Freedom of the Media was and is an Illusion

 

Freedom of the Media, the Press, was intended to mean that the media was allowed to take position opposing those in power. With President-elect Trump we have a complete rebirth of freedom in Media as the leftist media has been permitted total freedom in denouncing, condemning, delegitimizing and casting overt dispersion in such rapidity that the Maxim machine gun is jealous of their repetition rate against all items Trump. The only threat the American, and its twin of the European media and much of the western and developed world’s media, is facing is that largely, with few notable exception, is pure leftist progressive slant where anything which is not in line with their politically correct, censored, straight-jacket narrow view of the world is denounced as demonic, evil, Nazi-esque and potentially leading to censorship closing down all opposing views of the right wing. The media and their vociferous echo chamber of NGO’s, political advocates, full array of supportive leftist and progressive alternative media, and various leftist lobbyists all standing together making as much racket as the world might stand. That is one of the precious secrets of the Progressive leftists, they are all for one and one for all even more so than the Three Musketeers. This becomes evident in the one area where the left progressives have mastered something that the other end of the political spectrum has yet to even consider, let alone adopt.

 

Watch any demonstration for any leftist Progressive cause and you will soon understand how they get hundreds or more at every demonstration, universal representation. Go to an ecology rally against perhaps coal powered electricity plant in your city and there will be all sorts of ecology demonstrators including anti-nuclear power, pro-wind power, save the whales, clean our rivers, save the oceans, clean air and any other ecology cause imaginable. But that is not all. There will likely be others there who support other causes and are not particularly worked up about the ecology of the Earth and more concerned with the pro-choice, anti-death penalty, anti-racism, and even pro-Palestinian or BDS or other anti-Zionist, anti-Israel movements all there for one reason, the leftist you scratch my cause I’ll scratch your cause. Often at a demonstration for some cause there will be protest signs for other causes within the demonstration because if you protest one leftist Progressive cause, you are there representing all leftist progressive causes. And the mainstream will give favorable coverage with inflated numbers of protesters and enthusiasm and will take their pictures selectively attempting to only get the right standards despite others also on prominent display. Many will accuse me and ask how it is I know this. Well, once upon a time many years ago I was one of those liberals back when being a liberal meant keep the government out of my life, respect for all people, equality for all, live and let live, and, believe it or not, gun rights was not an automatic exclusion from the club. To be honest, the one cause which had tepid support was gun rights, but at least in those days it was not a cause which caused one to be disassociate and shunned.

 

Back then one went to every protest just as is the means today. There were people who would pay people to attend protests which were considered vital. These were often the protests against particular politicians or counter rallies to out shadow any right wing causes by having greater numbers at the counter rally thus making the coverage all about the liberal progressive cause which opposed the scheduled protest. Often the counter protest did not have any license or permit and actually be technically illegal but they were seldom forced to disperse and were given much freedom. The exception were the anti-war demonstrations which the government took a dim view and would use violent force to break up such demonstrations. This was back in the late 1960s and into the 1970s and with the times the position of the establishment changed as the left took command during the Administration and Presidency of Jimmy Carter. That was a turning point as from that point on the left progressive tours de force began a simple tactic, the just ignore everything between progressive majorities and just pick up right where the last front left off. This made for a force which became all but an inevitability which could never be opposed by anything the conservatives could establish.

 

