Time to Choose Sides Between Israel and Palestinian Arabs

There is no such workable concept of the Two State Solution which can work. The reason might just surprise many because the side which is unwilling to accept any compromise are the Palestinian Arabs and their leadership. Any Muslim who is honest would tell you that there can never be any compromise with the non-Muslims because Islam is directed to rule the world as the sole religion as decreed by Allah. This concept is quite foreign to Jews, as no such concept exists in Judaism. Judaism has one area of land which is central to the religion, and that is the area promised to Abraham and which extends from the Litani River in the north to the Sinai border in the south and the Mediterranean to the west and the Jordan River to the east. When the Jewish People conquered the lands, they also kept some of the lands on the east side of the Jordan River, which were actually additional to the original promise quoted in Torah (see map below). Modern Israel would be quite satisfied to have the lands with our current norther and southern borders and with the Jordan River as our eastern border even without Gaza. If the world would provide for these lands which were actually promised by the League of Nations, the United States in a treaty signed with the British backing the Mandate System, the United Nations under Article 80 and guaranteed by the British Crown, then Israel would be quite defendable and far more safe making everything quieter. Many Zionists are simply perplexed that the world cannot simply keep their promise and afterwards simply leave Israel alone and in exchange, we will share everything we might invent, discover or develop with the rest of the world, continue to be amongst the first to arrive with life-saving technologies including a fully operating field hospital with every kind of diagnostic tool and operating rooms, search and rescue teams with trained animals and robotics to save people in toppled buildings or other dangerous situations, remote clinics taking treatment to even the most remote locations and whatever else might assist those stricken in any emergency.

Eretz Yisroel from back in the time immediately after Exodus and before the additional conquest by King David and King Solomon with the original division of the lands between the Tribes covering both sides of the Jordan River. The Israelis and Jews in general could attempt to demand that Eretz Yisroel, the Land of Israel be made whole as was First Apportioned by Hashem.

Even if the world granted us the area described above, it still makes Israel the one-hundred-forty-sixth country by size. That puts Israel as the nation just smaller than Haiti. The United Nations lists Israel as the one-hundredth most populous nation. Lastly, by population density, Israel is the thirty-second highest population density nation, just ahead of India. What makes almost no sense is that Israel, the one-hundred-forty-sixth largest country, the one-hundredth most populous nation and with the thirty-second highest population density, all of which should make it one of the least interesting places; yet, it often appears as if Israel is the center of the world which draws the attention of every nations, organization, politician and people to the near exclusion of the rest of the world despite many places with far more significant problems and threats than Israel which poses no threat outside her borders unless forced to respond to external threats. Right next-door is Syria where the people are being exterminated by their own government and life has become all but impossible for much of the population with cities and historic sights from ancient history being all but completely destroyed and the world all but shrugs in response. We hear how Israel is responsible for the horrific conditions under which Palestinian Arab refugees live despite there not being a single Palestinian Refugee Camp within Israel. These camps are in numerous Arab nations as well as in Gaza and the Palestinian Areas. Syria has destroyed every Palestinian Refugee Camp within their borders with al-Assad targeting the largest one repeatedly such that when the survivors of his initial attacks attempted to rebuild, he attacked them again and again. Kuwait expelled every Palestinian Arab after the First Gulf War after Arafat supported Saddam Hussein. That included every worker as well as any refugees. Lastly, there have been over six-hundred Palestinians killed in internal clashes since 2006 having absolutely no Israelis involved.

