Jerusalem Coming Attractions Next Week

 

Jerusalem will become a driving nightmare next week while both United States Presidential security and Secret Service plus Israeli security for the Prime Minister and close to half the Knesset, Mayor of Jerusalem and a list of unknowns who deserve safety as well all gathering at the scene of the dedication and opening of the American Embassy in Jerusalem, the capping off of President Trump recognizing Jerusalem as the Capital City of Israel, even its eternal Capital. We have been informed through rumor and unofficial reports and semi-official reports that, as we stated yesterday, Donald Trump’s Daughter Ivanka and Husband Jared Kushner will be making an appearance at the grand opening of the American Embassy in Jerusalem. This means, Presidential level security or higher will be in place. The Secret Service will be thoroughly, exhaustively efficient and competent in their security put in place and attention to detail in assessing threats. Their work will probably be set just that little bit higher level as this is Jerusalem. Then there is the Israeli security which will be in place to protect Donald Trump’s Daughter Ivanka and Husband Jared Kushner above and beyond that in place for the Israeli VIPs who will be attending plus possibly other important people. This will mean that certain roads, bus routes and other forms of travel will be diverted, in some cases for no reason which is obvious or understandable. Some of these obstructions will be familiar to Jerusalem natives who have experienced these inconveniences before but they will probably complain that this time they went too far. The only reality that matters is that nothing untoward occurs to those attending the opening, traveling to the opening, leaving the grand opening, or simply visiting Jerusalem will be very safe almost anywhere within the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem corridor with an emphasis on Jerusalem and Ben Gurion International Airport. The safest place on Earth will be this area of Israel during the three days around the opening of the American Embassy coinciding with Israel’s 70th anniversary. The Embassy will initially be located in the Arnona neighborhood, in a modern building that now houses consular operations of U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem.

 

The reports that President Donald Trump is also potentially considering attending will make little difference to the level of required security. It likely will not even make any difference in the roads blocked and the detour routes and all the other security arrangements. Granted, should the President attend, and we really wish he would be there, as it would add much to the meaning of this dedication. He began this with his Jerusalem announcement and this would be the exclamation point which could only help. If the President is concerned about his attending making peace more difficult, not to worry, as long as Abbas and Hamas are in existence, then peace will not happen, as they do not desire peace, they desire all Israelis dead. President Trump should most definitely come to celebrate the fruits of his efforts. He signaled the importance and direction he intended for the emphasis of his foreign policy with the selection of his Ambassador to Israel, his choice of Ambassador to the United Nations and his establishment of a special group to affect his policies in the Middle East. This was further established with his statements about the unviability of the Iran Nuclear Agreement and his slowly sliding towards pulling out of the agreement and placing embargoes back on Iran, which President Donald Trump announced Tuesday where he called the 2015 agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) an “embarrassment” that “should never have been reached.” The President added, “After the sanctions were lifted, the dictatorship used its new funds to build nuclear capable missiles, support terrorism, and cause havoc throughout the Middle East and beyond.” President Trump stated pointedly, “The agreement was so poorly negotiated that even if Iran fully complies, the regime can still be on the verge of a nuclear breakout in just a short period of time. The deal’s sunset provisions are totally unacceptable.” This and his declaration recognizing that Jerusalem was exactly as King David declared, the eternal capital of the Jewish State. Some things simply are beyond man’s ability to alter, something all the previous Presidents thought their wavers prevented the truth; it did not. The Palestinian Authority, PLO, Fatah and every other organization which has any relation to Mahmoud Abbas have all called for everyone officially attached to their organizations, parties, governing groups, terror organization or any other identity to boycott the establishment of the new American Embassy in Jerusalem. This, they believe, will ruin the reality of the establishing of the Embassy of the United States in Jerusalem. They all have a very high view of themselves and we ask what difference does their refusal make and who actually expected them to come and applaud the opening of the United States Embassy, especially in Jerusalem. Hamas has decided that they will breach the border fence between Gaza and Israel and storm Jerusalem foiling the attempt to establish the United States Embassy in Jerusalem. Hamas has sworn that this will be the finale to their Gaza month of riots and it will be a grand spectacle. Some people are risking the lives of the youths who unfortunately believe what they have been fed and even believe their efforts will prove invincible and they will overwhelm the Jews. They have been fed a regular diet about the cowardly Jew who cannot find the strength to stand up to their grandness of will and their Arab will which Allah uses to make them into the weapons of the new caliphate and thus impervious to the IDF soldiers. They have been told that their rushing an IDF position will so frighten the Jew soldiers that they will drop their weapons and flee in terror and then they can use those weapons to kill the fleeing soldiers. Many of them believe the entirety to be a lark, a game where they play the part of the indignant and insulted party and the Jews are not going to use force to prevent their efforts because, well, because that is what they are told to believe and all too often the IDF appears reluctant to use deadly force. This has reinforced this idea in their heads that the IDF is scared to actually shoot them. It is honestly a sad reality that the reluctance of the IDF to take lives needlessly and without overwhelming need might lead to them needing to shoot into a crowd of hundreds of youths who have been told by their Hamas leaders that their time to storm the fence and march on Jerusalem has finally come. These Hamas leaders will be right behind them all the way, about two or three miles behind them. Hopefully non-deadly force will be all that will be necessary to prevent the youth from reaching a point where deadly force is the only option left to the soldiers.

