What is Understandable and What is Beyond Belief

When we read news about a new protest in France, a Synagogue having a firebomb thrown at it from a passing car in Malmo, that Germany is once again printing Mein Kampf with explanations (pertaining to its possible odious nature) as if such intellectual garb would change the readers desires, and that Mein Kampf immediately topped every chart in Europe is also accepted at face value. That the BDS and Israel Apartheid assassins of honor have deployed to campuses across the United States to besmirch Israel, Zionists and far too many Jews in general unless they swear allegiance to the poor, unfortunate and beleaguered Palestinian and their noble and righteous cause does not surprise us. I can forgive those Jews who refuse to admit their love for Israel out of fear of engendering confrontations, though I can tell them a good strong stating of, “Yes, I am a proud Zionist and I love Israel and plan on living in a nation that would even permit your demonstrations even in Jerusalem because they are a free nation but should you with all your love for the Palestinian were caught in Gaza and known to be an American, you would be held for ransom and if it took the State Department two days to acquiesce, then I would really hate to be in your shoes in that company,” as such as bold statement said loud and proud would so startle them that you could then walk right between them as they would open like grocery store doors. But it takes practice to speak in such a tone that it places fear in the hearts of Dobermans and German Shepherds, even a pack of them roaming as feral wildings.

The numerous establishment church synods divesting from all investment in Israel as that stands right in line with their replacement theology which they can deny they still believe the Jews were forsaken by Hashem and serve some fallen angel which does not even exist in Judaism as we understand that Hashem had to allow evil otherwise goodness would simply be what was as it is in heaven and we mere mortals would not have free will as there would be no need for will at all; we would all simply be as our only choices would be normal. The churches who either publically or silently hold to their replacement theology do have a very good reason for attempting to destroy Israel and make life for the Jews who live there because one of their own doctrines point to the fact that Jews used to be nationless because Hashem had exiled them for their sin of not being Christians, Catholics, Episcopalians, Methodist, Orthodox or any of the other Protestant or Christian variant and not recognizing Jesus of Nazareth as the first coming of the Messiah and for that crime the Romans dispersed 80% of the Jews to all the reaches of their empire. The fact that Jewish Prophets had told of this coming exiles and it was spelled out even before the exile in Egypt to Abraham that the people promised as his primary and permanent beneficiaries of their relations with Hashem through which the eventual Mashiach would be brought forth were to experience three exiles, the first would be Egypt followed a period later by the exile in Babylon and finally the longest and at times seeming insufferable exile which resulted from the Roman Dispersion, the exile which has begun the ingathering. This is partly why there is the growing evidence for Jews to realize that their future is either Israel or becoming the new lost tribe which may well be described as the lost tribe from assimilation rather than like that of the original lost tribes as these will be somewhat voluntary or through lack of exposure as parents were all but lost to assimilation.

The Churches who will insist in holding dearly to their replacement theology which inevitably gets to how the Jews forsaking their favor with Hashem ignoring the last exile predicted by Prophets to be unlike any previous but also fortunately the final exile. This exile had another even more ominous story which has come true in many ways, the prophesy of the dry bones whose message was difficult to fathom until the Holocaust and the returning to Eretz Yisroel. Still, the conditions also had to be a part in how many Jews were forced from their homes; many were family homes which had been in their families for centuries, even for over a century. The stories will all be fascinating in their own special and not always the most positive of ways but all will be miracles in what is a time of renewed miracles. There will be those which are uplifting and those which will have us cry, there will be some tragic, some magical, some still unready for telling, some so very telling and some nothing short of a whole new kind of miracles. The returning of the ten lost tribes of Israel had started and with it stories beyond belief and with amazements and changes which will add new colors, new practices, new viewpoints, new holidays and returning Jews who have things to share and who will be enthralled and amazed by the Judaism they may not have realized existed while some may only recently have realized and been identified as one of the lost tribes of Israel. The coming future for Israel and for Judaism will be full of interest and poignantly punctuated with emotional reunions with tears of joy and losses to assimilation which each will bring tears of mourning as every single solitary Jew lost from a tribe is the loss for all the tribes as their hole in our whole slowly becomes a tear told with the tears of relationships never started, families not having a Brit Milah, Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah, or Wedding or generations of Mitzvahs and the generations and the loss to the body of Judaism is an unhealable wound which though unseen leaves and aching hearts in Heaven.

The previous all comes from the understandable part of the title. The problems cannot come from the Christians in the twenty-first century as they have given up on such things as pogroms, burning at the stake, thumbscrews, the rack and other equally distressing tortures and forms of murdering any heretic, or Jew as there was little difference. The main difference back when this was in style was dependent on who was applying the tortures and killing. Each Christian community if they were Catholic they would include Protestants and Muslims while the Protestants would include Catholics and Muslims and lastly the Muslims would add all Christians and as already established, all would target the Jews who having no land of their own could only be ready at the slightest sign of danger to relocate often within less than an hour. This may explain why Jews even through half of the Twentieth Century often had a few suitcases with religious items which would be taken out when necessary and returned as soon as feasible along with clothes, cookware, expensive and other precious, both monetary and sentimental, and a few days dried food and water in case a hasty departure became necessary. Those who had this predecessor to the bug-out bag lived when the pogrom started and the people approached the Jewish sector with torches and weaponry fled and lived to see another day and when feeling they had run sufficient distance and found a friendlier clime, then they would start by building their new home again in the Jewish sector, often called the Jewish Ghetto.

