Apparently Very Few Know the Actual Laws

 

We just read a fantastic article from Israeli National News Editorial Page titled “The myth of ‘land for peace’” written by Eli E. Hertz. Of course, we loved what he had to say as it mirrored much of what we state on a regular basis. He made one point which we would like to expound even further upon, namely, why does the world consistently use the Arabist terminology all the while ignoring the reality of international laws and much research which is readily available. Mr. Hertz specifically called out the world for their use of the phrase, “Occupied Palestinian Territories,” which he correctly identifies as a disingenuous term that misleads the international and every other community finding and worming its way into the lexicon used by all too many NGOs who rant against Israel. Mr. Hertz went through the actual documents from which international law is based, and as we have stated any number of times, all the lands between the Jordan River west to the Mediterranean Sea belong to the Jewish State of Israel. The sole means by which this can be altered is by having the Israeli government actually submit paperwork quitting claim to lands and gifting them to another legal governance. This is the reason that the Europeans, the NGOs, the United Nations, the Arab League, Mahmoud Abbas and all the rest of those opposed to the existence of the Jewish State press the Israeli government to formally recognize statehood of an Arab state carved out of parts of Israel. Some of their logic is breathtaking in its audacity and its unbelievably loose attachment to reality.

 

The first test of Arab claims comes from the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The General Assembly voted urging of the Palestinian Authority observer to request from the International Court of Justice a ruling on the legality of the Israeli terror wall, the wall which reduced suicide bombings to none within three years, with the hope of gaining a ruling which would lead to its dismantling such that the terrorist operations would not be hindered by the barrier. The barrier was cleared as being perfectly legal and within the rights of Israel as the sovereign over the region, but that was just the initial good news for Israel. In addition to being cleared of any wrongdoing, there was an advisory opinion issued as a cautionary warning by Egyptian Judge, Justice El Araby, from the ICJ and who sat in judgement as part of the panel which heard the case from the United Nations General Assembly in 2003 on the legality of the security barrier erected by Israel. The Honorable Justice El Araby warned the UNGA and others that filing further challenges of the legal claims to these lands ran some risks, as he stated,

 

“The international legal status of the Palestinian Territory (paras. 70-71 of the Advisory Opinion), in my view, merits more comprehensive treatment. A historical survey is relevant to the question posed by the General Assembly, for it serves as the background to understanding the legal status of the Palestinian Territory on the one hand and underlines the special and continuing responsibility of the General Assembly on the other. This may appear as academic, without relevance to the present events. The present is however determined by the accumulation of past events and no reasonable and fair concern for the future can possibly disregard a firm grasp of past events. In particular, when on more than one occasion, the rule of law was consistently side-stepped. The point of departure, or one can say in legal jargon, the critical date, is the League of Nations Mandate which was entrusted to Great Britain.” 

 

The straight forward wording of the Honorable Justice El Araby is refreshing in that it plainly lays out as a warning that the Arab arguments against Israel do not have a leg to stand on and if brought before the world courts, Israel is going to win every time. As he so succinctly put it, no judgment for the future can be reached without coming from a solid legal background set by precedent and the stated applicable laws, which when it comes to the Israeli claim to the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, all the cards are held by Israel based on the League of Nations, the Mandate System and Article 80 of the United Nations Charter which all taken together give Israel claim to the lands in question. His advisory basically warned the Arabs not to come knocking on the court’s door expecting to waltz in and leave with being granted whatever they present as their demands, but those do not carry any legal weight. His warnings are specific and make a demonstrative statement and warning against any future of such actions.

 

The insistence by the world in adopting the Arabist terminology that there exists “Occupied Palestinian Territories” only serves to muddy the waters of the debate and do so in a misleading and erroneous manner. The truth of the situation would be more accurately conveyed by terms along the line that these are “Territories Occupied by the Palestinians” of legally Israeli lands. But then, the world has currently adopted almost every Arabist position in their discussions of virtually every subject where the Arab World conflicts with the remainder of the world. Another example of this misuse and twisting of realities is found in claims that Islamophobia is a greater problem than anti-Semitism. This can be proven very easily simply by researching the actual reported cases of these two forms of hatred. The table below shows the actual hate crimes statistics between anti-Semitism and Islamophobic rates over a five-year period from 2012 through 2016 clearly showing that anti-Semitic hate crimes outnumber Islamophobic hate crimes by a factor anywhere from two-to-one to as high as over five-to-one. By repeating the false data as if it were gospel does not serve either population but simply further feeds the mischaracterizing of the Muslims being targeted with greater frequency than Jews are targeted. But apparently the Arabs have adopted the methodology of Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, who postulated, “the principle and which is quite true in itself and that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily,” often misquoted or paraphrased as: “The bigger the lie, the more it will be believed.” But there are other claims made which also fit this paradigm.