 

This brings us to the question of what happens if the worst-case scenario should come to pass. There are several such scenarios. The mass of youths breaching the Gaza fence is the most obvious and among the most dangerous. The best scenario with this would be water cannons and other nonlethal crowd control methods, even to include sound amplification methods, will be sufficient to prevent an extended breach. Should the Hamas effort include people shooting at the IDF from within the breaching crowd, that will leave no choice but to return fire and hopefully snipers can pick off only those with weapons and the IDF troops not be forced to fire into a crowd of apparently unarmed individuals simply because they are taking fire from somewhere within the group. This was a tactic used before in the Gaza Wars where Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters would grab a younger child and run from one position to another position holding the child to their torso using them as a bulletproof vest. This has been brought up at the United Nations by Ambassador Haley.

 

The other item which must be guarded against, and this is where preparations and intelligence serve as the best hopes, is to be ready to intercept and prevent any attack on the ceremonies by terrorists or other forces. Hamas has rockets which are capable of reaching Jerusalem and Hezballah and the IRGC have many missiles which could be used to target specific targets within Israel, anywhere within Israel including Jerusalem. The Palestinian Authority does not have the rocket capability compared to Hamas and the Iranian backed Hezballah and IRGC, but it would not take much of a rocket to cause an international incident. Such an attack does not even need to be remotely accurate, simply anywhere within a number of blocks would be sufficient to shut down the ceremony unless serious orders were given to ignore the distraction, as the dedication cannot be prevented by such an act. Such a decision could only come from one of two people, President Trump or Secretary of Defense Mattis. There is only a chance that one of these gentlemen will be present to give such an order, and he is still undecided. There are other threats which will overshadow the preparations and potentially the ceremony itself. The preparations are the antidote to any interference with the ceremony, but that does not mean there might not be some surprises. We hope all will go smoothly and, to be honest, we have sufficient faith in the Israeli intelligence and IDF to feel confident that everything will go smooth as silk.

Radically Changing Power Structures in the Middle East

 

First allow us to note the passing of a great Constitutional scholar and jurist, Antonin Scalia, who was seventy-nine and had served for twenty-nine years on the Supreme Court. There will be a ton of second guessing on whom exactly President Obama will pick to replace the conservative, Constitutional scholar but the one thing we would like to put forth is they will mostly be wrong. President Obama’s previous choices of Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan surprised almost all in his previous Supreme Court appointments. Our guess is of a more general nature as we believe his choice will be an academic who shares the leftist view of a living and ever mutating Constitution in which all forms of new and existing rights can be found to be implied if only the founders had the wisdom of the leftists of today. Whoever President Obama chooses will have the effect of changing the nature and status of the Supreme Court likely for a long while into the future. President Obama has had the rare opportunity to leave an indelible mark on the Supreme Court as he has had the opportunity of appointing one third of the current members sitting on the Supreme Court. This will be the true legacy next to Obamacare and the initiating the accepting of tens if not hundreds of thousands of Syrian and other Middle Eastern “refugees” and potentially resulting in millions by the time the entire story becomes known. One can hope to be pleasantly surprised that the President’s appointment turns out to be more of a purist when interpreting the Constitution as being appointed to the Supreme Court has shown some strange and unexpected results as people take the honor to heart and have the importance of the position lay heavily on their minds and their direction of thoughts on the exact definition of protect and defend the Constitution will inevitably mean to them. We can only hope for a discerning and wise person who weighs all the ramification of their decisions.

