Kamil al-Khatib and Another Absurdly Ludicrous Accusation

 

Kamil al-Khatib, the deputy head of the Islamic Movement in Israel, has made an accusation which has managed to target Israel; an Israeli activist, Yehuda Glick; Arab Authorities in general; and likely inferring every power on earth which has not rushed to prevent what he calls the “Judaizing actions” to the al-Aqsa Mosque. We further quote Kamil al-Khatib from his interview with the Hamas newspaper ‘Falastin’ with his most vicious claim of all, “His (Yehuda Glick’s) settlers hold Talmudic ceremonies and settler weddings around the al-Aqsa Mosque, and these are dangerous signs that they see their imaginary Temple in the al-Aqsa Mosque. This is in spite of the agreements the Jordanian regime made to prevent any Talmudic ceremonies within the area of the al-Aqsa Mosque.” His final jab hits a bullseye pointing to the presumed agreement between Israel and Jordan to enforce a status quo which forbids Jewish prayers on the Temple Mount. This status quo referred to came into the lexicon after the attempted assassination of Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick who barely survived four shots into his chest at point blank range on October 29, 2015. A terrorist pulled up in a scooter or motorcycle and shot him before fleeing the scene (aftermath video coverage below showing response but not actual attack). Yehuda Glick had just departed the Begin Center where he had just spoken at an event and was shot by Mu’taz Hijazi who was employed at the Begin Center despite former criminal arrests and known links with terrorism. There has been a sliding status quo placing ever increasing limitations on Jews and other non-Muslims as time progresses and after any meetings and demanded concessions forced on Israel and the World in efforts to ever enforce the strength and power of Arab Palestinian claims to more and more areas still demanding the formation of their rule over all of the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, that means all of Israel.

 

 

 

 

Kamil al-Khatib and the Islamic Movement in Israel have been banned from organized events or actions after they issued threats against the lives of Israelis, both officials and Jews in general. It took a build-up of threats including that Muslims would “eliminate the Jews from history: and further stated in that interview, “This will be the final nail in the coffin of the Oslo Accords, because the Palestinian people are tired of all the false promises and visions and its volcano is exploding.” Kamil al-Khatib was also calling for Israeli Arabs to take part in the “intifada” against Israel. A full-blown war between Israeli Arabs and the Netanyahu government is “just a matter of time,” He also held that a statement by Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people was simply reflective of the feelings of most Israelis, and as such were statements which “merely highlight the religious nature of the dispute.

 

He gave an interesting and revealing sermon equating the holy warriors who had attacked infidel in Paris with the purification of France during the Protestant wars with the Catholics of France and the Inquisition in Spain from starting in 1492 when the Christians (Catholics) rallied to retake the lands of southern Spain (Andalusia) which had been conquered by largely Moorish Muslims from northwestern Africa which had stormed across the Straights of Gibraltar almost a millennia earlier and had imposed restrictive laws on Christians, Jews and other non-Muslims which were fought back by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella who persecuted the Muslims and Jews and non-Catholics. These were the religious wars which plagued the years responding to the encroachment and explosive breakout of Islam and the Arab tribes from their original homelands in the Arabian Peninsula and swallowed-up lands and peoples across North Africa, Persian Middle East, the remains of the Byzantine Empire and Egypt as well as the Holy Lands. The Crusades were an answer to the persecution of Christians in the Holy Lands which brought the conquest by Salah al-Din (Saladin) all of which dates back an average of half a millennia to a modern terrorist attack in a modern western capital because it has not fallen under the Islamic sword. Below is his sermon from November 29, 2015, in Kafr Kana, Israel, the very nation he declares must be brought under the sword through an internal Intifada yet it took his actual calls for violence before he was denounced but is still free and inciting.

