Israel is All of Israel as Defined by San Remo

 

We have discussed this almost ad-nauseum but please allow us to once more try to take a different tack and perhaps wake a few more minds. The San Remo Conference took place during the early 1920s close after the end of World War I. Obviously it took place in San Remo, Italy right on the Mediterranean Sea in a picturesque location and as always really plush hotels. Just once I would like to see an international conference or negotiations take place somewhere such as Tiksi, Siberia, Russia which also has beaches on the Buor-Khaya Gulf of the Laptev Sea, southeast of the delta of the Lena River. The pictures are below and we invite our friends to choose their preference in comments, if you will. We can guess that when a global warming conference to discuss the thawing of the tundra permafrost lands in Siberia and Alaska are held in Marrakech, Morocco that it proves the United Nations knows how to throw a conference as their studying thawing tundra on the arctic is held on the edge of the Sahara Desert proving the United Nations is more interested in going on holidays than solving anything.

Aside from climate change and getting more serious, Israel was given guarantees from the League of Nations and the San Remo Conference where the Mandate System was put in place which was followed by the Treaty of Sèvres which codified the decisions from the San Remo Conference which had based their findings directly quoting the Balfour Declaration as the basis for the British Mandate. This eventually led to the Churchill White Papers where when Transjordan was formed the Zionist Congress was guaranteed that all lands west of the Jordan River and the Jordanian border would remain for the formation of the Jewish State of Israel presumably sacrosanct. The war was initiated by six Arab nations, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and Iraq with additional forces from Muslim Brotherhood, Pakistan, Sudan, Holy War Army, Arab Liberation Army and further support as able from the Arab League against the Israelis, who were not well armed at the onset as the British did everything possible to disarm the Jewish communities. Fortunately the Israelis soon received some arms smuggled and timed to arrive immediately after the British leaving and much assistance from what was then Czechoslovakia as well as planes and other left over World War II armored vehicles and rifles from France, yes, France. Russia also kicked in some armament and the Israelis managed to secretly hide a few British Spitfire fighters which somehow went unaccounted for as the British left. Still, Israel was outnumbered close to 2:1 at the outbreak and by the time peace was established Israel, where every man, woman and boys above fifteen were placed on the front lines while the rest of the population did whatever they were able including reloading cartridges to make additional bullets, making simple machineguns, armoring cars and adding small bore cannons or high caliber heavy machineguns, making hand grenades and mines as well as anything even to cooking and taking food and water to the soldiers who were fighting, that was the Israeli side. At the end of over a year of fighting the Israelis were gaining ground as the final ceasefires were being imposed which had they been refused for another few weeks by the Israelis they might have pushed the Arab forces out of all Israeli territories which were promised by the British and there would have been no talk of occupied West Bank which is a bald faced lie.

 

So, where does the idea of an occupied Gaza and West Bank originate? The United Nations inherited the British Mandate and French Mandate Systems after it was formed to replace the League of Nations which had proven incapable of preventing World War II. The United Nations has claimed to have prevented any war of sufficient size to be considered as World War III, to be exact. The reality is that nuclear weapons likely did more to prevent a World War III more than the United Nations which has problems with keeping promises or showing any amount of integrity or ability to enforce human rights and all too often their peacekeepers have been more of a problem to the women and children where they are stationed than those they are there to prevent from any malfeasance. Some things are too shocking to even list as nobody would believe us so instead we linked the disgusting behavior of European peacekeepers in Central African Republic which we could only shake our heads and feel saddened by these abuses. So, with such as a rule more than the exception in items concerning the United Nations and their propensity even from the start to bend and bow to Arab and Islamic demands, we really should not have been surprised when after the British set up an Arab Palestinian residents named Transjordan which was renamed simply Jordan in 1950 where the population was enforced such that no Jews were permitted residence as Jordan was determined to be a predominantly Arab population ruled by the Hashemite King that the United Nations then insisted on making the remaining land split evenly between its Jewish and non-Jewish Arab residents. The Arabs were offered much of the prime irrigated lands while the predominant of the land the Jews were to receive was all of the Negev Desert. The Arab League refused the United Nations suggestion instead resorting to their plan to annihilate the Jewish State and every Jew they could find. All of this was the result of the General Assembly meeting and drawing a non-binding Resolution, which remain valid only if accepted by all the parties; so the Arab League refusal invalidated the resolution allowing the situation to revert to the preexisting condition which was that the Jewish State would be formed as promised by Winston Churchill and the British had guaranteed originally when Transjordan (Jordan) was founded.

