The existence of anti-Semitism across Europe, Canada, the United States and the rest of the developed world, particularly on college campuses, is growing and will soon be beyond control and spread throughout society. The first waves will soon break out as today’s college students being steeped in anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic programs and virtual pogroms graduate and bring their toxic views into the political world and then the workplace and society as a whole. These indoctrinations are presented as presumed pro-Palestinian protests such as Israel Apartheid Week, mock checkpoints, demonstrations blocking campus access portraying the Israeli security barrier as the modern version of the Berlin Wall or the Warsaw Ghetto Walls as well as faux eviction notices placed on Jewish and pro-Israel students’ dorm rooms claiming their rooms are to be demolished as protest of terror home demolitions and simple, straight out physical intimidation of Jewish and pro-Israel students. For further observations and documentations one can start with these two articles; Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the Curtain and Hotbeds of Anti-Semitism in British Academia or use the results from a simple search engine results for anti-Semitism on college campus we performed as a free service to make life easier.

This article is not out to bang the drum which already has been accomplished to the point that a complete percussion section has been added to the anti-Semitism orchestrated noises around the world just covering college campuses and in some cases it spreading to public high schools. This is following a normal progression for many politicized items as has been tracked with other subjects such as global climate change, equal opportunity, affirmative actions, LGBTQ rights and other highly charged political subjects from our modern societies. We will be taking a different tact driving to perceive what is probably the one major change which if taken would help rid the entire developed world from this pernicious evil. We will leave the proof to the links above and what will probably be more than sufficient numbers of articles which are sure to continue to surface. That could change and do so with a rapidity that would astonish the world and could be right around the corner if only some specific events and particular actions taken by some crucially critical people would materialize, but such things are unfortunately not looking ready to occur. So, let’s dive in and see what needs to be shaking.

Anti-Israel Protests

Anti-Israel Protests

One of the first items which everybody a week ago thought was fair accompli and about to happen as soon as all the arrangements were done and ground was broken was the repeated statement once more by a candidate for President of the United States that the American Embassy in Israel would be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Candidate Donald Trump promised, and we quote, “We will move the American Embassy to the eternal capital of the Jewish people, Jerusalem,” speaking to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in March. Further he stated this important add-on stating, “The Palestinians must come to the table knowing that the bond between the United States and Israel is absolutely, totally unbreakable.” Well, here we are in week one and already the moving of the American Embassy to Jerusalem has gone from we will to a process where ramifications and complications must be weighed and a cost/benefit analysis performed and all the other irrelevant items being spit out all in an effort to say we are going to do the same old same old. We have already heard of Jordan, the Palestinian Authority and other Arab allies having warned the White House of severe repercussions should it proceed with the move. The threats included a threatened review of bilateral relations with both the US and Israel plus warnings of an upsurge in violence should the embassy be relocated. Please do not tell us that the Trump campaign were not aware of these ramifications when they followed the well-worn path of lying to AIPAC knowing full well that they would turn everything over to the State department and Pentagon and either or both would come back with a report warning against such rash actions as they would inflame the world and the ramifications far outweighed any benefit if there could even be an argument that there exists a benefit. Further, they would question the expense and warn that such simply was politically risky should any of the threats of violence be traced to having moved the Embassy, which the State department would warn they would most likely find as the cause of any terrorism targeting American facilities overseas.

So, Trump is not going to be as pro-Israel as advertised, and why should he? Expecting President Trump to be more pro-Israel than Israel is ridiculous, as it should be. We learned this centuries ago and it was most succinctly stated by Rabbi Hillel who wisely asked, “If I am not for myself, then who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, then what am I? And if not now, when?” When, as we mentioned yesterday, the Israeli Security Cabinet voted unanimously to delay discussion on any law annexing Maaleh Adumim, can we expect for President Trump to stick his neck out and move the American Embassy to Israel to Jerusalem when the Israelis main decision makers unanimously refused to even consider annexing just a suburb of East Jerusalem? Of course that would be ridiculous. For proof just read Hillel above and it plainly states that step one will always be us being for what we hold dear before we can expect others to act similarly in our interests. Perhaps it would be a good idea to inundate the members of the Knesset’s e-mails with copies of Hillel’s quote followed by a simply Yiddish question, “Nu?” implying to ask what have you done recently which changes anything. Israel acting weak and timid reflects on everything worldwide simply because Israel is the exemplary representation of Jewish pride and strength and of late Israel has shown neither for quite some time.

