Who Leads the Free World?

The United States has for the time abrogated their right to be the leader of the free world. Despite the United States military being the most capable and well-armed and trained that the world has ever witnessed, they have been relegated to sentry duty and policing their own areas and otherwise been retreating from the world scene. The rumors that President Obama has recognized his error and is about to send some troops to fight against the Islamic State is but fifty troops who are not to engage beyond being spotters for air strikes and possibly performing training the indigenous troops will only cause the Islamic State to shift their positions more often, set up more dummy camps which look and sound on radio chatter as if they are an actual base and also doing a similar thing with tank formations in order to get the United states to waste their ordinance striking decoys just as was done in the Balkans.

Where next to look? Europe might be a logical place when one judges solely by history, but after World War II the United States basically neutered the Europeans such that their navies basically were relegated to the strength to perform coastal patrols and little more and their armies were basically reduced such that to field an effective army sized assault would take a combined force of much of the European Union nations which would lead to numerous other problems such as unit cohesion and command and control protocols and division of risk and other minutia some of which would still be important. Oddly enough the two nations in the free world who might have the resources militarily might be Canada and Australia but both currently have governments which would preclude their taking such grand risks. India has a respectable sized military but their equipment and training would likely need upgrading and the time to teach their commanders throughout the ranks how to utilize the features of modern command and control with which warfare becomes more effective and individual units with the right support made available in a timely manner and knowing how to anticipate such requirements through analysis would take quite some time. Much of the rest of the world are beyond consideration simply due to their voting records in the General Assembly which also would make a number of Europeans suspect as well. If one were to record all the votes taken in the past seventy-five years in the United Nations General Assembly one of the countries, the very few and possibly only nation, that had voted nearly if not perfect with the United States is Israel.

There are a few others which vote most often with the United States both in the Security Council and in the General Assembly. Those are Canada, Czech Republic, Israel, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Panama, and Palau. Together the army they could raise even if the rest of the European Union nations were added as well as Australia, Japan, India and the Philippines and your fieldable force would not exactly be formidable. The only nations to actively challenge United States President Barack Obama and the rest of the nations in backing the horrific Iran nuclear deal, which guarantees Iran developing and becoming a nuclear armed state in approximately an even dozen years should they obey the terms and if they do not obey the terms and simply go as fast as they are able then, by this time next year probably the Iranians will have produced three to ten deliverable weapons depending on how much Highly Enriched Uranium they have already stored at some undisclosed location plus the amounts they can produce running all their centrifuges running full-speed in long cascades all the time. But wait, it could be worse and in many ways it already is.

There are other major problems around the globe and more specifically across the Arab world of the Middle East and extending through Northern Africa (MENA). Taking the lead in this troubled region are Syria and Libya, not a total surprise. Another contender would have been Egypt if not for the secondary protests which demanded the army take control and run new elections where more parties which formed as a result of the initial efforts of the Arab Spring, an idea which implicitly bore witness to the chaos which has swept other regions as well emanating from the lack of the guidance and “interference” by the United States. The leading from behind was more like leading from within the gates of the White House as President Obama was leading from so far behind the United States almost had no influence and was of little assistance after the governments started collapsing. What was supposed to be an Arab Spring rapidly became the Arab Winter. The fracturing in Libya into tribal enclaves and Islamist sects, all of which take little note of those claiming to be the nation’s government though they control only most of the capital city of Tripoli. Syria has presented the world with the spectacle of a bloodbath which has claimed the lives of approaching half a million civilians and large numbers of military and militia casualties. The entrance of an overtly strong and well organized group took such advantage to grasp large tracks of lands in both Syria and in another area where death and chaos reigned in central Iraq’s Sunni areas. This group is of course the Junior Varsity, as referred to early on when if the United States President had entered the battle in strength for a brief period in the early stages they could have struck the forming Islamic State inflicting serious damage and death and possibly have captured or killed much of their leadership returning the forces into the disarray they suffered from before being organized by the Islamic State. Now this group commands lands greater in size than the United Kingdom and will likely grow stronger and gain more followers swearing their fealty all across the central Arab Middle East. The United States response had been an extremely weak and ineffective bombing campaign where often pilots return with their ordinance still in place as their target area had no targets and their search for suitable targets were unsuccessful and they were forced to return to base when fuel ran low. The fifty man force about to be unleashed by President Obama will likely prove the greatest military farce of his Presidency.

The Middle East is not the only problem though when the problem is financial; its effects are more readily concealable. The difficulties in Europe can also be traced back to the United States as when the American public’s buying power becomes strapped, then every market in the world loses their primary market. In Europe the economic situation grew so severe in a number of states with Greece and Spain being unable to cover their difficulties and Greece even having riots over the difficulties and many police departments turning to foot patrols in the neighborhoods closest to the station houses as their vehicles were out of gas and the precinct out of funds. Some Fire Departments ran on crews who were often unpaid but had firefighters who refused to allow such an inconvenience to leave the people unprotected from fires. These were the modern heroes.

