A Rant from One Joyous Jew in Israel

 

Back in my youth I would get rolling eyes, good and hearty laughs, challenges to my sincerity and general disbelief when I told my Jewish and other friends that one day I would retire in Israel. Well, not only did I make good on my words, I found an affordable place five blocks from the Mediterranean Sea in Nahariya in northwestern Israel and the western end of the Galilee. One of my friends from before grade school through high school visited my parents and asked as to my whereabouts as most of my high school graduating class scattered to all corners of every state in the nation almost all losing touch except for rare crossings in our travels. When my parents informed him that I had moved to Israel, their quote of his reaction was interesting. They told me he laughed while getting out the words of disbelief stating, “My G0d, he actually did it. He had told us back in grade school and on that he would retire in Israel and he actually went and did it.” Similar reactions have been stated by people who throughout my life were told my intention. I was raised as a reform Jew in a liberal area just outside of Washington D.C. in a neighborhood which it turned out would fall just inside the Capital Beltway. Yes, we lived as part of the inside the Beltway crowd but not until we were fourteen and the roadway was opened. I was actually at the opening just across the county line over in Prince Georges County and made the cover of the Washington Star but somehow the Washington Post used a picture which I managed to miss. I tell people this because they knew I would eventually become a conservative Constitutionalist and a Zionist when it came to Israel. None of my friends, to the best of my knowledge, did more than maybe visit Israel for a short vacation or funded trip made possible by one of the many organizations which sponsor such trips in hopes that they will spark good responses. Unfortunately many of these planned trips are hijacked by post-Zionists which would be better described as anti-Zionist and some even pro-Palestinian Arab. At some point some of these visitors are told by guides that Israeli Jews could live in an Israel as a minority under Muslim rule. They use this introduction to claim that millions of Arabs claiming to be refugees or their progeny and thus entitled to live within Israel would cause little if any problems. They ignore that these refugees are raised such that their entire existence is for the destruction of Israel through population inundation. Allowing for a Muslim majority in Israel would force the Jews to leave, or if not that, then remove the Jews using some other means of final solution.

 

There are things which are presumably not permitted be stated when discussing Israel Arab conflict. The biggest lie is that the Israel Arab conflict is between the Israeli Goliath against the Arab Palestinian David ignoring the fact that as many as twenty Arab governments and numerous other Muslim governments all demand that the Jewish State be returned in its entirety to Islamic rule and all the Jews made to perish and that is the reality which must never be spoken. The truth of this conflict is easily understood when looking at a map of the nations whose populations predominantly desire the eradication of Israel (see map below). This includes even Egypt, which recognized Israel when making peace under the brave guidance of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat who signed a peace with Menachem Begin, the Israeli Prime Minister, in 1979 and President Sadat then paid with his life as he was assassinated by members of the Muslim Brotherhood using their members from a military unit during a parade on October 6, 1981 as reported by the New York Times. The population of Egypt by over four to one favors Egypt breaking the treaty and attacking and destroying Israel. As far as the Egyptian population has ever heard in reports and been taught in their schools, the Egyptian military has defeated Israel in each of the three wars, 1956, 1967 and 1973, despite the reality being the opposite. Those who fought in these wars and know the reality are forbidden from speaking of these defeats under threat of death.

There are many other truths which shall never be mentioned. The truth is that the leadership of the Arab Palestinian Authority (PA) have rejected the two state solution and will only accept a single Muslim Arab state completely devoid of any Jews. There is no difference between the desired end between the PLO, Fatah, the PA, Islamic Jihad and Hamas. The various terrorist groups (the ones listed in the last sentence and more) are supported by the Muslim Brotherhood (the same parent group for al-Qaeda), Saudi Arabia, Iran and other radical groups both Sunni and Shiite. The monies donated by the United Nations, UNRWA, the European Union, various European governments, the United States and near countless NGOs are often diverted to terrorist usage including purchasing explosives, bomb and rocket making systems and supplies, tunnels, and payments well above the average wage for terrorists in Israeli prisons, the families of terrorists who died such as suicide bombers and others who continued attacking until killed in the commission of their attack with these salaries commensurate with the numbers of Israelis they murdered. The PA headed by Mahmoud Abbas and internationally reputed to be Israel’s best hope for peace and the greatest hope for establishing a two state solution has approved and even attended official events naming schools, roads, parks, playgrounds and other public institutions and landmarks after terrorists who are revered and proposed as the pinnacle of Arab society and the best possible people for the youth to emulate and strive to be their equals in the dealing of death to Israelis. When touting murdering Israelis there is often additional mention of murdering Jews and it is made evident that these Jews intended to include all Jews anywhere in the world. Should one take one hour a week in two or three short periods watching translations of PA spokespeople, leadership and the politicians on any of the following web addresses; CAMERA (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America), MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute), PMW (Palestinian Media Watch)and a whole new world will be revealed and in their own words and calls to action. These sights are all reputable translation services which are run by NGOs who take pride in their work and present as honest a translation as they are able as to do otherwise would have had them revealed as untrustworthy in all the media which would love to be able to silence their reporting.

