Judge Neil Gorsuch Deserves Honest Validation

 

The first and foremost thing the public and the world need to know about Judge Neil Gorsuch, back in 2006 he was confirmed by the Senate without recorded opposition. Not a single Senator found reason to raise even a single doubt about his decency and qualifications to serve as a Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in Denver, Colorado. Imagine this, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi had nary a complaint about confirming Judge Gorsuch and now claims he is, “very hostile appointment” and “well outside the mainstream of American legal thought.” At a CNN town hall gathering Minority Leader Pelosi further criticized Judge Gorsuch stating, “If you breathe air, drink water, eat food, take medicine or in any other way, interact with the courts, this is a very bad decision.” How in eleven years did Judge Neil Gorsuch somehow went from perfectly adequate and even unobjectionable when appointed by President George W. Bush, not exactly somebody on fantastic relations with Minority Leader Pelosi and often criticized quite severely by her, to be a Judge for the Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and now is the spawn of all evils. What a transformation from unobjectionable to threat to the continuation of humanity “If you breathe air, drink water, eat food, take medicine or in any other way, interact with the courts…” What a transformation, or was the Democrats who have changed in the ensuing eleven years?

We are wondering when they will get to commenting he enjoys murdering innocent fish as he enjoys fly fishing. Then there is his making long tracks in virgin snow when he gets a chance because he skis. He refused to sleep nights in Howard Johnsons Inns, well, because he worked as the overnight desk clerk. We could not think of a related evil but are awaiting the Democrat blame gamers to find fault with the fact he raises horses and goats and chickens on his Colorado farm. The Democrats have claimed they will stop at nothing to prevent Judge Gorsuch from taking the ninth seat on the Supreme Court. Some claim that until there is a President who received a majority of the popular vote the Senate should not permit any new Supreme Court appointees to be placed on the bench. The Democrats have already warned of a war in the media should the Republicans do as Harry Reid did to get judges approved over any Republican filibuster and use the same filibuster busting majority vote being sufficient for cloture in Presidential appointments. Apparently what is good for the Democrat Goose is not to be allowed for the Republican gander. It is another case of do as we say, not as we do for the Democrats and the mainstream media may also jump in on the act for attempting to deny the Republicans any comfort copying the Democrat play manual.

 

The fight over Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education has been a fight done well in service of the Teacher Unions with a full time assist of the media. Betsy DeVos’ main crime was being educated in private schools and realizing that the private schools outperform the public institutionalized education system. You see, Betsy DeVos has been an advocate for private schools, parochial schools, charter schools such as the Success Academy Schools and the chain of the KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) Schools for most of her professional life. Should the Department of Education begin to make parental choice more readily available for inner city and other parents through voucher systems or money follows the student programs, then the public schools might lose students to higher performing schools and perhaps even bring the entire public school systems to their knees making them shape up or be replaced by these more successful schools.

Imagine if every student carried with them a dollar outlay equal to three quarters of what the public schools in their area spend per student. How long before schools with far better results start cropping up and accepting students for this lesser amount. The local government saves money and parents get to choose where and with what emphasis their children are educated. Schools will start offering specialized courses where students can be taught a trade as well as receiving a decent basic education. The department of education could become a clearing house for information rather than an actual education provider. Schools will still need to produce quality student outcomes as the parents will not place their children in under performing schools thus eliminating the schools which do not produce well educated students. This could spell the end of the public school systems as we know them or perhaps these schools will actually find ways of weeding out poor performing teachers and a more conducive manner of teaching their students. Perhaps the education system could benefit from an overhaul where those schools which produce the best students receive the most students and succeed while poorly performing schools lose students and quickly falter and are replaced. Apparently Betsy DeVos’s error of her ways is believing that schools should produce quality educations over teacher job guarantees, what a novel concept.