Meanwhile, even with the encouragement of President Obama who has signaled through unofficial channels which have included members of his administration have encouraged former allies of the United States of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to actively seek assistances and alliances with Soviet Russian holdover of the old ways and now President of modern Russia Vladimir Putin, though some of his actions prove his throwback to a former age and desiring to force things back to the good old days with success while the United States remains almost inert, as the United States has taken a pull back on all fronts as the United States imposing militarism was declared by President Obama to be one of the two most damaging influences causing all the strife in the world with the mere existence of the state of Israel being the other evil influence which may explain the cold treatment of Israel and her Prime Minister by the American leader and many in his cabinet and shadow cabinet of Czars. It never occurred to the Obama Administration that the United States presence in near every hotspot was as those tasked to address the situation and as repair and assist and not causality.

This misperception has also been expanded to the Arab/Israeli conflict. President Obama and many of his advisors, particularly Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett and Samantha Power were known anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and probably anti-Semitic problem children. The near universal denials of the slant to Israeli against Israeli security through supporting even the most absurd of Arab Palestinian demands and claims might be causes for concern for Israel and her security and being just one more administration to take the position that it is Israeli settling their ancient homelands and fulfilling Torah that are the problem and the Arab Palestinians are an oppressed indigenous peoples despite the Jewish presence documented to reach back near four-thousand year history and constant existence in Jerusalem since David took the city thirty-five-hundred year ago. This position has slowly been eroding as more and more leaders and people throughout the world have begun to realize that Arab intransigence and demanding that Israel be destroyed and that the destruction of the Jewish State and the genocidal slaughter of her peoples are the primary desire of Mahmoud Abbas and the rest of the Arab Palestinian cause. The next realization that will hopefully hatch within their consciousness is that Israel had already given up the entirety of the Gaza Strip in August of 2005, which was soon taken from Mahmoud Abbas and his Arab Palestinian Authority by Hamas and a host of terrorist Islamist entities; returned the entirety of the Sinai Peninsula, which is easily three times the size of Israel itself; plus the Zionist Congress when working to form the Jewish State agreed to permit the British to form Transjordan (Jordan) from over three-fourths the lands of the British Mandate surrendering the lands east of the Jordan river and reaching to Iraq on the east, Syria to the north and Saudi Arabia to the south; so all told, Israel has surrendered sufficient land mass to have increased the actual size of Israel close to ten times. So, do not claim that Israel has not returned or released their claims to land; that is a total myth and quite fallacious a myth at that.

Eretz Yisroel from back in the time immediately after Exodus and before the additional conquest by King David and King Solomon with the original division of the lands between the Tribes covering both sides of the Jordan River. The Israelis and Jews in general could attempt to demand that Eretz Yisroel, the Land of Israel be made whole as was First Apportioned by Hashem.

So, with the United States Executive Branch under President Obama and reflecting his beliefs which reflect with great credit the church he and his family attended for twenty years under the anti-Israel, anti-American, anti-Judeo-Christian ethic and beliefs Pastor the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, it is little surprise that in President Obama’s foreign policy has reflected his animosities and complete lack of foreign policy expertise. This has led to the retreat by the United States on all fronts and allowed for the brash adventuresome actions by American adversaries of Russia and China, amongst others which have bordered on being temerarious, risky and posing a serious threat to any President who follows these policies and their implications if and when such a foreign policy focused President might be elected. The foolhardiness of the American populace who are well permitted to ignore the outside and greater world and simply be concerned with their domestic situations, pretend that economics were their driving passions and even appear to have fallen for an idea whose time was claimed had come and the first Black President be placed in the White House and for his catchy and easily remembered themes of “Yes We Can” and of “Hope and Change”; though there never was anybody asking what changes are we presumably hoping for? The change has mostly been quite destructive in the world’s stage and a complete abrogation of the traditional importance to the world, strategic positioning of the United States military forces, the American political model being represented as the preferred model for good governance with concern for the people over and above the concerns of the political class and as the guarantor of order, human rights, civility and against the most disastrous proclivities of mankind such as genocide, oppressions, and the many other presumed actions the United States could provide the world at large when she is enforcing those principles under which she herself presumably performs her domestic policies. Some might claim that the United States internal policies have also suffered since the start of the Twenty First Century which was preceding the withdrawal and suffering of the rest of the world from the United States reduction of both interactions and direct actions across the globe and especially in the MENA areas which have suffered the most from this abatement.