 

Most of us already have realized we are being fed propaganda by the mainstream media; even on the so-called honest reporting in Fox the entirety of the truth is withheld as to be that forthright would cause them more trouble than their reputation is worth. It would be difficult to report news if you were spending half your manpower on facing court cases for wrongful reporting and emotional damage due to false reporting brought by adversaries desiring to prevent certain facts from reaching the public. Thankfully, and due to the bloggers, the truth of the vote against having belief in G0d as well as Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel being rejected by the floor when it was attempted to add it to the party platform back in 2012 was reported by C-SPAN with some coverage but not wall-to-wall 24/7 as they would have done if the Republican Convention would have been reported. There is even a You Tube video of the procedure which is rather amusing in a strange sort of way (see below). You cannot make these things up, honest. It would be difficult to tell but Hillary Clinton has told some tall tales, which if attempted to change position similarly by Trump has gotten nightly coverage. One prime example was when speaking to coal miners where Hillary told them she was ready to put them back to work despite her speech a few years ago about how she was going to put coal out of business when speaking to an eco-conference. I know, that’s just politics. Remember that the next time they ridicule Trump for making contradictory statements or do you believe that when Trump does it that just proves his dishonesty or simply his being mentally challenged. The media has taken a side in the American elections and they have also taken a side against Israel in their reporting except they couch it by granting the Palestinian side complete forgiveness in all things and never reveal their lies and other prevarications. The actual lands which belong to Israel for the homeland of the Jews includes the Negev Desert, the Galilee, Judea, Samaria and all the rest of the lands between the Jordan Valley and the Mediterranean Sea including the Jordan Valley. That is a trick statement because it actually equals all the lands from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. This was decided at the San Remo Conference, further validated by a unanimous vote by the League of Nations, was stipulated in the British Mandate, and included in a number of treaties which included validation of the San Remo Conference within the documents after World War I, included specifically in the Treaty of Sèvres and finally was validated by Article 80 of the United Nations Charter. Simply put, International Law supports Israeli ownership of the land and they can do as they please with some basic reservations. They must provide all non-Jews with religious freedom, freedom of property, freedom of association and other basic freedoms with one very important exception; they do not need to grant anyone other than Jews with political rights. This means they do not have to give the Arabs the right to vote in Israeli elections or even local election if they so choose. This is a very important technicality as it completely erases the claim that the Arabs can take over Israel democratically by reproducing and simply out populating the Jews and vote them out of Israel one way or the other. Israel has the right to allow the Arabs in the PA areas total freedom in every way with the exception of the vote and other political rights according to international law, period. The principle wording of the San Remo Convention states, “British Government, and adopted by the other Allied Powers, in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.” The political status for the Jews in other countries were not altered as instead over the ensuing two decades after the founding of Israel the vast majority of Arab nations which had Jewish communities ejected them after taking virtually all their precious possessions and their savings. Once they were evicted from the home nations, many of their families had resided in for centuries if not thousands of years, most made their way to Israel as if they had no relatives residing in Europe or the United States, they were denied entry and only Israel offered them a welcoming homeland. Israel could and should annex legally and officially the remainder of lands, reclaim Judea and Samaria (West Bank) and grant their Arab citizens resident alien status and even be beneficent and allow them voting rights within Area A and B where the PA currently has control and allow them to reside where they please; but if they leave the PA semiautonomous region, they would lose all voting rights. Their elections would be monitored and arranged by Israel and would welcome any and all foreign observers so as to assure these elections were not mismanaged. This would be legal under every manner of international law and the granting of semiautonomous region where the Arabs would have voting rights is a measure of magnanimity by Israel. We have presented this before but it bears repeating as often as necessary as currently there are some very dangerous ideas floating around even within the Israeli government and even from the high command of the IDF. The urgency of the situation is drawn from the fear and soon to be fact, within a generation or two at the most, the world of nations will spit out their Jews and then attempt to eradicate Israel from the maps and history.