 

 

 

 

Those calling for the murder and conquest of Israel are protected, which is not necessarily an evil thing to allow opposing views, but not when Yehuda Glick is denied entry to the Temple Mount simply because he argues that the Jews and other non-Muslims have religious freedom and under such should have free access to the Temple Mount. He is not calling for anybody to enter a single Mosque, Church, Cathedral, the al-Aqsa or the Dome of the Rock but the freedom to visit one of the holiest locations in Christianity and the holiest place in Judaism. In Israel a foreign element is granted control and restricts movement and worship in open locations in the holiest site in all of a presumed free Israel where every religion is presumed to have equality and freedom of worship, well, except where Islam is granted any sway. Israel does not restrict Islamic visitation to the holy places in Damascus, Muslim warfare does. Israel does not limit Islamic worship in Mecca or Medina nor does Israel desire to but through Jordan the Islamic world is limiting religious freedom in Israel. There is one word for that situation, ‘Wrong,’ just plain and simple wrong. The Temple Mount should be a place of reverence and free worship and open tourism with each faith responsible for the buildings they own, plain and simple. Further building on the Temple Mount might present a different subject where a board with members of each faith having advisory weight but it should be the government of Israel with full understanding of the sensibility of every faith represented and holding the site as holy as the main criteria for all decisions. Extremism of any sort should be avoided, especially calls to violence.

And about the envisioned threat of the building of the Third Temple, well, the picture below depicts a placement which is one potential resolution but there are endless possibilities which include the erection of the Third Temple in an alternate location all together. There are always alternatives except when, apparently, Islam has found anything that might be a slight to their sensibilities or their perception of losing face as pride is apparently a very important foundation in modern Islam and their pride apparently is deeply rooted in possessions and a fact that enough is never enough when Islam is involved. One needs to wonder what would be the reaction if the World’s Jews with Israeli support decided to build the Third Temple as a towering edifice atop the Mount of Olives overlooking the great Mount of Olives Cemetery, an ancient and still used burial grounds which holds the graves of numerous greats of Jewish history, a Temple which would stand out all but unrivaled in the Jerusalem skyline towering above even the tallest of structures. One can only imagine the howlings of foul play and detracting from the holy places already in existence and claims galore that the lands of such plans was holy to every religion other than Judaism. We have already heard claims that the First Temple and Second Temple were simply figments of Jews’ imaginations having had two too many machinations for claiming Jerusalem from the rightful and original builders of the Western Wall and the city walls which were constructed for Muhammad to tie off his magical steed to climb aboard another magical steed before his ascent into Heaven where he met with all the ancient Islamic prophets such as Moses and Abraham and who knows who else, perhaps Daniel and Ezekiel; Deborah and Ruth, Kings David and Solomon and who knew these were Islamic Prophets who predated Islam by an average of two-thousand years.

What would be your reaction if I now explained that this is about Israeli settlers placing wanted dead or alive posters of Mahmoud Abbas and other leaders in the Palestinian Authority around their areas inciting for these people to be targeted for assassination. You would immediately condemn these acts as depraved and illegal to be roundly condemned by every sane and rational society and that the people responsible to be arrested and tried for being accessories instigating violence and for violating the human rights and a litany of other offenses. What would be your reaction if instead of posting such tacky posters it was reported that they had placed an exhibit as part of an exhibit on Judea and Samaria a picture of Marwan Hasib Ibrahim Barghouti sitting in a prison cell with rifle site bullseye on his head and another in the middle of his chest. Again you would be rightfully enraged at such a grievous act of inhumanity and demand the people responsible to be arrested. If any of these were to be true I would not only be joining you in your calls for people to be arrested for such vapid displays of inhumanity and criminal instigation expressed as some warped and weird form of art but actually merely expressing a hate-filled inhumane message which should lead to arrests of the people responsible for the entire exhibit and the authors or artists responsible for this and such display to await trial on charges of hate crimes and assaults on the human rights of another human being, I would be trumpeting the call for trials for acts violating the human rights of Marwan Barghouti. Fortunately such exhibits or posters are not the case and would very likely never be the case and should such distasteful exhibits and behaviors ever be exhibited by the settlers or any other Israeli, they would be arrested by the Israeli police and put on trial for their heinous deeds and the offending pieces removed from public display.