If this becomes the standard for all government products perhaps it would be an improvement worth giving its shot. Would we be happy should the military not produce the best qualified fighting force and instead simply offer guaranteed careers for officers no matter their ability to perform their duties? We would never accept incompetence from the military any more than we would frequent a restaurant which delivered poorly prepared meals. Restaurants are not in business to guarantee the chef a job once they have worked there for two years even if they do not learn new offerings as times change. It becomes keep up or shut up and hit the road. Hospitals would not keep a surgeon who refuses to learn new techniques and allow him to use older procedures just out of loyalty, they demand that physicians learn and keep up with the times or retire. Government should operate under similar means and perhaps that could be something that Donald Trump could introduce and the United States be all the better for such. We will see and let us all hope that such is in store. Improving government services should be job one of the President and all of the many different Congresscritters. Unfortunately, this has not been the standard procedure, so perhaps bringing in Steve Bannon to shake things up a little is an idea whose time has factually been a long time coming.

Israeli Possible Futures and American Elections

 

There have been many numbers of articles predicting the fate of Israel should one party or the other take the White House next January. Where this early on it is a bit futile to be second guessing the American people, there are some concrete facts we can observe more generally and some rather specific. The most obvious fact is that Israel will likely fair better with virtually any Republican in the White House than either of the Democrat frontrunners. This has been the trend which has steadily become absolute starting with President George H. W. Bush who was far less Israel friendly than President William Jefferson Clinton. The Republican side is the most undecided; so we will begin with them, though there are some tantalizing consequences for discussion on the Democrat side.

 

The knowledge that Israel would be better served by any Republican than with either Democrat frontrunner is a no-brainer; there are still sufficient untested Republicans which leave things unsettled there as well. The top three caucus winners in Iowa are a case in point. Ted Cruz is as pro-Israel as anyone could ask for and would likely increase whatever aid Israel claimed to have or needs identified by United States Military assessments. Mr. Cruz is also the one most likely to ignore the current State Department being fully aware that the United States Department of State is closer to being an enemy foreign agent than an American foreign policy agency. They are so far into the pocket of whatever Islamic forces appear dominant at any given time ignoring the small fact that the United States can alter that picture with the slightest influence added by clandestine units in their military. Truth be known, even with Russian influence, the United States can alter any reality on the ground should it so choose. The drawback would be risking a general confrontation with the Russians which would require active duty forces in numbers sufficient to require Congressional approval and thus general media coverage. Much of the American as well as European and the World media will bend left as the media is generally more an agent of leftist ideological proponents and similarly predisposed on reporting on the Middle East which had been made evident by their misreporting or bias and slanted reporting on the Arab Israeli conflict which is decidedly anti-Israel.

 

 

 

 

 

Next down the caucus line is Donald Trump followed by Marco Rubio. Mr. Trump is completely untested in any and all policy positions and this is even more pronounced on foreign policy. Mr. Rubio is only slightly less of a mystery. The advantage Rubio has is he will likely follow the mainline Republican positions which had become more pro-Israel. Mr. Trump has talked a good game but his true heart is unknown and he is more likely to allow the State Department and the Pentagon along with whatever foreign advisors already exist within the government initially for his positions andthis would produce a period of time where he could damage Israeli relations even further. The question is how and if that would change when he received different and pressing information from the Israelis themselves and other contacts even to include business influence from people he has dealt with and gained a degree of trust. Rubio would also be somewhat untested and known to follow the advice he receives which then would rest heavily on his choice for Secretary of State and the weight he would put on Military and other foreign policy influences against the State Department. The one thing we know is Rubio is the candidate most likely to allow others from the Republican hierarchy to set his foreign policy. The decision, if one is honest, is still out on these two candidates who were definitive winners in Iowa.