 

 

Next, we would like to draw attention to the next misstatement. This is the claim that Israel is threatening to take over the Arab World. That is what they claim, that little old Israel is threatening the entirety of the Arab World. The complete insanity of this claim is immediately and easily recognized by simply looking at a map of the Arab World and Israel. In that map below, Israel is the tiny little red strip of land along the eastern edge of the Mediterranean. The reason why this fabrication is believed by so many is due to ignorance and an inflated view of the size of Israel. Many people believe that Israel is a fairly good-sized nation. When people are told that Israel is approximately the size of New Jersey, the usual and often immediate reply is something along the lines of, “No way.” Such disbelief comes from their view of Israel as one of the world’s great powers and as such it must be large. Well, some good things actually do come in small packages. People read about the inventions coming from Israel, the applications for their phones and computers coming from Israel, agricultural developments coming from Israel, medical advancements coming from Israel and the latest being Beresheet, the little spacecraft which made it all the way to the Moon only to suffer the catastrophic failure to fire its main thruster and slow its decent resulting in it striking the Moon far harder than she was designed to absorb. Still Israel became the seventh nations to orbit the Moon and the forth to actually hit the Moon. Then there is the fact that Israel is often the first nation to set up a field hospital anywhere in the world when there is any large disaster be it a storm, hurricane, earthquake or manmade disaster. These are all things one expects from the United States and thus, as Israel appears to be a match for the mighty America, people mistake Israel for being far larger than she is. There is one advantage to Israel’s diminutive size, one can reach anywhere in Israel from any other point in Israel in under one day driving.

 

Israel and the Arab World

 

The readiness with which the Western World has taken to adopting the Arabist and Islamic references and points of view only serves to assist advancing their narrative giving it preference over all traditional Western beliefs. The willingness, eagerness would possibly be a more accurate term, with which the Western World has come to throw out all of the Judeo-Christian ethos upon which much of the basis for the superiority attained by the Western World has been nothing short of appalling. Despite reluctance shown at times by the Church, the Judeo-Christian ethic is still the basis of common law, the basis for the English and American legal systems, the Enlightenment, the Renaissance and virtually all the advances made by the Western World over the past millennium. One of the reasons given by the progressives for the abandonment of the root of their culture is because of the dogmatic views of sexuality, marriage and numerous other items which largely fall under the classification of morality. Their decision to instead adopt the Islamic agenda is two-fold, first Islam allies with them in their attempts to rid the culture of all things Judeo-Christian and second they are accepting sight-unseen the Islamic Sharia taking the presentation they have been provided by the advance guard of an Islamic infiltration which will eventually become an invasion, just ask Belgium.

 

What will happen when Islamic forces, allied by the far left and other progressives, takes a strong enough foothold that the honest presentation will be made of exactly how Islamic jurisprudence treats such things as homosexuality, marriage, religious freedom and so many other items. When that day arrives, the sad and sorry state that their discarded Judeo-Christian basis for the society with a far more accepting and universal structure cannot be retrieved as once Sharia has been implemented, any attempt at restoring what once was the basis for Western society will now carry a death sentence as once one adopts Islam, there can be no leaving Islam. Anyone leaving Islam after once accepting Islam into their lives becomes an apostate, possibly the only thing more detestable by Islam than being a Jew. There are a number of other minor infractions which carry a death sentence of a variety under Islam. Homosexuals are treated by either being thrown from a tall building, having a wall brought down upon them or hanging, all of which are designed to end with the accused person’s death. Adultery also is punishable by death. The easiest way of putting this is that Islam is not the warm and fuzzy lovable faith which is accepting of all kinds of behavior and aligning perfectly with the leftist progressive agenda, it is as close as in total and complete opposition with the leftist and progressive principles. While we understand that the same can be stated about Judeo-Christianity, at least with Judeo-Christianity we are not being ruled by the Church. When Islam takes hold, there will be only Islam in its most rigid and strict form one can imagine. Everything you may have come to believe about Islam will come crashing down with a finality which will become the most frightening action the Western World will have ever experienced.