So, at midnight and one second Israel was born (though the Jews day started at sundown so they had celebrated their founding the evening of May 14, 1948; Iyyar 5, 5708) with the borders of the Jordan River and Jordan to the east, the border with Egypt separating the Sinai Peninsula and the Negev Desert to the south, the Lebanon border to the north and the Golan Heights for their border with Syria and the Mediterranean Sea. All the land borders had massed armies and the Jews knew that dawn would bring an invasion which they may be unable to repulse. That started the war too many Israelis refer to as their War of Independence and we recognize their viewpoint and using this name as it was a war to remain an actual viable nation but we call that war the Arab War of Genocidal Expectations. The Israelis claim they won their War of Independence while we hold that they survived the deadly threat which placed every last Israeli in perilous danger under threat of a genocidal slaughter promised by vastly superior forces. We look at this war more pragmatically and realize that the State of Israel as settled by the separate armistices between Israel and her Arab neighbors which were the Blue Line with Lebanon which was the same or very close to the original borders, the Golan Heights with Syria which was also close to the original with the difference being the armistice line was at the bottom of the heights instead of at the apex, and along the Sinai Negev border with the exception of Egypt occupying the Gaza Strip and the border with Jordan now left half of Jerusalem and what has ever since been named the West Bank (originally the lands were Judea, Samaria, Benjamin with Jerusalem having previously been entirely Israeli and their eternal Capital City) and occupied by Jordan. This is what is important about the wars of 1948-9; the Jewish State of Israel lost land to invading offensive armies namely having half of the Golan Heights occupied by Syria, all of Judea, Samaria and Benjamin (West Bank) occupied by Jordan. Jordan went a step further and declared they annexed the West Bank and provided every Arab living there citizenship and forcibly removed every Jew stealing their property and anything they were unable to take with them as they were forced to leave with great urgency. Only Pakistan and Great Britain recognized Jordan annexing the lands they were occupying but the United Nations and the world mostly remained silent not challenging the Jordanian, Egyptian and Syrian occupations. During this occupation by the Arab states there was absolutely no talk of founding a new Arab state using the West Bank and Gaza. The world remained silent about the occupied Israeli lands and simply adjusted to the new armistice lines.

 

When the 1967 Six Day War struck as Gamal Abdel Nasser massed troops from Syria and Egypt on Israeli borders, while for weeks on end broadcasting propaganda that the superior Arab armies would drive the Jews into the Sea, that war was inevitable. After the fighting had started, the Egyptians and Syrian broadcast propaganda telling of their great gains and how both were closing on Tel Aviv and hearing this, King Hussein of Jordan declared his intent to join in the massacre and allow his people to enjoy the spoils. Israel did all they could to convince the Jordanian King that the broadcasts by the other Arab leaders were lies for their own peoples’ consumption. Israel was routing both armies but the Jordanian King believed Israel was bluffing and was actually losing and he needed to rush if he was to be in on the end of the Jewish State. Jordan troops poured into Western Jerusalem and started towards Tel Aviv and the Israelis redirected some troops which were heading for the Sinai to back troops against Egypt. Within a few hours of the redirected troops they reported having taken the Temple Mount where the troops stopped and prayed with some putting on Tefillin and prayer shawls (Tallit). Their joy almost prevented their continuing their mission but by the time the fighting was halted, Israel held the Golan Heights from Syrian occupation, the Sinai Peninsula and had liberated the Gaza Strip from Egyptian occupation along with liberating Judea, Samaria and Benjamin (West Bank). The peace Israel made with Egypt, Israel returned the entire Sinai Peninsula while Egypt surrendered the Gaza back to Israel returning all occupied areas to their rightful owners on the Israeli southern front. Soon after there was a peace reached with Jordan who returned Judea, Samaria and Benjamin (West Bank) to Israel, its rightful owner. One would think that would be the end of things, especially with nobody able to claim lands which correctly belong to Israel.

