Can There be a Single Palestinian State?

This question has been raised numerous times as has the other question of whether or not the lands west of the Jordan River were recognized until the November 29, 1947 United Nations illegal vote to further divide the area set aside for the Jewish State under International Law which was rejected by the Arab League who decided on a war of genocidal annihilation and for taking all the land over the dead bodies of the Jewish State and every Jew they could lay their hands upon. It was not Israel’s fault they were unable to defeat the nascent Jewish State. It was not the fault of Israel that Jews have been persecuted and expelled from most Middle East Countries and they managed to find refuge in Israel, a country smaller than New Jersey. Jimena.org reported that since 1948, 850,000 Jews have been expelled from Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen and other Middle East Countries. Israel is not “Occupied Palestinian Land”. Israel is the homeland of the Jewish People and the only safe haven for Jewish Refugees in the Middle East. Israel knows that should the entirety of the case for another Arab failed state to be formed from the lands which were the British Mandate ever come before any International Court including, or even especially, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) all the Israelis will need do is present the Balfour Declaration, the San Remo Conference Report, the Treaty of Sèvres and Article 80 of the United Nations Charter and the court will have no choice but to award the lands west of the Jordan River in its entirety to Israel and the Jewish People and possibly allow for the placing the entirety of the “Palestinian People” across the Jordan for the Arab League to decide their fate. We already know what the Arab League will do, they will immediately capture and hold every last Arab and place them is squalid camps to rot until time and the wearing down of the will of the world results in a war against Israel in order to give these people, the new refugees plus all the old ones, a land atop the dead bodies of the Jewish State. The Arabs will become additional refugees cared for by UNRWA which will demand funds from the Western and non-Arab Worlds with the Arabs pledging but rarely providing any aid except in the form of explosives for bomb-belts for terrorists to use to blow up Israelis, most often women and children as those setting the explosives are just as craven and cowardly as their leadership. But what about the viability of an Arab Palestinian State, is such a thing possible?

Ah, yes, that chimera known as the Arab Palestinian State. That would require the impossible, the locating of leadership acceptable to the entirety of the leadership, the most fractured of leadership, of the so-called Palestinian People. Such an entity would be as impossible as resolving the untying of the Gordian Knot, the knot which Alexander the Great was unable of untying and instead cleaved in two with his sword instead. The initial problem is the obvious need for reconciliation between Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Arab Palestinian Authority (PA) as well as Fatah which rules the PA. Hamas is an Islamist group which is largely sponsored by Iran though remaining loyal on paper to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) and their being a sworn Sharia State of religious extremists sworn to the annihilation of the Jewish State and every citizen within including the Arabs and the further extermination of all Jews throughout the world on their way to establishing the World Caliphate. The PA is a nationalist entity also sworn to the destruction of the Jewish State, the Zionist Entity as they have refused to accept the statehood of Israel, and the murder of every Zionist and Jew found within replacing it with another Arab democratic dictatorship where the casting of votes is secondary to who does the counting and verification of the election and the votes cast. This is the simplest of problems facing unifying the Arab Palestinians and forming a state, the unification of the governments in Gaza and Nablus is the obvious divide and step one.

Gordian Knot and Alexander the Great

Gordian Knot and Alexander the Great

Then there are the additional problems facing anybody seeking the real and true leadership of the two separate and unequal factions of Hamas and the PA. Let us take the Gaza Strip and the rule there of Hamas and see what is within that onion as we peel back the layers to the very cores hidden within. Hamas currently controls the majority of the lands and people but faces threats to their claim to the throne by a number of other groups, some even more viable than Hamas can itself offer. The most evident threat comes in the form of the true and faithful representative of the MB which has not been corrupted by Iran, the Islamic Jihad group. Just as Hamas was the religious fanatic groups against Fatah, Islamic Jihad is the pure entity uncorrupted by power and outside influences carrying on the good fight for the MB. They claim to be the true and clean representatives for the religious Jihad being waged against the Jewish State and accuse Hamas of corroborating with Israel whenever they face political realities and enforce a ban of the firing of rockets into Israel. The enforcement on bans of firing rockets until such time as an actual attack plan on Israel has been formulated and formalized is imposed by Hamas, waiting until then for choosing an actual warring front against Israel being readied and the supporting rocket fire planned and to their (Hamas’s) advantage. Until that time Hamas is unwilling to choose to fight Israeli presumed oppressive and subjugating rule and occupation in Gaza. The problem with this presumption is simple as Israel departed the entirety of Gaza in a painful destruction of the Israeli Jewish communities which some remain unable to restart their lives and farms within Israel. Israel turned the entirety of Gaza over to the PA who simply handed it over to Hamas after Hamas won the elections within the PA legislative body largely on the support from the Gazans voting in their favor. They then conquered Gaza taking it in an abrupt and short coup where a fair number of PA members were killed or sent fleeing back to Nablus in Judea and Samaria and the center of power for the PA. That would be the final rift to repair and likely the most difficult.

