If a story is never reported, did it still happen? That has become a question I have asked myself every single day almost without exception. You see I feel the pain in my own way every time I find the report in some lesser known news agencies and through word of mouth. That is also something nobody ever really reports about in Israel, news travels in numerous quiet channels reaching every corner of the land despite the little inconvenience that these events rarely make it onto the pages of Haaretz as it would break their story line which paints all the heartache and suffering as solely belonging to the Arabs and seldom the Jews living here. Fortunately in Israel we get other reports in newspapers and online reporting which tells a far different story. The reality for those who care to understand the truth is a very different reality than the happy; everything is just fine just as long as the silence is seldom broken. But the truth, the reality is that there is a reason that whenever an Arab is injured, be it by the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), Israeli Border Police or any of the several local police departments and other security agents, it makes the news in virtually every news source within and outside of Israel and when an Israeli Jew is similarly injured it barely gets any mention often any further than a local report within Israel as a local story, one event is rare and the other happens multiple times every day. The lack of coverage by the major news agencies is the unfortunate fact that Israelis being assaulted only makes the news when a new type of terror attack breaks onto the scene and within a few days, weeks at most, when it becomes just another way that Israelis are attacked, maimed or even murdered, it is no longer news. When the injury is to an Arab, especially if it appears to be unprovoked or is blown up into an international crime of the century by the media manipulators, that is a story because it fits the evil oppressive occupier Israel as the murderer of innocents and it makes headlines around the world. When such attacks are subsequently found to be, as they often are, a case of an attempted terror attack which was unsuccessful and the Arab was injured or killed in the act of attempting a stabbing or was throwing Molotov firebombs or large rocks at motorists, the follow-up story is seldom plastered on headlines as that is not the preferred story, the reality the media desires to paint.

There are reports in the small news outlets, often what would be referred to as the Zionist news sources as if that makes their coverage unimportant as it has a message it wishes to convey as if the rest of the media could never be selling the world a story, a completely opposite story, almost every day of the week where an Israeli motorist was almost murdered except for what often has all the makings of a miracle as their vehicle was attacked, ambushed by a mob of Arabs, often referred to as Palestinians, hurling rocks ranging in size from bricks to bowling ball to cinderblock sizes and even larger which smashed through the Israeli motorists windshield and cause the vehicle massive damage sufficient to prevent it being drivable yet miraculously the vehicle managed to reach safety before completely failing as if collapsing from some horrific ordeal where the vehicle continued just far enough where its unexplainable efforts gave out. Those of us who are familiar with these events do not need pictures as we saw some of the initial coverage when these attacks first became news and realize that almost any recounting will sound incredible and as if exaggerated but often fall short of the actual events as the victim of such attacks often are more amazed and are more aware of their escape as if protected by some outside force gave them and their vehicle a helping hand, the helping hand often seen influencing events and their outcomes. News sources are not interested in the rock ambushes unless there is a gripping instance which makes such an attack noteworthy. Unfortunately that noteworthy news item is all too often a murdered Israeli family member and sometimes all the occupants of vehicles so attacked whose murder tears apart the rest of the family who were often in a vehicle which escaped ambush or were waiting for their family to return from an outing or from a religious observance. It is unfortunate that this is what it takes for such attacks to gain coverage but unless there are such tragedies such attacks happen multiple times every day. Some of these ambush attacks take place daily or weekly triggered by the knowledge that there will be numerous Jewish Israelis who by necessity must run these gauntlets past particular Arab towns. These rock attacks have become a part of living in Israel as a Jew or others who get caught up in such attacks, such non-news stories as the media has come to accept these events as the new normal.

