Lamenting the Palestinian Lack of Statehood

Two world leaders have come out recently lamenting their failure to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Their words, or the way my ears heard and eyes read their statements made me feel they were more lamenting the lack of a Palestinian State and the fact they were unable to diminish Israel greatly, if not completely, in the making of such a state. Of course the two were President Obama and Secretary General Ban ki-Moon. As we have beaten President Obama’s anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic feelings to such an extent as to make a bronze statue to the man, let us instead play with the soon to be ex-Secretary General’s statements and the lack of validity or value in them. Actually one almost has to feel for the man, who had ruled through a decade of opening auditory lamentations against Israel at opening ceremonies for the General Assembly, ten years of “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People” and the complete series of Durban World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance which could also have been called the let’s pretend that Israel is the cause of all the world’s problems from hunger to lack of water to the endlessly revolving around the sun going nowhere conferences. Still, the poor man from South Korea is listing the inability to form a Palestinian state as the main failure of his time at the United Nations and not the complete meltdown of the Middle East, the loss of two nations, Syria and Libya, into roiling cauldrons of suffering and death, and the rise of anti-Semitism worldwide to epidemic levels and the beginning stages of destabilization of near the entirety of Europe all accomplished with the inept leadership, or lack thereof, of the United States and most of Europe where liberal progressivism has run unchecked all but succeeding in their aim to end borders and encourage loss of definition of the word nation. Actually, the decline of Europe may be seen as credit to his ability to actually accomplish some great achievement during his decade as Secretary General. Well, we all should vie to feel good about ourselves and see something as an accomplishment even if it may mean the end of civilization as we know and define it.

Secretary General Ban ki-Moon stated, “It has strengthened radicals and weakened moderates on both sides. Making matters worse is a dangerous vacuum within the international community as crises elsewhere claim the attention of world leaders.” Imagine the chutzpah of the man stating the obvious that there exist “crises elsewhere claim the attention of world leaders” and finding that a deficiency as it will establish “a dangerous vacuum within the international community” in which Israel skates free from the constant pounding he must feel they deserve for not committing suicide at his behest. Ban ki-Moon’s self-flagellation came on cue at the United Nation’s annual “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People,” held every November 29th which just happens to actually be the day when the partition for the formation of Israel was decided, the even division of the lands between the Jordan River and Mediterranean Sea granting the Arabs the choice lands and giving Israel lands consisting of over two-thirds being Negev Desert yet still the Arab League refused the settlement and instead made plans to invade Israel on the very morning of her independence. That day, Israeli Independence Day and the first day of the initial war to annihilate the Jewish State which took two years to fail, though it did manage to wrest the lands of Gaza, Judea and Samaria (Gaza and West Bank by Jordanian naming), was also renamed by the Arabs as Naqba Day, the day they failed to murder the Jewish homelands. The Arabs should thank Israel and the Jews as we have given them two of the Palestinian Arabs biggest holidays, Naqba Day and United Nation’s annual “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.” But let us get into the minutia of these supposed failures.

Ban ki-Moon and all the Palestinian Arabs and their multitudes of supporters from around the world and loudest on Europe, well, next to the flame fanning by the Palestinian Arabs themselves (especially recently but it finally rained) all could have at any point followed through on their desires to force the issue and bring everything before the World Court for final arbitration and let the best side win. Of course they would never think of holding a factual and legal hearing for reaching a decision knowing that their lies play so much better in the world media and across the many platforms where the world stage is carried out. Demanding the destruction of the Jews is the longest running show on the world’s stage and yet such has never succeeded, but not for lack of trying. The world need understand that Israel is going nowhere as we are here to stay, period, end of discussion. But if you insist, please do take your show before the World Court and plead your case. You can invite Mahmoud Abbas and his cohort of criminals who have made a business of robbing their subjects blind squirrelling away billions of dollars and Euros, the Arab League, leaders from Europe and around the world and give each their hour on the stage to conduct their version of events, promises and that which must be because they wish it and then Israel will simple, silently present her case using actual documents. The first document will be the San Remo Resolution followed by the Treaty of Sèvres and the Treaty of Lausanne all topped off by Article 80 of the United Nations Charter which states that the Mandate System set up by these previous treaties will be enforced and recognized by the United Nations as will all treaties made under the authority of the League of Nations. But we understand that it is far more satisfying deriding the Jewish State day in and day out than it is actually living up to promises and solving the problem that just keeps on giving. How else would the world bodies and leaders dump on Israel if there were no evil designs to accuse the Jews of having committed?

The favorite statements are the ones where the claim is that the Palestinians only desire the lands gained by Israel resulting from their defending themselves from Jordanian invasion where Israel liberated the lands occupied by Jordan for the nineteen years since the 1948 War to exterminate the Jewish State which should have been the end of any discussion. This is the lie and every last political charlatan tells ad-nauseum to the point that this particular Big Goebbelsian Lie has become accepted fact, but it will never stand up to close scrutiny which is why the plight of the Arab Palestinians will never be taken before an actual tribunal. Mahmoud Abbas has stated repeatedly, as had Yasser Arafat before him, that the Arabs will never recognize Israel as the State for the Jewish People. This is simply his repeating the findings of the Khartoum Resolution which included the “Three No’s”: “no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel.” The truth of the intentions of the Palestinian Arab leadership now, past and future can be interpreted from the textbooks with which they train their children for total war against Israel and the Jews and steep them in a continual immersion of hatreds and fill them with lies. But please do not take our word for this and instead take some time at your leisure and read a concise report which includes actual copies of lessons and other important inclusions in these texts named A 25 Page Exec Summary: Jews and the Jewish State in Schoolbooks Used by UNRWA: De-legitimization, Demonization and Indoctrination to War.