Islamic Jihad likely has the support of what would become their rivals should the Islamic Jihad Islamists ever take control of Gaza. Hamas has become detested because they refrain from firing rockets into Israel before they have actual achievable objectives which are feasible and the detailed plans worked out and practiced. Hamas rules Gaza through intimidations and a strict enforcement by their Force 21 elite fighters. Hamas has also enlisted the support of many of the Tribesmen who also sport fighting units which they control and could turn on Hamas immediately as they would show weakness and vulnerability. Islamic Jihad could likely expect the support of the Islamic State, al-Qaeda, and various other crime bosses and Islamists itching to constantly fight against Israel with no real game plan or overriding planning which Hamas insists are a necessary evil best carried out in calm but seething silence. Further, the Islamic State would like to see their leadership become the ruling force in Gaza as well as in Judea and Samaria which would assist their claims to proper rule representing the will of the people. If either Islamic Jihad or Islamic State were to assume power in Gaza, they would be ruling under their claim to have replaced Hamas completely. Should such a coup occur the initial signs would be the slaughtering or execution of the leadership of Hamas along-side any Hamas known allies caught using mass hangings with which to clean the area of “traitors” and all opposition.

Such a sustained journey to capture any and all their leadership would present such a challenge that the immediate response would result in a reduction in numbers which Hamas claims is the heart of the resistance as well as the knowledge of where the supplies are stored which would be required to continue the war of attrition against the State of Israel. As soon as Islamic Jihad or any other group might rise to power they would be facing the same threats to their rule as currently are faced by Hamas. They would necessarily immediately execute massive rocket fire on Israel which would be countered by the Iron Dome Systems placed near every main city and targeting the front lines against any current Hamas rocket and missile threats. The group taking over Gaza would face the daily problems of housing those whose homes have been destroyed or rendered unsafe through action taken in response to former threats from Israel. The new leaders in Gaza would learn quickly that running a city, a province, requires people dedicated to cleaning of Gaza and providing security, the rule of law and a myriad of other services plus the need under all of this of a fully volunteer force which would do as their passage to safety. Ruling a people requires such not so trivial problems such as a currency valued to continue trade of goods and services, trash pick-up, power generation, water purification and distribution, sewage treatment and numerous other relative works required by any modern society. Much of what Gazans receive are gifts provided through Israel which includes electricity, water, natural gas and other seemingly necessary items. The demands of leadership such as these and a million other otherwise petty actions would take on lives of their own demanding resolutions and access to resources, resource management would become an important and new task requiring a talented entity to carry out such a demanding position. Any new leadership would face a very steep learning curve and an unforgiving public demanding immediate attention and relief.

Then there soon comes the challenges of payments for services provided and rendered which requires a tax or other money stream and sooner or later the Islamic Jihad becomes the Israeli puppet masters preventing near constant rocket fire not desiring the additional need to command during a raging conflict with Israel and Hamas would now become the pristine and clean choice to attack Israel unmercifully. These comparisons and different leadership eventually would require some form of coalition of the groups sharing the same philosophy concerning Israel to lead in Gaza. Whomever it turns out to be leading such a groups would necessarily be a religious jihadist who believes that Islam must invariably rule the entireties of planet Earth, that Islam will eradicate the Jews from the Holy Lands and then the rest of the Jews around the world, and further that Allah will solve every problem and break down every barrier they might face. Should such a force become a viable leader for the entirety of the planet, the industrialized and modern world could forget all about individual freedoms as under Sharia it is all about the collective underlying Ummah which blindly obeys the Imams who rule religiously over the planet taking from it any will to live free and act independent of the Imam’s choking iron fist. That is the promise Gaza offers for the Arab Palestinians and eventually the world. There is no difference between Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Daesh, the Islamic State (ISIS).

Over in Nablus is a different monster and it goes by the name of Mahmoud Abbas and his sons. They have an economic relationship with power and found that power enriches at a level commensurate with corruption. Mahmoud Abbas at age eighty will eventually fall and then comes the free-for-all to determine his successor. There is no heir apparent though there are a few favorites. There is a list of who’s-who of the Fatah ruling elite all of which desire to replace Abbas. Here is that list with their jihadist names in parenthesis and then we will talk about some of the more powerful and likely successors to Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen): Al-Tayyeb Abdul Rahim (Abu al-Tayyeb), Zakaria al-Agha (Abu Ammar), Azzam al-Ahmed, Mahmoud al-Aloul (Abu Jihad), Marwan Barghouti, Ahmad Sakhr Khlousi Basseiso (Sakhr Basseiso), Mohammad Dahlan (Abu Fadi), Hassan Ahmad Abu Einein (Sultan Abu Einein), Saeb Erekat (Abu Ali), Othman Abu Gharbieh, Muhammad Ghneim (Abu Maher), Muhammad al-Madani, Sharif Ali Meshaal (Abbas Zaki) (Abu Meshaal), Jamal Muhaisen, Nasser al-Qudwa, Jibril Rajoub (Abu Rami),Nabil Abu Rudeinah, Nabil Shaath (Abu Rashid), Hussein al-Sheikh, Mohammad Shtayyeh, Tawfiq al-Tirawi (Abu Hussein), and Salim Zanoun (Abu Adib). Saeb Erekat (Abu Ali) had the misfortune of being the heir apparent to Mahmoud Abbas but Abbas is viewed with such a jaundiced eye by the Arab Palestinians that anybody Abbas would support they would equate with poison. Saeb Erekat has another problem in that while he would be a competent leader he does not have the stomach for what would be demanded of him to remain in office. Marwan Barghouti is another of the terrorist arm of Fatah and is currently serving five life sentences in an Israeli High Security Center in which the “inmates” who are all Arab Palestinian terrorists and their planners and bomb makers, a really sweetheart of a group, live with generous conjugal visitation rights, sporting events such as volley ball, soccer and others, often hold extended family picnics and other activities more in common with summer camp than prison camp which was proven when a terrorist stabber a few years back was insistent that the IDF security checkpoint soldiers arrest him to the point of repeatedly attacking them until he got his wish. When his case came before a judge he pleaded to be found guilty of the crimes he had confessed to having committed despite the judge knowing different. When finally he was broken down to giving an honest confession it turned out he wanted to be sentenced to life in prison for having killed at the least five Israelis so he could be well employed and eat well and having his family be financially well off and taken care of due to his “criminal acts murdering Israelis.” He confessed that he could not find work as a carpenter as those jobs were given to family and friends and not to actual carpenters. He eventually was simply released and cleared of all charges and was warned that should he come before the courts again he would be tried for perjury and imprisoned with no Israelis lives to his discredit. Back to Marwan Barghouti, possibly a competent leader but also a terror mastermind who plans bombings which has made his the poster child of the European Union, many European government agencies and the United States State Department. His candidacy is supported by many in the West which may be his undoing. Already there are calls from across Europe for his release so he can run against Abbas should there ever be elections. Ever be elections, now That’s Funny but also so predictable and tragic.

