How American Jews Should Influence Israeli Politics

So, you either hate or love Bibi Netanyahu winning and likely forming a strong right-wing, Zionist, Religious coalition. There were four Jewish Congress-critters, Representatives Eliot Engel and Nita Lowey of New York, Ted Deutch of Florida, and Brad Schneider of Illinois, all Democrats, who came out strongly threatening Bibi Netanyahu against extending Israeli law to Jewish communities in Judea-Samaria. Well, that is all well and good for them to do as private citizens, but when doing so as representatives of other Americans and presuming to speak for Jews throughout the land, that is presumptuous to say the least. We are sure that in numerous leftist Synagogues there will be sermons and the usual gnashing of teeth that the Israeli people had the audacity to ignore the advice of their betters, after all, where would Israel be without American support. Well, let us address the so-called critical monetary support Israel receives from the United States once again (previous articles can be read here, here and here).

We will not go into the reason that America provides Israel with military aid as that can be read in any of the above articles. What need be told is the limitations on that aid money. The percentage has shifted over the years but seldom if ever dropping below three-quarters of the aid money being required to be spent on American equipment. The aid money has two main effects in theory. The first is to provide Israel with air superiority, something which has been downgraded slowly over the years to now it is closer to parity with the difference presumably made up for by the skill of the pilots, in theory. The second is to provide supplementary money for the American arms industry. Another effect, many refer to it as a side-effect, is that it makes Israel dependent upon the United States for resupply in times of crisis when Israel is between a rock and a hard place if not resupplied rapidly. President Nixon is loved in Israel for his resolute action during the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Israel initially lost a great deal of equipment and used a great deal of her provisions turning the tide. This left Israel short on armor such as APCs and tanks as well as running out of the very essential bullets. From history we know that then Secretary of State Henry Kissinger advised President Nixon to force Israel to promise to give all of the former West Bank and Gaza to form a Palestinian State before resupplying her with the vitally needed equipment. If we remember well, he may have said to make them bleed. Nixon, to his eternal credit, picked up the phone, called the Secretary of Defense and ordered him to provide Israel with everything they required and to do so with the greatest of speed. The next hurdle was Europe as every ally refused to permit any resupply aircraft heading to Israel to overfly their airspace, let alone land for refueling. Portugal permitted the United States to use their airfield on one of their islands in the Atlantic Ocean and the resupply arrived helping to save the day, you might say. After this near disaster, the United States placed one of their ready supply depots inside Israel in a location which is a well-guarded secret, probably which can be found using Google. The premise for this depot is should the United States be required to respond to an emergency, they could send troops and these arms could be made ready and provided faster than attempting to bring them from the mainland. The secondary reason for this depot is that should Israel find themselves pressed for provisions; they have access to this depot which will provide for the immediate while resupply can be arranged without the urgency as in 1973 where Israel came close to the disaster of losing one war. One need remember that should Israel lose a war, it will be the last war Israel fights as after that loss, there would be no Israel.

Now for some facts which are often met with disbelief. The United States has not always been Israel’s close friend and military ally. In fact, after President Harry Truman went against every advisor and recognized Israel in 1948, the next thing he did was place an arms embargo across the Middle East, Israel included. For the Arabs this was not a problem as they had the support of Britain, France and the Soviet Union. Israel had as her main ally Czechoslovakia. Israel did not receive much in the way of aid from the United States until the late 1960’s and not very appreciable aid until the 1970’s (see graph below). Two items become blatantly obvious when examining the graph. First, is that aid to Israel was nonexistent through all of the 1950’s and well into the 1960’s. Second, is that United States aid to Israel has leveled out at approximately three-billion dollars annually. This fact will become more relevant later in this article. As stated before, the vast majority of this aid must be spent inside the United States. Most of the funds goes for aircraft as might be expected with the next largest amount going for aircraft parts and munitions for those very same aircraft. But the United States receives far more than these orders which benefit keeping the American manufacturing of the weapons of war remaining in business as the demands of the United States Armed Forces would be insufficient to keep all the weapons manufacturers afloat. Israeli orders may not be the largest ticket, but it is not insignificant either.