 

Of the remaining herd of contenders who at this point are not even sufficient to be second tier and are closer to third tier with the one exception, the sole other Republican candidate to clear 2%, Ben Carson. Dr. Carson would necessarily need to rely heavily on experts and thus his positions would depend completely on who he appoints with the one obvious difference, the Pentagon and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Our feelings are Dr. Carson would be very similar to President George W. Bush than any other predecessor. Hopefully Dr. Carson could look at a map of the areas surrounding Israel and the Middle East and realize that Egypt is currently stable, Jordan is stable with a few big ‘if’s’ sitting on her northern and eastern borders and might need to rely heavily on Israeli intelligence and potentially military support should the Islamic State turn their eyes westward seeking a border with Israel which Jordan would provide. We hear the people with their maps out pointing to the fact that such a move would still leave the West Bank and Jordan River as impasses to an Islamic State assault on Israel. We feel it would be a near certainty that not only Israel would aid Jordan but so would Saudi Arabia and the other member nations to the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council). Currently the three main challenges which would face anyone stepping into office would be, in descending order, from the greatest threat down three steps are, Iran, Islamic State and the Iranian controlled terror networks of Hezballah, Islamic Jihad, to a lesser extent Hamas, and soon to be acquired Palestinian Authority which is likely to see a leadership change within two to three years as Abbas and family will take off for safer climes, probably somewhere in the United States under the witness protection agency’s assistance.

 

 

The remainders of the Republican herd who we can take the measure of are Jeb Bush and Chris Christie who both talk a good pro-Israel game but remain untested as being governors they had little to deal with outside their States and were able to leave the big foreign policy decisions to Washington D.C. Both would likely play Republican ballgame until they were able to put their own people in place. This would mean heavy reliance on the State Department and its Arabist and Islamist leaning viewpoint and having a disparaging and deleterious effect on Israeli ability to trust any recommendations initially from the White House. The long term relations would be heavily dependent on the people placed in positions such as Secretary of State, State Department Middle East experts and department leaders, Ambassador to Israel, Ambassador to the United Nations, Security Advisor and on.

 

The Democrat side of the equation has one twist and is otherwise underwhelming. Bernie ‘Feel the Bern’ Sanders has a voting record only the Muslim Brotherhood would applaud. He has proven to have adopted the erroneous leftist view that Israel is guilty of the two greatest sins, colonialization and capitalism. On the latter, Israel can only plead guilty and proud of it. On the foremost charge Israel is provably not guilty. First piece of evidence is the Holy Bible and in particular, Torah. The Torah other than the five books which chronical the early life from Abraham forward of the Jewish people but is the deed of ownership of all the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea and south of the Litany River, though the current border with Hezballah, oops, sorry, Lebanon will suffice. Don’t you just hate when that happens. Then there are the treaties, Mandates and conferences which resulted in the League of Nations declaration of intent and right of the Jews to their own state located where the Biblical accounts define their Holy Promised Lands. Bernie may have been born into a Jewish family but that little fact never softened his heart nor gave him an appreciation of the necessity for the Jewish People to have a place of refuge where they may defend themselves if again the world decides it is best to either actively slaughter the Jews or simply not lift a finger to save those few where offers are provided for their potential to save such as the SS St. Louis. We can place Senator Sanders on the State Department side and likely to continue the Obama aggressive policies concerning Israel and even supporting an Iranian centric Middle East and North Africa. Bernie Sanders has not proven to be a friend of Israel.

 