When Israel acts decisively and boldly projects strength and confidence taking whatever steps necessary to protect their people and the future of the Jewish State, it becomes reflected in the actions by Jews in the world and affects the way Jews are treated. When Israel demands respect as she did during the first half of her brief history, the world respected the Jews and allowed for Jews to be proud and live holding their heads high. As Israel has mired herself and given concession after concession with nothing to show for any of it as the land for peace more represented land for terrorism and Israel appeared weak and Jews started to wear long faces and are soon, if not already, hang their heads and shuffle along giving once again the image of the Jew ready to be kicked and ill-regarded. The ghetto Jews, as it had been called throughout much of modern history, was again the view. The Jews were those people who are to be blamed for all the ills in the world, all the wars, all the hatreds, all the destitution, all of any and every evil imaginable and the Jew could be kicked and spat upon and they would shuffle off accepting any scorn. This persona has become accepted on all too many college and university campuses in the developed world. As Israel is demeaned and seen as threatened and not really taking actions to protect themselves, this places the Jews across the world in jeopardy of attack and other forms of anti-Semitism. These acts have already made numerous cities across Europe actually dangerous to Jews to even so threatening that, as in Malmo, most of the Jews are packing up and departing. The numbers of Jews making Aliyah from France this past year was the highest since the end of World War II and many times the average for any year in the past half century. Further, the Arab world is using their oil wealth to finance those NGOs who coordinate numerous campus groups in anti-Israel and anti-Zionist programs with very obvious and well-coordinated demonstrations and events demeaning Israel and Zionism and by an extension anti-Semitism as many times these actions also lead to direct targeting of the Jews on the campus sometimes placing their lives and health in danger.

As noted in the articles linked above, there are campuses in Britain where Jews do not even apply as the atmosphere is that toxic. This is a direct result of Israeli passive resistance to terrorism and apparent trepidation to acting boldly to suppress those acting against her. This has to end but for that to come to pass Israel will need to elect a far more active and bold leadership. This can be done but first an election is necessary and the Israeli Zionists and related activists will need find and promote someone to lead one of the existing parties and then support that party with sufficient votes that they either are the party making the coalition or be the main partner in a coalition with sufficient influence to force definitive action. The United States election set in place an opportunity of a lifetime. The election of Donald Trump as President and the fact that for the first time in memory the House of Representatives, the Senate, the White House and soon even the United States Supreme Court will be Republican or conservative making support for Israel, especially as a fair percentage of Democrats in Congress also support Israel, a given, freeing Israel to act without any ramifications from Washington. This is a situation which has not been seen since the founding of the modern state of Israel and may never return again should it disappear in the next election, a certain possibility as the opponents to President Trump will throw everything they have to at least take back the House of Representatives if not also the Senate. There are no guarantees in American politics but the stars and planets have aligned along with the Congress and White House to favor a bold and take-action Israel, now all that is necessary is leadership willing to take action which will define the state of Israel and the state of Israeli politics for the foreseeable future.