There is one final set of refutations which need be presented. The first is the numbers of refugees. From 1948 through 1967 the total number of Arabs who became refugees, many simply leaving on their own volition and at the behest of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Mohammed Amin al-Husseini (Arabic: محمد أمين الحسيني‎‎) who promised them that Israel would be destroyed by the invading armies from at least a half dozen Arab nations within a few days of their 1948 invasion intended as a genocide of the Jews and they would gain a share of all the Jew’s treasures, came out slightly under one-million and the number of Jews becoming refugees thrown from their homelands in Arab and Muslim lands where many of their families had resided for hundreds if not over a thousand years (not including those from Europe after World War II who are a different almost one-million) also totaled just under one-million thus nearly equal (there were approximately seventy-five-thousand to as much as two-hundred-thousand more Jews but about the same numbers resettled in Israel as there were Arabs losing their lands for numerous reasons). The difference is Israel welcomed their brothers and sisters to Israel and settled them and they and their families live productive lives as full citizens of Israel as do the Arabs who either remained or managed after the 1948-9 war returned to their lands within Israel escaping attempts to lock them away as political weapons in refugee camps by their Arab brothers and sisters. Then the Arab League demanded a separate entity to care for the Arab refugees and their own rules which allowed for the refugee status to become a caste label passing from parent to child on from generation to generation forever. Had the Arabs cared as much for their fellow Arabs as much as the Jews did for their fellow Jews there would have been no refugee situation. On the other hand, had the Israelis done as the Arabs had with their fellow Arabs there would likely be just as many Jews as refugees today as there are Palestinian Arab refugees.

There are other lies told and accepted around the world. The next biggest is that Israel is carrying out a war of extermination, a genocide against the Palestinian Arabs. How the numbers of Palestinian Arabs went from under one million to approximately five to as high as seven and a half million while being exterminated by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) begs the question of how such could happen. Is the IDF really that incompetent that there are five to ten times as many Palestinian Arabs today as their were in 1948 despite the supposed attempts by Israel to wipe them out. Trust there is absolutely no plan to murder Palestinian Arabs as a whole except to defend Israel and Israelis from assaults by terrorists. There is also the claim that the Arabs have not been permitted to vote in Israeli elections. This is both a falsehood and misdirection. The Arabs who reside in Israel are Israeli citizens and are permitted full rights including the vote and there are Arab Israelis elected to the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament. The Palestinian Arabs have not had an election since 2005 as in Gaza Hamas rules in a dictatorial manner and will not permit elections for fear of losing their hold to Islamic Jihad, Fatah or other forces and in Judea and Samaria Fatah has refused under Mahmoud Abbas to hold elections as they also fear losing power. One has to remember that Mahmoud Abbas is President of the Palestinian Authority (PA) and the Chairman of the Fatah Party and also the Chairman of the PLO and only permits election in the Fatah Party by the Executives who are all Abbas appointees thus guaranteeing his being renamed as Chairman and refuses to risk his other positions. So, one might ask why the Palestinian Arabs are not voting in Israeli elections. The answer is simply, they are not Israeli citizens but PA citizens residing in a semiautonomous area within Israel having their own form of self-government. Allowing them to vote in Israeli elections would be the same as permitting Canadians vote in the United States elections because they reside in North America too. Further, has the PA desired to actually have a state they were offered 94% of the West Bank, half of Jerusalem and all of Gaza by Ehud Barak in 2001 at the Taba Summit which were the culmination of almost three years of negotiations which finally failed and then a similar offer was proffered by Ehud Olmert in 2007 which was also rebuffed by Abbas et al and thus could have had their state simply by agreeing with these which have been the most generous offers to date. The main reasons that Abbas has refused these offers for a Palestinian Arab state is simply, he also demands that between five and eight million Arab refugees be permitted to take up residence not in their Palestinian state but in Israel with full citizenship and financial assistance in order to make reparations for their refugee status and suffering at the hands of their fellow Arabs. What many people are unaware of is that there is a large Palestinian refugee camp outside Gaza City and another outside Nablus, the PA operational capital city. Both of these camps like the others separate Arabs from Arabs with those outside the barbed wire free citizens while those inside the barbed wire are refugees. In all too many cases there are members of the same family residing on opposite sides of the barbed wire with one part free and the other heavily guarded as they are held by fellow Arabs as a weapon with which to destroy Israel, the real target of every Palestinian Arab policy. Their desire for a state is for the destruction of the Jewish State of Israel and once they have destroyed Israel and genocidally murdered every Jew, then the land will likely be turned back to wildlands such as those visited by Sam Clemens in 1887 before the British began importing Arabs in numbers to prevent a Jewish majority population coming into fruition allowing for the formation of Israel.

