Iran Deal Delivers Donations for Disaster in Death

 

The one-hundred-fifty-billion dollars of unfrozen funds which will near instantly over-fill the coffers beyond their capacity and even beyond Iran’s wildest imaginations. Oil and pistachio sales will assist in keeping those coffers healthy with a steady influx of monies. Proof of the extents to which this sudden wealth has provided Iran becomes obvious with the sales of arms made viable to Iran even before the ink dried on the papers. The set of sales, when taken at their entirety, reveals that Iran has just purchased the equivalence of an entire Air Force minus pilots. This set of deals comes replete with one-hundred tanker aerial refueling aircraft, one-hundred-fifty sophisticated air-combat jet fighters with Israeli avionics and finally the two-hundred-fifty highly-advanced heavy-fighter-bombers already set for delivery to Iran by Russia and China. Yemen, Iraq, Syria and Iran herself will suffer from the results of this deal. All the predictions of gloom and doom are purported to be in this deal come from the publically released deal. As horrific as the realities of the publically declared sections of this deal have proven to be as their ramifications are flushed out and deciphered may be, these predicted disasters are simply the results of the publically released Iran Nuclear Agreement 7/14/2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, yet there exists another wholly secreted away part of the Iranian deal made without Secretary of State Kerry’s knowledge or participation and has been secreted from review yet will be put into enforcement simply as a result of the signatures placed on the publically revealed deal. How many more disastrous consequences will come into review as our focus becomes fixated on the inferences, implications and machinations resultant on the secreted deal which for all we know will include as yet undetermined and yet to be decided terms left to be fulfilled as the needs arise and simply left to Iran or the IAEA to make future decisions independent of review. If we are to be honest, the reality is that we have absolutely no idea of exactly the deal made with Iran defines and what restrictions on inspections or implications which make even developing nuclear weapons immediately and while remaining a member of the NPT (Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons) as the secret deal might even permit Iran to have their determination altered and defined as a Recognized Nuclear Weapon State Acceders, with equal or potentially superior rights to China or France, within the framework of the NPT definitions pertaining to nuclear powers.

 

The reality is that the revealed and awful deal we and even the members of Congress, the Ambassadors of the nations in the Security Council of the United Nations, the other sitting members of the P5+1, and even the negotiating team from the United States including the Secretary of State, very likely the State Department and everybody other than the selected leadership of Iran and whoever was the negotiator of the secret treaty and a remote possibility President Obama actually know what is included in the super-secret deal made with Iran. Now for our little bit of conjecture; this editorialist, if forced to make a guess, suspects that United States Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power, Presidential Security Advisor Susan Rice and Special Advisor to the President Valerie Jarrett whose assistance in such matters is unmeasurable as she was Iran born and speaks Farsi and thus may be the only people from the United States Administration of President Obama and only person outside of Iran and the top members of the IAEA, if even them, who knows what was included in what we suspect is a massive giveaway super-secret agreement with Iran which will remain concealed with portions becoming known as their results are felt. Beyond altering the standings of Iran pertaining to the NPT there is likely little which could have further reaching ramifications, but that prediction too is made while in complete ignorance of the actual terms which are hidden within this ancillary section of the treaty which the world is discussing despite the unknowns of the hidden agendas and stipulations. It is entirely possible that the secretive parts of the agreement actually nullify the publically released portions and that the only knowledge Secretary of State Kerry has about the treaty equals yours or mine. The briefing that Secretary Kerry received may have been simply telling him he would be better off not knowing and that he had no determined need and that for security reasons he was not to be trusted with such knowledge and Secretary Kerry would interpret that as being an in depth discussion of the secret treaty of which he knows little to nothing.

In all honesty, the unknown and concealed dealings between some Administration official or team who have President Obama’s complete trust, some official or officials from the IAEA and the Iranian leadership reached and somehow is tied to and included in its entirety to the P5+1, Iran deal thus receiving ratification alongside the P5+1, Iran nuclear agreement. All of this is performed despite being without any discussion except for those discussions before the United States Senate where its secrecy and existence were stated, and nothing more, with Presidential Security Advisor Susan Rice, who testified to have read, if not assisted in shaping, and Secretary Kerry, who claims he has been told of its existence and has been briefed but is either unable or unwilling to share his extent of knowledge on the secret agreement. The concept of secretive agreements in which most of either government and next to none of the nations’ peoples have any knowledge or are thought to even have the need to know or right to know is anything but an original concept. This situation was the norm in all the history of nations where the people even having rights without title was also unknown until quite recent times. Most of the world today lives under governments which operate in just this manner and it is appearing that none exist where such is not the case.

