A Prayer Need be on Every Trump Supporter’s Lips

If one were to take a poll of answers of what prayer and number one concern should preoccupy every Donald Trump supporter’s lips and minds, they would get a wide and varied plethora of answers. Many would say their concern and prayer would focus on his being able to focus on the game plan and path laid out by his handlers and advisors. Others would pray for him to develop discipline as that is the most apparent trait of which Donald Trump has a deficiency. Then there is the general wish for him to stay on message of exclaiming Hillary Clinton’s numerous short-comings. There are those who want the e-mails in slot one with others wanting Benghazi to lead the list while others want the financial shenanigans and the Clinton Foundation misadventures. Some want that she sold State Department and other favors for donations to the Clinton Foundation or to her campaign funds and related 501C NGO’s, to be broadcast at every turn. Others simply want her to be pressed by Donald Trump in the remaining debates forcing her to exhibit the nasty temperament she tries so hard to conceal to be forced out on the stage of those world broadcasts. Almost all of these prayers and concerns focus on Donald Trump proving that Hillary is not fit for the office while exhibiting his qualities to be President. Believe it or not, all of these concerns or prayers miss what probably could be the single most important item, Hillary’s health and other problems remaining contained long enough for her to reach Election Day still on the ballot.

The problem comes for Donald Trump is that he and Hillary Clinton both have monstrous negatives with groups of the population that would never have voted for any Democrat or Republican. These people are not the problem for either candidate because diehard Democrats disgusted over Donald Trump on the ballot and similarly dedicated Republicans reviled by Hillary Clinton are all equally of no concern to either candidate. Now Democrats who are fighting their conscience in order to vote for Hillary Clinton and Republicans fighting their revulsion to vote for Donald Trump are very important as are those who are choosing third party or even voting across their party line and supporting the other major candidate are of paramount importance to both candidates. These are the voters who will be deciding this election and may even bring some surprises in any purple state and potentially even solid blue and red states. This means that both candidates are fortunate that their opponent also has a similar difficulty in retaining their party’s support. With both candidates facing a challenge in getting out their party vote, as many in each party are less than enthused over their party’s candidate, it will come down to which candidate gets their supporters to the polls and possibly gets sufficient disgusted members of their opponent’s party to the polls to vote for the opposing party. There is one more item which will have an effect one way or potentially the other; and that is Hillary Clinton’s health. So, what are the signs?

First Debate with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump

First Debate with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump

Well, Hillary Clinton completely collapsed at a 911 memorial ceremony. The claims that she had been suffering from pneumonia leaves other suspicions. Her smiling and almost chatty disposition and apparent robotic-like movements have left rumors that Hillary had been filled with questionable medications or stimulants to allow her to make it through the ninety-minute debate last Monday. That smile which gave the appearance of the smile worn by The Joker in the Batman movies simply fed suspicions as to what ailment of afflictions Hillary Clinton suffers. Those who continue to believe that Hillary Clinton is the next best thing to the coming of a Messiah, she has no problems and her recovery from pneumonia was nothing less than more proof of her monumental and near godlike recuperative powers. The collapse, coughing and lack of appearances including refusing media access in any unscripted scenario such as answering questions after any appearance simply added fuel to the rumors of the problems causing Hillary to avoid public appearances. Hillary has even held to a sparse number of campaign appearances presumably because she was in debate preparations, apparently for well over a month. Who knew Donald Trump might pose such a challenge for the presumably overly qualified and superior candidate Hillary who is immeasurably more qualified by any comparison reported by the mainstream media. Apparently preparation was that thorough and lengthy and who are we mortals to question Hillary Clinton, the inevitable one.

Here is why Donald Trump supporters had best pray that Hillary remains healthy because Donald Trump is not prepared to face any other Democrat candidate. Should Hillary Clinton fall so ill as to withdraw from the campaign and resign as the Democrat candidate then the Democrats could choose virtually anyone to take her place. This would mean that Donald Trump would need to destroy this new handpicked candidate in the remaining two debates or face a humiliating loss. Imagine the excitement that would be resultant from Hillary Clinton leaving the ticket and Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren or Joe Biden be placed as her replacement. Each would bring a decisive alteration and the Hillary supporters would likely be beseeched by Bill Clinton to support the new candidate as this would be the best tribute they could provide and this would please Hillary and Bill Clinton and who could resist such a supplication. Additionally, there would be the additional supporters which would start coming out of the woodwork and the Democrats would soon have their entire party excited to support their candidate and Donald Trump would be facing an invigorated Democrat Party while the Republican Party would remain in its current dismal state with entire wings of the party contemptuous of their Party’s candidate. Remove Hillary and place any normal candidate with anything even approaching normal negatives and baggage, even if false identifying as a Native American or not being an actual Democrat but instead a dedicated card carrying socialist independent, would not work to the detriment that Hillary Clinton provides for the candidacy of Donald Trump to allow the necessary hope for him to win the Presidency. No, the only Democrat candidate which would allow any hope for Donald Trump to win the Presidential elections would be a Hillary Clinton and none other so her health is of paramount importance to the Trump Camp if he is to have any hope of being elected President. So, Trump supporters would be advised to add Queen Hillary having good health to their nightly prayers or whatever supplications of which they partake if they hope for Donald to have any hope of a chance to win come November 8, Election Day.