Losing Jewish children to assimilation which in those days meant conversion which meant living outside the Jewish ghetto and practicing Christianity or Islam in open where others watched and many also practiced their newfound religion in private and had made a complete conversion leaving Judaism as it was simply too dangerous and they did not feel attached more to their Judaism than to the area where they lived. These Jews who became the newly true converted Christians or Muslims were often some of the most devout so as to avoid any doubts and often their children were never told of their Jewish roots. Some of those lost Jews have looked up their parent’s, parent’s, parent’s parents, tracing both sides of their family tree, and in a fair number of cases their parents, both mother and father, were true Jews. Despite having converted to Christianity, or Islam, they continued to marry former Jews often meaning to keep the faith alive. These curious young adults heard of the forced conversions done sometimes centuries past and they felt some need to know. Some was curiosity and some it changed their whole lives. Those few whose interest was to determine who they were and for them it was a search for an identity they suspected as their grandparents had a Bible which was different kept hidden in a chest in their bedroom. When some were young they saw such a thing or picked up on some things which made them wonder like why did whenever the grandparent were with them did mother always light a pair of candles quietly in the kitchen when the children were with father, always father would take them for a walk and when they returned there were candles lighted and never a reason, it was just because or they brightened up the room or some logical answer that hid the reality, grandmother still kept the Sabbath. These often were the ones who brought copies of all the paperwork to a Rabbi and asked what they would need to do to become Jews and many were surprised when Rabbis told them they were born Jewish because of the lineage of their mother through her mother and so on back to the mother who converted under threat. The men were less than enthusiastic about the Brit Milah and the women had to be instructed and assisted by the Rabbi’s wife and other women with the purification. The largest groups of rediscovered Jews which we have heard or read about were in Poland. Many have applied to come to Israel and we pray their passage home is not too taxing.

As beyond belief as the rediscovered Jews from Poland and other places including in the Islamic and Christian lands, that too was not what we are having so much difficulty understanding. Oddly enough, the Jews who have no feelings to return home to Israel and like their lives wherever they reside we again have little problem believing as we met a fair number who just could not understand why we would want to move to Israel with all the terrorism and dangers. We attempted to present the facts that even with the terrorism, one is safer in Israel than being in the United States with the crime problems and we mentioned that just like where we lived you did not go certain places especially after dark, we failed to mention some of the places in Israel you do not go at all, day or night. We wish them well and may only the best in life be ahead for each and every one of them. Now on to the unfathomable. The unfathomable are the myriads of Jews residing in Israel as well as the others situated around the world who, for reasoning that escapes our ability to understand, simply feel compelled to destroy Israel as the Jewish State and desire to turn it over to swarms of Arab Muslim extremist terror mongers from which would come a bloodbath flooding the landscape with Jewish, Christian, Druze and even Muslim blood as they swarmed over the land like giant locust destroying every structure and field of grass and crops alike leaving nothing but a blood soaked ruination behind them that fateful day. The Jews who stand against Israel should mind their own house as the Zionists care little about their religious interpretations and confusion as to whether reclaiming the land precedes the Mashiach or the Mashiach precedes the reclaiming of the land. Just a little food for thought, before Hashem parted the Red Sea, did not Nahshon, a son of Amminadab, descendant in the fifth generation of Judah, and brother-in-law of Aaron, not need to show faith and walk into the sea until it washed over his head for Hashem would provide the miracle. Has not every miracle always been preceded by two things, prayers and an act of faith that Hashem will provide. Zionists are today’s Nahshon walking into the Red Sea until we are in over our heads and then will come our salvation, ours and yours. So may you stay safe until that day and along the way not feed the enemies who would see us both destroyed.

Those residing or instigating here in Israel would be as devoured by the carnage as would any of the most devout Zionist, religious Hassidic, Christian of all origins and even every secular humanistic post-Zionist defender of so-called Palestinian rights to their own homeland. What these anti-religious zealots, ever so much as dedicated to their secularist religion, have never bothered to investigate is exactly what it is the leadership, which unfortunately is the entire mind of the terrorist body of the beast, actually is willing to accept in order to stop making false accusations and extremist rhetoric and demands for simply more without their ever having to answer the all-important question, how much more. They will refuse to ever give a direct answer; instead, when responding to how much is enough they will simply reply in a voice that would stop butter from melting on their tongues, “Our fair share,” “Our natural homeland,” “Just what we have asked for all along,” and my favorite, “Our stolen lands back.” These vagaries all hide the truth which can be heard from their minions across college campuses throughout the Western world where slogans are discarded as meaningless and not representative of any reality, but this one says exactly the entire truth, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine must be free.” Did you catch your answer, you useful idiots, to that all important question, “How much?” “From the River to the Sea.” Which means death for you and me. That should be the second line screamed over the top of Palestine must be free as the truth is their free Palestine is the second Shoah, the second six million plus slaughtered Jews along with another four or five million other Israelis including every last secular humanist Jew who touts the post-Zionist line that the lands we hold were stolen by conquering colonialists. Here is a radical thought for you, every piece of land outside of the patch where humanoids first came down from the trees losing that battle as the trees were safety and started learning to run or die, from that patch of grass where the first bipedal humanoid stepped down from that tree, every other inch of land has been conquered from some other animal or humanoid biped. There is your truth. I, for one, believe Israel is the land that will produce more miracles for the rest of mankind than all the nations throughout history and through future history yet told. The first miracle was the Israeli birth on May 15, 1948 when just as promised by our sages, Israel was born in one day, and Israel came to be at sunset and the L0rd looked down and saw it was good and for the first time in eons he slept well for one night because the very next day, in case you missed this in your history course, the barbarians were at it trying to tear asunder all that was declared and was realized if only in that one moment. The birth of Israel would have continued without any further bloodshed had all been left right there, but alas. Had the Arabs at any point accepted Israel in any of the ever smaller borders offered and gone on to build their lives instead of trying to take our lives, then all the bloodshed would have ended, period. So, how about we try and give this exclamation a try, “From the River to the Sea, no more bloodshed by you or me.”