This is what has led to the situation where the free world had no real or active leadership. Canada’s Stephen Harper took up some of the challenge as did Britain’s David Cameron; but even combined, the two men could not equal even the most minimal actions usually taken by the United States. Additionally, the only nations who are capable of deploying troops across the globe are China and, to a lesser extent, Russia. The pullback of American forces has permitted some adventurism by these two powers which would never have been undertaken had there been a remaining presence in force of the United States. Russia adventurism has extended to as far as Syria and even negotiating got permission for a naval base in Northern Africa. China has been even more interesting as they have been adding to their territories and expending their claims to the waters of the South China Sea by building new islands stretching well into this vital commercial water causeway through which much trade by shipping takes place.

So, who will take up the mantle of leader of the free world? Of all the potential candidates, it is likely that one of the smallest of nations and one which many would claim they would never look to for such directions, still it is Israel which may end up with the mantle due to her location as the cork in the bottle of the Middle East which appears ready to once again explode on the world’s stage starting with Europe. The explosion of “refugees” into Europe over the past weeks is in reality an invasion and not an influx of oppressed refugees. Despite the great care and effort of the media to find groups with children and women to snap their pictures defining the refugees flight into Europe but there have been a few news sources which have shown the reality of large and even overly common numbers of men between the ages of fifteen to forty and extremely able of being a deployed army which is now injected throughout continental Europe and a large number had gathered across Germany. If Europe is going to be capable of managing the troubles to come, they will very likely look to Israel as their model on how to handle their newly found problems. There is one result from this which will serve Israel as well as Europe as Israel will be forgiven taking control of all of Israel as promised in the British Mandate but limited by the later Churchill White Papers where Transjordan was taken out of the lands originally promised and the promise to keep the remainder sacrosanct for the Jewish State for a promise of all the lands west of the Jordan River. This newly found freedom of action will permit Israel to finally take the steps which has been obvious since the Second Intifada from 2000 through 2005 which claimed over a thousand Jewish and Israeli lives and many tens of thousands injured with all too many having life altering injuries with which they have been forced to live with as their injuries were too serious for modern medicine to repair and only to make things as best as the physicians were capable. The memories and witness of the pains still felt resulting from the last Intifada has cast a pall over Israel where people are determined to take any and all necessary steps to assure that no such situation comes into the violence which has been escalating since late last winter and finally made the world news with the stabbings. These attacks have become so permeating Israel with a half dozen to dozen daily and have become the new normal which means they will soon become considered everyday events in Israel and therefore no longer of any importance for the media to grant coverage. Those who choose to mention these attacks will come under criticism for saying the same thing day after day and as the media is no longer covering these events including the daily rioting on the Temple Mount there are no new pictures and as a Jew in Israel I would face certain injury or death were I to attempt to take my own pictures and videos and as such I am not that adventurous. Still, once Europe realizes that they are in the same boat as Israel and that boat is taking on water at an alarming pace, then Israel will be freed of her shackles and freed to do what should have been done ten to twenty years ago. This will put an end to the miscreants, actually murderous swine, who have indoctrinated their children so to send them on suicide missions as their deaths are to their propaganda media’s advantage and must be born witness by the Western Word for being what it truly is, child sacrifices. Their acts are no different than the idolaters from who Joshua led the initial conquest of Israel by the Jews who had come out of Egypt almost thirty-five-hundred years ago leading to the initial founding of the Jewish State which was recently reestablished restoring what is the only indigenous peoples to return from exile twice with one approaching two-thousand years and to retain their language, code of laws (Torah) and remained a peoples avoiding intermarriage for much of their centuries of life amongst other peoples as they resided in their Diaspora. This is the miraculous nation which may soon become a “Light Unto the Nations” as written in her historic Torah and kept alive in her oral laws as well, to quote Fiddler on the Roof, her “Traditions!”

Are European Governments Accusations of Colonialism True?

The title is an interesting question no matter which direction you take aim, at Israeli building beyond the Green Line or perhaps other kinds of building beyond the Green Line. The European Union and numerous European governments’ claims against Israeli building beyond the Green Line, even within Jerusalem which Israel has annexed and granted citizenship with one guard in that they are allowed to vote in local elections for Jerusalem government positions including Mayor and the parliament but are restricted for now from voting in national elections until after the final borders have been set by negotiations and then further rights will be decided. Whether any building beyond the Green Line by Israel is colonialism or simply building on lands initially proposed as areas Israel would retain depends on a number of agreements and definitions. If you base your definitions on International Law then you might be surprised that according to treaties established after World War I and before the League of Nations and which set up the Mandate System which set certain lands to be reserved for establishing certain states for different populations, then you might want to read the San Remo Agreement which set up the British Mandate in order to establish a Jewish state. The British Mandate extended from the Mediterranean Sea to the western border of Iraq and from the French Mandate lands to the north and to Egypt and Saudi Arabia in the south. This was set aside for the Jewish state where by the dictates of the San Remo Agreement the Jewish state was to be a place reserved for the homeland of the Jewish people with provisions that any other people residing within the Mandate lands were entitled to religious freedom, freedom of speech, respected integrity of land ownership and other freedoms with the singular exception of political rights which were to remain under control of the Jewish leadership once the British determined there was sufficient Jewish presence to retain political and legal control over the lands.