Rock ambushes of Israeli motorists are not the only assaults which have become so common as to be considered not to be newsworthy. Rioting and throwing rocks, fireworks (the way incendiary and smaller explosive devices are referred to by Haaretz and others back when these were news items instead of the new normal) Molotov firebombs, pipe bombs and other devices at the security and police forces assigned to contain the violence on the Temple Mount face whenever the Arabs are dispatched to turn up the heat on Israeli forces often hoping to produce a news story. I know there are those out there right now seeing the Arab desire for generating a news story through an event which the news refuse to cover as these events have become, for the most part, no longer newsworthy. That is true unless one of the Arabs is injured by the anti-riot crowd dispersal devices used when such disturbances become overly threatening and dangerous and must be curtailed. Such devices include tear gas, rubber bullets, flash-bang grenades and other nonlethal methods which on occasion do cause a serious injury to an Arab which is then magnified and inflated into a tragic story of an innocent being set upon by Israeli thuggish police tactics simply used to harass Arabs and even injuring innocent Arabs who had not committed any act which warranted such a response such as what caused their injury. The mainstream media just eat these stories taking them whole swallowing the entire false narrative hook, line and sinker. Now there is something to report, an Arab was injured during rioting, who was rioting is never mentioned as these riots are not newsworthy and thus are a minor part of the story having little if any relevance to the injury of this innocent individual. Their being injured by rubber bullets fired at them as they were in the act of hurling a firebomb at the security forces on the Temple Mount is irrelevant. What is relevant is how this poor, innocent Arab was injured by Israeli police while he was attending religious observances on the grounds of the al-Aqsa Mosque (meaning anywhere within a couple of miles of the Temple Mount). It will never be mentioned that this particular religious observance was the after Friday prayers riot which is scheduled for most weeks for months on end which went unreported as only Israelis were injured even a Shin Bet officer requiring emergency room hospital treatment was unimportant but an Arab youth (any Arab under age thirty or so) was grievously injured (a serious bruise) requiring emergency medical treatment at the scene and follow-up treatment by Palestinian medical services (a Band-Aid at the scene replaced with a full forearm bandaging and arm-sling in case any reporter desires pictures) and will be followed up with a full press report possibly with the Arab youth who was injured who might answer the medias’ questions. If such follow-up press release will have the Arab youth appearing now in a wheelchair and sobbing when asked to retell what happened making this event another production of Pallywood Productions. These scheduled riots are often accompanied by their own media stringers armed with cameras varying from cellphones all the way to production quality video equipment all for the use by the media should any reactions from the assaulted IDF or other Israeli forces such as Border Police react with what can be shown to be using excess force against Arab simply protesting peaceably not acting in any manner that warranted such a response. The rock and firebomb throwing is always omitted from such coverage and the story is of an unprovoked Israeli heavy-handed response. These propaganda films and other use of Israelis having to use force to prevent harm to Israeli farms and the Israelis tending their property are sold complete with story to the media and are often taken without any fact-checking accepting at face value what they are told. The mainstream media, particularly the European media, are fully complaisant and freely act as agents for these fabrications, and all are aware that these reports are almost entirely fabrications fully edited for the required story line, the exact sort of editing which would be performed by the European media. Proof of such fabrications being performed by the European Media has become the now infamous al-Dura hoax as reported upon here and here.

Apart from these vehicle ambushes and the rioting, especially the rioting on the Temple mount which can be turned on and off simply by use of the sermons disseminating instructions on whether to riot or not any particular Friday especially and any day through Imams and other channels, there are other forms of violence which are seldom if ever reported upon. We seldom here outside of Israel, especially in the United States where anything other than the peace process or Arab victimization is relegated to the ash heap of forgotten or old news. There are at least two or three attempts to assault IDF, Border Police and Shin Bet officers and enlisted troops using knives or steel rods weekly. Most of these assaults are interceded and foiled before they are able to actually attack; such events really makes it into the no story to see here area and are almost invariably ignored, while some successfully injure an IDF or Border Police officer before being subdued almost exclusively through non-injurious means utilizing hand to hand combat techniques, another nonstory the media does not report. Knife attacks even on civilians rarely make news outside of Israel as don’t gang attacks of groups of young Arabs will set upon Haredi youths often waiting lying in ambush in the evening on routs often taken from studies to residences as such routes are well known. Even when such attacks include bladed and concussion style weapons resulting in blunt force traumas and bleeding wounds which often require hospital treatment and even overnight care in case of concussions. If these assaults were to be committed in the opposite direction having Haredi youths waiting in ambush to assault the Arab youths, that would be newsworthy as it would be a rare event and it also fits the narrative of the evil and violent Israelis victimizing the innocent Arabs.