Mohammad Dahlan (Abu Fadi) is one of the favorites of the rank and file terrorist members of Fatah and a solid politician in the most corrupt of ways, which is what qualifies him for the job of replacing Abbas. He is another one the Western World finds irresistible. We believe we have figured out why the West falls for some of the worst of these candidates, they support any of the terror masters who can wear an Armani suit and look comfortable doing so. Dahlan is another of those who sends others to their deaths in the cause he believes people should commit even unto death to believe in. He claims to have such strong beliefs in the elimination of the “Zionist Entity” yet somehow he is still with us. Some of the others with which we are familiar include Jibril Rajoub (Abu Rami), Nabil Shaath (Abu Rashid), and Tawfiq al-Tirawi (Abu Hussein). We copied the original list from a PDF formatted report titled Fatah Central Committee Profiles which has a complete profile for each person and far more information than we could ever contain in a single article. We advise those interested to seek this and use it as an introductory piece covering the aspirants to succeed Abbas as Chairman of the Fatah Party. Whether that would suffice to give them a leg up for assuming other positions Mahmoud Abbas holds which include but are not limited to Fatah Chairman, Palestinian Authority President, Secretary General of the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization terrorist group), and considered the general spokesperson free from terrorist ties. That position is held despite the common knowledge that Abbas was instrumental in the planning and arranging finances and travel for the Munich Olympics terrorist squads who murdered the Israeli Olympic Team and coaches. It is also known that Abbas has taken numerous other planning and financing position assisting with terrorism. Still, as anyone can see, once Mahmoud Abbas no longer rules in Nablus the ensuing warfare which will come before a new leader emerges guarantees the next leader will be the person with the deepest terror support and a man of weapons, not peace, thus changing nothing.

So, even if one could arrange the two main geographic sides settling their differences and expectations through elections, there would be no guarantee the elections would resemble anything representative and is but a pipe dream. Even after complete elections there will be those on either side who will desire contesting the results by assuming whatever power they are capable through force of arms. Then one need address the individual elements within each side and arrange for a period of international control preventing any criminal tampering with the election material such that their preferred candidate, often themselves, wins the positions desired. Then would be the real and actual fun of assuring those elected would survive long enough to assume their office and then actually get to conduct business without the same corruptions taking over the government.

That is your Arab Palestinian State, part fascist, part religious fanatics, all violence and tampering with government and all this with an undercurrent of a terror war with Israel driving decision making and diversion of funds to weapons purchases and development. As we have witnessed in Gaza, the allotting of concrete and cement with rebar and much other construction materials being provided under the demands of the European Union for the rebuilding of the residential structures so the hundreds, if not thousands, of homeless Gazans could return to homes and apartments has failed. All that has been built are tunnels under the border into Israel for kidnapping Israelis or attacking Kibbutzim. There was sufficient provisions for the rebuilding of numerous apartment buildings yet almost none were constructed. Instead of apartments or other facilities for the people of Gaza over ninety percent according to estimates was confiscated for use in building tunnels under the border and into Israel to carry out terror attacks. The redirecting of these provisions was committed from under the “watchful” eyes of the United Nations and European Union. What was the suggested solution to this theft and tunnel construction? The forces that are in the positions of power decided that what was required would be a constant stream of construction materials until the apartments and other structures would be completed claiming that not all the material could be stolen if sufficient were passed across the border daily. They also pointed out that the only way that sufficient material could be transferred would be to remove the restraints and allow trucks to cross freely into Gaza from anyplace and at any time. Hamas and Islamic Jihad could not steal that much that fast and that would end their interference with the rebuilding projects. These people are simply brilliant beyond comparison such that it makes one wonder where they find such mentally defective people. The alternative is even more frightening to contemplate, that these people are actively trying to assist in the murder of over six-million more Jews in Shoah II, the wrath of the European Union with the return of the fascist anti-Semites. When the Jews stated emphatically and resolutely, “Never Again,” we meant “Never Ever Again” even if we need take on the entire world, something that often appears to be knocking at our doorstep ever closer each day after the last. Be warned that if that is what the world doth demand of us, then that is where we will stand, but do not expect us to fight alone as there are a few hundreds of millions for whom standing with the Jews this time will be their pleasure though they fathom it as a calling not to be denied.