 

What sets the United States apart is that the people have the right to insist to be included and be knowledgeable of all the workings which take place within the government with the exception of those limited items deemed so sensitive that the people may be kept in the dark for the time being but even those items come into the light eventually. What may be found distressing is that the United States, the supposed bastion of freedom and citizens’ rights has slowly but inexorably been sliding down that slippery slope to the bottom where all the dealings of the government beyond the dictates of laws imposed on the people are kept in secret as the people are deemed of such limited capabilities that they are better off allowing their bettors, those in the government and working as enforcement officers for the government to run things and take care of the weighty issues that the government and only the government is permitted to be privileged. Should this be continued to progress and the United States fall into the darkness of tyrannical governance, then what hope does the rest of the world have where tyrannical governance has been the norm for as long as history had been written and before? There is one simple reason such a state of affairs takes hold of governance, and that is size of government. Apparently when any government reaches a certain size it then expands its scope and domain, often at the expense of lower decentralized governances such as the individual states of the United States. As the central government grows and assumes more and more powers the state, municipal, and local governments suffer and eventually become enforcers for the central government and nothing more. This is where the every size fits all governance becomes the norm and anybody who has resided in one of the major metropolises such as Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas or the others and also lived in a small, and I do mean small town such as Paw Paw, Mich; Emmetsburg, MD; Loveland, Colo; or any of the hundreds of thousands spread blanketing the United States knows, one size never works well in the smallest of places where some of the best and nicest people live and where most people actually know their neighbors. We can only hope that the flame which when it shines brightest allows the individual person to have rights and the government to be at their beck-and-call and never looming over the ‘little people’ as in a true and good governance there are no little people, only little government, as little as proves to be absolutely necessary. Nowhere has such existed successfully where there are sufficient people spread over an area such that they know not those who run their governance and many have become so dejected and separated from their governance and believe it to be beyond any real and actual control that they do not participate or care who their representatives may be. There were stipulations in the original government set up by the constitution of the United States which need being returned as with this modern age such is actually and finally doable and perhaps such could be an article coming to you soon right here at Beyond the Cusp. President Obama, Israel, and the Threat Dilemma

 

There is a situation developing which either President Obama has not been informed or really desires to destroy Israel and gift all the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea for the forming of an Arab state of Palestine completely erasing the State of Israel and very probably leading to the mass slaughter of the over Six Million Jews living in Israel along with probably most of the Baha’I, Christians and other non-Muslim Israelis and who knows even about many of the Muslims who may not meet the criteria for being a follower of Mohammad and Islam should Abbas apply some standard or tests killing all who fail to measure up. Once again this week President Obama renewed his threat during an interview given to an Israel news outlet that should Prime Minister Netanyahu not enter into renewed negotiations with the Palestinians that the United States would be hard pressed to support Israel in the United Nations Security Council should a resolution be presented concerning the situation with the Palestinians legitimate rights to a state with the 1967 lines, actually the 1949 Armistice Lines which the Arab League demanded never be considered or applied to becoming a border for any entity, especially Israel thus leaving Israel without an actual legally recognized border along the Green Line thus technically making it ineligible for statehood. This was the umpteenth time that President Obama has communicated this threat publically and who knows how many times he has demanded the negotiations reconvene or else to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and other members of the coalition and likely the opposition members as well. President Obama is sounding like a broken record (which refers to this vinyl disk which was the CD of its era, perhaps CD is a bad reference as they too are so dated already but we need a playable reference and not a memory stick with speakers, and the record would hit the damaged groove and jump back one or more grooves and keep skipping back repeating the same part ad nauseum) stuck on repeating that threat to the point that he might actually mean this red line as compared to his Syria red line. But there is a problem also of President Obama’s making he appears to be ignoring and likely intentionally.