The unfortunate unanimous vote by the Prime Minister’s Security Cabinet to delay considerations on annexing Maaleh Adumim must be laid in the lap of Prime Minister Netanyahu as well as any leaders of the presumed Zionist and Religious Zionist parties who are represented in the Security Cabinet such as Naftali Bennet. There can be no excuse other than fear of retributions from European nations who are acting with ill will already towards Israel and also allowing similar disregards for their Jewish citizens throughout their college and university communities and even in many cities and towns. The BDS movement is making strides thanks to the recent United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2334 which was facilitated by President Obama who had been rumored was personally involved along with his Secretary of State John Kerry as a means of tying incoming President Trump’s hands in dealing with Israel and in the Middle East. The best way to counter the disastrous implications of that UNSC Resolution is strong and defined actions performed as an in your face Israeli response. The UNSC will not be following up and passing any similar or other damaging resolution against Israel as President Trump will reinstate the American veto of such damaging resolution in the UNSC. The message must be delivered to the Knesset that the irons are hot and it is time to put the hammer to anvil and beat out a favorable fait accompli. The time to annex not only Maaleh Adumim, but Bet El, Ariel, Betar Illit, Modi’in Illit, Har Gilo, Gush Etzion at the least and all of Judea and Samaria returning the PLO, Fatah, and all other terrorist affiliated persons to Tunis or wherever in Europe they would be welcome and give the Arab Palestinians their first hopes for a bright and unencumbered future free of the kleptocracy which has stolen all hope from them for the past near quarter of a century. Will the world, particularly Europe, explode in indignation? Probably, but ride out their initial explosion and with time they will tire of complaining and when things here in Israel settle and the Arabs are slowly but surely incorporated into Israeli society and their lives improve immeasurably, there will be less and less reason to protest eventually leaving no reasons to protest. The future with a secure Israel, and this should be the sole consideration of the Knesset, is with Israel with all the lands promised us between the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea and not sharing it with any terrorist nest guaranteed to feed the world’s need to hate Israel, and by equal measure hate Jews. Israel could do more to guarantee her future and destroy anti-Semitism by simply annexing all of Judea and Samaria, removing those who would continue being a menace and reward those Arabs who desire living in peace with equality and security for all. By acting to assure Israel’s future and boldly protecting Israel, Israel would herself be combatting anti-Semitism in the world with better efficiency than any other actions could dream of accomplishing. The first question is can Netanyahu act or is he so damaged by the strains of leadership that he is no longer capable of acting definitively and securing the Israeli future? The last question is are the Zionist Israelis organized enough to start and continue programs and demonstrations demanding that the Knesset and the Prime Minister with his Security Cabinet act definitively with a minimum of delay as time is precious, and if we might repeat Rabbi Hillel, “If I am not for myself, then who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, then what am I? And if not now, when?”

Will Time Ever Silence John F. Kerry?

United States Secretary of State John F. Kerry recently gave another incendiary speech at the Saban Forum organized by the Brookings Institution’s Center for Middle East Policy and held on December 2, 2016, at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C. where he added insult to injury declaring Israel, his pet target, when he declared it guilty of the usual presumed evils and contradicted every statement made earlier by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. Some might have thought he used the same outline as Netanyahu and simply negated every statement. As is so usual for Secretary Kerry, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton before as both served the tune set by President Barack Obama, he spat out accusation against Israel making the same tired false charges as have become his stock in trade. Amongst the falsehoods were the “the settlements” for supposedly “blocking peace,” that “can’t be both democratic and Jewish,” blaming this on the disputed statistic that “there are more Arabs than Jews living between the Mediterranean and the Jordan River,” adding to his October Harvard University claim that “there’s been a massive increase in settlements over the course of the last years.” Every single one of these claims are contestable or just outright false with the claim that Israel has been founding new settlements as Israel has not declared or built a new settlement since Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin froze the creation of new communities there in 1992. Further, the claim of the existence of more Arabs than Jews between the Jordan River Kerry includes the citizens of the Palestinian Authority (PA) in the equation which would be similar as claiming that there are more Hispanics in the United States throughout the Americas and including all Hispanics from the southern tip to the northern tip of the American continents. Then again, perhaps John Kerry is another leftist who also believes that all citizens on planet Earth should vote in the United States elections as the United States culture, military, economic and other influences have effects throughout the world and might also wish to claim that the all Arabs should be permitted the vote in Israel by the same malfunctioning logic.

What has been so absolutely incredible about the majority of critics of Israel blaming her for the lack of success in negotiating a two state solution is their completely ignoring any blame being presented on Mahmoud Abbas and the PA or even Hamas for the lack of a solution. Israel has made offers which met or exceeded the original demands set by Yassir Arafat when he set his demands when speaking with President Clinton during the desperate and critical negotiations during the last half of 2000 and into January 2001 and the end of the Clinton Presidency in the extended Camp David Accords. What was amazing was after President Clinton spent most of an afternoon and into the evening talking and cajoling Yasser Arafat in Paris, Clinton received his acceptable demands which Arafat thought the Israelis would balk and never accept. To his surprise, Prime Minister Ehud Barak agreed without altering a single demand and the next morning when Arafat was presented with papers to sign which fit exactly his demands, Arafat balked stalking from the talks getting into his waiting vehicle and left flying back to Nablus where he soon executed the Second Intifada which had been planned to be the response to Israeli denial to meet his demands. Even though it took Arafat refusing blatantly to sign an agreement which matched his demands, the PA leadership, European media and much of the leftist mainstream media blamed Israel going along with Arafat’s lies word for word. These conditions were also met, actually exceeded, with another offer made in 2008 at the end of the Bush Administration which was refused this time by Mahmoud Abbas. New leader but same old intransigence yet Kerry’s blame falls only on Israel for the lack of progress. Kerry ignored the fact that Abbas has declared all the lands from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea as a sacred Islamic Waqf thus declaring all the land as holy and unable to be surrendered to Israel or any entity which is not Islamic.