The final item is how best to solve this situation with the least amount of upheaval and ending the continued and ever more dangerous violence due to terrorism and rockets raining down on Israeli towns, cities, kibbutzim and other civilian areas. The fastest and likely most likely to succeed would be for Israel to annex all of Judea and Samaria setting up a semi-autonomous area where the Arabs who desire independence from Israeli rule would elect their own governance but without an actual state. Those wishing not to live within Israel should be free to find some place they would feel more comfortable and Israel provide for a period fiscal assistance which could be utilized to resettle with an understanding that acceptance of the financial assistance would preclude their ever returning to reside in Israel. Those Arabs residing within the autonomous zone but preferring to become Israeli full citizens would be required to go through a set of courses and prove proficiency with those teachings and need sign a loyalty oath. They should have been known to them that should any member of their family ever aid terrorism in any form they would lose their citizenship permanently and potentially face deportation. Anyone committing or aiding the commission of a terrorist act would subject their family to a hearing where it would be determined how many would face deportation for knowing of the attack and not preventing said attack. Israel would review all materials used in classrooms and schooling and curriculum would be required to have the same standards for subjects as are demanded of all Israeli schools. Israeli history with its Zionist roots and the British manipulations of the situation would be taught as is in other Israeli schools. The same matriculation exams would be given with the same expectations for student accomplishment would be used for graduation and all other uses as in Israeli schools. Those Arabs preferring to reside as a citizen in the semiautonomous zone would vote in Arab elections and forgo voting rights in Israeli elections. All would be granted voting rights for the city within which they reside as well as any community governance. Only Israeli citizens would be permitted the vote in national Israeli elections just as only citizens of the semiautonomous zone would be permitted the vote in their general elections. All residents within the Israeli lands would be held to comply with Israeli laws and would be tried in Israeli courts for any breach of Israeli law. The semiautonomous zone could also set up their own courts for only those citizens of their semiautonomous region. Any legal difference between a citizen of Israel and citizen of the semiautonomous zone will be heard in an Israeli court of law and by the law. Finally, Areas A and B could come under the control of the semiautonomous zone while the bulk of Area C will remain an integral part of Israel (see map above).

A Few Things on My Mind

We may as well get the easy part before making some upset. Talking about making people upset, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon appears to have decided better to upset the Zionists than the Arabs and Muslims after all there are a mere fourteen to fifteen million Jews and half of them are not Zionists and a fair number of that non-Zionist group are ardently anti-Israel themselves and there are well over a hundred times as many Muslims of which probably seventy to eighty percent would love to see Israel gone and the Jews along with them. Well, perhaps United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon should take a stroll over to CCNY’s History Department and ask them about some of the other peoples whose leaders decided to side against the Jews and Israel and how they fared as there were almost always under twenty-five million Jews in the world thanks to our dedication to raising moderate size families and seeking quality in our children over sheer numbers and it has worked well. Just to assist him since the only one empire that once almost persecuted the Jews, but that failed as the Queen was a Jew and the King really loved his Queen so when Esther demanded that if Haman wished to murder every Jew in the Persian Empire on the morrow, then he should start with her. This did not work well for Haman and his assistants, his sons, as they hung on the gallows they had prepared and Jews celebrate Queen Esther and her Uncle Mordechai who raised her on Torah. But alas, Persia changed their name to Iran and apparently do not remember their own history. This is proven as they are allowing Cyrus the Great’s tomb to be submerged under the waters of a dam rather than take the care to move it to higher ground; their reasoning is he ruled long before Islam so he does not matter. Iran will pay the same price as Haman if they remain blind to their past and that Cyrus was the Great because of his conquests over the Babylonians and that he feared Hashem and granted the Jews to return to their homelands and rebuild their Temple to Hashem and to make the daily sacrifices as spelled out in Torah and to remember his fair treatment.

Cyrus the Great’s Tomb

Cyrus the Great’s Tomb

He perhaps had heard of the amazing event which drove Nebuchadnezzar II to understand where true power resides as he had three of the Jews; Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who refused to bow before him or his idol nor worship his gods, to be incinerated in the fiery furnace. During their trial they answered the charges in their defense stating, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up” (Daniel 3:15-18). They were thrown into the furnace atop the timbers and flames which consumed them and only their prayers were heard and as the flames burned their brightest they walked from within the flames without even a singed strand on the ropes which held their robes and with an angel of the L0rd some said could be seen behind them as they emerged before it faded and vanished.

But Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon is a hard and stubborn man who has perhaps too much faith in the presumed power of his position. He is also likely smitten by the spreading virus infecting too many so-called people of discernment, this virus is known as the BDS Movement which demands that Israel and her people be cast low through economic measures of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions and also demands during protests that companies which do business with the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) or any companies which are located in contested areas or who do business with such companies or whose workers live in these areas (translated simply anything Israeli as such terms are easily broadened as these have grown at times from a far more limited boycott which started against Caterpillar for selling Israel some heavy bulldozers which had been used to take down terrorist houses and for clearing a zone near a border fence, the same area that Egypt had since taken over and widened to almost a kilometer in places as they grew tired of being shot upon).
This BDS virus bears a uncanny resemblance to another virus named anti-Semitism. As these BDS Movement proponents have no such campaign against China over Tibet, occupied since 1951 after being overrun in 1950, with China setting up a puppet government which then surrendered Tibet to the Chinese. As such, the Chinese claim they did not conquer Tibet. Tibet petitioned to become a province though the Dali Lama, the one born in Tibet, not the one China appointed in his stead, has a wholly different point of view on this history despite its imaginative manner to conquer a nation.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon really should check with the Philistines, Assyrians, Greeks, Romans, Babylonians, Byzantines or any of the others who have persecuted the Jews throughout history, but then they are all destroyed, vanquished from the face of the earth and only spoken of in the past tense. As for Israel’s current enemies and nations or organizations which call for the chopping of Israel into pieces to be fed to her enemies in the hopes that will quench their blood lust and libels as excuses for terror and demands for the world, an all too willing world, to denounce and allow the destruction of the Jewish State, the time is fast approaching. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, let our warning be taken in heed and not interpreted as a threat in any form for I am far from able to speak for Hashem, but Hashem will speak and will protect His prize, Jerusalem and all Israel, repeat, all Israel from those who would dice and cut up the gift Hashem promise Abraham, Isaak, Jacob for their children to the last generation.