 

No, such thinking would be incorrect. Here is where we start to make some people angry on both sides. First and foremost Israel must develop and build their own fifth generation fighter and cancel their orders for the F-35 JSF from the United States. This should most definitely be a priority. Israel must necessarily produce the entirety of the Military Equipment from the smallest truck to the most advanced tanks and aircraft including requiring their component parts, ammunition and other munitions and lastly they must also make bombs. These newest of aircraft require communication with their production company in order for parameters, potential repairs, stress levels and other reading the aircraft makes on itself and various items needed to schedule maintenance properly. The problem is that the aircraft must file a flight plan with the United States who must then approve any flight. Israel has the capacity, the means and the people to manufacture a top of the line aircraft and anything else. The weapons industry is a very lucrative business and Israel needs to be self-sufficient with all items concerning the safety of the nation and its people. Further, the aid money that Israel has received from the United States is earmarked with some heavy duty ropes attached demanding that Israel spend 75% of the cash buying weapons from the United States. Israel could survive without the money which has become an addictive drug which only weakens the victim. As long as you are on the dole from the United States they get to sell you defense weapons systems and you have no control over the future which the past going on eight years has proven may not be so wonderful if Israel is relying on the United States for their defensive weapons. Once a nation enters such a deal they reach a point where all their military equipment comes from the United States and one wrong person ascending to the Presidency and that nation just may awaken one morning being gotten up even earlier than usual to be informed that the United States has deactivated all your weapons systems and the nation is completely vulnerable. Now that would be an Excedrin moment.

 

The other main problem with Israel being dependent on the United States for weapons and arms, especially the entire inventory of the Air Force, is that the United States has too much power and a certain threat which could devastate Israel militarily just by simply refusing to allow Israel parts to repair their aircraft. Israel is in a sensitive place and really needs a radical solution to her dilemma. Such a solution will not be accepted by the United Nations, the European Union and likely the United States and why not throw in Russia and China for good measure. The solution we are referring to is simply claiming the remainder of Samaria, Benjamin and Judea taking all the land which would return Israel to the early morning May 15, 1949, the morning in which seven Arab armies moved against Israel and stole lands. Now would be as great a time as any to reclaim all of the lands promised and remove the terrorist entity, leadership and actual terror threats and be done with it. Those who desire to remain as part of Israel and are willing to sign and pledge to make a loyalty oath which will state that any felony or terror related conviction will result in the criminal being forcibly exiled from Israel may remain and integrate into Israeli society and take a path to full citizenship. Those Arabs who choose to leave Israel will receive a cash payout for their property and a resettlement bonus. The terror masters will receive our fondest wishes as we wave good-riddance! Israel would necessarily need to control their schools and thus their curriculum if there would be any possibility of retrieving the minds of many of the younger students and even potentially making productive members of the society as many of the students have thus far been fed a steady diet of hate for Israelis and particularly Jews. As long as Israel remains dependent on the United States she will be unable to take the steps required for a safe and prosperous future for her citizens including a number of Arab Muslims.

Can the World be Defused?

 

Once a while ago there were three leaders who defused the terrors and monsters of their day. There work took a while longer and they may never get the credit they deserve. They were the magic combination which comes around only when things seem darkest. In a much earlier time the combination of leaders need not all be present on the world’s fields of battle at the same time, but the world moves at a different pace these days. The old team which between them staved off Europe falling, thus eventually led to our modern age as we have known it, consisted of one hero in the west of Europe, The Battle of Tours pitting Charles the Hammer Martel defeating the Umayyad Caliphate led by ‘Abdul Rahman Al Ghafiqi, which halted the Islamic threat from advancing further eastward and eventually led to the forced retreat of Islam from the Iberian Peninsula under the reign of terror known as the Spanish Inquisition established in 1478 by Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile, a retrograde purge for which Spain would never quite recover as that evil, or is as some might claim the purification, left Spain without a curious mind in all the realm as the Inquisition allowed not such stray thoughts other than those found in the ‘Good Book’. A few hundred years later the Ottoman Turks were prevented from further adventures in Europe being turned back at the Battle of Vienna by a somewhat unusual hero, King John III Sobieski of Poland who struck a deal whereby his lands would be left untouched by the greedy hands of the other barons and monarchs while he and his entire army would cross to the southern end of Europe and free Vienna breaking the Ottoman siege. This would stall and lead to the end of Ottoman expansion into Europe.