Beth Chayim Chadashim Progressive Synagogue in Los Angeles hosted Peter Beinart who gave what has been termed a provocative, anti-Zionist speech on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. One quote from his presentation encapsulated the tenor of his entire presentation which repeated much of his leftist, borderline J-Street, refutable tripe where he claimed, “While we condemn Palestinian violence, we must recognize this painful truth: that Israeli policy has encouraged it. Israel has encouraged it by penalizing Palestinian nonviolence, by responding to that nonviolence by deportations, teargas, imprisonment, and the confiscation of Palestinian lands. Hard as it is to say, the Israeli government is reaping what it has sowed.” Some of the largest holes in his arguments are his definitions of nonviolence which he maintains the Israeli government overreacts was the weekly riots in the village of Bil’in, which involves such provocations as striking IDF soldiers, yelling curses in their faces, spitting on the soldiers, attempts to steal their weapons, pulling on arms, tearing at their uniforms, yanking on their equipment and other edgy but technically non-violent acts which take a well-disciplined, well-trained and well-ordered units of soldiers to take with only the mildest of self-defense and conservatively measured responses which does not include any of the reactions stated by Mr. Beinart. To rise to the level of simple response of teargas, and possibly detainment but not leading to any charges but simply detainment for a period until the riots are disbanded, these riots regularly rise to stone throwing which sometimes included rather large stones as in the second picture below and these rocks are more accurately described as small boulders. I would love to see Mr. Beinart placed within one of these IDF units and see his reaction to the kinds of provocations commonly utilized at this particular site as these provocations are most often orchestrated and led by the Bilal Tamini family who seek violent reactions and often will continue their provocations for hours in an attempt to provoke any video which can be used to claim IDF overreaction and often leave without film. Bilal Tamini have been known to use false videos which use Arabs dressed in IDF styled uniforms for some of his claims which have been debunked but are still shown as if they were accurate displays of IDF violent actions against innocent Arabs. Perhaps these are that which Mr. Beinart keeps referring to as they reinforce his perception of Zionist Israelis as all Nationalists in his views and are automatically violence prone fascists. Sorry that Mr. Beinart has a pacifist filter he uses when judging Arab actions making their antagonistic violence as respectable acts as they are the oppressed fighting against imperial colonialists which is likely his picture of Israelis, as if they were real Jews with proper values, they would live in the United States instead of stolen lands of the Middle East as if the United States was founded entirely in virgin lands free of prior habitation.

We will not bother to dispute Mr. Beinart’s speech line-by-line or even concept-by-concept, as such had been done on many occasions elsewhere, but instead a discussion of the situation in Israel which makes virtually all the criticisms by Beinart, J-Street and the other faux-peace, faux-pro-Israel, faux-pro-Zionist faux-pro-Jewish NGOs supported by the New Israel Fund points mute. Neither will we go item-by-item on the many European donors and governments which spend almost all their efforts criticizing Israel and forgiving any and all provocations and even terror attacks claiming that any Jews residing in Israel are guilty of heinous crimes against the Arabs and deserve whatever happens including being murdered by terrorist acts. Having lived across the United States, we have experienced leftist Jews who cannot find it in their heart to care for Israel unless Israelis are able to live up to some perfection beyond even the most righteous of prophets from Biblical eras. They set an unattainable expectation and then support any acts against Israel for not meeting their unhinged expectations. We have met Jews who question fellow Jews who are making Aliyah and simply state that such Jews are not mentally stable as they are leaving the real promised land which they define as anywhere where liberal policies are enforced by law and public expectations as peer pressure. Their view is the United States is the enlightened Nirvana which should be considered to be the new Promised Land while Israel should be a vacation resort like a holy land version of Disneyland. If they were to visit Israel they would likely stay in Tel Aviv, a city which can be favorably compared with New York or Los Angeles in the United States with malls, five star hotels, and a political leftist liberal progressive the American Jews understand and can maintain their comfort zone. Us, we reside in what is referred to as the periphery and loving it. What distresses the leftists is that Israel is turning back to our religion and the religious and the Jabotinsky Zionists are both sectors of Israeli society which are growing. The interesting reality is that the Jews making Aliyah when they arrive in Israel, most become more Zionist and nationalist and the majority begins to make a slow, or even a sudden sharp turn towards keeping the commandments and becoming more religious.

The United States is welcome to be the Nirvana the leftist Jews believe it to be, but it will never be the Promised Land as that title resides in Eretz Yisroel. There are things about Israel which if you tell people who are unknowing, they will at best laugh and at worse scorn, never speaking with you ever again as they will have permanently judged you as suffering some form of dementia or other mental disorder. Allow me to relate a story I once read about which tells a truth which any of the myriad of empires who tried to get the lands to produce and failed so miserably that many sent only their most cursed to assignments here as a form of punishment yet, as modern Israel had proven as did our forefathers proved long ago, Eretz Yisroel gives up her treasures and produce, her fruit and benefits, her grazing lands and fills her wells for the Jews and denies these gifts to others.