In case you think that gave you and the other haters who desire to undo what was their small part in Hashem’s promise that Eretz Yisroel would be born in one day as it will go from nothing to a nation in the setting of the sun and in the next morning a nation would stand, the nation you know as Israel, a member nation of that club off Turtle Bay called the United Nations which means that the other members are forbid to attack her by the rules of the United Nations but the times they have assailed her borders there was no hue and cry of halt until it became obvious they had lost, then you demanded Israel stop and return most, and now all if not more, of the lands gained in a defensive war. Apparently you are unable to read the rules of Lawfare which allows the retention of such lands as payment for such a breach of the peace and all Israel has demanded is defensible borders which is why the Golan Heights were annexed, the Sinai Peninsula is supposed to be largely demilitarized and Egypt has worked with Israel within the treaty limitations and consideration considered and variances permitted, and Israel has been deemed by almost every military analysis seen to need the banks of the Jordan River and the high grounds overlooking the Jordan River Valley and the passes through those heights as a necessity for tactical depth and control of obvious attack routes. And now, Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon takes yet another swipe at Israel the next day after all but condoning the Arab terrorists but not quite reaching the now infamous Abbas blessing of their holy blood he seems ready to at the least outmatch the United Nations Human Right Committee which condemns Israel as if it were their opening prayer.

These points must not be threatened from behind by an aggressor which is exactly what the Arab Palestinians would become according to their own promises we call threats using their assorted elements all numbering in the thousands if not tens of thousands and as near as we could ascertain the total approached two-hundred-fifty-thousand fighting force, an extreme threat to leave at your rear when facing untold numbers before your front, especially when the world body which should be preventing or protecting you from such an obvious aggression is sitting silently, or worse, debating on what sanctions to level against Israel should she respond to the troops massed on her borders managing another defeat. Now, one more time, as we doubt it will be the last, check United Nations Security Council Resolution which is a Chapter VI resolution making it an advisory and not militarily enforceable as they had the wisdom and foreknowledge to understand and that the wording would confuse people despite their taking near to six months working on an exacting set of words presumably to avoid such, but when one disregards the entire resolution and decides to simply condemn Israel because, well, because it’s the Jewish State and that must not be permitted as per United Nations preoccupation and obsession with the destruction of Israel by any means.

The time is coming when the Arabs who demand to be called Palestinians will have escalated the now daily assaults, rock throwing, vehicular rammings, knifings, shootings and rioting with an ever increasing numbers of Israelis being murdered. Palestinian was a name which meant Jews before 1950s and not appropriated until the mid-1960s when the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) was fashioned by Yasser Arafat with an enabling assistance from the Soviet KGB. This became one of the world’s most universally recognized terrorist groups. The PLO can be credited with giving the world the hijacking of aircraft, the suicide human homicidal bomb, and the car bomb. The PLO provided training for other terror groups the world over. Eventually the world had no idea what to do with them so they worked with some Israeli politicians and other “worldly” entities and personalities, or so they viewed themselves, and transformed the PLO into a peace partner. They were even awarded semiautonomous regions with the terror master Yasser Arafat as the president and his trusty sidekick from the very start, Mahmoud Abbas the financier, accountant and manager of the Munich Olympics terrorist strike, as his vice president. You cannot make such insanity up and sell it to Hollywood as the plot for some misadventure movie.

What is preventing the Israeli government from acting to protect their citizens is beyond understanding and then for you, Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, to have the gall of calling Israelis an impediment for peace. Where can you justify such when Israel tore apart the lives of almost ten thousand of their citizens to give the Arabs an opportunity for self-rule and left them millions of dollars’ worth of operating greenhouses.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) forces, actually Hamas and Islamic Jihad, immediately took to dismantling these very same greenhouses and used their pipes to fashion rockets. Soon thereafter Hamas took over as the highly trained forces of the Palestinian Authority, trained by the United States under General Dayton, wilted before vastly inferior numbers, yes, lesser numbers, and did so with blinding speed in Gaza.
Israel is still paying for in ruined lives and other traumas for that sacrifice which has gained the world another dysfunctional terror state and the PA is still claiming that they must be given the opportunity to rule themselves. Really? What did they call Gaza? We call it Hamastan and the source of rockets and other offences against our citizens in communities within rocket range of Hamastan with distance meaning the rockets are larger and their explosions more potentially dangerous to property and lives. And you have the gall to talk to us and call our cities in Area C illegal settlements, though we are permitted to build in Area C and the Arabs are not. Talk to them about their building settlements in area C. You want to call our people settlers then show us where in Area A or even Area B that we have built any structures. You claim we are not honoring the agreement but are silent as they destroy repeatedly Joseph’s Tomb and refuse Jews and Christians from praying and often even visiting the Temple Mount despite all holy sites given special mention and permission for easy and total access but there are no recriminations against their violence and destructions. Settlers, really? And exactly what term would you use to describe the European funded land grabs in Area C by the Arabs and their constructing shanty homes being constructed encircling the Cave of the Patriarchs so as to close it from Jewish access for prayer or any other reason. What is the name for actual illegal construction by the Arabs or is it you know they would not give you the time of day, let alone stop their illegal building and would laugh in your face for good measure.