The most recent strain of attacks which briefly made news a few months ago when they first appeared and have since dropped from view as they are considered old news as if the injuring of Israelis by running them over with a vehicle is not in and of itself newsworthy and only if the way in which one is injured and its newness quality is what makes such attacks newsworthy is not only a terribly cynical and slanted view on what makes news but also reeks of an anti-Semitic quality of the reporting. Possibly if the Israelis were to hold a rally and have over one million Israelis attend would the story become newsworthy. These attacks using cars and small trucks as extremely large caliber weapons speeding into crowds of Israelis waiting for busses or trains and other places where Jews might congregate have become nearly a daily affair with at least one such assault a day. These are horrific attacks often landing a number of Israelis, including Jews, Muslims, Arabs and Christians as all kinds of Israelis utilize the busses and trains. Often these attacks will target a series of groups on a route where one driver, usually Arab, will attempt to run over the people all along their morning commute choosing the bus stops where more than a dozen people are huddled. Other times these type of attacks strike at night. There is no telling when such an attack might strike at people waiting for transportation by mass transit. Below is a short video of an attack from a couple of nights back caught on a surveillance camera which happens to cover the intersection from a distance. One needs to view the clip carefully as the attack occurs at the right side of the intersection just under the pine tree. The darker vehicle which speeds very fast across the intersection is the vehicle which struck the four sixteen year old boys slightly hurting three and seriously injuring the fourth who remains in hospital as of this writing. As stated, it may take several run-throughs before you catch the teens having been struck, one rolls well into the cross street, we suspect he was the seriously injured young man. Please spread the video as such attacks must be made known to the world just as any undue violence against anybody, Jews, Arab, Hindu, Ukrainian, Russian, French, anyone. Until we as a people, as people on this small little rock learn to share the injuries of every victim of violence and raise our complaint, then who are we, and if not to yell about the violence now, then when. If you feel the pain that these youths felt when struck by a speeding vehicle, then you need to tell others, yell about it from the mountaintops, from YouTube, from every platform we can find, real world or in cyberspace. We need to stand for the innocents caught in senseless violence as we are all just one terror attack from becoming the next person hurt, the next life destroyed, the next person left lying in the street too hurt to even stand and limp off the road where I would be safer, even too weak to plead and shout out to the world, I am in pain from some lunatic who believed my death would empower them. They must not be allowed to claim their victory over my mangled body; they must not be permitted to celebrate their craven act; their terrorist attempt to murder somebody’s special child screams for justice. Shout so they can be heard; share so they will be known; help them not to be just another statistic; just share the video and explain this hatred that struck them with their vehicle; share and prove they can reach out from the hospital where they lie injured and in pain and yet able to reach so many. Perhaps that will be my victory over the senseless violence perpetrated upon us, yes, that will dull our pain, thanks to those who cared and shared.