But such acts have been placed on display including the pictured above piece which is an actual depiction of Yehuda Glick in an assassination display at new exhibition on “Jerusalem” at the An-Najah University in Shechem (Nablus) consisting of anti-Israel, anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist incitement exhibits expressed through pictures and other displays. This exhibition includes the assassination display and comes a mere five months after Yehuda Glick was shot at point-blank range receiving four bullets into his torso leading to his extended treatment in the hospital where he received numerous surgeries to repair the damage and save his life. This disgusting call for further targeting of Yehuda Glick for assassination comes only weeks after Yehuda Glick was finally released from hospitalization and having regained normal body function which was in itself a true and real miracle, Baruch HaShem. The shooter, we should say assassin except for his failure, Baruch HaShem, was sent by Islamic Jihad who desired Yehuda Glick murdered because of his actions to permit Jews their right to pray on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and currently under the supervision of the Jordanian Waqf which forbids all prayer other than Muslim. This ban also is applied to Christians and other religions and not just Jews though their application and enforcement is strongest against Jews. One might believe that the Arabs Muslims who make up the Jordanian supervision are afraid that Jewish prayers coming from the Temple Mount which was the site of the first two Temples would have special treatment and be heard by G0d receiving immediate fulfillment and since such prayers might invoke the desire for the rebuilding of the Temple that such might produce a completed Temple falling out of the sky and replacing Islamic buildings. If only such would occur showing the might of G0d and His love for the Jewish People and through the performance of such a great and unmistakable miracle, have it understood that this miracle was for all Jews throughout the world calling upon them to return to the lands G0d gave us after he took us from the house of bondage in Egypt. Such a miracle would make belief that the Covenant with the Jewish People still exists and is as real and miraculous today as it has ever been and that this miraculous act of great love by G0d would make His continued performance of the greatest magnitude showing love for the Jewish People and preparing Israel for the coming. It was for protesting for the Jews right to pray upon the Temple Mount for which Yehuda Glick has been targeted for assassination and anyone who is able to murder Yehuda will be celebrated as having committed some great and noble act and there will be dancing in the streets in Nablus and throughout the Palestinian Arab areas of Gaza and Judea and Samaria (West Bank) accompanied by music and the handing out of sweet cakes and candies. Such are the kind of acts which are celebrated amongst the Arabs. These societal laudable moments revolve around murders of Israelis, especially Jews.

 

Imagine if as depicted at the beginning of this article that such exhibits were placed on display in some small but well-known museum; say the hall of Middle Eastern Studies of Tel Aviv University which they use to sponsor displays pertaining to historic and modern-day exhibits included pictures of well-known Arab Muslims from Hamas, Fatah and Islamic Jihad, even terrorists who had the blood of numerous Israelis on their hands, with targets on their chests and heads calling for their assassination. The media throughout the world and the heads of states of European and other Western nations, the Arab League, the United Nations, Russia, China, and probably all the nations in Asia and Africa would all be denouncing Israel and placing complete trade embargoes on Israel until those responsible for such crimes against humanity and complete disregard for human lives as well as hate crimes against the Palestinian Arabs and their leaders who were so mercilessly targeted in the exhibits and the museum curator and other heads of departments and the President and other officers of Tel Aviv University had all been indicted, tried, found guilty and given decades if not centuries of time in prison for such a heinous display of tasteless and dehumanizing displays. Yet with similar such displays being sponsored and offered for public viewing by An-Najah University in Shechem has yet to raise so much as a ripple of effect across the world with a complete absence of protest from the usually sensitive Europeans, the ever-aware and responsive President of the United States, the presumed nerve-center for the world the United Nations or any leader, public figure, mainstream media figure, academic, human rights advocate or other normally so sensitive people, institutions, religious leader or nongovernmental organization has stepped up to condemn or even merely comment about this display of incitement to violence including the singling of one person for directed violence intending to depict a call for the assassination of an Israeli citizen and political human rights activist.