Everyone has, including us to some extent, expressed their feelings on the path to nuclear weapons power that Iran received in the Iran Nuclear Agreement 7/14/2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and the inevitable ways it will change the entire makeup and distribution of power across the Middle East and many, again including us, have attempted to predict what the wholesale introduction of nuclear weaponry across the Middle East and potentially slowly seeping across Norther Africa and whether it will make Nuclear Armageddon more likely or usher in an understanding of the new and ruinous implications of starting a war might cause to bring as the outcome. Of course if anyone was looking to bring the greatest possible turmoil, chaos, death and destruction on the world as a whole and not care about the consequences because that turmoil, chaos, death and destruction actually was their only goal, then the nuclearization of the Middle East and beyond is exactly what the doctor ordered. A nuclear armed apocalyptic maniac is the exact formula to a future which could act to set human development back ten centuries or potentially lead to the next round of massive mutations across all surviving life forms eventually leading to the next apex predator to rise to the top of the food chain and with any luck also me closer to human development than the simple brute power of T-rex had attained before they and their species being brought down by an assumed impact wiping clean the slate of development leading to mankind’s rise to eventual dominance.

 

There have been other changes which are probably not as dire or noticeable as yet on how these developments will play out. The biggest has been the introduction of highly effective antiaircraft missile batteries at both ends of the Middle East with Iran to soon have delivery of the Russian S-300 antiaircraft batteries to Iran and the recent deployment by the Russian forces defending their port and the Alawites in the area including Bashir al-Assad of the S-400 antiaircraft batteries. These systems render an air assault or targeting within their range far riskier and problematic. Further, with Russians manning the S-400 antiaircraft batteries in Syria, they are far less likely to be shut-down as was the entirety of the Syrian air defense network by the Israelis when they bombed the nuclear development complex facility in September 6, 2007. These changes in the balance of power brought by these changes are going to be difficult to discern as the variables are significant. One also has to add two other important notes to this volatile mix of conditions, one from the Middle East and the other affecting the Middle East.

The first is the affect that North Korea may play onto the Middle East puzzle as well as the future of the United States. As we and numerous others have pointed out is the fact that both Iran and North Korea have practiced and actually placed satellites into low earth orbits which have polar orbits rather than an equatorial orbit which makes them pass over the United States mainland alternately from the direct north and from the direct south. The northern approach is not that important as it would pass over the teeth of the United States NORAD and other defensive systems placed to intercept any Russian attack during the cold war and thus would be facing formidable defensive structures. The interesting passes are the one approaching from the south, particularly those passing over Mexico or the Gulf of Mexico and crossing over the United States anywhere from New Mexico to Arizona where the entirety of the United States monitoring systems have one of the largest blind-spots and thus vulnerability. Both Iran and North Korea have practiced what is understood by military strategists to be the perfect height and orbit for delivering an EMP, or Super EMP which is the latest craze, device to explode near the center of the United States and southern Canada taking out the entirety of the North American power grid. The resultant damages to the transformers and other high voltage system hardware as well as destroying virtually all of the software run control systems would result in as high as ninety-five percent civilian deaths in the first decade with the largest loss being at the front end two years having the greatest impact.

 

