Northern Nigeria has been transformed into a mini-state under what Boko Haram has defined as their Caliphate which is all a part of the greater Caliphate as Boko Haram has declared loyalty with ISIS swearing their fealty with Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Boko Haram in their recent attacks has solidified their controls all of the Borno Province up to and including the borders with Niger, Chad and Cameroon. There had been the solitary town of Baga along the western shores of Lake Chad which, due to the presence of a military base manned by multinational forces from Niger and Chad, resisted Boko Haram and believed the presence of the military base would continue to safeguard the twenty thousand plus populations keeping them safe. This was despite their being the lone holdout to the area to which Boko Haram has claimed has come under their rule as an independent state. This is part of Boko Haram’s latest claim of forming their own state with their announcing their membership as part of the greater ISIS Caliphate. The brave little township of Baga awoke earlier this week to the sounds of gunshots and screaming which, according to the few townspeople who managed to escape, came from all direction save the west, the direction of Lake Chad. The hope of the population dissolved instantly upon witnessing the military deserting their posts and making their escape leaving the people to fend for themselves without military troops or their weapons to defend themselves. Reports claimed that much of the population took to the lake to escape and are now trapped on an island without adequate food, water or shelter. The reports estimating the potential death toll vary widely from the low end of hundreds to as many as two thousand plus with the eventual death toll hard to estimate if the tens of thousands when adding those who have taken refuge on the Island fall to thirst, exposure or worse, Boko Haram deciding to finish their slaughter by making an amphibious assault on the island murdering the remainder of the citizens of Baga who have taken refuge there. Some reports included not just that there were bodies strewn across the entirety of Baga virtually lining the streets, but that much of the city had been destroyed by fire after looting the homes and stores of anything valuable, The reports appear only to differ by degree with those who escaped later providing the most heinous recounting.

This carnage will most probably be lost in the greater coverage of the attack on the Paris offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo where twelve individuals were slaughtered, two police including one Muslim officer and ten of the Charlie Hebdo staff including their editor and numerous cartoonists and staff members. There were also at least ten people injured with at least four with very serious wounds. The drama in France continued with a shooting of a twenty seven year old rookie female police officer named Clarissa Jean-Philippe who ‘dreamed of serving her country’. The suspected brothers, Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, from the Charlie Hebdo terror attack were surrounded in a printing house forty kilometers outside Paris where they held a single hostage. The brothers’ hostage was successfully saved when the brothers stormed from the factory firing at the forces surrounding their location. The Kouachi brothers had told officials they were prepared to be martyred and their wish came to fruition. Two police officers were wounded in the exchange with one possibly having succumbed to their injuries. The assassin of the female police officer, Amedy Coulibaly, was cornered in a kosher market where he had killed three people with his entry into the store. Upon the exchange of fire at the brothers’ location the message was sent to the other stand-off that the time for their raid had arrived. Police had accessed the closed circuit security camera inside the shop allowing the police to notice the terrorist kneeling to pray providing them with the advantage necessary for their assault with a maximum advantage and surprise. At least one more person was murdered at the kosher market bringing the toll of innocents to four plus the terrorist who also was killed. Reports list numerous hostages freed from the kosher market where some had stolen away in the freezer inside the market and were among the estimate of fifteen hostages being rescued from the market. This brings this terror attack to a close for which we can be thankful. Our sympathies lie with all the victims of the attacks in France and those being subjected to a living hell in Nigeria at the hands of the heartless, inhuman terrorist heathens of Boko Haram. We hope that the surviving residents from Baga are rescued before even more are murdered in the name of the Caliphate.