 

Take anywhere from two to four hours or so, depending on your reading speed, and read a copy of the Quran. Try and find one which lists the Hadiths in chronological order. To make life easier, we have an introductory piece on the Quran and in the comments are numerous links including some to such copies of the Quran. There is a rule of thumb when it comes to the Quran as some of the verses contradict or even state the opposite of other verses. The later verses supersede the earlier verses which usually means the verses written in Medina supersede the verse written in Mecca where Muhammad originally began his journey. The reasoning for this is called abrogation. Just for your information, the idea of abrogation came after the death of Muhammad, well after his passing, and was in response to a crisis in Islam and is the Islamic version of their reformation. Islam had suffered setbacks and defeats and sought out where they had gone wrong. This was at the end of the “Golden Age of Islam” when the West began to assert themselves. They went back and studied the life of Muhammad and realized that he was rejected and scorned in Mecca but flourished once established in Medina. This mean that the Quranic verse from Medina were superior to the weakness shown in Mecca. The Meccan verses still have their place, they are utilized whenever the Muslims are in the minority as they are currently throughout the West, though this is changing. The calming and acceptance oriented verses of the Mecca Quran are used to quiet any reluctance or pushback against Islam in the early stages of their conquest when they are not powerful enough to force their Sharia upon an unsuspecting public. There is an actual series of steps which the Islamic forces utilize in their takeover of any new lands. We have it in diagram form below. Currently the United States is largely in the first opening stage while European nations span anywhere from the first to as far as the third with some teetering on the forth stage. Once any society reaches the forth stage, their chances at regaining their society and the best hope is to flee or convert now.

 

Five Stages of Islamic Conquest

 

There are some leftist progressives who are familiar with Sharia and the entire methodology of Islam. But they have a plan of their own, and it actually includes utilizing Islam for their own ends. Their belief is that once they have rid themselves and the Western World of what they consider a disease, Judeo-Christianity, then they will simply redefine Islam to match their secular-humanist and eco-friendly leftist progressive politics. They will supplant the Quran with the Democrat Party platform, or at least the one Bernie will be running on as well as many of their other Presidential hopefuls. This is the level of their contempt for even Islam that they believe they can simply alter the precepts of Islam replacing Quranic verses with leftist-progressive polity. This is how much they have disdain for Islam and are simply planning on using Islam and then discarding it once they have their desired death of Judeo-Christianity. There is only one small problem with their plans, Islam is not that easily overthrown. Once Islam reaches the point where they are ready to challenge everything the people thought was the basis for their society, there will be no alterations made to the Quran as the Islamic plan brings in Imams who will decide what Islam means and what good Muslims are called upon to perform. Just for your information, the top of the list is to perform Jihad followed by assisting those who are Jihadists and next are those who finance the Jihadists and on down the line to the lower ranks such as providing shelter for the Jihadists both before and after their attacks have been executed. There is no room in Islam for a competing set of principles and those attempting such an alteration to Islam would be accused of heresy and potentially be considered to be apostates, neither is a desirable end. But the West in now too comfortable in their belief of their superiority, especially the progressives as was proven by their continued disbelief that Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump. Imagine their absolute unraveling should President Trump be reelected beating, choose your favorite Democrat here. But not to fret, President Trump cannot remain in the White House beyond either two or six years depending on the 2020 elections. Eventually the leftist Progressive wing of the Democrat Party will win the White House and very possibly both houses of Congress along with it. Then the real leftist-progressive policies will get their chance to prove that the Democrats really are the people who know how to implement socialism and make it work. If they are able to do so, they will be the first and we do not hold out high hopes that they will succeed. Do not get us wrong, they will attempt to implement socialism and may even go the full route and decide that their superior knowledge and political beliefs are reason enough for them remaining in power until they get that socialist thing perfected. That is providing that Islam has not taken control of the United States, as they will also bring on a socialist form of governance. Their form of socialism is that the elite get everything and the rest get next to nothing, picture Gaza or Iran, Syria, Libya, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and all of the Islamic run nations which have little if any oil wealth. Under Islam it is difficult to tell if it is Islam or socialism which drives their levels of poverty and the great disparity in wealth between those connected to the power and everyone else. We can imagine a day when Americans remember fondly the days when President Trump sat in the White House, but this claim will raise the ire of most leftists who strayed in their journey and landed here. Perhaps this might serve as a warning for them, though we highly doubt such would be the case. But be warned, as forewarned is forearmed.

