Freedom of the Media was and is an Illusion

 

Freedom of the Media, the Press, was intended to mean that the media was allowed to take position opposing those in power. With President-elect Trump we have a complete rebirth of freedom in Media as the leftist media has been permitted total freedom in denouncing, condemning, delegitimizing and casting overt dispersion in such rapidity that the Maxim machine gun is jealous of their repetition rate against all items Trump. The only threat the American, and its twin of the European media and much of the western and developed world’s media, is facing is that largely, with few notable exception, is pure leftist progressive slant where anything which is not in line with their politically correct, censored, straight-jacket narrow view of the world is denounced as demonic, evil, Nazi-esque and potentially leading to censorship closing down all opposing views of the right wing. The media and their vociferous echo chamber of NGO’s, political advocates, full array of supportive leftist and progressive alternative media, and various leftist lobbyists all standing together making as much racket as the world might stand. That is one of the precious secrets of the Progressive leftists, they are all for one and one for all even more so than the Three Musketeers. This becomes evident in the one area where the left progressives have mastered something that the other end of the political spectrum has yet to even consider, let alone adopt.

 

Watch any demonstration for any leftist Progressive cause and you will soon understand how they get hundreds or more at every demonstration, universal representation. Go to an ecology rally against perhaps coal powered electricity plant in your city and there will be all sorts of ecology demonstrators including anti-nuclear power, pro-wind power, save the whales, clean our rivers, save the oceans, clean air and any other ecology cause imaginable. But that is not all. There will likely be others there who support other causes and are not particularly worked up about the ecology of the Earth and more concerned with the pro-choice, anti-death penalty, anti-racism, and even pro-Palestinian or BDS or other anti-Zionist, anti-Israel movements all there for one reason, the leftist you scratch my cause I’ll scratch your cause. Often at a demonstration for some cause there will be protest signs for other causes within the demonstration because if you protest one leftist Progressive cause, you are there representing all leftist progressive causes. And the mainstream will give favorable coverage with inflated numbers of protesters and enthusiasm and will take their pictures selectively attempting to only get the right standards despite others also on prominent display. Many will accuse me and ask how it is I know this. Well, once upon a time many years ago I was one of those liberals back when being a liberal meant keep the government out of my life, respect for all people, equality for all, live and let live, and, believe it or not, gun rights was not an automatic exclusion from the club. To be honest, the one cause which had tepid support was gun rights, but at least in those days it was not a cause which caused one to be disassociate and shunned.

 

Back then one went to every protest just as is the means today. There were people who would pay people to attend protests which were considered vital. These were often the protests against particular politicians or counter rallies to out shadow any right wing causes by having greater numbers at the counter rally thus making the coverage all about the liberal progressive cause which opposed the scheduled protest. Often the counter protest did not have any license or permit and actually be technically illegal but they were seldom forced to disperse and were given much freedom. The exception were the anti-war demonstrations which the government took a dim view and would use violent force to break up such demonstrations. This was back in the late 1960s and into the 1970s and with the times the position of the establishment changed as the left took command during the Administration and Presidency of Jimmy Carter. That was a turning point as from that point on the left progressive tours de force began a simple tactic, the just ignore everything between progressive majorities and just pick up right where the last front left off. This made for a force which became all but an inevitability which could never be opposed by anything the conservatives could establish.

 

This became evident when President Jimmy Carter simply picked up where President Lyndon Baines Johnson left off with the Great Society, affirmative action, wealth redistribution, ecology restrictions on industry through emissions and every other leftist progressive cause. Then there was a break for a dozen years of the Reagan and George H. W. Bush Presidencies. Then came President William Jefferson Clinton who continued expanding the progressive cause and then came another Republican, President George W. Bush, who was not so much a counter to the progressive causes than a slightly different approach in establishing big government programs which the “No Child Left Behind” program. This brought on the yet another rendition of ‘new math,’ ‘full word recognition’ and stressing minority contributions from the past replacing history with little mention of any contributions from white males and especially Judeo-Christian ethics and instead an anti-ethical education which removed any standard history of the United States and other Western histories which when mentioned it received condemnations of how it was exclusive not as meaning something exemplary but rather as racist, prejudiced and intolerant. Any traditional history was belittled and condemned by using modern day morality and equal rights viewpoints making everything from the past appear hateful and vengeful being racist, prejudiced and xenophobic. Making normative history where Christian, white male formed history such as the Founding Fathers were cast as hateful slave owners and thus not ethical or acceptable because such was unacceptable in these modern times and the European greats such as Da Vinci, Michael Angelo, Isaac Newton, Galileo and others were also intolerant, supremacist, racist, sexist and likely homophobic or full of other forms of hateful white supremacist views which would be condemned in today’s world. This version of history left much of traditional history untaught or presented as something to be rejected and spurned as horrible examples of a hateful past.

