Barak’s Democratic Union Opposes Judaism and Jewish History

Right up front we feel it necessary to mention that most of our staff belong to Jewish Home and this writer is quite fond of Brigadier General (ret.) Rabbi Rafi Peretz. My support for Rabbi Peretz was greatly enhanced after meeting with him both before and after a Central Committee meeting where all told we probably spoke for at least thirty minutes. In the time I was able to watch him, he never rushed anyone and patiently spoke to all who wished his attention. Many of the other candidates on our Knesset list were far less approachable and most hurried from the meeting as if the building caught fire, exactly what we have come to expect from politicians who unfortunately believe they are more important than the rest of us. Perhaps this, in the end, served him well when he permitted Ayelet Shaked to take his spot at the head of the ticket seeing that polls depict her leading to greater acceptance and more mandates. It was quite interesting that the day after Ms. Shaked took the top spot, the poll showed her receiving four less mandates than predicted when she was not leading the ticket. The earlier polls, in our opinion, were designed to force Rabbi Peretz to step aside while knowing full well that the difference was a mere two to three seats between the two and we figure that it would make a negligible difference in the actual elections. Now, back to our regularly scheduled article.

Ehud Barak heads the Democratic Party and invested great efforts to find another party to ally with so as to assure his making the next Knesset should one ever be formed. The Blue White Party declined his requests, the Labor Party declined his offer, and he finally found one which agreed to accept a merger, and that party was Meretz. Together they will use the moniker of the Democratic Union. A spokesperson for the party released their statement stating, “The education minister this morning is moving a system meant to educate our system another step towards a system devoted to brainwashing,” So, what could possibly have been introduced by Education Minister Rabbi Rafi Peretz that brought such an extreme reaction from our friends at the far left? For that we will quote Rabbi Peretz, the Education Minister, directly. He explained, “The connection to our heritage and history is the bedrock of our existence and is the glue that connects us as a society. We have the duty of education to safeguard it.” Additionally, Minister Peretz added as he spoke to Galai Tzahal on Army Radio, “Judaism is an ocean of wisdom. Students will be exposed to many values, morals and love. These values will help us establish a more values and moral society here.” What could possibly be so sinister in such a curriculum as to be considered brainwashing?

The first item which has to be considered is that both parties in the Democratic Union are a fair distance from supporting the religious world. The majority of their members are either purely atheist or secular humanist with merely the slightest belief in Hashem. They view religion in general and Judaism particularly as threatening to their beliefs and supported lifestyles. Torah morality does not support the many diverse and often indistinguishable genders as proposed by the leftists. Their usual depiction that Torah is hateful is the ban on sodomy. Of course, they never couch what Torah states as considering sodomy as a sin but claim that Torah teaches hatred of all gay people. That is so far from the truth. Torah teaches us to love and accept all, particularly all Jews, and to accept and treat all strangers with respect and acceptance asking only that they obey the Noahic Code and live under our rule respectfully. The teaching that sodomy is a sin is not and never was targeting the gay community as it also applies to heterosexual couples, or simply put, it is indiscriminate to sexuality as it bans all forms of sodomy. There is no law or even commentary that we are aware of which teaches Jews to reject gay people and especially no call for their hatred. If only the far left were as kind to the religious our society would be far more homogeneous and caring for each other.

The Democratic Union also complained that Rafi Peretz is ignoring such problems as class size, improve the status of teachers and that Rafi Peretz “introduced the racist Nationality Law into the high school curriculum.” The Nationality Law was passed this last session by the Knesset and as such, the teaching of the law and what it contains and does not contain is of importance as it is amongst the Basic Laws which define Israeli society and governance. The Basic Laws which define Israel are hopefully all taught and discussed by our high school students. Or does the Democratic Union believe that the Basic Laws should be kept a secret. We are willing to bet that students are taught about the number of seats make up the Knesset; how a Prime Minister is chosen; the duties of the President, Prime Minister, Knesset Members and the Ministerial positions with their duties. Further, Torah and the Bible are histories of the Jewish People and their Nationhood. The remaining history of the Jewish People after the Roman dispersion is equally important and deserves a place in the classroom. This is the idea behind the Edmund Burke quote, “Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.” Perhaps the Democratic Union is in favor of making the same mistakes over and over again. Their insistence that the education of our children should be bereft of Torah and Bible which represent almost two thousand years of early Jewish history reaching back to Abraham, Isaak, and Jacob along with Moses the lawgiver and on to Kings Saul, David, Solomon and beyond, the Prophets and Judges and so much more as well as covering the Zionist Movement’s history from before the Balfour Declaration through the British Mandate to independence and the 1948 war to annihilate the Jews and their nascent state and everything since is as ridiculous as it sounds at face value. The Jewish People have near to four-thousand-years of history which would take more than one class to cover. Without the history and all the trial and tribulations we went through and the perils which have struck the Jewish People in the past, how can the next generation avoid these same mistakes without a solid understanding from whence our people came, how we were defined and what ideas and ideals we hold dear? The simple answer is that such would be impossible.

