The Palestinians Newest Game

The reasoning behind the Palestinians gaining the status of nonmember observer state through petitioning the General Assembly of the United Nations is just beginning to play out. They are planning on presenting two faces, one to the World at large through their Consulates and offices in the numerous countries who already exist and whatever others they are able to get permission to place new ones and the other in their dealings which involve Israel and UNRWA. To the world they are preparing stationary, letterheads, stamps, seals and all the trappings of an actual country named Palestine. With Israel, UNRWA and when petitioning for funding from any source willing to be fleeced they will utilize the Palestinian Authority dropping the statehood front in order to access their lifeblood, funding. These two conflicting and mutually exclusive identities each are the driving impetuous behind their separate personae and are necessary each for their own purposes. Let us look at each in turn.

The front they are presenting for Israel, UNRWA and their monetary benefactors throughout the world is simply the same pathetic pleadings and representing the entirety of Palestinians as downtrodden refugees without any means of support whose future is dependent on the generosity of others. They will continue their claims to having had their homeland stolen and all the other propaganda which has served them and played the entire world for fools for over half a century. This side will not change as without the funds they repeatedly and consistently fleeced Europe, the United States, and any other country, agency, or other monetary target they could. Mahmoud Abbas had initially thought and even made a preliminary announcement to declare the areas under Palestinian control to be Palestine and issue passports, visas, identity cards and drivers licenses, and other such issuances any other State or Country issues. Within twenty-four hours the initial statement was withdrawn and has subsequently been left to die being ignored by the world as the mistake the Palestinian leadership quickly had realized it had been. They realized that should they actually declare Palestine as a country they would necessarily need to establish actual borders and their game of defraud the world to finance their kleptocracy would come to a crushing end. They waited almost a week before making the next announcement that they were going to begin using all the papers and other signets and symbols of statehood in their dealings with the world through their foreign offices and consulates while retaining their refugee victim façade at home.

The front of actual statehood will now be acted out on the world stage through their official dealings out of their consulates, “embassies”, offices and other official capacities. They have prepared all the trappings necessary to facilitate their charade. They will likely use this front in an attempt to arrange to upgrade their offices and consulates into fully recognized embassies wherever they find a cooperative country. They will likely then proceed with their plans to drag Israel before every international court, agency, board and institution on as wide and tangled a variety of charges in order to try and get Israel condemned and, if their wildest dreams be realized, sanctioned until Israel will be left friendless and standing isolated from the rest of the world, a complete outcast and friendless. Their charade at the United Nations General Assembly where they pleaded their case for nonmember observer state for the most innocent and purest of intentions was solely committed with the most sinister of intentions. The poor, weak, victimized Palestinians now have their statehood with the love and blessings of the vast majority of the so-called civilized nations of the United Nations General Assembly and they are going to utilize this as their bludgeon with full malice in their mugging of Israel with every intent of driving the Jewish State from the face of the Earth.

The Palestinians have determinedly sought and tracked down through every and any track the title of statehood always with the intent of the destruction of the Jewish State, Israel. There is one hitch which the Palestinians unfortunately figured out before they acted rashly and became hoist on their own petard. The Palestinian leadership will now have to commit to a delicate balance between statehood and refugee status. Their full frontal attack using every possible mechanism the civilized world has to offer in transplanting a Palestine State on the corpse of Israel will have to be kept independent and separate from the Palestinian Authority which is completely dependent upon the generosity of the countries and agencies who fund them to the wildest demands and dreams of the confidence people leading the Palestinian’s dual persona. This dual identity must not be allowed to act in two separate, diametrically opposed and incompatible identities. The Palestinian leadership must be forced to choose which identity they are going to use going forward. They cannot be allowed to act as a state when that suits them and act like an international charity receptacle when that suits them. If the Palestinian people and their leaders decide that they are to be treated as an actual state, then UNRWA can be disbanded and the Palestinian Authority be discarded as a defunct entity and the refugees from the camps can be returned to their country which would presumably exist. If, on the other hand the Palestinian people and leadership wish to continue the refugee status and to collect funds from every possible source and be the beneficiaries of the generosity of UNRWA’s care, then they cannot assume to be a state when representing themselves to the world. Mahmoud Abbas and the rest of the leadership of the Palestinian people must be made to choose which identity will define how the world interacts with them. To allow the Palestinians to utilize a dual identity implementing which ever definition, state or world charity case, they find to be most advantageous in each moment and situation would make a mockery of the benevolent actions taken in the United Nations General Assembly by nations expressing a wish, a wish totally lacking in logic or sanity. To allow this provocation of the sensibilities and stretching of credulity to continue would be to encourage and facilitate the greatest fraud and confidence scheme in all of recorded history and possibly beyond.