This is where things became interesting. A few years into the British Mandate the numbers of Arabs moving into the Mandate areas was growing attracted by the promising increase in the economic activity which had begun growing in the second half of the Nineteenth Century with the initial outset of the Zionist movement and Jews starting to return to their ancestral homelands. The returning Jews added to an already healthy Jewish majority within Jerusalem, a presence and majority which stretched back almost three thousand years as these were Jews who had resided in Jerusalem since before the invasion by Alexander the Great and remained in Jerusalem surviving the atrocities and attempt to disperse the Jewish people to the far flung edges of the Roman Empire so as to punish them and destroy the Jewish people for all future time. The British under the name of Winston Churchill offered the Zionist Congress, the legal Jewish governance within and without of the British Mandate lands, a proposition where the British would be permitted to establish an Arab state for the Palestinian Arabs east of the Jordan River while the lands west of the Jordan River on to the Mediterranean Sea would remain inviolate for the Jewish state into the future and this would also allow the British to be able to make good on their promise to the Hashemite Family to give them lands to rule in exchange for their assistance in World War I, a promise probably made by T. E. Lawrence. The Zionist took the offer despite it reallocating over three-quarters (78%) of the British Mandate leaving them a narrow strip hugging the Mediterranean Sea as it was to their advantage to grant the Arabs their own lands thus they would be better situated to reach a majority population more readily. At this time the British referenced the Jews by calling them Palestinians and the Arabs were called Arabs or Egyptians, Syrians (the largest percentage of the Arab population as Syrian lands under the Ottoman Empire included all of both the French and British Mandates), Turks, Iraqis, Saudis, Tunisians, Yemeni, and other tribal names or even Arab Palestinians, in the case of mixed parentage which was rather common as time passed. By these stipulations the world’s scrambling and screaming to see who can be first to force a new Arab nation west of the Jordan River next to Israel and on as much land as is humanly possible are all working against International Law and many, if not all, of them are fully aware of this deceit.

But what if one believes the claims that an Arab state belongs sharing the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea with Israel because Gaza and Judea and Samaria (called the “West Bank” by Jordan during their illegal occupation after the invasion to destroy the Jewish state after its birth in 1948) were never a part of Israel proper? This also gets into problems the further one peals back the layers of the onion. Let’s look a little deeper and see how it was the Gaza, Judea and Samaria became believed to be rightful Arab lands. Before Israel was born there was a decision made by the United Nations General Assembly recommending a means of the forming of two states starting on May 15, 1948, with one being Jewish and one being Arab. This resolution was like every other resolution out of the General Assembly of the United Nations, a simple suggestion which in order to be binding must be accepted by all parties to the resolution. This resolution was made to the Zionist Congress as the Jewish organization pertaining to the Jewish establishment of a state and the Arab League as the representatives of any Arab interests in forming a state. The Zionist Congress agreed while the Arab League refused the resolution as they had very different plans, they were going to take the entire area and divide it amongst Syria, Egypt and Jordan. This is where things get confusing. With the rejection by the Arab League there was no longer any claim calling for the placement of an Arab state between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea and all plans now reverted to the state under International Law. As we know from the above, International Law granted these lands to a Jewish state unless the Jewish interests decided otherwise and despite the Jewish legal body being willing to allow the General Assembly Resolution, that dissolved as soon as the Arab League refused and Israel, as the Jewish state, now became the sole rightful nation as of May 15, 1948 over all the land from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. So, why is there any contesting of this now?

When May 15, 1948, rolled around there were over a half dozen Arab national armies consisting of but not limited to Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the forces under the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin al-Husseini (who had spent almost all of World War II in Berlin or other areas of the Nazi controlled Europe and made frequent broadcasts calling for the Arabs to rise up and vanquish the British forces in Egypt and British Mandate lands) some forces from Pakistan and Sudan as well as numerous militias and other forces all crammed into the lands surrounding the nascent state of Israel. After a number of cease fires and reigniting of hostilities, the fighting came to a final halt on the different fronts as Israel finally reaching a ceasefire armistice with Egypt on February 24, 1949, Lebanon on March 23, 1949, Jordan on April 3, 1949, and Syria on July 20. 1949. The United Nations finalized the borders by combining the separate Armistice Agreements and melded all these items together and established the “Green Line” which still is used by many as if it has some meaning other than this is where the front lines were when the fighting ended in 1949. Upon the insistence of the numerous Arab powers and the Arab League the “Green Line” was to be denoted as an armistice line and was to never at any time to be construed as a border defining Israel or any other surrounding or bordering state as doing so would have been tantamount to recognizing Israel as an actual and recognizable state, a fact the Arab forces and governments were loath to allow by any means, thus technically the only boundaries which have ever define Israel as having a border are those of the San Remo Conference which defined the borders for the Jewish state as Iraq to the Mediterranean Sea, or if preferred, by the Churchill White Paper which defined the boundaries for Israel into perpetuity as the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea with Lebanon and Syria to the north and Saudi Arabia and Egypt to the south. Following the end of the War to vanquish the nascent state of Israel and slaughter its Jews before they can even breathe the air for a single day, a war that raged for approximately two years if the skirmishes which began even before the November 29, 1947 vote of the United Nations General Assembly for the formation of the state of Israel was even taken, there is even more to the story to be told.

