Why Does Israel Continue to Exist Today?

Ask the average American irreligious or slightly religious Jew, many call them secular Jews or twice a year Jews who only visit the synagogue for the High Holidays and celebrate Hanukkah almost as if it were the Jewish Christmas even to having what they call a Hanukkah Bush (it really is a Christmas Tree with a six pointed star on top instead of a five pointed star). Ask the Jewish leadership of the Anti-Defamation League. Ask Rabbi Rick Jacobs, President of the Union for Reform Judaism. Ask Gideon Levy who writes for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. Ask J-Street, B’Tselem, Peace Now or any of the plethora of misnamed human rights groups which act as Palestinian Arab critical support and fifth column against Israeli interests. The list of people and groups one can ask extends throughout Europe and the entire world with an ever growing number vocally screaming foul over the latest law passed by the Knesset which makes the Jewish communities anywhere west of the Jordan River legal, even those in the, dare we say it, West Bank, formerly known as Judea and Samaria for close to three thousand years. All these protesters keep repeating that this law will destroy the Israeli democracy and disenfranchise Arabs in Israel. This is total bunk. The Israeli Arabs will not be affected by this law in any way or by any means, period. Arabs will still be permitted to work in any position they are qualified to and desire, they will continue to be doctors, nurses, lawyers, Ministers in the Knesset, judges including on the Supreme Court, drivers, construction, engineering or anything they can dream. They will still own their homes, live where they choose, attend schools of their choice, attend church, Mosque, Synagogue or other religious institution of their choice, drive, ride all forms of transportation, vote in all elections and everything else as citizens of Israel. Guess that democracy thing will survive.

I hear the yelling already, “What about the Palestinians voting?” Well, tell you what, whenever Mahmoud Abbas decides that elections are due, then they can have elections. Abbas is serving his twelfth year of a four year term which started in January 2005. The reason the Palestinian Arabs have not voted is because the Palestinian Authority, which means Mahmoud Abbas who has become its dictatorial ruler, has suspended their democratic processes as Abbas knows he would never win in a fair election and the deceit necessary to have him win is beyond his personal ability to manage as there are those standing ready for any opportunity to replace him. Israel has absolutely no control over elections for the Palestinian authority any more than it has over elections in Gaza ruled by Hamas. Where Israel is often faulted for the lack of opportunity to vote for their government by the Arab Palestinians, it has no validity and nothing to do with Arab Israelis who have full rights and do vote in Israeli elections. What happens to the Palestinian Arabs has more to do with their true intentions and the actual and real meaning and purpose of the State of Israel. We will try and clarify both in the remainder of this article and hope we can at least set a few misconceptions straight.

First, let us cover the easiest misperception, that Israel was founded to be a democracy. Not even slightly true. Israel was founded to be the homeland for the Jewish People. It is that simple. Read the Balfour Declarations (see image below) and you will see nary a word about democracy throughout. Read the San Remo Conference and again nary a word about elections, democracy or anything covering governance. Everything in every treaty, conference, document and even the Mandate Rules written by the League of Nations have no reference to democracy or anything about how the State of Israel was to be governed. The main points were that it was to be the homeland for the Jewish People and it could not deprive the residents residing in the land of their freedoms to own property, practice their religion and all civil and religious rights but says nothing about political rights. According to all of the laws etcetera regarding the making and founding of the State of Israel, the form of governance is completely unmentioned leaving it up to the Jews, the Zionists, to decide as they formed their nation. Technically, Israel could legally limit the right to vote to Jews or even to practicing Jews. Israel did not take that path. Israel gave full rights to their population whether Jewish or not. That is why Arabs are full voting citizens of the State of Israel as are many other peoples who were present or have been allowed citizenship as refugees from persecution. The Arabs who remained in Israel did not join the Arab forces who attacked Israel in the 1948 Arab War of Genocidal Intent launched by the Arab World on Israel’s founding morning of May 15, 1948.

Balfour Declaration and Initial Proposed Map and Lands

Balfour Declaration and
Initial Proposed Map and Lands

As a result of that war, what in Israel is euphemistically called the Israeli War of Independence and is celebrated as a victory as Israel survived, yet the reality comes to territory where Israel lost major parts of Judea and Samaria to Jordan who renamed that area the West Bank while Egypt took over the Gaza Strip. There were some Arab villages which harbored fighters which attacked the Israeli forces from behind the lines which lead to the Israeli forces dispossessing the entire village as that was the expedient way of addressing the situation most efficiently and immediately deciding that the villagers were at the least partially responsible for the use of their areas for staging a rear attack and that they were acting as a fifth column. Much has been misrepresented about these actions claiming that these villagers were dispossessed of their lands simply because they were Arabs and nothing else, ignoring their harboring of Arab forces which were planted in order to attack Israeli forces from behind and cutting off their routes of supply and assaulting the civilians claiming that every Jew was a legitimate target. These differences will never be resolved and can only be mitigated by what means will allow.