Back when Saddam Hussein was actually developing nuclear weapons material and was having the perfect nuclear reactor being built by profiteering interests from France and had bunkers constructed by an equally monetarily enterprising German company and believing they had the world fooled as the Europeans were more concerned by their bottom line and the United States was apparently blithely ignorant of the Iraqi game; so the weight of dispatching the central items of what was potentially the Iraqi nuclear weapons development central point, the reactor was relegated to the Israelis acting alone. The Iraqis were not using the technically challenging uranium differentiation system, which in the early 1980s was a rather daunting challenge, and instead was opting for a plutonium producing reactor. This left the Iraqis with what was apparently an unfettered romp to develop nuclear weapons while appearing to remain compliant to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) of which Iraq was a signatory. And so it remained until the morning of June 7, 1981 when the Israelis launched “Operation Opera” to destroy the French built and almost ready to have its nuclear fuel rods installed Osirak Reactor which was capable of producing weapons grade plutonium. The entirety of the Western world opposed any attack on the reactor or accompanying buildings as the Europeans relied on Iraqi oil or had too numerous business dealings and other profitable relations which may have faced difficulties or potential cancellation should Iraq suspect the Western powers in any way supported any such attack. Even within Israel there were the expected and usual detractors against Israeli actions including the then leader of the opposition Labor Party Shimon Peres, Yitzchak Shamir predicting extreme and non-survivable reactions and backlash as well as those in the cabinet who also opposed any attack for various reasons chief of which was the effect it would have on the peace treaty with Egypt. Prime Minister Menachem Begin still pushed the idea for an intervention to destroy the reactor forward in hopes the Cabinet would eventually see there was no other viable choice. There were logistics problems which had to be overcome such as but not limited to removing external fuel tanks on the F-16s in order to equip them with the heavy munitions necessary for the attack, assign F-15s to guard the bombers to, from and during the attack in case of Iraqi countermeasures, as well as training the pilots to fly on the floor to avoid being detected by any Arab radar and choosing a route which would also minimize detection. The final trigger which finally won approval for the attack was the knowledge that the fuel rods had been prepared for shipment from France to Iraq which if installed would have resulted in a radioactive cloud from any assault making the vote a now or never choice. This changed the critical opposition to now support the attack. The original attack date was set but it became necessary to call off the attack and reschedule it for the next month. Fortunately this setback still permitted the attack to be set before the fuel rods were to be installed in the reactor or even be stored in close proximity to the reactor buildings themselves. The Osirak Reactor was destroyed and Israel faced censure at the United Nations with President Ronald Reagan refusing to use the American veto to protect the Israelis as he too felt betrayed by their attack without first having received his approval, something he had all but assured was not forthcoming even had it been sought. The remainder including the Western world’s great reliefs and their acclamations and thanks, even if belated, that they were not facing a nuclear armed Saddam Hussein in either the first or second Gulf Wars.

Looking at Iran one might be tempted to claim that it seems like, if we may be permitted to steal a quotation from Yogi Berra, “It’s like déjà vu all over again.” This time it’s not Iraq but their neighbor, Iran. It is not Saddam Hussein but rather the Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei. This time it is a Shiite ruler not a Sunni ruler though it is once again an adversary of Saudi Arabia. And just like the last time, the Saudis Royals are not about to launch any attack, especially not on their own and highly unlikely they would ally with and accompany the Israelis. The United States is once again against any such attack and threatens to withhold any usual protection at the United Nations Security Council should Israel choose to ignore their opposition and attack anyways. The Europeans are once again all after the rewards of trade agreements they are already salivating over as the United States takes the brunt of any criticisms for the near obvious bad deal of a lifetime as President Obama is willing to take the scorns and suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune if it permits him to construct a new kingdom in the Middle East to replace the old alliances with Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Israel with one where the United States and Iran share the hegemony with Iran the hegemony taking care of the Middle East and the United States free to attend to other concerns. This alliance comes complete with other supporting characters including but not limited to Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and potentially Yemen and whichever other nations the ever slowly devouring appetite of the Ayatollahs set their attentions towards. Additionally, the Russians are playing the role of the Soviet Union in the Middle East and beyond with an unsurprising echo of the Soviet past with the Russian President being Colonel Putin formerly of KGB fame and China will be China taking advantage of any situation the world inadvertently creates, like the need by Iran for an outlet to sell their crude oil. Thus the world is hurling full steam ahead towards a nuclear armed nation which remains the inheritors of the Persian Empire’s proud historic past with all of its attitude of empire which they traded in order to name themselves after the Nazi master race Aryan, or Iran in Farsi, and add to such the trait and heritage of the potentially suicidal belief patterns of Shia Islam and these nations central to permitting this nuclear arming of such a nation all claim Israel has lost it and gone over the deep end when they claim that perhaps a second look might be a good idea.