Europe Has a Big Silent Secret

 

Europe still keeps statistics on crime, even violent crimes, and they show that violent crimes are continuing to trend downwards. Murders are decreasing. Robberies are decreasing. Sexual assaults are decreasing. Well, that is amongst the normative communities. Many European police departments have started keeping two sets of books. One set of books is about normative crime committed by normal, multigenerational Europeans. That book is the one that is reported to the people in Europe and is being used as a tranquilizing agent. The statistics generated by this set of books a calming, soothing and oh so very optimistic. These statistics and crime reports are for those who desire to continue on believing that Europe is on the verge of a wonderful and bright future. These optimists are dependent upon good news reports on statistical improvement of Europe and the advancement of European society and governance and all that goes with this. These are the people who read all the right papers which only cover the flowers and smiles unless something so overwhelmingly evil and immense, such that it becomes impossible to ignore, then it is reported and sterilized as much as possible with any hint that it might be part of a greater area of criminal acts and violence ongoing yet uncovered.

 

This is where the other set of books come in play. These are the books which report about the unspoken crimes which are taking place. These are the hidden-crime books which do not even begin to cover the full extent of these crimes and they only really matter if they manage to also get into the other set of books that they really matter. There are crimes which go completely unreported in either book as the police can only report those crimes of which they are aware. If there are communities where the police treat as no-go zones, then crimes within that community do not exist officially. What if a crime is committed, never reported to the authorities presumably responsible for where it occurred, instead handled by the neighborhood in which it occurred, if and only if they consider it a crime and not if they do not believe it is a crime even if there are laws against the act in the outside world, and no state official at any level is ever involved or even knowledgeable about said crime. Is that really a crime or is it an uncrime? This crime is not in the official general crimes kept book and not in the unofficial other than general crimes book. It may have been brought to the attention of the local unofficial authority within this community or to the head of the family and never goes any further. The community authority, family head or some level of authority decides that this is not to go further, they decide guilt, innocence or if anything wrong even occurred. This becomes an uncrime. But there is a greater form of what is best described as other-crime. Other-crime is what the other set of books report and they are the crimes which the police find out about or have reported from the immigrant controlled areas where the police rarely tread except on necessity and then only in force. Some of these crimes become known to the police and authorities when they are called upon to escort an ambulance into these closed communities. These books also cover another kind of crime which would be best called by the name of quieted-crime. Quieted-crime are those crimes where immigrant community members interact with the other Europeans and the police are able to prevent any repercussions outside of the police who took the report and the European is convinced to remain quiet and not make any big deal and to simply accept that the police will do what they can but there really is not that much that can possibly be done. This includes numerous cases of sexual attacks and other similar criminal acts such as the events during New Year’s Eve in Germany reported by Sueddeutsche Zeitung. This is a small crack allowing a small view of the hidden-crime books which escaped and is going to be downplayed once again until this report is forgotten.

 

Europe by National Flag

 