 

Between these two battles was a smaller battle that gained a larger than life share of attention from historians but was still none-the-less of great importance by what it avoided. The battle of which so much is made was the almost war that King Philip II of Spain decided to bring to a conclusive end and forever rid England of its Church, which followed not the Pope in Rome, restoring the rightful ruler of Christendom, Pope Clement VIII. The Armada was assembled and sailed on its historic mission which failed as it was made up of large and cumbersome ships of the old technology which favored the retrograde habits left over from the Inquisition and the purification of thought within the rule of Rome where science would become as close to defined as sin and as a threat to the sanctified rule of a Pope. The defeat of the Spanish Armada allowed the Church of England to prevail and their more open attitudes and the advantage of a strong political royalty which ruled alongside the Church of England but separate when decision of State were decided and the rule of law endured while the Church of England was to content itself with matters of faith. This partial separation between Church and the State had its periods of difficulty but it also permitted great strides in science which eventually spread through Europe beyond where the Pope had extended the Church’s strangling long reach from Rome. Eventually Rome too saw the light of the reformation and the separation between religion and government became the supreme and crowning achievement which was a long time coming with the many fits, starts and backtracks that make history fascinating. The ancient Israelites (or Hebrews) had achieved a form of separation between religious influences and the rule of a king as the limitations of each were delineated in Torah leaving certain powers to the King, others to the Clergy and the freedom to override either, though solely through admonition and persuasion, went the Prophets during their era. The one unfortunate result of the separation of Church from the matters of the ruling elites was that Europe no longer had a single overseeing power structure that the Pope provided when all prayed in the manner instructed out of Rome. This would eventually lead to many wars between the many states in Europe culminating in World War II. With these conflicts came technology which placed Europe as the crowning achievement of its time.

 

The modern realms had a tripartite power structure which managed to work towards their shared goals in what resulted in a mutually supportive series of actions despite there being no treaty or visible connection where these three strong leaders actually were collaborating, instead each added to the strength and power of the others with minimal appearance of collaboration. The three leaders were the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher, who presided in that office from May 4, 1979 through November 28, 1990, while Queen Elizabeth II was the supportive monarch; Pope Saint John Paul II whose Papacy began on October 16, 1978 and ended April 2, 2005 and was a strong advocate for the rule of the people and their rights to a government deserving of the people and not the reverse and strongly held to the traditional beliefs working tirelessly largely behind the scenes while making appearances often with intent to back freedom and human rights for all people; and lastly United States President Ronald Reagan whose Presidency began on January 20, 1981 lasting until January 20, 1989 and the challenging force behind the scuttling of, as he coined it, the Evil Empire which was the Soviet Union which he did as much as anyone in facilitating the sudden downfall of the Soviet system and its iron curtain fell in under one week from the inception of the collapse of Communism in Europe. These three people had as much influence in their short decade where all three stood at the pinnacle of the power that swept in a new life and vitality born of freedom and challenging the greatest tyranny which stood in opposition to all these three defenders of the people, their individual rights and their right to choose their own governance and take control of their national ship and steer it through the ballot box and supportive of human dignity and the sanctity of life.

 

The world is once again spiraling into the void that lies beyond the cusp where freedoms are forever lost and tyranny and darkness extinguish the light of hope and the dignity of the spirit. Once again a retrograde influence is oozing from every corner advancing across the plains devouring everything in its path. The seriousness of this threat can be measured in the resisting flames in the eyes of those readying to fight a battle they know they cannot win but fight it they will in the hopes that somewhere a leader will have the courage to step forth and hold the line from crossing beyond the cusp and darkness once again gripping the heart of Europe. This threat comes from every front and ignores all borders and had many masters of which not a one honors freedom, individuality and the rights of the people to choose their own destinies and those who will lead them into the light and not towards the darkness. Currently the forces of freedom sleep as their ruling head of state has little stomach for such as the struggles barking from the far frontiers. This man who leads by following knows only that the previous leadership suffered from flaws that came from striving and this leader swears not to make such mistakes and instead retreats before taking stands and charging forth as doing so may reveal his flaws as it did his predecessors, but he realizes not that timidity and failure of vision are his flaws though his slow shrinking before every challenge is his plan to avoid mistakes. This comes when Europe also means to do well by refraining from the competition and instead seeks to facilitate and placate their way to oblivion that also lie beyond the cusp where greatness fails the timid and the freedoms hard won become easily surrendered and lost as they tip beyond the cusp and fall into the night of oblivion. There are the few who have clear sight and identify the threats but can the world rely on the strength of those who previously held roles of a supportive nature and have not been leaders of the free world as is now asked of them. The leaders in some instance are up to the challenge while in other leaders we see the rage of mediocrity hoping only to hold the line as best as possible waiting for one of the historic leaders to step forward and take the helm once more. What must the few who can lead do when the majority in the world are too tired, fat and lazy to put their shoulders to the wheel and strive to remain free, to stop the mad plunge and assure that their people are not forced beyond the cusp as from there the return will take generations and may never recover as some points, once crossed, may well mean there will be no return for this will be the final fight, the final battle between freedom and all that does empower the greatness in the human effort and spreads the light of freedom giving every last soul the power of flight so as to soar to new heights and new greatness ever pressing forward the boundaries of the mind through new equations which describe the actual functions of the universe and to eventually voyage into the far unknown and visit those points of light seen in the night’s sake for as sure as there is light there is hope for the future or the death of the individual spirit and the complete surrender to darkness forever extinguishing those final glowing embers of hope and heart as we fall beyond the cusp.

