The Middle East has never seen the conflux of terminal situations as it is being currently forced to witness. Needless to point out that all of them have an Israeli contingency or are solely placing its sights squarely on Israel. The most obvious is the Iranian nuclear threat and the lacking of a spine amongst the Western Powers leaving once again the solution squarely with Israel, which begs the question as to what will the world, particularly the Western Powers, do if the problem is shown to be beyond Israeli conventional capabilities thus leaving the choice between Western Power intervention, a nuclear armed Iran spreading its hegemonic desires upon the Middle East, Northern Africa and all of Europe or, potentially the worst possible solution, a tactical nuclear strike to decapitate the Iranian leadership by any of the nations potentially threatened by a nuclear Iran. The obvious best scenario would be for the Western Powers, particularly the United States or the European Union acting as a single power including its complete membership acting as one to make known to Iran that either they terminate their nuclear weapons dreams, dismantle their nuclear sites allowing for inspections of every step along the way to assure compliance or face even more all-inclusive sanctions than Iran has faced to this point. Unfortunately, the United States is currently led by a President who sees empowering Iran and making them the new main ally of the United States with Iran in the superior position and the United States engaged as the supportive partner providing cover through negotiations to permit nuclear weapons capability of deliverable warheads, not just a single warhead but potentially hundreds of deliverable nuclear warheads spanning the complete range from thermonuclear city-busting devices to EMP yields capable of striking down the electrical grids of the continental United States and Canada or the entirety of Europe or the Russian grid including surrounding satellite nations to tactical weapons deployable in support of ground-forces engaging any foe’s opposing armies. This would be the result of the current Framework should the Farsi translation as claimed by the Iranian nuclear negotiating hierarchy which has been backed fully by the leadership and finally given the stamp of authenticity by the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei (in Farsi: حسینی خامنه‌ای سید علی) be proven valid and still acceptable.

Thus far, there has been total silence given as a response by the White House which implies that they know full well that the Framework they allowed the Iranians to mold due to the United States team’s compliance and their taking the position of explaining the Iranian demands being planted as the Framework was the better choice than implementing a military response as no sane individual desires to start a war. The reasoning by President Obama, Secretary of State Kerry and the entirety of the United States negotiators is flawless as long as the sole alternative to the present situation was to start a war, a completely specious and disingenuous choice which is fully noted by the White House. President Obama is presenting a dishonestly fallacious choice and he knows so. This was the given alternative when President Obama responded to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu speech to a Joint Session of Congress where the underlying theme of his speech was that war was not the sole and obvious alternative to this bad deal, a better deal brought forth through the reapplication of the relaxed sanctions and potentially the imposition of even stricter and more encompassing sanctions but never war. President Obama along with White House Spokesperson Josh Earnest and supporting members of the White House public interface as well as the myriad of spokespeople from the State Department such as but not limited to Jen Psaki, Victoria Nuland and Marie Harf have all adopted the proven irrational choice as between whatever deal eventually is hammered out or war. The first falsehood is it is well known that President Obama will not only refuse to choose the military option; he will not even move it on the table to give the appearance of having been considered. With the United States actually taking the other side, evidence provided by Amir Hossein Mottaghi, known to have managed media, Internet and other electronic dealings for Rouhani during his 2013 Presidential election campaign, sought asylum and in interviews related how the Iranian media at the Lausanne negotiations were merely tools used to control the information fed to the Iranian people. But Amir Hossein Mottaghi’s biggest coup was his reporting that, “The US negotiating team are mainly there to speak on Iran’s behalf with other members of the P5+1 countries and convince them of a deal.”