Egypt retained Gaza but never annexed it and recognized it as occupied land partially as they were uninterested in ruling over the area as they found it to pose more problems and caused them more difficulties than they felt it was worth as it had little to offer as far as economics was concerned. Jordan, on the other hand, held the areas of Judea and Samaria and was very interested in the good rich lands and the potentials it had so they not only annexed them but renamed it the “West Bank” so as to remove the reminder that these were ancient Jewish lands of Judea and Samaria, two names dating and referencing back to Torah as well as the Old Testament and also the New Testament. Jordan also realized what importance there was to the Jewish people that they did not possess the Old City and Temple Mount locations of the city of Jerusalem and that by denying the Jews even the right of access or visitation that they were causing the Jewish people grief and pain. For over seventeen years that Egypt held Gaza and Jordan held the “West Bank” there was absolutely no mention of using these lands, either separately or together, to form a Palestinian state or an Arab state by any name. Further, of the entire world only two nations recognized the annexation of the “West Bank” which were Great Britain and Pakistan; not even a single Arab state recognized the annexation, and only Pakistan amongst the over fifty Muslim majority nations ever recognized it. The fact was that both Gaza and Judea and Samaria were seen for what they were, occupied lands; and from whom were they occupied, Israel of course as per the San Remo Conference and the Churchill White Papers. This becomes important later, but first there is another interesting subject into which we should delve.

The interesting date we will want to cover is the day the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) with Yasser Arafat as its leader and beside him as his number two man was Mahmoud Abbas and this all occurred on May 28, 1964. Let us go so far as to quote the Palestine Facts web site at“http://www.palestinefacts.org/” at their page which tells us all about their original designs where they claim, “Since Jordan controlled Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) including East Jerusalem, and Egypt controlled the Gaza Strip at the time the PLO was founded, the PLO was committed to the dissolution of Israel, mainly through the use of armed force.” So, the PLO was originally founded under the premise their mission was to destroy Israel and take over all of Israel for at least the three years before the Six Day War in June of 1967 when after Egypt had set a naval blockade preventing Israeli use of the Straits of Tiran, cutting off the Israeli southern port of Eilat from exiting the Red Sea and accessing Asia and Africa which was defined, after Gamal Abdel Nasser had included closing the Straits of Tiran along with the Suez Canal during the 1956 Suez Canal Crisis as a casus belli for war, and massing troops on the Sinai-Negev border and Syria had massed troops along the Golan Heights bordering Israel and Nasser was broadcasting day and night on television and radio in both Syria and Egypt, two nations temporarily unified as the United Arab Republic (UAR) that the Israelis reacted to the acts of war and initially engaged Egypt and then Syria when Syrian troops swept down off the Golan Heights. Soon thereafter Jordan stated their intent to attack Israel quoting reports from Egypt and Syria claiming their great victories and how their forces were approaching Tel Aviv and would soon meet and finish off the rest of Israel after taking Tel Aviv. Israel warned and pleaded with Jordan not to believe the Egyptian and Syrian propaganda and that they were all lies and actually Israel was winning on both fronts. Jordan took the Israeli pleading as a sign of weakness and proof of Israeli defeat and Jordan declared war. As history reports, at the end of the June 1967 Six Day War Israel controlled the Golan Heights, the Sinai Peninsula and had liberated Gaza from Egypt and Judea and Samaria (West Bank) from Jordan. It was three years and a month after the founding of the PLO (there have been reports that the PLO was originally hatched months before during a KGB meeting somewhere in Moscow where the KGB drafted a known operative whom they could control, Yasser Arafat, to head the operation and the KGB also approved of Mahmoud Abbas and several other Arab operatives they trusted to assist in the planning and other duties and the KGB funded much of the PLO operations and gave them provisions) that Israel gained possession of Judea and Samaria which they technically liberated as they initially belonged to Israel before she lost them in the 1948-1949 War of Independence which was really a war initiated by the Arab League with the intention of totally destroying the new Jewish entity, later to be referred to as the Zionist entity by the enemies of Israel. After the Six Day War the PLO did not change their Charter and their mission remained the total destruction of Israel.