The Secular Humanist idea is to not teach history as it actually happened but to redefine events to fit closely with their brave new world. Their syllabus for most history classes is formulated to highlight minority contributions while ignoring much of the people who formed governments and principles in the lesson plans. I witnessed such with my children in school in the United States in a quite progressive (read far left) area where the Secular Humanist agenda was the mainstay of their curriculum. Her year of American history did not include a single lesson where George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin or any other Caucasian from American history other than Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Delano Roosevelt and very little reference to the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers or anything written by Ben Franklin including Poor Richard’s Almanac. There was not a course in world history even offered. We will not even get into the mess which is the result of the newest math except to say that none of it made sense and I majored in math. They were told in algebra to guess until they found the answer, which works great if your answer is a whole number but not so well if the answer is the square root of -9 (which is 3i). Needless to say, we spent a fair amount of time teaching math and additional lessons in American and world history much to their chagrin. There is nothing wrong with teaching additional classes in the history of the Jewish People, both recent and Biblical and from all areas of the Diaspora with the greatest amount of straight honesty as possible (see maps of historic Israel below). This writer stands strongly against softening the history of our people for whatever reason is presented, be it to protect the student’s impressionable mind, to make everything less traumatic, or the real reason, to deny the students the standing to understand from whence they came and their long and impressive history so as to make the student more easily accepting to their newest ideas and concepts as well as believing that Secular Humanism is the most advanced societal philosophy and that Judaism, Torah and the Bible are nothing more than folk tales of little to no importance. Having seen how well such an approach to education in the United States and the products from their institutions of higher learning such as Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez; we would prefer our youth have a better grasp on history and how to shape the future.

Israel Through the Ages

Israel Through the Ages

Never would we want to have any member of a ruling coalition putting forth the mistaken belief that Israel was a present given to the Jews by the European powers as an apology for the Holocaust when the reality is that it was part of the returning of lands to their indigenous peoples. Two of such promises caused the greatest amount of pushback from the Arab world; Israel and Kurdistan, both of which were also opposed by the British who were responsible for establishing both nations. Kurdistan fell when they discovered oil in Mosul and the Iraqi leader promised the British that J. Paul Getty could have the drilling rights. The British did much to mollify Arab opposition but Zionism won out and Israel did not suffer an identical result. Students need to know what lands were promised Israel which are the lands west of the Jordan River, what lands were promised us in the Bible, what lands we controlled at the various stages from the conquests under Joshua to the Greater Israel of Kings David and Solomon and that the term Greater Israel applies to that era of our history and has no meaning to modern Israel. These are some of the vital statistics and facts which our leaders of the future need to know in order to properly lead this precious nation. There are so many other facts which could be listed here, but they can also be found in numerous of our articles. We want future Israelis to have a solid knowledge of their roots both modern and Biblical and the philosophy of and what it means to be a Jew. Judaism is so much more than a religion as it is also a people and a family. Zionism is something to be proud about despite what many leftists claim as they do not believe in nationhood and desire a one world government under the auspices of such as the European Union or United Nations. They desire open borders and an end to the belief in Hashem and all religion for their concept of the perfect future. The future they envision has been attempted on a national scale before and has always resulted in a dictatorial governance and more often than not in mass killings to cull the populations and we will give you one guess who were considered unnecessary in such governance. Yes, we were most often amongst those targeted as it has always been easy to target the Jews as they were often few in number and never had political power under these systems. Atheism is the antipathy of Judaism and it is easy to tell those who believe in Hashem and those who believe that the human beings are the highest power in the universe (until the promised ET’s arrive) and we have seen these types before as they were the Hellenists from Greek culture during the times of Alexander the Great. They worshiped the human form and believed it to be supreme over all else while Judaism also values every human being but believe that every Jew can only be good if they practice being a good and religious people and act accordingly following Torah. We must also teach our children how Judaism and Torah formed much of the basis for civilization and the guiding principles of our Bible were the referenced liberally by Founding Fathers of the United States in the writing of the Declaration of Independence and numerous other principles incorporated in the founding of America. Why anyone would desire to have such knowledge denied to our children is confounding and implies some ulterior motive which often will end regrettably. Knowledge is the aim of education and our history and the founding writings of Torah, Bible, Talmud and the many other writings have a deep level of knowledge and provide a framework for making good and solid decisions. We ask again, why would we wish to deny such to our children?