France has just been witness to the barbarity which Israel faces on a daily basis. The sole reason we do not read about endless such situations in Israel has to do with a state of constant alert along with the security fence/wall which along with checkpoints, both permanent and randomly placed, which prevent untold numbers of terror attacks. There are at least a half dozen reports which make the news in Israel each week with some weeks breaking a dozen such reports where Arabs are caught with large knives, pipe bombs and worse by the checkpoints, alert Israeli Defense Force (IDF) troops, border patrol, and police while private security personnel also prevent attacks often without it ever reaching the news services. One could safely bet that less than half of the attempts to harm Israelis never get reported outside of the security forces reports and records. This speaks only to assaults with regular weapons such as bombs, knives and firearms. Then there are the terrorist attacks which succeed. Recently there was the attempted assassination of Yehuda Glick whose crime is desiring to pray on the Temple Mount and to have it permissible for Jews, Christians and anyone else who feels the urge to pray be permitted prayer on this holy site but he was shot at point-blank range four times in the chest by an Arab Muslim whose reason was that he believes that only Muslims are to be afforded the privilege of praying on the holy site of the Temple Mount. Four Rabbis were gunned down and butchered while in the midst of their morning prayers with their Tefillin (phylacteries) and Tallit (prayer shawls) on and prayer books in their hands. There were other rabbis and worshipers who, praise Hashem, were able to escape with their lives though a number had serious but survivable wounds. These are terrorist attacks which were deadly successful in just the last few weeks and are but one side of the terrorism which is committed against Israelis and targeted at Jews almost exclusively.

The most unreported terrorist attacks are those where rocks and fire bombs are thrown at vehicles with Israeli license plates. These attacks happen to such an extent that the police and other security agencies refuse to bother to keep records. The reasoning behind not keeping such records is simple, telling and dangerous. If these attacks were recorded there would be data which those who feel that making peace with the Arabs who perpetrate murderous attacks daily is a recipe for disaster. There is a young girl of eleven years who is currently in hospital fighting for her life and even should she survive, she faces years of surgeries to repair the horrific damages to her face and torso from the fire bomb which broke through the vehicle windshield and exploded in her lap. If not for her father’s quick actions pulling her from the vehicle and extinguishing the flames she most certainly would have died from her wounds. There have been three or four children under the age of four who have been struck in the head by rocks often three inches in diameter if not larger which crashed through the windshields of the vehicles they were travelling in who survived but remained in comas for weeks or months and are going to require years of therapy and even then will never regain full function nor live a normal life. In some cases the rocks are hurled from vehicles speeding in the opposite direction from ambush sites set up by the Arab perpetrators. They have a lookout that waits about a mile up the road waiting for a car to pass with the appropriate targets inside and then signal the vehicle driver by cell phone. The driver than accelerates towards the victim vehicle gaining as much speed as possible and as the two vehicles close on each other passengers in the Arab vehicle hurl their projectiles, rocks, fire bombs or both at the target with the full intent on causing the most severe injury or murder as is possible. One of the most tragic and most well known as the surviving family members not only permitted the pictures of the victims but also the vehicle to be made public but insisted that they be displayed whenever their story was told. You see, many of these unfortunate children are more fortunate than was Yonatan Palmer or his father Asher who were killed when a rock of close to or over five inches diameter crashed through their windshield striking the father in the head killing him outright and thus causing the vehicle to careen off the road and crash into a tree where the impact killed Yonatan before he reached his second birthday. Below are pictures of Asher and Yonatan Palmer and below that their vehicle where it came to rest.

Then there are the regular ambush sites which are set up at holy sites where those coming to worship can be ambushed. The two most well-known to Israelis, and the one well-known to the world, are the Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives Cemetery. The Temple Mount has been the target of attacks for the last few months as the leadership of Hamas out of Turkey had arranged for these daily assaults in order to keep the Temple Mount closed to Jewish visitation. The Arabs have learned that if they continue to instigate violent protests on the Temple Mount then the security personnel will close the area off to Jewish visitation as this is considered the best policy to calm the Arab anger and thus alleviate the reason for the rioting. This tactic is now being employed against the Israeli government as the Arabs under the direction and funding by Hams are continuing prolonged periods of violence on the Temple Mount in order to keep the Jews from even being permitted to visit the Temple Mount. Hamas leadership has made clear their intent is to prevent Jewish visitation for a sufficiently long period so as to them argue that the Jews obviously do not hold the Temple Mount to be as holy as do the Muslims as the Jews never take the opportunity to make visits to the Temple Mount. Meanwhile the Arabs are pressing the Europeans and American to insist that the Israeli government take every step necessary to keep the status quo on the Temple Mount which results in the Jews being restricted from visitations while Arab violence is taking place as it is assumed that Arab violence is caused by Jewish presence or their having uttered prayers or simply appeared to have said something construed as prayer.