This story involves a family farm where the father comes in from tending their small farm and comments that the rains have been ample and they have a great crop coming in this year. He claims that Allah has been kind. His elderly grandfather clears his throat and starts to almost whisper in a hoarse throaty voice which comes from years of smoking kief mixed with tobacco. He starts telling about the years of the skies holding on to their rains refusing to feed the parched lands. He tells how his childhood they are the most poor quality grains and how his family, like all those who came before, were barely able to produce sufficient for their own consumption but then the rains began to return. But the rains fell mostly on the Galilee and it took a while before the rains fell in the Gaza. Finally, around the turn of the century the rains returned to the Gaza and the fields began to produce. The rain was reason enough to accept and believe that the old writings were true, this was the land of the Jews and would only produce for the Jews and those who befriend them. This was the take the old man told his grandson and he advised he too love the Jews or the rains would once again fail.

One wonders how the rains are on the family farm now under Hamas, but that does not matter as Israel provides enough water for the fields and cities of Gaza and does so without receiving payment. The same goes for two-thirds of the electricity in the Gaza. Perhaps it matters little as Israel allows for tons of food and medical stores and supplies to enter Gaza every day and even did so last summer the entire time of the offensive against Hamas. Where else does any nation provide food, medical provisions and other materials including construction materials while engaging in a fight for the safety of the entirety of the nation providing these goods to basically their enemy. Only Israel bothers and takes such care to differentiate between the people and the terror masters who rule over the people and intentionally endanger these same people by their tactics of firing their rockets often from immediately next to their safe buildings. One might expect the world or at least the Europeans would be able to observe that the Israelis and the IDF in particular, go to extremes to preserve life, both their own and that of the Arab foes, especially noncombatants. This truth was most brought to the foreground by the The Turkel Commission which included Wolff Heintschel von Heinegg, Vice–President of the Europa–Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt sitting as a member of the commission which found the IDF not only met standards of the International Rules of Warfare but went to such lengths to avoid collateral deaths and to limit damages when engaging targets such as using multiple methods to warn of coming military assaults such that Hamas and the other enemy force actually had time to prepare for the IDF assault knowing where they would be attacking, from what direction the attack would originate, the time the attack would commence and whether there would be any artillery or other softening of the target area before the assault. This has also been quoted by numerous other studies and actual formal complaints from separate western nations complaining that their militaries would be unable to meet the standards set forth by the IDF and that the use of IDF standards were counterproductive to their militaries as they might also be held to such standards. Despite such feigned praise, the United Nations and collected organizations still found reasons to claim that the IDF caused far too much damage, used collective punishment, and used disproportional force as well as there was an unhealthy divergence in casualties between the Arab combatants and civilians compared to those suffered by the Israelis which was largely, if not absolutely, the result of the use of shelters and the unbelievable accuracy and kill percentage of the Iron Dome anti-missile system and also, in at least one case, the hand of Hashem.

None of this really matters as the truth has become malleable in this age and people can introduce their own delusions as facts and if they match and support some groups feelings, whether warranted or not, then those delusions will take on the weight of truth. One need not look any further than the BDS movement which desires to economically cripple Israel, not help the Arabs living amongst the Jews largely in peace even beyond the Green Line. Their attempts to boycott all goods coming from Israeli owned companies beyond the Green Line in order to punish Jews for living and working beyond what these self-appointed harbingers of all that is righteous and lawful are actually robbing the Arabs they claim to be supporting as the Israeli companies they are boycotting employ large percentages of their staff from the Arab villages near their locations and the supermarkets serve the Arabs as well as Jews with some locations of these markets within Arab communities. These employers also pay at a far higher rate than do the Arab employers and provide better benefit packages, but why should the truth ever enter into the argument. These businesses actually are examples of what the likes of Roger waters claim to desire, Jews and Arabs working side by side as equals with both Arabs and Jews in management positions and such are awarded according to merit and not at all as Mr. Waters protests. Needless to say, Mr. Waters has never come to Israel and toured these companies to see the truth because he, like much of his ilk even to include the self-loathing Jews who protest right there with the other leftist extremists against Israel, do not care about the truth, they are haters of one of two of the greatest evils leftists have always hated, the Jews and religious people of any Judeo-Christian faith. That is the truth that so many refuse to state as doing so labels you as a hater which in this case means that it is permissible to hate one who holds such beliefs, it says nothing about that person, it says volumes about those making the accusations.

Maybe this would be a good time to explore the real reason that so much of the world is attempting to throw off the perceived yoke with which they view the Judeo-Christian ethic. Hitler stated his basis for hatred of the Jews and disdain for Christianity, the later he mollified later as the Christians were to become a necessary group if he was to achieve his ultimate goals, something which took the inhuman struggle and sacrifices to prevent his madness from eclipsing the entire globe. Others throughout History have also taken on the struggle to end the Jews and always for the same reason, morality. The introduction of Judaism, which gave the world the Ten Commandments and a code of laws which formed the basis for Western Civilization and its morality and was the impetus to end idolatry and the sexual perversions, child and human sacrifice, established the basis for economic transactions including the requirements which formed the prerequisite for selling and establishing deeds for the purchase of lands and residences which are still used to this day. The Jews also set up the required steps for business transactions and many other economic codes, requirements, documentation and financing manners. Further, as for much of their existence after the destruction of the Second Temple by the Roman Empire in the year 73 and their eventual dispersion across the face of the Roman Empire and subsequently further dispersed by the Mongols and the Caliphate then by the European colonialists, the Jews though small in numbers, never acquired a population which exceeded one percent of the world’s population and managed to reside in every continent and in almost every nation throughout history. This gave the Jewish people two important items which both were important at some time during our history. The first was whenever the Jews were expelled from a nation as resulted from the Spanish Inquisition, the purging of the Jews by the British Isles, the pogroms of Russia and several exiles by different Islamic leaders over subsets of the Ottoman Empire at one time or another, there were always some Jews wherever they ended being able to rest their feet and resettle. It also gave the Jews different sets of knowledge and a broad understanding which resulted from these various cultures and their ability to take the different strengths while knowing which weaknesses and ill-advised paths to avoid allowing for Jews to succeed and flourish wherever they ended up residing. This success also helped the nation in which they resided as the Jews always seemed to find a way for increasing the wealth of their host nation while also enriching their own community which had the unfortunate result of jealousy and eventual expulsion or worse, violence against them during which their wealth was redistributed, to put it politely.