We have settled that the only real meanings behind the founding of Israel was to take some desert, swamp lands and rock strewn hills into the Jewish homeland. The few people residing in these lands at the end of World War I, a sparse set of peoples strewn here and there, were guaranteed their civil and religious rights such as continued ownership of lands, herds, business, residence and other properties as well as rights to worship in their traditional methods and follow their religions freely. The existing residents were not guaranteed political rights which were reserved technically for the Jewish People if this were the decision of the Zionist Congress upon the founding of the state. When Israel was founded on May 15, 1948 one might say that everything hit the fan as forces from more than a half dozen Arab armies and militias attacked Israel from every possible direction. Peace was not achieved for over a year and when the decision of governance was finally addressed the leadership from the Zionist Congress and the other groups such as the Haganah reached the decision to extend full political rights to all the residents in the nation, Arabs, Jews, Christians, Bedouins, Druze, Baha’I and other smaller minority groups all as one democratic nation. This was the first actual decision on using a democracy and it is notable that the democracy was all inclusive of those who were not opposed to the Jews having their own state. This is how and why Israel is a democracy.

When the State of Israel was founded, the Palestinian Arabs were not citizens of Israel but were Arabs residing in Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia as well as some Iraqis, Turks, Yemenis and others who were part of the invading forces and who remained on the lands or were actually driven onto the lands by their governments in order to make what have become known as facts on the ground. The claims that all of the Palestinian Arabs came from inside Israel is a common factual lie which has been repeated so often with such force and echo-chamber reinforced, the world now accepts it as factual. This is the main drive behind the two state concept as the claim is Israel owes the remnant of her invaders their own nation. This misconception has poisoned the waters so permanently that a solution would be difficult if this was the sole difficulty. There is a further problem in that the Arabs do not believe that the Jews have any right to a homeland within what they see as the Muslim Ummah. Their claim is that throughout all history, which for the Muslims begins in 625, there have been no Jewish lands within the lands they conquered and colonized. The reality is that the Arabs have the longest running and most extensive colonial enterprise in world history. They also are under the belief that the problem with the world is that it has not yet, emphasis on yet, come under the rule of Allah and the dictatorial rule of Islam. Until they are disabused of this notion, Israel, as well as the world in total, can never feel safe from the next Islamic offensive, something the Europeans should remember from their own history as Islam has attacked through Spain only to be turned at Tours by Charles “the Hammer” Martel and twice from Turkey Ottoman Empire being turned back at the Battle of Vienna, the first attack being stopped in 1529 and the second assault turned back by Polish King John III Sobieski in 1683.

Israel, conceived, initiated and founded to be the homeland of the Jewish People has faced the difficulty of a Palestinian Arab irascible obstinacy demanding they are the rightful owners of the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea and that the Jews have no rights in these lands and deserve to be exterminated. This has been their first, second, and final demand and they refuse to compromise and accept anything less. Their demands are often couched in coded verbiage such as their demanding they receive their 22% of the Mandate Lands. The western leadership will almost always take that to mean that they are demanding 22% of the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea this meaning Judea and Samaria or Judea, Samaria and Gaza. What Abbas actually means and has explained as his meaning is 22% of the entire of the Mandate Lands, the 22% which consists of all the lands not taken to make Jordan which was 78% of the original Mandate Lands, the entire of the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Yasser Arafat and after him Mahmoud Abbas both demanded that Israel be destroyed and replaced by Palestine. Abbas has actually offered one compromise; his idea of a two state solution. His two state idea is for an Arab Palestine which will be completely free of Jews and an Arab ruled State of Israel where the Jews have no rights and are allowed to live at the indulgence of their betters, the Arabs which will include over five million Arabs brought from refugee camps from around the Arab world and even within Judea and Samaria and Gaza and who knows how many additional Arabs who simply claim to be refugees seeking economic betterment. Anyway one cuts it, finding a solution which will satisfy the Palestinian Arab leadership and their Arab League backers, it would require sacrificing the Jewish State making the Jews once again stateless.