 

This little snag is that there is no willing partner with whom for Prime Minister Netanyahu to negotiate. Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority refuses to permit negotiations on any borders or other potential demands and situations which stand in the way of Abbas making peace with Israel, namely the existence of Israel as you will soon realize. Abbas and all the other members of the supposed supportive ruling structures of governance for the Arabs denizens of Judea and Samaria residing in Area A and parts of Area B, with Area C presumably under Israeli sovereignty and thus beyond Arab rule by the terms of the Oslo Accords and the Roadmap for Peace (a restating of the Oslo Accords which additionally allowed for certain guarantees for Israel to retain many of the recognized Israeli settlement cities and blocks which were established, guaranteed by President Bush and his administration which was given Israel in a letter of intentions and refined definitions of terms, in exchange for Israel turning over Gaza to the Arab Palestinian Authority, of which Mahmoud Abbas is its Chairman, in order for the Palestinian Authority to be allowed to show the world their intent and ability to reside in peace with Israel and build a functional society within Gaza which would lead to the turning over of Judea and Samaria except for the recognized areas defined in the letter of intent which restated the inferences in the document of the Roadmap which set the standard for areas beyond Area A and Area B being turned over to Arab control in Judea and Samaria and East Jerusalem. The problem is that the Roadmap demanded that the Arabs demonstrate their leadership and ability to govern and live peaceably with the Israeli neighbors. Abbas and company almost from day one had a small problem, they really had no control over Gaza as the people of Gaza did not desire for Abbas to be in charge and stealing the majority of the funding that was supposed to be used for their betterment and the building of infrastructure and upkeep and all those other pesky and annoying items which is a part of leadership. This led to the expelling in disgrace the United States trained Arab Palestinian Authority Security Forces, an actual small army, replacing them with the peoples chosen leaders, Hamas the terrorist entity. So the demonstration on how Abbas would rule Gaza or any other area was to be thrown out unceremoniously and replaced with a terrorist group, namely Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Europe has slowly but surely taken a rather expected route for a continent mostly ruled by weasels of which the worst of the bunch are at the top in the European Union. The path taken by these illustrious genuflectors to anything anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and moving rapidly to including anti-Semitic was to remove Hamas, or at least try to but have to retreat due to the cries of protest which are beginning to wane and retreat as they adjust to the idea that there are no real terrorist groups, just many misunderstood bomb-makers and assassins, and soon Hamas will be cleared of accusations of terror activity and accepted as a ruling body in Gaza.

 

Now we reach the little problem, the burr the size of Texas under the saddle. Mahmoud Abbas and supporting kleptomaniacs have decided that they will demand the same exact demand put forth originally by none other than President Obama during his first year in office when he demanded that the 1967 lines be the actual border for any Arab State and that negotiations should begin on this idea. Abbas has taken that and demanded that all Israelis be removed from beyond the 1967 Lines, the Green Line, before he will even consider restarting negotiations. Thus far he has not particularly stated he is including the Eastern sections of Jerusalem, especially the areas surrounding the Temple Mount and reaching to the Western Wall as much of these areas have been either modernized inside leaving the outside of the building as its original and historic structure and stones as well as much additional new buildings as Israel will Never Again allow for the Temple Mount and surrounding environs to be stolen from us as long as we continue to breathe, period. But Abbas likely will include every inch of Jerusalem occupied by Jordan between 1948 and 1967 until they declared war on Israel on the second day of the Six Day War in June of 1967 where Israel, subsequent to the Jordanian assault, artillery barrage and tank advance through western Jerusalem, repelled and drove back the Jordanian Army across the Jordan River behind the recognized Jordanian border and liberating Judea and Samaria. The unit which retook the Western Wall and Temple Mount stopped their advance and prayed upon these holy grounds being liberated and returned to Jewish possession. This was the spiritual highpoint of the entire Six Day War which itself brought out a spiritual high for all Israelis, Zionists and their supporters, and they were numerous and even included Europe back in those times, before the universal campaign to besmirch the Israeli reputation and utilize old anti-Semitic tropes to label and defeat Israel making Israel and her supporters the new Jew to be scorned and destroyed at all costs. The old blood libels of killing babies for their blood for baking Matzoth became modern blood libel against the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), the Israeli government and the Jews of Israel as well. Now Israel is faced with President Obama demanding Israel enter negotiations or else he will support the presumably soon to be presented French Plan in the United Nations Security Council while Abbas demands that Israel pull all of her citizens, IDF, security forces, and border police from all of Judea and Samaria including the Jordan River Valley (a strategic defensive area which is essential if Israel is to survive any mass assault from out of the east such as Iran, Iraq and even Jordan with the potential of Syria or Turkey using that approach), all of the established cities east of the Green Line which includes nearly one-million Israelis both Arab and Jewish and most likely all of East Jerusalem.