This effect of the Jews was also true of the early Christians and later for many Christians living outside the Western world. There were wars in the Western world fought between the different forms of Christianity but these eventually became less likely once the concept of separation between religion and the powers of the state became the norm. For the approximately first twelve to fifteen centuries when Judaism was the sole religion which believed in Hashem, an invisible and sole force which was the explanation for all creation and everything which preceded, currently was and ever would be and beyond even the end as Hashem was before the beginning, Hashem was the force behind all the triumphs and seeming invincibility of the Hebrews for as long as their lives kept the covenant and they followed the commandments laid out for them at Mount Sinai and taught them through Torah. Other nations feared that the Hebrews would war against them and this was one reason they were attacked but as the Hebrews would stray from their laws and the path of the straight and narrow, most often by engaging in idolatrous devotions and practices and the debauchery which often accompanied such observances which brought punishment of Hashem down upon them. Eventually, after the tribes split into the northern ten tribes known as Israel and the remaining two tribes and their priest class of Judea (which included the tribe of Benyamin), the Assyrians conquered the northern tribe of Israel around 740 to 733 BCE which became lost until recent times as they have been discovered residing in many numerous and disparate places on the globe and rejoined into the modern Jewish State of Israel. What spurred many to desire to destroy the Hebrews, and later the Jews as the remaining Hebrews became known, as the majority was from the tribe of Judah, was a desire to prove that their idols, reason, knowledge, codes or whatever they held sacred and based their civilization upon was superior to Hashem. Since there was no manner of attack which could be mounted against Hashem, the next best thing would be to destroy utterly his people, the Hebrews or Jews ending their covenant with Hashem and by destroying the people of Hashem, it would be proven that Hashem was false and belief in Hashem did not protect the Jews.

This concept of destroying the Jews to prove that Hashem was false may seem like an insane idea today yet the idea is as valid today as it ever has been. One of the promises made by Hitler was to free the German people from the conscience which was invented by the Jew and living a life guided by Christian morality as he would restore their individual rights where their sole loyalty was to the State and there was no higher entity than the State itself. Further, the Nazis promised a return to a more carefree society where hedonism would no longer be considered a sin and people would be freed from the Jewish presumably false concept of conscience and also from the Christian structured morality. The Nazis never relinquished their disdain for Christian morality but ceased emphasizing it as openly as this was not as well received as was the assailing everything Jewish including especially the Jews. Once again we witness the attempt to destroy Hashem but this time by the destruction of the Jews and the abandonment of Christian faith which would have solely been eradicated as well had the Nazis succeeded in their lust for world conquest. There was also over fifteen-hundred plus years where the Catholic, and subsequently the other Christian sects such as Protestantism, also attempted to eradicate the Jewish faith and people. They practiced forced conversions or pogroms, burning at the stake, drowning, witch trials, and a plethora of other manners of shaming, murdering or making an outcast of the Jew. The claim was often that one did not hate the Jews generally as they all had dealings with or a friend who was Jewish, it was the faith of the Jew which had to be eradicated and the Jew forced to accept Jesus that was all that was necessary for their lives to be spared. Then there was Communism which again, like Nazism, desired to murder Hashem so they forbid Judaism and Christianity, both the Orthodox Church and Catholicism along with the other Christian sects and any other religion as once again the state had to rule supreme and thus could not accept any person or deity to supercede the authority of the State. Once again we have an attempt to destroy Hashem that ended in failure.

The final chapter brings us to the challenge of the Twenty-First-Century where once again there are those plotting to destroy the faith in Hashem. This one may be the most insidious of all the attempts to end the rule of Hashem over the planet and beyond into the universe. We the believers in Hashem, the Jews and Christians, are the current targets and we are both in the same boat. What makes this latest attempt to destroy those whose faith is in Hashem is that the destroyers are selling a lie that they too believe in Hashem as their supreme being despite the obvious fallacy of their claims. Some of their fellow believers might honestly believe that they are worshipping the same deity as Jews and Christians but their true recipient of their prayers and supplications is not Hashem. Their deity is named Allah and is not simply another name for Hashem but rather an entirely different entity. This can be seen as Hashem is the Holy One of Abraham, Isaac and Yaakov while Allah is the deity derived from Abraham but not of Isaac or of Yaakov but rather Ishmael and Muhammad, an entirely different lineage. This is further proven by the desire of Muslims, the followers of Islam declaring their war towards the destruction of all Jews and Christians as well as their holy sites which will either be destroyed or repurposed solely for the use of Islam. The final strike is from the Torah, which Muslims believe the Quran replaced, not added to or even amended but replaced, and repeated in the Passover Haggadah where it says, “In each and every generation they rise up against us to destroy us. And the Holy One, blessed be He, rescues us from their hands.” While it is written in a similar text, Exodus 17:16 it states, “They have raised their fist against the LORD’s throne, so now the LORD will be at war with Amalek generation after generation.” Such it must be and if any group deserves to be the next incarnation of Amalek after the Nazis and have the all-fired hatred of that which is Holy in Torah, that title easily belongs to the most fanatical Islamists. Where we would not use a broad brush and color every member of Islam automatically guilty of such unbridled hatred against the Jews, and in this case also the Christians, and against the Bible, be it Old Testament or the New Testament or both together, and demand that all within has been bastardized over time, such is an assault on the word of Hashem and the direct assault on His peoples, the Jews. This is the fight which Israel must realize is the seminal struggle for the existence of the Jewish People and our renewed nation of Israel and if we love our land, brothers, sisters and the rest of the generations of our heritage and family, then we need to fight this like the struggle for survival that it is. Granted, not all Muslims are evil and desire us dead, but until they stand up and take their religion back and renew what they claim is an nonviolent religion and that the Quran teaches about Islam being the religion of peace, until then it must be assumed that Allah and Hashem are as different as their religious adherents actions and desires for the world make them out to be and that those not speaking out and retaking their religion must be taken as agreeing with the most ardent Islamist and treated as such. Should the presumed silent majority take that first step towards reconciliation, then the rest of the world can step up and give them all the assistance required, but until then their silence speaks all we need to know, and that is the sorriest thing of all.

