Palestinian Authority, UNESCO and the Group of 77

Filed under: Israel — qwertster @ 2:03 AM

To explain what is occurring, we will have to reverse the title as we go through the various machinations. The Group of 77 (G-77) is a vital link to understanding much of what happens in the world, specifically when it comes to denouncing specific nations and working through the United Nations and its various agencies, especially UNESCO. G-77 is made up of one-hundred-thirty-four nations which are all in the United Nations. The United Nations has one-hundred-ninety-three voting member states which gives G-77 a comfortable majority enabling them to pass anything they desire through the General Assembly. The G-77 also controls a number of regions which include Africa, Asia, Middle East and South America (see map below). Because of their controlling of these continents, they hold a majority of the seats on virtually every United Nations various agencies which currently includes UNESCO. To give one a flavor for the proclivities of the G-77, they just elected Palestinian Authority President, Chairman of Fatah Party, Leader of the PLO and financier of the Munich Olympics Murders of the Israeli Olympic Team Mahmoud Abbas to head their block of nations. We can pretty much promise that one of their objectives will be to have Palestine recognized as a real nation state and propose for it to be granted United Nations member nation status. They may even have a sufficient number of their members taking their turn on the United Nations Security Council to force one of the permanent five nations (Russia, China, United Kingdom, France and the United States) to use their veto or such will most definitely pass. We can state clearly that we fear that should the Democrat Party win the White House, such a motion would more than likely be permitted to pass the Security Council with the United States abstaining from the vote exactly as was the case towards the end of the terms of President Obama when United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 (fortunately chapter 6) to pass with the United States abstaining. There were a number of people who claimed that President Obama had a strong input as to how the resolution was phrased.

The G-77 have become a world level dictatorial group who are heavily swayed by the Arab League (see map below), which includes twenty-two of the members, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) (see map below), which includes the Arab League members as an integral part of its fifty-seven member states. These two organizations are more of a set and subset of each other along with other interlinking organizations (see Venn diagram below) which, even when disagreements arise, they tend to maintain sufficient cohesion to control much of the United Nations and related agencies and organizations. This is a vital part of what is coming up in the near future starting in the G-77.

The latest brilliant idea coming from the Palestinian Authority and to be brought first before the G-77 to assure full cooperation and backing, then to UNESCO and potentially the General Assembly in the form of denouncing Israeli lies and false claims, will be insisting that Israel is again stealing Palestinian history and destroying their heritage. Of course, it helps that Mahmoud Abbas is the President of the Palestinian Authority and of the G-77 such that he will present this to them all but guaranteeing their acceptance. This will become the normative path for all Palestinian Authority claims against Israel and anybody else using the position of Mahmoud Abbas for maximum influence and muscle at the United Nations. The initial claim is going to be that Israel is stealing archaeological items from “occupied Palestinian lands” and using them to falsify history. They wish to threaten archaeologists that they will be charged with a crime if they partake, recognize or take any other disturbing act by UNESCO once they get their claim validated by that organization. The first thing to remember is that legally there is no such thing as Palestinian occupied lands. Under international law which uses treaties and international conventions as well as the Mandate System set up by the League of Nations and still enforceable under Article 80 of the United Nations Charter, all lands west of the Jordan River are legally part of Israel. The occupation under international law is the Arab presence on lands legally belonging to Israel and they will continue to legally be Israel unless and until Israel signs a treaty forgiving her rightful claim. This statement of fact is very often met with wild gyrations, much clamoring, demands and insistences that such is wildly inaccurate and numerous other accompanying actions up to and including threats but in the end, the World Courts would award all the land to Israel. This is why the world presses so hard to have Israel sign a treaty defining parts of her lands to be surrendered to the Arabs for yet another state cut out of the Mandate lands making there be two Arab nations and one Jewish, until they chop it down to the size of Tel Aviv.

These claims that these excavations are of Palestinian archaeological sites is of great interest as most of the sites are anywhere from 1500 to 3500 years in age. But we need to remember that according to Palestinian historians and their numerous backers that the Arabs who left the Arabian Peninsula around the year 635AD arrived in the lands west of the Jordan river four thousand years ago in the year 2000 BCE. Basically, their claim is they surged out of the Arabian Peninsula at the start of the Islamic conquest of the MENA lands and beyond and time-traveled back 2600 years plus to arrive where Israel is today. Were there Arabs in Israel before 600 AD? Yes, mostly caravan traders who would come to sell their wares and buy items to sell when they returned home. Were there Jews in the Arabian Peninsula before 600 AD? Yes, as proven by the Quran as it names tribes of Jews which Muhammad decimated or exiled from the Peninsula. The initial conquest of the Levant (Israel and Lebanon) by Islamic forces occurred in the year 634 (see map below). The final conquest of the region by Islamic forces was in 1187 with the siege of Jerusalem by Salah ad-Din or Saladin, an Islamic Kurd. Even after Saladin solidified Islamic rule over the region of Israel, Jews remained residing in the region largely in Jerusalem despite hardships and persecution.

