Save Me Your Holier than Thou, We Paid Our Dues; so You Cannot Demand Our Obedience

First we would like to thank those American Jews and Christians who donated to Israeli funds and other interests. We appreciate your visiting and spending your tourist dollars here. We do appreciate the fact that your advice is well-intended and that you only mean for Israel to be the best that is possible. We understand that your desires are for Israel to be the moral example for the world and for us to act in such a manner that everybody will love us. We also understand when you complain that our actions reflect upon you and often appear to make your lives difficult. We understand that sometimes you cannot find any way of defending some of the actions Israel uses and the methods by which we seek to preserve Israel’s existence. We are aware of why you are so furious over Israel’s new travel ban on those who view Israel as an “apartheid” state; oppose the Israeli “settlement” of the Jewish homeland; and fight to isolate and de-legitimize Israel by boycotting Israeli academics, speakers, leaders, and products. We understand that you view this in the same light as Trump’s temporary immigration ban on merely seven Arab states where vetting those arriving from these places is next to impossible.

We understand that you feel you would be a hypocrite should you so oppose Trumps actions and simply allow with a wink and a nod Israel to act similarly. We even understand those who have threatened to stop contributing to Israeli funds unless we act properly. Well, allow us to reply, thanks, but no thanks. Keep your monies if that is your desire and please end your endless preaching and demanding that Israel act such that you are comfortable with our actions. Contrary to your opinion, Israel is not around for you to wear on your bracelet as if it were a charm which you can display to your friends and say see how nicely they act always forgiving every slight and never ever taking a hard line against those who would kill every Israeli if only they had the weapons with which to do so. See how they try so hard to diplomatically resolve their problems with those who are launching rockets at their children’s kindergarten and fire rockets timed with the start and end of the school day. Aren’t the Israelis just the most liberal and caring people always taking in whatever refugees appear on their border even when many of them only come to commit heinous acts of terror and act belligerently, especially to the Israeli women and the elderly.

This is not going to happen and you are going to have to just settle for the fact that Israel is a nation like every other nation in that sometimes it will need to act in ways which possibly the majority of the world, especially when it is Israel acting so, will go into an uproar denouncing Israel and those doing so might include you or those you know. Sometimes you are not going to be able to defend Israeli actions to your leftist friends who love to point out how Israel is just as bad as every other nation. We know that such is a lie and those making those claims would demand Israel commit suicide and still would complain we were not giving enough. That is just too bad because Israel does act and plan to remain a viable nation able to defend her borders. This requires that these borders are defendable in the first place. That means that we are not going to surrender everything the world would demand of us. We gave away Gaza and that resulted in a disaster yet the world immediately pocketed that generous act of faith and immediately demanded we surrender Judea and Samaria to the same people whose last gift resulted in Hamastan on our southern border and a menace for Egypt in the Sinai Peninsula. Were we to repeat that mistake and the same happen in Judea and Samaria these very same people from the United Nations, European Union and nations around the world would demand we give away the Negev next as proof we wish to get along with the rest of the world. Well, if suicide is what is required to get along with the rest of the world, guess we will not be getting along and you will have to live with these facts such that we can live period.

There appears to be a growing existence particularly in the United States believing that Israel must run every decision past a select group of important people who are far more knowledgeable when it comes to policies and what would best serve their desires which Israel should be required to commit to such that they will feel proud to be considered supporters. Should Israel disappoint them, then the Israeli government should be replaced and these same self-serving people should be the final arbiters as to who should run the nation. Those with whom they disagree should be relegated into the minority and only those who are amongst the approved group of left leaning, two-state supporting, anti-settlement, secular, anti-orthodox politicians who would feel comfortable and are acceptable to the leftist wing of the Democrat Party should be permitted to run Israel. Well, that is not about to happen. Israel is rapidly becoming more religious and more Zionist than any of the average Democrat Party leadership could ever be if their recent convention and choices for leadership are any indication of their leanings. Any political groups which find leadership such as Democrat Party National Committee Chair Tom Perez and Deputy Chair Keith Ellison, both of whom have a record of anti-Israel activity and advocacy, are not possible allies of Israel and should not have any influence over Israeli political or military decisions. Those who would support allowing a Women’s March to be coordinated by pro-Palestinian, anti-Israeli Linda Sarsour and convicted Palestinian terrorist Rasmea Odeh are not capable of also claiming to be supportive of Israel. Support of Rasmea Odeh and believing her story that she was innocent of the terror attack bombing of a supermarket which murdered two young Israelis, twenty-one year old Leon Kanner and twenty-two year old Eddie Joffe, and injured nine others because her confession was given while in the custody of the Israeli authorities disqualifies them as being a supporter of Israel. Those who believe her claims of innocence and that she was sexually tortured as was her father for forty-five days before she confessed to her part in the terror attack has beliefs about Israelis which belie their claims of support for Israel. Yet these are often the people who scream the loudest accusing Israel of improper activities and then plead that Israel should be required to seek their approval before taking any actions political, military or other security actions. They are also the most shocked and astounded that Israel would take precautions without conferring first with their betters in the United States, particularly their betters in the leftist organizations such as Jews for Peace, Rabbis for Peace, B’Tselem, J Street and numerous other leftist, post-Zionist radical groups.