What is written here could apply to any organization, it is just that the “Israel Teachers’ Union,” for the reason of continued acceptance, or so was the excuse given to those who objected, that accepted and signed the World Teachers’ Association (WTA) what can only be described as another BDS supporting document which was presented supporting the statement, “the continued Israeli occupation of the West Bank, the existence of illegal Israeli settlements there and their impact on the lives of Palestinians, including access to water along with the blockade of Gaza, has imposed severe restrictions on economic and social development in Palestine.” Unsurprisingly enough this has caused a split in the membership of the teachers’ union in Israel. What has developed is surprising in that the teachers who have been most outspoken against the signing of this odious document being threatened by the post-Zionist members of their union with legal actions to shut them out of the debate. Perhaps the time has come for a real Zionist Teachers’ Union which supports their nation in its life or death struggle over the acceptance of the pro-BDS document such as the one their leadership found so important and likely not all that odious a document, if not a document with which they were in total agreement, just so they would not have been barred from the WTA. One needs to wonder if these same representatives were to attend a META (Middle East Teachers Association) if such an organization were to exist, and a document was drafted demanded the “Right of Return” for over five-million so-called Arab Palestinian refugees’ would this document also be acceptable to remain as accepted by Israel’s enemies? One might be led to believe they would as such would not be in contradiction to their personal beliefs as they have no feelings or belief in Israel as the home nation of the Jewish People but rather as the democratic multicultural conglomeration of people bordering the Mediterranean Sea with no particular special character.

There can be no middle ground between teachers who are Zionist and believe in Israel as a separate and special nation unique among the nations as the reestablishment of the ancient state of the Jewish People after near two-millennia and the establishment of the G0d given opportunity for the Jewish people to once again be the People of the Book and a light unto the nations established to give hope to those in the world who desire a better world that was established by Hashem, formed by Hashem, styled by Hashem and commanded by Hashem to carry His message to the rest of the people on the planet He created, formed and established to celebrate the glory, magnanimity, supremacy and transcendence of Hashem. Even if one only desires that Israel be the nation for the Jewish People and the only place on all of Earth that the Jewish People would be able to flee should the world once again become overcome with Jew hatred ready to end the existence of the Jews once again, the aim of powers and empires almost too numerous to list over the last thirty-five-hundred years of history to genocidally murder the Jewish People starting with the Ancient Egyptians and further attempted by the following empires and forces with such intents but not limited to: the Amalekites, Chaldean Empire, Philistine Empire (not in any way related to ‘Palestinians’ as the Philistine people were of Greek extraction and were absorbed into other peoples and ceased existence over two-thousand years ago), Babylonian Empire, Assyrian Empire, Persian Empire (Haman and his sons against Mordechai and Queen Esther and the Megillah of Esther and the celebration of Purim), Greek Empire, Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire, Crusaders, Spanish Empire, Ottoman Turkish Empire, British Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire, German Empire (part of the cleansing of German tribal lands of the accursed Catholics and Jews based on writings of Martin Luther), French Empire (during the purification of France under the troops controlled by the Catholic Church and the French Cardinal and the one pursuit the Royalty joined with the Catholics despite their struggles for outright control of France), Russia Empire Under the Czars (the driving force behind the Czar’s orders for a book be written which could be utilized to prove Jewish conspiracies to control governments and as being a danger to the rule of the Czars which became “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion which is used in numerous Arab and Muslim countries to explain their suspicions and hatreds of the Jews even today), Nazi Empire, Soviet Empire (under Stalin who claimed the Jews were the ultimate Capitalists and thus enemies of the State and an unacceptable threat despite many Jews, including Leon Trotsky, being instrumental supporters of the revolution), and who next, the Arab forces such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad, ISIS and other Arab Islamist supremacists or potentially Iran where chants of “Death to Israel” are even more common than those of “Death to America” both of which are regular staples of the Friday after prayer services but before nightfall.

The fact that an Israeli Teachers’ union representatives value sitting amongst those who would have them murdered if given the opportunity to do so without having any direct involvement more than they value the Zionist principles that values the survival of the Jewish People over being politically correct or fitting in and everything else involved with going along in order to get along is enough to make one feel ill and to demand that those teachers who understand and value the continued love of and dedicated to the preservation of Israel as the Jewish State and sole refuge for all the Jewish People reestablished as the historic right of the original indigenous peoples in our lands to depart the company of traitors and start a second teachers’ union with a Zionist agenda and that fully supports both Israel and the Jewish People. The fact that members of the Israeli Teachers’ union would threaten and even consider bringing legal suits against those teachers who would even broach the subject and suggest that signing such an odious document in the first place and then defend it with such threats is further proof that there can be no compromise nor is there any room for dissent from the views of the self-appointed moralists who would condemn their fellow countrymen in such a despicable manner. There is little need to attempt to alter the convictions of these post-Zionist teachers who apparently have co-opted the existing teachers’ union and as is the case in all too many Israeli institutions from the Supreme Court to leadership of the vast majority of political parties to the Israeli Teachers’ union, amongst all too many unions which populate Histadrut and taking similar stands due to their history of extremist leftist and communist control which are almost invulnerable to the forces of change.