Would Reykjavik Mind Answering One Question Before Boycotting

Reykjavik, Iceland’s Capital City, has taken a vote on a motion presented by Björk Vilhelmsdóttir, an outgoing councilwomen representing the Social Democratic Alliance, to boycott all products from Israel, not just the “territories” or the “occupied areas” but all goods Israeli until Israel has pulled all Israelis and other objects of the occupation from all Palestinian areas and allowed the Palestinian peoples to have their own independent homelands. There have been claims that since there have been no actual boycott items list, that this was purely a symbolic vote with some claiming it was just done as a parting gift for the retiring councilwoman. Might we suggest an acrylic award, as it appears gold watches are rather expensive and retiring councilpersons may be a short lived retirement should they feel they miss telling others how to live their lives. There may be a problem with meeting their demand even if Israeli leaders were at all inclined to fold before this immeasurable pressure; namely, exactly what are the actual acceptable borders for these so-called “occupied areas” so that Israel could satisfy the demand being made by the Reykjavik city council.

Truth be told, I am not all that surprised by the vote in Reykjavik. Nor would I be surprised by any of the leftist government councils, parliaments and other governances taking and passing similar pieces of legislation. I also do not see any of these governmental organizations actually implementing their “symbolic” legislation as it would, if carried to the extreme that Reykjavik’s legislation would cover as that would mean junking their computers, erasing their security programs leaving their networks open to malware and viruses except for the problem that the processors would have been removed already as part of their boycott. One must wonder if anybody with a stent permitting their hearts to function would have them replaced with the less effective older models which do not carry the medicine additive which makes the Israeli stents far more effective. The list of items which would need be replaced or completely done without is extensive and surprising. But as the government of Iceland has all but voided the Reykjavik boycott which a spokesperson for the Reykjavik Council stated that the boycott was not readily able to be implemented and was more symbolic than an actual policy. Their admitting the lack of intent to enforce the boycott when they found themselves being called and ridiculed or challenged, depending which groups’ reactions one chooses, put to sham any intent for enforcement.

Before posting today it has come to our attention that Reykjavik Mayor Dagur B. Eggertsson has realized a change of heart and decided that the decision is to be withdrawn. Apparently he claimed stating to the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service RUV, “Yes, the decision was poorly prepared. In the past I have taken great pride in preparing all big decisions thoroughly. I’ll admit here and now that I am angry with myself for not doing that, and for not having prepared the decision as well as I would have liked to. This was very unfortunate.” He may have been better off leaving this as his statement but, as with all too many politicians he added as a further explanation, “I have previously stated that we could have been far clearer in the text of the decision, even if the idea had always been this. It is important we make absolutely clear that this was the case.” Oh, so it was not phrased well enough and if the wording had been crafted a little more subtlety it would have been better? No, no matter how you phrase enjoining your city with the BDS movement and doing so up to the neck banning all things Israel is not going to fly as finally the world’s conscience has had enough ever since the BDS fiasco in Spain with Matisyahu being uninvited and then reinvited after the brouhaha appears to have been the bromide behind your limp and half wet backtracking. May this be the reaction for all other BDS against Israel so this sorry chapter can be brought to an end here and now. On the brighter side, Iceland’s Prime Minister Sigmundur Davio Gunnlaugsson called Reykjavik’s actions “Absurd.” But that still leaves us with “The Great Question.”

We want somebody in Europe, the Arab League, the Arab Palestinian Authority (PA), Fatah, or anyone with some authority to answer as nobody has answered this necessary question which is required if Israel is to comply with vacating the lands claimed as part of Palestine by the various Arab entities to finally answer with maps and GPS coordinates and a final statement defining exactly what would be required of Israel to satisfy the Arab demands for the formation of some amorphous, undefined entity cynically referred to as Palestine. What is required before Israel gives up an additional millimeter of lands is a definition of exactly what borders are required to be vacated in order for all claims, all terrorism, and all other negative actions, accusations, protested or other negative actions against Israel to cease, end, and be permanently terminated and Israel allowed to live in peace with secure borders. Israel cannot accept what the European Union, the United Nations, European governments, NGOs, or any other entity other than Mahmoud Abbas and backed by Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezballah, Iran and all the rest using the “Palestinian occupation” as their reason d’etre in denouncing and calling for Israel to be boycotted, attacked and terrorized or otherwise attempted to be destroyed, end of the entire demanding puzzle, and satisfactory conclusion, period. We in Israel have read of claims by Mahmoud Abbas which are not helpful, not helpful at all.