 

One may wonder why Abbas would make such an outlandish and maximalist set of demands in order to even begin any negotiations. It actually is fairly obvious though a bit difficult to believe. The initial hint is the fact that there have been claims for quite some time from Arabs that they should be awarded all of Jerusalem for their capital city and that every trace of Israeli presence be removed thus giving all of Jerusalem and probably the majority of the neighboring areas which would be considered generally a part of the greater Jerusalem area. This would push Israel almost back to Tel Aviv and its neighboring areas and completely out of any of the high ground of which Jerusalem and the established cities beyond the Green Line are Israel’s first line of defense against both attack and terrorist infiltrations. But Abbas is fully aware of the ramifications of what he demands. Also, should Israel completely pull out of all the areas previously occupied by Jordan, what is left to negotiate? Abbas and his band of cutthroats will have received what even most Europeans, for now, recognize as the maximalist demands of the Arabs and should Israel retreat from all such areas past the Green Line even the Europeans, United Nations, United States, Russians, and virtually everybody else except those desiring that all of Israel be destroyed, and groups that includes Abbas and fiends. That is what Abbas deems needful of negotiations and why he can demand exactly the same that President Obama once demanded and has countlessly stated as an intended border, all of the lands east of the Green Line, as the initial point for negotiations and for all Israeli presence be removed, thus he also established possession, which we all know, possession is nine-tenths of the law. Once Israel has been forced from their cities, neighborhoods, factories, commercial developments, shopping malls and all other areas, many of which were established over forty years ago when the world recognized these areas as to be retained by Israel in even the most sacrificial of agreements and now are no longer in question a part of the Arab state to be formed upon the corpse of the state of Israel and the graves of her Jews, Christians and others.

 

So we have President Obama threatening to allow or possibly even support, which will be important as we will explain, the soon to be released French proposed peace plan in the United Nations Security Council and we have Abbas demanding that Israel abandon every inch of the contested lands, likely even East Jerusalem, before he will even consider gracing the negotiations table with a representative; Abbas is beyond and above such trivialities as bothering to negotiate. He is too busy looking at the real estate offerings in Northern Tel Aviv and choosing which mansion he will likely claim as his retirement estate, the place he will hide behind international troops guarding his safety after he destroys all of Israel through negotiations supported by President Obama; though I am tempted to make a Freudian typo of Preditorent Obama. Truth be told, there are those within President Obama’s innermost circle of advisors, which include Susan Rice and Samantha Power and others, including at least one self-loathing Jew, who would advise he support the eradication of Israel and the genocidal slaughter of her peoples replacing all with the twenty-third Arab state as a just and fitting crown of achievement and legacy of President Barack Hussein Obama, and for such an accomplishment perhaps his middle name should be in all caps, italicized, bolded and flashing red just for emphasis. This has to be behind Mahmoud Abbas demand for all of the contested areas be just the introductory sacrifice by Israel in order for there to be negotiations where Abbas will have his negotiators instruct the Israelis of their eventual demise within the next few months as President Obama, the United States military and all the NATO nations descend on Israel siding in its complete removal and sterilization of the lands purifying all of the area between the River and the Sea of every last vestige of Israeli heritage or sign of its ever having existed establishing the Arabs now known as Palestinians as the sole historic residents of the areas going back to the initial explosion which created the universe.

 

So, what is this French plan of which we have mentioned, you ask? Well, it can be simplified to a sentence or two. It calls for the restart of negotiations using the 1967 Lines (Green Lines) as the initial starting point for borders allowing for mutually agreeable exchanges of lands for establishing the final borders for both Israel and Palestine allowing for negotiations to last up to eighteen months and if no agreement can be reached by that point then the United Nations will establish borders based on the Green Line as they see acceptable and should this be a Chapter Seven Resolution, then it will be enforceable by use of force of arms. The force of arms is why having the United States not just oppose nor veto, nor only abstain, but to vote in favor of this plan and promise to fully support the enforcement at the end of the eighteen months with American military might. The one change I might think that Obama would demand be set is that the eighteen months countdown begin at some date past such as when the talks last collapsed such that he is assured that he will still be in office long enough to see the implementation by force of arms be carried out. And yes I do believe that President Obama would use force of arms to the point of overwhelming use of military might against Israel though he has refused to use it anywhere else. I can even make the argument whereby President Obama can make it appear that he has no other choice but to attack Israel to enforce the United Nations decree. He would initially refuse to use force of arms against Israel to force a solution which would then have the European Union and all the nations of Europe get cold feet and refuse to use force of arms and instead whine at Israel loudly and annoyingly in the hopes that such was enough (the question is would Israel even notice that Europe was now whining rather than droning on and on about the Palestinian Arabs). Finally, there would be a few nations who would tepidly send a few troops, certainly not sufficient to force five grandmothers to cross a street, and they would take over a hotel in Bethlehem or Ramallah and spend their time in the bar patting each other and commenting on their brave commitment. Finally there would be a single nation which would give Israel a deadline for them to leave the contested areas or else face the use of force to establish the terms of the French Proposal and enacted United Nations edict.