The Thirty Days of Ramadan

While there are thirty days in the Muslim holiday of Ramadan as of the writing of this article we are merely approaching the midpoint of the holiday and have but a dozen days’ worth of news to pull from; thus, this is more like the Twelve Days of Ramadan. Perhaps it would be worth it for us to recall back in the days of the Second Iraq War and the War in Afghanistan where the allied troops were warned by the commander of the combined forces, the commander of each nations’ forces, and likely had the reminder driven home by every level right down to your squad leader. Then, additionally, whenever your squad was to perform a patrol the warnings were given in reverse starting with your squad leader to your platoon officer to your company commander and potentially to your battalion commander and, should one be extremely fortunate, your brigade commander to whatever was appropriate to the size of the mission and numbers of troops being dispatched. The warning would quickly sound like a broken record (for those who have never seen a turntable, let alone a record player, a broken record would have damaged tracks causing it to skip, backwards in this case, and repeat the same thing until nudged forward) warning the troops not to eat when Muslims were able to see your actions as this would be insensitive to their fasting during the daylight hours and eating after sundown. Be extraordinarily polite when dealing with a Muslim and be respectful of this holiday of ultimate importance in Islam, and whatever one did or whatever the circumstance nobody, they would usually emphasize this by adding, and I mean nobody, then continuing with the admonition, should discharge their weapon particularly aimed at a Muslim as such action would be desecrating and disrespecting this holy month of Ramadan. For some untold reason these rules of respecting Ramadan by restraining from any use of force was not part of the observance of those the allied troops in Iraq and Afghanistan were observing as they continued their usual ambushes and planting IEDs (improvised explosive devices which served a similar purpose as mines and were simply more ingenious in their construction and camouflage) or other steps of violence against the infidel troops besmirching not only their sacred lands but their sacred holiday by presenting themselves as targets forcing them to shoot at them during Ramadan.

Getting down to the serious discussion, Ramadan began on Thursday, the 18th of June, but with Islam using the same changeover of days like the Jews the start is actually the evening before at sunset and will continue until Friday, the 17th of July ending at sunset. Thus far it has been a busy first half of Ramadan despite the allied troops has almost completely disappeared from Iraq and being pulled out from Afghanistan. It was kicked off in Israel with the regularly scheduled rioting, vehement protesting any anti-terror activities such as checkpoints, despite their numbers being decreased for the entirety of Ramadan while concurrently issuing additional travel permits so that Arabs from Gaza desiring to worship at the Temple Mount could do so if they placed any importance on such activities being performed there. These passes were not honored for one entire day in response to rocket attack made the night of Tuesday, June 23 on Israel during Ramadan out of Gaza. The ramifications concerning Ramadan violence took a serious turn for the worse on the second day of Ramadan which was June 19 when Danny Gonen and a friend stopped their vehicle as they were leaving a spring they had visited to assist an Arab man who flagged them down appearing to be in distress. It was then when the Arab man upon approaching the vehicle opened up with a handgun shooting both young men and murdering one of the young men, twenty-five-year-old Danny Gonen, who died as a result of his wounds soon after being airlifted still in an unconscious state to Tel Hashomer Hospital. His friend, whose name has been withheld, received moderate to serious wounds with gunshots mostly to his arms and legs and was taken by ambulance for treatment at Tel Hashomer Hospital. His condition after arrival and treatment at the hospital was reported as moderately injured but stable expected to recover.

Just two days subsequent on June 21 a Border Patrol Officer was stabbed repeatedly by his Arab attacker with his most serious wounds resulting from a stabbing wound to his neck. Before losing consciousness the Border Officer managed to shoot and fatally injure his attacker preventing him from injuring others at the scene of the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem. The officer regained consciousness after treatment some time on Monday and is expected to recover from his wounds. Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino paid him a bedside visit on Monday morning and was quoted to have told the officer’s family, “They told me what happened to him after the stabbing, it enhances his heroism.”