The Only Two Endings to Arab Israeli War

 

One of them was considered inevitable and even about to become historic fact. When the United Nations Made their respective division of lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea there were constant ongoing debates in the make-up of the map and who got what lands with some holding that it mattered not one bit which was chosen as the Arab Armies from all of the neighboring Arab States and beyond would descend upon the Jews slaughtering every last Jew. Finally, on November 29, 1947 the United Nations issued their non-binding General Assembly Resolution 181, also known as the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine. The Jews under the authority of the Zionist Congress and the majority of Jewish groups accepted the plan without reservations and emphasized that the Jewish People were now granted a great opportunity to build a modern Jewish State which would live in peace with its neighbors. The Arab States reacted bristling with threats of annihilations sweeping the Middle East of the Jews and forcing them into the sea. These have been the persistent visions though how it had been fought has changed. The Arab rejection of the partition plan invalidated only the plans for dividing the lands but left the founding of some form of statehood over the last remaining piece of the British Mandate set for the ensuing May 15th of 1948. This meant that on that date the remaining claimant received all of the land of the remaining mandate as their land. This claim was further backed by the agreement between Arab League and Zionist Congress dividing British Mandate along the Jordan River such that the greater portion of just over three-fourths were to be Arab Land and the just under one-fourth reserved as indivisible protected by the British Crown for a Jewish State, (see maps below). This was how the situation sat on midnight of the morning of May 15th of 1948. The attitudes had not changed, simply became more encompassing on the Arab side with proclamations by the various leaders both secular and especially religious shrilling repeating the obvious destruction of any Jewish State, though their actual wordings were more shrill and far more descriptive using terminology such as slaughter, “Sweeping the Jews into the Sea,” annihilation such as Genghis Kahn and promises that no Jewish State would be permitted to reside in the heart of Arab Muslim lands Allah Will Providing. One can see, the sides and their rhetoric have little changed, Israel still calling for peace and mutual advancement and the Arabs for the total destruction of the Jewish State only now funneling such goals as support for the Palestinians to have their state on their lands which just happen to include all of Israel.

The evening of May 14, 1948 came and under the Jewish calendar the next day starts at sundown. The Israelis began their celebrations throughout the lands with great joy and exuberance showing no trepidations or sense of preparedness for the certain cataclysmic conflagrations which would commence the next morning and continue with some short, but important for both sides, armistice finally being ended at the final armistice line today referred to as the Green Line. This conflict had the most illogical of conclusions as both sides took opposite views, both with each other and each with what were the considered historical definitions of win and lose. The Arabs saw the concluding armistices as actions that would prove to be but a temporary cessation of the conflict which soon would not matter not as their victory would be made absolute soon, Allah permitting.

As the Arabs had seen gaining control over land not under their control at the onset of the war as a loss, the Jews saw their loss over those lands as their resultant victory as they had avoided the cataclysmic destruction of their entire state and their lives and the lives of every last Jew for whose protection they fought. Their victory was living to see another day and to retain the thought and existence of a Jewish State founded approximately two-thousand years after the Roman Dispersion and over two-thousand years after the last Maccabean Jewish State ruled. Since this cessation of fire this became the “Golden Borders” which Western negotiators always treated as the sacrosanct borders of choice. Every negotiation deliberated with claims that the Jordan River as the border never existed even for one day as the border of the Jewish State, a thought proven only by admitting a complete lack of both historical and biblical writings as one validates the other. The original Biblical Promised Lands by the application promised by Moses as described by the promises to Abraham and also Isaack and Jacob made by Hashem was defined by the Jordan River for those east of the River were defined as those the Israelites were not to war against but those west of the Jordan River had become so evil that their eradication from history was warranted. What was it that made them so evil can be traced back to the sacrifice Hashem demanded of Abraham only to intervene and demand that not only was his sacrificed beyond undesired but strictly forbidden by Hashem to make such sacrifice in any manner or way. This was the Sacrifice of Isaack, thus the Canaanites were an abomination as in their worship of Baal they sacrificed their children to their stone idol. Upon arriving at the Jordan River and the two tribes of herders, Reuben and Gad, requested of Moses to remain east as the lands were good for their cattle to graze and their ensuing promise to lead every battle for the conquest and remain until every other tribe had received their lands. This is from Numbers 32 which showed that even to remain east of the Jordan where their cattle could graze the two tribes of Reuben and Gad were required to take the lead in every battle thus risking the greatest numbers in casualties but often also the standout accomplishments. This was to absolve them of the lack of faith that their cattle would have eaten well in the Promised Lands west of the Jordan River.