 

Next Turkey would mass naval forces offshore and land forces along the Golan Heights as there would be no Syrian forces to protest and the likely responsible entity would be Iran who would gladly approve and give permission. The Turkish troops would act as if they were advancing but not cross the Israel border though they would probably remove the fence and other restrictive barricades leaving a large defenseless area which would serve well for an attack. Eventually the Turkish forces would advance with speed towards the Israeli border accompanied by armor such as tanks and Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) eventually drawing an Israeli response which they would tout as a hail of bullets and munitions threatening Turkish troops who were not being threatening in any manner and were on the former nation of Syria’s side of the border. Turkey would then a few days later force an actual engagement which both sides would accuse the other of fomenting the firefight. Both sides would take casualties and Turkey would demand the support of the member nations under Article Five of the accord of which Turkey is still a member, for reasons that escape me. Then there would be a flurry of activity in Brussels and capital cities across Europe, the United Kingdom along with the United States and Canada all discussing what will eventually be a moot-point, whether or not they must support the call to arms by NATO member Turkey against Israel. Eventually, probably a very short eventually, they would realize that they were treaty bound. Here is the according of Article Five of the NATO Charter also known as the Washington Treaty:

The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defense recognized by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area. Any such armed attack and all measures taken as a result thereof shall immediately be reported to the Security Council. Such measures shall be terminated when the Security Council has taken the measures necessary to restore and maintain international peace and security.

 

Once the NATO Alliance members have received an Article Five request and the aggression has been verified, something in such a scenario set-up above, such a debate would be quite short and soon followed by some deep breathes and a fair amount of hemming and hawing attempting to discover some way to avoid committing troops unless the United States leads the way. There would very likely be a brief statement made by President Obama in the White House during primetime evening hours so that the television stations could carry the announcement that despite reservations and with no desire to engage Israeli forces, the United States is treaty bound to come to the aid of a fellow NATO nation suffering attack while in support of an Article Seven Binding Resolution which the United States is also treaty bound to support and is why the United States has provided Turkey with intelligence data gathered by satellites and other means on the Israeli positions and troops movements etc. Such information was unnecessary which President Obama was aware when he offered such information in place of actual assistance. If one desires to know about any Israeli call-up of reserve forces, IDF troop movements, defensive placements and intended plans of actions, all a commander of an enemy force needs to have is a subscription to Haaretz and all the intelligence information will be in the first section, first page, with any above the fold coverage being of special and paramount importance to any opposing force. With the advent of the Article Five NATO treaty request as well as the Chapter Seven United Nations Security Council Resolution and all other considerations, President Obama would claim remorse and having his hands tied forcing his offering the complete and total support of the entirety of the United States military capabilities for the duration.

 