Such an assault could effectively take out almost all of the ground based systems the United States would be reliant on for its defense from invasion or to retaliate against their attacker. This would not mean the perpetrators of such an assault would be free and clear of retribution raining down on their heads as the United States has a large enough contingent of its forces located around the globe that United States power projection would remain credible. The large nuclear missile carrying submarines, often called Boomers (hey, we do not make up these names, honest) would still carry in their tubes sufficient nuclear strike capabilities of destroying virtually the entirety of human existence globally and definitely could remove the populations of North Korea and Iran without losing their critical and definitive threat against any others planning in taking advantage of the problems back home caused by such an attack. Where this would bring little solace to the Americans facing brutish conditions as their entire food and other supply networks would have been destroyed in such an attack, this deterrent power of the United States nuclear powered Navy that eventually the United States would return onto the world stage meaner and leaner but even more determined to take vengeance unto which the world has never known. The last part in this section of the puzzle is that Iran and North Korea have had a high level of cooperation in nuclear development and rocket/missile technology. Keeping such in mind, the recent test carried out by North Korea of a hydrogen powered nuclear device now believed to be, here comes the new buzzword, Super EMP device capable of on detonation generating a series of EMP Gama-radiation waves which could destroy if detonated over Kansas City or St Louis or anywhere between which would be sufficiently potent to effect sensitive electronics in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D. C., Norfolk Naval Base, Andrews Airforce Base, the Pentagon (except for its shielded emergency generators), Richmond on down to Atlanta, Georgia. That would include the East and West Coasts leaving potentially the Coronado Naval Base and Marine Base intact and slight possibility of not destroying the Bremerton shipyards. Still, such a wide ranging area of destruction of electronic devices would be devastating and would be felt world-wide as there would be other ramifications such as GPS satellites not receiving update information largely controlled by the United States and a loss of large sectors of the Internet, phone networks and any other functions which pass through the United States communications hubs which carry the largest volume of the entire world’s communications. This would have far reaching effects many of which are irreplaceable and even unpredicted. The best case scenario, and only best case scenario, is that such an attack never occurs; but with a child-like egotistical and maniacal megalomaniac in charge in North Korea who believes himself one of the most powerful people ruling a giant amongst nations who murders any general or even family member who attempts to implant even the slightest glimmer of reality into the equation being executed on the spot, who knows? Just think about the day, which might be today or tomorrow, when Kim Jung-un decides it is time to teach the United States a lesson. Just ponder that for a moment and then try to return to your normally scheduled day as such would never happen, would it? Adding the Iranian fanatical and suicidal Mullahs in Iran and have fun sleeping tonight, they do not really mean it when they claim to desire bringing chaos, turmoil, misery and a general state of conflagration worldwide just so their messiah the Twelfth Imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi, who will emerge from his hiding place down a well in Qom where he has been hiding since before the year 1000 AD. You cannot make this stuff up. So there is that threat and they share technology and many believe the tested nuclear Super EMP device tested by North Korea recently was actually an Iranian design and was carried out by North Korea for the Iranians so they would not break their treaty quite yet.

The other side of the coin is Israel. The Israelis have not been taking all these developments as fait accompli but instead have been working, one could say feverishly, on their layered missile and aircraft defense systems. The world was given a demonstration of the effectiveness of the Iron Dome on locally launched missiles, mortars and rockets during the last Gaza war. Since then there have been further upgrades made possible by the data acquired during that conflict. Many of the upgrades were software but the other was a new interceptor which would improve the accuracy and lethality of the system, a system which already proved to be over ninety percent accurate in its initial deployment during the last Gaza Hamas war. Israel also has a multi-layered system of interceptor which would make interception possible on an ICBM or Continental Ballistic Missile such as what Iran would need to use if launching from within their borders. Should they launch from Syria or Lebanon then the intercept would be performed by a faster reacting system such as the Iron Dome or other slightly more encompassing system. The kind of layered system which will be required to keep Israel and the Israeli population safe from any device with the emphasis on early detection and removal of threats on their ascendant prefecture over the downward flight as it is most often on the approach to target after apogee that missile systems deploy avoidance technologies. While the Israeli nuclear capability has been pondered and guessed at, it is still not 100% proven if such systems exist or where and how they would be stored and/or deployed, what delivery systems exist and whether these systems kept in hardened bunkers atop ICBM and Continental Ballistic Missiles or if they exist, are they simply bombs requiring aircraft to fly the mission to deliver these weapons which may not even exist. As we covered recently on February 13, 2016 in our article What Israel Must Learn from President Obama concerning, amongst other items of importance, the F-35 JSF and its serious limitations and no freedom of action when using these fifth generation fighters that they make second guessing any nation relying on these systems to come under United States control potentially at the most critical of moments. Further, the fact that an EMP device would necessarily affect the very support systems which would allow the F-35 JSF to deploy would be destroyed or isolated such that they could not release the aircraft when most needed, the F-35 JSF would become just so much advanced electronics and composites composited dead on the runway. There are a number of other links to other articles both ours and outside corroborative articles all worth a quick read as they lay out much of the thought patterns since even before 2010 when we first finally got around to addressing the next generation of aircraft which are going to become a necessity for air defense at close range and possibly further missions run from a control aircraft. As is noticeable the world is changing, the sides are lining up and one errant move could force ramifications too dire to face but face them we must; otherwise, they could occur and have no mitigating systems in place to avoid hostilities falling into place where one act creates another leading to a more vigorous act which forces a full deployment and the next thing you know the Grand Duchess Gloriana XII of the Duchy of Grand Fenwick will order Prime Minister Count Rupert of Mountjoy to deploy their finest archers to voyage across the seas and attack to defend the honor of the wines of the Duchy of Grand Fenwick from a California cheap imitation. The troops under Field Marshal Tully Bascombe, a recent promotion of sorts, assault the United States and , well, you will need to rent the movie “The Mouse that Roared” and enjoy Peter Sellers at his hysterical best, well, next to the Pink Panther. Unfortunately the world today is almost as insane as the Mouse that Roared but all too dangerous to really joke about, but we must keep a balance and our sanity so some light hearted entertainment might mitigate the sense of dread, well, for around an hour and a half. Think we will make some buttered popcorn and watch a movie, later.