 

 

Some of such views are being presented in the media where past events are presented under a modern viewpoint and leftist microscope where anything which was acceptable back in history becomes unacceptable and regrettable as it fails to measure up to the modern ethos and leftist yardstick which was unheard of and did not exist when the history occurred. This method was designed and makes children ashamed of their past history and thus leaves them unattached to their past and because of their being separated and unanchored their views can be molded in such a manner as to overturn their ethics and allows them to be made to accept anything as one who has no past can be given any defined future. This is an actual method for disconnecting children from their parents, their history, their religious affiliations and anything which might define them as a continuation of their actual society and are instead given an entire redefined ethos which has nothing connected to their history and disconnecting them from parents and everything which would allow for a continuation of history and a continuation of the historic societal models. This is reinforced by the mainstream media which works using the identical redefined ethical framework leaving a youth which when they take the reins of power, they will start a society completely detached from past realities and all of history. The casting of all former history as evil and ruinous and without any worth was beautifully exemplified by President Obama when he returned the bust of Sir Winston Churchill as he refused to retain the visage of a colonialist, racist, evil, hateful individual and not the man who saved the world from Nazi Germany’s world conquest. This is indicative of the new morality that the mainstream media and education which are both completely under the thumb of the progressive, leftist rewriters of all history and religious anchors in order to create a brave new world where for all intents and purposes they could teach children that 2 + 2 = 5 as truth and the children would have no anchoring to know it was a lie. Thus is the prospect for the future in Europe, the United States and the remainder of western society, culture and the developed world should it remain under the sway of the progressive leftists whose remaking of society has actually been in progress under even the ‘conservative’ politicians since Theodore Roosevelt and shifted into high gear by Woodrow Wilson and accelerated by Franklin Delano Roosevelt (yes, a relative of Theodore) and moved along even faster by Lyndon Banes Johnson and the line held by Jimmy Carter and slight advancement by William Jefferson Clinton and George W. Bush and then taken airborne and breaking virtually every barrier by Barack Hussein Obama with the future remaining to be seen. The main reason for the apoplectic fits and near convulsive contortions by progressive leftists over the election of Donald Trump is they fear those who hold their religion as holy, their ethics as cemented in a tradition worth preservation, their history as ethical and who desire moderation in progress where changes are evaluated over time, instead of great leaps being taken blindly without looking back and burning all the bridges and even the castles and fields behind them assuring there is no chance of retrieving any morsel from our collective past as they are ashamed of their Judeo-Christian history despite it having been the basis for many positive developments.

 

They refuse to credit the Judeo-Christian ethics with the end of slavery instead blaming it for slavery, bringing about the Renaissance instead dwelling instead on earlier Church anti-science standings ignoring the truth that things changed and the fact that many of those precious progressive ideas they hold as sacred have their roots in the Judeo-Christian ethos that people are all equal in the eyes of Hashem and instead teach that religion was all about exalting white, male Christian superiority and all the evils which can be appropriated to such a viewpoint. The fact that history has been a progression of events and evolutions caused often by the very past which originally opposed change but with time softened and became champions of the progressive changes in society. The reason for the new view demonizing the past of the youths’ parents and ancestors and pressing that all their views which are actually the logical result of the Judeo-Christian ethics, they want to disposes the past and make the youth divorce their history and thus be pliable and moldable into whatever the latest untested theories for society the progressives can invent. Where this will lead is to an entire unanchored generation which will fall before any anchored group which has a strong history and religious anchoring who are willing to fight for their beliefs. These types will rule the day simply because, as the old adage goes by G.K. Chesterton (we realize that anything old, especially adages, is unacceptable and makes any argument unacceptable but tough), “When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing, they then become capable of believing in anything.” This probably states why the progressives work so hard to disconnect the youth from their past.

