The Potentially Unavoidable Apocalypse

There is a coming apocalyptic war which will spill throughout Europe into the Middle East and may result at some point to one side using nuclear weapons should that option become available and there is no reason to believe it would not as making a nuclear weapon in modern times is just a few steps higher than making a weapon with normal high explosives. Thermonuclear weapons might require a small cadre of dedicated physicists but a nuclear device such as the ones used against Japan are within the ability of many intelligent high school graduates as their construction is available on the internet for any enterprising individual to research. The difficulty, if there is one, is gathering the fissile materials; from there it is a simple matter of machining and choosing your designs. This is a horrible truth to place over the heads of millions of innocents who will pay dearly when the coming war enters its main and determinative battle phase. Imagine the war in Syria and spread it over the better part of three continents and potentially throughout the entirety of the globe with few exceptions. Add in a final set of battles using nuclear weapons, initially the fifteen to twenty-five kilotons and soon after breaking into megatons and thermonuclear weapons such as the type held by major nuclear powers and available to any nations willing to put the necessary effort into their production and there easily could be some non-State factions such as the Muslim Brotherhood or neo-Nazi supremacists who have sufficient resources, talent and safe areas of operations that they also could produce such weapons once they gain access to the necessary materials. Before such a calamity reaches the doorsteps of our lives we need to ask where this war could begin.

The sparking point could be simply anywhere in Europe and it will not begin with any nation as much as a civil war started by the populations themselves. The triggering point would be a massive multi-city coordinated terrorist event where the people in the stricken localities start a war with the claimed intent of vindicating those murdered in the terror attack. Such an event could start the spiral into a more general war with many people caught in the crossfire similarly to what happened in Syria except this would have spread across Europe city by city until it involved national armies breaking from their officers and stepping in to assist the people, or at least that was their intention. Once tanks start to roll on the streets the civil unrest would enter a completely different phase which would snowball until it became another war starting in Europe but this will range far outside of Europe. Many of the terror enterprises are loosely interwoven and could respond to the escalation taking over the military hardware and troops of sympathetic or easily toppled rulers in order to gain the use of military weapons. This could soon spread in such a manner as to include many European state actors pulled into a conflict which would be quickly getting completely beyond the control of normal safeguards as both societies begin to call for the saving of their way of life, their freedoms and the customs and other particulars they hold dear and are comfortably familiar with. Once it becomes nation against nation it will then call upon like-minded or treaty bound allies into the fray and from there it does not stop easily. People discount such events leading to such a conflagration but as they have not studied history they are not aware on what simple actions have dragged humanity into costly and often destabilizing conflicts. Take the second most costly war in history, World War I. This war began with the assassination of a royal family head, the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand of Austria in Sarajevo by Achille Beltrame as the Archduke and his wife were shot while riding in their car after taking a wrong turn. The real attempt to assassinate Archduke Francis Ferdinand had been set along his scheduled route but a sympathizer saw him passing his location and took advantage of the opportunity believing he was serving his oppressed people and never expecting the horrors of World War I to come as a result of a few bullets into one world leader and his wife. The people called for revenge and soon thereafter it got beyond any local conflict and the entire globe even to include Japan were honoring treaties or simply choosing one side or the other. World War I was more about honoring treaties than revenge for an assassination and that is what is frightening about the world today.

