Right off the top let me get this straight; I fully support the bombing of any infrastructure which ISIS can utilize to finance their operations including the oil refineries, both stationary and mobile, possibly even more for the mobile because of the increased abilities they provide for refining at any location. Further, I support the bombing of any location where ISIS has been proven to be quartered or any location where ISIS weapons of war, especially the heavy weapons systems stolen from the Syrian and Iraqi military supplies, even if they are placed within built-up civilian areas. Simply stated, I heartily support anything necessary in opposing, fighting and destroying every last vestige of ISIS and any terrorist group which is murdering innocents, performing forced conversions, mass murdering innocent civilians and threatening to spread their murderous intentions and activities throughout every nation simply to fulfill a religious conviction which they claim is a basic tenet demanded by the Quran and the Hadiths of all Muslims under the dogmas of Greater Jihad or any other terrorist entity which make the claim that they must oppress and convert by force under pain of death in service of their deity. That said, I also respect those military and political leaders who instruct and enforce policies and ROE (Rules of Engagement) which honor the sanctity of innocent human life and their properties and possessions to the extent that they take precautions to avoid injury and damage to these innocents and their necessities for life whenever possible and to the greatest extent as long as doing such does not prevent accomplishing the necessary and principle objectives of their mission objectives. All this in mind, I support the efforts made by the United States and their allies.
My question for those who demand that Israel somehow fight against terrorist entities without harming a single blade of grass or disturb even one single delicate spider’s web, let alone anything of greater importance also included is, where is your indignation over the bombing of infrastructure and possible casualties of civilians with the bombing of ISIS in Syria and Iraq? Those who across almost every border and especially those within Israel who demand that Israel cease defending her citizens and instead negotiate with those whose only goal is to murder every last Jew as they wipe our homeland from the map and try to erase the Jewish People from the annals of history are now strangely silent. Where are these very same people and why are they not demanding that the United States cease their bombing of ISIS simply because they desire a nation to call their own and negotiate with ISIS and set borders after which I am sure ISIS will rejoice and peace will reign over the Middle East and ISIS will be satisfied with fair and agreed borders and will cease threatening the world. If such is acceptable and demanded of Israel when facing Hamas which launches rockets generally aiming to strike Israeli population centers and as a part of their charter they claim their highest desire is to establish a homeland from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea and murdering every last Jew residing in Israel, how is Hamas truly any different than ISIS. They then have written into their charter the demand that they continue to spread Islam across the globe and murder every last Jew in order to bring on the establishment of Islamic end times and the final battle which results in a world of only Muslims. This is supposed to result with the leadership of Hamas in their rightful place as the leaders beside Mohammad and the holy of Allah who descended to assist in the establishment of a grand Caliphate in the final battle for the purification of the world.
Why should Israel not be supported in their fight for their survival from terrorists who have the same end goals of supremacy over the world as does ISIS? Israel should have every right to fight those terrorists who represent the exact same threat to all of civilization and have chosen to fight Israel initially because they think they know some simple facts that, if they prove valid, would be very sad; yet it appears that too many in the world support these ideas. Their assumptions are that as long as they mostly target Israel and limit their threats to Jews then the world will grant them a special place where despite their having exactly the same designs and end goals as the rest of the Islamist terrorist entities, they will be treated separately and permitted and even financed and supported in their struggle for as long as it takes to destroy Israel. What is unfortunate is how much the actions of the world’s governments, international organizations, nongovernmental organizations, statesmen and people of note or repute line up condemning Israel for her efforts to defend her citizens, all her citizens be they Jewish, Arab, Christian, Muslim and any other persuasion or none at all with everything and in every way possible. The extent to which Israel makes the investment and dedication of research, development, testing, refinement and perfecting in order to have a system that functions with reliable consistency to protect her people and allots the funding to build the defensive systems such as the Iron Dome which was the single most valuable asset Israel deployed in the last conflict with Hamas resulting from the aggressions by Hamas in abducting three Israeli innocent teens and murdering them followed by the launching of hundreds of rockets daily into Israel eventually resulting in over three thousand rockets fired into Israel before the conflict ceased (for now). The world demanded why so few Israelis died compared to the Palestinian casualties. There are a number of reasons but the two which are most important are that the number of combatants killed equaled the number of civilians killed which actually is a ratio that exceeds recorded ratios in conflicts and wars throughout history for lowest percentages for civilian fatalities. The other reason was the Iran Dome which intercepted well over 90% of the rockets which the Iron Dome systems computed would land in populated areas and its accuracy in making these determinations was approaching perfection. Next time that terrorists decide that the time is right to launch fierce attacks against Israel try and remember that should these terrorists ever succeed in destroying Israel their next target will be identical to ISIS, the rest of the world even including other Muslims who hold different versions of Islam, just like ISIS, and then pray Israel never falls before those terrorist forces. They are all servants who have surrendered their will and their lives to Allah.
There is a story which was reported by the officer who commanded one of the Iron Dome units which was guarding Tel Aviv that I wish to relate and have waited for the right time. The right time never seems to come so I decided this is close enough. This single event may provide another reason that there were so few casualties, especially fatalities, in Israel despite the massive numbers of rockets rained down on Israeli territory with most close to though not successfully targeting populated areas including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv metropolitan areas. Here is one of the many articles documenting this miracle, praise G0d. The story is partly an answer to the rumor that when asked by a reporter from an Arab news source what was wrong with the ability of the rockets to hit anything in Israel saying, Don’t you aim your rockets? The Hamas Officer’s response was, “We do aim [our rockets], but their G0d changes their path in mid-air.” There might just be something to that officer’s lament as reported by an Iron Dome commanding officer who related the story.
“A missile was fired from Gaza. Iron Dome precisely calculated [its trajectory]. We know where these missiles are going to land down to a radius of 200 meters. This particular missile was going to hit either the Azrieli Towers, the Kirya (Israel’s equivalent of the Pentagon) or [a central Tel Aviv railway station]. Hundreds could have died.”
“We fired the first [interceptor]. It missed. Second [interceptor]. It missed. This is very rare. I was in shock. At this point we had just four seconds until the missile lands. We had already notified emergency services to converge on the target location and had warned of a mass-casualty incident.”
“Suddenly, Iron Dome (which calculates wind speeds, among other things) shows a major wind coming from the east, a strong wind that…sends the missile into the sea. We were all stunned. I stood up and shouted, ‘There is a G0d!’ I witnessed this miracle with my own eyes. It was not told or reported to me. I saw the hand of G0d send that missile into the sea.”
The article also relates the witness by Colonel Ofer Winter and what occurred to him and his men during their mission in Gaza. Their assault on the targeted position was delayed for technical, or less likely tactical, reasons as such adjustments in orders and/or timing for units movements and attacks once combat has been initiated, and instead of advancing under the cover of darkness they were going to move after sunrise and in the bright light of day. This alteration could only make their advance and movements more difficult and increased the risks and dangers for his men. When the moment finally came for their advance a strange fog blanketed their movements providing them concealment all the way to their objective. As he said in another article, “Suddenly a cloud protected us.” In a reference to the Bible where it describes how a fog protected the Israelites as they wandered in the desert he called the fog. “Clouds of glory.” Then quoting from Deuteronomy he added, “It really was a fulfillment of the verse ‘For the Lord your G0d is the One who goes with you to give you victory,’” Perhaps the Hamas officer spoke more truth than he knew and perhaps that makes this a great place to end.