The Mount of Olives Cemetery is located such that the entry road passes under a sharp cliff on top of which is an Arab school. Whenever vehicles attempt to enter the cemetery they are pelted with rocks thrown from atop the cliff from the school yard above. There have been funerals where those attempting to attend were forced to turn back and attend the funeral from a great distance unless they were willing to brave the gauntlet and have their vehicles suffer the damage which would certainly be inflicted upon it and risk their persons as well. These assaults too are ignored by the majority of even the Israeli media as these events are common and as such not newsworthy unless something tragic occurs. This in and of itself tells a sad story as it means that even the most sacred of events, the burial of a friend, relative or associate is disturbed and those attending assaulted and potentially injured and it is not reported by most media within Israel and almost never, even when tragic results occur, reported outside Israel. Proof is likely as it is doubtful that many have even heard of the event described next where visiting prominent public figures elected to the United States House of Representatives were treated no different than Israelis or any others when they visited the Mount of Olives Cemetery as told as follows. On February 25, 2012, United States House of Representatives members Eliot Engel and Jerrold Nadler, both New York Democrats, were walking in the Mount of Olives Cemetery when they were assaulted with rocks where a “baseball-sized” rock hurled at the group nearly hitting Representative Nadler. The American politician posed for a picture with the offending projectile which is below.

These attacks are made with the full knowledge of Mahmoud Abbas as he is now the leader of the unified Arab Authority over Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad and these groups both political and ‘military’ arms. The ‘military’ arms are listed or have been listed previously, and delisted solely so the peace process could be carried forward, as terrorist groups by the United States, numerous European governments, the United Nations and the European Union. The demands that the Israelis make concessions to bring the Arabs to the bargaining table just so they can demand the total surrender of Israel to their maximalist demands and in return the Arabs refuse to promise to end their struggle to free their ‘homelands’ which means no end to the terror attacks like those listed above and still demand that Israel allow as many Arabs as can be found to be relocated within Israel with full political rights transmuting Israel into another Arab state in which the Jews lives will likely be short and brutal. As Jews we fully understand the reason that the Europeans have so little problem with this result. We are even beginning to realize that even the United States is changing politically and Israel can no longer fully depend on both parties to support her. We are still obliged to the American people and to those Europeans who support Israel and we thank each and every last one of them. What the world needs to realize is what happens in Israel eventually will happen outside Israel. Israel is but the front lines but those lines are moving as was evidenced in France and Nigeria this past week. The front lines are moving as has been evidenced in every Arab committed or attempted terror attack. There are two lessons the world must learn and learn quickly. The first is that Israel is no different, just a few years or so further down the road the entire world is traveling down whether they realize it or not. Second is that there are no lone wolves as so many apologists are fond of calling every terror attack. These attacks are all spawned from the same source and are simply the expression of those Islamists who do not have the patience to wait for their numbers to conquer the democracies of the world in the ballot box and desire results now. They believe if they are sufficiently violent then the Western nations and their citizens will cower and surrender to Islam. The one lesson above all else about Islam which must be remembered is that one does not join Islam, one does not observe Islam, one does not convert to Islam, one does not advocate for Islam, one does not attest to Islam, what one does is surrender to Islam, you are to surrender your will to Islam and these terrorist attacks are not an attempt to convert anyone, they are attempts to force you to surrender to Islam. This is a holy war and either you triumph or you will surrender to Islam, there are no other alternatives.