Nowhere is this more evident than in the community organizations and NGOs such as B’Tselem, New Israel Fund, Breaking the Silence, Gisha, Combatants for Peace, Adalah, Coalition of Women for Peace, Association for Civil Rights in Israel, Alternative Information Center, Bimkom, Ir Amim, Machsom Watch, Public Committee Against Torture in Israel, Physicians for Human Rights- Israel, Women Against Violence and other similarly named NGOs which like the Israel Teachers’ Union are made up of Israelis and usually largely Jewish Israelis who are sold on the same old, tired, tried but failed and failed miserably mantra of land for peace. This is despite the fact that there is not a single evidentiary backing for the concept of Israelis, and especially Jewish Israelis, ever trading a piece of land and receiving even prolonged calm, let alone peace for the efforts. As has been documented repeatedly, every single time there has been the surrendering of lands, not only did that sacrifice not bring peace but has been universally followed by additional violence and often a prolonged and steadily increasing theater of horrific violence. Inevitably it has become known that the violence had been planned ahead of such exchanges specifically to be used as proof that each sacrifice was insufficient to appease the unappeasable appetite for dispossessing Jews of their lands in this their dear, ancient and, for many, holy lands. The first attempt at such a series of events was during the early 1920s when the British struck a deal between the Zionist Congress and the Arab leadership within the area of the British Mandate lands as well as the Arab League and the Mufti of Southern Syria. This deal entailed that in exchange for all the British Mandate Lands east of the Jordan River, constituting approximately 78% of that said Mandate lands, being surrendered of claim for inclusion of the establishment by the Jewish nation and being surrendered for the establishment of an Arab State for the Arabs residing in the areas of Southern Syria, thus the remaining 22% of the lands which constitute the lands west of the Jordan River will be made inviolate and reserved for the Jewish People and their State. This was what was agreed upon and signed by the parties including the British as the Mandated Power to implement the promise of a Jewish State making everything legal and a settled matter well almost settled. This deal was followed by a slowly increasing intensity of violence against the Jews living in areas west for the Jordan River which peaked with rioting and mass assaults on the Jews in 1929 and this calm followed by ramping violence repeated itself peaking again in 1933, in 1936 and again in 1939 and then settled down during the era of World Wat II largely due to the presence of British troops in numbers plus the existence of a Jewish Brigade made up of Jews who volunteered to fight with the British in the Middle East and mostly in northern Africa which was called the Palestine Brigade. The reason was at the time of World War II and before as well as until the name of Palestinian had been co-opted by Yasser Arafat in order to claim the periods when the Jews were always referred to as the Palestinians and those who took the name under Arafat had been called the, wait for it, the Arabs.

After World War II the lead-up to the founding of the State of Israel in May of 1948 came and surprisingly enough, the next offer to share the exact lands which the British and the world had claimed was inviolate and reserved solely for the Jewish State. Such is the worth of promises made unto the Jews. Under the United Nations Charter in Article 80 the world body unanimously supported honoring the Mandate system and all agreements made within that framework. This obviously included the agreement made by the by Britain, the power of the Mandate in question, with the World Zionist Congress that the lands west of the Jordan had been set aside solely and inviolate for the Jewish State in exchange for the surrender of the lands east of the Jordan River, which constituted over three-fourths of the Mandated lands. Despite this agreement being in place and obliged to be honored by the United Nations, the General Assembly passed on November 29, 1947, Resolution 181 which suggested the lands west of the Jordan River, the exact lands the British had guaranteed would be inviolate and the United Nations has adopted as its sole policy when ratifying Article 80 of the United Nations Charter, be divided evenly into an Arab and a Jewish States respectively. This generous offer went so far as to divide Israel as in the map below where the orange area of the map would have constituted Israel while the yellow area of the map would have constituted the proposed Arab state. This meant that approximately half of what would have become Israel would have been constituted of the Negev Desert while the yellow areas included largely good farm lands and would have had the short-lived international city of Jerusalem surrounded which would likely have meant that all of Jerusalem as it was at that time would have defaulted to Arab control and being placed beyond the reach of any Jew. The violence ramped up considerably with the rioting and physical attacks on Jews became daily occurrences until May15, 1948, when Israel came officially into being and had war declared on her by at least a half dozen nations who had troops present to force the Jews into the sea or worse.

1947 United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181 Partition Plan accepted by the Jewish Zionist Congress, precursor to an Israeli government, but refused by Arab League thus making the entirety of the Resolution 181 voided and relegated to the trash bin of history.