Refugee Lack of Civility Breaking the Silence

 

Angela Merkel and the rest of the European and Western leaders, including President Obama if his hopes for bringing hundreds of thousands if not millions of these so-called refugees to the United States unvetted, was an egg which sitting on only made the reality strike their home-front all the harder when their criminality rose to heights insuppressible. That threshold was surpassed when all-told in Germany alone there were well over a thousand women who filed police reports over sexual criminality from manhandling to rape and virtually every indiscretion and criminal act inbetween in just the first week of the new year. Now that this dirty little secret has been exposed and reporting the criminal and anti-social behavior has lost its protective labeling of being racist or worse, we can expect the police to soon be so inundated with complaints that actions, and fairly drastic action at that, will have to be implemented before a general revolt of the citizenry explodes and vigilante justice begins to me meted out by the people. The gamble that the refugees could be allowed to enter into a society for which their life experiences had not prepared them sufficiently for fitting in and that those allowed in without any certification of need or appropriate qualification of actual refugee status was an open invitation for the worst of the worst to rush in under the guise of being in dire need of saving and even remotely thankful for the generosity being given.

 

The initial signs that there was an obvious problem with the influx of presumed refugees was the higher than expected numbers of total refugee population and within that a far higher number and percentage of what has been termed military aged unattached males. The severe imbalance should have been the first signal that something was amiss and the hoped for relief effort was not actually providing relief for families suffering from the civil war tragedies in Syria but rather a planned invasion designed to inundate Europe with an army of disruptors whose presence would prove unmanageable and would tear apart the fabric of European life. The worst part is this first wave is just a precursor for the tsunami waiting in the deep ocean of potential refugees and planted terror functionaries and cell leaders which will come in successive waves already set-up and planned. This entire operation conceived in some back room where the deciders of the fate of millions of Europeans checked their obligations to their nation’s people aside and undertook an ill-advised plunge at the direction of those with the sole intent of bringing the next major conflagration down on Europe. What has become evident is this was a means of forcing Europe to either act in a manner which none have a stomach for, a war of civilized world against the abrasive assault of barbarism or surrender of the society to the ravages of the undeterred hooliganism. The difference is these hooligans do not settle for painting graffiti or other minor criminality, these hooligans are more the ilk of those from European history of a time of Musketeers but without any fear or gentrification even possible. These are marauders who know no limits and are not deterred or cowed by words or threat of arrest as they do not plan on being deterred, arrested or stopped anyway short of in response to overwhelming force. The measures which we now need be unleashed will in and of itself be of such a shocking level, many Europeans would rather suffer the slow long death of their civilization and culture than fight to retain them. That is the entire bet lain out before Europe and her people, do what must or surrender their fate. This is where creeping Sharia takes off the restrictions and demands Europe surrender to what the Islamic world claims is their inevitable future.

That leads us to the question, will Europe survive or simply be the next civilized society to succumb to barbarians who have breached the gates. The real sadness is that the gates were not breached but rather opened wide in a sign that the leaders have no stomach to defend the realm. Now we will witness whether the liberal progressive there is no difference between our culture and their culture can realize the truth and then actually act. Demonstrations and demands that the political class do what they are tasked to do will be of no consequence as your political class had already surrendered you and your children’s and grandchildren’s fate and future to the Islamic demand for their surrender. They have reflected and completely acquiesced to the liberal progressive mantra that there are no real rights or wrongs, all customs and rules of conduct by one group cannot be weighed as better or even more favorable than any other and there is no difference in the transformational societal ethic of European Judeo-Christian based civil rule of law society which is a full two centuries of hard-fought development which led to democratic rule, the rule of law over the rule of men, libertarian rights of the individual, respectful norms of expectations and rise from serfdom through a long, arduous and sometimes excessively violent reforms. The Islamic world had yet to have its Reformation, its Renaissance, its Revolutions taking them out of serfdom, out of authoritarian rule, out of the darkness of a class based existence where might is the only right and suppression by force the only civilizing reality. The leaders of Europe have invited in en-masse a devolutionary force which if left unchecked will return Europe to the stage where one’s right to a civil life was subject to their ability and willingness to use force to establish that right or surrender to a protector.