Much of the above probably never crossed your news feeds unless you are extremely attentive; yet, when Israel, while defending their border and civilians from the attempts of Hamas to have marauding hordes break through the border and slaughter Jews, makes the lead on the news day after day. This desire was proven by the statements made by Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar when he stated that the Gazans breaking the border would, “eat the livers of those besieging” as well as “tear out their hearts from their bodies.” The United Nations and a number of European politicians and the UNHRC were amongst those demanding that Israel be investigated because of the death of sixty-two Gazans in one day of border rioting despite knowing that Hamas claimed that at least fifty of them were their operatives, read terrorists, and Islamic Jihad claimed three more meaning that over eighty-five percent of those victims were terrorists. In a war time scenario, having such a high percentage of terrorists killed in a rioting situation is an indication of taking great care not to injure, let alone kill, innocent people. All of those who Israel has shot at were either actively attempting to destroy the border fence, border surveillance equipment or launching incendiary objects into Israel or posing some discernable threat with only a very small number of people who were potentially wrongfully struck. Still, those small few along with some who it turned out were not the innocents they claimed are all the news covers and do so in such a manner as if Israel is shooting at people for no reason which is the reporting that these have been peaceful protests, a subject which has been disproven here and in most honest reporting. Israel simply desires for her borders to be quiet and not require armed enforcement to prevent terrorists from succeeding in murdering Israeli civilians. This was proven with the recent Hamas rocket and mortar barrage where all their targets were civilian locations and none were targeting the IDF or any military installations. Hamas intent is to murder civilians on both sides as if they get their own civilians killed, they can be used to make Israel look horrible in the media, a media which is all too anxious to run with anything that condemns Israel while avoiding things which tell the reality about Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Palestinian Authority (PA) as Israel is the side responsible for all the problems and the Arabs must be portrayed as the unfortunate innocents who are being oppressed by the super-power Israel.

When reading the accusations of Israel, there is another trope of the Israeli desire to form a “Greater Israel” conquering the lands from the Euphrates River to the Nile River (see top map below). This conspiracy theory came from a supposed quote from Theodore Hertzl, the acclaimed founding father of Zionism, who presumably stated was, “the area of the Jewish State stretches from the brook of Egypt to the Euphrates.” This is simple proof that even great men say things which are wrong-headed and an erroneous reference. There was a greater Israel which did exist which some refer to as the empire period of Israel. This was the areas which were conquered by King David and extended by King Solomon (see lower map) before everything fell apart and the Jewish State broke into two states, Israel (the northern kingdom) and Judea (the southern kingdom) which were subsequently conquered. Israel was first to be conquered when the Assyrians conquered them, and this consisted of ten tribes who became lost until the modern times, and they are now reappearing from many corners of the world. Then Judea was conquered by Babylon which contained two tribes of Judah and Benjamin and these became the Jews whose history also ended up spread around the world after the Roman dispersion and also broke into separate factions. Reuniting the Jewish People will be the largest challenge for modern Israel as the lost tribes return and the separate factions of the Jewish People combine and need to develop a single Judaism which every Jew can accept. Time and intermarriage will assist in finding this single Judaism.

With the trope of a greater Israel put aside, let us return to our actual modern inanities. The coverage of the Gaza rioting orchestrated by Hamas is proof that when it comes to Israel you either have to do a great amount of digging through many varied new sources or visit Israel for at least a couple of weeks, but preferably far longer, and witness what is happening for yourself. Now for a view we found interesting and revealing from a person named David Collier who has a sizable knowledge of the region, recently visited much of the PA regions as well as some Israeli communities beyond the Green Line, and wrote about in an article titled, “Beyond the great divide, a trip inside the Palestinian areas.” The Palestinian Arabs cannot reach a peace with the Israelis simply because the Islamists of the PA refuse to allow any agreement where Israel continues to exist as a Jewish State or anything where the Arab Muslims are not ruling absolutely. The PA leadership has numerous times re-quoted the infamous Yasser Arafat speech made in Arabic, thus impossible for the Western reporters to translate and report, where he stated, “Since we cannot defeat Israel in war we do this in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel.” This is their official policy but even with this, they refuse to make peace. Mahmoud Abbas has a secondary reason for not making peace, because he cannot permit Israel to not operate in the entire area providing security. Israeli intelligence prevents Hamas from taking over the Palestinian Authority by murdering Mahmoud Abbas and forming a coup. This was exactly how Hamas took control of Gaza through the murder of the Fatah representatives who governed Gaza. There have been many attempts on Abbas’s rule and Israel has prevented them even when the PA security had no idea of the plans. Abbas depends on the Israelis to keep the PA in his control, but Abbas will not live forever, and once he dies, there is no chosen successor. The PA will fracture and it is possible that Hamas will attempt a takeover.