Hillary Clinton is an easier story. She really does not think all that highly of Jews. This was most evident when after Bill lost an election she angrily screamed at the campaign manager calling him some kind of derogatory form of Jew with questionable parenting engaged in a lewd act and the campaign manager was not even a Jew so the word Jew in this racy and lewd epithet could only have been included as a further form of insult. This episode has been known in political circles and in Israel for quite some time, since early in Bill Clinton’s Presidency and is chronicled here. Additionally there is e-mailgate, really, e-mailgate? Haven’t we beat the gate means scandal after Watergate back during President Nixon’s administration where Hillary Clinton did a part of the research on this case which might mitigate this and no that did not mean miti-gate conspiracy though somebody from some conspiracy website will see gate and jump ugly to conclusions. Hillary has to win the Democrat nomination and the election or she is toast and the FBI is the toaster. Any normal individual, we know that normal can never be used when the Clintons are involved, would have been detained, tried, convicted, appealed, lost and be serving time in a Federal Penitentiary. Should she lose anything leading to the White House she will be indicted immediately. As far as Hillary and Israel, could we simply state oil and water for the comparison. No, need more? Sure, Hillary is the water and Israel is the highly flammable oil floating above and Hillary lights a match above the liquid line causing all the oil to disappear in a burst of flames and smoke and the water barely gets any warmer. Hillary fully supported every Obama policy regarding Israel and with gusto. Yes, she pandered to the Jews in New York when she ran for the Senate from New York. She wanted to get elected and also have additional campaign funds. Any pro-Israel comments can be placed as purely political and playing a particular audience though probably not that necessary as most of the Jews supporting Hillary do not support Israel either. Having met too many such leftist Jews, by birth only, who line up lockstep in the parade of the Democrat mainstream which has been as hijacked. This claim can be validated by inspecting after terrorists strike and they attempt to mitigate any terror act claiming the person was hijacked and does not represent the Islam they are familiar with. Hillary will only be less of a detriment to Israel because she will pay little if any attention to foreign policy decisions leaving the majority to aids and reliance on the State Department, need more be said. The big question is rapidly becoming who will be placed replacing Hillary should she become toxic either by actual arraignment or simply too much stacked against her and her base, as fickle as it may be, simply melts away and she becomes an unviable candidate. Joe Biden has ruled out a run and in keeping with the first woman President motif, we would suggest they would have Hillary give her delegates to Elizabeth Warren who would sweep Bernie Sanders aside in a tidal change potentially notifiable from the ISS, from the International Space Station. The tide would sweep across the Democrat primary voters and her coronation would take place at the Democrat National Convention. Her likelihood of taking the Presidency would be a complete lock should she decide to choose Bernie Sanders as her running-mate as that addition to her ticket would cement the youth vote, a vote which proved so vital to President Obama. Lastly, Elizabeth warren polls excellently with Democrats and the population as a whole. We expect this last scenario to play out as it appears that the FBI has built their case and are waiting for her to falter to pull the pin on the indictment grenade which would finish her candidacy, something the Democrat main controlling interests just might prefer as they watch her national polling numbers tank.

 

 

 

 

There remains one critical position which almost nobody from either side is likely willing to take except one. The position is that there is not and never has been an honest partner for peace from the Palestinian Authority and most definitely not from Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Fatah, the PLO or any other Arab influence with the possible exception of Egyptian President Sisi whose efforts to force a reformation for Islam with the transformative impact greater than that of the Protestant Reformation in Europe and definitely more dangerous and threatening to President Sisi’s continued health. One can only hope for his success and pray for his continued health. As far as Israeli policy, any administrations pushing any deal other than the full annexation of the territory of Judea and Samaria with a weeding out of the most dangerous of the terror operatives and their leadership. Additionally, Israel could offer any Arab desiring to leave and never return, meaning never ever return, in exchange for a generous dispensation including purchase of their properties and holdings and a generous award of separation which would likely to exceed their expected lifetime earnings with the understanding that should they or any member of their family return they would be executed on sight. Any pushing of the deader than a doornail policy of two states living side by side in peace, security and prosperity is not realistic especially looking around the Middle East and North Africa and one sees a sea of turmoil and conflict with little comfort in sight for most of these conflicts and with all eyeing attacking Israel as a potentially solid option. How erroneous and self-destructive such a policy decision would prove, the fact it bears mention is a testament to the insanity which has soaked the region.

What Israel Should Have Learned in the Twenty First Century?

 