Mutual defense treaties which require entire groups of nations to jump into a conflict once a member demands assistance exist and NATO is simply one such treaty. NATO, as an example, could be called to assist any member state who has become embroiled in a conflict which they feel they might require greater assistance. NATO had an interesting set of members of which Turkey is one of the longstanding members due to their strategic control of the Bosphorus Straights which control access from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea and from there the Atlantic Ocean and the world. These narrow waterways were essential for Russia to deploy her ships and thus the NATO powers bribed and forced Turkey into NATO in case there became a time when the West would desire to blockade the Russian Black Sea fleet from gaining access to the Mediterranean Sea. It really is that simple and Turkey just sent tanks into Syria. The picture of how an intervention can be conducted under the idea, which is obvious when one looks at the bombings in Turkey, which violent attacks originate from the terror groups within Syria who are adversarial to Turkey and their government and President Erdogan in particular. What would be the ramifications should Turkey’s President Erdogan be assassinated or an attempt was made on his life but failed only grievously wounding him but leaving him to survive. By the time he came out of surgery which saved his life the war could have already been started and Turkish jets bombing targets in Syria, specifically the western holdout areas of the Alawites and Syrian dictator Bashir al-Assad. It is also the base for the Russian fleet in Latakia, Syria. We may remember the near tipping point reached when a single Russian fighter jet was shot from the skies over Turkey, or at least seemingly over Turkey as it was attacking within Syria and these fast aircraft have large turning radii. Now imagine an airstrike which missed the Syria barracks in Latakia and instead struck the Russian docs sinking two Russian warships and killing fifty or a hundred Russian sailors. How long before Putin declares war on Turkey who then calls in their NATO marker and instant World War as Russia too has such agreements with the likes of China, Iran, some Arab League nations and other eastern Asian nations. The Arab League would necessarily side with Russia believing that Turkey would be incapable of standing against such forces and not figuring on Europe and the United States and Anglosphere nations backing Turkey. Doubtful such will happen, but there was a presumed coup in Turkey recently and that could have turned out much different if it had been a serious coup threatening the governance.

One item that bears keeping in mind, wars seldom start where or how we expect them to. They start with a relatively insignificant shot from one rifle or crossbow or a sword placed within some leader of a following religiously, politically, or even a cause. The Arab Spring, or Arab Winter as we had predicted, began with one vegetable hawker committing suicide in protest of unfair taxes and laws and self-immolating and Tunisia exploded followed by Egypt and down the row of dominoes giving us Syria and also Libya thanks to some overactive interventions from far away in Washington D.C. and someone leading from behind and an overanxious Secretary of State seeking another feather for a Presidential run seeing and grasping what appeared to be a golden opportunity for nation building. Somewhere in these plans things unraveled and we have a dysfunctional Libya with warring tribes and terrorist entities. It, like Syria, is an open hotbed and perfect location for a terrorist group such as the Islamic State to manufacture the bombs of their choosing. One has to figure that at some point the Islamic State has come into weapons such as nerve gas or even radiological materials of weapons grade uranium. One can only guess what their true capabilities might include. Once a nuclear device has been manufactured, it would easily be deliverable to anywhere in Europe including Great Britain. It could be built and concealed inside a cement truck and hidden under a load of dried cement resulting from a traffic holdup which allowed the load to set in the truck. Who would chip away at half a ton or more of cement to inspect the vehicle and once inside Turkey it could easily transverse the entirety of Europe taking it to any European capital city or large metropolitan area for a nuclear terror attack. What comes after such an attack? Yep, there is no telling but it would not be good, that much we can count upon.

Riots can spread and become to have a life of their own and who knows where such could lead. Terrorism can spark unrest which could easily get out of hand. Ultra-nationalist right wing parties are gaining strength throughout Europe and these parties preach an active approach to what they term is an invasion, and who knows for sure, they could be right. Can anyone tell me the results of passing a law to expunge a nation of all non-citizens referring to them as a risk and a threat which the country no longer believes they can allow? Should one incident get out of control with some troops opening fire on unarmed civilians which they are gathering for deportation under the auspices of the new citizens’ only laws, what would come next? Once one nation cleans their population of all foreign noncitizens and shipped them over the border to the next location? Where would this lead once the majority of a continent has cleansed themselves of everyone who is not just like their pure racial idea of their country and there are a few million dispossessed people, what happens to what is now an enraged army of people? Currently the Middle East and Northern Africa are roiling points and Europe is not that far from exploding into riots and other uncontrolled violence any one of which could result in some very undesirable turns of events leading to greater areas of violence stopping who knows where assuming they stop at all. The world at present is a powder keg and it would not take much to light the fuse, assuming it has not already been lit.

One Unsafe Concept and One Ineligible to Lead

We have two great threats from within which we have yet to discuss. These are on top of the elite group of ex-military and security leaders who are dead set on surrendering our natural and ancient homelands of Judea and Samaria without even getting a thank you from the Arabs simply in the hope that they will be viewed with great honor and be permitted to travel Europe safely. They are flawed in their proffered solution to a problem that needs not their faux-expertise and equally wrong that the Europeans will forgive their military service and now love them. To Europe they are still war criminals and they would still be tried should they disembark and walk on sacred European soil; may it give forth as they give unto Israel, bitter yields. But there are other dangers; so shall we end this tribute to last week’s disasters and move to this week’s and the other long standing.