Much to the horror of these leftist detractors of Israel, the majority of the Israeli population does not agree with their demands that Israel sacrifice even further because peace is just one more sacrifice away, just as they claimed before Israel made the last sacrifice which they claimed that this time it would be the last sacrifice, not like the sacrifice before that which was also to be the last sacrifice as was the one before and the one before and that has been the story for the past twenty-plus years of Israeli final sacrifices for peace. After the Gaza debacle, the Israeli public completely has decided that they see real willingness and a different attitude from those with whom Israel is presumably supposed to be making peace. Mahmoud Abbas has refused to even meet with the Israelis; yet the world demands that Israel continue making sacrifices though the last two sacrifices, if not more, have not been returned and instead have been rebuked and met with claims that whatever sacrifice Israel made was insufficient and until and unless Israel is ready to fall on their sword, then nothing less than suicidal retreats will suffice. Those who claim that such sacrifices are not out of the reasonable sphere are not friends of Israel and are simply seeking to make points as being the greater leftist making the greater demands for Israeli sacrifice than the next leftist. Israel cannot meet the demands from every corner as doing so would be the end of the Jewish State. Israel is not going to commit to being suicidal and will act in the way best suited for continued health and existence of the Jewish State and will refuse those ridiculous demands of the United Nations, European Union, and others whose demands are of a similar nature.

Now to get down to the reality and truth of the matter which may be painful for some but, for the most honest, these revelations will come as no surprise as they have known that their views have drifted further and further left and with that drift so have their demands of Israel in the face of the Islamic escalating animosity and belligerence towards the Western World in general and Israel in particular, even more so than the United States. Israel sacrificed in making the Oslo Accords after Yasser Arafat duped the world into believing he had reformed from his terrorist days which included the attempted overthrow of the government in Jordan, the eventual weakening and Islamification of Lebanon and the start of the Lebanon Civil War and formation of Hezballah through his actions. Even after the Second Intifada about which came proof that it had been planned even before Arafat went to hold talks with Israel with President Clinton at Camp David and then in Paris where he already planned the violence such that he could blame it on Israel for not surrendering completely at the negotiations. What Arafat had not planned on was that after he gave President Clinton his word that he would accept a set of terms he deemed beyond Israeli comfort levels that Prime Minister Ehud Barak would agree to his demands for close to ninety-five percent of the West Bank, land swaps, and half of Jerusalem in order to make peace. The next morning when President Clinton planned on finalizing the deal and collecting signatures, Yasser Arafat stormed from the meeting with Secretary of State Madeline Albright chasing him down the hall to no avail.