It is such a scenario which, no matter how ridiculous and impossible as it may appear, would force the United States to use force, that we can expect that in talks President Barack Obama likely personally told with French President Francois Hollande to submit the Israel Peace Resolution as a Chapter Six Resolution which is not binding even to the point of use of military force to implement. They would have noted that such would be sufficient to allow every nation wishing to do so to recognize the Green Line as the border of the new state of Palestine; it would still be debatable if the Green Line would then also be the recognized Israeli border. Then they would continue on debating over some fine French wine, some truffles, some foie gras stuffed into sautéed mushrooms and some coq au vin as to which nation would get to recognize Palestine officially. Of course this conversation would take place in Paris as when has President Obama ever used the phone when a trip to some luxurious location was the alternative as one can only be President for at most eight long travel mile years. Even with the recognition there will likely not be a clompete retreat from the contested lands and no way the Israelis will accept totality of defeat and be debating the terms of surrender after pulling back within the Green Line as Abbas demands. The demand is the insistence that Israel accept their defeat in a war of world public opinion and the talks Abbas describes would be to discuss the terms of Israeli surrender of all the lands all the way to the Sea along with a schedule for vacating the lands as the Arabs enlarge their state of Palestine until it reaches the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, just as the chant one can hear at every Israel Apartheid Week (or month) on their local university campus, a celebration required of any university deeming themselves relevant to the modern age of political correctness in all things and a required hatred of Israel and all things related including the concept of a Jewish State, the Jews having the same rights as any other peoples or simply against Jews period. The one thing which requires our attentions are to see whether the French Arab-Israeli peace talks resumption resolution is filed as a Chapter Six, non-binding resolution, or a Chapter Seven, binding resolution with required options for use of military force to implement should any nations or group challenge and not conform to the demands of said resolution. If the French resolution is filed as a Chapter Seven then we will be watching the debate and vote on whether or not the world should run full steam barreling headfirst into World War III. Isn’t it wonderful to live in “interesting times”, just as the old Chinese curse states.

Israel Elections are Upon Us Tomorrow

 

Now it is weeks, though it seems like years, since the government was dissolved and it is March 16, 2015, the day before elections. When these elections were called by then Prime Minister Netanyahu and the right wing Likud and Jewish Home voting with the opposition to dissolve the Knesset, the going media commentary reported the coming floodgates being opened and the guarantee that Likud and a coalition of purely right wing parties would win well over the necessary sixty-one mandates and not need to include what had proved to be the troublesome egoistic parties of Tzipi Livni’s Hatnua (The Party) or Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid (There is a Future) in the coalition. This was presumed to permit the formed right wing, nationalist and Zionist coalition free of the attempts to form a coalition cutting out Likud, Jewish Home and including Labor and other parties finding a coalition to assume power without any elections, an unprecedented virtual coup by Lapid and possibly Livni. The tenor of the campaigns has revealed the designs on power and the Prime Minister’s seat by Livni and Lapid have been thoroughly revealed beyond any doubt. Tzipi Livni forged a coalition with Labor in order to guarantee her Hatnua Party inclusion in the next government despite it polling beneath threshold and has even finagled to share the Prime Ministership with Yitzhak Hertzog despite not having the backing from the public warranting her attaining such an importance while Lapid made some commentary that should he garner the support he dreams his Yesh Atid Party will garner then he had already figured how he could form a coalition as well placing him in the Prime Minister’s chair. The biggest change since the new elections were called has been the media’s slanted coverage and misrepresenting positions and using questionable polling have potentially drawn the results of the election into question and currently the leftist media have placed the Labor Hatnua misnamed “Zionist Camp” as having a comfortable lead and claiming that Likud and Netanyahu are sinking and soon to be thrown from power. The truth be told, the future of Israel will rest on the next government coalition’s ability to hold the line and resist the growing pressures and demands from United States President Obama and his administration’s attempts to require Israel to return to the pre-Six Day War lines leaving half of Jerusalem and all of Gaza, Judea and Samaria presumably under the rule of the unity Fatah-Hamas-Islamic Jihad governance. Such would place virtually all Jewish holy sites beyond Israeli borders and thus not only beyond the reach of any Jew to visit but also likely to be just as destroyed and razed as if these holy sites were surrendered to ISIS. But the real question is what exactly are the Israeli elections being held tomorrow actually addressing beyond who becomes Prime Minister and who would make the best Prime Minister from those who actually might have sufficient mandates to form a coalition, Tzipi Livni/Yitzhak Hertzog power sharing of two years each, Benyamin Netanyahu, Yair Lapid, the leaders of what is referred to as the Arab Block or Naftali Bennett?

 