This became evident when President Jimmy Carter simply picked up where President Lyndon Baines Johnson left off with the Great Society, affirmative action, wealth redistribution, ecology restrictions on industry through emissions and every other leftist progressive cause. Then there was a break for a dozen years of the Reagan and George H. W. Bush Presidencies. Then came President William Jefferson Clinton who continued expanding the progressive cause and then came another Republican, President George W. Bush, who was not so much a counter to the progressive causes than a slightly different approach in establishing big government programs which the “No Child Left Behind” program. This brought on the yet another rendition of ‘new math,’ ‘full word recognition’ and stressing minority contributions from the past replacing history with little mention of any contributions from white males and especially Judeo-Christian ethics and instead an anti-ethical education which removed any standard history of the United States and other Western histories which when mentioned it received condemnations of how it was exclusive not as meaning something exemplary but rather as racist, prejudiced and intolerant. Any traditional history was belittled and condemned by using modern day morality and equal rights viewpoints making everything from the past appear hateful and vengeful being racist, prejudiced and xenophobic. Making normative history where Christian, white male formed history such as the Founding Fathers were cast as hateful slave owners and thus not ethical or acceptable because such was unacceptable in these modern times and the European greats such as Da Vinci, Michael Angelo, Isaac Newton, Galileo and others were also intolerant, supremacist, racist, sexist and likely homophobic or full of other forms of hateful white supremacist views which would be condemned in today’s world. This version of history left much of traditional history untaught or presented as something to be rejected and spurned as horrible examples of a hateful past.

 

 

Some of such views are being presented in the media where past events are presented under a modern viewpoint and leftist microscope where anything which was acceptable back in history becomes unacceptable and regrettable as it fails to measure up to the modern ethos and leftist yardstick which was unheard of and did not exist when the history occurred. This method was designed and makes children ashamed of their past history and thus leaves them unattached to their past and because of their being separated and unanchored their views can be molded in such a manner as to overturn their ethics and allows them to be made to accept anything as one who has no past can be given any defined future. This is an actual method for disconnecting children from their parents, their history, their religious affiliations and anything which might define them as a continuation of their actual society and are instead given an entire redefined ethos which has nothing connected to their history and disconnecting them from parents and everything which would allow for a continuation of history and a continuation of the historic societal models. This is reinforced by the mainstream media which works using the identical redefined ethical framework leaving a youth which when they take the reins of power, they will start a society completely detached from past realities and all of history. The casting of all former history as evil and ruinous and without any worth was beautifully exemplified by President Obama when he returned the bust of Sir Winston Churchill as he refused to retain the visage of a colonialist, racist, evil, hateful individual and not the man who saved the world from Nazi Germany’s world conquest. This is indicative of the new morality that the mainstream media and education which are both completely under the thumb of the progressive, leftist rewriters of all history and religious anchors in order to create a brave new world where for all intents and purposes they could teach children that 2 + 2 = 5 as truth and the children would have no anchoring to know it was a lie. Thus is the prospect for the future in Europe, the United States and the remainder of western society, culture and the developed world should it remain under the sway of the progressive leftists whose remaking of society has actually been in progress under even the ‘conservative’ politicians since Theodore Roosevelt and shifted into high gear by Woodrow Wilson and accelerated by Franklin Delano Roosevelt (yes, a relative of Theodore) and moved along even faster by Lyndon Banes Johnson and the line held by Jimmy Carter and slight advancement by William Jefferson Clinton and George W. Bush and then taken airborne and breaking virtually every barrier by Barack Hussein Obama with the future remaining to be seen. The main reason for the apoplectic fits and near convulsive contortions by progressive leftists over the election of Donald Trump is they fear those who hold their religion as holy, their ethics as cemented in a tradition worth preservation, their history as ethical and who desire moderation in progress where changes are evaluated over time, instead of great leaps being taken blindly without looking back and burning all the bridges and even the castles and fields behind them assuring there is no chance of retrieving any morsel from our collective past as they are ashamed of their Judeo-Christian history despite it having been the basis for many positive developments.

 