The threats by Egyptian President Nasser in May and early June and the massing of troops by Egypt and Syria, joined as the United Arab Republic for the duration of this war as an act of unity, on the northern and southern borders of Israel which resulted in the Six Day War was a massive increase culmination since the founding of Israel nineteen years earlier. This threatened attack was the culmination of the continued slow ramping up of violence since the armistice which resulted in an end, though without an actual peace agreement but merely a cessation of hostilities at that time, I believe called a Hudna by Muslims, and resulted in the ultimate violence, as mentioned, the Six Day War. The ceasefire from that conflict remained in place until Yom Kippur morning on October 6, 1973, which could have been claimed to have resulted after Israel had claimed one too many times her willingness to return the Sinai Peninsula in exchange for a real and lasting peace. When we reach the eventual peace with Egypt one might desire to call that the return of the Sinai as not having any lands and received peace, which as far as Egypt is concerned but one need remember that as a part of the peace with Egypt they surrendered any and all claims to the Gaza Strip which has proven to be a continual source of violence and several armed conflicts. Further, the entirety of the peace talks has been about Israel surrendering lands for peace, yet receiving nothing but violence, attacks, terrorism and death. As we have been pointing out, whenever the Jews or Israel as a nation has offered to make peace they have been greeted with more and more violence. When Israel retreated from Southern Lebanon due to ever increasing terrorism it was not even a full year before things had escalated to the point where the withdrawal had become recognized as a complete and utter failure gifting half of Lebanon to Islamist extremists of Hezballah who have driven the violence to a fevered pitch twice resulting in two wars and the ramping of the threats and rhetoric has already started once again, building up to what is difficult to envision with the entirety of Syria in flames and Hezballah having suffered serious losses may be seeking another conflict with Israel to regain some of their sorely lacking respect from the Lebanese or perhaps instill some fear into them. Meanwhile, when Israel made its peace with Jordan, Israel offered to return to Jordan the lands the Jordanians had been illegally possessing from 1948 through the start of the Six Day War in 1967, a full nineteen years. There has been almost nothing but violence and terrorist attacks ever since. When in 1999 with the aid of United States President Clinton Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered Yasser Arafat the entirety of what Arafat had told President Clinton he would require in order to make a lasting peace with Israel. When after a late night of arm-twisting Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak made his offer which was met by Arafat storming from the conference and jetting back to Ramallah and almost immediately starting the second intifada, an unprecedented assault with homicide bombers blowing themselves up in pizza parlors, restaurants, hotels, bus depots, malls, discotheques and wherever a crowd of innocent Israelis could be found. This eventually led to Israel constructing the separation barrier which succeeded in preventing much of the violence.

This is the same separation barrier which the world has only understood to be the tall cement walls through urban areas which were necessitated to prevent the prevalent sniper fire which was slaughtering innocent civilians. For over three-fourths of the length of the separation barrier it consists of a tall chain-link fence. The perception of the barrier as a wall is simply another case of successful casting of the Israelis as being harsh oppressors which has become the adopted trope from the leftist socialist media, not at all surprising when one realizes the realities that the two greatest murderers of Jews have been the National Socialists and the International Socialists, or the Nazis and Communists. As the media in Europe and lagging almost a decade behind but making up the ground on the outside is the United States have both turned sharply leftist their reporting has simply become a form to bludgeon Israel and depict her government as a tyranny despoiling the virgin lands and victimizing the most innocent of babes in the pristine woodlands, never mind these babes carry axes to slaughter Israelis at every opportunity and then cry that the Israelis are invading and despoiling their neighborhoods when law enforcement and investigatory agencies seek to find and arrest the perpetrators of often the most heinous of crimes. Such was the uproar after two cousins murdered the Fogels, the mother, father and two brothers, Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and their tiny little sister and newest member to the family, three-month-old Hadas as they slept one Shabbat Night. Or the slaughter of four rabbis in morning prayers in a synagogue in an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood in West Jerusalem of Har Nof murdered by cousins, Odai Abed Abu Jamal, 22, and Ghassan Muhammad Abu Jamal, 32, who claimed they were avenging what they saw as a threat to the al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in East Jerusalem a good four or five miles from where these monsters slaughtered and then butchered with 9mm handguns, knives and axes included in prayer at the time of their slaughters almost as if making a pagan sacrifice of the four holy men still wearing their Prayer Shawls and Phylacteries with Prayer Books still in hand, not that such would have been necessary as each probably knew the prayer better than most but also know that it is an even more special mitzvah to read each day’s prayers as if you are seeing the words for the first time and feel their wonderment and immerse oneself in the wonder, sincerity, passion and adoration that comes only on the first time reading such words of power and divine beauty, Rabbi Moshe Twersky, Rabbi Cary Levine, Rabbi Avraham Goldberg and Rabbi Aryeh Kopinsky and then added the first police officer, a traffic policeman who was unarmed, Zidan Saif, a noble and brave Druze who was simply attempting to pull others out of harm’s way when these savages murdered once more as if their blood lust had yet to be satisfied.

In memory of these and all the other victims of the return to our ancient lands and to those for whom these lands will be their final refuge from the spreading hatreds, our teachers need leave the fold of their union and build one of their own fashioned by their hands with the eternal guidance from Hashem who will honor such as it honors his people and his lands. There are those amongst us who realize and know that despite the fragile nature of the existence of Israel, an existence so frail that without the aiding hands of Hashem it could not be, that this existence is still the safest of all places upon this earth for a Jew at these times. Make a teachers’ union that chooses Hashem, which chooses Israel, which recognized the special task we Jews have entered in our covenant with Hashem. Make a union that teachers can safely say as our forefathers said when receiving the Law at Mount Sinai, “We will obey and we will hear.” They can risk such faith as the teachers’ union you will form will be of such dedication to Hashem, to our land of Israel and to imparting that love in every lesson you teach. Make a new teachers’ union as the established union no longer serves as the ideal example that you wish to follow and honor. Make a union that teachers will proudly exclaim that they chose honor over acceptance. Form a union for real teachers who take moral stands and who form in their students and morale of the spirit which endows them with a moral and fulfilling education. Make a union to remember those we have lost, learn from all who remain and take the lessons from history to arm themselves for tomorrow. And lastly form a teachers’ union for your own self-worth and that will fill you with pride and thus make of you better teachers.