Apparently the most feasible, productive and potentially desirable outcome has to be a better deal than what has been made as evidenced by the Iranians with their apparent belief that the Framework Agreement stipulates allowing them to continue with their nuclear program unhindered by the coming deal. The Iranians fully expect to dictate the terms for the final agreement and President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry will take that as the direction for the P5+1 to go. This has to be prevented and the fastest and most probable path to successfully doing so would be attained simply by the European Union taking the lead dismissing the United States as having become useless. The Europeans first move after dismissing the United States leadership would be to threaten to reapply the strongest sanctions so as to get the full attention of the Iranian leadership. Perhaps with a new threat of actually having an opposing side would bring the Iranians back to the negotiating table this time duly shamed thus ready to actually negotiate and realize that they will not be permitted to continue having everything their way. Once the European Union had coordinated with the United Nations and brought them on board with the Europeans’ rejection of the leadership role played by the United States, the European Union would necessarily need to carry negotiations forward at a speed far faster than the United States which would be potentially possible simply by using the original draft of a Framework with the major points which the United States has dropped until the Framework Agreement had become meaningless. The European Union taking such an initiative might just jumpstart the United States role as a senior or lead negotiator. Should the United States attempt to reestablish their predominance within the workings of the negotiations, the European Union should refuse such a move further reestablishing their reassuming the lead role. One might even desire going so far as to relieve the United States of having an overriding veto over any of the provisions as their actions have proven their lack of serious desire to even minimally restrict the Iranian nuclear program. Anything short of rejecting the current Framework and returning to the basic demands from before the United States eventually stripped them of any relevance would make all efforts futile. There is still the possibility of having a finished and signed better deal by the end of June providing that the European Union is willing to take a principled stance or if they are going to permit this freak-show being staged by the United States Iran will be a nuclear armed nation by Christmas. Serious reapplication of the full range of sanctions would get the full attention of the European insistence that Iran become serious or face really serious sanctions going forward for as long as it takes. These were the sanctions which had actually brought the Iranians to the negotiating table and were also the sanctions which President Obama just could not wait to relax that he held private talks with the Iranians and relaxed the sanctions without receiving even a single concession. That has become the latest way that negotiations have operated with the rest of the P5+1 joining sessions which are held so that the United States can dictate the latest surrender of points to the Iranians and present them as great victories though anybody with 20/20 vision and half a brain can see they are exactly the opposite as each rendition is weaker than the previous and the whole while the United States has pulled hard for weakening the sanctions. But unfortunately the European Union has been so weakened that their once proud nations which traveled the globe with their strong forces of trade protected by navies and marines who were the envy of the world are no more and their dependence on the protections of other nations has left them incapable of taking such a lead role.

But there has been one place where the Europeans have found their abilities to act with resolute strength, Israel. The European Union and individual governments have already primed the engines of industry to rush into Iran as soon as sanctions are lifted, if they even wait that long after witnessing the Russian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system recently reactivated violating both the Iranian sanctions still in place and the sanctions against their engaging in such activities due to their offenses in the Ukraine. The strongest words about the Russian jumping the gun did emanate from the White House where President Obama stated his surprise that the Russians held off this long considering the weakness displayed by the United States and other nations involved in the negotiations with Iran. But these same weaklings who are unable to even look the Iranian leadership in the eye will glare at Israel demanding her surrender of all lands which International Law assigns as legally Israeli lands. The Europeans do not care and for as long as the United States shows no favor to their longtime loyal friend, the Europeans will continue displaying their hatred for Israel with some expressing regrets over voting for the Jewish State both in 1920 after the initial findings during the San Remo Conference and again in November of 1947 which may have actually had much to do with the revelations of the Holocaust and the extent the hatreds were permitted by the allies as well as the axis powers. But now the many nations, especially the so proper and perfect in their attire and manner of speech always sticking to the approved progressive reasons and smugly purporting such superiority while they quiver before the Muslim threats they have no difficulty demonizing and walking forward with the destruction of Israel, the Jewish State, for they are fully aware that Israel will not strike them for their spiteful hatred while the Muslims might smite them even if they demur perfectly into their roles as Dhimmi bowing before their Islamic masters. The world will soon face a choice, a great choice which will be their final choice, Israel or Islam, with which will each of us stand? The choice in this instance is not merely for nations but for individuals to choose. Needless to point out that should an individual living in any nations that stands to ally with Israel and you choose to ally with Islam, you will have your choice protected, but if you choose Israel and your nation chooses Islam then you had best move to a nation which will accept your choice for the nations that choose Islam will be unable to couch an individual who desired any other choice. The clouds have been on the horizon for as long as I can remember, and I can remember back to President Ike and the campaign buttons screaming, “I Like Ike!” Those were good days in so many ways and also had their share of evil, an evil which sought to minimize the presence of Blacks in many public places as well as private. Lesser remembered were the places both public but mostly private where a Jew was unwelcome. The sixties and seventies came and went and much of the segregations had been eliminated yet there were still those private clubs closed to Black and Jew alike. Eventually these hatreds were supposedly conquered but we all know those few Neanderthals who refuse to bury their hatreds. In the United States the religion which has had the most hateful crimes perpetrated against them from 1900 to 2000 was far and away Jews. Since 2001 and the World Trade Center disaster the popular opinion has been that Islam became the religion which suffered the most hate crimes but that perception is not backed up by the statistics as the Jews remain the religion with the highest number of hate crimes perpetrated against them.