Israel Elections are Upon Us Tomorrow

 

Now it is weeks, though it seems like years, since the government was dissolved and it is March 16, 2015, the day before elections. When these elections were called by then Prime Minister Netanyahu and the right wing Likud and Jewish Home voting with the opposition to dissolve the Knesset, the going media commentary reported the coming floodgates being opened and the guarantee that Likud and a coalition of purely right wing parties would win well over the necessary sixty-one mandates and not need to include what had proved to be the troublesome egoistic parties of Tzipi Livni’s Hatnua (The Party) or Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid (There is a Future) in the coalition. This was presumed to permit the formed right wing, nationalist and Zionist coalition free of the attempts to form a coalition cutting out Likud, Jewish Home and including Labor and other parties finding a coalition to assume power without any elections, an unprecedented virtual coup by Lapid and possibly Livni. The tenor of the campaigns has revealed the designs on power and the Prime Minister’s seat by Livni and Lapid have been thoroughly revealed beyond any doubt. Tzipi Livni forged a coalition with Labor in order to guarantee her Hatnua Party inclusion in the next government despite it polling beneath threshold and has even finagled to share the Prime Ministership with Yitzhak Hertzog despite not having the backing from the public warranting her attaining such an importance while Lapid made some commentary that should he garner the support he dreams his Yesh Atid Party will garner then he had already figured how he could form a coalition as well placing him in the Prime Minister’s chair. The biggest change since the new elections were called has been the media’s slanted coverage and misrepresenting positions and using questionable polling have potentially drawn the results of the election into question and currently the leftist media have placed the Labor Hatnua misnamed “Zionist Camp” as having a comfortable lead and claiming that Likud and Netanyahu are sinking and soon to be thrown from power. The truth be told, the future of Israel will rest on the next government coalition’s ability to hold the line and resist the growing pressures and demands from United States President Obama and his administration’s attempts to require Israel to return to the pre-Six Day War lines leaving half of Jerusalem and all of Gaza, Judea and Samaria presumably under the rule of the unity Fatah-Hamas-Islamic Jihad governance. Such would place virtually all Jewish holy sites beyond Israeli borders and thus not only beyond the reach of any Jew to visit but also likely to be just as destroyed and razed as if these holy sites were surrendered to ISIS. But the real question is what exactly are the Israeli elections being held tomorrow actually addressing beyond who becomes Prime Minister and who would make the best Prime Minister from those who actually might have sufficient mandates to form a coalition, Tzipi Livni/Yitzhak Hertzog power sharing of two years each, Benyamin Netanyahu, Yair Lapid, the leaders of what is referred to as the Arab Block or Naftali Bennett?

 