What has made the Twenty-First Century interesting is that there have been eight years under the Republicans and eight years under a Democrat; so there can be a fair and even comparison between the two parties when they hold the White House. What is frightening is that despite the talking lines appear quite different; the actual policy execution is not all that different. Both party’s Presidents, Georgy W. Bush and Barack Hussein Obama, had a target of Israel returning to the 1949 Armistice Lines and splitting Jerusalem leaving the Temple Mount in Arab hands or under international agents who will flee surrendering the entirety of the Temple Mount to Arab hands and closed to Jews just as it was for the horrifically disappointing nineteen to twenty years under Jordanian control when Israelis and Jews in general were very disappointed to not be able to visit the historic areas starting with the Temple Mount plus literally thousands of historic sites from Jericho, Hevron, Bethlehem, Shechem, and innumerous other locations where our history laid out in numerous manuscripts both Jewish as well as numerous other historic manuscripts of almost every major empire which tread the lands of the crux meeting place for three continents, Asia, Africa and Europe. The Jews had histories with the Egyptians, the Hittites, the Babylonians, the Canaanites, the Assyrians, the Persians, The Greeks, The Romans, the Byzantines, the Crusaders, the Spanish, the Caliphate, the Golden Age of Islam, the Umayyad Caliphate, the Abbasid Caliphate, the Ayyubid Dynasty, and eventually the British for a total of twenty-nine years. When the British left the land of Israel, which declared its independents on the evening of May 14, 1948, though the world claims Israel became a nation immediately after midnight of May 15, 1948, with her border as depicted below, the state was born.

The Arab Armies of Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, the Free Palestinian Arab Army, countless other Arab formations which existed inside Arab villages which attacked Israeli forces from behind which resulted in the entire population of that village being expelled in order to protect the Israeli Defense Forces from rear attacks from the citizens from the village which launched the initial assault. Such reactions were the reason that Israel was accused of forcing some Arab villages to be sent beyond the soldiers in order to leave a safe front without rear forces attacking during any battles. These were the Arabs who Israel evicted from within their lines solely for tactical reasons. The Arabs who either fought with the Israeli Jews or remained as noncombatants were left and could choose whether they remained in Israel and become Israeli citizens and remained as Israeli citizens and today enjoy full citizenship. Unfortunately, Israel did not win the war as is taught in history. Israel survived the war of Jewish genocide but lost lands to Jordan, parts of Judea and Samaria; to Syria, the Golan Heights; and Egypt the Gaza Strip. This was named the Israeli War of Independence which was done by the Israelis because the odds were such that they had little if any chance of winning according to every tactician. Israel had almost no armor or aircraft, no navy and unbelievably few trained soldiers and only a few experienced officers who fought in the British Palestinian Brigades which were almost one-hundred-percent Jewish as the Jews were called Palestinian by the British and most other Europeans and the Arabs were simply called Syrians. This became evident when the Mandate system was enacted with the British given control of what the Arabs referred to as southern Syria while the French were assigned the area including Syria and Lebanon. When the two areas of Syria were divided into two different zones, the Arabs of southern Syria referred to this as the Naqba. The current meaning of Naqba being the founding of Israel is a misnomer as the real Naqba the Arabs related to was the dividing of Syria into two separate Mandates and as the Arabs in the British Mandate thought they would not be permitted to cross into Syria, especially Damascus, which was entirely false but we all know how rumors get a life of their own once they are born. The resultant loss of territory loss left Israel tactically weakened as they no longer had the Jordan River and the Jordan River Valley as their eastern border and only held half of Jerusalem and lost the high ground of the Golan Heights. The new map which was tendered as an armistice line and not a final border, something which has never been settled completely for the entire existence of Israel, left Israel defensively vulnerable as is obvious from the map below.