The next day, Monday, June 22, the body of a farmer, David Bar Kapara aged 70 years, was found in his orchards. David Bar Kapara was murdered by what was described as Arab laborers who illegally entered Israel seeking employment and who were likely told that David Bar Kapara and not having found work they struck out and murdered an elderly man little capable of posing any risk to his attackers, a craven and cowardly act. These individuals, when caught, should be charged with having committed a brutal and horrific act, murder of the most serious kind, premeditated as they likely demanded employment threatening David Bar Kapara, a seventy-year-old farmer who was the most innocent and helpless against such an attack by so many attackers and then beat him to death. They could have simply stopped at any time while he would have survived but instead continued the assault like animals in a killing frenzy. They deserve to be treated as the rabid animals their attack closely imitated with its depravity and brutality resulting in cruel murder on a defenseless elderly farmer without any provocation and resulting merely because of their frustrations, a motivation hardly the equivalence of their horrific actions.

Then come Friday, June 26, there was an assault on an IDF manned checkpoint in the Jordan Valley. The initial investigations have revealed the perpetrator stepped from his vehicle and proceeded to open fire on the soldiers without managing to hit any of them. A short but decisive gun battle ensued resulting on the attacker’s death and no injuries of the soldiers stationed at the checkpoint. This is being treated as another Arab terror attack. The terrorist was armed with a modified Carl Gustav automatic weapon pictured below. These attacks and attempted murders with one target having suffered fatal wounds have represented the unfortunate upswing in terror attacks both in severity and frequency with these attacks having taken place solely in Israel.

Come Saturday night an ambulance and its driver were shot upon while returning from Ofra driving on the recently opened new highway adjacent to Beit El in the Binyamin region of Samaria, north of Jerusalem. The terrorist was standing next to his car with its engine running when, without any warning, the terrorist brandished his weapon and opened fire hitting the vehicle three times but injured nobody. The terrorist then proceeded to fire at the next vehicle right behind the ambulance. After apparently missing striking both vehicles the Arab shooter decided to call it a night and climbed back into his vehicle and sped off out of sight. The ambulance driver was quoted revealing that, “We get a lot more attacks at the entrances to Jerusalem, where they throw rocks, firebombs, and other things at us. I was told that this was the first time they fired at an ambulance in this area.” Let us hope that was the last attack on that route from this day forward.

This weekend and start of the new week has seen more than its share of Ramadan violence. Still listing violence in Israel, on Sunday there were two separate incidents. The first incident there was nobody hurt or injured as the IDF and security sources prevented the attack by intercepting a woman, an Arab Palestinian, who was trying to cross the security fence from Qalqiliya into Judea-Samaria carrying a rifle slung across her back. During questioning the would be female terrorist revealed that Hamas had sent her to carry out a terror attack to shoot as many Israelis as she could before being captured or otherwise prevented from continuing her assault. Then early on Monday we suffered a far more serious attack when an Arab woman and terrorist stabbed the twenty-five-year-old female IDF soldier placed to guard Kever Rachael (Rachel’s Tomb) north of Bethlehem and south of Jerusalem. In the assault the IDF guard was wounded with repeated stabbings largely in her neck as well as other minor injuries. The soldier received treatment at the scene and was still unconscious and listed as serious when placed for transit to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. During the trip, the female soldier regained consciousness and by the time she was transferred to the hospital she was listed to be in stable condition. She is expected to also make a complete recovery.

There was another attack Monday night first reported in the final hour before midnight and Tuesday morning. In yet another shooting attack these terrorists this time opened fire on a car near the community of Shvut Rachel where their bullets wounded four occupants in the car in which they were traveling. Of the four injured three were in light to moderate condition and the fourth suffered serious wounds. The most severely wounded victim was evacuated to the Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem along with one of those in moderate condition while the other two victims were transferred to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. These attacks were in addition to the return of rockets across the Gaza front and the barrages of rocks, bricks, cinderblocks and other various objects hurled at vehicles mostly in Judea and Samaria with recent outbreaks beginning within Israel largely thus far in central and northern Galilee. There also has been a marked increase in rockets fired by the Gaza terrorist outlets including Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Israel was far from the only scene of Islamic Jihadist violence. By now it should be becoming evident that as Giulio Meotti in “Terrorists are not Barbarians, They are Enemies at War with the West” made evidently clear, this is not simply a bunch of lone wolf attacks or even coordinated attacks meant to simply scare and worry people but a bonafide war being waged by slow escalations with the eventual intent to make one last final thrust and depose every Western Government in Europe and around the developed world. These soldiers of this Jihad are slowly being placed in vital points to take out leadership and infrastructure thus causing maximum confusion and lack of leadership and then exploiting the chaos that results. In what many news services are covering as three completely separate incidents with nothing in common except that they have been declared by many government experts in the Western World are loudly and vehemently exclaiming that they have nothing to do with the religion of peace, Islam. Yet, in the weekend following a call by ISIS for their followers around the world to rise up and terrorize the world, and three responded. We have and will continue to be told that these three individuals had nothing in common with each other and these were isolated incidents which just happened as these three simply went insane each at their own time for their own reasons.