The long standing is the easier and more simple but still a threat in the wings. It has long been understood by the majority of Israelis outside Tel Aviv that the Labor party, despite its allure, poses a threat Israel dare not take. The threat is their concept of what is an acceptable risk for peace. Their current leader and poseur of greatness of which we can only allow his image to exist in his mind as should he ever make good on his dreams we would all get to live his nightmare. We refer to Yitzhak “Bougie” Herzog, the current leader of the Labor Party who has shown his willingness to go to any extreme in the hope to realize his dream of being Prime Minister and making the peace that has eluded all before him. His real ambition is to live up to his pedigree with his family tree including almost innumerable greats including but not limited to President Chaim Herzog and Rabbi Yitzhak HaLevi Herzog, Israel’s first Chief Rabbi; Yaacov Herzog served in the Haganah and was a political adviser to David Ben-Gurion; and as an in-law, Abba Eban. Bougie is going to need more than his cute moniker to measure up to the towering greats who preceded him. The question as to what he might do if he should ever be Prime Minister has now been answered.

It had become public knowledge that before the past election that in anticipation of his being Prime Minister, Labor Party and ‘Zionist Union’ co-head, Yitzhak Herzog took it upon himself to negotiate, if that is the right word, a letter of intent, we might say surrender, with Mahmoud Abbas in which they presumably reached an accord on the principles for peace. In this agreement Israel was to surrender 96% of Judea and Samaria and surrender an area equal to the last 4% from within the Green Line, though which land was left undetermined, surrender half of Jerusalem yet somehow Israel would retain the Western Wall and plaza known as the Kotel while surrendering the Temple Mount as an international zone and remainder of the old city, while Jerusalem would remain under a single governance. How Jews were to make their way across Palestinian controlled lands to visit the Kotel was also not made evident, perhaps helicopter tours where they rappelled in or some such method, we do not know. Further there would be some undetermined number of ‘Arab refugees’ permitted to return into Israel to be reacquainted with their presumed lost family heritage and properties. This too was left in the air. The one thing probably not left in the air but simply refused was any recognition of Israel as the home of the Jewish People. That was still probably beyond what Mahmoud Abbas could grant even in this form of a make believe dream of Yitzhak’s grand dream. As we all can now rejoice, Yitzhak Herzog and the ‘Zionist Union’ did not get to form a ruling coalition and we were literally saved from these evil designs. The one other great saving grace Israel received from these revelations is we now know beyond any shadow of doubt that the Labor Party, its figment of imagination and misnomer of ‘Zionist Union’ (which is neither Zionist nor Union as Tzipi Livni’s party is now a party of one, or maybe two) can never be permitted to be even included in a unity coalition even if such would appear to be to the advantage of the state as their designs on fame and fortune would endanger the nations as even with the slightest sliver of power they would sell out Israel for the ability to claim there was now peace.

As in the words made famous over two centuries ago when Patrick Henry made his impassioned plea to the Virginia House of Burgess imploring them to join and sign the Declaration of Independence he entreated them, “Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace– but there is no peace.” The same now applies in Israel and we too need to make and apply as our answer our own Declaration of Independence. This declaration must include the liberation of our lands, all of our lands; especially the lands of Judea and Samaria from which the idolaters who worship death must be driven out as were the Canaanites who too worshiped death in their sacrifices to Ba’al. This is our sacred duty and we can do it now while things are not so desperate or we can make a situation which will demand of us to take the lands as rockets rain down upon Tel Aviv and the heartland of our Israel because we foolishly gave the Judean Hills overlooking the midsection of our nation allowing the enemy to press their boot upon our necks and attempt to choke the life out of our country. There is no manner of safeguard which can be applied which would save the thin neck that surrounds Tel Aviv once we allow the Arabs free will upon the highlands overlooking this densely populated area. There was a reason all our brothers and sisters who led us in our biblical fights for survival always dragged the battles into the hills of Judea and Samaria as we held those highlands and forcing them to attack from below gave us the advantage we needed. Our enemies relied on cavalry and chariots both of which lose their advantage when fighting uphill in rough terrain. Now we will give those same hills to an enemy making us the ones who now have the chariots known as tanks having to climb the hills from below allowing making them easy targets for anti-tank missiles. The very missiles which Iran will flood the Arab areas with as soon as the IDF leaves and they have their terror state. Iran will arm them with rockets, mortars with which to initiate the war at their time of choosing and also provide the anti-tank armaments and all the tools of war including mines to prevent easy approach and to set traps for men and machine alike. That is the reality if we ever give the Arabs their desired lands and we will pay the price for such foolishness. There is but one solution and the world may hate us for taking our land but at least our children will be safe and the world cannot hate us twice as much as hate is hate. They all know that all the land is our land legally which is why there has never been a case brought in the international courts. The only place where the land is not ours is in the court of foreign opinions and they do not reside here and will never face the barrage of rockets they salivate waiting to force us into the compromise which would seal our doom, but we can simply resume our proper rule over our lands and the Arabs residing there can either accept reality or leave, and if necessary, as they attack we can arrest them and declare them as foreign agents expelling them once and for all. Those who wish to remain peaceful can even be allowed citizenship after they prove their knowledge of our historical right to the lands and willingly sign a pledge of allegiance to the State of Israel and homeland of the Jewish People and should they ever break that pledge we can once again invite them to leave and never return. We will not need to force anybody from their homes, only those who are known aggressors who have already proven they refuse to recognize our legitimacy would be forced to leave. The rest would choose themselves and if they prefer being compensated for their lands and property, then so be it, it would be money well spent. Yes, we would pay them in dollars as the shekel is not worth much in Syria or the rest of the lands where they would be at home.