United States Israel Aid (Military)

United States Israel Aid (Military)

We stated that the United States gets more than just the return of their investment in Israel with orders for arms production from the United States. Probably the two most famous are the Super Sherman Tank and the rear-view mirrors on the F-16 fighter jet which the Israelis noted the pilot was unable to see if there were any enemies at his six o’clock (behind him). The more modern addition of rear-view mirrors came about when Israeli pilots complained of having a vital blind-spot. Some industrious crew chief came up with the apparently bright idea of using sport mirrors he went and purchased at an automotive supply store which led to a design engineering change which incorporated rear-view mirrors on all F-16 fighter jets (see image below). The above mentioned are merely examples as Israel also has provided numerous improvements, modification and other forms of upgrades, not all of which were adopted by the United States. The Trophy anti-missile defense system is one such example and Israel is working on modified versions for use on other vehicles in cooperation with the United States (article here). Israel also designed some other improvements for other systems including upgraded avionics and targeting systems. Israel agrees with every purchase of American weapons systems to provide full documentation of any alterations, additions or other improvements for the United States to consider whether such would be useful on their own systems. Israel most recent upgrade was the use of the Iron Dome targeting software and related requirements which has upgraded the Patriot anti-missile systems, but this is not supposed to be common knowledge.

Back to the American aid provided to Israel. When the aid reached the three-billion dollars, this was fairly close to the total Israeli GDP and was essential for Israeli military capabilities. Today, that aid is approximately one-percent of Israeli GDP. What is amusing is both Israelis and American Jews believe that Israel could not survive without continued military assistance as Israel is incapable of affording her own military requirements. The truth is quite different. The main reason that the United States desires to continue this aid is no different than when it was first negotiated, they do not desire Israeli competition in the lucrative field of military aircraft. Back in 1970 it was to protect the sales of the F-16 while today the reason is likely to protect the existing F-35 and more likely whatever a sixth-generation fighter aircraft system might entail. By having Israel in continued dependence on American aircraft, the United States avoids yet another aircraft competing with their own. The rising costs of military fighter aircraft forced the Europeans to jointly produce their Eurofighter Typhoon, the world’s most advance fighter, according to their advertising. Israel would be well advised to adjust their dependence upon the United States militarily as their aid could become questionable under a new administration. For that reason and for the well-paying jobs which Israel would gain, adding to her GDP, are two very good arguments for Israel to plan on becoming self-sufficient when it comes to military equipment.

Now, for those American Jews who wish to force their will and policies upon Israel, we have some basic advice. Make Aliyah and then you can help to elect a Prime Minister and a governing coalition more to your liking. This advice comes with a warning, once you have made Aliyah and are living in a nation the size of New Jersey, and not one reaching from one ocean to another ocean, your views will rapidly become more realistic and fitting to your location. Currently, any advice or demands you place upon Israel do not have any effect on your day to day lives. When you are in Israel, let us say Tel Aviv, and you look to the west and can see the Judean Hills which you currently insist must belong to some Palestinian Arab state, you get this chill down your spine if you have any sense of military strategies. The picture below pretty much defines the result of a Palestinian State along the Green Line. This and the increasing rate of conflict and terrorism are a rude awakening but it is also why Israel seems to be moving more to the right despite the warnings from the left in the United States.