The problem with the Arab reasoning is that history did not begin in 625 AD, especially in the lands of Judea, Samaria and the rest of the lands of the Twelve Tribes of Israel (see map on right below). The Twelve Tribes of Israel were founded when Joshua crossed the Jordan River and defeated the first Canaanite King of Jericho. This was followed with another victory at Ai and continued until the Holy Lands were conquered following numerous tactical routes first heading through the central Judean hills, then southward and finally the northern areas (shown in the left map below). This conquest began approximately 1275 BCE. Since that time virtually every conquering empire outside those in the Americas, China, Japan, and Russia but even to including the Vikings if one believes that the Greeks were originally Vikings who found the Greek climate preferable to Scandinavia, surprise, surprise, and their Triremes were modified Long Ships; they all have invaded and occupied without ever naming Jerusalem as a capital city even for a province unless the province was expressly for the Jews as was the case under the Persian Empire of Cyrus the Great. The Jewish People have an extensively long history uninterrupted with Jews residing in the lands and especially in Jerusalem constantly starting soon after the entrance of Joshua through the expansive times under Kings David and Solomon through the First Temple Period, their Babylonian exile of most of the population and their subsequent return and building of the Second Temple and expanding the Temple Mount and the remainder of their history through to the modern period. That is the real history and Israel was founded recognizing the entirety of the history, not just that which is fancifully convenient for the Islamic sensibilities.

Israel Through the Ages Joshua Enters to the Twelve Tribes

Israel Through the Ages Joshua Enters to the Twelve Tribes

Then there is the biggest fallacy of them all, that Israel conquered Palestinian Lands in the Six Day War in 1967. First thing is there has never been anything called Palestine for their land to be stolen. Palestine is the name of the region and the original use of the term Palestinian was for the Jews during the British Mandate period where the Arabs were referred to as Arabs or Syrians, Jordanians, Iraqis, Druze, Bedouins, Egyptians or other designation of origin or tribe. When Israel regained the lands of Judea and Samaria in the 1967 Six Day War they were not conquering new lands, they were liberating their own lands which had been occupied by the Jordanians since the 1948 War. The only occupation of Judea and Samaria was by Jordan and the claim that Jordan gifted these lands to the Palestinian Arabs is a great misconception, a great invention of propaganda. The lands were originally and always Israeli and were occupied by Jordan. One cannot give away stolen lands and thus Jordan could not gift the lands to the Palestinian Arabs as it was stolen land occupied illegally by Jordan. The entire world with the exception of Britain and Pakistan refused to recognize these lands as Jordanian. Even Egypt and the Arab League refused to recognize the Jordanian occupation. Lastly, Jordan signed a peace with Israel surrendering the occupied lands of Judea and Samaria back to Israel and it was not until two years after that treaty that Jordan officially claimed to have gifted the lands to Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian Arabs. That makes these lands doubly not Jordanian to give as they were not even occupying the lands when they claimed to have given them away. What is next, the Iranians claiming they gave away Hollywood to the Arab Palestinians community of Southern California? That would be just as legal as the Jordanian claims to have given land they did not even possess at the time to the Palestinian Arabs and they even made the claim retroactive to attempt to grant it some degree of validity. That simply does not wash and the land remains Israeli until such time as Israel gives it away in a treaty, something seeming more and more remote by the day.

So You Really Hate Israel… Why?

There are two nations on this planet which have entire NGOs and groups who make their millions by hating them and running around screaming about everything they can find or think they know is evil about them. One is Israel and the other is the United States. Well, guess what. Both nations air their mistakes right out front for the world to feast upon if they so desire. They also both quietly go about helping save the world and not asking for anything much in return. Those who have benefited from this help often turn right around and speak evil about both of us and that is just fine because we know who we are. You want to hate Israel? We are not going to stop you, argue with you or apologize for our few problems. But maybe you should look at Israel, and if you hate the United States you better take a long hard look at them too. While you are seeking an honest answer, perhaps you should check yourself and those who have been feeding you this hatred because you will probably realize some problems with your information train. But if you want to hate Israel, go ahead because we can take it, we Jews have been the object of a general hatred for a few hundred years now, close to over thirty-hundred.