Let us get down to basics and look at a condensed series of quotes from Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon’s address condemning Israel and specifically condemned any plans by Israel to zone lands near Jericho as state lands which is among the acts Israel has not permitted as there has been a freeze on all building beyond the Green Line since 2012, but there has been increasing terrorism both in quantity and lethality. But first your quote strung together. “Progress towards peace requires a freeze of Israel’s settlement enterprise.” And, “These provocative acts are bound to increase the growth of settler populations, further heighten tension and undermine any prospects for a political road ahead.” Plus “The parties must act – and act now – to prevent the two-state solution from slipping away forever.” In contrast, the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon appeared to excuse Palestinian terror attacks and on the same day as an Israeli woman died of injuries she sustained in a brutal stabbing attack the day before. He referred to “Palestinian frustration is growing under the weight of a half century of occupation and the paralysis of the peace process.” Thus, Ban Ki-Moon continued blaming “the occupation” for causing “hatred and extremism.” And we’ll use this as a closer where Ban Ki-Moon protested that, “As oppressed peoples have demonstrated throughout the ages, it is human nature to react to occupation, which often serves as a potent incubator of hate and extremism.” So Arabs stabbing twenty-two year old mother right in front of her children is their just expressing their frustration and a Jew praying upon the Temple Mount was the reason for Arab rioting and what were those Jews expecting; equality, compassion, understanding and respect but as long as the Arabs object to any action committed by Jews then the Jews must cease and desist immediately from any such action or land ownership and if they end up with no state and are treading water three miles out in the Mediterranean, if that is what it will take to satisfy the Arabs and maybe end terrorism, then it must be given them without any thinking or discussion as long as it only inconveniences or results in dead Jews, then what’s the harm, right Ban Ki? Well, it seems Ban Ki-Moon is still stuck handing over the lands settled by the settlers today, and likely Jerusalem next week and then Tel Aviv by year’s end, with the rest saved for next year with the final declaration of a Jew free Palestine from the River to the Sea and all in vain as it will not save a single soul, but we Jews will survive and return to Jerusalem as that is our final goal just as it has been for millennia, given the chance, Jews return to this their home, their treasured and ancient home where there is proof in almost every corner, you just need to dig a little further.

This is merely our history of longing for our return to Jerusalem, because that is what we do, and will always return to our homes fulfilling Torah. The problem I have is after the struggle to force the British to leave and end their occupation of our lands one would think that we would have written our own laws and constitution already but instead we retained some of the worst of the British laws. Probably the most liberty obstructing law has to be administrative detention which the British used to place those Jews who they believed would cause any disruption whenever an important group was scheduled. They also placed Jews into prison but on occasion they would place these Jews in a special location where they could get a confession which they would then use to round up the rest of the usual suspects and this time they had a confession implicating these leaders of the communities with some being Rabbis with congregations. Right now there is a man, the grandson of Rabbi Meir Kahane, Meir Ettinger, is in his sixth month of administrative detention where after three months there had to be a hearing to determine whether or not it was in the State’s interest such that it overwhelmed the legal rights of the individual. With only the evidence of a posting which expressed unpopular views in a blog he wrote on the Hebrew website “Hakol Hayehudi” they have been holding Meir Ettinger for almost six months and knowing what we have ascertained about the vengefulness of Yaalon, Meir is likely going to receive additional extensions for as long as Netanyahu and Yaalon control his fate.

Simply put, the powers-that-be don’t like the way he thinks. Defense Minister Yaalon prefers that this grandson of Rabbi Meir Kahane be held without charges potentially indefinitely. We will know soon enough as Mr. Ettinger will have a hearing to decide whether he will walk away or be incarcerated for potentially another six months without a trial or even an indictment. This is a holdover from the days of British occupation. We were glad to be rid of the British as they used underhanded laws such as this holding without charge and then letting them go well after any action was passed. These British left-over laws with such arbitrary and excessive power was the kind of rule one finds with Kings and Queens, Barons and Countesses, Lords and Ladies and a ruling elite and the peasants at the bottom and the royals could do as they pleased to the peasants. That is not the governance Israel has and the people of Israel should not tolerate such legal shenanigans and demand that such laws be stricken from the books along with anything remotely like administrative detention. The Kahane Family has seen the murder of the Rabbi Kahane right as he left the hall after giving a speech and taking questions which were just as likely to be directed at his mastery in Torah as they would the land of Eretz Yisroel. I can remember my shock and sorrow when the Rabbi was shot dead in New York City. One of his sons and his wife, Binyamin and Talia Kahane were also gunned down right in the middle of the day in Israel as they drove and this news brought back memories from Rabbi Meir Kahane’s assassination and tears were again shed and thoughts felt insignificant in expressing the sorrow.

Let it be understood that our nerves are still raw and our restraint in wording may suffer a tendency towards the extreme but we will attempt to keep it civil as the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nickolay Mladenov has insisted in his statement that, “On this second day of Ramadan and at the start of the Shabbat, I call on all sides to exercise the utmost restraint, to maintain calm and promptly bring the perpetrators to justice.” We will attempt to exercise the ‘utmost restraint’ but that will be difficult. Still, odds are you will never hear about Danny Gonen who at the tender age of twenty-five was gunned down along with a friend who remains hospitalized in moderate but stable condition simply for the crime of being Jews passing a barbarian with blood in his eyes seeking his sacrifice to his gods or martyrdom in their service. The one thing I can be assured of is he must not have worshiped as a member of the religion of peace as if he was, how such a barbarous act could have happened? This is a familiar story and Danny Gonen will be labeled a settler because Jews should know their place and not stray beyond the Green Line. There are those in the world demanding that Israel accept as many as five-million Arab refugees within the Green Line in order to make Israel the twenty-fourth Arab State behind the twenty-third Arab state of Palestine but Jews must know their place in the world. We must obey our masters at the United Nations, the European Union, countless western Capital Cities and whomever else demands our restraint, a restrain which is never truly demanded should in response to rioting and attacks on Israeli police or other security personnel result in an Arab Palestinian accidentally or in response to imminent threat to the life of said Israeli law enforcement personnel but always almost simultaneously with the viscous and unprovoked attack upon Jews, usually Israeli Jews but the victim can be a Jew visiting from outside Israel or even a Christian visiting or residing in Israel.