Tel Aviv Now Before Green Line Peace and Tel Aviv the Day After Green Line Peace

Tel Aviv Now Before Green Line Peace
and
Tel Aviv the Day After Green Line Peace

It is not that Israelis are not listening to their counterparts in the United States, we are. It is just we tend to consider it almost as much as we react to things staring us in the face, so to speak or literally. The last Gaza war, the only reason that buildings in Tel Aviv were not struck and toppling into the streets causing thousands of deaths was simple, the Iron Dome systems which were placed between Tel Aviv and Gaza. Their near miraculous interception rate of close to ninety-percent became the miracle of that war, but eventually a way of getting past the Iron Dome systems will be found and we can only pray that Israel has the next system which will make the Iron Dome obsolete will be ready in time. Israel lives on the knife’s edge with no lack of enemies attempting to press us down and cutting Israel until there is no Israel. Living surrounded by people who desire your complete and utter destruction tends to affect the choices you make when voting. Israel is the safety net for Jews, all Jews. We were the safety net when the Arab world expelled almost all of their Jews during the 1950’s and Israel will be the safety net should Jews anywhere, yes, including America, require finding a home with minimal notice. Israel will not ask if you have any wealth or a job waiting or even an Israeli passport, only that you are a Jew needing refuge. Israel will take such Jews in with open arms and welcome them home, nothing more and nothing less. Jews who believe that tragedy cannot come to the nation in which they live are ignoring Jewish history which should have taught us that nowhere remains safe for the Jews indefinitely. Yes, even the United States has had its time where Jews were evicted from their homes when General Grant ordered the expulsion of all Jews in his military district, comprising areas of Tennessee, Mississippi, and Kentucky. Sure, President Lincoln countermanded that order, but by the time the orders reached Washington D.C. and were reviewed and the countermand was returned to Grant, much of the damage had been done. With the rising anti-Semitism around the world, Israel as the safe haven for the Jewish People has become more important with every passing attack upon Jews anywhere. With Jews being assaulted in New York City, once a safe haven for Jews, what more evidence is required that things are changing. To quote Frank Sinatra, sort of, If it can make it in New York, it can make it anywhere. That is as true for anti-Semitic attacks and worse as well as it worked for Frankie. What counts, Representatives Eliot Engel and Nita Lowey of New York, Ted Deutch of Florida, and Brad Schneider of Illinois, is that Israelis elected a government which will protect them and provide the decisions they find favorable. Further, if the Palestinian Authority can extend their civil law to the regions under their control under the Oslo Accords, why should Israel be prevented from the exact same actions in the regions Israel was granted control by those very same Oslo Accords. If you feel so strongly that you know better than the Israeli public and their chosen governance, then make Aliyah and form a party and run for the Knesset here on those very same ideas. We would wish you luck with your views in an Israeli election, but it is in Israel that you need be to exact the changes you desire for Israel, not in Washington D.C. We would welcome you with open arms, just come here and then you can work to make Israel in your own image. In the meantime, until you make Aliyah, allow us the privilege of electing whom we choose and have them fulfill the promises for which they received so much support. Thank you in advance for your understanding and hoped for making Aliyah so we can discuss this on equal grounds.

A Revolution Under Media Silence

Can a revolution happen if the media refuses to cover it? This may be answered in the not too distant future. The media has been doing its best to ignore the uprisings in Iran. The people of Iran are completely fed up with their leadership and are demanding change. There have been recent protests of varying size in the Iranian cities of Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad and Tehran driven by concerns over the economy as well as wider anger at the political system. In a rare CBS News reported, they disclosed that in Isafan, marchers shouted “death to the dictator,” before appearing to set fire to police cars. These protests have been gaining strength sparking across Iran as a nationwide anti-government movement starting last December continuing sporadically in varying points since. The driving causes include the 12.5% unemployment rate, the plunging worth of their money where the Rial has dropped to 122,000 to the dollar as well as their desire for an end to the theocracy replacing it with open democratic governance. The Rial has lost half its value against the dollar in just four months. Even some hardliners have called for new elections or for Rouhani’s civilian government to be replaced by a military-led one though they have no desire to replace the Supreme Leader the Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The leaders of Iran have a completely different view of the effects and who is to blame. The problem, according to a statement from Radio Farda last Sunday claimed, the central bank alleged the Rial’s drop was the result of foreign conspiracies and said the currency’s weakness against the dollar was not a reflection of “economic realities.” “Recent developments in the gold and forex markets are part of the conspiracies hatched by the country’s enemies in order to agitate the economy and rob the people of their psychological security.” The Tasnim News Agency reported spokesman Bahram Qassemi as saying referring to talks, “The US or parts of the US may express wishes, but after the illegal withdrawal from the JCPOA and their hostile policies and push for economic pressure on the Iranian nation, I think there is no such issue.” Meanwhile, the US is set to restore its full range of sanctions in two stages on August 6, 2018, and November 4, 2018, forcing many foreign firms to cut off business with Iran. The real Iranian leadership appears willing to allow the “elected” government to fall taking the blame but the structure of the ruling Ayatollahs will remain unshaken and remain in control facing the unrest within the population.

Iranian Protests Against Supreme Leader

Iranian Protests Against Supreme Leader

These protests resemble those from 2009 in that they are calling for replacing the entirety of their governance starting with the Supreme Leader and the rest of the Ayatollahs replacing them with a secular democracy and complete separation between religion and government. They desire a return to secular rulership and desire a Western style democracy free of the Islamic totalitarianism. The government has claimed that these protests are the result of external agitators who are spreading discontent and lies and that those who take part in demonstrations are breaking the rule of law. There have been scattered reports on social media that the police have used live fire to break up some of the protests with a number of protesters being murdered with many others being arrested. If these protests result in similar results to the 2009 protests, then there will be a point when violence will become the standard reaction from the government where numbers of demonstrators will be mowed down in the streets and thousands, even tens of thousands, will be arrested with the majority not ever being heard from again and any attempt to attain information about these individuals will be met with silence. This time around, it has been reported that a good percentage of the protesters have been women with some in the leadership and the protesters cross all levels of the population from students to merchants and tradesmen.

