Why is it Always With Israel?

Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT), together with ten members of the House of Representatives, have submitted letter to Secretary of State Kerry demanding that the State Department investigate claims that Israel has committed “gross violations of human rights,” and depending on the results to cut military aid to the Jewish state. Politico released to the public this letter demanding State Department action on Tuesday night after the news site received it from “an organization that provided input for it,” claiming it was submitted on February 17, of this year. The letter also called out Egypt for the same inspections and similar charges of committing “extrajudicial killings,” “forced disappearances,” and concludes claiming, “According to information we have received, the manner in which US military assistance has been provided to Israel and Egypt, since the Camp David Accords, including the delivery of assistance at the military service level, has created a unique situation that has hindered implementation of normal mechanisms for monitoring the use of such assistance.”

The letter demanded that should any of these suspicions prove potentially valid that all military aid to the offending nation, Israel or Egypt, should be immediately terminated and as, “in light of these reports we request that you act promptly to determine their credibility and whether they trigger the Leahy Law and, if so, take appropriate action called for under the law.” The Leahy Law requires the State Department to review all nations’ military ethics and should human rights offensives be uncovered then military aid is to be curtailed in a manner such that no military hardware from the United States is used in such efforts. This letter coming from Senator Patrick Leahy is as suspicious as it gets. This should bother any friends of Israel and of sanity in relations with Arab nations whose leadership is assisting with the world war being fought on the streets of Europe, North America, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia as conditions permit. This war seeks cracks in security and lapses or weaknesses and then they strike as was recently evident in Brussels and previously in Paris or the attack on Mumbai on November 26-29, 2008. The Mumbai assault and the Paris attacks were quite similar as they both marked military style sweeping targets of opportunity and murdered or destroyed as many people and property as possible. The horror over the three days it took to eventually eradicate the threat kept much of the world on edge realizing what a well-rehearsed and well-trained squad could hold a city hostage for an extended period. One of the forever emblazoned views was the fire at the Taj hotel pictured below.

Senator Leahy and likely his supporting Representatives are just being good soldiers and doing the bidding of President Obama. The fact that President Obama would love to stand up any deliveries of F-35 JSF jets and other armaments and potentially remove the cache of weapons, armor and ammunition kept in Israel presumably for use in any emergency be it the IDF or United States military operating in the Middle East or other areas in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. President Obama had picked Egypt to be given to the Muslim Brotherhood and when that fell apart, the fact the President desired to injure the new government as much as possible in order to potentially allow the Muslim Brotherhood to reestablish rule in Egypt. The displeasure, some might call it obsessive hot hatred, for Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israel in general, we won’t refer to President Obama as being anti-Semitic, but his background could be so interpreted and his desire to cripple the IDF tying the hands of Israel making them susceptible to attack such that they will beg for a direction that will relieve their military threat due to lack of resupply in an emergency. President Obama would like nothing more than to have President Sisi removed from office and President Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood return to power in Egypt.

In Israel his desire is more ominous as President Obama wants Israel subdued and forced to make the peace plan he sees as fair with the Green Line as the border for Israel. President Obama would be overjoyed to see the current Israeli government fold and perhaps somebody more pliable become Prime Minister, preferably somebody who desires Israel be democratic over Jewish. Such a leader might be willing to allow the formation of a bi-national state with allowance for the “Palestinian Arab refugees,” all five to eight million or as many as they can invent including large numbers of former Syrians to flood the new bi-national state. The immediate election would prove to give the Arabs a large majority in the Parliament and to choose their own Prime Minister and after that allow for Sharia and the Jews be forced to convert or die. Hey, what could be better, it solves the Israeli-Arab conflict once and for all and would mean a second Nobel Peace Prize for the arranger of the greatest genocide that matched the Shoah in Jewish lives, so you broke a few eggs to make the omelet. The real threat is having the State Department decide anything referring to Israel, the nation the State Department has shown a constant animosity from even before Israel was declared and recommended that President Truman not recognize the Jewish State. Truman ignored their advice and stuck to what his mother and religion had taught him was the correct thing to do. The State Department did manage to force the United States to enact an arms embargo on Israel during the war of 1948-9 where her very existence was in doubt for much of the war. This is a vindictive attempt likely having the White House’s fingers all over the Senator Leahy request as he has been a foot soldier and supported President Obama every step of the way, this was just one more job which needed doing, and Leahy was there and at the ready. Let us hope the review lasts until the next President takes office and the United States can find some sanity from the circus which has been the primary election process thus far. Does anybody see hope for sanity in the coming White House and if so, who?