The Bloodletting is About to Strike Election Rhetoric

The combination of Donald Trump’s infamous acceptance of personal attacks against his business acumen and denials about his self-worth in billions of dollars and Hillary Clinton’s lack of real qualifications other than gender and susceptibility to attacks on her integrity, honesty, and dedicated corruption, there will be much muckraking, ridiculing, disparagement and name-calling. Both sides will trade blow for blow, assault for assault, insult for insult, derision for derision and snideness for snideness. The effect of both candidates taking to the low road will simply act to snowball the crudeness and vulgarity of the exchanges until it serves the purpose one side has intended, driving people from voting for either candidate and going shopping at the mall, watching movies at home, cleaning out the garage or even cleaning the gutters and windows; anything to take their minds from the elections due to the disparaging carnage of the campaigns. You want to ask why either candidate would desire forcing people to be so revolted from the nature of the campaigns such that they prefer not voting or voting third party just as long as they are not responsible for electing either candidate as both would appear unacceptable as the leader of the free world. It would be a campaign gone so low that no revulsive act or revolting comment or other conduct beyond the pale would be left out as each candidate tries to out-defame the other with all decorum left long behind. So, why would either candidate take this as their planned campaign strategy? Because one of the candidates will need for the turnout to be as low as can possibly be forced and may be willing to do whatever it takes to reach such a point.

Donald Trump would like to keep diehard Democrats from voting and would desire to have what has been identified as the Trump voters get out and vote. Still, he would not desire for low turnout all the way across the board. Donald Trump may have a core group of voters who would come out to vote for him no matter what, but such voters would make up but a minor set of the public. On the other side, Hillary Clinton is fully supported by the power elite in the Democrat Party and they have core constituencies which would vote for the Democrat candidate regardless of any distraction or detraction. This means in a super low turnout where only the core voters from each camp came out to vote, Hillary Clinton would swamp Donald Trump and coast to possibly the largest Electoral College wipeout even possibly surpassing the Reagan near sweep in his second election to the Presidency. With a depressed turnout of a general and sweeping measurable amount where record low turnout was recorded in every state, Hillary Clinton could conceivably even win in Oklahoma and Texas only losing in Wyoming to Donald Trump. So, we have a reason for taking the election campaign to such a low point that large sectors of the electorate was so revolted by the nature of the campaign they refused to support either candidate. So, that raises the question of whether or not Donald Trump could show the class not to respond in kind to such a berating assault on all levels from an intentional classless campaign by Hillary Clinton. Many claim that he would lack the necessary self-control to resist such attacks.

We have already seen Donald Trump at his worst during most of the republican primary campaign especially in his exchanges with FOX’s Megyn Kelly and the exchanges about the size of his hands in relations to something far more crass and even an attack on the wife of Ted Cruz or about the facial attractiveness of fellow candidate Carly Fiorina. These were definitely Donald Trump at his worse. We can only wonder if we have seen Hillary Clinton at her worst.

The problem and main reason that the campaign of Hillary Clinton for President would be going low is because of her lack of a laudable record which she can tout. Her short stint as Senator of New York was about as lacking in highlights as any on record. Her record as Secretary of State is fraught with problems as it brings into the conversation Benghazi, e-mails and the record with Libya and the Arab Spring; all of which her campaign probably would rather avoid. Even her time as First Lady there was her disastrous attempt to secretively fashion a healthcare system which even the Democrats in Congress refused as well as the entire bimbo explosions including Monica Lewinsky who could also be referred to as the “devil in the blue dress.” For those with really good memories for trivia, they may even remember Hillary Clinton making a comment about how she could have settled for staying home and baking cookies as a disparaging remark. Truthfully, Hillary Clinton has more challenge potential than accomplishments in her political history with some definitive explosive mines which if triggered could prove devastating. Many a political advisor had pointed to disparaging Donald Trump as a look at how horrible and distasteful a person Trump is and would be as President and he is completely unmanageable and unpredictable and sell herself as stable by comparison without ever pointing to any qualifications on her side and simply throwing accusations at Trump hoping he explodes and self-destructs. The less reaction the Clinton Campaign elicits out of Donald Trump or his campaign personnel, the more radical and shrill the Clinton campaign and echo-chamber mainstream media will become claiming ever more absurd and insane accusations against Donald Trump. Every last bankruptcy any organization, company or other business interest has ever experienced, every little old lady who may have been evicted to make room for any project which Trump or any related group was involved in and the thousands coming out of the woodwork filing suits against Trump over Trump University false representation and other suits over anything conceivable will be filed hoping to bury Trump under quantity of assaults even if many have absolutely no quality or substance. Everything will be launched at Donald Trump hoping anything sticks while the lawsuits will expose Trump to bad media coverage and hoping to tie him up with so many lawsuits such that he has no time to campaign. The assaults will be ever escalating only to evaporate as soon as Election Day arrives.