 

Despite the Biblical evidence there is the agreement in the Churchill White Paper of June 3, 1922, calling to form the entity of Transjordan, with the border being the Jordan River and everything eastward leaving the remainders west of the Jordan River for the formation of the Jewish State. The Jordan River, for obvious reasons, has historically been the border used from the Biblical eras through until the Armistice of 1949 when the Jewish State controlled their smallest amount of lands. This was the only time at the end of hostilities that Israel was so restricted in land. As a consequence this border was the worst starting point Israel ever faced at the onset of war in 1967 which was the start of the Six Day War. At every ensuing war since the Six Day War the Jordan River had been the eastern boundary and at times beyond the Jordan River. Still the entirety of world efforts are to force Israel into her most vulnerable of positions she had ever held though the time of those boundaries has been less with the Jordan River and Golan Heights (which Israel annexed) have served as the border of Israel. The Golan Heights required annexation to become part of Israel and this was 1981 which was received with excessive series of condemnations and accusations of illegally expanding the recognized borders of Israel and you name it even to include references to this being the first step towards the attempt by Israel to achieve their desired Greater Israel. Nowhere did anyone refer to the portion of the Security Council Resolution 242 which allowed Israel to retain portions of the lands taken in a defensive war, which by historical precedents allowed for the winning side if having the war brought upon them managed to not only survive by push their aggressors back to retain all lands gained, Israel has subsequently returned the majority of the lands she held at the end of the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur War, both defensive wars, when Israel returned the entirety of the Sinai Peninsula. Should Israel retain the areas won from Jordan, were actually more liberated than conquered, as these were lands within the border declared and denoted by the United Nations on November 29, 1947, a critically conspicuous date either in its being mentioned or ignored.

 

The world apparently will neither remember their vote from 1947 nor the promises by the British in 1922 as both grants the Jordan River and all lands west as reserved for the formation of the Jewish State. Their insistence on, as President Bush and President Obama clearly stated the borders must be made with agreed swaps on the 1967 lines, 1949 Armistice Lines; both represent what has the denotations of the Green Line, which in Israeli interpretations are anything but green. The sad thing is it matters not what the world decides, states, implies or forces upon Israel. Nor does it matter one iota what Israel annexes, does not annex but holds, returns, becomes burdened with as return refused by former occupier as in Gaza and Egypt, or any other combination whereof. Nothing done here today on the Earth will change the inevitable and decisive, absolute, definitive and inevitable ending battle which will begin the resolution of this continuing conflict once and for all. One manner is so simple we can explain it in two sentences or conceivably less, so here goes. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) lines are broken at numerous points and there is a race to completely crash the IDF defenses routing any hope at stopping the Arab victory. The result of this should be obvious to all.

 

There is a difference in the meaning of victory for the two sides. A victory for Israel is that they did not lose and everyone being killed. If the IDF broke the enemies’ lines and made significant gains and gained crucial geographically critical areas such as the Golan Heights and Jordan River and Velley, this is significant if such gains can be used to reach a land for peace which turns out to be a true peace paper for all time and not just a piece of paper applied for a limited time. The return of the Sinai Peninsula was a compromise insisted upon by Egypt as Israel was willing to return Gaza but Egypt refused the additional lands demanding that Israel retain the Gaza. This resulted in the peace treaty with Egypt which was observed under Sadat who bravely made peace and paid for it with his life as the Muslim Brotherhood arranged his assassination. President Mubarak was his successor and also observed the treaty and his plight for such acts against the people have played out in the recent past as he too was killed for his keeping the peace with the Jewish State. Morsi did not keep the treaty but made a human error and ignored the people and threatened the military, bad combination with almost unavoidable end which Morsi did not escape. Now Egypt is ruled by its former ranking General who won their second free and open elections. His name is el-Sisi and he had taken steps and made decisions which would endear him to the people which made him the expectant winner of any election, and he had some respected and respectable opposition. The peace with Egypt remains intact even if shakily so. But is it a real peace if it depends on who rules Egypt and each new ruler of Egypt gets to decide if they need obey that peace or not if it becomes inconvenient or inhibits their desire to write large in history that unlike all the others who also hated the Zionist entity, they destroyed it. And that takes us to the other side once we realize Israel offers peace to all her enemies, an honest peace which ends any hostilities, and it is there for them to grasp if they honestly, and unfortunately as a ploy to gain advantage. So, Israel may welcome a true peace and is willing to accept even the shakiest of offers or sacrifices necessitated, but what will end the conflict?