While this barbarity was being understood and calm was the response as it would have been even had nobody said a word, as Jews tend not to take vengeance as much as we try to understand, but to put some emphasis on this need for Jews to sacrifice more than our young but also risk sacrificing our entire nation, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius is jetting his way for meetings with the Arab League and then on to meet with Mahmoud Abbas and then complete his mission meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu where the demand of the combined Arab world will be delivered and the message will be to give them everything they demand before they murder more Jews, more Israeli youth. What all the caring souls such as French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon who just finished his dressing-down of Israel for the use during the defensive response to terrorist assaults sending thousands of rockets into Israel last summer named Protective Edge consider is that it is all Israel’s responsibility all the time. Maybe you have heard about it in the recent report by Willy Stern of Vanderbilt Law School which complained of the IDF actions in the preliminary cautionary steps leading up to strikes on positions stating, “It was abundantly clear that IDF commanders had gone beyond any mandates that international law requires to avoid civilian casualties,” also made the point, “The IDF’s warnings certainly go beyond what the law requires, but they also sometimes go beyond what would be operational good sense elsewhere,” concluding in a cautionary tome with an actual complaint, something we and the IDF are used to, but this one was different claiming that, “People are going to start thinking that the United States and other Western democracies should follow the same examples in different types of conflict. That’s a real risk.” Yet Moon demanded Israel respond to the use by Hamas of children as shields for their rocket stores, rocket manufacturing facilities, and rocket launching locations while firing rockets statin, “I urge Israel to take concrete and immediate steps, including by reviewing existing policies and practices, to protect and prevent the killing and maiming of children, and to respect the special protections afforded to schools and hospitals.”

Ban Ki-Moon’s admonitions came right on the heels of the UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) Commissioner-General Pierre Krahenbuhl who managed to make an admission buried between a litany of complaints, accusations, admonitions and spurious excuses, reasons and explanations that there indeed were rockets and other stores, but left out any comments on the UNRWA clinic built with explosives within the walls so as to be used at a later date as a trap to kill IDF soldiers, were indeed found in UNRWA schools and other structures. He also had to include such tales of his noble and brave actions stating, and we fear this will be another long quote as he was long winded in his self-congratulatory-orations stating, “We were the ones who found the weapons caches in our facilities during inspections,” not entirely true as the IDF found and reported the first two of the finds, not Commissioner-General Pierre Krahenbuhl and friends. Continuing, “The reason that the whole world knew about it is that we told them,” after initially denying the reports then feigning surprise, shock and complete protestations of innocence and having no prior knowledge of such transgressions. But wait, there’s more, “We knew the revelation would lead to harsh responses against us in Israel, but try to imagine what would happen if we weren’t the ones who published it. The act of publishing proves we aren’t ready to allow it and show restraint,” such restraint such as calling Hamas rocket removal services to remove the rockets from the first location and having a collapse of memory on who they called to remove the rockets from the subsequent locations but we have our suspicions, we know, so cynical of us. Additionally we have the self-aggrandizement phase of his response, “I was the only senior international official who condemned the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip at Israel. And I didn’t do that from a place where it was easy and convenient to talk like Jerusalem or Geneva, but rather from within the Gaza Strip itself. I can say of myself that I take international law very seriously, and if I know that rockets are fired intentionally at regions where there is a population that can be harmed by it – I condemn.” Now comes more self-involvement and self-congratulatory rhetoric while condemning Israel and the IDF along the same venue as Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, “The day after the strike I visited the wounded children at the hospital, and I saw with my own eyes their parents who stood by them; what does that mean when you don’t have the ability to protect your children. When I see whole neighborhoods in Gaza that were destroyed by the IDF, or that there are UNRWA schools that were harmed after we gave the IDF their locations a dozen times and clarified that there are citizens there, then certainly we will put out condemnations. The price of the last operation was very high: 540 killed children and 3,000 wounded children. That doesn’t match with the Israeli statement that all steps were taken to reduce to a minimum the number of wounded.” Noticeably missing from his diatribe was any mention about his dear friends and combatant-in-arms Hamas and their usage of locations such as schools, hospitals, refugee centers and clinics to store, fire and place positions all in efforts to maximize civilian casualties with a special effort to include as many children as possible by such means as asking young children in an excited and playful tone if they would like to come and ‘help’ the brave Jihadist warriors as they fire rockets at those demonic Israelis, what youth could resist? Perhaps a recount of the report from Professor Stern of Vanderbilt Law School’s content.

“It was abundantly clear that IDF commanders had gone beyond any mandates that international law requires to avoid civilian casualties. The IDF’s warnings certainly go beyond what the law requires, but they also sometimes go beyond what would be operational good sense elsewhere. People are going to start thinking that the United States and other Western democracies should follow the same examples in different types of conflict. That’s a real risk.” A further conclusion from the report added that the IDF, “is setting an unreasonable precedent for other democratic countries of the world who may also be fighting in asymmetric wars against brutal non-state actors who abuse these laws.” Pnina Sharvit Baruch, a senior researcher at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) concurred with the report adding her assessment stating legal advisers from other militaries around the world confront her with “recurring claims” that the IDF “is going too far in its self-imposed restrictions intended to protect civilians, and that this may cause trouble down the line for other democratic nations fighting organized armed groups.”