There have been more than just a few articles which point to the fact that the world is relying on good old Israel to ride over the hill and rescue the world from itself once more. They even point to the fact that there exist a number of Sunni nations including but not limited to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States which would potentially offer their assistance or at least give spiritual support. There is some bad news for the world; it is going to take a whole different level of support if they really expect Israel to suffer the ramifications of and the promised denunciations, trade embargoes, United Nations sanctions, and other barbs and mistreatments in size and scope potentially previously unimagined. Israel has stated that they are quite capable and up to the task of striking and setting the Iranian nuclear program back potentially months or even for over a year or even two years. That is not the question; the question is whether it is worth the severe and unprecedented ramifications that is the main concern for Israel. Israel has to weigh whether it will be beyond her ability to guarantee that Iran has too much to lose by using their nuclear weapons once they develop and build them, whether that be in ten months or the ten years that President Obama promises, making it thus worth the price which would be guaranteed in the retaliatory strikes by Hamas, Hezballah, Syria, IRGC and a guarantee that Iran will use their first nuclear weapon on Tel Aviv no matter what the cost even should it require using it from aboard a ship making a suicide run for the shoreline beaches of Tel Aviv. The consequences of assaulting the Iranian nuclear sites are well known to Israel as well as her neighbors in the Middle East. These are the very same consequences which have intimidated the other nations who, like Israel, will be threatened by a nuclear weapon armed Iran. It is this threat which may well lead to a nuclear weapons arms race throughout the Middle East and North Africa with Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and even the Gulf States leading the way. This too must also be included in the Israeli calculus. The one thing heard repeatedly is that there is no threats which Israel could use to deter the Iranians from carrying out their threat to launch a nuclear attack on Tel Aviv once they have sufficient a store of nuclear weapons to follow up with further strike should Israel retaliate.

That leads us to the question of exactly what threats could Israel utilize to prevent a nuclear attack by the Iranians once they are sufficiently armed. The unfortunate, or potentially advantageously, truth about the threats which would be most effective on Iran is that they would also be very disconcerting and threatening to the rest of the Muslim world. It is obvious that should Iran drop any nuclear weapons anywhere, or everywhere, across Israel that Israel would strike every population center across all of Iran, Syria, Shiite Iraq and Hezballah portions of Lebanon and thus these would not be sufficient deterrence to prevent an Iranian nuclear attack on Israel. But then peer pressure may be exactly what might be required to pressure Iran from striking at Israel. The first targets Israel needs to assure Iran will be targeted beyond her borders should be every holy shrine and city in all of Shia Islam. Going beyond this point would be potentially dangerous for Israel as it would also potentially push what might be uncomfortable allies throughout the Muslim world forcing them to become an ally with Iran against Israel. Still, some concern might be given to such targets as to the two cities which Iran has placed as their most prized desire in all the world and the reason that Iran and Saudi Arabia are so set against one another, Mecca and Medina. These are the most prized cities in all of Islam and before World War I were under the care of the Hashemite Royal Family. That changed with the fall of the Ottoman Empire when the Saudi Royal Family forcibly took control of Mecca and Medina. This was the reason behind the British promise to grant the Hashemite family a kingdom in exchange for their assistance during World War I and thus Jordan today ruled by a Hashemite King. Such a threat though of destroying Mecca and Medina would be a counter attack as a last ditch response after a disastrous attack which had likely destroyed the majority of the Israeli population and economic centers simply by striking central Tel Aviv with any nuclear weapon. With such damage already inflicted on Israel there would be so little left to risk as Israel as a functioning nation would be in serious jeopardy. In a perfect world Israel would not be facing such a predicament but then again in a perfect world President Jimmy Carter would not have given the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini the support in dethroning the Shah and thus the Ayatollahs would not be in power in Iran. But in a really perfect world the United States would not have overthrown the democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh placing the Shāh Mohammad-Rezā Pahlavi into power reestablishing the Iranian Royal family. Perfect worlds can be so confusing and lead to a tangled web that takes some serious untangling. I guess the world would never be a perfect place and then who knows if we would actually really like what a perfect world might give us as result, who knows.