 

The propensity for the world to simply accept any hate-filled message, display, language, or even political act calling for violence and murder of Jews, not just Israelis but all Jews as is part of the Hamas charter, the Islamic Jihad charter and the PLO charter, the same PLO which changed its name but not its ends desired transforming their name to Palestinian Authority which absolved them of their previous sins and cleansed them of their terrorist roots, and to simply stand aside from such hate-filled vitriol and displays such as this An-Najah University presentation is simply astonishing in the most disgusting manner. You might ask for what do the world leaders and human rights defenders and activists wait for, and we will tell you. They wait for any Israeli reaction which they will then become incensed demanding the head of the Israeli or Jewish response calling for the removal of such offensive material especially the calls for Yehuda Glick to be targeted especially. Such calls for the termination of this display, if it were to be made by any Israeli or Jewish leader the world official conscience would respond with righteous indignation at the effrontery of an attempt to censor a rightful and deeply moving display of artistic and emotive presentations expressing the longing and love for Jerusalem which the Israelis and world Jewry are denying the Palestinians their rights to visit and pray at the Temple Mount (Palestinians refer to the Temple Mount as Haram al-Sharif الحرم القدسي الشريف‎) and who are denied a decent life or even peace which the Palestinians long for but are constantly denied such by the Jews. Never mind that the Palestinians and any Muslim is granted full rights to pray, visit, picnic, play soccer or any other activity and may utilize any of the gates to enter the Temple Mount while non-Muslims are restricted to a single gate, are searched for any offensive items such as religious books or symbols which are not Islamic and if Jewish kept for special treatment which includes open hostilities, denials of the right to pray, denial of any action which is detected and inferred to be religious such as moving one’s lips without speaking, speaking, looking skyward, kneeling, standing still, clasping one’s hands possibly holding one’s breath or breathing as well as being set upon and attacked for which the Jews who are being assaulted and are the obvious victims are removed from the Temple Mount, not the offending Muslims and Palestinians.

 

With such reinforcement of their rioting being sufficient reason to close the Temple Mount to Jewish visitation and assaulting any Jews who do ascend to the holiest place in all of the world for Jews, the Jewish police will remove the Jews as the Jordanian Waqf had defined rioting Muslims as being rooted to having been instigated by any Jewish presence on their holy land which the Jews are to be deprived despite its sacred importance to Jews. Eventually the assaults and other acts of intolerance by the Islamic world will cause a reactive eruption which will bring everything to a critical boiling point and the results of such are impossible to predict. Should there ever be an assault whereby rockets rain down unabated and not intercepted causing a number of the tallest buildings to burn or even be destroyed toppling them into heaps of ruinous twisted steel and broken glass infused with hundreds or even thousands of victims corpses beneath the rubble, then the reaction will be beyond imagination but it will bring the end to any claims by the so-called and mythical Palestinian people, nation or rights and claims to any lands between the river and the sea. After such an unbearable loss, which would most likely be the eventual result of a peace treaty in which Israel would surrender and almost all of Judea and Samaria as well as East Jerusalem, all the way to the Green Line, with minor swaps of land by some formula; the cry for relief from such attacks merging with a promise of a permanent end would result in a war in which only one side would prevail. This inevitability would be far from the first incitement as that would be the publically displayed destruction put on Facebook and other social media of Kever Yosef (Joseph’s Tomb), Kever Rachel (Rachel’s Tomb) and numerous other Jewish Holy Sites including numerous Synagogues throughout East Jerusalem which have been rebuilt since the Six Day War. Another effrontery would be the refusal by the Palestinians to honor their agreement for Jews to be permitted to enter their areas to visit Holy Sites even the Western Wall, the Kotel. The assault with such a rocket barrage that it would prove beyond the abilities of Iron Dome Batteries to intercept every rocket and missile and too many would strike Tel Aviv and surrounding areas destroying many vital sites and buildings as well as an unacceptable number of slain civilians. The world would scream for Israel to hold their fire and to show restraint but even Tzipi Livni or Yitzhak Hertzog would be pressured to respond, though meekly and without any real change in the status quo, but such attacks would soon bring a heavy hand across the Palestinian lands wiping them clean and forcing those within to flee likely returning to their families’ original home nation never even considering a return to Israel. Such would bring finality to the peace process as it would produce an actual winner and that is the only solution which can be definitive as truth be told, either Israel is destroyed or the Arabs denied their beachheads in Judea, Samaria and Gaza as this is the real choice the Arab world and the Palestinians have defined as the only end. Actually the Arab world depicts the end of Israel as the only acceptable end, it is just they do not wish to provide their own forces and take casualties which fighting the IDF would produce, thus they invented the Palestinians to fight the war for them using guerrilla warfare and other means of asymmetrical warfare to wear Israel down to the point they simply surrender. “Never Again” means never again will Jews not have their nation and never again will the Jews be vulnerable to another genocidal maniac and their desire to rid the world of its Jews as has been tried and failed over the past four or five millennia, and it will not happen now, “Never Again!”