Before anything can be considered, we need to define the greatest challenge which the new incoming Prime Minister will face once a coalition has been formed. Oddly enough the greatest challenges the next Prime Minister will face will not come out of Europe, from the Unity Government of Fatah/Hamas/Islamic Jihad, from the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) movement, nor from the United Nations. The challenge will come from what many, including many who desire to be the next Prime Minister, believe to be the closest of Israeli allies, the United States. The good news is that the threat coming from the United States does not have universal acceptance as the Congress remains strongly allied and friendly and supportive of Israel though a few too many actually still believe in the two state solution and the Oslo Accords, nor does the threat come from the majority of Americans where Israel still received support by over a ratio of two to one and still approaching three to one. The menacing threats against Israel are formidable and very adept at arousing support from thousands who will be available to man the parapets and be bussed all the way across the country when called upon. These forces came out from coast to coast and north to south to protest presumably racist police presumably having targeted and murdered a gentle giant in Ferguson, Missouri and then in another confrontation in New York City and these demonstrations have been sustained for months even despite the murder of two police sitting in their cruiser in New York and the shooting and severely injured two police standing in front of the Ferguson police station monitoring the protest taking place across the street. The grand juries in both cases found the police not to be at fault and to have acted within the guidelines of their departments and not to have committed any criminal acts. So, we have already witnessed the ability of President Obama and the assistance by Attorney General Holder generating protests despite the innocence of the police even after the evidence being combed through with a very fine toothed comb and still not establishing any culpability of the police. The only accusation they were able to uncover was what was referred to as “Disparate Impact” of arrests and traffic stops, a statistical fact which would very probably be true in virtually every police department with more than twelve officers. The ability of the Community Organizer in Chief and his Attorney Instigator along with such supporting advisors such as Samantha Power, Susan Rice, new Middle East National Security Council appointment, Robert Malley, are all known for their antipathy towards Israel and have other fellow travelers with some of them even being Jews who are more close with their progressive politics than they are to supporting Israel will present a formidable assault team just waiting for the new Israeli government before they launch their broadsides. The appointment of new Middle East National Security Council Advisor Robert Malley was the final straw which removed all doubt of where President Obama was intending to head concerning all things Israel. Looking back all the way to 2008 and Senator Obama’s initial run for the Presidency and we find his appointing Robert Malley to his foreign advisory team and then firing him shortly thereafter due to protestations from numerous Jewish organizations. When Robert Malley was appointed subsequently to head the foreign relations with Iraq and Iran President Obama made assurances to numerous progressive but still pro-Israel organizations and groups that Malley would be restrained from and never deal with anything concerning Israel. Now that the Jewish vote cannot affect President Obama as all elections are gone and he is in the home stretch so is free to do as he pleases and no longer care whose toes he treads or even stomps on while he finally can act to take out those he wishes to destroy but was unable before to act too overtly. Israel is at the head of that list and is also partially behind the leniency being shown the Iranian nuclear program as President Obama has been supportive the leader of the Shiite world and plans on crowning Iran as the new hegemonic power in the Middle East supplanting both Egypt and Saudi Arabia as well as allowing Iran to be the nuclear balance against Israel. This is behind his plans to make any agreement with Iran as an executive agreement which will be considered a guideline which will be considered to be advisory and not binding thus not a treaty as much as an understanding such that President Obama will claim he can bypass Senate ratification as this is not a treaty or any other binding agreement covered by the Constitution of the United States. This was the advisory out of Iran in response to Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton’s open letter to Iran’s leaders signed by forty-six Senate Republicans where they basically echoed exactly the points made by President Obama about why the Congress, even the Senate or especially the Senate, will have absolutely no say in what is agreed upon in the P5+1 and Iran talks. President Obama has now not only gone to the extreme in his desire to remove Congress from any actions he desires to take but has dived into the deep end in challenging the Constitutional restraints presumably limiting President Obama in his final two years. This bodes poorly for Israel as no matter whom Israel elects and President Reuven Rivlin chooses to form a coalition and succeeds in doing so.

 