What is also new to these demonstrations have been the direct threats to the Ayatollahs as there have been chants of, “Death to the Ayatollah!” The Daily Mail online has a rather extensive set of videos covering the Iranian protests, and from these videos the word protest could easily be used to mean riots, and show some of the injured individuals with some graphic content. These protests are spreading and are in their fourth consecutive day despite the attempts to break up their unity using tear gas, water cannons and as reported in some instances live fire. The Iranians are pretty much ready to take whatever risks and losses it may require regaining their freedom, the very freedom, which the Ayatollahs had promised in 1979, a promise which was quickly eclipsed by their totalitarian rule and iron fist enforcement. Iran is facing the same story we have seen time and again, the people revolt against what they saw as an imperialist leader, the Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and accepted the perceived savior, the Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini whose return to Iran and rise to power was supported by the United States as President Jimmy Carter extolled the greatness of this wonderful man of religion and deep faith. Almost immediately after raking power, Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini allowed “students” to storm the United States Embassy taking fifty-two American diplomats and citizens were held hostage for 444 days from November 4, 1979, to January 20, 1981, and the inauguration of President Ronald Reagan.

The Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini also took complete dictatorial power under the thin veneer of an elected Parliament where only approved candidates were permitted to be entertained on the ballot and a President who would act as his official receptacle of blame allowing the Supreme Leader to remain perceived as perfect with the elected Parliament and President being the reason for all misfortune. Soon after the new government settled in the Ayatollahs instituted a second military just as powerful and as well armed, if not superior in numbers and arms, called the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which would “keep the peace” in times of unrest as in 2009, as well as be responsible for spreading the revolution across the Middle East and the world. The IRGC assisted and armed Hezballah in Lebanon making it the equal or better than the Lebanese army. Hezballah now commands the Lebanese Army and has complete use of its United States provided arms which were upgraded by President Barack Obama knowing these arms were actually going to Hezballah, have trained Islamic Jihad and Hamas in Gaza, assisted and armed the Houthis in Yemen, carried out the March 17, 1992, bombing of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires which resulted in twenty-nine civilians being killed and two-hundred-forty-two additional civilians were injured as well as the July 18, 1994, Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA) bombing which resulted in killing 85 people and injuring more than three-hundred others (see image below). There probably are other terrorist acts and attempts at undermining nations traceable to the IRGC and even if not, just give them enough time.

The Ayatollahs also instituted the Basij militias who were used extensively in the decade long war between Iran and Iraq under Saddam Hussein. These Basij militias were utilized as the Ayatollahs’ shock troops and during the 2009 uprising were sent into the dorms of the universities to hunt down the leadership of the protests and persuade them to cease their activities sometimes resulting in their terminating the instigating students. The 2009 abortive revolution, also called the Persian Awakening, Persian Spring or Green Revolution, was over the perceived, if not actual, overthrow of the people’s choice at the poles where the majority was believed to have elected the opposition candidate, either Mir-Hossein Mousavi or Mehdi Karroubi, and the Ayatollahs candidate of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was announced the winner. Whether or not he actually won is inconsequential, as the protesters believed he lost by a sufficient margin that they perceived this as nothing short of a repudiation of their votes. The protests were violently put down using the Basij Militias and IRGC forces where hundreds, if not thousands, were mowed down in the streets with many thousands arrested with a good proportion ending up in Evin Prison from which most never returned and all record of their eventual end left hanging as a mystery. Evin Prison is infamous for being where political prisoners are sent, tortured and eventually killed or die as a result of their treatment and also as a black hole where people go in and nothing comes out and even information appears to disappear along with the people who entered. During the entirety of the Green Revolution and its violent suppression, President Barack Obama continued in his negotiations with the Iranian government saying nothing about their actions and simply politely pursuing what would eventually become the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) which is the nuclear agreement which President Trump recently pulled the United States support. The one important point is this was ended up being called a Presidential Agreement and was never a treaty, thus as President, Trump decided that the Presidency of the United States no longer agreed.