Abbas Accepting Map Depicting Palestine Replacing all of Israel and Looking Extremely Pleased

There is the one statement that Mahmoud Abbas made where he claimed that they only demand that the state of Palestine be formed with the twenty-two-percent which belongs to the Palestinian people. This was immediately locked onto and then defined as Abbas demanding just the areas of Judea and Samaria that Jordan once occupied and renamed West Bank. Others said that Abbas was only demanding the “West Bank” and Gaza. One would think that with Abbas claiming he just desires the twenty-two-percent that belongs to the Palestinians that everybody would have gotten their handy-dandy maps, protractors, compasses and calculators and all come to the same agreement on what Abbas was demanding. This begs then why there were such different descriptions. The “West Bank” measures 5,860 km2 and Gaza measures 360 km2 making the combined total 6,220 km2 while Israel (pre 1967 War) 20,582 km2 we can work out the math and the closest we get to that twenty-two-percent is if Abbas is only claiming the “West Bank” without East Jerusalem or Gaza which produces a figure of twenty-two and two-tenths percent of the land. There is another division which is far more familiar with in the Middle East and it comes from the British formation of Transjordan, today’s Jordan. When Britain divided up the British Mandate along the Jordan River it took the lands east of the Jordan River which measures seventy-eight percent of the lands to make what was then referred to as the Arab Palestinian State and the remaining twenty-two percent west of the Jordan presumably reserved for the Jewish State. If one were able to dig out the actual audio of Abbas he precisely stated that the end of the struggle with the Zionist entity when Palestine was established on its twenty-two percent of the Mandate lands. There were two Mandates in the area, the British Mandate and the French Mandate and the Palestinian state, should one ever be formed, would come only from the British Mandate and the only land mass measuring almost exactly twenty-two percent of Mandate lands is the lands, all the lands, west of the Jordan River, or the land which the pro-Palestinian Arab demonstrators chant, “From the (Jordan) River to the (Mediterranean) Sea, Palestine must be free.” The only other claims Abbas has made is that he would accept temporarily a settlement where the West Bank would be made into Palestine but that must be accepted if it includes the “Right of Return” for over five-million Arabs being thrust into Israel as he specifically states claiming they are Israel’s problem, not the Palestinian Authority’s problem. He also claims that the Arab Palestinians also must be permitted to continue their resistance to the occupation until all of Palestine is freed. What could he possibly mean by all of Palestine, the rest of Palestine? He means and always had meant that Palestine must replace Israel and the Jews must be expelled or otherwise removed from the Arab Lands by whatever becomes necessary.

But why would anybody trust that I might be stating any truths, anything completely honest. I do not demand such but until somebody can produce anything contrary where it gives actual demands which the Arab Palestinian Authority and the Arab nations still at war with Israel such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and a number of others and then we can begin to negotiate a solution which recognizes final borders where the Jews and the Arabs all get secure and recognized borders, security, peace, and an end to all further struggle or violence. We might take a glance at some of the depictions of the proposed State of Palestine from Abbas’s own PA schoolbooks and other media.

Palestinian Textbook Maps depicting Palestine as replacing Israel, not sharing the land in peace and security as the Europeans and the rest of the West insist to misrepresent

As stated in my plea above, please simply get Mahmoud Abbas or Saab Erekat to lay out a map depicting the borders for their idea of a Palestinian state which will signify a complete end to the terrorist war and all other forms of conflict including Lawfare and the BDS threat and allow for a permanent peace with all claims of occupation settled and final borders providing peace and security. It is a simple request which Yasser Arafat refused to define and Mahmoud Abbas has refused to define and Saab Erekat after him will also fail to define because once they reveal that the only solution they will accept is the destruction of Israel replacing it with Palestine and then the destruction of Jordan then Lebanon as Palestine moves to unify the world under their banner. There is little difference between Hamas and Fatah except that Hamas makes their claims in the name of Islam and Fatah makes its claims in the name of Palestine. Both groups believe they have been destined by Allah or the fates to rule the entire world. The western nations have forgotten the drive which had driven so many in history of conquering the world. Where the Western leaders have resigned and forgotten their former designs on world conquest but that drive is what drove the colonization of the Americas, Asia and Africa and is what is driving many in the Islamic world today. The drive for world conquest drives Islamic State as it does Hamas and Fatah as well as the Saudi Wahabbists and the Mullahs of Iran who believe by causing worldwide chaos they can hasten the return of the Mahdi who will lead them in the final conquest of the world for Allah and the Shiite form of Islam, well, unless Islamic State is able to reinitiate the Caliphate and conquer the world for Allah and the Sunni form of Islam. When their aim is the world does anybody really and honestly believe that they would allow Israel, all 20,582 km2 to stand in their way? Israel is just their appetizer and once they have gobbled down the appetizer, if they ever do, the soup and salad is Europe and Africa, the main course is the United States, Russia and China and the desert is whatever is left over unless we can make a space station or Moon and Mars bases as the Quran does not exactly command the conquest of those of mankind who managed to flee the planet before Islam took over everything, so they might be safe if they are self-sufficient. But just get a commitment that spells out what will satisfy their bloodlust and will bring the terrorism, rockets and war to an end, and then decide what should be done.

One last warning, look up the meaning in Islam of the world, the concept is more appropriate, of “Taqiyya.” That last bit kind of puts a wrench into the works, doesn’t it. Below is a small poster giving a basic and simple definition of the concept of “Taqiyya” followed by a short four minute video from the Center for the Study of Political Islam also about “Taqiyya.”