The real sadness is the singling out of the Jews over the centuries has now been applied to the national home for the Jews. This is beyond any moral fathoming and the world has but two societies which support the nation of Israel, one obvious and the other far less so. The largest support for Israel comes from the Evangelical Christians who easily surpass the Jews in their support. As difficult as it may be to believe, the Evangelical Christians support Israel in a higher percentage than does the Jewish community in the United States and this is even after discounting those religious Chassidim communities who do not accept Israel due to religious interpretations of Torah believing that Israel is to be established by the Messiah and not before. Still the Jewish communities within the United States take second place behind the Evangelical Christians in their support for Israel. Why, you might ask, would the Jews not be at one-hundred-percent supporting of Israel? The Jews who least support Israel are the least observant of strict Jewish traditions and commandments. These are Jews who have redefined their Jewish religious observance to match the progressive agendas. They place acceptance of all individuals above Jewish laws about marriage by their not only accepting same sex marriages but condone performing such ceremonies with their Rabbi officiating in their Sanctuaries. They replaced the idea of perfecting the world through doing all possible to perfect oneself and by such example change the world with the ideal that for every problem there must be a government program to address and form a solution, which is normally to just throw money at the problem. They have replaced G0d with government and thus are comfortable with an all-powerful government as government is the source of all goodness. They sold their soul to the progressive cause, have also accepted the progressive leftist beliefs that Israel is an Apartheid state which persecutes the Palestinians and is illegitimate, and are most likely to condemn Israel of any crime anyone brings against Israel. As a Zionist, very likely from birth, I have always had difficulty interacting with the Progressive, leftist, whites are the source of all evil, Israel has no right to exist, whacko, crazy, lunatic-leftist, earth-first, Ghia worshipping, statist Jews by birth only. Whenever I meet one when traveling even within Israel I carefully refuse to speak about even the weather as that inevitable is taken straight to what in the current weather will bring the end of all life on the planet we are all doomed to some anthropomorphic apocalyptic cataclysm. Did I mention also insane and you do not want to know how I really feel.

Peace Dispute of Israel vs Hamas with World’s Aid to Begin

Israel is about to face an antagonistic force even more diabolical and sinister than any of the terrorists even including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, ISIS and the rest of the terrorist stew which operates out of Gaza. These are two political individuals and their assistants and assigned experts in order to forge an end to the violence and bring peace to Gaza and Israel, or at least that is the newswire story being broadcast and printed across the Western media. The first of these two forces of underwhelming impartiality and unremitting arrogance is United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon who recently in comments about the current Hamas Israel conflict admonished Israel, and only Israel, to “Israel must exercise maximum restraint and do far more to protect civilians,” adding that it also “must respect the humanitarian law” and further while referring to the heavy fighting between Israel and Hamas “While I was en route to Doha, dozens more civilians, including children had been killed in Israeli military strikes in Shejaiya. I condemn this atrocious action.” Referring to the narrow coastal strip controlled by the Islamist Hamas Ban Ki-Moon insisted, “Too many innocent people are dying … living in constant fear,” and that “Gaza is an open wound. We must stop the bleeding now.” Further, during a joint address to the press with Secretary Ban Ki-Moon, Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid al-Attiyah said, “We do not claim to have a special initiative. We have just delivered the demands of the Palestinian people. It is not important who manages to fulfil the demands of Palestinian people, as long as justice is achieved, even if partially.” Now that the United Nations leader has been briefed as to the exact minimal demands, which likely more closely represent maximalist demands, Secretary Moon schedule has him heading to Kuwait City, Cairo, Jerusalem, Ramallah and Amman to facilitate a ceasefire which includes the Palestinian demands. One must wonder if down the road Ban Ki-Moon will be headed to Ankara in order to have an in-depth conversation with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for what Ban Ki-Moon will likely classify as necessary, informative and insightful briefing which covered many of the here-to-for unmentioned Israeli criminal acts during this conflict. It does not take a crystal ball or an Ouija Board to assess or figure out where Recep Erdogan will fall in any contributions he could add, and pro-Israel is definitely not a possibility.