Existential Crisis Most Likely to Bring New Elections

Prime Minister Netanyahu and Prime Minister in his own mind Yair Lapid had their fateful meeting where the real Prime Minister basically laid out what would be required from Yair Lapid and his party members in order to continue the current coalition. One of the problems which have struck the coalition has been the idea by the other party leaders that they should be the Prime Minister and run the government. Yair Lapid was rumored to even have attempted to patch together his own coalition and exercise a coup of sorts and take over the government through a deal with opposition parties thus forcing a new government without having new elections. Then we have the twisted dreams of Tzipi Livni who believes that she is fated to be Prime Minister because she honestly feels she has been robbed of her opportunity to lead the nation and will likely continue to pursue this phantom reality for the rest of her political life. There is the expected leader and head of the opposition parties Yitzhak Herzog, the leader of the Labor Party, has already claimed his rightful position as Prime Minister in waiting convinced that new elections will serve as the cleansing of the government of Prime Minister Netanyahu and instead bring a liberal wave sweeping Herzog into the Prime Minister slot. He was quoted speaking of the inevitable results of new elections stating, “The Labor party will lead the bloc that will win the election and give hope and a new reality for the citizens of Israel.” Apparently these Prime Ministerial candidates holding these delusional beliefs have either not read any of the polling done or they believe, as Yitzhak Herzog stated just the other day, that the polls are meaningless as they have sampled those they know and all of the people in their circle agree that new elections will place them at the head of the next government. If I were to ask those closest to me if I would win the coming elections and get to form the next coalition government I am sure that at least one or two would play along and assure me that I was not delusional, but they would also realize I was joking. Unfortunately for Israel, these Prime Minister wannabes are not joking and believe their own propaganda that they are the next chosen one.

This crisis was brought to a head when the proposed Jewish State Law which was intended to restate and reaffirm that Israel is the home of the Jewish People as well as a democracy where every citizen is guaranteed their respective rights as citizens. To any casual observer this law would be a no brainer but instead it became the initial protest vote where both Yair Lapid and Tzipi Livni threatened their voting against the Jewish State Law should it be brought to the Knesset for a vote. This led to rewording the bill in attempts to make it palatable to the few who insisted on remaining unappeasable. The reality is that both party leaders were actually more upset that the governing coalition refused to tow their line and follow their agendas and instead were following the agenda put forth by the Prime Minister and originally voted for as part and parcel of joining the coalition upon its formation. So, it now appears that Israel is about to go into another election with all the usual posturing and backstabbing starting with each party holding their disparate meetings or votes or some combination thereof in order to present their list of proposed Knesset Ministers for well past their polled expectations to receive once the election results are finalized. The expectations from current polling, something that is almost meaningless as elections have historically brought surprises and twists beyond belief, has Likud remaining the largest block of Ministerial positions and thus most likely to be chosen to form the next coalition. There are indications that the next largest party might be Jewish Home which will be a surprise to the leftist parties who are expecting the Israeli voters to cast off both Likud and Jewish Home in favor of Labor, Meretz and Yesh Atid. The polling has also indicated that Lapid’s Yesh Atid Party will only manage to win half the number of seats in the Knesset than they did in their initial and surprising success in their inaugural presentation before the voting public in the last election. These polls also depicted Tzipi Livni’s HaTnuah Party as barely making a minimal entry number of seats if even breaking the threshold required to be represented in the Knesset, let alone receive the nod to form the next government. The one hope all of those vying to be the next Prime Minister can invest their aspirations upon is that the least likely thing which was unexpected by all the pollsters, party leaders, experts and prognosticators and initially dismissed as insignificant can still resonate with the Israeli public while remaining below the radar and surging forth on election day to produce the unexpected results in the next elections completely throwing all the news outlets an unseen curve which they will be at a loss to explain. The elections may prove once again that there is no such thing as a sure bet when the voting public gets to make the decisions.