Governing Stagnation on Both Sides of Arab-Israeli Conflict

From appearances the Israeli government has decided the time has come to act decisively and end the conflict once and for all before the old guard loses its control and is pushed from power by younger and more aggressive leadership. In the past five years many of the old lions have wandered off the playing field making an appearance here and there still reliving their old rivalries and people listen if only to remember. Soon those memories will crystalize the legacies of the leadership which has ruled the roost, in some cases ruled just a bit too long and their legacies may pay for their refusal to slide quietly into the shadows only to emerge as elder statesmen who also serve a purposed. Often that purpose is to come out and save the new leadership from itself and at other times to make a bold statement which either rallies the people at a crucial point or to give a last shot hope to relive their influential days and remind all why they prefer to remember the old leaders fondly. Often if a leader had been at the head of a party so long that only the few can remember who their predecessor was, it is past time for some change. Unfortunately any leader who has survived that long at the head of a party it is often due to their suppression of those who might challenge them either though subordinating them or by destroying their credibility and squashing all opposition. This is a weakness of a Parliamentary system which has no limit on the number of years one is permitted to hold the position of Prime Minister. When anybody is permitted to hold that position indefinitely then they can ride at the top of their party over decades which stymies the younger leaders from attaining the top position and eventually forms an oligarchic echo chamber which places a stationary grasp on the reins of power preventing change or growth from below which is nearly impossible to toppled from within. This creates a catastrophic change from without leaving a vacuum at the top of the Party as the Party will eventually fall and find its support became as old and unable to adapt as that leadership had become.

Such systems often come about because a situation comes about which defines elections and supports a particular view for the public for as long as the condition remains unchanged. Such situations are often defined by a conflict such as the rule of Sir Winston Churchill becoming Prime Minister of England for the duration of World War II as he had proven to be the man who recognized the threat and had warned about the errors being made and thus had all the appearances of being the man destined to lead England through the war. This he did and has received mostly acclaim but has also faced some critiques far less complimentary. Still, once the war had ended England moved on and Churchill did return to hold the office of Prime Minister briefly but proved to be the man of the hour whose hour had passed. But what will happen if the situations remain static or slowly escalating but never quite boiling over? Then the man of the hour can become the man of the decade and even the indispensable man leading until the situation finally is relieved or it changes drastically thus ending the ability to continue the crisis situation as impending and thus allowing for half measures and other acts which do little to change the situation, often a dire situation, but also perpetuating a stagnation which becomes unhealthy for the nation.

So, what are the signs of such a leadership? There will be measures and action often taken against those who challenge the status-quo and pose a threat to bring the long challenge to a head which will demand actual solutions instead of halfway acts which only serve to kick the can down the road. This can have been observed in the Arab Palestinian leadership where even when the man at the top is replaced it is by his trusted and longtime second in command. This was exactly what occurred when Yasser Arafat died and Mahmoud Abbas became the man of the hour. Now we are watching the slow replacement of Mahmoud Abbas as he steps down from one of his myriad of leadership positions and even is permitted to all but appoint his successor, Saab Erekat. We will likely see other familiar names become more prevalent as Mahmoud Abbas slowly sinks into the sunset to enjoy his ill-gotten booty retiring to somewhere most likely in Europe or elsewhere that he believes will allow him a long retirement. The other alternative is this change has been forced upon him as younger and more aggressive segments of the society are beginning to beat the drums of change. Once that tune starts to escalate and you have held the position basically defined as President for Life, well, then your life may become chopped off such that you are replaced through a coup. After these coups come, they retain the forms of the apparatus of the former governance leaving them in place; many of the affirming ‘yes men’ remain in place as they can be counted upon to be supportive and not actually seeking ultimate power. Then the new leadership will give the ‘old guard’ a choice of early retirement or the less healthy forced retirement. The wise take the early retirement and usually retire to distant shores where they will be welcomed and granted safe keeping.

So we will now be able to watch as Mahmoud Abbas will slowly give over his multitude of positions of power possibly holding to his leadership of the Fatah Party simply because he would then be allowed to have a security detail guarding him from any unforeseen acts of greater permanence if situations appear to be calling for his return as the new leadership does not meet expectations. Often leaders who self-terminate their hold on power get to live longer though they will face getting up each morning for the rest of their lives not being the man of the hour with all looking to them for favor and decisive leadership. Of course continued leadership demands that there be no decisive leadership, just the appearance of such. These types of situations are what likely spawned the coining of the phrase, “the more things change, the more they remain the same.” Often these apparent leaders who appear to rule because they are the one who has proven to be most understanding and decisive in addressing the problems of the hour despite the fact that the crisis never ends and only seems to remain just slightly more desperate as the months tick by. The people are placated by the sacrifice of those who are a threat to the leadership of the determined leaders while power is distributed to people the leader trusts to serve the status-quo and retaining the man of the hour as the man of the decade or even decades. These support staff are often well taken care of and every once in a while one must be sacrificed in order to allow for the man at the top to scapegoat them as the reason decisive actions were not taken when the opportunity was present and the man of the hour faced that hour. When facing that hour, that critical moment where everything hinges on the actions or lack of actions of the leadership, the one who desires longevity over all else will allow that moment to pass while a real leader who really desires to be the man of the hour and be remembered for taking that opportunity no matter the result and caution to the wind, they act. Real leaders seek to have such moments where they face the crucial test as that is what defines them.