Move forward many hundreds of terror attacks later and after the end of the First Intifada to Monday September 13, 1993, to the White House lawn and there with President William Jefferson Clinton and his ever-present wide smile we find PLO chief terrorist Yasser Arafat and Israeli President Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin meeting, shaking hands and both signing the Oslo Accords which recognized the PLO being transformed into the Palestinian Authority and the PLO was to amend their charter to remove the stipulation for the destruction of Israel and replacing it with verbiage recognizing the right of Israel to exist as the state for the Jewish People. Well, guess that little amending part and rewriting the charter such that destruction of became recognition of Israel and further, Israel as the home for the Jewish People never came to fruition which means that the Oslo Accords never were officially enacted. There was one meeting a few years later attended by an American team where the Palestinian legislature assigned a team to investigate the means by which the charter might be amended to meet the requirements of the Oslo Accords thus making them active which satisfied the Americans that the charter would finally be amended. Wrong again as the PLO charter, which acts as the charter for the Palestinian Authority, never did get amended and that committee never met either. But what if Oslo Accords were actually initiated as everybody believes such that it may as well have been honestly enacted as does it matter now as it took on a life of its own. That, too depends on how much of a stickler for the facts one chooses to be, and when it comes to International Law and international treaties come into play.

But let’s humor the concept that the Oslo Accords were validated; what did they actually set up? The Oslo Accords separated Judea and Samaria into thee sectors, Area A, Area B and Area C. The entirety of Oslo recognized that Israel had actually met every demand and stipulation of the United Nations resolutions after the Six Day War and even went further after the end of the Yom Kippur War of 1973 where Israel after the fighting ended had to pull back from their front line which was well on its way to taking Damascus holding position half the way there from the Golan Heights but Israel withdrew back to the Golan Heights, the front lines at the end of the 1967 Six Day War that Israel held and against Egypt Israel had crossed the Suez Canal and was approaching the Nile River at the furthest points of their front lines but after the fighting ceased Israel heeded the demands from the United States, Russia and many European nations and others retreating back across the Suez Canal and forfeiting any control over the Suez Canal despite holding the entirety of the western bank of the canal. When Israel had returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt Israel had returned lands retaining those lands deemed necessary for Israeli defense to be secure. Many nations in the 1970s believed and supported the idea that for Israel to be secure within her borders that this meant Israel retaining all of Judea and Samaria, but things change. The three areas the lands were divided into were denoted as per how it was viewed they would end up being divided after negotiations were completed, which was to take all of three years. Area A was placed under complete security and governmental control of the Palestinian Authority. This placed Yasser Arafat as the ruling person over Area A where there would presumably be elections regularly to choose the leadership over the areas under Palestinian governance. Area B was under Palestinian governance and joint security with both Palestinian and Israeli security being shared and with mutual assistance. Area C which included all of East Jerusalem was under Israel governance and security control with no control of any sort granted the Palestinian Arabs, this area was presumed to become an integral part of Israel, period. What this means is that Israel is free to settle anywhere they please in Area C of Judea and Samaria which includes East Jerusalem. It is only the fact that near the beginning of his first term as President of the United States that President Obama spoke clearly and intentionally, it is our opinion that there was no mistake made or that President Obama was not fully versed and cognizant of the ramification of what he said, he was clear and precise with his choice of words and meant every syllable as he stated, “We believe the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states.” This changed the entire outlook overnight and it took Mahmoud Abbas no time before he called for meetings with his top officials, signaled his willingness to start negotiation immediately with President Obama’s expectation of borders being the 1967 lines finally setting a standard which Abbas could support and Abbas soon afterwards made a trip throughout Europe meeting with heads of state and other ranking politicians talking about the need to press Israel to accept the reality that they were obligated to return all of the lands they had been occupying, that despite the reality that any lands granted to the Palestinians would become occupied Israeli lands that the Palestinians were squatting upon.