The actual archaeological records of the region have verified the conquests and empire built by Kings David and Solomon who established what has been referred to as Greater Israel. Their lands reached from the Euphrates River to the Wadi of Egypt. There are those who claim the Zionists want to conquer a region they call Greater Israel reaching from the Euphrates River to the River Nile. The reference to Greater Israel is a historic reference to the Israelite (Jewish) Empire under Kings David and Solomon (see map below). This is the empire they never taught in your school simply because the education was likely Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, Shinto, Native American or anything but Jewish. Some of the aforementioned refused to recognize that the Jews ever established any greater lands or empire as that would have weakened their claims to have subjugated the Jews and the rest were teaching Asian or other histories which did not cover the Middle East, specifically the area including Israel. The Israelite Empire existed from 1050 BCE through 930 BCE before disputes over who was the legitimate heir to the throne of King Solomon broke the lands into two nations, Israel (the ten northern tribes which became the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel) and Judea (who were called Judeans which the Romans decided was too long and shortened it to Ju – pronounced Jew).

Israeli history and the Jewish history has already been declared irrelevant by UNESCO as they decided, when approached by the Arab nations in the name of the Palestinians, that the Jews have no historic ties or links to Jerusalem and in another UNESCO decision they declared in agreement with the Islamic world that the Jews have no link to the Temple Mount. Now the Arabs in the name of Palestine are going to present UNESCO with another resolution declaring all the archaeological finds on what is declared occupied Palestine are not Jewish but are Palestinian sites which the Jews are attempting to pass off as theirs. This has far greater implications than many realize as they believe that declared occupied Palestine in the Shomron region of Judea and Samaria and Gaza. The Arabs and Palestinian Authority as well as Hamas, Islamic Jihad and most of the Arab and Islamic worlds believe that all of Israel is occupied Palestine and the Jews never lived in the region. It is their claim that the Jews are not even a historic people and the modern Jews have no ties to the Israelites or any of the tribes. They believe every libel claiming that the Jews are some European tribe called the Khazars. This has been refuted but is still spread as fact and a means of uprooting the Jews from Israel. What, even if this were true, does this have to do with the other half of the Jews in Israel who came to Israel after the Arabs dispossessed them of all wealth and properties and exiled them into an uncaring world where only Israel accepted the vast majority of close to a million Jews without a country, around eight-hundred-fifty-thousand were absorbed by Israel. The Arab League, IOC and Palestinian Authority are going to utilize the many varied agencies and the General Assembly to disposes and disprove the Jewish claims to Israel by simply erasing the Jews and in their place claiming that everything is Palestinian and thereby proof that they were the people residing in the region as far back as four thousand years and perhaps further. This replacement of the Jews by the Arabs being completely false is irrelevant as the world will vote and let’s face it, the Jews are hardly going to win popularity contests.

Within most of our lifetimes, the United States will distance itself from Israel. The writing is on the wall and has been present there for years. It is simply that the speed with which the world has been willing to adopt the Palestinian claims that they were the ancient inhabitants of the land of Israel, despite any and all evidence to the contrary, has only increased with alarming regularity. Nations which Israel has assisted when they were in dire need after natural disasters vote against Israel. Such thanks has not prevented Israel from assisting some of these nations again when another disaster has struck. Places where Israel has introduced water purifications, medical assistance and all forms of aid and technology will still denounce Israel at every turn. It is a good thing for the world that Israel does not bother to keep a scorecard and use such to decide where to share her resources, special aid and other forms of support for other nations in need. Israel is determined to be a “Light unto the Nations,” no matter what she need overlook as Israel realizes that there are people in need and there are the governments over these people and the two are only loosely related. Israel has done all she is able to ignore the hatred spewed in her direction. Israel has arranged to perform needful heart surgery on infants from every corner of the globe and even found means for transporting those from Arab nations through a neutral third country to protect their identities all as part of their Save a Child’s Heart programs. This program has also trained doctors worldwide and set up entire departments with equipment and all the necessary training of nurses and staff at hospitals around the third world. Here is an article listing the top twenty-two ways Israel aided Africa in last three years. Keep in mind that all of Africa are members in the G-77. Israel is a world leader in providing disaster relief. Below is a map which we apologize is a few years old which displays Israeli disaster relief efforts more of which is at the last link. Then there is MASHAV which is the Israeli Agency for International Development Cooperation.

We could continue with effort after effort Israel makes and for which mostly the governments may issue a statement immediately after Israel has aided their people in need but the love is definitely unrequited when the time comes to vote in the halls of the United Nations. Fortunately for most of the world, Israel, unlike the United States currently, does not take down names nor remember the slights paid her by most of the world and thinks only about the people in need and how to relieve their distress. But the world turns and over time it will become necessary for Israel to disassociate from the United Nations. If Israel refuses to do so, the end result will be the United Nations separating itself from Israel when they demand that Israel relinquish her membership as that institution has decided that Israel is not actually a real nation. This may prove to be a freeing event as once Israel has been disassociated from the United Nations, what sway do they actually think they will retain. Such a disassociation could prove to be the best thing which could ever happen to Israel. For those who do not believe such could ever happen claiming that the United States will always and always has supported Israel, you need to read this. On that recommendation we will call it a day, thank you.