 

As has been established, an Arab victory is easily discerned by simply reading their news, propaganda, school textbooks in Gaza and Judea and Samaria (West Bank), music, social media, historical records, Imam Sermons, political speeches and virtually wherever one looks or listens or reads; their definition over Israel does not end in a surrender followed by a simple change on governance, it results in a military victory followed by violence and slaughter on a Biblical scale with the death of over six-million Israeli Jews and unknown deaths among Israeli Christians, Druze, Bedouins and Muslims as outside of all Arab Muslim towns anybody and everybody is a potential target for the bloodletting which would follow. Not only would the conquering soldiers take part in this violence, the general populace would be permitted to take part in the slaughter in order to bring honor to their families such that even young children will be assisted in killing their share so that they could have a link to this glorious slaughter. To the Western World and the Wester mind such acts are inconceivable and their reaction when told of such realities is one of skepticism and denial, but there is too much evidence for outright dismissal. The most famous representation of this was a picture shot by a photojournalist and gotten out before any interception was possible, otherwise this photo below would never have seen the light of day. The picture thus eluded the censors who heavily restrict any news and especially any photos or videos as each is more threatening a media likely to reveal things those in power cannot allow to be reported such as the celebratory exultations, street parades and all sorts of spontaneous celebratory exuberance on the verge of insanity and pure blood lust unknown in much of the world but not all places. This would be the unavoidable and unstoppable even if their political or religious leaders actually cared to end it due to the excessive hatreds being stoked for decades would override all else and the slaughter would proceed as if on an hyper-autopilot.

That leaves what an Israel victory would look like. First, we are not talking what a peace from the Israeli side would look like as that is already known by their willingness to accept the armistice ending the war of annihilation which started the morning Israel declared her independence despite having lost over twenty percent of her total area she had the morning of the founding and ten percent of her population yet an end to the violence was so welcomed they declared this as their war of Independence. About the only resemblance to other wars of independence was the existence of Israel at the end of the war. Where other nations make their declaration of statehood from an occupying power or at the end of a war overthrowing previous governance, Israel was brought into existence at an expressed time by legal writ of the overseeing world body and had the neighboring nations not invaded come the morning sun there would have been no such war and the celebrations might have lasted much longer.

 

In the ensuing wars of 1956 British, French, Israeli alliance war with Egypt when Egypt closed the Suez Canal and the Straight of Tiran to shipping thus instigating a casus belli resulting in an Israel capture of the Sinai Peninsula so quickly the Egyptian call to the British and French approaching naval and air power requesting a stay of attack and to now hold talks. The French and British backed by the United States and United Nations agreed that Egypt would open the blockaded seaways in exchange for the return of the Sinai Peninsula, Israel agreed. After the 1967 Six Day War there were another set of armistice lines set by the United Nations and acquiesced but not formally recognized by the Arab states and accepted by Israel. There were the Golan Heights, the Suez Canal and the Jordan River. In the 1973 Yom Kippur war Egypt and Syria successfully opened a surprise attack on Israel while mainline forces had been granted large numbers of leaves for the High Holidays. Israel was knocked reeling but was able to put together responses using mixed regular line units made from whatever troops were gathered in different parts of the country with whatever equipment was available and sully dispatch reserve units and by the war’s end were routing Syrian units and well on their way to Damascus, routed Egyptian units and were heading for Cairo and Alexandria when Israel was informed that if they returned to the armistice lines which were in effect after the Six Day War the Arabs would agree to end hostilities, Israel agreed.

 

Israel made peace with Egypt and offered to return the entirety of the Sinai and Gaza, Egypt drew the line leaving Israel Gaza as Egypt found the area too unruly to control and wished the ticking time-bomb be part of Israel. Israel made peace with Jordan and offered to return their occupied areas they called the West Bank, Jordan refused the return of the land. It was some time until Jordan decided to pass their “claims” to the West Bank to the PLO such that the Palestinians could now claim those lands as having been stolen by Israel in an unnecessary and unprovoked war which was not started by the “Palestinian People of Palestine” which was the first we heard that Palestine was the West Bank. Before this the occupation was all of Israel. Despite the treachery and complete falsehoods used to make any claim to the lands Israel holds, the reality is every opportunity for a real or even appearance of real peace offered Israel has accepted the offer in the hope it would be honored by the next ruler in nations notorious for breaking terms made by previous rulers. Israel, under the Prime Ministerships of Ehud Barak and Ehud Olmert offered well over ninety-five-percent (that is over 95%) of the West Bank, all of Gaza and half of Jerusalem to end the standoff and both men, with one offering more than the predecessor, were refused without even the dignity of a counter offer. For Israel peace means equality for her citizens, security for all within her borders all the time, no wars, no terrorism, no questioning by those within her borders of whether they will be safe taking in a show, going to a restaurant for dinner or even having pizza for lunch on a summer’s day sightseeing with the kids. Peace means Israel need not worry about wars brought by her neighboring nations, their neighbors or even their neighbors which would include Iran as that is the distance Iran is from Israel, so Iranian claims of border incursions made by Israel are so much lies and propagandas. This includes the charges of Israeli spies brought against, as far as we have been able to discern, Mossad trained squirrels, pigeons and other various animals and the one-off spiritual summoned entity. Israel poses Iran absolutely no threat while the opposite cannot be said.