Guaranteed Supporters for Any anti-Zionist or anti-Israel Standing

There are two groups of supporters who will join with any organizations, individuals, governments, groups, or academics who originate from two vastly different sources with one commonality; they are both made up of Jews. One of these groups is a closely knit, strictly religious Jews who belong to the Orthodox Jewish Neturei Karta that believe that Israel is not to be founded by man but instead must await the coming of the Moshiach, the Messiah. Their feelings are so ardent that some of their actions in the past have drawn serious criticisms from Jews from all sides, beliefs, politics, religiosity, and whether they are Zionist or not. One such activity was when a delegation of Neturei Karta Rabbis attended the October 27, 2005, Iranian conference named, “A World Without Zionism or America” which was held in Tehran, Iran. They gave Iranian President Ahmadinejad a public relations coup as he had numerous pictures showing him with these obviously religious Jews laughing and with the speeches given the conference by the representatives from Neturei Karta’s leading rabbis present. Where the members of the Neturei Karta sect of Judaism are to be permitted their beliefs and thoughts about the ideas and ideals of Zionism and the existence of Israel, they should, at the very least, refrain from giving such a media coup to somebody like Iranian President Ahmadinejad, the Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei or others whose final aim is the extermination of every last Jew not only in Israel but in the entire world, including the members of Neturei Karta.

The other groups of Jews who are facilitators for anti-Zionist or anti-Israel groups and organizations are extreme leftist secular Jews such as Professor Noam Chomsky; the Holocaust denier Norman Finkelstein; the leadership of extreme anti-Zionist NGOs such as Peace Now and B’Tselem; many other far-left academics; and many Jews who have replaced their personal performance of the Mitzvah of Tikkun Olam for voting for big government programs and leftist secular-humanist groups, organizations and NGOs supporting causes such as environmentalism, saving endangered animals, human rights, and especially pro-Palestinian and other anti-Israel NGOs. The Jews who take such stands are most often non-religious and have replaced religion with alignment with liberal, secular-humanist organizations, causes and NGOs which replace religion in their lives. These are their inspiration and give them definitions of what is right and just and what is wrong. These causes and groups supply their adherents with definitions for right and wrong, good and evil. They most closely resemble the Greek Hellenist Jews who spoiled the Holy Temple in Jerusalem by installing heathen Cyrenaic-Greek idols and performing sacrifices to the foreign idols. They, like the Hellenized Jews, often find great faults and stand in opposition of the strictly religious Jews. The really fascinating parallel is that the Hellenist Jews lived mostly along the coastal areas west of Jerusalem as well as within Jerusalem and ended up opposed and fighting against the Maccabees who were led by the Hasmonean family of Priests headed by Mattathias and who resided in Judea located east of Jerusalem while the modern secular Jews today fight against and oppose the Jewish communities built in the same Judea and are mainly religious Jews who are on the front line of defending the Lands of Israel just as did the Hasmoneans and the Maccabees. Sometimes the modern events and challenges facing the Jews residing in Israel parallel the ancient history of the original Jews, the Hebrews of historic lands which make up the current day modern Israel and Judea and Samaria. Another similarity is the fact that the modern Israeli religious Jews worst enemies are secular Jews while in ancient Israel the religious Jews were opposed by the Hellenized secular Jews. The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Would a Palestinian state in the West Bank Last?

We hear endless calls demanding Israel reach an agreement no matter what sacrifices and hardships it may require of the Israeli Jews. They are called upon by the European Union as well as each of its individual states to pull all the “settlers” off of their lands and return all of the areas beyond the Green Line, including the entirety of the Old city and East Jerusalem, to facilitate a viable Palestinian State. The most strident, which includes some from the Obama Administration as well as the State Department of the United States, among others, demand that Israel surrender a goodly portion of the Negev Desert in order to allow for Palestine to be fully contiguous and relieve the Palestinian of the necessity to cross Israeli controlled land when going from the West Bank to Gaza and back again. So, let us assume that Israel build a tunnel at Israeli expense to hold a five lane in each direction highway as well as train tracks for each direction in order to not have to surrender the Negev and granted the Palestinians complete autonomy and allowed the combined area of the West Bank and Gaza to become Palestine and see what would be the likely outcome. There are those who would like you to believe that such actions would bring all the violence and terrorism to an end and the two countries would live side by side in peace and prosperity.

The first problem which would need to be addressed by the new state of Palestine would be how to forge one governing body out of the two current and separate leaderships. Hamas is ruling in Gaza while Fatah as the Palestinian Authority rules in the West Bank, and they have yet to learn to play well together. If the past is any indicator, our best bet would be that Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood would win this argument and thus be the eventual governing force. Then comes the second problem and boy is it a problem. Lebanon, Syria and Jordan would take the formation of the Palestinian state as the starting bell in a race to see who could ship their Palestinian refugees out of the camps and into the West Bank or Gaza. Using population numbers provided by UNRWA from various sources, we can approximate the statistics for the state of Palestine. We would start with the core populations of the Gaza Strip which has approximately 1,110,000 Palestinians and the West Bank which has approximately 779,000 and add to these the approximate number the refugees from Lebanon, 425,000; Syria, 472,000; and Jordan 1,984,000 bringing the total population from a starting point of 1.9 Million and add an inflow of 2.9 Million giving the new country of Palestine a population approaching 5 Million where close to 3 Million would be new refugees who had no place to live and little if any resources. This alone would be sufficient to make the idea of a Palestinian state no longer viable without unimaginably massive infusions of cash from the outside. So, the first problem is how does the world force the countries currently holding Palestinian refugees prisoners in squalid refugee camps to continue providing services to these camps and to slowly incorporate them in numbers which could prove manageable? Should all of the refugees be dumped immediately into the newly formed Palestine, the country would collapse before it took its first step. For those who disbelieve this would be the most likely scenario, please look back at what Kuwait did immediately after the first Gulf War when the allied powers pushed Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait in 1991 and the Kuwaitis reacted to the fact that Yasser Arafat had backed Saddam Hussein. The Kuwaitis evicted close to half a Million Palestinian workers sending them to refugee camps or wherever, just as long as it was away from Kuwait.