 

I have been asked by some close friends why I spend anywhere from three hours to all too often more than the eight hours demanded by a regular employ to continue to write to my slowly growing field of readers. Truthfully, I write in the hopes that somewhere an individual will find something that elevates them such that it awakens within them that spark of imaginations, the boldness to fight mediocrity, the hope that the future will continue to be filled with light and just one person at a time engage more to fight against the ever increasing flow dragging mankind towards a darkness that knows it has little time before the ingenious minds make that singular breakthrough which cements the condition of mankind at the cusp of a great adventure as we spread our wings and fly out into the cosmos and forever have insured that never shall all humankind be swallowed by the darkness beyond the cusp, beyond the whirlpool that swallows all imagination, enslaves every mind, demands total and permanent surrender, insisting on complete compliance never once to again dare. The war to remain in a place where there are a plethora of alternative paths and nobody is forced into the restriction of thought or held to a permanence of class must not be lost but there is this trepidation that the youth are not made aware of the coming threats nor are they largely taught to think independently and are made to believe that there are molds into which every person must choose their mold never to expand or reach beyond the restrictions of their mind. I write to express the truth that no two people are completely alike and thus there are no molds, only self-imposed prisons of the mind and the extinguishing of every flaming spirits as the mold makers impose a correctness of thought and attempt to ridicule and intimidate any who refuse to fold before their stifling approved dictionary for acceptable terms and their definitions. Look up the word ‘discriminate’ and unless you have an unapproved and ‘outdated’ dictionary you will not find it defined as a positive trait through which one sets standards for excellence in all things and thus chooses to expand and investigate things beyond their strict education. Trust that the elite are given the lesson that discriminate is not solely an evil where people are categorized by physical, racial, religious or national traits and all else is ignored. Discriminate also means to choose wisely, something the programmers of the public school system in too many nations is not a part of their indoctrination. Resist the limitations and open your eyes and if you suspect that the teacher is not teaching you how to think but instead what to think, start your own rebellion, a rebellion of one at first as you will need to first arm yourself and then set out to change the world. Presuming you are an adequately proficient reader this list should not take more than a few summer’s free time. With these and a few other items of personal interest, yours, not mine, you may be ready to set out but remember one other item, failure is what redirects efforts towards accomplishments and may even tach us some lessons along the way. There often is more to learn when we fail than when we finally persevere and reach the necessary and inevitable conclusion after exhausting every conceivable failure along the way, or so it may seem.

 

Rebel by reading books, yes they still exist, and writings not on the approved list. Read books such as Atlas Shrugged or other Ayn Rand writings, Animal Farm and 1984 by George Orwell who was a socialist programmed by his education but who became disenchanted as he experienced life and later in his life wrote of the evils of socialism as he had witnessed it applied in his day, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and Unintended Consequences by John Ross. Read books about history especially by those who lived in the times they wrote about starting with The Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain with special attention to his travels in what is today Israel and his commentaries on Jerusalem and Bethlehem as well as his travels through the deserted lands and remember that his writings came from a period immediately before Zionists began arriving in greater numbers. Read the Bible, both New and Old Testaments, the Quran, and the life of Confucius and Buddha for some insights into the differing religions and investigate ancient Egypt, Greece, Persia, Rome, Babylon, the Phoenicians, Hittites, Mongols, and acquaint yourself with Oriental religious and societal structures and their philosophies. Read some books on war and strategy as they are useful in life and interactions in the world even in peace times such as the writings of Sun Tzu, Carl von Clausewitz and The Prince by Niccolò Machiavelli. Learn to play both checkers and chess. Learn logic both as taught in math and electronics as well as philosophy, this will arm you in debates. Arm oneself with knowledge and one will be prepared for anything life sends your way.