 

That is what peace with Israel looks like, peace without threats, propaganda and even cooperation where such can be arranged and performed preferably above board, but below and out of sight in required, though in the open for assistance is preferred as such shows a true and lasting peace exists. Such a peace will take years of deprogramming the Arab street and will take a change of heart in one of the main underlying influences which overrules national leaders and is feared by any wise leader hoping to instigate such a change as these are dangerous tides in which to swim. Any such person attempting such an overreaching and complete change in the substrate of an entirety that rules the minds of over one billion of mankind is playing with forces beyond imagination and would require the backing of a force capable of monitoring and resisting such a deeply seated force that people willing will launch themselves to certain death in order to satisfy the dictate given them from an authority figure. Such is an area fraught with dangers and requires equal parts bravado, carefully placements of steps, rigid backbone to their support and deadly accurate intelligence as the opponent will use deadly force as if it were salt sprinkled on a meal. There was once such a man in Turkey and his fine work was destroyed from the strangest of places, the White House and Brussels, Belgium, but that is a take for another day.

ISIS, Egypt, Sinai Peninsula and Hamas in Gaza

Is it a simple case of one of those strange quirks which history will muse over or is it a divine sign that the man who removed the Muslim Brotherhood horrors from governing Egypt and answered the cries of his people winning him the prized office of Egyptian President has a name which as spelled in English transliteration is the exact reverse of the English initials of the newest and most deadly allies of the Muslim Brotherhood, thus we have Egyptian President Sisi now facing forces from ISIS, Sisi vs. ISIS (and as we have said before, we pronounce ISIS as is, is thus it all depends on what the meaning of Is-is, is.) Now for the existing and coming horrors and the potential coming allies who have worked silently and in only the most untraceable means to support each other’s efforts in the Sinai Peninsula as well as Gaza may become all too public and by doing so be one of the most important ends of the coming series of conflagrations. There may be no choice for the Egyptian forces for success in forcing both the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamic State allied fighters from the Sinai Peninsula as President Sisi knows that he must not commit the entire strength of the Egyptian military into any sweep of the Sinai. Further, there are many within the Egyptian military whose villages and relatives live and are amongst if not having actually joined the Muslim Brotherhood or potentially joined the new Caliphate of ISIS and thus President Sisi and his generals are aware that they can only use troops specially chosen and known for their complete loyalty and discipline. Even those chosen for regular checkpoint or other daily military or security assignments are likely chosen carefully. One can bet that President Sisi probably witnessed, and not just knows of, the historic assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat by disgruntled members of the Egyptian military who were far more loyal to the Muslim Brotherhood.

 

There are many who will claim that there is nothing which would permit the presumably secular Muslim Brotherhood and the fanatical religious ISIS to form any alliance despite the truth that the Muslim Brotherhood spawned al-Qaeda which established the Iraqi organization for al-Qaeda from which ISIS was spawned. The reality is that the Muslim Brotherhood is a religiously based organization whose credo states that “The Koran is our constitution, the Prophet is our leader, jihad is our path and death in the name of Allah is our goal.” Where the Muslim Brotherhood has somewhat of a secular view is when it comes to governance that they claim to support a socialist governance which holds elections until the Muslim Brotherhood gains control over the national governance and then such inconveniences become less important. What has been overlooked in this false dichotomy is that the Muslim Brotherhood has not made any statement concerning their position on should the Caliphate be reestablished. By their apparent coordination in horrific and deadly assault on the Egyptian checkpoints and other positions throughout the Sinai Peninsula both the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS displayed a level of cooperation that should put to bed any doubts about their levels of agreement.