The reality of crime diminishing must be preserved and the influx of immigrants has had no deleterious effects must be preserved at all costs. Political careers are completely dependent upon immigrations never becoming a contentious issue. Europe cannot continue to have unhindered immigration with completely open borders allowing as many “Asian” immigrants from the Middle East, North Africa and the Horn of Africa if the hidden-crime books were to become completely public. But that is the whole reason why there are two sets of books covering criminal actions. Do not for a minute think that the politicians are not aware of the existence of both books. They are completely aware of the facts and that they are risking the entirety of European society by their actions but they are trapped by their own past performance. Some of these politicians have been around for much of the influx of the immigrants and a few have even been around since the start of the breakdown of European society. European society has changed dramatically since World War II and as time passed since that war, the changes have gained speed and the consequences have snowballed. One of the results of the changes in Europe was a decreasing population rate. This has been the result of what is referred to as the “me generation” and their interest in chasing their own enjoyment and sacrificing having families, or at least children, as families and responsibility steal the freedom to have life as one continuous party. When you stop having children, this creates a problem for those who govern, namely how to have sufficient workers to provide for the aging populations. This drove the need for immigrants, bodies who could be put to work to provide the taxes to pay for the retirees which were soon to come as the post-war generation retired. The idea was to allow a free flow of immigrants to fill jobs in order to pay for government and the future. The economies did not produce sufficient jobs and the 2008 crash turned many immigrants into unemployed immigrants. When the immigrant society got a taste of the unemployed life and the social safety net of payments provided by European governments, they realized that they could live a relatively comfortable life well above what they had in their home nation by simply living in groups and collecting government handouts. This has led to the immigrants producing an even more serious financial problem as they began to collect more funds than they produced in taxes. That led many of the politicians doubling down on allowing immigrants in hoping to get ahead of the collapse. They are not going to be able to prevent the coming failure of Europe.

 

The crime remaining unreported is just half of the problem which is snowballing. The economic problems are now a runaway train with its throttle wide open and nobody at the controls. There will always be hopes that the immigrants will find that taking jobs provide a better life than government handouts or the governments will find that they are forced by financial troubles to end many of their handouts and this might force the immigrant communities to seek employment or return home. Then Europe will simply have to seek some way other than immigrants to solve their financial difficulties. But there may be something in the not too distant future which could turn everything around. There is always that old favorite of Europe when economies are stagnant, everything is looking like a really sorry future financially, there appears to be no easily enacted means of solving the problem, taxes have been exhausted and all else appears bleak, there is always a great war to reset the economic scales and starting over from scratch with a society to rebuild offering jobs for all. What solution from Europe’s past, when facing economic difficulties, is it to which we are referring? It is everyone declaring war on one another and fighting until all resources are exhausted. One would hope that the Europeans might have progressed beyond that solution. But then again, there is nothing like tried and true methods perfected by thousands of years of history. Perhaps it is the perfecting of warfare which would make such a solution being unimaginable, but that solution should not be completely ruled out.

 

Fortunately, there is another solution on the horizon and we can only hope it does not come too late to save Europe. That solution is the end of economies, as we have always known them. Social economics have always been predicated on workers and spending to provide the employment for the workers. But what if workers did not require being paid and designing products also did not require paychecks, and the entire workforce was automated and people only had jobs if they desired to have them. People who worked would receive additional buying power allowing them to have a more extravagant lifestyle. They would have access to nicer pad, nicer digs, sweeter ride (which would be actually having a ride) and better seats at the restaurant, opera (performed by robotic Artificial Intelligence (AI) actors) and generally more variety in entertainment. Still, with all production and design generally provided by robotic entities as well as AIs and government has found a means of providing buying power without actually using money. The government should be capable of allowing certain levels of purchasing, government provided housing, and everything desired by the people freely as long as the production and other desired needs are provided by AI and robotics with a small workforce who receives compensation advantages in purchasing as purchasing is money free. Purchasing will be provided through personal card, kind of a credit card with the credit set by the government. This also would allow providing people who work a larger spending capability. All Europe need do is make it to the point where the AIs and robots are running our societies. Once the developed world is run by AIs and robots, they will have reached a point where the main drive from their world should, if they really hope to live in peace, spreading their economic abilities and life of ease to the remainder of the world. Then the sole item which would need to be guarded against would be any violent actions from any of the nations which are being transformed for inclusion in the advanced societal structure developed. The one item which might be required for the developed world to provide safety would be automated AI law enforcement which would prevent warfare from any point on the planet. This would also require the most difficult of all things, allowing the AIs to also become the government. How can we get politicians to surrender their fat cat easy lives of excess through insider trading to allow themselves to be replaced by a supercomputer? Perhaps by doing away with the stocks which provide them the trade advantage. The real challenge for the world is to get to that future before we annihilate ourselves in one huge exchange of nuclear weapons enveloping the entirety of the globe such that even Antarctica melts in the exchange. Anyone care to take bets on this?