They refuse to credit the Judeo-Christian ethics with the end of slavery instead blaming it for slavery, bringing about the Renaissance instead dwelling instead on earlier Church anti-science standings ignoring the truth that things changed and the fact that many of those precious progressive ideas they hold as sacred have their roots in the Judeo-Christian ethos that people are all equal in the eyes of Hashem and instead teach that religion was all about exalting white, male Christian superiority and all the evils which can be appropriated to such a viewpoint. The fact that history has been a progression of events and evolutions caused often by the very past which originally opposed change but with time softened and became champions of the progressive changes in society. The reason for the new view demonizing the past of the youths’ parents and ancestors and pressing that all their views which are actually the logical result of the Judeo-Christian ethics, they want to disposes the past and make the youth divorce their history and thus be pliable and moldable into whatever the latest untested theories for society the progressives can invent. Where this will lead is to an entire unanchored generation which will fall before any anchored group which has a strong history and religious anchoring who are willing to fight for their beliefs. These types will rule the day simply because, as the old adage goes by G.K. Chesterton (we realize that anything old, especially adages, is unacceptable and makes any argument unacceptable but tough), “When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing, they then become capable of believing in anything.” This probably states why the progressives work so hard to disconnect the youth from their past.

Why the European Union Will Die

 

After our Brexit article some inquired why we claimed the European Union would die, or more aptly, implode, as we had stated at one point. A few expressly pointed to the fact that there were signs of economic recovery and that the steps taken by the European Union were working to bring the troubled nations, especially Spain and Italy, back from the brink. While it would be quite a blessing should the European Union make a recovery of unparalleled dimensions resembling the great periods of the post-World War II era but the likelihood is slender as there is not about to be another Marshall Plan as the United States too is facing lean years and will be working on their own recovery for the immediate future. The challenges to the Western World are mounting and if not addressed and some mitigation found the refugees flowing into Europe and North America on top of the brutal effects the refugees are placing on Turkey and more so on Jordan threaten to topple leaders as the strains on the economies will be extensive.

 

The challenge for Europeans as well as Turkey and Jordan will be to alter the manner in which they treat refugees and those who come from foreign extraction and to integrate them into their society rather than all but forcing them to live in autonomous zones separate and anything but equal. The French produced a 2,200-page report, “Banlieue de la République.” The report had numerous suggestions and goals which could be enacted which might alleviate some of the difficulties but are unlikely to see the light of day. The challenges listed in the French report can easily be applied to the other nations, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Finland, Britain and other nations will be a test of whether Europe can adapt and commit to integrating those who are unlike the native population as unless the Muslims are integrated and have opportunities the probability of rioting and radicalization rises. We are not equating lack of work and the other poverty and similar tags which have often been blamed for terrorism as not even claiming that their frustration and lack of address of grievances by government will produce terrorism, we are identifying such as a drain on the finances and budgetary balancing will be a factor which may tip the scales from an affordable situation to a destabilizing financial drain. Such situations can also be exploited leading to rioting and lawlessness. The same is true for Turkey and Jordan as their economies are not so vigorous such that they can integrate the thousands upon thousands of refugees which are streaming across their borders. Jordan has the added problem of refugees streaming in from Iraq as well. Even Israel is feeling some financial effects as she is called upon increasingly to provide medical treatment both for refugees as well as injured fighters from the various factions in the Syrian war zones, many of which are bordering the Israeli Golan Heights which makes Israel the best place to get emergency treatments. 

 

What will come about is the death of the European Union as a super-governance or providing a standard currency and economic plans as it has been the disparate rules and economic plans which are not universal which has caused much of the problems. With the work week standard being a 40 hour week we find that those who do work from national average to another are surprising in the numbers we were able to find from 2013 with Greece leading at 42.0 and the Netherlands with a mere 30.0 (see below).

The next important, actually vital, statistic is the unemployment rate by nation. We found records for 2014 and 2015 graphed (see below) where the lowest recorded at 5% for Austria followed closely by Germany and with Greece and Spain hovering at about 25%. During our researching we found that Youth unemployment usually ran from half again to around double the figures for population in total.

Another measure of the health of an economy is the debt to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), a measurement where the lower the percentage the healthier the national economy. The percentages range from Sweden at 38% all the way to Greece at 157%. (see below) The one regularity which one has seen consistently was that Greece and Spain are at the end of the figures which are least desirable and Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the Scandinavian nations tend to be the most desirable positions which also explains why these nations rated amongst the happiest of nations in Europe. The main rational behind these numerous graphs and statistics was to generate the vast disparity between many of the European Union nations and to point out why the sharing of a singular currency, the Euro, places strains and limitations on the necessary monetary policies each individual nation has at their disposal as well as economic policy restrictions. For those at the disadvantaged end of the scales their not having their own adjustable currency means that they must make allowances in policies to the largest economic powers as they drive the European Union’s viability but while doing so they imperil the lesser economies.