 

Further, there was obvious coordination and cooperation given these operations which included arms and other logistics from within Gaza provided by Hamas which should put to bed not only any doubts about Hamas working with their parent group, the Muslim Brotherhood, but also their cooperation and general support for ISIS and the willingness of ISIS to work willingly and knowingly with Hamas. This coordinated and seamless planning and execution of an assault on this level provides all the evidence necessary to prove that there is recognition and compliance with the authority granted to ISIS to lead the efforts of the Islamist groups and puts to lie the claims that ISIS was planning to go to war with Hamas but instead should provide all the evidence that the recent breakup of the Fatah unity government with Hamas was initiated by Hamas as they were already planning coordinated and supportive efforts with ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood against the government of President Sisi in Egypt. The thing which needs to be given the greatest amount of concern should be the replacement of Fatah and the Arab Palestinian Authority by the ISIS led, Muslim Brotherhood supported Hamas takeover of the Arab Palestinian operations in Judea and Samaria (West Bank) presenting Israel with the challenge of operations in Judea and Samaria taking on a whole new level of violence and coordinated threats should Fatah be defeated or simply collapse as any support it once enjoyed changing horses and moving to give their loyalties to the ISIS led Sunni Islamist merging of Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood into the ranks of ISIS.

 

This brings us to the facing off against a mutual foe between Egypt and Israel and the potential for coordination and potentially joint missions within the Sinai Peninsula as well as throughout Gaza between Israel and Egypt. This would mean a deeper level of coordination beyond simply intelligence sharing and the mere coordination of movements to assure that the two sides do not reach a point where they might interfere with each other’s execution of operations to a level where the coordinated and complimentary operations are planned with the aim of mutual strengthening the other’s effectiveness. There would also be situations, especially within Gaza, where operational support for Egyptian operations within Gaza would be granted close in air support and ground use of sorties from artillery fire to compliment one another’s operational effectiveness. Such coordination between Egyptian military operations, especially when such operations would require informing Israel of the size and scope of Egyptian operation in the Northern Sinai and especially such operations that may extend necessarily into Gaza, as all such in-force operations by Egypt are required to be cleared through Israel according to their peace treaty and supportive accords and also to avoid clashes between the two nations which could easily spiral out of control dissolving any gains made between the two nations in building trusts and peace. Such sharing of intelligence and potential coordination of operations even, if simply done to avoid direct confrontations which could arise as a result of a friendly-fire incident where both sides were attempting to establish their control over a particular objective, be that objective a central strongpoint or the eradication of a permanent large rocket and missile launch site in order to silence its use against both sides, as such a dedicated site would pose a definitive set of difficulties to any operations.

 

Cooperation between Israel and Egypt would not be an entirely new event as the levels of cooperation have been exercised previously as to who would take the lead position in apprehending any vessels attempting to break the blockade of Gaza which has been in effect since the Hamas takeover of the region from Fatah. This has been evidenced when on multiple occasions Egypt, both when under Mubarak and now under Sisi, when ships tried to smuggle by circumventing the Israeli blockade by hugging the Egyptian coast of the north of the Sinai Peninsula the Egyptians had a surprise for them, they guarded against such efforts as President Sisi and his government have had just as much to fear from Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza as has Israel. Egypt has had just as tight a closed border with Gaza as has Israel and in some ways an even tighter closure as no aid reaches Gaza in any manner, let alone comparable to the multiple tonnage crossing daily into Gaza, daily even during the entirety of the Gaza War Operation Protective Edge last summer. Egypt has had better effectiveness in finding and closing tunnels under their border with Gaza which are used to smuggle things in and out of Gaza as has Israel in locating the infiltration tunnels which caused such a stir as the IDF had appeared completely surprised by the extensive tunnel system Hamas had been planning to utilize in a massive operation against the Israelis during the High Holy Days last year. Keeping the borders controlled has been a primary effort of both Egypt and Israel as both have suffered threats from within Gaza with the Egyptian threats having often been estimated and paid in lives for any missed tunnels by the Egyptians often lead to infiltrations into the Sinai Peninsula in the form of manpower and also weaponry and explosives for the design of car and truck bombs, IEDs (improvised explosive device used in place of land mines) and other explosive delivery methods and systems which are as varied in kind as they do in their delivery. The reality has been that Hamas, Islamic Jihad and numerous other terrorist groups have just as much hate for the Sisi government as they do towards Israel.