Also arriving replete with specific guidelines from his boss, United States President Barack Obama, is Secretary of State John Kerry. Secretary Kerry is heading initially for Cairo, Egypt but it has been mentioned that he is considering a trip to Doha, Qatar possibly crossing paths with Ban Ki-Moon whose itinerary is the opposite order. Despite their opposing travel plans, the two men agree on far more than they disagree. President Obama announced an outline of guidelines and other helpful insights in a press announcement stating, “All of us are working hard to return to the cease-fire that was reached in November of 2012. Secretary Kerry is working to support Egypt’s initiative to pursue that outcome. I told Prime Minister Netanyahu that John is prepared to travel to the region following additional consultations.” These comments came amidst three conversations with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu where at least one was reported to have been interrupted by the Code Red Sirens sounding signaling incoming Hamas or Islamic Jihad rockets. Speaking officially for the Department of State, Jen Psaki stated that the United States and its international partners were “deeply concerned about the risk of further escalation, and the loss of more innocent life.” On his rounds through the Sunday talk circuit, Secretary John Kerry told ABC’s ‘This Week’ that, “It’s ugly. War is ugly, and bad things are going to happen.” He added while commenting on Hamas’s responsibilities in finding a resolution to the conflict they, “to recognize their own responsibility.” On CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ Kerry speaking again about Hamas claimed that they must “step up and show a level of reasonableness, and they need to accept the offer of a cease-fire.” Evening out his commentary he added, “We will certainly discuss all of the issues relevant to the underlying crisis.” Lastly, Secretary Kerry speaking on NBC’S ‘Meet the Press’ that Israel “has every right in the world to defend itself” from attacks from Hamas militants in Gaza and that the United States is working diligently to get an immediate cease-fire in place. He added that Israel must protect its citizens and no nation “would sit there while rockets are bombarding it.”

Elliott Abrams, former Middle East adviser to President George W. Bush, pointed out in an interview that, “It is remarkable to me that the U.S. would view Qatar as a reliable intermediary.” He further pointed out that Qatar maintains a “very warm relationship with Hamas but has no relation with Israel,” and added that Turkey has also become increasingly hostile toward Israel. It was further pointed out that Israel withdrew some of its diplomats from Turkey on Friday after a protest in front of the Israeli Embassy in the Turkish capital of Ankara turned violent. Erdogan, meanwhile, has accused Israel of committing “systematic genocide” against Palestinians and has protested that the rest of the world, including the U.S. and the U.N., isn’t doing more to stop it. Another expert who has been quoted by Newsweek, Robert Danin who is a former State Department official who dealing with Israeli Palestinian affairs, claimed, “Turkey and Qatar are on one side, and Egypt is on the other. Egypt is siding with Israel, and Turkey and Qatar with Hamas.” Mr. Danin concluded that the United States could provide the necessary neutral mediator who would play “traffic cop” leading to finding a path to a permanent cease-fire.

The one item which everybody appears to be too nervous to state in fear is what can be done to force Hamas to a compromise as they might then have to suggest what can be done to circumvent the impossible expectations and demands that Hamas has put forth and claimed they would prefer death before surrendering even a single of their demands. These demands, which many have referred to as outrageous, that Israel end their blockade and permit Gaza to reopen their port facilities and their international airport plus completely free and open borders with both Israel and Egypt with no restrictions on imports. Additionally, Hamas demands that every single Hamas terrorist who was recently arrested during the search for the three Israeli teens who were subsequently found murdered be released even if they had been found to have returned to terrorist activities which may have led to them new charges. And then there was also a financial demand from Hamas which demanded that Israel continue to provide Gaza with electricity free of any fees and forgive all unpaid back charges for electricity provided over the past decade which amounts to millions of NIS, Israeli Shekels. Another insisted demand is for Israel allow Gaza fisherman to venture out 12 nautical miles from the Gaza. Hamas also has serious problems with potential wording of any ceasefire insisting that the term ‘hostilities’ in the Egyptian initiative be replaced with what they refer to as the correct description for their actions which should refer to ‘what they are doing is self-defense and resisting the occupation, but what the occupation is doing is aggression’ thus legalizing Hamas’s rocket barrages which led to the conflict while criminalizing Israeli efforts to defend their civilians from said rocket barrages. Additionally, Hamas is demanding that Israel cease their policy of destroying terrorists’ houses, cease their targeted elimination of Hamas terrorists and leadership, cease all ‘collective punishment’ of Gazans, cease all military overflights of Gazan airspace, and finally, guarantee the supply of fuel and building materials into Gaza as needed to fully rebuilt and renovate the industrial zones along the border and for all future projects deemed necessary by Hamas.