Camp David Talks on a Break as President Bill Clinton, Yasser Arafat and Prime Minister Ehud Barak Stroll the Grounds of the Complex Located Ten Miles North of Frederick, Maryland

With Christmas and Chanukah beginning on the same evening, we can claim that Jews and Christians the world over could pray for peace to come to Jerusalem and all of the Holy Lands bringing safety with that peace so all can celebrate a real resolution of the threats which have plagued the Holy Lands and Holy City of Jerusalem since over a century with overt anti-Jewish rioting starting in the 1920s. There have been numerous opportunities for there to be a declared peace between the Jews and the Arabs. The first came when the British Mandate lands which were set aside by the San Remo Conference and the Treaty of Serves for the establishment of the Jewish homelands were cut with the seventy-eight percent of the lands east of the Jordan River set aside for the Palestinian Arab state which became modern day Jordan and the remaining twenty-two percent of the lands west of the Jordan River reserved for the Jewish State intended to become Israel. The Arabs refused this patrician demanding the remaining lands, the same twenty-two percent they still demand today, not just Judea, Samaria and Gaza. Then on November 29, 1947 the United General Assembly passed a non-binding resolution, General Assembly Resolution 181 proposing dividing the remaining lands west of the Jordan River, the mere twenty-two percent, evenly between the Jews and the Arabs with the Jews receiving mostly Negev Desert lands but the Arabs refused this proposition, making it null and void, and instead invaded the Jewish State on May 15, 1948 on the first day of existence with over a half-dozen armies and militias with genocidal intents. The Mufti of Jerusalem had demanded that all Arabs residing west of the Jordan River cross into Arab held lands of Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and even Lebanon to allow the Arab invading forces to simply murder every human being they came upon. Not all Arabs obeyed the Mufti’s demands and they and their descendants are today Israeli citizens with full equality and rights including the vote and every other right of a citizen. One has to wonder how many times Israel and the Jewish People must agree to make peace and the Arabs to refuse demanding instead all the land and the extermination, the cleansing of the lands of all Jews before the world awakens? That is one question which will never be broached as such would also require recognition that the Israelis have made honest sacrifices for peace repeatedly through recent history.

Had the Arabs accepted any of these offers over the past century there would be peace today but apparently that little fact has escaped observation in the rush to follow the historic practice, blaming the Jews? Looking back over history the Jews were blamed for plagues, loss at war, famine, drought, flooding, economic downturns, locusts, spoiled food stores or any other difficulty or threat to a ruler such as kings, dictators, emperors, or even Pharos (other than Egypt where many of these may have occurred in Biblical times during something often referred to as the Ten Plagues). During the Holocaust one of the accusations was that the Jews refused to fight for Germany during World War I despite the actuality that the Jews were more represented than other religions when it came to volunteers for the Great War. During the Crusades the knights and other fighters would often attack Jewish villages in order to get used to drawing blood and killing people as many of the fighters had no such experience and their officers knew they could not wait until first combat to train them to fight forcefully and effectively. Also during World War I the Germans claimed the Jews were responsible for the Communist enemies while the Russians claimed the Jews were responsible for the Kaiser German enemies. History is full of such examples throughout the past three thousand year history of the Israelite/Jewish People and the canard that Israel is an impediment to peace is just the latest. When Israel and Egypt made their peace treaty Israel evacuated over twenty communities which had been built within the Sinai Peninsula before returning it as agreed with Egypt, just one more proof that the “settlements” are no honest impediment to peace. Demanding the complete destruction of Israel and the eradication of her Jewish citizens is the real impediment to peace but as there are more than one and a half billion Muslims and under fifteen million Jews the world is siding with the numbers as well as the oil.