In case you are having difficulty with the math, allow us to help. Thirty-hundred is three-thousand, yes, three thousand years with most of that time our living right here in Eretz Yisroel. That is why Jews have another name less used these days but it is all over this bestselling book, the bible. We are also the Children of Israel. Why children? Well, that is an easy one. We are His children, Hashem, the Big Guy upstairs. Perhaps you’ve heard of Him. We are His children and will forever be His children and just like all children we make mistakes. We do try to learn from our mistakes but sometimes that is a difficult path. We really messed up badly a few times and paid a heavy price. Our first foray into being less than all we could be got us exiled to Babylonia, but rather quickly our Father forgave us and we returned here to Israel and built the Second Temple. For your information, that was around the time when Buddha, Confucius and a few other well-known fathers to some of the other great Earthly philosophies and religions were just starting out. That was nothing compared to our later mistake where too many of us turned to evil such as idolatry and hating one another. For that we paid an even dearer price. The Second Temple was destroyed and the majority of us spread all over the globe for almost two-thousand years. Our Father, oh, and your Father too, but you hopefully know that or have briefly forgotten about that, He finally allowed His displeasure to subside and we have been given another return home and we are hoping that enough of us can keep things real and on the straight and narrow. Two thousand years of basically being thrown out of your house and told to go stand in the corner is a tough lesson and we had better have learned our lesson.

What lesson? Well, to love one another and especially each and every member of our family and to help where and when and how we are able and to give of ourselves for the betterment of humankind and not to turn away from our Father and to pay Him His due. That may sound easy but it is not as people have been getting that one wrong seemingly forever but yet our Father still loves His children, not just us, but all of His children and that includes you. We hope we have learned a few things about truth and the ways of the universe and it is a lot more difficult to grasp or understand than many think. Yes, sure there are tons of nice formulae which describe everything and as the scientists discover more the more they realize they do not know and more recently they have figured out the BIG truth, they will never know all there is because there will be more and it will be beyond their ability to even see the whole picture, let alone figure it out. The real truth is we need to care for what we have and everything else will come in its time.

Israel and the United States share a few things. We are usually the first two nations to arrive when there is a natural disaster to assist and we often are the last to leave. We both send our physicians out into the world to teach procedures and other things which a few hundred years ago were considered witchcraft but today we know are simple facts used for the betterment of mankind. Israel and the United States are often the target of unfounded hatreds even from those we have assisted the most. We have treated freely many Palestinians and especially those their own hospitals do not have the equipment or know-how to treat. This has included relatives, close relatives including mothers, siblings, children and even those leaders themselves of both Hamas and the PLO. Why do we help our mortal enemies? They are not our enemies, they just are people who have erred into blind hatred; yet still parts of their reason allows them the ability to turn to that most hated people, the Jews of Israel, and seek us out when their own family is in the most dire place need of help. They turn to Israel knowing that despite their desire to murder all of us, we will help them when they are in need because they are also our fellow human beings, our brothers and sisters who are lost. Further, our Father tells us to assist those seeking our help, so we do so. It is that simple.

For your information, it is because we refuse to even hate our mortal enemies that they hate us even more. They see their failings and blame us and we do not fight back as that would be something our Father would not abide. We have an obligation to be as wonderful and helping in all cases to all our fellow human beings and not judge their rights and wrongs as that is not our place. We are His children and we must strive to be worthy of that name. We fail and fail far too often to worry about those false accusations as we need to live up to our expectations of ourselves and then go beyond that to His expectations of us. We will never be the perfect people Hashem desires of us but we will pick ourselves up off the floor every time we fail and try harder. That is what drives us and keeps us working at making ourselves and all we touch better. We are supposed to help and fix that which needs repair and leaving alone that which either is already good or that which refuses to be helped. When they then stop the hate long enough to beseech our aid, we give it freely because that is why we are here and why you are here.

That dictate, telling all of us about loving thy neighbor as thyself thing, we were first commanded to try and live up to that and we have stumbled. We still work on that principle and we will likely stumble some more, but we will continue to try. Treating the stranger amongst us kindly is also one of the commandments we try to live by. But let me tell you a few things we bet you have never heard about. First thing is the Arabs who are citizens of Israel are fully equal with the Jews. They vote, work as they please, live where they please and have every right to fair treatment as anyone else in Israel and some would claim that we are harder on our fellow Jews than any of the myriad of minorities residing in Israel, citizens or not. The Palestinians you demand so much for, rule themselves within our borders in semiautonomous zones. The reason they are semiautonomous is because we do not demand they raise armies and we would defend them from foreign attacks. They continue to reside here because the majority of the Palestinians would love for there to be peace but outside forces rule them and demand they never make peace. Look up the Khartoum Resolution and the resultant Three No’s and read why there is such a movement of hate against Israel. This conference, as you would read, came about after the Six Day War of 1967. The three no’s, just to save you reading all that Wikipedia propaganda, are “no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel.” The Khartoum Conference was technically an emergency meeting of the Arab League called in order to end Israeli aggressions. Israeli aggression is defined by our Arab brothers and sisters officially as Israeli existence. The only solution acceptable is the complete and total destruction of Israel, and if truth be told, followed by the hunting down and murder of every Jews, practicing or not, everywhere. By the way, the leaders of this movement are also the people paying for your NGO through many long, convoluted and twisting channels as they desire to be hidden from view. They know that should their backing become common knowledge then they would not have as much backing as they have collected. Personally, I believe they might receive more backing if they went public, but it matters not.