Boko Haram Erases Nigerian City of Baga from the Map

 

Northern Nigeria has been transformed into a mini-state under what Boko Haram has defined as their Caliphate which is all a part of the greater Caliphate as Boko Haram has declared loyalty with ISIS swearing their fealty with Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Boko Haram in their recent attacks has solidified their controls all of the Borno Province up to and including the borders with Niger, Chad and Cameroon. There had been the solitary town of Baga along the western shores of Lake Chad which, due to the presence of a military base manned by multinational forces from Niger and Chad, resisted Boko Haram and believed the presence of the military base would continue to safeguard the twenty thousand plus populations keeping them safe. This was despite their being the lone holdout to the area to which Boko Haram has claimed has come under their rule as an independent state. This is part of Boko Haram’s latest claim of forming their own state with their announcing their membership as part of the greater ISIS Caliphate. The brave little township of Baga awoke earlier this week to the sounds of gunshots and screaming which, according to the few townspeople who managed to escape, came from all direction save the west, the direction of Lake Chad. The hope of the population dissolved instantly upon witnessing the military deserting their posts and making their escape leaving the people to fend for themselves without military troops or their weapons to defend themselves. Reports claimed that much of the population took to the lake to escape and are now trapped on an island without adequate food, water or shelter. The reports estimating the potential death toll vary widely from the low end of hundreds to as many as two thousand plus with the eventual death toll hard to estimate if the tens of thousands when adding those who have taken refuge on the Island fall to thirst, exposure or worse, Boko Haram deciding to finish their slaughter by making an amphibious assault on the island murdering the remainder of the citizens of Baga who have taken refuge there. Some reports included not just that there were bodies strewn across the entirety of Baga virtually lining the streets, but that much of the city had been destroyed by fire after looting the homes and stores of anything valuable, The reports appear only to differ by degree with those who escaped later providing the most heinous recounting.

 

This carnage will most probably be lost in the greater coverage of the attack on the Paris offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo where twelve individuals were slaughtered, two police including one Muslim officer and ten of the Charlie Hebdo staff including their editor and numerous cartoonists and staff members. There were also at least ten people injured with at least four with very serious wounds. The drama in France continued with a shooting of a twenty seven year old rookie female police officer named Clarissa Jean-Philippe who ‘dreamed of serving her country’. The suspected brothers, Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, from the Charlie Hebdo terror attack were surrounded in a printing house forty kilometers outside Paris where they held a single hostage. The brothers’ hostage was successfully saved when the brothers stormed from the factory firing at the forces surrounding their location. The Kouachi brothers had told officials they were prepared to be martyred and their wish came to fruition. Two police officers were wounded in the exchange with one possibly having succumbed to their injuries. The assassin of the female police officer, Amedy Coulibaly, was cornered in a kosher market where he had killed three people with his entry into the store. Upon the exchange of fire at the brothers’ location the message was sent to the other stand-off that the time for their raid had arrived. Police had accessed the closed circuit security camera inside the shop allowing the police to notice the terrorist kneeling to pray providing them with the advantage necessary for their assault with a maximum advantage and surprise. At least one more person was murdered at the kosher market bringing the toll of innocents to four plus the terrorist who also was killed. Reports list numerous hostages freed from the kosher market where some had stolen away in the freezer inside the market and were among the estimate of fifteen hostages being rescued from the market. This brings this terror attack to a close for which we can be thankful. Our sympathies lie with all the victims of the attacks in France and those being subjected to a living hell in Nigeria at the hands of the heartless, inhuman terrorist heathens of Boko Haram. We hope that the surviving residents from Baga are rescued before even more are murdered in the name of the Caliphate.