Our other threat which appears to be gaining some official recognition and even acceptance is the idea of a manmade port attached to Gaza by a causeway where ships can come and load and unload and the wares coming into Gaza be checked and cleared before being sent by truck into Gaza and where these same trucks can bring their exports for loading for transport to their destinations. How this is different other than location from the current system of using the port at Ashdod escapes our sense of reason (picture of port below). The crazed idea is to spend over a billion shekels, likely closer to five-billion shekels, to build an Island and port facilities some distance, presumably safe distance, out into the Mediterranean Sea from Gaza and connect it to Hamas held Gaza, the Hamas held part is very important, by a multi-lane two way causeway where trucks would transport goods both into and out of Gaza allowing for presumably easier, more efficient and more independent transference of goods in both directions. Since there would also presumably be an agreement that all incoming and outgoing cargo would still be checked and approved by Israeli security inspectors, it completely escapes us as to how this is any different than the current system where trucks take whatever cargo need go in either direction to Ashdod where the port there, a very capable and already functioning port, and inspections are carried out by Israeli security inspectors. But we do see one vital difference; so please follow with us below.

Port of Ashdod

Port of Ashdod

This port island which would be built within Israeli territorial waters, meaning under three or at most generous five miles, would still be well within artillery range and even within guided rocket fired anti-tank missiles like the Kornet missile which was fired at a school bus from Gaza in Israel injuring the driver and murdering the lone young student still on the bus. The bus had just discharged the remaining students with the one exception remaining onboard so he could visit his grandmother further in Israel and was taking the bus there (picture of remains of the bus below). Expecting that the inspectors, in consideration of their safety, would be located on the manmade island where the trucks would be loaded and unloaded and this would be most convenient to do along the piers as the goods are unloaded and prepared for loading. There would be stationed IDF troops, probably a platoon or maybe two when suspicions were high, guarding the entry to the port island giving each truck a quick inspection before allowing it access to the port itself. Needless to point out that securing this new facility would in and of itself be an expensive endeavor as there would also likely be some naval support made readily available in case of an incident as any troops could be attacked by a joint operation of engagement by rocket fire from Gaza while a number of trucks crash any barricades and deploy terrorist troops in an attack to oust the Israeli inspectors and IDF troops taking over the facility with deadly results.