Israel has made concession and sacrifice one after another with nothing to show for it other than the world expecting more from Israel to the point of demanding Israel make sacrifices simply for the sake of having Israel sacrifice with nothing offered in return. This led to the Gaza giveaway where all of Gaza was surrendered by Israel, over eight-thousand Jewish lives turned upside-down being ripped from their homes, their livelihoods often destroyed, their greenhouses turned over to the Arabs who tore them apart to make rockets and launchers, and then soon thereafter the Palestinian Authority surrendered the Gaza Strip over to Hamas, Islamic Jihad and giving a beachhead potentially to Iran on the Israeli southern border. Since signing onto the Oslo Accords where Israel was promised to retain Area C and all of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Authority was granted semi-autonomy over Area A which would lead to their being given Area A as the central lands for their state while Area B would be mutually governed and deliberations would decide where the eventual border would stand to the current situation where the world is demanding that the Arabs be given all of Judea and Samaria, half of Jerusalem and that Israel accept many hundreds of thousand Arab refugees and there are those who demand Israel accept millions of Arab refugees and that all of Jerusalem resulting in not just a single new Arab state but two new Arab states and the death of Israel and likely the extermination of another six-million Jews as the world would again refuse to permit them to emigrate to their shores and to relative safety. This is why Israel can no longer simply bow to every demand and whim which passes for the newest idea which will bring peace and instead decide what will allow Israel to keep peace through sufficient strength and control of strategically significant positions. These vital points include potentially all of Judea and Samaria as the Palestinian Arab population becomes virulently anti-Semitic and more militarized to the point they are becoming a threat to Israel’s continued existence.

This is the reality and as things worsen it will become even more of a necessity that Israel reestablish complete control over all of Judea and Samaria; and if that should also require the removal of the Arabs which are known to be militantly anti-Israel and anti-Semitic, then that is what will have to be. The current government would never likely permit such an eventuality, but that does not mean that such would not become necessary and that a future government would remain so intimidated by the world’s leftist largely in Europe and the United States. The threat that Israel will be hated if it does not comply with the next round of demands no longer frightens the Israeli population as they have learned that being hated is not necessarily the worst of all things, ceasing to have a defendable border and a safe place in which to live is far worse and if being hated becomes the price for survival, we will take survival, thank you so very much. We understand and have learned how easy it is for others, even Jews who claim to be our fiercest supporters, to demand that Israel surrender to her enemies and how doing so can make these people feel so superior and good about themselves and how it allows them to claim they are such great supporters of a peaceful solution to the Palestinian situation and how they are the most compassionate. We also are learning how to simply say, “No!” And when “No!” does not suffice, then how about we say, well, let us say we say, “No!” even louder and possibly with a few superlatives added to the mix. And when that fails, as our saying “No” always has, then we will just have to let our actions be our statement, and that we are sure will suffice when that hard day arrives. The problem is the more the world demands the indefensible of Israel the more they make peace impossible because the Arab world stands assured that the rest of the world will hand them the Jews and not even blink when they slaughter the Jews by the millions. They observed the world’s lack of concern during World War II and learned that the world does not care if there are those who wish to murder Jews. They also learned that the world does not much care who is being murdered as long as the murdered are a minority who is not one of them and that includes Yazidi, Kurds, Roma and close to any other group which is too small to defend themselves or cause the rest of the world to care.

Even nations do not always get a response when they are gobbled up; just ask Czechoslovakia, currently Slovakia and the Czech Republic which probably means there are two nations which can be swallowed without the world getting even the slightest indigestion as they have not learned from history. One last warning should go out to all the Balkan nations, the smaller nations at the eastern end of Europe closest to the Russian border and the countries of Southeast Asia near China (which is all except India); the world will not care when larger entities swallow you whole or even wholesale because their only concern is are they still feeling safe. It is only when the major nations, which the world has fewer of these every year as now nations such as Spain, Romania, Syria, Yemen and by now even Kuwait are no longer worth going to war over. Should Iran be the nation taking one or more of these nations, not to include Saudi Arabia, and already have tested large nuclear weapons proven to be deliverable by their displayed ICBM capability, then many might complain and call on the United Nations, but none would do much if anything. Thus, any idea that one could expect others to come to the aid of Israel is ludicrous and thus Israel would be left hanging to fend for herself? The world is not getting safer by the hour but far more volatile and dangerous, so please do not fault us for noticing and acting accordingly. You want to hate us, and we would rather you have us to hate than you to have once loved us and now hate our having passed and fallen.