 

I also write for my own catharsis as it soothes the mind when one is forced to organize their thoughts so as to put them down as coherent writings, and if my writings have appeared to not be as clear as hoped and lacking in total coherence, then imagine the jumbled mess in my head and what that must be like, and then imagine living with such a racket of fighting ideas but not ideals as without ideals we wander undefined through a dark forest of frightening thoughts forever to remain lost. The world seems that way at this moment and it will take a few miracles to set things back to right, but fortunately the world is full of miracles if one only knows not only where to look but how to look and discern the hidden miracles behind so much that happened every day. Smell the roses and drink some strong coffee and find some simple pursuits in life and make then your anchor by which to have a place or item you define as normalcy. Mine is real, good and strong coffee brewed from just ground whole beans blended often with little care and allowing the mixture to give me a little bit of surprise in life. A little sweet chocolate seems to make it so much tastier and gives it a round robustness that is next to addictive. But everybody deserves one addictive vice they refuse to surrender before the demands for normalcy. Ah, normalcy, how boring a thing can be.

Signs in the Streets and on the News

 

Where the obvious signs that make the news come from within Europe, the signs in the streets are visible throughout the world. Probably the most obvious of signs is right there in many Jews’ mailboxes inside a blank and nondescript envelope. Perhaps that since January 15, 2015 the French Army’s “Opération Sentinelle” has protected seven-hundred-twenty-two (722) Jewish schools and synagogues in France might give one pause. The army has reported three-hundred-seventy-two (371) incidents perpetrated against the soldiers standing guard in front of the protected sites. What would have happened to the Jews without the soldiers standing in front of their temples and schools? In addition, in Sweden a radio asked the Israeli Ambassador if Jews are not the cause of anti-Semitism. The magazine used to come in the mail unconcealed with Jewish features displayed vibrantly and proudly on its covers as if to say we are proud Jews who are vital members in our communities. Now it sneaks through the system and into our homes surreptitiously hiding that bright, loud, and proud cover declaring here lives a Jew stuffed within a blank envelope declaring, nothing to see here, move along. Next thing you know Jews will be moving their mezuzahs from the outsides of the front door to inside the front door. We will tell ourselves it is just to be closer to this sign that declared our Jewishness but we will know it is done to avoid it being vandalized or to conceal any identifier that says here lives a Jew. It will be in the little things and a few big things such as wearing a smaller Yarmulke or getting one of those new Yarmulkes which are designed to look like hair made to match your hair color and be almost completely invisible. You tell yourself that it does the same thing as your old Yarmulke because you know it is there dismissing the fact that it used to declare here goes a Jew proud of his heritage who walks unafraid within our communities, but we are no longer unafraid, are we. Then there are the signs that only the initial Jews see and are shocked. The vandalized cemetery, the graffiti on the Synagogue’s walls and main entrance, the anti-Semitic graffiti on the park benches and the bus stop walls which are hurriedly covered over so as not to alarm others, especially those Jewish others as there are more than enough worries these days though to talk of it is forbidden. When we do address these distressing truth we use hushed tones because we fear spreading our trepidations throughout our communities, but it really is still all-pervasive. It is so serious and severe a threat that even the Rabbi speaks about these threats playing them down while stressing how we belong and the government is addressing our safety so there is nothing to fear.

 