Ugly, ugly, ugly, thy cause is Clinton and everything ugly which can be implied, applied, decried or provide to shame candidate Trump claiming his being unfit to hold the office of President. All will be pulled from the deck in order to deflect any and all attention from the suitability of Hillary Clinton holding the office of President. The entire Clinton campaign will be composed around the unsuitability of Donald Trump and some light suitability qualifications pertaining to Hillary and of course the fact that she would be the first woman President, probably her only true qualification, if being the first is something the Americans should use as the singular qualification for President. Rather than beat this dead horse, possibly the only thing that Donald Trump will not be accused of killing, we should just bow aside and let the candidates test one another and see if Donald Trump can remain calm and scripted and how completely out of her mind a calm Donald Trump will send one Hillary Clinton and how the media will blame her meltdown on Donald Trump’s misogynistic tendencies.

American Election, Self-Absorbed, Ignoring World Crises

Spend time reading the distressing news coverage of the upcoming American elections and the subjects vary from the superfluous to the mundane all the while ignoring anything more serious than illegal immigrations from Mexico or the American economy. Most of the coverage zeroes in on misspeaks and gaffs while attempting to gloss over Hillary Clinton’s e-mails and ignoring all things concerning foreign policy, especially her time as Secretary of State, Benghazi and the loss of four American lives including an Ambassador, the Clinton Foundation contributions for favors potential scandal and any other foreign policy problems facing the United States, Europe or the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This is nothing new as American elections are almost always about the economy, jobs and the manufactured crisis which usually activates in October and has been even given a name, the October surprise. Not all elections require the emergency October surprise which is usually targeted at one of the candidates to make them appear weak or unprepared while the other will receive a last minute bounce just in time for election Day. Even the political considerations are usually a secondary affect in the election and in recent elections it has become a popularity contest. One would easily believe that the elections are actually the American public voting en-masse for class president and not the presumed most powerful man or woman in the world. As long as the candidate is perceived as the most personable and least threatening, then they need only motivate their base and make a final push with slick advertising campaign using all forms of media including radio, television and internet, especially social media. The social media campaign is largely handled by younger voters and volunteers so whichever candidate has the greatest number of youthful volunteers has an advantage in the final push on social media. There is one final area of effect which comes from organized media including talk radio, television news and commentary, radio news and entertainment shows on both radio and television such as the Tonight Show, South Park, Saturday Night Live, Howard Stern and any and every entertainer imaginable. It has been the contest of personalities since President Bill Clinton played saxophone to prove his suitability and his being in with ‘it,’ and it all depends on what the meaning of it is, that may have pushed him to victory despite some negatives which had been hounding him. Some present that President George W. Bush was elected due to scare campaigns pushed on conservative talk radio which resulted in his election. President Obama has been all about the cult of personality.

All of this about an election between two people with the highest negatives ever coming into the election campaign and their final push. Many have pointed out that the choice is between a self-absorbed lunatic clown and a crooked untrustworthy liar. Talk about between a rock and a hard place; this election is truthfully exactly that. The choice is also described as total unpredictability against predictable deceit. Obviously the choices in the upcoming Presidential Elections in the United States could easily be said to leave a little to be expected better than the available choices. The problems were legion in the primaries of both parties. One party used power politics and back room dealings to force the choice to the promised one while the other permitted in numerous places anybody to vote and as they had over fifteen choices at the start. This permitted one to take an early lead due to name recognition and being the sole personality who received media coverage beyond any advertising the rest could manage combined. This led to both parties having regrets and second guessing as to whether the candidate they ended up with on their ballot was necessarily their best choice. With the candidates they ended up presenting, Hillary Clinton on the Democrat Party side and throwing out Donald Trump on the Republican side, both parties are limping with the choice they became stuck with. The Democrat difficulties were evident outside and within the convention in Philadelphia while the Republican problems have been far more evident as one group of party elites coming forward demanding some way be found to disrupt and intervene to block Trump all the way up to a vote taken in the convention rules committee where the elites were silenced by an overwhelming rejection of their attempt to release delegates from their obligations in order to get the selection past the first ballot and hope to then introduce a candidate the elites found more presentable and aligned to the party elites. The difference is on one side the elites cherry picked the candidate they desired to present while the other part the elites were shocked and dismayed by the choice which came from the primary votes cast across the nation. In either case there are going to be elites sore about the choice no matter which party wins.