What is absolutely ridiculous is the drive by both George W Bush and Barak Hussein Obama were equal in their demands that Israel surrender the remainder of the West Bank as the surrendering of the Gaza Strip worked out so wonderfully. The retreat from the Litany River in Lebanon back to the so-called Blue Line allowed Hezballah to occupy the territories vacated and able to build a sizeable threat with well over a quarter of a million missiles poised and targeting Israel. So now both the mainstream Democrats and mainstream Republicans both agree that this make-believe people who are, accurately put, Arabs from southern Syria and not in any manner or way Palestinians as there has never in all of history been a people called Palestinians. They stole the concept of a Naqba redefining it to fit their particular situation. There have been other things that are the result of Mahmoud Abbas’s paranoia about losing any election despite having his own inner circle counting the ballots that should he appear to be reelected the Arabs would likely rise up and demand clean elections. Currently nobody has attempted to challenge Abbas about his remaining in office for over a decade since elections were supposedly to have been held around 2008 at the least. But Abbas continues to remain in office and rule unchallenged as he has decided he is going to be President for life. He has always made sure his picture is taken at attending every event no matter how inappropriate. One such event was the solidarity for the victims in the shootings of Charlie Hebdo and the Hyper Cacher kosher market where he shoved his way to assure that he was in the front when pictures were taken. His smile when the picture was taken shows how he had no compunction or true sympathy as all Mahmoud Abbas desired was to get his smirking face in a picture of heads of real nations all showing great deference for those who laid with their lives, both the Charlie Hebdo and the Hyper Cacher kosher market. Mahmoud Abbas simply plays a conglomerate consisting of equal parts jackal, jester, prankster Loki, hyena, Typhoid Mary, Freddy Krueger, and Bride of Frankenstein while always remaining the nemesis to all that is holy. He is the bad dream from which one awakes in a panic that cannot be exorcised. The one trait Mahmoud Abbas retains no matter what is passing by with time; he refuses to accept and deal which falls short of the elimination of Israel replaced by Palestine and the Jews of Israel all murdered. That has worked in Israel’s favor and been the real bane to all who seek to end the conflict by having two states living side by side in peace and security. Abbas cannot count to two, he deals solely in absolutes where he sees the eventuality of the world forcing all the Jews to reside elsewhere, preferably somewhere other than Earth, and then he would claim that the Palestinians were the indigenous civilization on that planet and demand that all its continents and oceans be given immediately to his Palestinian Arabs as they are too cramped on the state they have on Earth. Simply stated, he wants everything the Jews have built and even that will not do. There are some lessons from the surrender of Gaza which need be remembered before considering what would please Abbas.

 

Lesson one: both Republican and Democrat Presidents take the standings advised by the Arabist and anti-Semitic State Department which blames Israel for all the troubles everywhere but particularly in the Arab/Israeli Conflict.

Lesson two: Abbas does not desire peace because the world has continued to lavish him with monies making him excessively wealthy.

Lesson three: Mahmoud Abbas is filled with hatred beyond what anyone from the Western World can even begin to understand.

Lesson four: Abbas has been playing the world just as Arafat had before him basking in the attention taking the podium to mostly expound broad lies which he knows the Western Leaders, especially those in Europe will swallow whole as truisms which define the conflict.

Lesson five: The world does not really care about the Jews or especially Israel and the fact that they have not forced the Jews to relocate to Madagascar or Antarctica.

Lesson six: The left and left center but not necessarily the far left or Arab Parties are in agreement with the Right Center and Religious Zionists that no more land should be surrendered to Abbas and the Arabs.

Lesson seven: When Israel surrendered Gaza whole leaving for the Arabs a multi-billion dollar a year industry worth of greenhouses which were within two days completely scavenged for parts to make rockets and other destruction done simply because the greenhouses did not represent an industry or opportunity, they represented the Jews and as such needed to be demolished.

Lesson eight: The Arab youth over the last twenty-two years have been raised on a steady diet in schools, at camps, soccer leagues, media and almost every place they turn with Jew hatred such that on key phrases they will riot, attack with knives or whatever they can lay their hands upon as is happening right now with the knifings and this indoctrination has spread into the Israeli Arab youth.

 

 

These are the truths which need be introduced to the equations being used to calculate what step might prove successful in ending the conflict. The reality is that the only workable solution is for one side to win out and the other to be vanquished. Either the land will be all Israel or all Arab and the Jews granted other location to turn into a green and wondrous place while the land which was Israel returning to a forsaken land as it will not produce for the Arabs, never has in the past and never will in the future. Look over the entirety of empires including the Greeks and Romans, the Caliphates and Ottoman Empires and none could make the land grow and produce without the Jews. Hashem made a land where only his children, as in the Jews, would be permitted to reap the bountiful promises of the land. So, which will it be, a productive Jewish state or another agricultural and technical wilderness bereft of even the simplest worthwhile ventures be they farms, technology, medicine, physics etc…