 

That takes us to delving into the reasoning which can be the sole reasoning for allowing this invasion to such an influence, shock-truth. Shock-truth can be defined as the introduction of an influence or threat so severe that people are forced to make an uncomforting choice between dire actions or complete surrender to a protective enslavement. This could be the final scream of the progressive dreamers of a society ruled by the will and influence of those more noble and knowledgeable than the commoner and who sit atop a power structure which assures them of compliant subjects who have no recourse, or at least none that they are willing to allow. The people of Europe have a simple choice to make, do they wish to return to the days of lords and ladies, kings and queens, barons and baronesses or do they desire the rule of law where all are subject voluntarily to the laws of the lands, government is of, for and by the people and society is ruled through self-control over brute force. The thing which many in western society have forgotten or possibly, with the education system so dumbed-down that history has never been taught, never known is that the polite and law abiding society in which they used to live was accomplished by a series of conflicts, demands, revolutions, and a level of self-imposed, self-control and the agreement that nothing less was ever to be expected or permitted in the societal structure. The secret to modern Western society is that the self has an investment in the society, the self is permitted certain rights which are closely linked to certain responsibilities and for these rights these responsibilities must also be observed. The majority of the people which charged through the open gates and into the most gentrified climes of Western civilization, namely Europe and potentially coming to the United States and a sizeable number already allowed into Canada, have not had their society take the intermediate steps in which the rule of men is slowly and step-by-step introduced and made the way things are done. The Western society is based on contracts between individuals and government where the people demand to be completely in control of their lives and to live respectfully with regard to one’s neighbors. Knowing that each individual cannot be permitted complete autonomy, we will use driving a vehicle as our example, thus ignoring center-line marking which restrict their movement from swerving down the road on whichever side of the marking demarking direction of travel as they please deciding their first half of their trips to drive on the right side and after noon drive on the left side. Instead we have agreed to surrender that small freedom to make driving less perilous. With the progression of time the cities grew and there were more vehicles so a new idea was discovered, roads wise enough to allow for multiple vehicles to share the road side-by-side going in the same direction in addition to the aforementioned centerline agreement. This worked kind-of well but it did increase collisions as people had no restrictions and simply stayed on their side of the centerline but otherwise used the widened road as they pleased. This led to another agreement and we surrendered the freedom of swerving on our side of the centerline to restricting ourselves to lane markers and life became that much more ordered. Then came speed limits, turn signals, seatbelts, gasoline tax and in the not too distant future once electric cars rule the roads, mileage taxes as the government is going to take their slice of your driving freedom no matter what we wish individually. If we were to gather and as a group demand there never be a mileage tax, then that as the will of the people would win out.

 

The new influx of people do not understand that concept and instead believe that one is to do as they please until forced to restrain themselves and as soon as those restraints are not present returning to taking all they can by individual right of force. They have not developed the limiting constraints of total freedom. Initially, when introduced to a society where self-restraint is the rule of interactions, those raised with the concept of take what you can, when you can, wherever you can and do not allow anybody to tell you different for that if they do not back their demand up with overwhelming force and you believe you are the stronger, then ignore them and rebuke them with force if they do not understand your rights over their rights. These differently civilized believe in what we call the rule of the jungle, there are predators, then, and there is prey, how they view the people of Europe. The next step is easy, as long as the predator is of sufficient strength and power they feed on the prey but if the prey possesses massively superior numbers or size on their side the predator might decide to seek lesser prey on which to feed. Simple example is even a lion will choose to take down and eat a gazelle or antelope but hesitated when facing a herd of Cape Buffalo or a bull elephant. At the other extreme a lion will not challenge or even attempt to resist giving up their kill if a troop of hundreds of baboons challenge them over who gets the prize, the kill and who goes away still hungry. The leaders of Europe have allowed in a large and extremely aggressive troop of baboons, actually a number of troops of baboons and even our appointed lions, the police, are cowed and afraid to approach and restrain the troops as they run marauding and destroying the savannah where buildings grow as grasses and European lives are being destroyed. The lions can and will protect the sheeple but only if the sheeple can become more like cape Buffalos than sheeple. Up until now the standing rule in Europe was endeavor to persevere and otherwise to ignore the “little” inconveniences of the refugees as they became more acclimated to European society and the rules of the playground. Well, surprise, surprise; these refugees, or at least a large segment of those who came with them, have decided that the entirety of the playground is their game and they are the alpha-predators and Europeans simply do not matter as they are the Dhimmi, the kafir, they are those who Allah does not protect and thus if they do not protect themselves, then Allah’s will is for them to be subjugated by the true recipients of Allah’s will. Read their societal guidebook, we know it as the Quran but for all intents and purposes their guidebook may as well be the recently republished Mein Kampf which apparently had been purchased in unprecedented numbers such that it makes one wonder who are purchasing Mein Kampf and what are their plans for utilizing it.