Why the Palestinians Will Never Accept Any Agreement

Whether or not the on-again-off-again peace talks between the Palestinians, representing the entirety of the Arab and Muslim world, and the Israelis, representing the Jews, Arabs, Bedouins, Druze, Christians, Muslims and anybody who holds Israeli citizenship, continue meeting; there can never be an agreement as the Palestinians minimal requirement demands more than the maximum the Israelis are capable of offering. The Palestinians have made their minimal demands clear as long as you are willing to listen to what they say to their own people in Arabic and not insist that they only speak truthfully when they talk in English. The Western mainstream media is complicit in this scheme where only the English statements made by Palestinians, Arabs, Persians (Iranians) or other Muslims are to be reported upon and are to be taken at face value without any serious challenges or research into what the same spokespeople say in Arabic, Farsi, or other non-English native tongue. This willful deafness, or at least selective hearing, is done intentionally as the mainstream press, the politicians, the NGOs, the spokespersons, and whoever else in speaking about Israel and the Muslim and Arab worlds so as to permit them to paint a rosy picture of a future where all live together in peace, tranquility and security. Unfortunately as soon as somebody gets wise to this dishonest charade and seeks out those sources who are willing to do what nobody else would allow, translating the speeches, news reports, editorials, sermons, lesson plans, songs, and media of all varieties into English revealing the other side of what the presumed men of peace from the Palestinian, Arab and Muslim societies are truly telling their own people; then they have uncovered the whole picture and can judge which revelation fits best with their actions instead of just dismissing those actions which did not fit the claims made in English.

When we take the time and exert ourselves and read some of the more troubling items on the Internet translated at Camera, Palestinian Media Watch, MEMRI or any of the others easily found with any search engine, then our eyes are opened to a whole new world that is full of vitriol, hatreds, anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism, anti-Christianity, anti-Buddhist, anti-Hindu and anti-everything not Islamic; sometimes even anti-Islamic against any sect of Islam not matching the speaker’s version of Islam. Included in the hateful remarks which can be found are those Sunni denouncing the heretic Shiites or the Shiite denouncing the impure Sunnis. The pertinent fact one will find when doing this level of research is that the Palestinians have absolutely no expectation or desire to reach any peaceful treaty with the Israelis and claim that if they have a solution imposed on them, even if it should grant them their every demand setting their boundaries as the 1967 Lines including half of Jerusalem including the Temple Mount, the Old City, the Western Wall and Plaza, Mount of Olives including the ancient cemetery, and virtually every ancient Jewish Holy Sites such as Kever Yoseph and Rachel and the Cave of the Patriarchs (the 1949 Armistice Lines which demark the final front lines at the end of the 1948-9 Arab wars to eliminate the nascent State of Israel immediately after her declaration of independence) as their stated in Arabic minimally acceptable solution would be the eradication of Israel and the few Jews who somehow survive the onslaught, they would be made to pay a very high Jizya tax and accept Dhimmitude, second rate citizen status where the Dhimmi is not permitted to use the sidewalks, may not ride on an animal as they must never be higher than the Muslims around them and has little if any legal recourse and may not even be allowed to give testimony in courts. The Palestinian official position states that should an interim settlement come about, they reserve the right to continue to resist the occupation until all of Palestine has been liberated, simply put Israel has been replaced with Palestine and the Jews routed and likely all been killed.