Of all the items about this election, the hardest of things will be predicting who will win. We can count on one fact which will be soothing, polling will not be anywhere near as accurate as in the past as many of the voters only own cell phones so they may not be polled by robo-calls. Further, many younger voters are very difficult to poll and older voters are already telling pollsters that they will likely not be sure which candidate they will support until Election Day morning, some not until the levers are before them and still others have mentioned closing their eyes and never looking at the paper record as they prefer not to know. There has already been a perfect example of how horridly polling has proven. Donald Trump won primary after primary while polling kept claiming he was about to crash and burn and pull out of the primary elections disgraced and head hanging low. On the other side the polls initially claimed that Bernie Sanders would be a laughing stock and have little if any effect on the primaries which was to be a contest between Clinton, Chafee, Webb and O’Malley and if needed Biden could come in late and save the party. Bernie was not supposed to create the Bern yet had the primary system in the Democrat Party had been weighted more towards the voters in the primaries; he might have stolen the candidacy from Hillary just as President Obama had done. So, Trump was supposed to burn out while Sanders was never supposed to Bern. Go figure.

Presidential Rivals Not So Different on Far Too Many Positions

Presidential Rivals Not So Different

So the election drive is lining up at the start line and the red lights at the top of the tree just blinked off and the first yellow bar is lighted and about to continue down soon to hit green in now in the middle of August and then the candidates are heading down the quarter year sprint with election Day as the finish line. Just as in a drag race, the start is more smoke than flashing down the track as they try to get initial traction and pull out first ahead of the field. We have a number of third party candidates with Gary Johnson representing the Libertarian Party, Jill Stein representing the Green Party, Darrell Castle representing the Constitution Party and a number of what can only be called lesser party and completely independent candidates. Yes, most, if not all, of these third party candidates and independents have no possible path to the Presidency for no other reason other than lack of credibility, lack of money and complete lack of media coverage unless they say something so ridiculous that it all but disqualifies them from the human race, then they would get one day coverage. So, the reality is by early November the world will know who to fear and what kind of fear they will have by the end of the third week of the new year. So, until then we get to fantasize and guess what will be coming in the next year when President Obama retires to write his memoirs and, if you believe rumor, work on his resume so he can be the next Secretary General of the United Nations. One thing for sure, Obama is still thinking big and the problems with him heading the United Nations are beyond imagination. What causes me to wake at night in a cold sweat is the thought of Obama as head of the United Nations and Bernie Sanders as President of the United States, at least I can put that nightmare to bed.

The talk shows and media have been having a field day with Donald Trump but after his last appearance he appears to have been forced by whatever means were necessary to follow a script to the teleprompter letter to the letter to the letter. This will provide the media with a very boring Trump for as long as his discipline holds out. Hillary Clinton, on the other side, appeared to have some very sticky legal predicaments until she officially became the Democrat candidate for President. Now the FBI, CIA, State Department and Attorney General’s Office are all in her corner and have been instructed to make everything disappear. Well, not so much disappear but more to pass along as not really all the prosecutable as technically things are not as clear as they may have appeared to the public and things are far more complicated than we the stupid old public could ever understand. There are finessing situations which demand delicate treatment and assessments so complicated with oblique and acute angles which are not actually complementary leaving room between legal and illegal and Hillary and Bill Clinton were playing in that grey area between the lines. Meanwhile, Donald Trump has said some wild claims and some were contradictory to earlier statements, as the media has made sure we heard about, and thus who knows where Trump stands on anything. That will be as close to honest reporting on either candidate as they will lie one into public menace number one and lie the other one into the White House if at all able. It is a sad day America has reached when the mainstream media takes sides on elections becoming almost a spokesperson repeating every accusation against one side while pampering the other. I would love to say the American Presidential race will be exciting but I cannot do so. I can promise that we will try and find things worthy of reporting or commenting upon but really this election looks like we will be facing more of the same for the entire campaign which will eventually become overly tedious. Imagine how our friends in the United States will feel as they will receive little if any real news between now and Election Day. For the average American the entire world just went black and nothing exists outside Hillary and the Donald. The world will continue on and things both good and horrific will continue to happen around the world but little will occur making the evening news as the election blanks out everything even if World War III were to begin, assuming it has not already.