Israel will continue and will seek peace even when doing so appears suicidal. We are commanded to offer those residing in our lands a choice of three options about their residing here. This was also what we offered the Canaanites when we entered here from Egypt, and we know there are historians who claim we never were in Egypt and that is their right to believe as they choose. They were told they could remain and live in peace as long as they observed the Noahic Code, or they could depart over our borders and we would not pursue or harm them without due cause, or they could choose to war with us at which time we would defeat them and destroy every last vestige that they existed, their people, cities, cattle, crops, idols (definitely their idols) and lastly anything else we could find. Many of the Canaanites chose the war option but there were a minority which chose leave or live with us and observe the seven Noahic Laws (see below). The Noahic Code is given in the bible and has also become known as the Divine Code which also has a nice ring to it. Yes, the Noahic Code is also part of the Ten Commandments but is not all ten, it is seven on which a right and decent society must be built or it will fail. The Palestinians claimed they would abide by the Noahic Code but some insist on trying to kill us. As long as one tries to kill us, we will answer them in kind. If they wish peace then we will give peace for peace. It really is that simple, peace for peace, threat for threat, death for death, war for war, eye for an eye and life for a life, it sounds almost Biblical, doesn’t it.

Let us conclude our little conversation and ask a simple favor, if we may. Visit Israel and realize that despite the attractive life in Tel Aviv, that is not our best and finest, just the wealthiest. But then the major cities in the United States is not representative of the heart of America, it is just where the wealth resides. The measure of a person and a nation are similar, gold does not make them necessarily right, it just makes them wealthy and able to be heard louder. Loud does not equal right just quiet also does not impart automatic justness as often whispers are the most devious of all lies as they carry the shroud of being long kept secrets. Often the whispers and the person screaming in the town square are repeating the same oft told lies which many are centuries old. Hatred of the Jews is amongst those ancient hatreds and we were warned that in every generation one would rise to destroy us and unfortunately it has often not been just a single one but often a multitude with numerous leaders and prophets. The Nazis did not act completely alone as some nations have admitted and others still remain unrepentant. Neither did the Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Philistines, Nazis, Stalinists, Czars, British, French, Spanish (Inquisition), Ottomans, Assyrians, Persians (Haman the Amalekites, descendant of King Agag), Amorites and now the Islamists. Many of these listed were our friends and turned against us or were our enemies and made eventual peace with us.

But do something easy and spend a couple of weeks visiting Israel and travel to the far corners and walk the fields, enjoy the fruits of the land and get to know the people, Jews, Arabs, Muslims, Christians, Baha’I, Buddhists, Hindus and the other myriads of people as well. If you prefer take that vacation in Haiti and ask of the Israelis there, or the Philippines, Japan where the quake and tsunami hit worst, or even New Orleans from the hurricane or the parts of Louisiana recently flooded and you will hear that the Israelis came and assisted. As a matter of fact, Israel is one of only a few nations which offers assistance to the United States and does not simply believe they can handle it alone; they do not need or want our help. We know that would be a lie and is simply a reason for not assisting and we take assisting our fellow man in need and try to help whenever we are permitted, even if that means deception about the aid given coming from Israel as the Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) foundation does regularly when a child from an Arab and/or Muslim nation which refuses to recognize Israel and would torture or murder the family if it were known they received our help. These special cases are handled discreetly and they are flown to a neutral nation and brought to Israel on El Al or private airlines and their travel documents never show any reference to Israel as we are helping and not in the business of burdening people who have suffered the pains of a deathly ill child and the only true assistance being theoretically out of reach due to unseemly hatreds.