The government will see to our safety, spoken like a true progressive liberal leftist. That alone is a sign of the root problem, our total reliance on the government to fix all problems. We need just inform them and they will dispatch the necessary increased security around our synagogues, schools, yeshivas, libraries and kosher stores and our Jewish magazine is coming wrapped in a shroud and we start to sneak when outside the friendly confines of our well-knitted society and virtually or actually gated houses, a sort of voluntary ghetto with gilded gold caged secured entrances and high fence exteriors guarded by mobile patrols; we are most definitely safe, sane and secure. Do we not realize what is there plainly for us to see? We have already placed ourselves in a ghetto even if the cells cost half a million Euros, Dollars, Pounds or other coinage, the government will not even need to round us up. How long before those guard patrols will no longer be guarding us from the outside world but instead it will become them guarding the outside world from us. I know, it could be worse, but is not this the worse we warned about last year and haven’t the signs started coming at us faster and faster? How will we know that it has gone too far and it is too late, how much hatred is too much and changed into a threat from all the society? We need remember that it does not take a majority, just a society threatened and refusing to protect us as the costs have become too great. Is the sign when we are told we need pay an extra tax to cover our protection as the government can no longer afford to guard us unless we pay an extra tax to defray the costs. That is called the Jiyza in Islam and immediately separates us from the mainstream society and a sign that we accept our Dhimmitude and will curtail our behavior and from now on show our deference for our bettors of the society. Will this be the sign that the government has gone over to the other side? Is this a sign of too little to make us leave or that we should have fled months if not years ago.

 

This is our home; our family has lived here for three generations; my work or business is here; I am too old to start my life over; there are a million excuses and only one single argument on the other side, an argument which should beckon us and inspire in us in the same way as the Shofar calls on the high holidays, that is Eretz Yisroel, that is Yerushalayim, it is the call that says that it is time to return home no matter what holds us in place. In Israel we are the government, we are the military, our sign is emblazoned on the national flag and our symbols are everywhere. Is Israel perfect, no, but we are working to make it so. There will be those in Europe tempted to head to the United States which will gain them a few decades before the United States has reached the same level as in Europe, just far more subtle and disguised. The United States has just recently reached the point where crimes against Jews are almost always not considered hate crimes or crimes committed against us because we are Jews, we are simply victims and our Jewishness has nothing to do with it. Europe has passed that point and reached the point where there are those who are claiming that we Jews are the cause of the violence against us. Has there been any progress on the assassination of a Rabbi walking to Synagogue one Saturday Shabbat morning visiting Florida from New Jersey who was gunned down in broad daylight. Have they reclassified that assassination from a robbery gone wrong to the hateful murder it actually was? Of course they haven’t and the investigation, if you were to inquire, has come up against some difficulties but it is still an open investigation and that it will remain until all have stopped inquiring, then it becomes a dead file and gets filed with all the rest of the unsolvable cases. Perhaps that is one of the signs that the time has come?

 

If we still have any doubts, may it be pointed out that the anti-Israel and anti-Zionist rioting and rampaging on our college campuses have becoming anti-Semitic and target the Jewish students regardless their political alignment. Is that an imminent sign that the time has come to return home where you will be accepted for your Jewishness. It is time to return home and you will find something else in Israel awaiting your arrival, the societal ever-so-slow movement towards embracing our faith. I cannot begin to relay how warming returning home has been for me and for my wife as well. Are there any problems or difficulties, of course there are but they are largely due to language difficulties which we expected, but the willingness of the people, our fellow Jews to understand and make us feel welcomed and as if we have support while we make the transition. At our age, which for many people is anything over twenty, learning a completely new language, which we knew the words when singing in synagogue, is a monumental task which often, in our case constantly, seemingly impossible but with the mostly joyous assistance and patience of our new-found friends and neighbors we will get there eventually. To all our people in the Diaspora, time is a-wasting, so what will it take to bring you home? We in Israel fear you may wait until travel is restricted and it is too late to leave. You are making all the same excuses which were prevalent and chanted by the Jewish communities of the Weimar Republic, and that end result was really great for those comfortable, assimilated Jews. They did not request for you to prove what you were; they simply checked your grandparents were and assigned your religion from that. Then they came for the Jews in the middle of the night and later even the light of the sun could not prevent their taking the Jews, the society accepted this. There were French towns which readied their Jews in advance of the horrific depravity to reach their town resplendent in their dress uniforms, the French beat their advance and prepared their Jews without being forced to, they volunteered us. When the curtain opens and the real fearful society is given a choice on which community they must place on stage to be slaughtered, you know who will be offered in sacrifice, it will be as it has always been, us offered as a sacrifice to their new overlords. Then it is way too late. Do not remain because of your comfort for that is a very fragile item which can be extinguished with the slightest breeze of a waving hand over a paper making it so, and that moment approaches and will sweep across the globe. I realize how that will become a threat to Israel. I also know that standing together with the L0rd our G0d that we will prevail over any enemy, no matter how strong they may be, especially if we have faith and love for each other. So, what are you waiting for, an engraved gold-leaf invitation?