Sanders Foreign Policies Even Worse than Obama

 

Democrat candidate for President attempting to catch and pass Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, has less foreign policy knowledge and absolutely no grasp of the Arab Israeli conflict beyond that of President Obama and Possibly even former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. His knowledge on these issues and others were illuminated by the Washington Post using an interview from the transcript from the New York Daily News interview by their editorial board. We took both and other commentaries and attempted to choose those items which we found the most revealing concerning those items we here hold in value. We will attempt to use his own words wherever convenient and not overly challenging.

 

One somewhat rare plus was Senator Sanders answer to the question of whether Israel should be left as a Jewish State to which he replied “Of course (pauses) that’s the status quo.” From here things get murky at best and otherwise troubling. After some urging Senator Sanders finally fleshed out some visions he holds including this quote, “Here’s the main point that I want to make. I lived in Israel. I have family in Israel. I believe 100% not only in Israel’s right to exist, a right to exist in peace and security without having to face terrorist attacks. But from the United States’ point of view, I think, long-term, we cannot ignore the reality that you have large numbers of Palestinians who are suffering now, poverty rate off the charts, unemployment off the charts, Gaza remaining a destroyed area. And I think that for long-term peace in that region, and God knows nobody has been successful in that for 60 years, but there are good people on both sides, and Israel is not, cannot, just simply expand when it wants to expand with new settlements. So I think the United States has got to help work with the Palestinian people as well. I think that is the path toward peace.”

 

Uncle Bernie Wants You

 

Well, that does leave some wiggle room for policies that range from full support for Israel to Israel needs to save the Arab Palestinians from their own leadership. Israel must make sure that the Arab Palestinians have sufficient employment, reasonably priced homes and apartments, sufficient resources and plenty of opportunities and fiscal success. That would be the same as demanding that the British assure the economies, health, and general prosperity of the Australians, Indians, Pakistani, Americans, Israelis, Jordanians and all their other colonies succeeded when they were granted freedom and self-government and France do the same for her colonies and the Spanish and Portuguese all supported and maintained a functioning economy and government and the people had health care and everything at a similar level as is available in the colonizing nation. This expectation is ridiculous beyond measure as Israel was herself a colony which suffered an assault intent on genocide immediately starting on the morning of Israeli independence where Israel lost the areas which would come to be known as the Gaza Strip and West Bank. This thinking falls into the trap that the Jews of Israel having worked and established successful businesses and making revolutionary discoveries, new software and hardware, innovative medical procedures, and developed a system which provides opportunity to develop intuitive new concepts allowing for intellectual freedoms leading to successful ventures but the world, including Bernie Sanders, see Israeli success as stealing opportunity from their Arab neighbors who are impoverished because if Israeli success. Such reasoning is insane as well as faulty.

 

When Bernie Sanders was challenged on the 2014 Gaza War he danced with great skill around committing to supporting one side or the other. Eventually a longer answer which had some red meat to it was presented. When asked pointedly, “And I’m going to look at 2014, which was the latest conflict. What should Israel have done instead?” where Bernie struck forth replying that, “You’re asking me now to make not only decisions for the Israeli government but for the Israeli military, and I don’t quite think I’m qualified to make decisions. But I think it is fair to say that the level of attacks against civilian areas…and I do know that the Palestinians, some of them, were using civilian areas to launch missiles. Makes it very difficult. But I think most international observers would say that the attacks against Gaza were indiscriminate and that a lot of innocent people were killed who should not have been killed. Look, we are living, for better or worse, in a world of high technology, whether it’s drones out there that could, you know, take your nose off, and Israel has that technology. And I think there is a general belief that, with that technology, they could have been more discriminate in terms of taking out weapons that were threatening them.” And when the New York Daily News pressed further on the Gaza conflict of 2014 and the Arab Palestinian casualties Bernie provided a slightly deeper view stating, “I don’t have it in my number…but I think it’s over 10,000. My understanding is that a whole lot of apartment houses were leveled. Hospitals, I think, were bombed. So yeah, I do believe and I don’t think I’m alone in believing that Israel’s force was more indiscriminate than it should have been.”