Currently, the PA regions are largely well off, far more so than in many of the Arab nations. They have a relatively healthy economic outlook, many Palestinians actually work in Israeli owned companies earning the same as their Israeli coworkers, and some of these Arabs are in management with Jews working willingly with Arab supervisors. This is the proof that the two populations can work and live in peace if only given a chance. On the other side of the equation, there are many Arabs who would leave and return to their nation of origin and rejoin their family or tribe which they left some time ago seeking work and now they simply desire returning home. The problem is if they attempt to sell their properties and leave and the PA security forces find out, they may face problems from being ordered to remain to being killed as a lesson to all others not to try and leave and dessert the cause. The PA is tasked with enforcing the Arab League’s original directive that the Jewish State must be destroyed and the Jews subjugated or killed. This was the directive from even before 1948 when Israel declared her independence. The Arab League gave the order to prevent the formation of any non-Islamic nation, especially one ruled by the accursed Jews, from back as far as 1917 with the Balfour Declaration. Others claim it gave the order in 1920 with the results of the San Remo Conference which gave international backing and encoded the Balfour Declaration. The truth is it does not matter when the Arab League decided that the Jews must not be permitted to rule any lands which once was conquered by Islam. The reason that it does not matter is because this has been a belief of Islam ever since they burst out of the Arabian Peninsula and started conquering lands after lands. Here are some quotes which describe the situation from the Arab viewpoint.

This is the law governing the land of Palestine in the Islamic Sharia and the same goes for any land the Muslims have conquered by force, because during the times of conquests, the Muslims consecrated these lands to Muslim generations till the Day of Judgement.” (The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement, 18 August 1988, Article Three)

In The Dhimmi Bat Ye’or writes (page 45): “The jihad is a global conception that divides the peoples of the world into two irreconcilable camps: that of the dar al-Harb, the “Territory of War,” which covers those regions controlled by the infidels; and the dar al-Islam, “the Territory of Islam,” the Muslim homeland where Islamic law reigns. The jihad is the normal and permanent state of war between the Muslims and the dar al-Harb, a war that can only end with the final domination over unbelievers and the absolute supremacy of Islam throughout the world.”

This is how the Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement spells it out in several passages: “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.” (The Martyr, Imam Hassan el-Banna)

The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Muslim generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered; it, or any part of it, should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that. Palestine is an Islamic Waqf land consecrated for Muslim generations until Judgement Day. This being so, who could claim to have the right to represent Muslim generations till Judgement Day?

This is the problem, the Arab side believes that all they need do is continue to refuse to make peace and the Jews will tire of the fighting and leave just as everyone they faced before left. They outwaited the Byzantines, Crusaders, Napoleon, the Ottomans, the British and now believe they can outwait and use violence and chase the Jews from the land. There are a few problems with their feelings, the Jews waited over two-thousand years to return, and return is very important, to their ancient homelands. The others which the Arabs outwaited all had one thing in common; they had somewhere else to which they could retreat. Even the Byzantines could retreat into Europe and became parts of the various nations which made up the Holy Roman Empire which eventually became the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and Germany and Poland. The Crusaders had Europe, Napoleon had Elba, the Ottomans returned to Turkey after World War I, the British have their Island. Where can the Jews retreat? Trust that the Europeans will not permit the Jews to retreat into Europe, the Arab World will not take back the Jews they threw out of their lands, and history has told Jews escaping the Holocaust that they had no room for more Jews in a number of ways which include the most obvious, the Voyage of the MS St. Louis. We might as well face the truth, the Jewish People have nowhere to go other than Israel, and so even if we desired to leave, where could we go. The Jews are coming home and once we are here, we have absolutely no plans to go anywhere else and just like the Arabs, we are a desert people just as they are and have the same patience and proven to have more patience. Waiting over two-thousand years to return to Eretz Yisroel is proof that we will outwait the Arabs who only came out of Arabia around fourteen-hundred-years ago. As they continue to say no to peace we will continue to advance and give the world wonders and improve life oddly enough for us as well as for the Arabs of the PA. As far as Gaza with Hamas and Islamic Jihad as well as Iran and the threats coming from them in the forms of Hezballah and their own extra-border military irregulars such as the IRGC and Quds Force and other terrorist threats, eventually they will cross a line making their threat so life-threatening that Israel will have no other choice but to eradicate the threat. The world will scream, but they always yell and scream, so we are used to such events. With things frozen in an eternal face-off, one need choose the side they prefer to have be the victor as the only solution will come when one side defeats the other, nothing less.