Jordan and Egypt Invert Events on Temple Mount

There were rioters who had spent the night in the al-Aqsa Mosque stockpiling rocks, bricks, and firebombs otherwise known as Molotov Cocktails but using such an offensive wording is understood to be forbidden as the attacks of Arabs must be softened and appear to be restive or unruly conduct, not actual assault with intent to do bodily harm or even attempted murder, the charge I would face if I were to hurl a Molotov Cocktail, no, wait, firebomb except as I am not Muslim it would be the Molotov Cocktail and a charge of assault with intent to do bodily harm if not attempted murder. These ‘youths’ were a little high spirited this morning and were rightfully protesting the exclusion of two groups of people who cause disturbance and upset the mood for those visiting the Temple Mount by hurling insults, throwing objects, cursing, spitting, kicking and otherwise spoiling the aura and attachment to the holy and historic aspects of this central place in Judaism. They are not an actual threat, they just ruin the mood and banning them for such trivial occurrences which are perfectly permissible under their version of Islam and the Jews, oops, sorry, dhimmi should understand it is their lot to have objects, insults and yelling, even firebombs thrown at them and not complain or take anything other than slight offense, deserved offense though. This morning when the police came under the planned attitude adjustment, reacted harshly and actually defended themselves and the District Police and Border Police responded by firing stun grenades and tear gas, dispersing the rioters. This was an unacceptable response from these authorities as dhimmi they should simply take their insults with a more deserved and shamed posture as who do these officers think they are trying to enforce non-Islamic laws as Muslim law permits such acts in defense of the feared assault on the al-Aqsa Mosque which apparently is imminent twenty-four-seven and thus assaults on anyone, including police as they are Israeli police and thus not a legal entity as far as these rioters are concerned. As the police often react by retreating and never actually attempt to harm, nay even touch, as these rioters are to be treated with kid gloves and never are those gloves to be removed despite what the Defense Minister or Prime Minister may tell the media for the population to eat it up and believe their rights are being protected. Of course when they might actually be permitted a visit to the Temple Mount they have a better than fifty/fifty shot at being molested if not assailed by rioters or mobbed by the burka patrol who emit shrill ululations while kicking, punching, spiting and other degradations upon the Jewish dhimmi who have no rights as this is Islamic land under their version of Sharia and even the security police on the mount must permit these acts as that is Islam to these miscreants. But enough about the attacks this Sunday morning on the security police on the Temple Mount and on to the reaction to the riot dispersing methods utilized to scatter the mob and end their rightful place to attack these dhimmi and show they have no power and must bow their heads and take all shames heaped upon them but they dares actual stand against the attack, what next, actual prayers other than Islamic prayer on the Temple Mount, next thing you know they will want to build a Synagogue or even something called the Third Temple despite Islamic history proving there never was a First Temple or Second Temple constructed on this site or anywhere as there have been Arab Palestinians practicing Islam on these places for the last five-thousand years, just as Mahmoud Al-Habbash, Palestinian Authority Supreme Shari’ah Judge and Mahmoud Abbas’s Advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs has stated (video can be seen below), so how could there have ever been a Jewish structure on these grounds.

But even five-thousand years did not satisfy some of the advisors to Mahmoud Abbas, in another speech given in the name of the president of the Palestinian Authority and Chairman of the PLO Executive Committee and as the Comrade, and the Great Fighter, Abdallah Al-Ifranji, Representative and Advisor to the President finally gets to speak after one of the most elaborate titles signifying little to nothing other than he gets to read the script with great gusto while claiming the Arab Palestinians history dates back to 7,000 BCE, that is 9,000, yes, he claimed it, nine-thousand years history probably practicing child sacrifices to Ba’al which pretty much continued practice with their sending youths with bomb belts to cause more deaths and then they distribute sweets and candies, honk car horns, fire rifles and submachine guns into the air and other general revelry including dancing in the streets exactly as they did a little over fourteen years ago on September 11, 2001. First the video of the excerpt of the speech made in Mahmoud Abbas’s name by another trusted advisor, he appears to have a great number of advisors, hopefully he will find one who serves better than the ones he currently employs, one that actually desires peace and progress instead of obstructionist and overt demands aimed to strangle peace in its crib. The second video is actual new footage in a montage, the video used by more than one news outlet, in this case Fox News and CNN coverage of West Bank reactions to the 9/11 attacks on the United States and nearly three-thousand American civilians murdered in the most horrific and deadly terrorist operation in recent history.