 

Bernie Sanders Says, “Shhh, Quiet it’s a Secret”

 

These are the most egregious quotes from the transcript that we found with simply a cursory review doing a few simple searches for keywords such as Gaza, Israel, Human Rights and Crimes. The real root problem of Senator Sanders making such statements derives not from any validity that they might have, nor from the fact that these claims are coming from a candidate for President of the United States as they have because they come from the Jewish candidate for President of the United States. That fact makes these statements all the more credible and gives them the veneer of truth and places their validity beyond repute making them valid and truthful accusations because of their source more than anything else. When Bernie Sanders uses such statements that place the number of civilians killed, and he may as well say murdered, by the IDF at 10,000; even though he qualified it with the fact that he did not have the exact number and was working from memory, it validates that number as a point any detractor of Israel can now use with impunity. Add the rest of the quote which reads, “My understanding is that a whole lot of apartment houses were leveled. Hospitals, I think, were bombed. So yeah, I do believe and I don’t think I’m alone in believing that Israel’s force was more indiscriminate than it should have been and now you have the makings of admitted war crimes by the IDF.” And add in the earlier quote where Senator Sanders stated, “You’re asking me now to make not only decisions for the Israeli government but for the Israeli military, and I don’t quite think I’m qualified to make decisions. But I think it is fair to say that the level of attacks against civilian areas…and I do know that the Palestinians, some of them, were using civilian areas to launch missiles. Makes it very difficult. But I think most international observers would say that the attacks against Gaza were indiscriminate and that a lot of innocent people were killed who should not have been killed,” and that simply adds more fuel to the fire. It will not matter that Senator Sanders is not an expert or that he is not an ardent supporter of Israel or that he has voted against Israel funding and defense packages as his desired use for such funding is in social spending and domestic spending and he would all but cancel all defense spending in favor of his pet social issues spending is all meaningless. The only thing which those who oppose Israel Defense Force actions and Israel generally will see is the Jewish candidate has made these accusations thus they will take on a life of their own and these quotes will be used everywhere as they can be quoted in context with no fear that Israel’s defenders can cut them down when they can be attributed to Senator Bernie Sanders.

 

This is part and parcel of the problem with much of what Senator Sanders says on the campaign trail where he plays fast and loose with facts and factoids which it often appears he just makes up figures and his own facts using anything which will sound right and further his campaign. Should these facts and figures result in throwing Israel under the bus, then it must really suck to be Israel as all is fair in the arena of the hunt for that November candidacy spot on the ballots. These quotes we found here all came from a transcript which has been published and is now a part of the public record and there is nothing that can be said which will erase or excuse the fact that they have been added to the arsenal of quotes which will now be used repeatedly with the full veneer of truth. There are those who claim rightfully that Israel does not spend sufficient time, money or effort to counter the many mistruths, half-truths and outright lies which are spread far and wide against the Jewish State. Where such is a valid point, statements such as these by the Jewish Presidential candidate and you have something which cuts much deeper, the seeming proof due to their source. Senator Sanders making such statements would grant such statements validity but Jewish Presidential candidate Bernie and these accusations take on a life of their own and can now be used with impunity claiming them to be the gospel truth. Where we would not think to demand that Senator and Presidential candidate Sanders state, though we wish we could invalidate some of his statements, full and uncompromised support for Israel, antagonism is not a supportive policy position. Even if we were to have the reach his statements have, we would not have the instant credibility he gives to them simply by his being Jewish. Such things and truths about facts are not fair but then that is life and life never was promised to be fair. When Senator Sanders talks, there are legions of Israel’s detractors who are documenting his every expressed factoid as the gospel truth as only a Jew could express them. It matters not if Bernie expresses truth or simply grabs numbers from the thin air, either way his statements will be quoted time and again and marked up as truth and no amount of proof will be capable of erasing their stains on the reputation of Israel or her soldiers. That is the crime here, and it is a crime, will be the irrefutable truth set in stone by the Sanders campaign and the listings of the presumed crimes committed by Israel, the IDF and in their name as attributed by the Sanders campaign. The entire election taken into consideration, there is but one currently viable candidate who fully supports Israel, and it just had to be Ted Cruz, didn’t it.