 

With ISIS moving into the Sinai Peninsula one has to wonder what there objective may be. Thus far there has been little to no change across the Negev-Sinai border and there have been the usual ramping up of terrorist strikes which accompany summer but surprisingly much of that can be attributed to problems in Judea and Samaria. What has been somewhat disconcerting has been the increase in attacks in Judea and Samaria claimed to have been attributable to Hamas and Islamic Jihad. The one item which had been surprising which this assault upon the Egyptian forces and the particulars have put to rest were the dire warnings that there was a definitive expectation for a war in Gaza waged by ISIS against Hamas and potentially Islamic Jihad. Something about the threat has seemed strange, especially the ISIS against Hamas warnings as in so many ways Hamas and ISIS appear to be natural allies. The only thing which made sense about these threats was they were disinformation though the target escaped reason, well, until now. The intended target of ISIS being out to overthrow Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood was more about throwing off any investigation by the Egyptians into the validity of these claims and the simple overlooking of things being exactly the opposite. The three have been cooperating and this past week the blood soaked reality came crashing home with all the signals coming together all at one time putting to lie the ISIS against Hamas false flag arguments. The similarities between Hamas and ISIS has been a major part in the explanation by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as early as last summer when explaining why it had been paramount that Operation Protective Edge be fought with much the same ferocity which had been reserved thus far for only ISIS by Western interests. But even back then there had appeared to Israeli sources of intelligence that Hamas and ISIS were natural allies which is why more efforts had been expelled into drawing out and eliminating ISIS cells in Judea and Samaria than in Gaza.

 

Apparently Israel had best ramp up their surveillance in seeking out and destroying ISIS cells in Judea and Samaria as they could easily be precursors to Hamas making their new move to replace the current Fatah centered Arab Palestinian Authority with one which places Hamas and ISIS to enter into Judea and Samaria replacing Fatah and Mahmoud Abbas. This was the expected move which may have found Hamas and ISIS working together to gain additional leverage against Israel by taking over the entirety of the Arab Palestinian Authority, something that with Hamas would have already occurred had Abbas ever permitted the Arabs in Judea and Samaria to be able to vote for their own government, something Abbas has been refusing to allow knowing full well that as soon as elections were held that he would fall from power. Apparently the threats of an ISIS-Hamas war in Gaza worked if its intention was allowing the two to have close cooperation setting up this assault on Egypt. Perhaps this is the main event of this coming summer, an alliance which will have Gaza spread its tentacles and wrest power from Abbas giving it to Haniyeh, the former Prime Minister in Gaza before resigning last year to permit the formation of a unity government. Hamas leader Haniyeh knew he was risking nothing despite appearances to the contrary. The ruse was an effort to try to force Abbas to finally allow Arab elections across Gaza, Judea and Samaria. The effort failed to materialize and perhaps the one unknown may have been the undoing of the carefully laid out, years in the making, plan. This unknown was the extent in which ISIS had infiltrated into the Arab Palestinian society. What made knowing this impossible was the fact that there could have been untold numbers of disenchanted Arab Palestinians tired of never being allowed the vote over who controlled their governance. This could have produced fertile growing lands for the ISIS message of rules as written in the Quran. Life by the structures dictated in the Quran might have appealed except many in Judea and Samaria did not desire something more along the lines of a Constitution that would have permitted the enshrining of modern rights and society. Sharia was not what many Arab Palestinians desire as they have witnessed how the Israeli society has produced people very happy with their lives and their society despite the threats of terrorism. They see a people who are slowly but inexorably moving to realize the advantages of a religious life but also realizing that religious life must not be imposed by government and that the only control the religion should have on the governance are the Biblical limitations through which government is prevented from enriching those in its service and that government must serve the people it is in the end responsible to care for. Government cares for the people, and the people do not need to be made subservient in any manner to their government and this is best realized by assuring that there never comes a ruling elite who have usurped unto themselves through government or economic means the ability to enslave the people. The people are what are to be kept as noble and government should act noble but never be permitted to become nobles. This is why Sharia will always be an impossible sell to those who have known true freedom and liberty. The fact that many of the older Palestinians who remember freedom and elections having meaning who will be the saviors of the Arab Palestinian society providing they step forward in the short term and teach their society the beauty of living and celebrating life and not the opposite of existing in order to die with how one dies defines how they lived. One’s life must define ones death and by that we mean the tributes and loving memories they leave the world with after living and inspiring others by their lives. When a society starts to define one’s life by how they die prematurely and before their time then there is a society which serves Ba’al and has reinstituted child sacrifice, for what else can one call a society which reveres a child because they went out to serve their society and their god by an act of suicide, and even worse, a suicide which attempted to take as many who were full of life and living the best they were able as their victims in their sacrifice. Life is already too short; making one’s life tragically shorter is just that, a tragedy. A society that reveres those who chase death is a society doomed to destroy the very future it claims to promise. The slogan which must be at the bedrock of a society is to choose life, in all things and all ways choose life and use that life to help everyone else choose life and live a life which celebrates life.