Tunisia is reporting that they have arrested the first of those who planned and carried out the beach terror attack in which at least thirty-eight people were killed. They have detained “a significant number of people from the network that was behind this terrorist” attack on a popular tourist resort in Port El Kantaoui. The authorities have also claimed to have identified 23-year-old Seifeddine Rezgui as the man who has pulled an AK-47 from its concealed location inside a beach umbrella and began walking along the beach shooting as he walked along the beach. During the same period there was an assault on a Shia Mosque in Kuwait City. This attack murdered at least another twenty-seven people and wounded over 200 others simply because they practiced a separate branch of Islam. Finally, in Lyons, France, Yassine Salhi, who has admitted to decapitating his boss and placing his head trophy style on the fence post at the gates to the factory, has been detained along with his wife, sister and one other person. The man beheading his boss and mutilating his body, being as disturbing as it may be, that is the worst of the story as the explosion caused by Yassine Salhi ramming and exploding his truck into the gas factory where he has been employed resulted only two injuries while the rest of the employees were evacuated with no further harm to people. This may result in having been a terror attack which also targeted the terrorist’s place of work and mutilating and decapitating his boss may also be classified as possibly the worst case of workplace violence. Even removing the French attack, the Kuwait and Tunis attacks murdered sixty-five innocent people thus far and let us pray for no more to be counted amongst the dead, and well over two-hundred injured. The fact that these attacks occurred almost immediately after ISIS leadership called for their followers to rise up and attack and terrorize those who are the enemies of ISIS and their version of Sunni Islam, a call that likely places two-thirds of Sunni Muslims as legitimate targets which has been proven by the numbers of fellow Sunni Muslims have been murdered after ISIS has taken some presumed Sunni areas where the people apparently were not quite diligent or exactly the same as the one defined by ISIS. The one item which the people need to start with their elected representatives is that they no longer jump immediately to the conclusion that nothing initially appears to be a terror attack and then dancing around the point avoiding that which is obvious to the rest of us as terrorism. They and their co-conspirators from the mainstream media must be forced to recognize that the so-called unwashed masses are literate these days and though we may not have gone to Harvard or Columbia Universities, we are thinking and smarter than many of them would believe and we can handle the truth (no matter what Jack Nicholson may declare). They need to trust the people as the people, as a group, will often come to a better conclusion than the five-hundred-thirty-five, thirty-six if we count the man at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, seem to be capable of reaching. The people would not write laws which one must pass to know what is in it and the people would write laws that make sense and not make laws because they had little else to do. I’d rather have a society designed by fifty to one-hundred land-owning farmers than a thousand lawyers, and thinking of it, was that not who wrote the Constitution of the United States that our modern day heroes are attempting to redefine to mean what they want it to mean and have a court which has recently twisted almost to if not past the breaking point. No, give me that original and unpolluted document even with the first ten amendments and allow a start-over for America, she will be better for the restart. Just as Israel would be at a greater advantage and healthier to return to their original constitution, not the one started as a conglomeration of “Basic Laws” which can be changed at whim, I mean Torah, the five books of Moses, even if it does mean no government making new laws, just using the ones written in Torah, all six-hundred-thirteen commandments.