Before you continue with the next Apartheid Israel demonstration or give the Palestinians their own country or whatever the next “thing” protesting Israel, seek a little truth, check out those claims you have been fed, realize there is a silent, quiet, underlying lie in the slanders and a kernel of truth out there if only you seek it. We cannot simply yell from the bell tower as we have limited funds which can be better used helping people, other people who really need the help, than using the money to fight the lies. The lies are backed by some of the richest oil wealth nations whose people often reside in poverty and whose education system indoctrinates, not teach. We could never scream louder than the paid adversaries receiving their ill given hate funding from people who would line every Jew on the planet up and slaughter them ISIS (Islamic State, Daesh or ISIL as President Obama prefers to call them) style and would probably do as did the Nazis and record it for posterity. We would rather save lives whenever possible and that is the reality. Israel has saved more Arabs, children and adults, than we have killed in our defense of our nation and wish that we could only save lives and never be in the position of having to take them. But that probably remains for you to find out for yourself, and we invite you to do so. For the rest who already know and appreciate these facts, we would like to give you our heartfelt thanks for your support at any level or effort. Even your smile towards us is sufficient recognition, thank you.

Time to Claim that which Belongs to the Israelites

There is a strange thing which happens to people should they read the Old Testament with special attention initially to the first six books, the Five Books of Moses, or Torah, the scroll which is read from in Synagogues the world over during Saturday morning services and other days and holidays, and the first book of the remainder of the Jewish Bible, Joshua, sometimes thought of as the Sixth Book of Moses as the style of writing is so similar to those of Torah. Reading about the Prophets, Judges, Kings, Psalms and Proverbs, there are names of places. The realizations go even deeper should one study these writings and reference a map of ancient Israel so that the names of the locations can be located. Some of the places have identical names today and some have been changed, often to disguise their Israelite (Jewish) history and heritage. Temple Mount, Jerusalem, Hevron, Shechem, Jericho, Beersheba, all the precious tombs and the lands in which they lived, sanctuary cities and all are written about. One will read of the Tribes of Israel (see map below) which settles on both, yes, both sides of the Jordan River. The tribes northern border was the Litani River which lies in the center of modern Lebanon and was presumably the demarcation south of which the United Nations promised to prevent Hezballah from setting up as part of the peace agreement of the last Lebanon conflict. Promises to Israel appear to be the least kept of words between men as time and again any rumbling or threats from terrorists and the world runs frightened leaving Israel to face these threats without any trust in worldly promises. Yet, for reasons beyond all reason and logic, the Israeli government will always trust the promises of the world time and again despite every broken promise of the past; always ready to believe this time it will be different, despite all evidence to the contrary. Perhaps it is a character fault of trusting and believing in the best of people and nations despite all evidence to the contrary.

Eretz Yisroel from back in the time immediately after Exodus and before the additional conquest by King David and King Solomon with the original division of the lands between the Tribes covering both sides of the Jordan River. The Israelis and Jews in general could attempt to demand that Eretz Yisroel, the Land of Israel be made whole as was First Apportioned by Hashem.

The problem is Israel has a history of trusting in the fairness and asking for the approval and constantly waiting for such approvals. It started long before Israel became a nation. We can start a short distance and work back. It was November 29, 1947 with the vote in the United Nations which suggested that when any nation would be made between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, it be divided between and Arab and a Jewish nation. This plan was made by the General Assembly which meant that should either side refuse the resolution the entirety was null and void. The Arab League immediately refused the resolution ending the patrician plan thus allowing for Israel to be established on all the land. When the fateful day arrived on My 15, 1948, the entirety of six Arab armies invaded at the break of dawn, or soon thereafter, and attempted to extinguish the nascent state and murder every Jew in a genocidal massacre. They failed in this endeavor but did manage to occupy Gaza and much of Judea and Samaria, which Jordan renamed West Bank to erase its Jewish root names, and held these lands illegally for the next nineteen years until the June 1967 Six Day War when Israel liberated these lands. But even this vote by the United Nations was far from the beginning, so let us proceed back further.

Left UN Partition Plan Resolution 181 Rejected by Arabs
Making Original British Partition Arab and Jewish Lands
as Only Standing Agreement Supported in 1921 Arab League
and Zionist Congress Backed by British Crown as Valid

