Imagine with us for a minute if President Obama, United States Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power and the United Nations with its adoption of UNSC Res. 2334 were to be fully implemented as intended by these anti-Zionist and anti-Israel forces which include numerous anti-Semites and the 1949 Armistice Line were to become the border between Israel and an Arab Palestinian terror state ruled by one of three forces, Hamas with backing from the Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic State with solid Arab backing by Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States and who knows who else, or Hezballah backed fully by Iran. This is the official position of the Democrat Party and is what their new leadership with Democrat National Committee Chair Tom Perez and Deputy Chair Keith Ellison. This was the same position of Democrat Party Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton and the position held by the Democrat Leadership for the Women’s Marches against President Trump, pro-Palestinian, anti-Israeli Linda Sarsour and convicted Palestinian terrorist Rasmea Odeh. This is the position of leading Democrat Party people who are also Jews including but not limited to Bernie Sanders and Senator Chuck Schumer. We suspect that they would never desire to live under the same conditions they would have imposed upon the Israelis residing in Tel Aviv. We will ignore the fact that at the border, which they would have imposed, there are the Judean Hills which rise directly along the lines giving the Arab side oversight allowing them to directly observe the entire coastal plain laid out before them all the way to watching people on some of the beaches along the Mediterranean Sea. We will just ask them if they would allow some group of American hating terrorists to be given their own nation within the United States giving them the lands which comprise Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in Maryland. That would be the reality of the situation, a mere nine miles between the Capital Building and the Maryland suburbs is identical to the distance from the Judean Hills and the Mediterranean Sea which places all of Tel Aviv and the vast majority of Israeli infrastructure and production within that range.
Most major cities of the world would not be fit between the proposed border under UNSC Res 2334 of Israel and the Arab state it would create as its center as it averages a mere twelve miles and is only nine miles at its narrowest point (see map below). Ben Gurion International Airport would be within six miles, Tel Aviv under twelve and a half miles, and Netanya under nine miles with all within direct line of sight allowing for adjustment of rocket and mortar fire to be made easily from the many hilltops (see image depicted below). These examples give one a direct idea as to why Israel would face immediate destruction should it not control these areas with the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) and the story gets even worse in Jerusalem. From the taller buildings in East Jerusalem much of Western Jerusalem becomes subjected to direct sniper fire making crossing many streets dangerous. Entire areas of Jerusalem become uninhabitable. An entire ridge of apartments had to brick up their windows such that snipers would not gain targets at night when the lights on inside the apartment might throw shadows visible on curtains to regular sights or infrared sights which show heat signatures through curtains but are incapable of seeing through brick walls. Looking at the map below, Jerusalem sits at the end of a long narrow connecting corridor where the road and railways are often located between higher ground and in open terrain which should be obvious from the map immediately below. This means that Jerusalem could find itself cut off from the rest of Israel should the Arabs decide to risk a war through such an act. Cutting off Jerusalem and its suburbs from being supplied by the rest of Israel would be considered an urgent situation and a casus belli declaration of war requiring an immediate response by Israel.
The idea of an Arab state was not the intention of the Oslo Accord which delineated the Palestinian Authority be permitted an autonomous zone where they would enjoy political rights electing their own general leadership and city and town councils and mayors while remaining under Israeli dominion and with the IDF permitted operational dominion over their regions and be responsible for their defense. This would provide a situation where the Palestinian Authority would need little more than a policing force while Israel would be responsible for protecting them from any invaders such as Hezballah, Islamic State or other belligerent groups be they a national army or terror army. The Arabs west of the Jordan River must remain under Israeli control as there honestly is nowhere near sufficient room nor can there be drawn defendable borders between two independent nations west of the Jordan River reaching to the Mediterranean Sea. This is a reality which has become more and more true as weaponry has become more dangerous and capable of destruction which could make life on the coastal plains completely destroyable from the higher elevations if Judea and Samaria. This is why these areas must continue to be controlled by the IDF. The fact that the Arab Palestinians have yet to obey the conditions of any agreement they have entered with Israel and this is one further and major reason that Israel must not and cannot rely on any treaty or pact signed with the Palestinian Authority. They never altered their charter and it remains calling for the destruction of Israel and the end to the Jews residing there and continues to use their media, schools, road names, youth tournaments and park names to glorify terrorists and incite further violence against Israel. These are the realities which the world needs accept and realize the truth, the reality of the facts of the ground as well as on the ground. This is also why the settlements are a vital part of the defense of Israel as they control some of these vital highlands and also provide the IDF with places from which to organize their operations. Without the settlements the entirety of Judea and Samaria would become a deathtrap for the IDF troops operating within these areas as they would always be completely isolated and surrounded by potential enemies ready to ambush them at any moment.
Israel is not attempting to make any agreement impossible but Israel is also not about to commit suicide just because the world demands she do so. Israel has watched as the world continued to whittle away the lands she was promised starting with the seventy-eight percent of the Mandate Lands which were taken to form Jordan. Then there was the 1948-9 Arab War to Annihilate the Jewish State where Israel lost the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Judea and Samaria to Jordan. These lands were illegally occupied and Israel actually lost land in a war the world claims she won. In the Six Day War in June of 1967 Israel liberated these lands and also captured the Golan Heights and the Sinai Peninsula. When UNSC Res 242 demanded Israel return lands the demand was for Israel to return lands but not all the lands and that Israel was to retain defensible borders. If the world were dealing honestly, they would realize and reward Israel with the entirety of Judea and Samaria and allow the Jordan River to be the Israeli natural border to the east. With modern weaponry which Hamas has proven anyone can construct with simply a machine shop and a small chemical shop, Israel cannot allow such weaponry to be manufactured in Judea and Samaria and fired from the Judean heights down on Tel Aviv and the rest of the coastal plain where there is line of sight targeting. That is the reality and anybody who would simply visit and see the situation for themselves would, providing they desired to be honest and not actually desire Israel to die as the Jewish State and have her people slaughtered, see for themselves that there cannot be any Arab state formed in Judea and Samaria, ever. That is a simple and obvious truth.