After such an attack is the probability that it would be timed in order to unload contraband known to be on a ship the Iranians sent under a false flag. The unloading and making way back into Gaza with any such shipment of contraband would be completed before Israeli forces could retake the port, another expensive in cost and lost soldiers and inspectors lives as Hamas would not be taking too many prisoners of the IDF troops, just the inspectors would serve their purposes. The entire idea of such a port is a nightmare for security services and design. The port for security would need a cement wall between it and Gaza in order to prevent direct fire from striking the port facilities, personnel or ships docking there. Troops would need to be stationed in blockhouses to keep them safe from snipers and allow them to watch the coast of Gaza for any threats and have sufficient firepower to neutralize any threat. The system used on the land side of Gaza with cameras and remote fired weaponry, often fifty-cal. machine guns, have proven effective and safer for personnel but also an added expense. These blockhouses would also prove to be prime targets for Hamas and Islamic Jihad or others and repair and replacement would also prove prohibitively expensive. The possibility that tanks and heavy artillery or other heavy weapons and larger rocket motors or guidance systems could be smuggled in either well hidden within cargo or through raids, such as described above, provides another threat which would need be considered and weighed when considering such folly. No matter how one describes this venture and despite any designs or other precautions, the truth is this port would end up in the hands of Hamas and there is no humanly way of securing this facility from eventual, and likely fairly quickly, falling into Hamas’s hands and remaining under their control as it simply was realized that it was too risky and otherwise adverse to continue to retake and defend the indefensible.

The expense to build the facility, providing it did not get constantly attacked and workers killed by snipers making even building it next to impossible; after erecting it and attempting to defend it, we would eventually face an even more expensive reality, destroying it and re-sinking the island. The destruction would generate great amounts of additional ire and the European Union and who knows who else would call for turning the port over to Hamas as having Israeli control of the new Gaza port facility would be an aberration unacceptable to Israel’s uncountable enemies. The United Nations General Assembly would from day one be hearing announcements from Mahmoud Abbas, Turkey, Iran, Europeans and who knows how many others calling for the port to be released to Hamas and then the sea embargo would be resumed and denounced anew with greater fervor. Israel would be placed in a lose-lose situation after great expense which even if there were international backers who promised to assist in the cost, no funds would ever see their way into Israeli hands; so we would pay for the entire fiasco.

The end result would be Hamas having a well built and very modern and functioning port facility at which Iranian cargo ships could freely unload one after another filled in their bellies with rockets, missiles, potentially aircraft and who knows what else. We could expect Iranian warships to be docked there and patrolling what would now be Gazan and Hamas international waterways. Once Gaza has the port, there would be no way of preventing Iran from assisting in rebuilding the international airport which could be opened for air resupply from Iran and who knows where else. There would soon be squadrons of fighter jets and trained Hamas and Islamic Jihad pilots to fly them and Gaza would be sitting at the United Nations recognized now as its own nation and there would be nothing Israel could do to prevent these scenarios from playing out within a year or two of having built and provided Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the rest a port which would very likely provide an entry point to the Islamic State to enter and prepare attacks upon Israel. What would enter Gaza from the sea and soon thereafter from the air would facilitate their claim to be a nation and the Europeans would apologize after they supported such with their votes in the United Nations and their eagerness to allow Gaza to open embassies in their capitals so they could be amongst the first to recognize this glorious terror state. Europe has seldom if ever missed an opportunity to place Israel at further risk if they thought it would divert a single terrorist from attacking them. For the Europeans they see Israel as their shield meant solely to absorb the punishment of any Islamic anger just to keep them believing they are safer. Their folly knows no bounds and this port would only serve as yet another idea which can only end poorly. How about we skip this one, OK?