The next item which would need to be addressed would be whether the terror and violence against Israel and the Jews could be expected or would the Palestinian state decry that it was failing due to the Israelis still restricting their freedom of action and stifling their economy and still enforcing a form of continued occupation. Insane, you say. This is exactly the claim made by Hamas, UNRWA, the United Nations, The UNHRC, the EU, numerous individual European governments, and is the primary dialogue espoused by many NGO’s which claim to be for fair treatment of the Palestinians with some even demand that Israel be deconstructed and made into a single state called Palestine with the Jews living under Arab Muslim rule. Almost every expose written about the starving refugees in Gaza reports that Israel is still placing Gaza under a virtual state of occupation. They report on the dire condition in the refugee camps that ring Gaza City. Truth be told, these refugee camps are in a dire state as they are denied basic necessities, the refugees are prevented from leaving, they are denied permission to work except at the most menial of jobs for substandard wages, they are denied the receipt of aid packages and funding which are diverted by Hamas to their own leaders and favored elites. Meanwhile, the Palestinians who are in favor with the ruling Hamas order live well, have a water park and a luxury mall and have a higher standard of living than the Palestinians living anywhere else including in the West Bank. There are an elite portion of the Palestinians living within Gaza who truly are living the good life at the expense of the rest, especially the refugees who are kept in the worst of conditions simply for political use and to give the NGO’s the videos and pictures with which to decry the Israeli continued occupation. What they are trying to cover up is that Israel removed every Jew and every IDF soldier and completely evacuated all of Gaza and did not impose the much criticized blockade until months later after Hamas had forced the Palestinian authority from power in a coup and it became apparent that Hamas was using the ports to import additional weapons, explosives, heavy weapons, fighters, rockets, mortars and everything they would need for a full scale war on Israel.

And last but not least, how long would it be after the granting of a Palestinian state would it be before terror attacks, rockets, mortars, sniper fire, and other general attacks would be raining down on the plains of Israel sitting beneath the Judean Hills which were awarded to the Palestinians for their state? How long before snipers would be shooting from the Temple mount into Western Jerusalem just as they had when Jordan held that high ground? How long before flights out of Ben Gurion International airport became targets for anti-aircraft shoulder launched missiles? Unlike Gaza, once the Palestinians have their own state with borders with friendly Arab and Muslim countries and fully functioning airports, then they will be able to import every sort of weapon their hearts desire. They would very likely make treaties with other Muslim nations and allow them to send troops into the Palestinian state to train and to use Israel as their live-fire range. If the Palestinians were to be given their state on their terms it would end in tragedy. They would use the vantage points overlooking the most densely populated areas of Israel which also contain the vast majority of their industry and infrastructure to disrupt and destroy everything they could manage to strike. Israel would come under twenty-four hour a day-seven days a week-fifty-two weeks a year barrages until they would have no choice but to declare they were under a state of war and respond in kind. The world would come unglued and respond with a fury so far unseen against Israel when Israelis finally demanded their government defend them and end the insanity which the world seems bent on imposing upon Israel. The world needs to clean or remove the glasses they currently use when taking stock of the situations in the Middle East. The miscalculations and misconception which are taking hold are beyond belief and the repercussions which will be produced in time will be nothing short of horrific. Mistakes in judgment have been made before and have always led to calamities which could have been avoided if avoidance had not been the fashion of the day. Every time in all of history there have been those who called the situations for what they were. Churchill predicted the wall built by the Soviet Union between East and West Europe, especially in Germany and Berlin in particular. Ze’ev Jabotinsky forewarned the Polish Jews that annihilation was soon coming to their communities. King Leonidas warned the Greek City States before he and his three hundred Spartans marched to Thermopylae to face the Persian hordes. And true to form, this time has had those who have sounded the clarion call for thoughtful and necessary response to the coming challenges which promise to be catastrophic if these warnings are not heeded. Yet, the loudest voices are calling out claiming all will be well if we simply take the easiest and most expedient of actions. No need for critical analyses as the correct path is obvious, give those who make the most noise that which they clamor for and they will be quieted and never demand another thing. After all, it works for their children; does it not work with yours too?