Such leaders are the great ones remembered for all time. They faced the greatest test of their lives and acted. Some come through victorious and are lauded before they pass slowly into a satisfied retirement and others fail and bring ruin for which the people often must find a leader who can repair the damage. Strangely enough that can be the same person who failed but who has convinced the people that they have learned and grown as a result of their error and are also capable of presenting a clear path back. Often this requires them to succinctly define their failure and promise to make the necessary repairs no matter how painful, preferable personally painful but often also for the people and the nation, but necessary after systemic failures. Then there are the lingerers, the leaders whose greatest share of efforts are to perpetuate their importance and holding of positions of leadership. They come into prominence by presenting themselves as the solution to the biggest problems facing the party, group, community, company and even nation and they appear to have a firm grasp on the problems of the day and prove themselves as the sole person qualified to face such threats or problems competently. Such leaders are often great at defining the problem and stating a clear path to the solution and ameliorating the problem and seeing the way beyond where calmer waters prevail. These leaders will always have ready a plan which will work and they like reminding all that they are the person of this hour and after all, who are you going to trust? In most nations there is a time limit or term limitation of the service of any person to lead in a democratic form of government, be it a republic, parliamentary or some other representative governance, for a set period and not beyond. There are many ideas on how best to limit such rulers, be it two terms, a decade or whatever limitation is put forth in the constitution, charter or other delineating definition of the workings of the national governance. Omitting limitations on holding positions of power can lead to stagnation in the governance which is potentially more dangerous than having the wrong person at the helm as the wrong person somehow chosen as the leader is usually removed at the next elections if not sooner. But what if the person placed in the highest office is mainly interested in not taking any risks which might force them from power and you have a recipe for stagnation where the pressing situation is the permanence of the situation.

This may be the situation which has been present in the Arab-Israeli situation and there are positions galore which appear to place their greatest promise in promoting a permanent standoff where neither side desires an end to the problem because once a solution is found then their usefulness as the uncontested leader eventually ends as the situation boils over, often at home when the people have had enough of living with an apparently stagnant threat they know should have been resolved ages ago. The problem with the Arab-Israeli problem is that powers that exist beyond the problem have advantage in fomenting permanence of the problem thus retailing their importance to their often dependent side of the contest. This has been true of both sides in the Arab-Israeli problem, none of the powers that be desire a conclusive resolving of the problem thus they perpetuate the problem by limiting the more powerful side and supporting the more vulnerable side. This is further perpetuated by the Arab League because they will only accept one solution, the end of Israel as the state for the Jewish people and a place for the Arabs who are referred to not as the Arabs they are but as the Palestinians who the other Arab nations refuse to allow to live within their lands as giving them equal rights would remove their man-made unique identity which is wielded like a maul bashing and denting Israel but never delivering that final knockout as doing so would normalize the Arab Palestinians and thus allowing their return to within the Arab peoples body, something they know they must avoid as these Arabs have been transformed into a weaponized people incapable of living in peace with their neighbors. The Arab nations know that without Israel they would be facing the so-called Palestinians in their own backyards. Thus they must keep the problem static.

The United Nations, particularly their human rights divisions, have built a multi-trillion dollar a year business around the Arab-Israeli conflict and thus have a financial reason to perpetuate the situation. They use a similar method as does the Arab League, checking Israeli use of power to prevent a resolution while granting the Arab Palestinians with immunity while blaming Israel for the terrorism and all other situations perpetuated by those outside powers with the greatest influence. The Europeans have also taken a decisive side but also the more difficult side. They have realized that they, in a moment of moral weakness, they temporarily did a moral act, they allowed for the Jews to reconstitute their homelands and now they wish to erase their moment of decency. The Europeans, and the Arabs and Muslims and almost everywhere that Jews resided prefer that the Jews be subjugated. This is not possible if the Jews have a refuge where they rule the lands, Israel. When the Jews were spread across the world in small communities shared amongst the world the world received the benefit of the Jewish inventiveness and work ethic and they served the purpose in each nation under the control of their ‘betters’ who had been empowered by G0d to rule the Jews who were a fallen people no longer deserving of Hashem’s love. The return of Israel and the empowered Jew puts to a lie the forsaken argument and places the Jews on an even relationship with the other nations. How can a world predicated on the Jew as weak and dependent on the protections provided by the ‘others’ who were their betters now have a strong military and the capability of self-determinations and self-rule? This was something which was not to be permitted and thus it became necessary to clip the wings of the Jewish state and even erase it should the opportunity present itself. Be aware that if the European nations had the military advantage and could destroy Israel through use of arms without their own nations facing grievous losses we would be witnessing a new Crusades to return Jerusalem and the Holy Lands to their proper shared control with Islam and Christianity sharing the spoils of a destroyed and burning Israel and the subjugation once again of the Jews. That is but one of the meanings of “Never Again.”