European Anti-Semitism Could Destroy the IDF

One can tell much from the way a society regards, honors and protects the remains of those passed away. Often it is the first heartbreak for Jewish communities and a sign that their welcome has worn thin and the end is coming and coming fast if steps are not taken to turn the malodorous intents of hatred growing more vehement or even violent against their Jewish neighbors. The stench of Jew hatred is currently running rampant across Europe to such an extent that even the United States State Department, not exactly the best friend of Jews worldwide, especially those in Israel, has assigned additional staffers to assist United States Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism Ira Forman in her efforts to combat and bring attention to the growing problem. This recognition has been made most evident with the destruction and defacing of Jewish graves and entire cemeteries. When repair or restoration of these cemeteries is ignored, or worse, refused, then the reality needs be addressed by the world. When these same hatreds which wreak havoc and destruction of memorials to those souls who have passed is transferred to the living with demands for judgement before facts are even investigated by the world’s stage, then it is an entirely different matter. That places actual lives not only of the accused in danger and under threat but extends to the entire public should such cause pause in acting in difficult and potentially deadly situations where a simply hesitation can result in deaths and permanent injury. But Israel as the Jewish State is held to such a different set of standards that a soldier’s future freedom is of less value than the use the leaders can derive from grandstanding on this soldier’s freedom and life just for some public relations seeking approval from the Europeans who engineered the entire set of events to get just that result. The reality that the Europeans just desire turning Jew against Jew and are willing to pour millions upon millions of Euros just to turn the government loose grinding a soldier for a momentary reaction within the gears greased by a European funded NGO and its video manipulation following an organized provocation filmed start to finish in the hope the video can be edited to destroy the reputation of the IDF, its soldiers and the government overseeing them. The destruction of cemeteries is insufficient when they can destroy living Jews, especially Israeli Jews and even more so its protectors, the IDF. Let us first establish the destruction perpetrated in European nations against Jews long dead and buried simply because they were Jews no matter how distantly in the past they committed the sin of being Jewish. Their rest must be marred by violence against which they are not about to rise up and protest and soon there may be no Jews left in Europe to protect and protest such defamations. Below are visuals of two separate but equally insulting desecrations against Jews past after which we will discuss a case of destruction of a Jew in the present using Jews and the Jewish State’s leadership, a sad situation where the government and people are on vastly different tracks. The people think less of European praise and could not care less about European scorn, deserved or not. The world has done all it could and as we have returned home we are done with walking with heads hung low refusing to look those who claimed to be our betters eye to eye, Simply put, Never Again!

Elor Azariya is the soldier who has been turned into a media circus and the latest sacrifice by those who care less about this young man or the truth. One item ignored was the entire event was a provocation be the NGO named B’Tselem. B’Tselem is registered as Israeli NGO due to vulnerability in Israeli law which allows for foreign financed organizations to register as domestic in origin. This is something not permitted by any other democratic government or nation anywhere on the planet. When similar laws are introduced in Israel, the uproar would make one believe this was an unimaginable offense to have NGOs who are predominantly foreign financed register as such. The caterwauling from mostly European hypocrites claiming that making foreign funded NGOs register as foreign financed or reveal such financing will destroy democracy in Israel. What they are protesting is losing their fifth front implanted within Israel by European government and the European Union in order to destroy Israel and her credibility through pretending that these are native NGOs and not foreign entities financing the miniscule extreme leftist minority making them giants through largess from Europe. B’Tselem is one such NGO and has been at the center of this entire fiasco which may destroy one soldier’s life who, at worst, may have made a judgement which might at worst be judged as a mistake but not a conspiracy or heinous miscarriage of justice and prejudicial killing of an innocent. Perhaps we should cover the entirety of the story from the very beginning, the beginning ignored by virtually every news service as proving racist attitudes in Israel is just too juicy a morsel to allow for honest reporting free of prejudging the case and sacrificing a young soldier simply to skewer Israel and press her political class against true justice and the will of the people. So, who are the real murderers of Israeli democracy now?

The event took place in and around Hevron where terror attacks including shootings, stabbings, firebombing, rock throwing often utilizing slings and even suicide bombings of patrols and checkpoints. This day a checkpoint was assaulted by a pair of Palestinians under the direction of instigators from B’Tselem with it not having been determined if the team from the foreign funded NGO which specialized in provocations claiming that their use of Palestinians to attack, harass, and press soldiers in whatever manner might produce what could be filmed and edited to give an appearance of wrongdoing. Then once the video taken from these confrontations have been carefully edited, they are placed on the internet where they receive reposting, likes and whatever any other push it may require to force it into a viral rating thus initiating an inflated viewing using chains of fellow travelers using numerous accounts. B’Tselem claims to be a human rights organization whose aim is to improve IDF human rights training but as they have never taken a single instance to assist training IDF soldiers but instead use provocations to paint the IDF as fierce and unprincipled murderers. Their acts do nothing to improve human rights, better training or even assisting in improving conditions and relations between the IDF forces and the Palestinians. The biggest successes of B’Tselem and their fellow extreme leftist European NGOs which are still registered as Israeli has been getting two combat unit commanders removed from their commands and one even forced into early retirement. One such command officer reacted to having his hand grabbed and at least one finger bent back to the point of breaking the digit and then was pushed and spat upon numerous times. When he attempted to step between leftist Europeans who were intent on blocking a major roadway and his beleaguered soldiers he was again struck and lost his temper and struck the lead European instigator and soon after another assault by the European group leader again struck the officer who defended himself. Needless to point out the video showed little of the provocation but placed the officer’s reactions in full and glorious coverage. About the only thing left out was a slow motion replay of the officer attacking the European instigator. These events which placed Elor Azariya (pictured below) at the center of this firestorm of political correctness was manufactured to fit compliance with European dictats. Another item which requires consideration is there exists a state of war between the Palestinian Authority and Israel as far as their government and society are concerned. This war is an anything for the cause being part and parcel of this conflict.