 

France has just been witness to the barbarity which Israel faces on a daily basis. The sole reason we do not read about endless such situations in Israel has to do with a state of constant alert along with the security fence/wall which along with checkpoints, both permanent and randomly placed, which prevent untold numbers of terror attacks. There are at least a half dozen reports which make the news in Israel each week with some weeks breaking a dozen such reports where Arabs are caught with large knives, pipe bombs and worse by the checkpoints, alert Israeli Defense Force (IDF) troops, border patrol, and police while private security personnel also prevent attacks often without it ever reaching the news services. One could safely bet that less than half of the attempts to harm Israelis never get reported outside of the security forces reports and records. This speaks only to assaults with regular weapons such as bombs, knives and firearms. Then there are the terrorist attacks which succeed. Recently there was the attempted assassination of Yehuda Glick whose crime is desiring to pray on the Temple Mount and to have it permissible for Jews, Christians and anyone else who feels the urge to pray be permitted prayer on this holy site but he was shot at point-blank range four times in the chest by an Arab Muslim whose reason was that he believes that only Muslims are to be afforded the privilege of praying on the holy site of the Temple Mount. Four Rabbis were gunned down and butchered while in the midst of their morning prayers with their Tefillin (phylacteries) and Tallit (prayer shawls) on and prayer books in their hands. There were other rabbis and worshipers who, praise Hashem, were able to escape with their lives though a number had serious but survivable wounds. These are terrorist attacks which were deadly successful in just the last few weeks and are but one side of the terrorism which is committed against Israelis and targeted at Jews almost exclusively.

 

The most unreported terrorist attacks are those where rocks and fire bombs are thrown at vehicles with Israeli license plates. These attacks happen to such an extent that the police and other security agencies refuse to bother to keep records. The reasoning behind not keeping such records is simple, telling and dangerous. If these attacks were recorded there would be data which those who feel that making peace with the Arabs who perpetrate murderous attacks daily is a recipe for disaster. There is a young girl of eleven years who is currently in hospital fighting for her life and even should she survive, she faces years of surgeries to repair the horrific damages to her face and torso from the fire bomb which broke through the vehicle windshield and exploded in her lap. If not for her father’s quick actions pulling her from the vehicle and extinguishing the flames she most certainly would have died from her wounds. There have been three or four children under the age of four who have been struck in the head by rocks often three inches in diameter if not larger which crashed through the windshields of the vehicles they were travelling in who survived but remained in comas for weeks or months and are going to require years of therapy and even then will never regain full function nor live a normal life. In some cases the rocks are hurled from vehicles speeding in the opposite direction from ambush sites set up by the Arab perpetrators. They have a lookout that waits about a mile up the road waiting for a car to pass with the appropriate targets inside and then signal the vehicle driver by cell phone. The driver than accelerates towards the victim vehicle gaining as much speed as possible and as the two vehicles close on each other passengers in the Arab vehicle hurl their projectiles, rocks, fire bombs or both at the target with the full intent on causing the most severe injury or murder as is possible. One of the most tragic and most well known as the surviving family members not only permitted the pictures of the victims but also the vehicle to be made public but insisted that they be displayed whenever their story was told. You see, many of these unfortunate children are more fortunate than was Yonatan Palmer or his father Asher who were killed when a rock of close to or over five inches diameter crashed through their windshield striking the father in the head killing him outright and thus causing the vehicle to careen off the road and crash into a tree where the impact killed Yonatan before he reached his second birthday. Then there are the regular ambush sites which are set up at holy sites where those coming to worship can be ambushed. The two most well-known to Israelis, and the one well-known to the world, are the Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives Cemetery. The Temple Mount has been the target of attacks for the last few months as the leadership of Hamas out of Turkey had arranged for these daily assaults in order to keep the Temple Mount closed to Jewish visitation. The Arabs have learned that if they continue to instigate violent protests on the Temple Mount then the security personnel will close the area off to Jewish visitation as this is considered the best policy to calm the Arab anger and thus alleviate the reason for the rioting. This tactic is now being employed against the Israeli government as the Arabs under the direction and funding by Hams are continuing prolonged periods of violence on the Temple Mount in order to keep the Jews from even being permitted to visit the Temple Mount. Hamas leadership has made clear their intent is to prevent Jewish visitation for a sufficiently long period so as to them argue that the Jews obviously do not hold the Temple Mount to be as holy as do the Muslims as the Jews never take the opportunity to make visits to the Temple Mount. Meanwhile the Arabs are pressing the Europeans and American to insist that the Israeli government take every step necessary to keep the status quo on the Temple Mount which results in the Jews being restricted from visitations while Arab violence is taking place as it is assumed that Arab violence is caused by Jewish presence or their having uttered prayers or simply appeared to have said something construed as prayer.