Israeli Supreme Court Needs Constraint by Constitution

The Israeli Supreme Court is rewriting laws to represent their progressive far leftist opinions by claiming any law they dislike to be unconstitutional despite Israel not even having a Constitution. You read that correctly, Israel does not have an actual, real, defined Constitution and in its place they have what they refer to as the Basic Laws which can be changed by a simple majority and many are often poorly limited in how they can be applied. The latest ruling will have deleterious effects especially for working class Israelis whose neighborhoods will be ravaged and plagued with threats of higher crimes, assaults, increase in attempted and committed rapes and general lawlessness caused by the illegal infiltrators which the Supreme Court ruled cannot be kept in custody awaiting deportation for up to three years as was detailed in the 2012 law passed to address the problem. These illegal infiltrators came from the Horn of Africa, South Sudan, Kenya, and from across northern and sub-Saharan Africa passing through numerous countries all passing finally through the length and breadth of Egypt and then the Sinai Peninsula entering Israel on the Negev border. These illegal entrants are mostly economic refugees with only a very small number actually qualifying for political refugee status or other classification which would allow them to seek permanent residence in Israel by International Law. These are simply victims of severe poverty who have left their homeland and crossed many borders all the way risking being murdered if caught in any of the foreign nations through which they pass with the danger of meeting such an end climaxing in the Sinai Peninsula as the Egyptian border guards and military and police units which keep order in the area simply shoot them with great prejudice. Once they arrive in Israel they live often dozens in an apartment and attempt to collect welfare and other support payments and augment their income by theft, robbery, and often intimidation threatening to impart great harm if not given sufficient cash, and G0d help the unfortunate who does not have what they expect as sufficient payment, roaming in bands preying on Jews living in the same neighborhoods. One of the largest concentrations of such illegal refugees is South Tel Aviv, far from the residences of the wealthy Supreme Court Justices.

This has actually become an aggravating habit where the Supremes, probably a better description that of their attitude than calling them respected Judges on the Supreme Court, decide to negate laws with which they disagree, an overruling of the Knesset which seems to occur with greater regularity when the nationalists or more religious or conservatives make up the ruling coalition. Another trend that is noticeable indicating similar actions by the Supremes is they are wholly supported by the European Union, European governments, and the plethora of NGOs financed by the New Israel Fund, European Union, European governments and foreign NGOs and liberal entities. It sometimes begins to appear that Israel is waging a war with the liberal influences, governments, NGOs and other such interests often from Europe who attempt to influence and rule Israel through decrees handed down by the Supremes very often overruling the elected members of the Knesset and against the will of the majority of Israelis. There is only one way this will be righted and the power to decide the laws of the land back with the elected members of the Knesset and not with self-appointed judicial kings who rule by mere edict and personal whim; that is to form an Israeli Constitution where the judicial branch is no longer a power onto itself where its positions are self-appointed completely independent from the elected representatives of the people. The appointment for Supremes currently in use in Israel is slanted giving the sitting Supremes, the State Attorney (who is also chosen from the judicial hierarchy) and members chosen from a body made up of “respected lawyers” (respected by the judicial branch of course) and just sufficient members of the Knesset so it cannot be said they have no input but not so many as their input truly matters, especially since some of the Knesset Ministers prefer rule by judicial fiat. Since the Knesset will never likely decide to draft a Constitution and the Supremes will very likely do everything in their power to claim that any such Constitution is unconstitutional as it will negate the Basic Laws which empower those self-serving Supremes.

The time has come to end this insult to the rule by the people and make a Constitution which will lead to the judicial appointments being made by perhaps the Prime Minister for the highest of the courts and the Knesset having the right to advise and consent such appointments. The lower courts should be relegated to the local governance such as the city, town, kibbutzim or other appropriate body. The tyranny of the robes must be brought to an end and the people empowered to at least elect those who ratify judicial appointments. While Israel is writing a Constitution, at long last, perhaps there can be a second ruling house which represents the many individual local governments such that they have a direct influence to influence the items under which they are forced to operate and make the Knesset members and Prime Minister be directly elected using direct representation to replace the current system which rewards obedient little politicos who know how to take orders and are not at all representative of the people but merely representatives of the political machines. Obviously the Knesset will also be up in arms against such changes as will the political party elites who have grown comfortable doing as they please as they are not in any way owing to the people for their Ministerial positions, they owe the party leaders which results in a Knesset made to order by the Prime Minister and a few other party elites, not the people. The current ruling between the unrepresentative Knesset Ministers, Prime Minister, and the overriding by edict Supreme Court Justices is so foreign and contrary to the guidance in Torah which demands that those who rule to be humble before the people, the current system does nothing to humble and everything to promote effete leadership who believe they are above the little people and know so much more and better than those little people. Time for us little people to wake them to an idea, the idea that rulers must be brought to be humble before the people just as G0d directed.