Elor Azariya

Elor Azariya

This day brought the B’Tselem team replete with photographers who filmed most of the entire instigation from several different angles so as to miss little if any actions. They were escorting two Arabs armed with knives who at a sign set upon the soldiers with knives in an attempt to murder them. After they relatively seriously wounded one of the soldiers and were continuing their assault on the remaining soldiers as well as, the injured soldier who was possibly unable to defend himself adequately led the remaining soldiers to open fire. They struck both terrorist assailants killing one outright and disabling the other as their action had removed his knife. The terrorist was wearing a heavy coat on a very warm day making such an obvious danger of the terrorist attacker having a bomb belt strapped to his body. To this point the soldier under investigation and being tried for manslaughter (he was originally charged with murder but that was quickly realized not prosecutable) had not arrived on scene. Once Elor Azariya did arrive on scene it was known that the terrorist had yet to be searched and nobody had checked or knew what was, if anything, concealed under the heavy coat which was very loose fitting. The MDA (Magen David Adom) medics were standing off waiting for the terrorist to be searched and the heavy coat to be at least opened and confirmed not to be concealing a bomb belt or other explosives. MDA rules do not allow their medics to treat or even approach any terrorist who has yet to be searched due to concerns and the potential for their personnel’s health and safety. Elor Azariya reached this scene and quickly realized that the terrorist and the other dead terrorist, had both been injured with the one having died of his wounds and the other injured and presumably pacified. What is important is pacified does not mean rendered completely threat free as he had yet to be searched as the other soldiers were busy attending to their injured brother in arms. This was the initial scene from which the series of events would proceed.

The remainder we will describe here is the best scenario we are able to piece together with a few commentaries to put everything into prospective. At some point soon after the arrival by Elor Azariya the terrorist moved his hands from over his head and appeared to start to reach inside or under his coat which caused Elor Azariya to fire one shot striking the terrorist in the head killing him instantly. The fact the shot was to the terrorist’s head is important as IDF soldiers spend a great amount of time training to shoot terrorists in places which will render them unable to continue any attack while not necessarily fatally wounding them unless they are a direct threat to life and that is the only effective choice. Obviously when firing to end a confrontation the likelihood that a terrorist will receive fatal injuries is far higher. The IDF soldiers are particularly good at aiming their weapons and striking exactly what and where they aimed which has left many a terrorist alive and able to eventually be released in some exchange of a thousand terrorists for a single soldier or as a bribe to allow Abbas to shake the Israeli Prime Minister’s hand at a photo op often with an American President or his representative. There is one time when the IDF soldiers are trained to take a head shot which is when any injury which allows the terrorist even a few seconds of life before passing from their wounds could result in the death or injury of others including soldiers by the terrorist’s next action. Pressing a detonator on a bomb belt is very high on said list of times a soldier is permitted to take a head shot. The terrorist had not been approached or checked for explosives as every testimony has proven. Perhaps soldiers’ ranking officer had decided to wait for trained bomb disposal experts so as to limit vulnerability of his men. Whatever the reason, the terrorist had not been checked and very well may have possessed explosives and have been reaching for the detonation button which would have killed or wounded most soldiers, medics and potentially civilians watching; this soldier had good, solid reason to take that fateful head shot. He also deserves support, not a circus to amuse and please the Europeans who will never accept Israel or her leaders. This all backs Elor Azariya and the story given by the MDA medics, other soldiers and commander of the units at the checkpoint that the terrorist appeared to be reaching for a detonator under his coat. Even the military investigator backed the story line that all actions appeared to have coincided with the scenario of a terrorist wearing a bomb belt. This has weakened what has been an establishment lynching of an IDF soldier on the altar of European political correctness. All else is hearsay and barracks braggadocio is worthless as actual evidence. The main evidence which will be ignored is the soldier took a head shot as per his training when facing a potential bombing is imminent.