The root of the problem is that as long as Hamas persists in their aims as stated in the Hamas Charter that they continue their war with the Jewish People in order to reclaim all of what they refer to as historic Palestine from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea and making it Judenfrei and then to continue the struggle until they have accomplished their ultimate goal, first, a world that is Judenfrei and then the imposition of the Sharia worldwide with either all peoples converted to Islam, their particular version of Islam, and any others accepting of Dhimmitude complete with such provisions as the Jizya tax for non-Muslims and other abuses and disgraceful treatments, the concept of security for Israel is made impossible. For Israel to achieve their singular goal of a long-term secure peace free of terrorist attacks, rockets, mortars, suicide bombings, kidnapping of civilians or soldiers and the other various assaults which have made up much of the interactions between Hamas and Israel, the complete removal of Hamas and their related terrorist groups has to be their first step. Should there be a ceasefire established it will unfortunately not signal the end of animosity and aggression from Hamas nor bring an end to the Hamas desires to destroy Israel and removal of the Jewish presence on planet Earth no matter what agreement Hamas may sign. Nothing in an Israeli-Hamas agreement will be considered to be binding by Hamas as they will be using the Islamic concept of taqiyya which permits lying to a non-Muslim if the deception furthers the goals and concepts of Islam or any Islamic entity. That presents a challenge in that how does one negotiate and reach any binding agreement in perpetuity when one side believes that they may use deceit as a tool in their negotiating and that no treaty of agreement is necessarily applicable to them and that they are completely within their rights to break any agreement when it suits their immediate purposes. This is the reason that many in Israel and without who understand these concepts and the attitudes of Hamas believe that the only honestly viable solution which would bring peace is the complete and total eradication of Hamas and the other terrorist groups who are little different than Hamas.

This will never be permitted by the United Nations, United States, European Union, the Arab League, or the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). These institutions and nations either support Hamas and their goals or pretend that Hamas will honor any agreement they hammer out though in reality they are aware that such thoughts are as untrue and utterly treacherous as are their efforts and desires to reach an agreement no matter the consequences. This was proven by the facts around the entirety of this conflict over the past five to six weeks when there was absolutely no concern or reactions from the rest of the world while Hamas was ramping up the numbers of rockets launched into Israel. During the same time period these same entities also were mostly ignoring or making empty commentary and complaints about the continuing civil war tearing Syria apart and the ISIS destruction and sweeping across Iraq which has even brought back the use of crucifixion as a form of punishment for certain crimes and even for some unapproved lifestyles or religious beliefs. Still, as soon as Israel sent their first fighters to attack rocket launching platforms to relieve Israeli civilians from the ever increasing barrages launched intending to destroy their homes and lives by Hamas from out of Gaza where they utilized Gazan civilians as shields protecting their rocket launchers much of the Western World and most of the Arab and Muslim worlds erupted to condemn the Israeli actions demanding their halt and a ceasefire be implemented. These demands for a ceasefire have only grown more and more shrill and gained volume leading to a virtual explosion of outrage when Israel escalated their offensive by initiating a ground assault. Now the world is joining forces behind the efforts of the United States and the United Nations in efforts to forge a ceasefire. Since Hamas is unlikely to backtrack off any of their demands as they believe they must prove victorious in order to preserve their position in Gaza and enhance their efforts to win any upcoming elections and take control over all of the Palestinian lands including Judea and Samaria from which their attacks against Israel will be greatly enhanced. This means that these efforts will mostly focus on forcing concessions from the Israelis while potentially adding incentives to bribe Hamas into making an agreed ceasefire. How can we be certain that this will be what is about to occur? We can tell as this has been the modus operandi of the United States, United Nations, European Union, most European governments, various NGOs, as well as other entities throughout the Arab and Muslim worlds and beyond. This is obvious if one simply peruses the news and takes note of where there are demonstrations against Israel and not against Hamas. What is even more distressing about many of these demonstrations, even beyond the violent riots which they are producing, has been the virulent anti-Semitism which has been given voice throughout the world reaching from France to Japan and from Turkey to the United States and Canada. The one place which has supported Israel unequivocally has been Canada under Prime Minister Harper, kudos Mr. Harper. I wonder if Canada would like to negotiate the ceasefire agreement, like anybody would allow a true and faithful supporter of Israel to chair anything concerning the Middle East. One might get the impression that much of the world fears the enemies of Israel to such an extent that they would gladly offer up Israel as a sacrifice in order to soothe the savage beasts.