Such celebratory acts and the persistent and escalating violence against Jews and other non-Muslims visiting the Temple Mount are all acts of the same anti-social vein. The Temple Mount has been transformed by Muslim coordinated efforts to make any visit by anyone other than Muslims as far from peaceful or respectful or solemn through continued violence and assaults both verbal and physical and sometimes potentially deadly with a constant threat of rioting and now that Israeli security has been tasked with attempting to end these constant assaults and deprivations, we have Jordan and Egypt condemning not the rioters, not the instigators, but condemning the police for using nonlethal techniques to dispel the rioters who spent the night in the al-Aksa Mosque waiting for a period after dawn when security personnel are almost ready to admit visitors before mounting their assault. These assaults can only be determined to be a form of ambush but apparently according to the Islamic Waqf which presumably has jurisdiction and supposedly could end these disturbances with a simple condemnation but they reserve that for the Israeli police and security personnel for responding to such ambushes with measured, non-lethal tactics using teargas and stun grenades.

“From the Jordanian government we received news that they condemn the assault carried out by Special Forces of the Israeli occupation army against the Al-Aqsa mosque compound,” Information Minister Mohammed Momani said. Further defense of the ambush against the compound by masked Muslim youths and young adults with firebombs, rocks and other projectiles claimed the response by the police; the Egyptian Foreign Ministry condemned the use of tear gas and sound bombs as an “unacceptable escalation against Muslim holy places in the occupied Palestinian territories.” These condemnations also caught the attention of one Mahmoud Abbas who issued a statement from his office declaring, “The presidency strongly condemns the attack by the occupier’s military and police against the Al-Aqsa mosque and the aggression against the faithful who were there.” The problem with the Arab Palestinian rioting on the Temple Mount is that it has become such a commonplace act that it no longer makes the news even when Israeli security personnel get injured, often seriously. But should a precious soul from the Arab rioters get a hangnail torn out and they bleed they will be carried roughly by six or seven of their comrades to the awaiting ambulance which appears magically within seconds and the poor victim is thrown into the Ambulance which speeds off as the door is being swung closed. Nowhere other than an Arab Palestinian riot with camera coverage arranged through stringers for AFP, CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, Reuters and freelance coverage sold to whoever will pay and you will see ambulances appear as if out of nowhere; they psychically knew exactly when and where the injury would take place. Their ability is beyond remarkable as has been demonstrated in the Pallywood commentaries on YouTube. With the average riot not getting picked up by the networks as rioting Arabs is not news, a Jew shouting back and making a less than polite gesture will get the Jew in question arrested, grilled by special services to force him to implement others making it a conspiracy and gives them reason to pick up others and give them administrative detention for as much as a year without charging them or giving them a trial. Below is an interesting video which covers a number of topics concerning the Temple Mount, Jerusalem and Jewish vs. Muslim claims of attachment to each as a holy site and holy grounds. Some of the truths revealed and backed with quotes from the Quran as well as the Bible.

Here we have the accusations from expected places such as Abbas and Jordan, but why Egypt saw fit to also condemn Israeli security personnel protecting themselves against rioters, a sorry situation which has afflicted Egypt as well with much of their problems originating or being directed from within Gaza, somewhere Egypt has no desire to enter for any reason, that they leave to the Israelis after which they complain and make charges and threats. Much of this is planned and will play a part in the coming plotting by the Arab Palestinians and their choreography leading up to the opening ceremonies of the United Nations General Assembly and the speeches by Mahmoud Abbas demanding the world grant them recognition as a nation under occupation. What is left unsaid is that the Arabs consider the reality that all of Israel is actually occupied Palestine and they are demanding all the Jews be moved or eradicated as any lands turned over for the “State” of Palestine must be made Judenrein while the Arabs demand the Jewish State repatriate the generations of Arabs even to include their sons and daughters and their children and in some families that are comprised of great grandchildren withering away as the refugee camouflage persists.