Another attack last week occurred in Aleppo, Syria where the hospital was struck along with the living quarters next door used as a dormitory for personnel, particularly those from Doctors Without Borders, killed the sole existing pediatric physician for hundreds of miles as well as other physicians and nurses. There has been no call for those responsible to be brought up on charges. The numerous bombings and mistaken shootings in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya and elsewhere in the modern post-World War II world have resulted in extraordinary little prosecutions. Then there was the entirety of World War II and the bombings of cities into rubble and then bombed the rubble until a firestorm was ignited and which claimed millions of lives in European theater alone. The loss of life in Japan was horrific in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and even greater carnage was committed by the firebombing of Tokyo and in all of these there were no trials for these bombings. There have been seldom and far between prosecutions even if mistaken identities resulting in noncombatant deaths. In Israel this past week one security patrol member shot dead a terrorist who acted in a suspicious manner causing the security officer to suspect the existence and imminent detonation of a bomb belt so they shot the terrorist dead and this individual may be receiving a medal for their quick actions which may have saved lives. We could continue and the list would grow longer and reading more tedious so let us just agree that mistakes are made and nobody is brought up on charges of murder or manslaughter as during times of war violence often goes too far. Yes, we realize this is Israel where one side is held to an impossibly high set of expectations while the other side can shove children in front of a speeding train and claim the conductor intentionally ran the child down and an investigation would be launched and politicians would be apologizing from the outset before the investigation could be organized while seeking somebody to try on charges to prove how noble they are.

That is exactly what happened in the case involving Elor Azariya and his shooting of the terrorist. Another item we need remember is this individual terrorist had also attempted and may have assisted in the stabbing of an IDF soldier and had to be shot and bleeding before he was prevented from continuing his stabbing spree. His cohort was shot and killed to end his killing spree. This terrorist had already proven he would do anything he could to kill IDF soldiers and that is the starting point in this fiasco. Defense Minister Ya’alon from the get-go had tried this young soldier and was prepared to throw him to the alligators in the swamp. Recent surveys have shown the Israeli public supporting the soldier from the low end two-to-one to the higher end of three-to-one and likely to grow even higher as more information is leaks out to the public. The Prime Minister was equally hurried in joining in condemning the soldier demanding the investigation be hurriedly put together and the politically correct verdict be found and the facts subsequently arranged in support. Everywhere there were politicians from presumably both sides of the aisle attempting to condemn this soldier and sacrifice him on the alter of political correctness for the purpose of placating the Europeans who will refuse to be placated for as long as Jews are permitted their own nation. Perhaps the best would be to quote a presumed random sample of individuals from this editorial here.

From a young soldier: “In our unit we are all completely ashamed of how this soldier is being treated. Of course he should have shot the terrorist dead. If this is the way he is treated why are we in the army at all?”

From a mother: “I do not want my children to go into the army if that is how one soldier is being treated.”

From a grandmother: “It is all the Supreme Court’s fault. They set the tone. They are pro-Arab and do not care what happens to us. It has always been like that.”

From a male voter: The rule of law is important. What will the world think if we don’t appear to be just?

From his wife: When you are dealing with such an enemy you can’t afford to pander to world opinion. Do you really think that they cared that we were moral during the Holocaust or any of the wars against us?

From a bank manager: The media are partly responsible for fanning flames on behalf of the terrorists which enables further murders. Where are our censors in this time of actual war?

There very well could be a cleansing of the Knesset and a huge turn around against Bibi Netanyahu to the point that the Likud Party may best be served by his stepping aside and allowing one of the more nationalistic members such as Moshe Feiglin or Danny Danon to step up and lead the party onward . If Bibi refuses to step aside while the people of Israel are this upset and agitated, then he is far more tone deaf when it comes to ruling than many believed and perhaps all he really cared about was remaining the leader of the country. From the limited number of people we have interacted with, support for Elor Azariya is very strong with those who follow events and these are the people in our community who are the leadership. The next elections may be coming far sooner than most believe and another sacrificing of one of our brave young men before the idol of Ba’al. Elections may come immediately as we want nothing to do with idolaters, especially those making sacrifices in the hopes of placating the Europeans who want nothing less than every Israeli shipped to America or dead and nothing in between as that would place some Jews in Europe. They have made their fateful choice which has ended any hopes of Jews being accepted back. Europe is gone and we in Israel would be wise to remember that reality.