Still, the violence which added the name of a blessed young adult, Danny Gonen, barely beyond his childhood, and actually would be considered a child in any report which lists the children killed in any IDF action as child seems to go as far in life as a few years past thirty if the cause is righteous and favored by those purveyors of Human Rights. Meanwhile Israeli and Jews who are murdered are often cast-off as deserving of such as they are “settlers” or were taking unadvisable and dangerous, life-threatening risks hiking in the wrong location, that location is anywhere in Israel according to the growing numbers of extremist reporters and commentators. Recent reports have introduced one more the concept that all of Jerusalem should be made the capital of and Arab nation formed out of the hide of the Jewish State as Israel already has a city worthy of the title as their capital, Tel Aviv, after all, is that not where the European and American embassies are located. I wonder if the Israelis moved their capitals from Paris to Marseilles, Berlin to Frankfurt, Moscow to St. Petersburg, London to Manchester, Rome to Milano, Warsaw to Krakow; would the world accept the Israeli media using these replacement capital cities in their news reports or would there be a holy stink and caseloads of indignation showered onto such acts of perceived disrespect for national pride and the self-determining right of nations to choose their own capital city, at least in the rest of the world. The same also applies to the Israeli citizens living or visiting the contested areas which were legally repatriated through a defensive war which liberated them from Jordanian internationally declared illegal occupation even by the Arab League and the Arab nations individually. Since Jordan was occupying Judea and Samaria which she illegally renamed the West Bank, a name that has become so popular it has all but erased the lands real names, and Egypt was occupying Gaza, and the Golan Heights by Syria, from whom were they occupying these lands? The answer can be found in numerous places and historic treaties, conferences and documents; they were occupied Israeli lands and were liberated, not conquered during that fateful week in June of 1967. Israel has returned the lands she has occupied over her short history where she has responded to attacks and gained legal right to those lands, but she has exited them and returned them. Israel has returned the Sinai Peninsula and returned after the 1973 defensive war, one where Israel was almost overrun and would have been if not still possessing the Sinai, the lands west of the Suez Canal and the control over the Suez Canal as Israel was well on her way to Cairo in the south and withdrew back to the Golan Heights from her advance almost to Damascus in the north, responding to simultaneous assaults by Syria and Egypt. The remaining lands, with possible discussions as to where exactly in the Golan Heights region the border needs to be drawn, are all rightfully belonging to Israel by treaties reaching back to the 1920s. That is the simple truth nobody cares to mention in polite conversation.

Also left from polite conversations is the fact that from May 15, 1948 through June 8, 1967 the lands of Gaza, Judea and Samaria were held by Egypt and Jordan respectively and during that nineteen year and three weeks interval the Arab citizens within these areas, they had yet decided that they were Palestinians as they still identified as Syrian, Egyptian, Iraqi, Turkish, Saudi, Yemenis, and Balkans; anything but Palestinian as that was still the reference for the Jews who had resided in these lands returning in numbers and joining the Jewish communities which could be found largely in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, on Kibbutzim, working farms, in Shechem (Nablus), in Hevron, Beersheba, Eilat, Jaffa, Haifa, Jericho and numerous other cities, towns, villages and such where many of the families had resided for as long as close to three-thousand-years and many could trace their heritage in these lands which are Israel back to before the Greek invasions having resided in these lands since returning from the Babylonian exile and some since the Exodus itself. These so-called ‘Palestinian’ Arabs never once during those nineteen years of Egyptian and Jordanian occupation muttered a peep about their ancient and holy land of Palestine as they were as content as an unkosher animal in a mud-puddle. There were no riots even after the Israelis liberated the lands and were well on the path to patronizing these Arab populations to potentially Israeli citizenship while offering them opportunities they had never even dreamed of before Israel arrived on their scene, as Israel opened new schools, a university, hospitals, paved many roads, new sewage treatment facilities, new water mains and pipes to virtually every town and farm and electricity from the Israeli grid and phone service which reached out to the world. It was not until KGB agent and provocateur Yasser Arafat and his second in command Mahmoud Abbas arrived and stirred up racial strife and began the first Intifada, invented a new meaning for Naqba Day which originally referred to the partitioning of the area into French and British Mandated lands thus separating those Arabs living mostly east for the Jordan River but in British Mandate lands from their holy city of Damascus where they were required to make regular pilgrimages since the Mecca was denied them during much of the Ottoman Empire which preferred the Damascus location of the Hajj as it meant more money for their empire. These Arabs who cast their allegiances as being citizens of the southern region of greater Syrian Province with Damascus as its capital city and thus considered a place of importance that any perception of difficulties preventing travel to Damascus as being life-altering and thus given the name Naqba meaning catastrophe. This all started after World War I and the setting of the Mandate Lands and the division of their governance during the 1920s.