This brings us to the least favorite part where we predict what is likely to occur. Despite the fact that the Ayatollahs represent at most thirty percent and likely more like fewer than twenty percent of the population of Iran, they possess the vast majority of the firearms and definitely the most powerful weaponry, such as tanks and aircraft. The end result of these protests, especially if they should grow as we suspect they will, will come down to which side the Iranian Army, which is supposedly secular and somewhat independent of the Ayatollah unlike the IRGC troops who answer directly to the Supreme Leader the Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, decide to support and upon their choosing the people, assuming that is their decision, also the decisions of individual policemen who might also side with the people and who would be capable of arming people more directly than even the military as they are on the front lines and know who to trust should they side against the Ayatollah. Should the Army, as in 2009, decide to sit on the sidelines and do nothing, then the people face an impossible mountain to climb. The Ayatollahs have stated that they would attack Israel or the United States even if doing so guaranteed the return strike would decimate Iran, as they believe that after such events that their revolution to make Shia Islam the ruling power in this world would become true to honor their national martyrdom. With such an attitude, do you really believe that the lives of the people they rule actually matter to them. The only lives that matter to the Ayatollahs are those who support the revolution where Shia Islam eventually comes to rule the world, all else is inconsequential and may as well be dead to them. People who are in the streets demanding new governance are exactly the people who are superfluous bodies to the cause of the Ayatollahs and as such are unnecessary. The Ayatollahs very possibly would look at the protesters as people who are unnecessary baggage and a drain on resources which could be better spent on nuclear weapons and more missiles and other things which could be used to fight the war in Syria, arm Hezballah, Islamic Jihad, Hamas and the Houthis and any others who are spreading the Iranian revolution to the remainder of the world. The Ayatollahs do not place much worth on their own lives as they do not expect to see this glorious revolution through to its end, but they do believe that they can save Iran from its people even if such requires a purging of the population. This is the threat the protesters are facing and it is a serious threat. Unless the Iranian military comes to the defense of the people, their attempts at change will die in the streets right beside them. The only other hope for these protests would be outside intervention such as the United States did in Iraq. That is going to be next to impossible because the last thing President Trump wants is to use the United States military in another Middle East conflict. Of course, there is always the possibility of a miracle, and that is about what it will take for an uprising by the people of Iran to succeed.

The Media and Their Lies are Starting to Upset Us

We sat down and started our regular discussion before setting words to media and realized that after what we read about the Gaza War was just too upsetting for us to write anything calmly. We thought things through and decided that we would be better served to sleep on this and not write it while tempers were still flared. We apologize for our delaying reporting but we just need to simmer and calm before writing. As stated by Falstaff after feigning death and thus avoiding Prince Hal’s judgement in Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part I, “The better part of Valor, is Discretion; in the which better part, I have saved my life.” Our discretion may be saving our being hosted here on WordPress as what we want to say in the heat of the moment would prove disastrous in the end, so we will return to this article when heads have cooled and thought gelled into a presentable reaction and assessment of the pure bile, hatred and lies spilling out of the media and we will write this before reading anything further just to be capable of remaining in a clamed state. Until then, and until this is posted, thank you all for your reading support.

The level of animosity in the reporting of the “peaceful” protests along the Gaza border with Israel has been inundated with falsehoods. The pictures show families holding picnics, men in rows in prayer, a tent serving drinks and food and numerous other innocuous activities. Some have shown the smoke screen produced through the burning of thousands of tires. Other pictures show people protesting as if they were marching with Martin Luther King for equal rights. These protests have been reported as being against the Israeli occupation of Gaza. Everything above is a compilation of lies. The easiest to pick apart is the presumed reports of an Israeli occupation of Gaza. Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, a full two years before Hamas violently took charge of Gaza by violently overthrowing the Palestinian Authority governance. Israel had no part in this battle for rule over Gaza. The Palestinian Authority lost a civil war with Hamas and Hamas has ruled Gaza ever since. For everybody’s benefit, the blockade of Gaza began once Hamas took control over Gaza in order to prevent the importation of heavy weapons. The intention was to prevent Hamas from importing weapons as the PLO had attempted with the Karine A weapons ship which Israel intercepted revealing the arms shipment which was attempted to be smuggled into Gaza when the PLO controlled the region before Hamas (see image below). Hamas would have such ships arriving as regularly as they were able had Israel not taken it upon herself to monitor the items being shipped into Gaza. The blockade that the Europeans get all fussy over often gets the aid that is actual aid into Gaza by trucks the same day or the next day. Some items are not permitted into Gaza such as certain metals which are used to produce rockets and firing tubes. Cement is only permitted for rebuilding buildings and the vast majority of that cement is stolen by Hamas to build tunnels which is why no school or hospital has been built in Gaza for many years and why so many of the apartments have not been rebuilt. The fact is that Hamas uses over forty percent of all production in making bunkers and infiltration tunnels all with the intent to destroy Israel. These protests are the latest Hamas weapon against Israel, their own people.