Still, Israel is partly to blame for her situation as she has allowed these outside forces to have sway over her and allowed their neutering of Israel’s right to control her borders. Israel had not fully shaken off the yoke of slavery before the nations of the world. Israeli leadership reflects the state of mind of all too many of the people who still believe that they must gain the favor of others. They have yet to realize that such is a fool’s game played at the risk of their homelands. Israel has the might, the right and the International Law all on her side to once and for all end the Arab ‘Palestinian’ false claims against her and to enforce her borders, her legal and recognized by treaties and Charter of the United Nations to at the very least the lands, all of the lands, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. Further, since the Arabs living in Judea and Samaria are actually Jordanian, Syrian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Iraqi, Yemeni and also Saudi Arabian roots and have taken up arms against Israel then Israel has the right as a nation to evict these peoples unless they pledge legally their subservience to Israeli rule and swear they will no longer lift up arms against the State of Israel. Those who hold positions of power within the Fatah, Palestinian Authority, PLO, PLC, PNC, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, or any other terrorist or separatist movement making claim against Israel are to be given status as persona non grata and exiled from the State of Israel, given airfare and movement of their personal property and, if Israel wishes to clean its collective conscience for this act, a remittance to cover some of their costs for separation from their position of prominence which had allowed them to steal billions of dollars over the years from the very people they claimed to represent. End of the Arab-Israeli conflict unless and until one or more of Israel’s neighbors decides they wish to annihilate the Jews and destroy Israel again. Then, this time, should any of Israel’s neighbors decide to wage war, then Israel should respond and not stop their advance until the other side surrendered and accepted Israeli terms for peace. This time Israel should dictate the terms of the cessation of hostilities and ignore the calls by the rest of the world leaders especially by those claiming to be the best of friends Israel has ever had. Then when the adversary who initiated this war had offered complete surrender and agreement with the Israeli dictated terms including the new boundaries as losing a war, even against Israel, has to hold the potential for loss of lands or all the world is doing is resetting the conditions which existed at the start of the last war to give the adversaries of Israel the same opportunity time after time to destroy Israel and never have to pay for their failures in an offensive war. That is not how it works for any other nation and should not be the way it works for Israel as a country. If the world decides they desire to remove Israel from the United Nations, Israel should send each nation supporting such a move a thank you card and use the monies saved to give her people a small tax break. Then Israel needs to remove every last United Nations minder from within her border, dissolve every United Nations recognized NGO which does not drop all ties with the United Nations and resolve to never again cooperate with any United Nations’ probe, study or other pursuit without first being granted permission from the government as the United Nations should then be treated as they have proven themselves to be, a foreign party interested largely in the destruction of Israel by any means.

Israel needs a leader, a real leader who can withstand the slings and arrows of outrageous opportunists (forgive me Shakespeare) and exercise her dominion over her lands on her actual and defined borders under the San Remo Conference and all concomitant treaties which would leave defined from within the British Mandate and presumably enforceable by the British Crown all the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea on her eastern and western boundaries, the Blue Line with Lebanon to the north and the Negev, Sinai border as recognized by Egypt and Israel by peace treaty, and leaving Gaza for all those Arabs desiring of retaining the separatist definitions of being an Arab Palestinian. Those remaining Arabs residing east of the 1949 Armistice Lines and not currently holders of an Israel citizenship identifying documents will be permitted to remain within Israeli borders and retain those lands on which they have proper and recognized deed and will be permitted to apply for Israeli citizenship after a period of five years in which no family member was involved in any act of terrorism or felonious criminal activities. Once so approved an oath of allegiance to the State of Israel and the showing of a meaningful knowledge of Israeli history will be required in order to become a full citizen of the State of Israel. Those desiring not to travel such a route may remain as resident aliens and will be treated with respect to land ownership over that which they have recognized deeds and remain within the law and not posing any threat to the State of Israel. Should they be found to be aiding or committing of terrorism or other violent felonious acts they may face exile from the lands of Israel in lieu of a prison term. Should they accept exile their return within Israel will result in their being incarcerated to serve the full sentence of which they were adjudicated to serve. These are the powers all other states possess and how other nations end defensive wars taken against them from without and how they treat similar threats from within. Israel is not asking for anything beyond her rights as an equal amongst nations. Israel is demanding to be seen, treated and respected as an equal amongst nations and those who desire to demean and subjugate or destroy Israel or her Jewish flavor can expect similar in return from Israel. Israel is prepared to receive in kind as she gives and give in kind as she receives from each and every nation no more and no less. This is the promise any true leader of Israel and her people deserve and a growing number of her people are beginning to demand. Such a leader will be found and elected to prove up to such an immense challenge and should they fail then another should be sought. It will take a person with an unbendable will and a knowledge of where Israel is and where she deserves to be and have the plan to achieve exactly that and the willingness to face the slings and arrows of outrageous oppositions from both without and within. Of the two the forces from within will prove the undoing of many and will take a true leader in every sense of the title. This will be the kind of leader who sets their sights on this lofty goal, moves ever more determined to achieve that high set goal and once the job completed and the results cemented will simply retire to their farm in the Galilee or their herds in the Judean Hills or their winery overlooking the Kinneret, or their solar farm in the Negev Desert. That will also be a true leader who will be remembered as were the greats of Biblical fame.