The difficulties the European Union is facing goes beyond the individual national monetary and fiscal policies and the single currency enforcing economic policies of the strongest power nations upon the least national economies thus perpetuating their difficulty and in most cases condemning them to deficit spending and an ever rising debt load with little if any recourse. The financial difficulties are aggravated further by the bureaucracy in Brussels which continues to grow and demand more and more treasure be skimmed from the economy of the entirety of the European Union nations. This results in an ever more drastic effect upon the economically weaker nations sending their finances ever further into the red. The European Union regulation are simply one more drain on every economy throughout the European Union and once more the effect is disproportionally more dramatic on the weakest once again. When one observes the growth of the European Union Legislation and Legal Action Surge one starts to realize exactly where and why the European Union will eventually legislate itself out of existence.

The vote next month will tell the story and will very likely be the last chance for the Western World to finally start to turn away from socialism and its guaranteed outcomes instead of simply providing a guaranteed equality of opportunity and a level playing field. Initially when the precursor of the European Union started, the European Common Market, it worked well as it basically created a low or no tariff zone within Europe for its member states. By the time it had grown and transited into the European Union it was already showing signs of becoming a super governance which was obviously heading to becoming the central power over the entirety of Europe. This was made all the worse by the fact that many of those in positions of influence and power were unelected individuals who need not report to any individual nation as they were employed to look out for the European Union and not babysit or hold the hand of any one country. From this humble beginning the European Union began to write large edicts. Many were about certain levels of pollutants one might put into the air, water or ground and also writing the procedures for handling and disposing of poisonous chemicals. Many of these regulations were quite important such as where to store spent nuclear fuel rods safely. The European Union also set standards for each nation on pollution control due to agreements entered into either by the nations or the European Union. Soon the European Union has become a super government which rules in a dictatorial manner with the individual European nations being incapable of altering their relations once a decision has come down from on high in Brussels.

 

This is part of what has galled many British voters and it is only the youth who have graduated within the past decade and probably left university knowing less than they went in but are now assured that they know everything and it will be their charge to come out and teach those out in the workforce what is the only approved manner of performing any work. They will expound regularly the complaints about income inequality and how it is not fair that older people receive higher salaries just because they have proven their ability, which, they will tell us, is a form of ageism except this particular time it is the youth at a disadvantage. Once the youth of today become a majority, be prepared for their instruction in college to come to the fore in our society and Capitalism will disappear and Socialism will become the new perfection of society and our national problems. They will address the income inequality by setting a maximum wage one will be permitted. Let us assume we have two people, one making 35,000 Euro per year and another making 250,000 Euro per year. Without even addressing how these two individuals came to be making such different amounts but will defer to the one making the higher wage and simple make the difference far less. Their newly adjusted salaries after the equality of worth standings are applied result in the first gentleman going from making 35,000 Euros per year to making 95,000 Euros per year and the gentleman who once made 250,000 Euros per year will now be making 135,000 Euros per year leaving the government with 55,000 Euros in redistribution fees. This will be the future when the youth get to make all the decisions across Europe and then slowly the rest of the Western World. Between an economy teetering on the point of exasperation and a flooding of refugees who are largely seeking the government relief and expecting the government to feed, clothe and house them and pay them salaries as they were told was their right upon arrival. The refugees seeking such as this will be the lesser of the problems as there are those who upon arrival disappeared into the woodwork and have yet to be found and it is these individuals who are most likely terrorists planted within the midst of the Europeans and the Americans and Western nations as ticking time bombs primed and ready to detonate at a moment’s notice.