Arms Attempted to be Smuggled on the Katrine A

Arms Attempted to be Smuggled on the Katrine A

What you are not being told is about the kites being flown over the Israeli border with incendiary devices tied into their tails with the intent of setting fires over the border. They have brandished swastika flags along with the Palestinian Flag and if you look closely at the swastika kite, the bottom of the tail has an incendiary device attached (see image below). These are images from Gaza that unless you comb media, particularly Israeli and, oddly enough, Arab media where the reality is represented without any political mendacity in order to make Israel the problem and not reveal the Hamas as terrorists with the murder of Israelis as their intention. The first day of the Gaza rioting Hamas sent a child, a young seven year old girl, across the border near the start of the border violence likely hoping she might be shot in the confusion. The IDF recognized the figure approaching was a young child and took care to see that she was unharmed and found her parents returning her unharmed and hopefully not traumatized by the ordeal. This is far from the first time that children have been used in terror operations. One recently became a darling of the leftists and many Europeans when the Israelis finally were permitted by Israeli laws to arrest Ahed Tamimi as she was finally of age to be considered and tried as an adult. She was arrested for kicking and striking an IDF soldier while doing all she was able to prevent his performing his assignment, something she had been doing since she was a young child while her father would record every confrontation hoping to get any shot which could be used to portray the IDF in a bad light. One can imagine her shock when the same disruptive and violent attacks on IDF soldiers finally resulted in her arrest after over ten years of doing the same thing undisturbed by paying any price. Immediately her picture with her stylishly wild and curly hair became the pin-up girl of the Israel is a monster groups and she was such a hero standing up to those monstrous IDF soldiers. Let us take into consideration that after over a decade of such activity, after finally reaching the age of responsibility, Ahed Tamimi was finally arrested for her actions. She was not shot, she did not require medical services as she was simply arrested and done so with the least amount of violence as required to arrest a sixteen year old girl who was kicking, screaming, spitting, scratching, biting and doing everything in her power to cause just one IDF soldier to get pushed to the point of using even the slightest of violence as her mother, a cousin and others surrounded her and the soldiers recording every action hoping for that perfect picture which might make it appear undue violence was used. For the record, her mother was also arrested for attacking the same IDF soldiers while they were performing their duty. The Tamini family gave the media a completely different story to the media that the IDF came seeking a confrontation and threatened to attack their home. Their darling daughter was merely protecting their home, for the past decade attacking IDF soldiers for a living. She was given a minimal sentence which many thought a travesty with some thinking she got off easy and others believing she was arrested unlawfully. We will leave this to our audience to figure out which loved and supported Israel and which were in Europe protesting her arrest and damning Israel. These are the same claiming Israel is reacting with disproportional force to peaceful protests and not protecting their border from terrorist infiltration.