The recent report which came from the United Nations decrying the unnecessary and needless deaths of children would not have included any reference to Danny Gonen just as it did not mention anything about Yaakov Naftali Fraenkel age 16, Gilad Michael Shaer age 16 and Eyal Yifrah age 19, who were kidnapped, possibly tortured and then brutally murdered and hastily buried in a shallow grave on June 12, 2014, which prompted a weeks’ long search before the bodies were recovered. Let us pass on some more names not covered by the United Nations report of violence against children where Israel received far more coverage for her ‘crimes’ than were ISIS, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Iran, North Korea or elsewhere, surprised? We weren’t. There is Adele Biton who was three-years-old when injured and received serious head wounds and brain damage in early 2013 and has subsequently died under two years later succumbing to her horrific wounds. Yonatan Palmer died on September 23, 2011 on a roadside in the family van striking a tree at speed as his father, Asher Palmer, slumped over the steering wheel dead with his face smashed partially through his skull with a rock which bore a striking resemblance to the horrific wound; Yonatan Palmer was barely one-year-old. There was the Friday, March 11, 2011 attack on the Fogel family where both parents were murdered with the father having his throat cut while he slept and his wife murdered after a brief struggle with her attacker who slit her throat as well just to make sure she was dead. The children murdered were Hadas age three months, Yoav age eleven years and Elad age four years all except little Hadas from having their throats slit while sleeping on a Friday night Shabbat evening. Tiny little Hadas had initially escaped notice as had two of her older brothers sleeping in the living room rather than their beds and the families’ oldest, their daughter who was still attending a Shabbat late prayer session and young adults’ Torah session who returned to find the family slaughtered. Little three month old Hadas was not in a crib but was mostly concealed by the covers as she slept next to her father who had his arm holding her even in his death. Something woke the little, nay, infant girl as the two Arab teen cousins from the Arab town bordering the Jewish community of Itamar, a place unfortunately all too familiar with such terror attacks, were making their escape and when she started crying they heard her. One of the cousins returned to silence the infant, a mere three-month-old barely out of the womb tiny girl, helpless, innocent, no real cares in the world as we adults know it, everything was a new and fascinating experience until that Shabbat night. She lie there next to her father probably aware that something was amiss, little children have a built in alarm system which warns them when there is a tear in their world and she likely sensed there was quite a bit wrong with her world. The Arab teen returned and murdered little Hadas quite measurably more brutally as she had her little neck slit like the other members of the family murdered that night but before slitting her throat this barbarian had plunged his knife violently and viscously into her chest piercing her heart multiple times during that four or so stabs into her little torso in such a brutal and hateful way.

What makes a person so dead inside as to be capable of such an act? How does one desensitize someone to be capable of such brutality to a three month old baby girl, and mere infant whose life has barely begun and who is the most helpless and innocent amongst us. It is beyond reason and understanding and even human nature to take such action or is it. This was an act carried out in these lands four or five thousand years ago. Nobody knows when it was finally ended, or was it when we see what was perpetrated against little Hadas. The practice in prehistory and even into the age of written history was to sacrifice young children to the pagan gods, but not to all or any random of these false gods often represented by a stone idol. One of the chief gods to which children were sacrificed was Baal. Priests would hold a great ceremony of which was the culmination where a child or even many children were sacrificed depending on the whims of the priests. The Priests used the threat of granting you the honor of presenting your young child for the sacrifice as a way of governing and assuring that nobody opposed their will, or at least not for long. The method of sacrifice varied as some were thrown into pits of fire while another popularly used was to slit the child’s throat and then plunge the dagger into their heart several times, almost the same manner in which little Hadas was murdered. If this can be looked upon as a ritual sacrifice then we truly are dealing with barbarians and they are inside our gates. This is not to claim that all people who share racial, religious, societal or any other convictions as these two teens and the other perpetrators given to list of their victims above are all barbarians as there are monsters amongst all societies, just some more than others, but that alone does not make their actions the nourishment upon which it suckles. But should a society find that more and more of their youth have taken to such violent acts, then it is up to the adults and influential people to make an effort to end such barbarisms, and if they miss the opportunity to make such changes as required to end barbarous behavior, then their society may gain the label of barbarians and that should result in their being shunned and ostracized for the good of the society as well as for its own survival. When people exhibit such violent tendencies and show no remorse, or as the perpetrators of the acts above, show pride and the feelings that such acts are an accomplishment, then there is a serious problem which must be addresses with the utmost urgency and not necessarily taking steps to assure the exercise of the utmost restraint.

With our sincerest apologies to United States President Obama, European Union’s Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini, United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nickolay Mladenov. Another note for Mr. Mladenov, the (so-called) Honorable Ban Ki-Moon, UNRWA’s Commissioner-General Krahenbuhl and all the other holier-than-thou human rights experts and other busybodies; the truth be told the Israeli public is getting good and fed-up with having to take the high road and always turn our rage aside and simply quietly and politely bury our dead and try and believe it is all over till the next time, which comes a lot more frequently the further we go down this road. When we look back down the road to see from where we have come there are too many bouquets lining the road on both sides and too close together to even try and pretend there is nothing wrong. There is something wrong and it is wrong here, in Europe, in the United States, it’s permeating the Western World and to a lesser extent, the entire planet. You ask us to “exercise the utmost restraint” or to “practice restraint” or as Ban Ki-Moon demanded when commenting on the commission report on the suffering of children from violence where he appeared to instruct Israel to, “take concrete and immediate steps, including by reviewing existing policies and practices, to protect and prevent the killing and maiming of children,” with no mention of Hamas practices or the report that Israel has set the bar too high for the rest of the Western nations to be capable of meeting those standards implemented and utilized by the IDF with the intent of decreasing, if not eliminating, not only children’s casualties but all noncombatant casualties. The day may come and come sooner rather than later when Israelis go out of their minds and show the world what the ethnic cleansing and genocide would look like if the political leadership decided to actually let loose the maximum capabilities of Israel to sew the whirlwind. Do not get all frantic as Israel would never actually commit such acts, but we could perform an operation by displaying in an exercised war scenario in conjunction with another nation providing the necessary opposing forces using the laser tagging vest system to depict what could happen if we were to actually commit the crimes which so many are so fond of accusing us of committing or intending to commit. If we intended to commit such acts, the world would know about it really quickly, but let us hope things never come to such a state as, oh, say Iran acquiring nuclear weapons and having used them on another nation, not necessarily Israel as though they have promised to destroy Israel, they never reserved the first slot for Israel, that is likely either for the United States or Saudi Arabia, and we might desire to strike back in their names. That would provide a definitive display of Israel letting loose the dogs of war and doing so with every dog we can muster.