Paris, France was the scene of a horrific terrorist assaults which targeted people at various locations and disparate functions murdering at least one-hundred-thirty people and wounded over three-hundred more some of which still in questionable serious condition. Almost immediately world leaders met in the French Capital for a climate change convention. Many national leaders, President Obama amongst them, when queried as to what is the greatest challenge facing the world was answered that it was climate change which may cause coastal area flooding as well as stronger, more severe and increased number of such storms. President Obama was amongst those who refused to mention the horrific assault on Parisians by Islamic State terror operatives. Such a response simply boggles one’s mind that the attacks did not even warrant a mention as if the planet was on the brink of disaster from Global Climate Change.

 

Here is what we do know. First is that climate does indeed change naturally as we had snowball earth as well as a number of ice ages and a year without a summer after the eruption of a volcano in Indonesia. We know that the resultant changes in the climate are based on models and these models are considered accurate in their prediction of the weather at the end of the century despite models made by the same brilliant minds cannot tell me if it will be raining next Sunday or will it be conducive for a large family picnic. We know that government monies are only available for researchers’ efforts who believe that global climate change is a real and immediate problem. Further, if one can also place the blame for these changes on mankind and prove it is Anthropomorphic Climate Change without using those models which have been proven to start with the desired result and then working their way back to where we are now to grow their formula, then some might take their arguments seriously instead of relegating them to the junk science producing the predictable result demanded by the government paying for that desired result. Despite this effort to push Anthropomorphic Climate Change there are a fair number of scientists who claim that they cannot predict with complete certainty the actual effects of climate change but can most assuredly claim and prove that it is not caused by mankind and that the amount of so-called human influence is negligible and that the entirety of climate change scare is just that, a scare tactic to have the people give over to government control over much of our lives. They see Anthropomorphic Climate Change as simply a route to new laws and restriction on personal freedom of our lives such as how far from our work we are permitted to reside, carbon taxes, carbon credits which are given the less advanced nations to use when getting more wealthy nations to provide them with monies for these credits which can then in turn give the poorer nations to develop clean energy systems. In all honesty, Anthropomorphic Climate Change is a redistribution scheme dressed up in a pretty package developed by climate change proponents and those naysayers are just against poorer nations and want them to only produce carbon based fuels. When this is their argument the redistribution of wealth becomes absolutely evidenced leaving no room for other arguments.

Meanwhile there was a shocking assault upon the people of Paris, France by the Islamic State (previously known as IS, ISIL, ISIS) and we are informed that there will be further such operations as the opportunities present themselves. Further, Israel is once again experiencing a wave of knife attacks, vehicular homicides, shootings and fire-bombings. There were at least two attacks in the past twenty-four hours, and this probably holds true for whenever you are reading this article as it was when it was written. There has been another curious series of events concerning the coverage these assaults have received. There are a number of separate results of these assaults, the person assaulted dies, multiple people are attacked with differing injuries from light and treated at scene to those pronounced dead at the scene and all various categories admitted to hospitals. Then there are three other broader categories. Attacker succeeds in their attack and escapes. The attacker is caught likely with non-life threatening injuries. Interestingly enough these two varieties of attacks meet with almost no coverage in media coverage outside Israel. Then there is the final type which is where the attack is carried out and the terrorist is killed or severely injured and fears are the terrorist might not survive. There was this news story titled “Two Palestinians killed during new stabbing attacks”. Then there was the original CNN headline, “Palestinians shot boarding kids’ bus” since changed to “Armed Palestinians shot after trying to board bus with children on board.” Such misleading coverage is not accidental but rather slanted against Israel and is not limited to CNN or the New York Times.