Of course new elections are not yet guaranteed as it will take a vote in the Knesset to dissolve the parliament and hold elections and there is the possibility that Yair Lapid will return to the fold and swallow his pride for the good of the coalition and by such an action garner some new supporters which always is a desired result for any politician. Lapid was given five acts he must agree to if he desires to avoid new elections. These were to stop attacking the coalition and especially to end his criticisms of the building plans in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and the Israeli relations with the United States. Next he was to transfer the six billion shekels to the defense budget as promised for their development of Iron Dome systems and armored personnel carriers. Third was to release the funding for the IDF relocation to the new Negev as was agreed upon by coalition agreements, something Lapid was blocking going so far as to have frozen this funding taking what he referred to as a principled stand. Fourth was for him to support the final version of the Jewish State Law. Finally he would be required to surrender and shelve the zero percent VAT relief bill he had been pushing for very determinedly. This final demand is expected to be the last straw and the one Lapid will refuse to meet thus likely forcing new elections.

One reading the polls would expect that Lapid would find it easier to remain in the current coalition where his Yesh Atid Party enjoys nineteen seats in the Knesset, a far cry better than the nine seats which many polls have indicated he would receive from new elections. The guessing here believes that Yesh Atid would probably suffer an even bigger embarrassment and only manage six or maybe seven seats and be on its way to extinction unless Yair Lapid could find a path back to the promises and apparent ideals he initially presented as the guiding essentials set forth in the last election. Those who suspected that much of the Zionist and nationalist line that Minister Lapid had professed was more ruse than ideological foundation as it was presented. These suspicions proved to be valid as once in the government Yair Lapid appeared to inexorably veer to the left and discard much of his nationalist agenda and instead attempt to inject his liberal slant into policy even at the expense of manipulating the budget which he had promised certain arrangements and allocations which he in the end did not deliver on. And this may only be the tip of the iceberg of potential changes which might be produced by holding new elections. The largest changes are always the ways in which the factions and parties arrange their own coalitions’ makeup. The most evident breakup has already taken place in which the one-time marriage of Likud with Yisrael Beiteinu which will also mean that Avigdor Lieberman will be leading his own party rather than being second on the combined ticket with Bibi Netanyahu taking the top slot. Netanyahu is probably expected by most to continue to take the top slot on any Likud ticket but that may not be as guaranteed as one might believe. There will be a credible challenge to Netanyahu in the voting for the Likud ticket as Danny Danon is expected to give Netanyahu a challenge from the right and even more nationalistic Zionist side of the party. We could potentially see a Likud ticket with a new face at the helm which may signal a changing of the guard within Likud even should Danny Danon fall short in his challenge. Danon is definitely one of the future leaders in Likud and the time is rapidly approaching for these new leaders to step forth. Other than the breakup of Likud and Yisrael Beiteinu, there may be other alterations to more parties and combinations than could be readily covered in this article and are best left for after the parties have all filed and made public their intents. Then there will be the leadership challenges in parties other than Likud. We have to wait and see if the somewhat controversial leader of Jewish Home, Naftali Bennett, remains the top man on their ticket and whether they will continue with their current makeup or if some factions might go it on their own. Then there may be a contest for the leadership position of the Haredi parties, largely concerning in Shas and whether the more liberal and left leaning Arye Deri remains in the number one slot or if Eli Yishai or Ariel Atias will make a successful challenge from the more nationalist and right leaning side of the party. With the passing of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef there can now be a true contest for the leadership of the Shas Party. Labor just recently had a change in leadership with Yitzhak Herzog taking the top spot replacing Shelly Yachimovitch. After all is said and done the next government may very well have a similar outward appearance to the current coalition but within there will be some changes, just how many and how far this difference proves to be remains to be seen. If Likud has a new person topping their ticket, such a change could excite the electorate or perhaps the shock of Bibi Netanyahu being replaced will be too much for the Israeli public. Then there are some polls which have shown Jewish Home Party actually replacing Likud as the leader in the Knesset and thus very likely making their first name on their Knesset list the next Prime Minister. It still remains to be seen if that name will continue to be Naftali Bennett. And then again, there is still hope for yours truly as, after all, those I have talked to still hold out hope for me to be picked to form the next government, and why not? Talk about strange happenings, that would take the cake.