America Starts Down the Slippery Slope

The standing order the industrialized western world once stood solidly and uniformly behind was the ideal which forbid the negotiation with terrorists and especially not to negotiate the trade of prisoners no matter who was held by the terrorists. This was the position that was initially taken because of the rash of hijackings of passenger aircraft. President Obama just stepped away from this principle by trading five Taliban prisoners who were some of their top leaders and trainers for one American soldier. The fact that he did not follow the set procedure and notify the Congress of the trade and receive their agreement will prove to be the least of the ramifications down the road, or should I say further down the slippery slope. Today the President of the United States traded five terror leaders for one soldier and now before too much longer the United States will end up offering hundreds or even thousands of terrorists for a single soldier or possibly just to be granted an audience in order to pretend to negotiate a peace which all know cannot be reached. How can I predict this? Easy, Israel started trading three terrorists for a single soldier and within a couple of decades Israel traded over a thousand terrorists for Gilad Shalit, and even worse, they agreed under pressure from the United States government to offer over a hundred terrorists just to sit and be insulted in what was recognized by all from the start to be a farce dressed up as a peace process. Israel had held out for years before finally breaking their policy of never ever to negotiate with terrorists. How did Israel end up starting to negotiate with terrorists? The same way other western nations ended up agreeing to negotiate with terrorists, it seemed like the necessary and right thing to do at the time. Once Israel had negotiated the first time with terrorists the barrage became inevitable and was helped along when some Israelis bought onto the idea that negotiations could be carried on with Yasser Arafat and the PLO as long as they took another name for the sake of negotiations, thus was born the Palestinian Authority and Yasser Arafat was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for his willingness to be transformed from one of the world’s terrorist leaders into an advocate for peace. Of course Yasser Arafat actually had not changed; just the honors and treatment he was to be granted by the western nations changed and the blind spot they developed in order to continue that farce only grew with time. That very same blind spot grew sufficiently that it now conceals the terrorist heart beating in Mahmoud Abbas.

The transformation from never negotiating with terrorists to trading a thousand plus terrorist prisoners for a single soldier and even offering to trade over one hundred terrorist prisoners in exchange for false peace talks took a simple matter of a few decades at most and might happen almost instantly by comparison as the United States will be traversing a path already paved by Israel making the transition that much the easier. The giving of an inch and compromising what had been initially presented as an unalterable, cast in iron policy and shattering that policy and principle has been done so completely that it can never be reassembled with anywhere near as little effort. Transgressing principle the first time is often unbelievably stressful and difficult but once transgressed, the principle will take near beyond insurmountable climb to reclaim and reestablish, especially that those who are the opposition will hold the controlling position as back down and folding once simply makes the enemy redouble their efforts to push to shatter the next principle and then the next as once they break the first ring, the center, the heart becomes the target and the susceptibility of your heart makes it perilously endangered. So, America is now one giant additional step closer to fulfilling the promise made by President Obama during his first campaign; to fundamentally transform the United States of America. This begs the question of how long before President Obama makes good on the second most ominous of his campaign promises, “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.” Oh, never mind, he just did that one today so that makes two in a row. At this rate he might keep every promise he has ever made by Labor Day. I guess the dreams of hope and change are finally on course to be realized now that President Obama does not have to face the electorate ever again. Or at least we can hope he never faces another election to any office.