Right after World War I ended there was a move in Europe to return the lands to the original indigenous peoples where such existed. This was what led to the British making the Balfour Declaration in 1917 which promised that the British would take it upon themselves to establish a Jewish homeland in the Middle East in the lands which had been ancient Israel. At the San Remo Conference the Allied powers met and drafted a paper in which they guaranteed and formalized their aims to establish a Jewish state and drafted the Balfour Declaration completely intact in a paper referred to by the name of that conference, the San Remo Conference. This paper was signed by all the Allied States other than the United States, Great Britain, France, Italy, Russia and Japan. In the Treaty of Sèvres, signed on August 10, 1920, which formalized the San Remo Conference and also established the Mandate Systems which establish the British Mandate as well as the entire set of Mandates from which the Sykes-Picot Treaty, set up the remainder of the Middle East and North Africa countries which were to be martialed initially by the European Allies and Russia until self-government could be established. The British Mandate was meant to establish the Jewish State but as the British had promised the Hashemite Dynasty a nation; so they met with the Zionist Congress and petitioned them to accept a state solely on the west of the Jordan River while surrendering their claims to any lands east of the Jordan River so that the British could establish an Arab State for Palestinian Arabs under the Hashemite Dynasty setting the Hashemites as the monarchy leaving the western parts to be used for the Arab State (see map above). The Zionist Congress, feeling powerless and desiring to not anger the British who were one of the most powerful of nations at that time, agreed to accept a severely truncated Israel. Transjordan, later to become Jordan, was finally established formally in 1946, two years ahead of Israel. But it goes back even further.

The history of the Jews and Israel, since the conquest by the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great and then the Roman Empire and the two banishments after temporarily successful wars throwing off Roman rule briefly only to fall to Roman legions sent to teach the upstart Judeans (Jews) a lesson that Rome would not tolerate such revolts, has been a series of pogroms, murderous riots, banishments, cleansings and finally the Shoah, the Holocaust. The fact that this happened twice was proof that they deserved the Biblical description of being a stiff necked people. Unfortunately, these were pretty much the last times the Jews were truly a stiff necked people and instead became, over the intervening approximately twenty centuries, Jews having anything but stiff necks by any stretch of the imagination. If anything, they have proven to be amongst the most malleable of all peoples. They left nations at a simple behest leaving their businesses and often properties and wealth behind, and kept to their own portions of cities, often a Jewish ghetto. They feared the Church, Mosque, Priests, Imams, Kings, Queens, Caliphs, Barons, Emperors, Czars, Kaisers, Mahārājas, Padishahs, Rajas and all other titled and authorities constantly fearing pogroms, cleansings, inquisitions, purifications, jihads and any edict which might make them targets. What was sad is that had the majority of Jews worldwide ever chosen to return to their ancient homelands they might have been capable of turning realities into independence or at the least making of their homelands a partitioned semiautonomous region where they could have lived in relative peace. All it would have taken would have been faith in Hashem and their own worth, but instead the Jews continued to live at the tolerance and best intentions of others. Such has been the history and thus is the current leadership.

There is a question which is approaching by one means or another as the Arabs are restless and angered by their leadership under the Palestinian Authority and a sizeable majority are ready to elect Hamas into leadership across their towns, cities and other local governance. The majority of Palestinian Arabs reside in areas where they elect their local leaders and in what is misnamed the West Bank, they reside in an autonomous region where they elect their leaders. Their last election for President was held in 2005 where Mahmoud Abbas was elected. Since then he has feared standing for reelection and thus has found reason after reason to cancel elections. The real reason is he is afraid of losing power and being replaced by Hamas. This might lead to his being charged for corruption and theft of funds and standing trial under Hamas judges who would have him killed just as soon as they were sure they had found every dollar and Euro he has stolen and stashed in Swiss and other banks. Whatever such a future might hold, Abbas will do all he is able to avoid finding out what exactly would happen. Still, Israel needs to be prepared for a Hamas takeover by one means or another in the near future. Should Hamas take control of Judea and Samaria, Israel will be forced to confront a situation where Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion International Airport and the heart of Israel surrounding these areas and reaching as far north as Netanya would rapidly become uninhabitable due to rocket attacks carried out by Hamas as soon as they would be capable of building or importing even the most rudimentary of rockets (see map below). Such a situation would be untenable at best and an unimaginable disaster should such a situation arise. With Hamas ruling the majority of the localities and potentially, should Abbas allow elections to be held at any time, running the entire show; Israel would need to come to a decision immediately and set forth a strong and unambiguous situational criteria. Israel would have to rule that a single rocket fired from the Arab areas within Judea and Samaria landing anywhere within any areas within the Green Line or any of the neighborhoods outside of Arab autonomous regions that Israel would immediately claim and annex all the lands other than Gaza between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea and all Arabs within the autonomous regions would be pushed outside of the State of Israel and its true borders under International Law. Simple statement and placing the IDF on alert should provide the reality check required as proof of the real intentions. Unfortunately, such a declaration would not likely be coming as the government would be worried over what the Americans might say or even think, what the Europeans and European Union would say, what Russia, China and anybody else might believe of them, especially if it was unkind, and finally they would be overly concerned what the Arab and Muslim world would do and react to their displacing even a single Arab from their home. Simply stated, they would need to sample every nation, international body, the United Nations, European Union, and possibly see what Viking rune stones might say in predicting the Scandinavian nations’ reactions. Unfortunately, the map says it all.