Before anything can be considered, we need to define the greatest challenge which the new incoming Prime Minister will face once a coalition has been formed. Oddly enough the greatest challenges the next Prime Minister will face will not come out of Europe, from the Unity Government of Fatah/Hamas/Islamic Jihad, from the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) movement, nor from the United Nations. The challenge will come from what many, including many who desire to be the next Prime Minister, believe to be the closest of Israeli allies, the United States. The good news is that the threat coming from the United States does not have universal acceptance as the Congress remains strongly allied and friendly and supportive of Israel though a few too many actually still believe in the two state solution and the Oslo Accords, nor does the threat come from the majority of Americans where Israel still received support by over a ratio of two to one and still approaching three to one. The menacing threats against Israel are formidable and very adept at arousing support from thousands who will be available to man the parapets and be bussed all the way across the country when called upon. These forces came out from coast to coast and north to south to protest presumably racist police presumably having targeted and murdered a gentle giant in Ferguson, Missouri and then in another confrontation in New York City and these demonstrations have been sustained for months even despite the murder of two police sitting in their cruiser in New York and the shooting and severely injured two police standing in front of the Ferguson police station monitoring the protest taking place across the street. The grand juries in both cases found the police not to be at fault and to have acted within the guidelines of their departments and not to have committed any criminal acts. So, we have already witnessed the ability of President Obama and the assistance by Attorney General Holder generating protests despite the innocence of the police even after the evidence being combed through with a very fine toothed comb and still not establishing any culpability of the police. The only accusation they were able to uncover was what was referred to as “Disparate Impact” of arrests and traffic stops, a statistical fact which would very probably be true in virtually every police department with more than twelve officers. The ability of the Community Organizer in Chief and his Attorney Instigator along with such supporting advisors such as Samantha Power, Susan Rice, new Middle East National Security Council appointment, Robert Malley, are all known for their antipathy towards Israel and have other fellow travelers with some of them even being Jews who are more close with their progressive politics than they are to supporting Israel will present a formidable assault team just waiting for the new Israeli government before they launch their broadsides. The appointment of new Middle East National Security Council Advisor Robert Malley was the final straw which removed all doubt of where President Obama was intending to head concerning all things Israel. Looking back all the way to 2008 and Senator Obama’s initial run for the Presidency and we find his appointing Robert Malley to his foreign advisory team and then firing him shortly thereafter due to protestations from numerous Jewish organizations. When Robert Malley was appointed subsequently to head the foreign relations with Iraq and Iran President Obama made assurances to numerous progressive but still pro-Israel organizations and groups that Malley would be restrained from and never deal with anything concerning Israel. Now that the Jewish vote cannot affect President Obama as all elections are gone and he is in the home stretch so is free to do as he pleases and no longer care whose toes he treads or even stomps on while he finally can act to take out those he wishes to destroy but was unable before to act too overtly. Israel is at the head of that list and is also partially behind the leniency being shown the Iranian nuclear program as President Obama has been supportive the leader of the Shiite world and plans on crowning Iran as the new hegemonic power in the Middle East supplanting both Egypt and Saudi Arabia as well as allowing Iran to be the nuclear balance against Israel. This is behind his plans to make any agreement with Iran as an executive agreement which will be considered a guideline which will be considered to be advisory and not binding thus not a treaty as much as an understanding such that President Obama will claim he can bypass Senate ratification as this is not a treaty or any other binding agreement covered by the Constitution of the United States. This was the advisory out of Iran in response to Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton’s open letter to Iran’s leaders signed by forty-six Senate Republicans where they basically echoed exactly the points made by President Obama about why the Congress, even the Senate or especially the Senate, will have absolutely no say in what is agreed upon in the P5+1 and Iran talks. President Obama has now not only gone to the extreme in his desire to remove Congress from any actions he desires to take but has dived into the deep end in challenging the Constitutional restraints presumably limiting President Obama in his final two years. This bodes poorly for Israel as no matter whom Israel elects and President Reuven Rivlin chooses to form a coalition and succeeds in doing so.

 

