Republicans Lining Up Behind Biden Foreign Policies

Filed under: Israel — qwertster @ 2:57 AM

Numerous establishment Republicans, including Senator Mitch McConnell, have come out almost completely hidden from any coverage but signaling the Biden team that they are prepared to return to the old normal reinstating troops into Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria and who knows where else. Almost all of the population of these nations hate America and despise the American troops interfering in their nation and in too many instances killing relatives, friends and countrymen angering the population as a whole. This is not to claim that the United States has no friends or citizens allied with the efforts, but have a very different view of what is reality and the preferred results than the American government.

The saddest result of the United States elections will be the end of the efforts being made to ally the Sunni Arab states with Israel in efforts to counter the Iranian threats. Currently, Iran is backing revolutionary forces in Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria as well as using these forces to attack Saudi Arabia. President Trump has negotiated recognition treaties between Israel and Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and had intimated that further Sunni states were already lined up to normalize relations with Israel. We can forget any further successes such as these once Trump leaves office and President Biden returns to supporting Iran, cutting off aid and support to most of the Sunni Arab states and leaning on Israel to make concessions to the Palestinian Authority (PA) ceding land for yet another Arab state formed within the heart of Israel cutting Israel in half in order to provide a “safe passage” for Palestinians desiring to cross from the West Bank to Gaza. The Obama/Biden policy towards Israel, the policy Biden’s team has promised to reinstate as American policy, demands that Israel return to within the pre-June 1967 borders, also known as the Green Line, as well as ceding a safe corridor proposed to be between five and ten miles wide cutting through the middle of Israel. All of the Arab controlled regions within Israel all have signs (pictured below) forbidding Israelis from entering these areas by law as well as common sense as entering these regions often results in a gruesome death. This is likely what is in store for Israel and her peoples. Such signs do not exist for Palestinian traffic entering Israel to shop, visit friends or relatives, go sightseeing, go to the Mediterranean beaches and virtually any other activity.

We can expect to once again see the Biden version of the Obama world view foreign policy placing America at the direction of world groups such as the UN, WHO, WTO and numerous other entities and agreements which are almost universally not in the interest of Israel, Israelis and possibly America and the world. This is a time we honestly pray that we are completely wrong and President Biden could pleasantly surprise us. One reason we have doubts comes from an exchange between a Senator Biden and then Israeli Prime Minister Began accusing Israel of actions which if continued could end aid to Israel, with which we will end the article.

Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin’s response to Senator Joe Biden:

“Don’t threaten us with cutting off your aid. It will not work. I am not a Jew with trembling knees. I am a proud Jew with 3,700 years of civilized history. Nobody came to our aid when we were dying in the gas chambers and ovens. Nobody came to our aid when we were striving to create our country. We paid for it. We fought for it. We died for it. We will stand by our principles. We will defend them. And, when necessary, we will die for them again, with or without your aid.”