President Obama announced his intentions almost as soon as he took office when he stated that the solution of the Arab-Israeli conflict would be the forming of an Arab State using the Green Line, the 1949 Armistice line, as the border. President Obama then forced a building freeze on Prime Minister Netanyahu which officially lasted for ten months but has unofficially continued ever since with announcements for tenders to build but somehow the required documents or authorizations always manage to get hung-up and the structures never get built. There has been little if any delay in the destruction of Jewish buildings ordered by the Supreme Court though Arab buildings with similar orders seldom have the demolitions carried out. During the war in Gaza against Hamas and Islamic Jihad, which was brought on by the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli youths followed soon thereafter by daily increased rocket and mortar attacks on the Israeli southern towns and kibbutzim closest to Gaza with the range of attacks growing daily as well until they struck Tel Aviv, then began the war as such attacks had to be halted, President Obama decided that a single ground-to-ground rocket which landed approximately half a mile south of Ben Gurion International Airport was sufficient a threat to cancel all flights by United States carriers from entering Israeli airspace thus closing the airport. A number of European nations also forbid their airlines from using Ben Gurion International Airport. These shuttering of Israeli airspace was despite the knowledge that there was an Iron Dome placed south of the airport plus two other Iron Dome units in the proximity guarding Tel Aviv and Jerusalem which made it next to impossible for anything launched from Gaza of threatening any airliners. There was also the additional requirement inserted between the United States and Israeli militaries which under war conditions are by treaty allowed to resupply Israeli needs straight military to military without need of further validation then being required to receive State Department approval which prevented any resupply of Israel during the conflict in Gaza. This was a breach of treaty and an illegal act which President Obama simply ignored the law of the land as treaties take on once ratified. This exhibits that President Obama has no regard for treaties, agreements, requirements of the United States Constitution or the need to include Congress in any action where such is required by that same Constitution and thus is ruling as if he were Emperor Imperialist of the United States and placing himself above the law. These acts by President Obama are setting precedents should he be permitted such and allowed to trample the Constitution and its limitations on Presidential power that will in the future allow for the destruction of the rule of law and replace it with an imperial presidency which will further take the United States into being under the rule of man, a very dangerous place. This is exactly how President Obama plans on acting, with complete contempt for Congress and with impunity when it comes to empowering Iran and destroying Israel in every way possible and simply daring the Congress to stop his actions.

 

President Obama will also make it known to Arab leadership that should they desire to take Israel before the Security Council that the United States is prepared to abstain from and vote and will withhold its veto whenever able and that they may count on such being the default position of the United States for the remainder of his term in office. This leads Israel to a very dangerous place where if those who have made it their campaign promise and predicated their every statement to promising to repair any supposed damage which Prime Minister Netanyahu may have caused between the Israeli government and the administration of President Barack Obama and by working with President Obama in establishing the two state solution by whatever means are required. These statements have been issued by many who are referred to most often as centrists or center left but not any referred to as far right wing or nationalist backers of the settlements causing an impediment of peace. One must wonder as to what those supporting the two state solution plan on doing should Mahmoud Abbas refuse to make peace unless a complete return to the Green Line with no swaps and a total right of return as well, will they grant the whole set of demands when President Obama advises that they accept these terms as it will be worth doing so as it will finally bring peace. There have been a few statements from Yitzhak Hertzog where he parroted the answers given by Benyamin Netanyahu when they appeared to a debate between them just this weekend, but I have doubts that Hertzog would really stick to such a position if President Obama demanded he surrender all of East Jerusalem as well as Judea and Samaria while accepting five or more million refugees from all the refugee camps and probably beyond as any Syrian refugee who might find an opening to claim refugee status not from Syria but from the Palestinian refugee centers which were in Syria before the civil war. Such an opening if permitted could add near countless refugees being foist upon Israel drowning Israel with Arab refugees who would vote Israel out of being a Jewish state at the very next elections. Probably the best Prime Minister Israel might elect would be a brick wall or whoever comes closest to resembling a brick wall when it comes to surrender to the whims and wiles of President Obama. The unfortunate truth is that the President of the United States would allow Israel’s complete and utter destruction as to it being the homeland of the Jews, and as such, a Jewish State. As to who might be such a person, well, that will be left to the Israeli voters tomorrow and the one promise is that, whoever is chosen to form a coalition will be forming the fate of Israel and the Jewish people in their hands, may they be capable hands guided by G0d and may they be girded with the truth, that by International Law and treaty the lands from the west bank of the Jordan River to the beaches on the Mediterranean Sea, every square millimeter of lands belong to Israel and though all other rights are granted to the inhabitants, the Israeli government is empowered to decide who is granted political power and thus may vote in Israeli elections. This was decided by the fifty-two nations unanimously, the entirety of the League of Nations, in 1921 with the ratification of the San Remo Conference which was further validated by the United Nations Charter Article 80 which recognized the Mandates and all other standing treaties and conferences from the League of Nations remained valid and fully applicable and backed by the United Nations as if enacted by that body as well. Perhaps whoever becomes the next Prime Minister of Israel when standing before the United Nations General Assembly next fall, assuming the next government makes it that far, can read to the assembled the contents of the San Remo Conference and remind them of Article 80 of the United Nations Charter and thus put an end to this futile debate which is invalid simply due to International Law which so many claim to desire. Perhaps it is time to give them the truths about International Law and how it may not be the friend they think it be.

 

Beyond the Cusp