One additional voice has joined the chorus demanding that Israel allow the rioters on the Temple Mount have freedom to intimidate and threaten and eventually ban all others from having access to this important holy site, and that is the Arab League. This is fast becoming the next rallying cry on which to base the next massive Arab war against Israel, a war which will be fought with modern weapons on a par with those used by the IDF as the Europeans, Russians, Chinese and Americans have long given up on permitting Israel military superiority and instead have adopted the false belief Israel is more powerful than any of her neighbors policy. This has led to the first time since 1948-9 and 1967 where the Arab nations surrounding Israel have multiples of aircraft, artillery, armor, troop transports and other tools of war compared to Israel. Part of the reasoning has been Israeli success leading to the belief of Israeli invulnerability. If the nations which fought against Israel at her founding were to combine in a similar war today they would have a weapons advantage approaching or exceeding five to one against Israel. There are those who will claim Israel has overcome worse odds in the past. The problem is that in past wars the weaponry took a level of proficiency where knowledge, practice and coordination of systems to be effective while weaponry today has taken much of the human element out of the equation and all one need do is point and click and the weapons systems do the rest. War really has begun to resemble a video game with all the simplicity of use and reduction of necessary talent for the operator, in many ways these systems if kept up are even easier to use than the average video game.

There are articles, editorials and debates mostly under the title of “Israel Losing the Information War.” Their erudite discussions use numerous examples of Israeli politicians, ambassadors and spokespersons making statements and usually picking a particularly bland statements and claim that they are losing because their presentations do not resonate well. They claim that Israel has not made proper use of social media. They continue with a litany of nitpicking hypercritical arguments. What they refuse to cover is the real center of the problem, the media itself.

One needs to sit in a less comfortable chair and really listen to the coverage of the continuing conflict between the Arab world and Israel to detect the slant being utilized to present the Arab side as superior and preferential to that of the Israelis. The most pernicious effrontery is the choice of wording which effects the listeners’ opinion and acceptance of information being conveyed. When listing commentary concerning the Arab side, recently the Hamas side, the choice of wording is active while when talking about the Israeli side the wording is usually passive. The easiest example is when giving casualty reports. When listing Palestinian casualties they will invoke words such as murdered or killed yet while reporting Israeli casualties they will tend to simply report them as deaths or have died. Which is more emotionally charged, someone who was killed or someone who died? Another problem which has to do with casualty reporting has been the virtual exclusive utilization of the Hamas provided numbers despite historic proof that such numbers are unreliable and often exaggerated. In the current conflict the verified reports of fatalities in Gaza places the percentages of combatant casualties to civilian casualties has been closest to 1:1 yet the reports consistently claim that 90% of the casualties have been civilians. The former ratio was released by a Red Cross official who had been granted access to IDF reports and lists of names of those terrorists killed during Operation Protective Edge while the vast majority of news reports use the Hamas released numbers despite, as one commenter stated in a moment of brutal clarity when reporting, I wish I had recorded that news report as I have not been able to find any record of it, that the numbers being reported are probably exaggerated as news reporters have understood since the start of the conflict. Perhaps I should join Facebook.

The best and most well-known example of inflated and simply false beyond belief numbers and the perfidy of media coverage was the so-called Jenin Massacre. When during the Israeli retaking of control over a large swath of the Judea and Samaria (West Bank) there was a particularly fierce firefight between Fatah aligned terrorist fighters and the IDF. When the media covered the fighting then in the aftermath they insisted on using the reported numbers given by the Fatah spokespersons who claimed to have direct numbers from the actual area. The numbers kept increasing even after the fighting had concluded. Numbers which originally were just a few hundred soon cleared a thousand and soon climbed into multiple thousands with the final claims pushing over ten-thousand murdered Palestinians of which over 90% were presumably civilians. The IDF attempted to refute the numbers listing their and Fatah terrorists fatalities combined to be around one-hundred dead at the most with the IDF having lost twenty-three and fifty-two wounded and the various numbers of Palestinian deaths was between fifty-two and fifty-five with Human Rights Watch claiming a near even numbers of combatants and civilians while the IDF numbers showed only five confirmed civilian deaths and the remainder as active combatants. Fortunately for the Palestinians of Judea and Samaria Fatah had not used human shields in an intentional attempt to maximize civilian casualties while minimizing the loss of Fatah combatants and other military equipment and arms, something Hamas has made maximum use of in the current conflict which is the main reason for the higher than usual numbers of civilian casualties as compared to the majority of previous IDF wars.