President Obama announced his intentions almost as soon as he took office when he stated that the solution of the Arab-Israeli conflict would be the forming of an Arab State using the Green Line, the 1949 Armistice line, as the border. President Obama then forced a building freeze on Prime Minister Netanyahu which officially lasted for ten months but has unofficially continued ever since with announcements for tenders to build but somehow the required documents or authorizations always manage to get hung-up and the structures never get built. There has been little if any delay in the destruction of Jewish buildings ordered by the Supreme Court though Arab buildings with similar orders seldom have the demolitions carried out. During the war in Gaza against Hamas and Islamic Jihad, which was brought on by the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli youths followed soon thereafter by daily increased rocket and mortar attacks on the Israeli southern towns and kibbutzim closest to Gaza with the range of attacks growing daily as well until they struck Tel Aviv, then began the war as such attacks had to be halted, President Obama decided that a single ground-to-ground rocket which landed approximately half a mile south of Ben Gurion International Airport was sufficient a threat to cancel all flights by United States carriers from entering Israeli airspace thus closing the airport. A number of European nations also forbid their airlines from using Ben Gurion International Airport. These shuttering of Israeli airspace was despite the knowledge that there was an Iron Dome placed south of the airport plus two other Iron Dome units in the proximity guarding Tel Aviv and Jerusalem which made it next to impossible for anything launched from Gaza of threatening any airliners. There was also the additional requirement inserted between the United States and Israeli militaries which under war conditions are by treaty allowed to resupply Israeli needs straight military to military without need of further validation then being required to receive State Department approval which prevented any resupply of Israel during the conflict in Gaza. This was a breach of treaty and an illegal act which President Obama simply ignored the law of the land as treaties take on once ratified. This exhibits that President Obama has no regard for treaties, agreements, requirements of the United States Constitution or the need to include Congress in any action where such is required by that same Constitution and thus is ruling as if he were Emperor Imperialist of the United States and placing himself above the law. These acts by President Obama are setting precedents should he be permitted such and allowed to trample the Constitution and its limitations on Presidential power that will in the future allow for the destruction of the rule of law and replace it with an imperial presidency which will further take the United States into being under the rule of man, a very dangerous place. This is exactly how President Obama plans on acting, with complete contempt for Congress and with impunity when it comes to empowering Iran and destroying Israel in every way possible and simply daring the Congress to stop his actions.

 

President Obama will also make it known to Arab leadership that should they desire to take Israel before the Security Council that the United States is prepared to abstain from and vote and will withhold its veto whenever able and that they may count on such being the default position of the United States for the remainder of his term in office. This leads Israel to a very dangerous place where if those who have made it their campaign promise and predicated their every statement to promising to repair any supposed damage which Prime Minister Netanyahu may have caused between the Israeli government and the administration of President Barack Obama and by working with President Obama in establishing the two state solution by whatever means are required. These statements have been issued by many who are referred to most often as centrists or center left but not any referred to as far right wing or nationalist backers of the settlements causing an impediment of peace. One must wonder as to what those supporting the two state solution plan on doing should Mahmoud Abbas refuse to make peace unless a complete return to the Green Line with no swaps and a total right of return as well, will they grant the whole set of demands when President Obama advises that they accept these terms as it will be worth doing so as it will finally bring peace. There have been a few statements from Yitzhak Hertzog where he parroted the answers given by Benyamin Netanyahu when they appeared to a debate between them just this weekend, but I have doubts that Hertzog would really stick to such a position if President Obama demanded he surrender all of East Jerusalem as well as Judea and Samaria while accepting five or more million refugees from all the refugee camps and probably beyond as any Syrian refugee who might find an opening to claim refugee status not from Syria but from the Palestinian refugee centers which were in Syria before the civil war. Such an opening if permitted could add near countless refugees being foist upon Israel drowning Israel with Arab refugees who would vote Israel out of being a Jewish state at the very next elections. Probably the best Prime Minister Israel might elect would be a brick wall or whoever comes closest to resembling a brick wall when it comes to surrender to the whims and wiles of President Obama. The unfortunate truth is that the President of the United States would allow Israel’s complete and utter destruction as to it being the homeland of the Jews, and as such, a Jewish State. As to who might be such a person, well, that will be left to the Israeli voters tomorrow and the one promise is that, whoever is chosen to form a coalition will be forming the fate of Israel and the Jewish people in their hands, may they be capable hands guided by G0d and may they be girded with the truth, that by International Law and treaty the lands from the west bank of the Jordan River to the beaches on the Mediterranean Sea, every square millimeter of lands belong to Israel and though all other rights are granted to the inhabitants, the Israeli government is empowered to decide who is granted political power and thus may vote in Israeli elections. This was decided by the fifty-two nations unanimously, the entirety of the League of Nations, in 1921 with the ratification of the San Remo Conference which was further validated by the United Nations Charter Article 80 which recognized the Mandates and all other standing treaties and conferences from the League of Nations remained valid and fully applicable and backed by the United Nations as if enacted by that body as well. Perhaps whoever becomes the next Prime Minister of Israel when standing before the United Nations General Assembly next fall, assuming the next government makes it that far, can read to the assembled the contents of the San Remo Conference and remind them of Article 80 of the United Nations Charter and thus put an end to this futile debate which is invalid simply due to International Law which so many claim to desire. Perhaps it is time to give them the truths about International Law and how it may not be the friend they think it be.

 

Beyond the Cusp