That leads us to the most recent of events, the proof beyond question that the European Union in concert with a number of European nations have been financing Arab purchases of lands in many parts of Area C as well as within East Jerusalem. These purchases are illegal under the precise definitions of rights under the Oslo Accords. The European and their Arab accomplices are the ones who are breaking International Law and the Oslo Accords by these scurrilous and clandestine purchases of lands to give to Arabs to manufacture new realities on the ground by acting to finance colonialization of Area C. European Union and European governments engaging in these purchases can and should be charged with crimes against the sovereign state of Israel just as the European Union and European governments who have threatened to sue Israel for illegal land use and colonization of lands not belonging to them by treaty despite their inability to name what treaty of agreement the Israelis were in contravention of by building or taking up residence after purchasing lands, properties or homes and apartments in East Jerusalem and Area C according to Israel’s rights spelled out in Oslo Accords. If the Europeans would desire that the Oslo Accords be discarded as they are no longer viable, then I guess we need to ask the Europeans which agreement they desire to revert to, the San Remo Conference or the Churchill White Paper as Oslo appears to have been abrogated despite the fact that the Palestinian Authority and the PLO both still have refused to amend their charter thus the Europeans are correct in claiming that Oslo has died. It matters little where the world stands on these matters as by any means their buying lands for Arabs in Area C and East Jerusalem is as illegal as acts can be and it is our bet that they are aware of their pretense, duplicity, deceit, faithlessness, chicanery and outright quackery. But what can one expect from a continent which just over seventy years ago was fully complicit in the nefariousness of the Final Solution by which the physically handicapped, mentally challenged, the insane, the Roma, the Serbians, the Jews and all others who did not meet, cooperate, support or obey the Nazis rules and demands or those who had a crisis of conscience were annihilated with factory like precision and the speed and efficiency of a production line. A continent that just over seventy years ago slaughtered without conscience over twelve millions of their own and the nations they conquered innocent civilians of which one in two was a Jew who did no more than worship G0d differently than was expected under the iron fisted Nazi rule. The same continent which has witnessed many hundreds of a percent of anti-Semitism within its society from one end to the other over the past two to three years and can fully expect this trending to continue into the future where one way or the other there will finally be no Jews left in Europe and Hitler and his close advisors and friends’ dream which was thought out and dressed up with a nice bow wrapped around the parchment which carried its fateful and depraved decree down from atop the Wannsee Conference. Perhaps they have not heard that the Jews promised “Never Again” and we meant that. That is the reason that Israel is so vital and the Europeans are fully aware of this fact and that is what is truly behind their condemnations of Israel and their insistence on its defeat even if it must be by stages just as Yasser Arafat put into motion as he too realized that the Jews will fight this time.

Troubling Clouds on the Israeli Horizon

Troubling Clouds on the Israeli Horizon

While there are some who will look upon the recent statements by a small but sufficient sized group from the party of Prime Minister Netanyahu, Likud, that they are prepared to resign from the coalition should Netanyahu make land concessions to the Palestinian Authority. Their position has also been adopted by the leadership of the Jewish Home Party and has been stated by Naftali Bennett numerous times as the peace negotiations continue under increasing pressure from United States Secretary of State Kerry and his team. Normally such threats would be sufficient to put an end to any chance of surrendering lands to the Palestinians except in the case where a final agreement had been reached and a formal treaty which also meets the requirements for Israeli security are addressed and included. Should a final agreement be reached which includes Israeli retention of the Jordan Valley; Israeli control of Jerusalem with emphasis on the Old City, Temple Mount, Kotel and other Jewish Holy Sites; requirements for the Palestinian state to be demilitarized with the IDF responsible for security; recognition of Israel as the Jewish State; and land swaps which permit Israeli retention of the majority of the mislabeled settlements. Of course it has been made extremely evident that these conditions are considered to be deal breakers by the Palestinians as their leadership, especially Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Chief Negotiators Saeb Erekat and Abed Rabbo, have made statements when each of these Israeli positions were first made public insisting that each is now a primary red line which the Palestinians cannot and will not permit thus adding the rejection of these central positions of the Palestinian Authority. None of their protestations are surprising as the real truth of the negotiations is that under the actual Oslo Accords the Palestinians were required to remove the statement calling for the eradication of Israel as the Jewish State from the Palestinian Charter and this initial and crucial demand which stands as one of the required steps for the implementation of the Oslo Accords and validation of intentions allowing for an open and balanced start to the peace process has never been implemented by the Palestinian leadership. There was the one time when there were Western witnesses at a Palestinian Parliament session who were present to assure that the Palestinian Charter would be amended as required where the Parliament voted to discuss the establishment of a committee to research a proper and acceptable rewording of that section of the Palestinian Charter at their next meeting. The next meeting and every one since have not been attended by Western representatives and no such vote has ever been taken nor any such committee established of course meaning the Charter has never been amended to remove the offensive calls for the eradication of Israel.