Mein Kampf, the Quran, for those who are not of the defined chosen ones have no rights, no recourse, no hope unless they find a champion who will save them. Often these champions prove to be a bigger problem and bring greater ruination in the society when the results are measured. Simply look through history and it is replete with stories of the ruination brought by saviors. The French Revolution brought disorder and mass slaughters and the French needed a savior. Enter Napoleon Bonaparte and the disorder was ordered and then came the fall of France. The Romans needed somebody to repair their aging and slowly sinking society and enter the Caesars as a god-like status and absolute ruler banishing the Senate and any pretenses and Rome’s fate was thus sealed. The Czars had become too demanding and the Russian economy was negligent if not completely absent so they needed a savior. They attempted a form of democracy which was not given the necessary time and enter Lenin with “The Plan” and we know where that led for millions and millions of people and the ramifications’ ripples are still bouncing within the walls of Russia. Sure there have been saviors whose plan appears to have worked, the Founding Fathers of the United States, but they were a committee of as unlikely saviors as one could imagine, a group of gentrified aristocrats intent on forming a government of the people, of the masses for they know that the people as a whole have more ability to rule themselves given the correct tools.

But even the “Great Experiment in self-rule” which was, and for the time being still is, the United States still survives though many of its basic principles have been and are under assaulted and when any one branch of their governance breaks, the end will be in sight even if the visibility is clouded by the smoke and mirrors which will be used. There will come those who offer the promises of great changes and deepest hopes though both will be undefined, and in that lack of clarity lays the greatest lie of them all, the lies we tell ourselves that everything is fine, there is no threat, no problem, no reason to get all flustered and heated over, it will work itself out. Will it this time? Is this imported and continuing importation of this other which is not us, does not understand us, does not assimilate and become another part of us, will we prevail or will this be the blow that takes the timbers out from beneath us? These are your question Europe and as you decide, so likely will the rest of the Western World and the few who hold out will either be the sole hope for the future or eventually sink into the mire as it is being permitted to subsume all we hold dear, whether we know what it is or where we are guaranteed such. There is no surrender so pitiful as the one given without a fight for that is the voluntary subjugation. Is that the point that the Western World has sunk. Perhaps the only way to end this editorial, this excuse for commentary is to quote a giant amongst men who was treasured and reviled by his peers but he will always be respected no matter one’s loving embrace of his council or hateful spite begrudging him any credit he may be due, Samuel Adams will forever be the patriot for it was he who laid out so clearly the choice of his time, and it has now come to be our choice in our time. We know here where our feet will make that final stand when this is the time of decision. Samuel Adams explained it as such,

Do Not Sell Trump Campaign Out So Fast

 

The going money bets that when the primaries get going that the electorate will become more serious than they currently are with pollsters as their votes will be “for real” rather than for funzies. Sure Trump comes up with some of the most ridiculous ideas and his Muslims need not apply for entry into the United States as the door is locked is probably the leader of the pack of crazies that Trump has said and people think it just wonderful funzies. The problem is that the people have reached a frenzied point where there is a sizeable and potential plurality who have had it with any actual politician and Trump is most definitely, if nothing else, the anti-politician candidate going away. Trump is a winner even if only in his own mind and the world it has created where “You’re Fired!” was given great recognition and the people loved it and many are probably hoping that if Trump were to be elected there would be a great number of people told, “You’re Fired!” and possibly even entire Cabinet Departments because the people believe Trump would be just the lunatic to not only try but actually succeed in doing just that, and that excites them.