Swastika Kite and Flag with Palestinian Flags

Swastika Kite and Flag with Palestinian Flags

The Gaza rioting and attempted invasion of Israel has proven to be very revealing. We, all of us, can use these protests and the reactions to them as a measuring device. Those who are protesting that Israel is overreacting and that these protests are simply peaceful with any reports of violence being misrepresentations and that the only violence has been committed by the IDF can be counted as always being anti-Israel. Those supporting Israel one will find that they have already been supporting Israel and have braved the slings and arrows of outrageous accusation by the other group. These two sides live on other sides of what appears to be an uncrossable line as it appears that almost all those who have chosen one side or the other, will remain on their original side of that divide. Once with Israel, always with Israel and once against Israel always against Israel, that appears to almost be a law. One Israel supporter who has proven invaluable has been Colonel Richard Kemp who can be heard at the Gaza border describing what he as a highly experienced military background and knowledge of the laws of warfare and their applications to modern anti-terror military activities to explain the situation here. We apologize for the wind interference, but when in the desert, weather may not always cooperate. Colonel Kemp recognizes that the Hamas effort is to use civilians as weapons to breach the border and then use such a breach through which to push their terror forces. To get this accomplished, they have sent terrorists armed with knives, firearms, wire cutters and other instruments to either engage the IDF or breach the border fence. The fact is that thusfar the vast majority, approaching 85% or more, of those killed have been Hamas or Islamic Jihad terrorist operatives, as admitted by Hamas. The means by which Israel has been capable of picking out the terrorists and those who have been actively attempting to breach the border is astonishingly accurate which has produced this almost unbelievably high level of shooting only actual terrorists. As for those others, how many were aiding in breaching the border versus those who may have been innocent are figures we are unable to verify or even produce at this time, but the percentage of terrorists was verified by the leaders of Hamas on their television channel (see video below). You cannot hope for better than Hamas spokesperson on their television channel supporting that over 80% of those killed, fifty out of sixty-two, especially when you add the three which Islamic Jihad claimed as their terror operatives, and these figures may not be the complete story as their may be others who are attempting to be heroes by aiding the terror efforts and also been targeted, and this we may never know as the IDF will not release such information as they do not wish to reveal their methods. Every nation’s military has their methods and these methods will be kept as guarded secrets. The IDF is no different. The way the IDF is different is they honestly take great care to not kill innocents to as much an extent as any military could possibly manage. They have set the standard so high that military high officials from Western militaries have complained that the IDF has set the standards too high for them to meet. They have sent officers to learn the techniques used by the IDF to assure that they not target civilians while still being effective and most have concluded that the IDF methods cannot and will not be adopted by their military forces as they refuse to place their soldiers in such peril by utilizing the warning systems used by the IDF.

The horrifying thought behind this display of indifference for their people by Hamas is that it could become the tactic by the Palestinian Authority and Israel’s Arab neighbors. The thought of hundreds of thousands of innocent people driven by their governments to attempt and swarm the Israeli border is absolutely horrifying. The other problem is that this kind of attitude is rewarded by the European Union, the United Nations and demonstrators the world over through their decrying the presumed loss of innocent lives when the vast majority of those killed have been terrorists. The furtherance of this problem is fanned by the media and their lies which have become legion. Nowhere are they reporting that Hamas is paying families between one hundred and three hundred dollars per day depending on their level of participation with those rushing the border fence paid the most. Further, they are paying families from three hundred to five hundred dollars for being injured in order to maximize the people reporting injuries and they are paying five hundred dollars minimum per individual reported killed per family. These remunerations are being paid simply to increase the numbers reported killed and injured as well as to maximize the numbers at least appearing near the border and even encourages youths to rush the border even though they may be killed as their family is paid more for their approaching the fence and if they are injured they get more and if killed, at least they know their family will receive the maximum amount of payment. This is another item being ignored by the world media all so as to make the protests appear to be homegrown and not paid for and with those coming just for the minimum payment, they provide the background pictures of families having lunch as part of their protest or the men all praying and the myriad of other pictures depicting an almost party attitude. This is not a party, not a picnic lunch and nothing but an attempt to swarm the Israeli border. What does Hamas hope to accomplish? Either they swarm the border and get beyond the IDF and are able to murder hundreds if not thousands of Israelis after which the world will mourn the dead Jews as they always do after refusing to protect their rights to life. The other possibility is the IDF refuses to allow swarms to pour into Israel killing Israelis and instead they open fire to stop the people pouring through a breach and Hamas has pictures of hundreds of dead Arabs for the European and American media to portray the IDF as vicious killers. Either alternative Hamas will accept as a great victory, one dead Israeli and the other a propaganda bonanza. Either way Israel loses as we wish not to have to kill innocent Arabs which will attempt to pour through the fence and would then murder or severely injure any Israeli they came upon. That is the reason the IDF would have no other choice but to use everything in their capability to prevent such an eventuality. Hamas will continue to attempt to breach the border for as long as there are useful idiots cheering them on across Europe and North America. The sooner the developed world tires of this story, the safer the border will become for Jew and Arab alike. May that day come soon and may the world finally wake up to the foolishness their hatred of Israel is driving them. One last note, hatred of Israel for Gaza while not making a peep about the Syria slaughter of Palestinians and other Arabs or the Turkish mowing down Kurdish men, women and children in northern Syria or the murders going on daily across the Africa Transition Zone has a name, it goes with choosing only Israel to condemn, and it is called anti-Semitism by every measure.