Obviously the peace process has continued despite the complete lack of good faith from the very beginning by the Palestinian representatives and leaders. The talks have had as much success as has the demand for an amended charter. The most evident change since the Oslo Accords has been the successful propaganda campaign maligning Israel and convincing much of the world that it has been Israel’s lack of efforts to cooperate and meet the Palestinians half way that has prevented a lasting peace providing security for both sides and ending the conflict. This view which has produced the recent calls from Europe to boycott Israel should the peace talks end without a peace agreement. The European threat simply assumes that should no peace be attained through these negotiations that it has to be an Israeli shortcoming and fault and the Palestinians are automatically not held responsible. With such a threat one might ask why there is no similar demand that the Palestinians also be required to reach an agreement with Israel. Obviously the European Union believes that the Palestinians are only capable of being in agreement with an evenhanded peace and that Israel, and only Israel, is capable of rejecting an agreement. This completely ignores the history of the Israeli/Arab state of war. The European Union is completely ignoring the Arab side which was worded very succinctly in Khartoum shortly after the Six Day War with the approval of the “Three No’s”; no peace with Israel, no negotiations with Israel, no recognition of Israel. The invention of an Arab peoples who were indigenous to the area including Israel and had been present in these lands for many thousands of years and predating any claim which the Israelis have made, despite the Arab insistence that there is no record or evidence that the Jewish people had ever resided in Jerusalem or the surrounding lands throughout all of history, was contrived in order to invalidate any Israeli or Jewish claims to the lands, predate and subsume Jewish history replacing the Jews including Abraham and Moses with Muslim versions of Abraham and Moses (and Jesus as they once again did this past Christmas) in an attempt to void any Jewish validity in claiming the area as their ancient homelands.

There was a second reason for the invention of a Palestinian Arab people and that was to use them as a replacement for the whole of the Arab world thus making Israel into the invincible armed presence against the weak and defenseless Palestinians rather than little Israel pitted against the entirety of the Arab and much of the Muslim world. This invention was further enhanced by claiming a history which if inspected bears a suspicious similarity to the history of the Jews with one major exception, the Jews were forced from the lands in the first two centuries of the Gregorian Calendar by the Romans and the Palestinians were supposedly dispossessed by the colonizing Jews who invaded their lands and forced them out in 1948. In order for the claims of the Palestinians to be accepted at face value one has to ignore almost four thousand years of history and many of the agreements, treaties, commission and declarations, especially numerous ones convened at the close of World War I. But there is an easier way to find the truth behind the entire argument being wages against Israel using deceit, lies, subterfuge and a reliance on anti-Semitism. Take the time and research recent history of the last century of Judea and Samaria, renamed the West Bank by Jordon in order to strip the lands of their obvious ties to the Jewish people. The lands were original ruled by the Ottoman Empire which left the area almost devoid of population. For a description of the lands in 1867 one simply needs to read Mark Twain accounting of his visiting Israel where he wrote his impressions in “Innocents Abroad” recounting his trip to Europe and the Holy Land. A short excerpt will give on a general idea of what he found as he wrote this description, “….. A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds… a silent mournful expanse…. a desolation…. we never saw a human being on the whole route…. hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.” Mark Twain described Jerusalem writing, “A fast walker could go outside the walls of Jerusalem and walk entirely around the city in an hour. I do not know how else to make one understand how small it is.” The modern state of Israel came into being in 1948 and was immediately set upon by as many as half a dozen Arab nations’ armies. The ensuing war continued in various stages of activity until peace was declared in 1949 and the Armistice Lines were drawn. At the insistence of the Arab leaders these Armistice Lines, today referred to as the Green Line, were never to be considered to signify borders as if this were to be permitted then Israel would have official borders and thus be a recognized nation state among the nations of the world. The Armistice Lines left with Egypt possessing Gaza, Syria possessing the Golan Heights and Jordan possessing Judea and Samaria. Egypt never annexed the Gaza Strip and refused to take them while accepting the return of the entirety of the Sinai Peninsula when Egypt and Israel reached a peace accord ending their state of war which began in 1948 and finally ended on March 26, 1979. The treaty was arranged by Egyptian President Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Begin and was signed in Washington DC. After the armistice in 1949, Jordan did annex Judea and Samaria and renamed them the West Bank in order to solidify their claims and in the hope of erasing the historic names which were considered to be Jewish. Israel and Jordan also reached a peace agreement on October 26, 1994. This treaty was arranged and signed by Jordanian King Hussein and Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. Jordan refused to take back Judea and Samaria ceding them to Israel only to renege on that claiming to have instead given the Jordanian claim to the area to the Palestinian people. The main problem with this presentation of the lands by Jordan is that Jordan illegally held the lands and while Jordan did claim they had annexed them, only two nations, Britain and Pakistan, ever recognized the Jordanian claim. Even the rest of the Arab League never recognized the Jordanian claim on Judea and Samaria. Since Jordan was an occupying power when they claimed rule over Judea and Samaria, the West Bank, to who did the lands actually belong? The answer refers back to the Churchill White Papers and the Peel Commission. These agreements along with the Balfour Declaration, the San Remo Conference and in the Treaty of Sevres are the major documents concerning the British Mandate and the applicable divisions and uses for these lands and are all recognized officially to this day as they were ratified subsequently with the formation of the United Nations under Article 80 of the United Nations Charter. The only problem is that nobody appears to care about their promises and treaties and prefer to abide by fanciful falsities which they find more convenient than actually enforcing international treaties and accords.