 

We were given a glimpse of the world for those select few who are members of the White House Press Club when Helen Thomas was interviewed by a Rabbi, she was told he wanted to record the top stories about the Presidential media to get a feel for the moods and views for his writings when asked about the Middle East when she responded curtly that the Jews should, “get the hell out of Palestine and return and go home to Germany, Poland or the United States.” Many claimed this was the ugliest side of Helen Thomas they had ever seen. Those comments cost her the position she had on the White House Press Corps, awards both that she had been expected to receive or had been named after her all had to be reassessed, renamed, or find a new presenter. Now it is starting to appear that major newspaper editorial boards and network news programs have started to support the blame Israel as the problem and if only there were no Jewish State then there would be no senseless violence and peace would cover the area like a blanket of warm fuzzes. Anybody honestly believing that the troubles in Syria and surrounding nations in the MENA area exist due to Israel, they need to have a reality check and if they still do not see a problem of blaming everything on Israel they should be granted government paid for mental assistance. Any glimpse into the Middle East which includes North Africa (thus MENA) finds unlimited and open warfare in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Nigeria, Kenya, Turkey with the Kurds, and others with terrorism a threat everywhere.

Blaming Israel for the major breakouts, which are plainly other national struggles often the result of the Shiite/Sunni divide which pits Iran and Syria against the majority of the rest the Muslim nations, is plainly as ludicrous as it is bald-faced lies. The disingenuous accusations targeting Israel largely pushed by Secretary of State Kerry when claiming that the Hebdo and Hyper Cachet kosher market were understandable and these latest murders are not is a frightening revelation. With such lost credibility Secretary Kerry should be removed from the efforts to pound a solution out of Israel while allowing the Palestinians claim any evil they wish on Israel and allow them to remain as the final word is sheer hypocrisy. Secretary Kerry was not the sole person to differentiate between the broad strike and January’s more targeted strike. Interviews of Parisians in the aftermath of the November 13, 2015, terror attacks noted the stark difference that this time those killed by Islamist terrorists weren’t just Jews or provocative cartoonists. Quite a number of those interviewed when asked about the Charlie Hebdo or Hyper Casher attack compared to the Friday November 13, 2015 attacks were insistent that after the Charlie Hebdo or Hyper Casher they did not feel a sense of threat or danger to themselves. Many expressed it as, ‘Those were simply attacks on cartoonists who went too far and insulted Mohammad and the Hyper Cacher is a kosher market so it could be expected for those people to be struck by terrorists, but there was no reason before the 13th of November to feel that terrorism would strike any closer to home as we were not crazed cartoonists nor were we Jews.’ Hypocrisy such as this should signal to the Jews of Paris if not France and France if not Western Europe and Eastern Europe if not all of Europe or perhaps the world over this may be the clarion call telling you that there is nowhere on this earth where people will not blame you for any terror strike on your neighborhoods and excuse such attacks as they did not involve normal people, only Jews. The average people the world over are once again drawing a line between what happens to them and those same things happening to the Jews. They write off those assaults and other degradations and dangers which happen to Jews are acceptable because the Jews somehow deserve all that befalls them while attacks upon them are completely unjustifiable. The old adage of society good, Jew evil, society innocent and thus clean of sin, Jews somehow guilty and full of sins which is why they deserve scorn and death and as long as you attack Jews there will be deserved.

My coming to Israel was decided when I was nine and made myself two promises, to care for my parents until they no longer needed assistance or was released from that promise and then make Aliyah. These remained dormant in the back of my mind until the death of my little sister and then the final decision came when I was released from the former predicating task and my move to Israel was the only thing I could think of accomplishing, and here I am, in Israel. Hashem in Torah spoke of the three exiles, the first was Egypt, the second Babylonian and the final one the Jewish People were to be cast throughout the lands of Earth such that they were in every culture and from there Hashem promised to drag them all home to Israel. This miracle was to occur as either the Jewish People became very much religious and Zionist or they were to be assimilated such that they would be indistinguishable from their neighbors as in much the United States. The crazy thing is Jewish sages always claimed that it would be one or the other but there are more Jews following the religious demands than ever in history and there is a large number of Jews assimilated and seemingly completely immersed in the culture of the nation where they reside. But anti-Israel then included with it anti-Zionism and we are witnessing the onslaught of the final and unavoidable end, the anti-Semitism, full-fledged and overt anti-Semitism reaching slowly but inexorably across Europe and beginning to take root in the United States.