 

The idea of closing the borders, all the borders and to everybody if that is what is necessary to protect the nation, well, at least for a period until the world settles down from its current frenetic and fiery frenzy, just might be the right medicine for the right time. The other side of the coin is they know, as does The Donald, that a President Trump will have limitations the systems impose which will temper his activities, but they also hope he will break what rules are necessary to correct the misadventures of the last who even knows how long America has been adrift from her moorings. The one thing that polling has shown is that the bigger the mouthing-off The Donald does and the more ludicrous and impossible his suggestions, as long as they appear to be directed at the correct and identifiable problems as perceived by the electorate and the public in general, the higher Trump’s polling numbers appear to go so one can definitely say the people’s anger is quite palpable and the entire field of politicians in both parties will definitely feel this in the primaries and maybe even carrying into the elections. Further, this anti-politico anger bodes extremely badly for both Bush and Clinton as the two most identifiable politicians in the two parties. If the main goal of the party elites is to produce the lowest ever turnout in an election, offer the American public a Bush against Clinton Presidential race and watch the vast majority to simply give up on the system and be ready for anybody who promises to tear things down and start from scratch such as the constitution has written and the Bill of Rights and a broad reading of that and go from there. There is an awful lot of anger out there to tap into and the party that can excite that at the local level will be given a mandate to fix what’s been broken by overregulation and stifling Federal and State laws onerous in their applications and stripping government down to the bare bones and starting from a ground level. This is why the anti-politician with experience delegating and managing can and will play heavy in the upcoming Presidential election and whichever party, or both parties ignoring it do so at their own peril.

Donald Trump would make any campaign one of the most watched and should he gain the Republican nomination and then the general election, in both cases with sufficient numbers of the people, particularly in his Presidential election, that there could be no doubt that he would still be required to work with the Congress, especially on budget matters. Further, despite what President Obama has claimed that he will go rogue and act where he believes the nation should go, whether the Congress acts as fast as President Obama desires or not, that is all well and good; but the Congress, in particular the House of Representatives, will be required to act if one is going to have their agenda financed. There is scant little the President can accomplish if he has an adversarial Congress, and Trump is pretty much guaranteed to have an adversarial Congress. Furthermore, where is The Donald thinking he will find people to manage the different cabinet posts? Is he really so delusional that he believes he can ask the people he rubs elbows with and are eminently qualified to hold a cabinet position just because he asks them? These people make more money in a month than a cabinet post pays in a year and they make their money managing their money. These people are not about to let some “so-called” independent manager to invest and control their investments as they would be likely to lose as much per month compared to their making the choices than they would make in four years at a cabinet position. As for doing it for G0d and Country, if that would work then every President would have such people in their cabinets. The Donald will be just as hampered as any President in finding cabinet secretaries as looking to career political appointees and academics, all people who are receiving above their abilities in most cases than the cabinet post calls for. Even most upper middle management in the business world would be taking a cut in pay just to put on their resume they were in The Donald’s cabinet, and that would be the main draw to get competent people. The one cabinet position where there are a pool of well qualified candidates is Secretary of Defense, but that is because currently there is a number of top grade retired Generals and other senior officers due to the management of the defense of the United States by a Commander in Chief, we like to refer to him as the Ditherer in Chief, whose battle cry is, “To the rear charge and follow the backsides of the Europeans.”

 

No, a Donald Trump Presidency is nowhere near as disastrous as is being played up in the media. The media is worried they will not have the ‘as usual’ relationship with the White House as they now share, no matter which party holds the office of President. They know that instead of their framing the debate, there will be real thinking and bold, almost reckless, person in the White House and they will be left simply quoting him and making guesses what will come next. They know any attempt by their media elites to frame the discussion will be met by a “You’re Fired!” broadside as the Donald steers the Ship of State through dangerous mine-filled and rocky outcropped lined channels steering as if he was Captain Jack Sparrow without a care in the universe and using stars as wishing wells more than steerage points and still, like Captain Jack, coming through unscathed and much the better for the adventure. They are scared that he might actually succeed, which means that anybody really could be President and the nation survive, well, almost anybody as long as they meet two overriding qualifications, they consider themselves as President of the United States and not the bloody United Nations and second they love the nation and people of America.