The savagely and horrifically butchered Jewish Rabbis murdered in their Jerusalem Synagogue in the midst of morning prayers resulted in wild and joyous Palestinian revelry replete with the handing of candy to the children and sermons from Imams praising and lauding their heroic martyrs with political and religious leadership calling for more acts of such violence on Twitter, on Facebook, in religious services, in schools, on giant murals with the faces of the cousins who committed these savage acts and across all forms of media. The tepid denunciation given by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas resulted from direct pressure from United States Secretary of State Kerry and was drowned out by all the reverie and elative celebrations in the streets of Judea, Samaria (West Bank) and Gaza. Then there was the reaction from United States President Obama who after meekly referring to the terrorist slaughter of holy men in a house of worship with the following statement, “I strongly condemn today’s terrorist attack on worshipers at a synagogue in Jerusalem, which killed four innocent people, including U.S. citizens Aryeh Kupinsky, Cary William Levine, and Mosheh Twersky, and injured several more. There is and can be no justification for such attacks against innocent civilians. The thoughts and prayers of the American people are with the victims and families of all those who were killed and injured in this horrific attack and in other recent violence. At this sensitive moment in Jerusalem, it is all the more important for Israeli and Palestinian leaders and ordinary citizens to work cooperatively together to lower tensions, reject violence, and seek a path forward towards peace.” Did this oral equivalence of a stock announcement lacking any moral indignation or revulsion by President Obama really end warning and calling for, of all things, in his own words, “more important for Israeli and Palestinian leaders and ordinary citizens to work cooperatively together to lower tensions, reject violence and seek a path forward towards peace.”

Then there were the mainstream media reports of these absolutely detestable, abhorrent, gruesome and vile slaughters of four Rabbis in their Synagogue in the middle of their Orthodox Jewish neighborhood in West Jerusalem and nowhere near the so-called ‘occupied lands’ which either worded their report in such a manner as to imply these murders and the injuries, many so severe there may be others who will succumb to these acts of terror, as being understandable and possibly deserved. One report in the mainstream media of one European nation actually used the lead-in to their commentary stating that Israeli police killed two Palestinians in a gun battle and only well into their coverage did they manage to include there had been a terror attack committed by the two Israeli Arabs who died resisting arrest, something they likely had decided they would do in order to cement their status and shahids. Almost every report mislabeled the two terrorists as Palestinians ignoring the fact that they came from East Jerusalem and were Israeli citizens, as are all who live in East Jerusalem. When Israel annexed East Jerusalem they granted those Arabs residing to receive Israeli citizenship as was considered proper and decent handling of the people whose homes were now considered to be within Israeli borders. One of the consistent Western politicians complaints is that Israel would need to grant the entirety of the Palestinian residents citizenship if they annexed any of Judea, Samaria or Gaza, which is exactly what Israel did when they annexed East Jerusalem restoring wholeness to their capital city and also to those living in the Golan Heights which Israel has also annexed. Probably the most insensitive act was committed by the Spanish Parliament which held their vote and passed recognition of Palestine within hours after the news of the savagery committed in the Jerusalem synagogue.