Furthermore, the Palestinians have been repeatedly stating in Arabic, and even have stated this in English as well, that the Obama Administration and United States Secretary of State John Kerry have provided the Palestinians with a letter assuring them that the United States will be the guarantor of having the Israelis meet every single precondition ever made by the Palestinians. If this is a valid claim then the United States has given their word to go far beyond forcing Israel back inside the Green Line, often referred to as the Auschwitz Borders as first coined by Abba Eban, as well as surrendering all of west Jerusalem, removing hundreds of thousands of Jews from their homes and communities, permitting a Palestinian military comparable to that of any other nation, unfettered passage between Gaza and the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), but also the  right of return for as many as five and a half million Palestinians inside of Israel transforming Israel from a Jewish majority state to an Arab Muslim majority state thus bringing Israel as it is currently recognized to an end with unthinkable ramifications immediately after the next elections. Additionally, there have been rumors floating around from all sides in the current round of negotiations, the Israeli, the Palestinian, and even some in the United States State Department, which should the nine months of promised negotiations pass and no agreement reached then the Obama administration is prepared to force a solution upon the two sides. The presumed forced solution unfortunately looks remarkably like the maximum demands made by the Palestinians where they receive the 1967 Lines as their border, they receive all of western Jerusalem including all noted above, and a partial solution to the right of return which does not include the entire five plus million but some percentage which will be deemed fair by President Obama, Secretary of State Kerry, Secretary of Defense Hagel, and possibly Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power along with National Security Advisor Susan Rice; a central group of trusted advisors to President Obama all of whom have some degree of troubling past records when it comes to Israel.

Many will scoff at the idea that there would ever be a forced solution imposed on the parties of the Palestinian-Israeli peace process. There have been some slighted comments made which may indicate that a forced solution is exactly what is waiting at the end of these negotiation should the two sides not reach an agreement. President Obama threatened that Israel may find themselves completely isolated on the world’s stage should they not find some way to appease the Palestinians sufficiently that they break from their refusal of all things Israel reaching an accord which would satisfy President Obama and also the United Nations, Europe and the rest of the Arab and Muslim worlds. Secretary Kerry has also made inferences that no matter what, come the end of the nine months of negotiations there will be a solution one way or another. So, exactly how would a forced solution come into existence? Since the one thing which prevents the United Nations Security Council from forcing a solution on the parties currently is the veto power of the United States who often stand-alone from among the five permanent members. Therefore, all that would be required is for the United States to support a forced agreement for one to come into fruition unless France, Great Britain, Russia or China would suddenly decide to come to the salvation of Israel and utilize their veto to prevent such a strategy. The United States could, most likely with the full backing as cosponsors of Russia, Great Britain and France signing on, present and support a Chapter VII Resolution of the Security Council of the United Nations setting the borders for the newly recognized and admitted full member of the United Nations of the pre-June 1967 Armistice Lines including western Jerusalem as the State of Palestine’s Capital City. What is almost beyond belief is that the one permanent veto wielding nation which might rescue Israel from such a move by the Obama administration would be China. China would likely have some demands made of Israel especially pertaining to Iran but it is entirely possible that China could take the place of the United States as the protector of Israel in the United Nations Security Council. But should the Security Council pass a Chapter VII Resolution recognizing and establishing the borders and offer Mahmoud Abbas full United Nations membership and recognition, the Israelis would be facing the combined military forces of the United States, most of the European nations, Russia, the entire Arab world, most Muslim nations, many African nations, South American nations and Asian nations possibly completely alone with no nation taking her side in what would initially appear to be a desperate and hopeless situation. If I were pressed to name any nations which would side with Israel the list would be very short but would be led off with Canada, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru and Palau. This would not exactly make the most powerful alliance in all of history but it is a start. Sometimes supporters of Israel do wonder if it is possible that the few can be right while the whole world appears to be on the other side. Where I am not entirely sure that stranger things have happened, I feel safe in claiming that if those supporting Israel are on the righteous side of the scale, then it really is amongst the strangest of things in all of history.