The time is rapidly approaching when Israel will be facing a choice, take all the land which is legally ours and grant the Arabs fair market share for their properties, except for those in governance as they have stolen sufficient to provide for themselves for a long period, and place them and the prisoners outside Israeli borders. This may require military force just as was used to destroy Jewish communities in Gaza and areas of Judea and Samaria to please United States President George W. Bush, his Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, the State Department and every other soul on the planet who supported the Gaza sacrifice which turned so disastrous that one hopes at least one lesson may have been learned. If the IDF can be utilized to beat down Jews and destroy their neighborhoods, livelihoods, businesses, communities and all else which had any real, intrinsic or emotional value, then Israel should sure as anything be capable of using at least similar force in extending the borders to their Internationally Legal limits along the Jordan River and making these lands safe for all Israelis of all religions. Families who have been completely free of any ties to terror and desire to remain as legal alien residents and obey Israeli laws and be aware that should any member of their family commit or support any terrorist activity, they will lose everything faster than they can protest the actions and be sent beyond the border without any remunerations for lost property et al. The world is steadily accelerating in their embracing of anti-Semitism and this has been steadily made evident by the adoptions of the BDS movement and the number of governments who refuse to relocate their embassies from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the true Israeli Capital City. No other nation is made to suffer the refusal of the world to accept their declaration of a Capital City other than Israel and Jerusalem. We recognize that the constant and incessant griping, sniping, threatening, and badgering of government officials by Arab Palestinian proponents sooner or later wear down many a government official which eventually snowballs into accepting their demand if only to have some quiet as the Jews won’t complain, they’re civil and meek like good Jews. Perhaps it is time to place some Israelites into the highest positions in our political establishment and finally stand up for ourselves and tell the world it is our turn to set some rules. Do we need to actually state these rules? We hope not as all Israel should demand and actuate upon are the exact things promised us since 1917, the lands of our ancestors, all of them. Read our history, read our Torah and Joshua and the rest of our Bible and become educated. We could demand what is actually Greater Israel which is defined as the lands taken at the height of Israelite power under King David and King Solomon (see map below). There is a lot to be stated about this area.

Eretz Yisroel as formed after the conquests by the Kingdoms of King David and King Solomon; both of whom allowed the Principalities of Edom, Moab and Ammon to be semi-autonomous as long as they and their armies supported Eretz Yisroel

We never did quite make it from the Euphrates to the Nile, but we did reach the Euphrates. Further, were Israel granted these lands, then there would be little left of the Syria Civil War as Israel would be dividing the warring parties and should the Islamic State insist on striking Israel, there would no longer be any need for any world hand wringing as all that would need be done would become done. Israel has attempted to please the world and the world cannot be pleased. Israel has attempted to live by the world’s rules but those rules claim that Israel never be permitted to win. Even when we have won and liberated our own lands the world demands we give away those very lands after we already returned an area of land which vastly outsizes our actual borders under International Law. We are talking of the Sinai Peninsula and our sitting on the eastern banks of the Suez Canal. The time for deference is rapidly coming to a close if it has not already come and gone and Israeli leaders are simply being too timid. Excess of timidity is as much as sin as being overly boastful. Perhaps the time is now to declare our annexation of all that is ours and allow the chips to fall where they may. We surrendered Gaza and got a fanatical den of annihilative monsters desiring our death over their own lives and the world did not budge from their demands that Israel and her people commit suicide. Israelis have had enough with the demands that Israel surrender to every tin pot demanding their pound of flesh. We are done with it or honestly should be. The Israeli leaders may still bend over backwards, but the people have reached the end of their rope and the politicians had best heed the growing growling as that growl is meant for them if they do not point it in a healthier direction. When even one of the major parties in the United States removes backing for the Two State Solution and in turn the Oslo Accords from their platform, it is time that Israel take that dead issue off our table as well. Now is the time and not waiting for Hamas to become further entrenched in Judea and Samaria and join the Islamic State bringing that misery to our doorsteps. It will be best to end all misery before it multiplies tenfold and that means now. Time is here for a new breed of leadership, one that will fight for the people and end the Oslo Charade which leads only to self-annihilation because suicide is not a viable solution.