These actions, statements and media coverage by the Western World has proven to any rational and sane observer to have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that Israel has been deserted and become a pariah amongst the nations and no longer can expect any fair and levelheaded treatment, judgment, considerations or interactions for the foreseeable future with the exception of Canada and the small minority who have proven by their past support to be capable of equitable treatment. What Israel must now consider is what actions are warranted and develop sufficiently thick skin and begin to turn a deaf ear to those who have proven their inability to think objectively when Israel and her foes in the Arab and Muslim worlds including and especially when it concerns the people invented by the Russian intelligence agencies, the ‘Palestinians’. So, that brings us to the question of what exactly are the causes behind these terrorist actions and is there any way to prevent them or what deterrent could be enacted which would make the price for any act of terror against Israeli civilians so dear and severe that the Palestinian leadership and Imams no longer glorify terrorism and martyrdom attacks.

The first thing which must be made clear is that the incitement which causes these murderous terrorist acts refers to the intended victims by a select set of terminology which also is informative. In the incitements they call for the murder of ‘settlers’, ‘Zionists’ or ‘Jews’ but seldom is the identity of the targets for terror referred to as ‘Israelis’. This is not a war over land, water, self-governing or any of the pretenses which the world has decided have to be the valid and sole categories which drives terrorism as these are ideas the Western minds can handle and they refuse to view these acts truthfully for what they represent. This is a war of ideologies, of religions, of the means to fulfill the prophesies of the Quran and the Hadiths. The driving impetus behind most of the actual acts of terror and definitely behind the impetus for the incitement which nurtures the societal elevation of those who die and thus receive eternal life as they have exalted themselves into martyrs, into shahids are religious and presents the murdering of Jews is an act of great honor by the Quran and dying while committing such acts guarantees one’s acceptance to heaven where they receive great gifts and servile women. This is a war to prove that Allah is greater than Hashem, that the god of Abraham, Ishmael and Muhammad is greater and the only true deity and rules over the G0d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and thus the Muslims will defeat the Jews and such is inevitable because Allah wills this and has set the eradication of the Jews as one of the steps to world domination. No amount of land that leaves even a shred of Israel and any Jews inhabiting the entirety of the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea will satisfy the bloodlust and religious fervor which drives their terrorism and satisfies the demands for vengeance in the name of Allah their Imams fill within their sermons. In the charter of Hamas it calls for the eradication of Israel and of all Jews anywhere in the world and the establishment of a caliphate which will rule over a Muslim world. Fatah only wishes to eradicate Israel.

So, what could Israel do which would possibly have the effect of ending the incitement or at a minimum reduce the quantity of such incitement, especially in the schools and in children’s programs. While giving the Palestinians land would have little if any effect on the war, permanently annexing lands inside of Israel thus expanding her borders would have severe ramifications as such an action would restate that the Jewish People and the Jewish State not only stay here but it expects to grow and fill all of the land with even more Jews as well as Christians and other religions even to include Islam. Perhaps a sliding scale with even a terror attempt which had failed triggers the annexing of a quarter of a square kilometer all the way up to five square kilometers for each fatality caused by any act of terror might dissuade the instigators from pursuing further horrors. After annexing a full square kilometer for every four rocks which are thrown at vehicles it might actually spawn attempts to curb the calls for such attacks as the cost would be very steep for minimal effect and damage. The total area of Judea and Samaria which the Palestinians reside is 5,860 square kilometers which would rapidly shrink unless there was a change in the programs reducing much of the incitement and glorification resulting in a reduction of the violence. Such a program would need to be announced and implemented without even a shred of timidity. It should also move anybody whose family was ever found to have a connection to terror outside the altered borders to a sufficient distance to avoid a repeat of relocating them too quickly in the future. If this placing a cost for terrorism on the Palestinian lands results in Israel acquiring all of Judea and Samaria, then that is where it will lead and it will have removed the terrorists from that land making it safer and will provide Israel with the defensible borders she actually needs and resolves the peace process. Should Mahmoud Abbas or Hamas leaders be responsible for allowing the terrorism to continue, this form of punishment will eventually, and more likely quite quickly, resolve the problem and Israel will have incorporated the Arabs of Judea and Samaria who were not part of the terrorist structure, a laudable goal if ever there was such out of the morass which the peace process has produced.