Another reason behind slanted news has been the ease of completely accepting any press releases from Hamas and their spokespeople and the reliance on commentary from solely those sympathetic with the Palestinian side or hostile to the Israeli side. The newscasters when holding interviews with Israeli politicians or IDF spokespeople take on an adversarial and belligerent role challenging and belittling their every comment calling their veracity into question at every opportunity and then impugning their entire presentation in summary after closing the interview usually by sniping that that was a representative from the IDF or the Israeli parliament the Knesset as if such makes their information of dubious origins. There have been a fair number of such interviews where the interviewing reporter ended the exchange without thanking the Israeli representative for their time as if they resented having to hold the interview. On the other side these reporters universally thank the representatives who support Hamas such as CAIR, MSA and other Islamic supportive groups for their time and make comments after such interviews stating that we have just heard a refreshing take on the conflict going on between Hamas and Israel. Then there are the ways that information provided by both sides are reported and commented upon. The Hamas press releases and social media statements are read as straight facts without any conditional comments that might raise doubts to their validity while when quoting Israeli press releases they often make commentary calling into question the veracity of those statements often presenting them as such was the report according to IDF spokespersons. Such an accounting leaves any report as being probably a biased and lacking factual weight leaving the watcher in doubt as to if the facts presented are believable.

Add the media’s relentless presentation of the casualty numbers as if having more casualties makes one side the more honorable side more deserving of sympathy and somehow makes their grievances and positions more valid than the other side. Had such been the style of reporting during World War II then the Russian efforts would have carried the most weight followed by the Japanese and then the Germans with the French efforts being the most dubious followed by the United States and then Britain. Since when did suffering the higher numbers of casualties come to infer a more valid viewpoint and argument. Further, since when must one side take precautions not to cause more casualties on their enemies during a conflict than their enemy has caused amongst their side. Is not the entire effort of war to impart more casualties on the other side than your side suffers? Israelis are not being killed in similar numbers because Israel expends large amounts of resources and financial commitments to protect their people than Hamas has in Gaza. Take a little challenge here and remember as you make these calculations that Hamas has a multi-billion dollar construction of underground tunnels and command and control headquarters and storage areas which could also double as a bomb shelter with the capacity of holding close to the entire population of Gaza but only permits their Hamas combatants and leadership to take refuge underground while forcing their civilians to remain in areas where Israel has warned they intend to attack by dropping leaflets over the area. The challenge is to count by twenty-thousands where each announced interception of a Hamas rocket sent into Israel equals twenty-thousand dollars. This challenge discounts the hundreds of millions of dollars the development of the Iron Dome system cost and will only take into consideration the cost to produce the individual intercepting missile and also discounts the percentage, small as it may be, of missiles which did not intercept a rocket. That will give one a running total of the Israeli investment to protect their civilians as these Hamas rockets are not being aimed at the IDF, they are aimed at Israeli communities including her major cities. They are aimed at Jews, Christians, Muslims and those of other religions who all live with freedom to worship as they please in Israel. It is aimed at European, Arab, Asian and African Jews (there are Jews in Israel from every continent including the Ethiopian Jews rescued over the past decade, the Bnei Menashe Tribe from India, the 850,000 Jewish refugees from the Arab and Muslim worlds and their descendants which now make up half of the Israeli population, a large number of Russian Jews who were received at great effort and expense from the former Soviet Union, and currently there are increasing numbers coming from the Ukraine and France as well as numerous other places where Jews are feeling more and more threatened every day. Israel is a collection of Jews from over the entirety of the planet Earth and of every nationality imaginable. They live together with a large population of Christian and Muslim Arabs as well as other minorities including sizeable Kurdish and Baha’i communities all of whom share the bounties of Israel and have equal rights to vote, live, work, own land and businesses and are equal in every way. These are the peoples who make up the communities of Israel and are all facing the rockets from Hamas. Unbelievably, but true, at the very beginning of the current conflict both the wife of Mahmoud Abbas and the mother-in-law of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh were receiving treatment in Israeli hospitals. Both are well and recovering nicely. I am willing to bet those two little facts were pretty much ignored by the mainstream media, I wonder why? Perhaps they painted too sympathetic a picture of Israeli society and the realities that are actually true? Could not be, the media is always completely honest, right?