There has been near constant accusations and bloviating all about Donald Trump’s presumed short fuse. These attacks have come furious and provokingly and these are being used as chum in the water for the mainstream media to feast on; and believe us they have been coordinating and laying aside above the fold for every leading news-story; or should we say political editorial. These salacious assaults on Donald Trump would be far more convincing and less conniving if they were to include even a hint on Hillary Clinton’s short fuse and ill-tempered side which were a driving force behind much of what has displayed her being ill-fit to be the President of the most powerful nation on the planet. When Donald Trump has an emotional outburst, his response is verbal and short-lived. Hillary Clinton is known to carry forth for the remainder of life, hers or her newly acquired target. When Bill Clinton lost his reelection election she famously called the Christian Campaign Manager a “F—-g Jew B——d.” She became the wounded warrior and claimed that a “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy” was behind the accusations of sexual misconduct of her husband. Beyond that, Hillary took charge of the intimidation, belittling, slandering, character assassination, media control, story massaging and sundry miscellaneous attacks targeting any and all allegations and accusations against Bill Clinton thus assuring that no more women, or bimbos as the White House labeled those coming forward, would be coming up with any additional accusations or verifications against the President. This was a well-coordinated assault just as well planned and executed as was the campaign to get out the vote except this was a suppress the evidence effort.

Hillary Clinton on the Prowl for Voters

Hillary Clinton on the Prowl for Voters

If this was the extent of Hillary Clinton perfidy, there would be little evidence of her unsuitability for the office of President of the United States. Hillary claims how she has always been so transparent in all her actions that the public can trust that all her actions will be entirely open and able to be monitored by all who are interested. Apparently Hillary Clinton has completely forgotten her efforts at designing her own version of a healthcare system. Her committee contained some of the best minds in the progressive movement plus the fly in the ointment, Hillary Clinton. The public was left in the dark. Congress was left in the dark. The media, including the leftist media, was left guessing, being fed tempting morsels but actually only gristle and no red meat. The universe was led on the merry path of flowers and unicorns with all the wonderful reports of total free coverage with almost no additional costs. Perhaps the promises of everything for nothing proved to be the straw that broke the healthcare back. When Hillary Clinton and companies’ plan was presented to Congress, even the democrat faithful headed for the hills escaping as fast as they could. Her produced healthcare plan was such a monstrous and unwieldly conglomeration of regulations, legal demands, meticulous record keeping and required filings with the Federal Government that all who read the plan were flabbergasted. Commentary from numerous sources inside and outside, but close to the manners in which the plan was hatched, told of Hillary Clinton riding roughshod over all contrary opinions doing exactly as she thought best. This kind of leadership, totalitarian leadership, had actually driven a number of leading surgeons and physicians from participating or even signing the plan sent to Congress. They told of fiery outbreaks replete with profanity at some of the mildest of suggestions or alternative proposals where Hillary Clinton appeared to have lost all sense of reason.

Finally, there were numerous reports and even complaints filed against Hillary Clinton for abusive language, abusive treatment, violent outbursts and some workers fearing for their safety. These complaints and requests for transfer or alternate position from people who had nearly a lifetime of service climbing to reach a White House assignment and to then risk never making it back to their former privileged position was an acceptable sacrifice to be rid of Hillary Clinton. All of these point to Hillary Clinton not only having an explosive temper but also a short fuse with a vengefully long memory. Such was a temperament of throwing items, oft of value, for periods as long lasting as an entire day and even lasting through the next day or beyond as well. Some who have been found to get on the wrong side of Hillary Clinton have related that despite attempts to settle their differences or even apologize have failed dashed on the craggy cliffs which make up the beach at shoreline Clinton. Hillary Clinton has proven herself to be a person with a malleable core where beliefs come to die especially after receiving poor poll ratings. Taking the sum of these parts produces a picture of an unbalanced individual whose coworkers fear working anywhere near her spheres of influence.

Many have spoken similarly of Donald Trump, but from most appearances his tantrums have been largely bluster with little threat of physical violence, at least before the October Surprise of crass claims of sexual violence. Given the claims of violent actions, we would feel safer with a Donald Trump Presidency than a Hillary Clinton Presidency. Unfortunately, elections remain out by three weeks and it is still anybody’s election to win or lose. Donald Trump will be facing sexual harassment charges most of which are likely people coming forth for their moment of fame. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is facing a truly deep character fault which will have a direct effect on her Presidency. As to which one is most likely to get the United States embroiled into a war, it would be Hillary Clinton with her establishment of a “No Fly Zone” probably on Aleppo could escalate with the downing of a Russian fighter jet leading to a direct confrontation. That is but a single potential point of contention where a single miscalculation could lead to great problems soon thereafter. That alone is food for thought.