 

The Mount of Olives Cemetery is located such that the entry road passes under a sharp cliff on top of which is an Arab school. Whenever vehicles attempt to enter the cemetery they are pelted with rocks thrown from atop the cliff from the school yard above. There have been funerals where those attempting to attend were forced to turn back and attend the funeral from a great distance unless they were willing to brave the gauntlet and have their vehicles suffer the damage which would certainly be inflicted upon it and risk their persons as well. These assaults too are ignored by the majority of even the Israeli media as these events are common and as such not newsworthy unless something tragic occurs. This in and of itself tells a sad story as it means that even the most sacred of events, the burial of a friend, relative or associate is disturbed and those attending assaulted and potentially injured and it is not reported by most media within Israel and almost never, even when tragic results occur, reported outside Israel. Proof is likely as it is doubtful that many have even heard of the event described next where visiting prominent public figures elected to the United States House of Representatives were treated no different than Israelis or any others when they visited the Mount of Olives Cemetery as told as follows. On February 25, 2012, United States House of Representatives members Eliot Engel and Jerrold Nadler, both New York Democrats, were walking in the Mount of Olives Cemetery when they were assaulted with rocks where a “baseball-sized” rock hurled at the group nearly hitting Representative Nadler. These attacks are made with the full knowledge of Mahmoud Abbas as he is now the leader of the unified Arab Authority over Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad and these groups both political and ‘military’ arms. The ‘military’ arms are listed or have been listed previously, and delisted solely so the peace process could be carried forward, as terrorist groups by the United States, numerous European governments, the United Nations and the European Union. The demands that the Israelis make concessions to bring the Arabs to the bargaining table just so they can demand the total surrender of Israel to their maximalist demands and in return the Arabs refuse to promise to end their struggle to free their ‘homelands’ which means no end to the terror attacks like those listed above and still demand that Israel allow as many Arabs as can be found to be relocated within Israel with full political rights transmuting Israel into another Arab state in which the Jews lives will likely be short and brutal. As Jews we fully understand the reason that the Europeans have so little problem with this result. We are even beginning to realize that even the United States is changing politically and Israel can no longer fully depend on both parties to support her. We are still obliged to the American people and to those Europeans who support Israel and we thank each and every last one of them. What the world needs to realize is what happens in Israel eventually will happen outside Israel. Israel is but the front lines but those lines are moving as was evidenced in France and Nigeria this past week. The front lines are moving as has been evidenced in every Arab committed or attempted terror attack. There are two lessons the world must learn and learn quickly. The first is that Israel is no different, just a few years or so further down the road the entire world is traveling down whether they realize it or not. Second is that there are no lone wolves as so many apologists are fond of calling every terror attack. These attacks are all spawned from the same source and are simply the expression of those Islamists who do not have the patience to wait for their numbers to conquer the democracies of the world in the ballot box and desire results now. They believe if they are sufficiently violent then the Western nations and their citizens will cower and surrender to Islam. The one lesson above all else about Islam which must be remembered is that one does not join Islam, one does not observe Islam, one does not convert to Islam, one does not advocate for Islam, one does not attest to Islam, what one does is surrender to Islam, you are to surrender your will to Islam and these terrorist attacks are not an attempt to convert anyone, they are attempts to force you to surrender to Islam. This is a holy war and either you triumph or you will surrender to Islam, there are no other alternatives.
