Has the World Gone Crazy Again?

If aliens to the Earth have arrived in the last few years gathering intelligence to decide and judge whether the Earth is worth being approached or left to mature, they would likely have some serious questions. Actually, the longer they might have viewed the Earth, they would likely have realized that what is happening is simply an infection which has always led to disastrous results and is flaring once again. This viral infection first showed its ugly hate in Pharaoh’s Egypt, which was soon to have a change in the ruling class. There was the little matter during King David’s rule when the Philistines, when they sacked the sanctuary of Shiloh, captured the Ark of the Covenant. They initially celebrated this great victory only to start to suffer plagues in their capital city. They decided to send the Ark to another city and the ills went with the Ark from city to city until the Philistines returned the Ark to the Israelites along with the proscribed sacrifice for repentance. There was the Purim attempt to murder the Jews of Persia at the crucial point before the decline of Persia before the Greeks. When the Greeks took steps to attempt to destroy the Jewish faith, they were soon destroyed and conquered by the Romans. The Romans probably were the most beneficial in their treatment of the Jews though they did this as a punishment, the scattering of the Jews throughout their empire and even beyond sold as slaves. This was intended to destroy the Jews just as it had the Carthaginians and an unknown number of others who were destroyed and removed from history. But Rome too was doomed to fall just as all who had persecuted their Jews, but Rome’s destruction was slow and painful. More recently there were the two main persecutors, Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia, both presumably gone. The persecution of the Jews has spanned Europe, Africa, Middle East, the Americas, Oceania, and even parts of Asia. For a more accurate view, a survey was performed by the ADL in 2014 with access to a 2015 update showing world antisemitism by continent and links to individual nations (example map below).

Levels in Percentages of Anti-Semitism Worldwide by Regions

Levels in Percentages of Anti-Semitism Worldwide by Regions

Our aforementioned alien would be reporting that apparently the prevailing opinion appears to be that every problem can somehow be traced to Israel eventually. All the violence of the Middle East, Israel is to blame. Worldwide terrorism, Israel is to blame. Even further insanity prevails as anti-Semitism is Israel’s fault as well. Some of the tenuous and strained relationships are used to find some remote reason or historic allegation proves that Israel is at the root of whatever evils are found no matter where they may be in the world, there will be those who blame Israel or possibly just Jews generally. This special virus appears throughout history but there are periods where it starts to spread more deeply and widely throughout large areas of the world. The modern era is the first where this virus can now truly spread worldwide without any limitations, or are there. Were you to ask the average person on the street in any Western nation, they may rate their country as not being particularly anti-Semitic and would probably believe that the United States was amongst the lowest area for anti-Semitism, and that would be a good assessment as the United States had a lower than average at nine-percent, the same as Denmark. But there were others who performed better in the 2014 survey with United Kingdom rating at eight-percent, Vietnam at six-percent, Netherlands at five-percent, Sweden at four-percent, Philippines at three-percent and the lowest rating at next to none is Laos at a mere zero-point-two-percent. We must unfortunately state what many already know, many of these, especially the European nations, have increased drastically in recent years. The reality is that the levels of anti-Semitism worldwide is rising with some regions having unprecedented rise in such hatred since the end of World War II and other regions having lesser increases but still definitively higher levels of anti-Semitism are measured virtually universally. Historically, the rise in anti-Semitism virtually always arises when the world is soon to tip into calamity, violence and rising oppressions. We need to remember that what starts with the Jews, never ends with the Jews. It is as the infamous assessment made by Martin Niemöller, a prominent Lutheran pastor in Germany, who stated the following,

First, they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Despite this truism being well known and that the history of anti-Semitism being on the leading edge of some of the world’s worst periods, the world still has yet to find the means of preventing this malignancy from inflicting the world. Now we see it rearing its ugly head and spreading without much of a care by most of the world where simply ignoring the new version of anti-Semitism, anti-Israelism and anti-Zionism, from spreading throughout our societies.

The most obvious rise of anti-Semitism has been within the Middle East and Europe. There are those who have attempted to blame the influx of refugees from Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan and Afghanistan for this rise, but these refugees cannot be blamed for everything. The attempts by numerous nations to outlaw Shechita (Kosher slaughter) and circumcision was performed completely independent from any refugee input. These came strictly from the historic attempts by Christian rulers and governments to attempt to force the Jews residing within their region of control to convert or at least prevent the practice of Judaism. This form of anti-Semitism is so ancient that it can easily be traced to the Romans, ancient Greeks, Persian and Babylonians. There can be no means of describing the laws banning these Torah requirements which all Jews must obey as anything other than anti-Semitism, outright anti-Semitism. Sure, these European countries have modern sounding, politically correct reasons and explanations for these laws, but they are aimed to target the Jews making their lives more problematic or even forcing them to emigrate to a more accepting climate, though the spread of such laws is making less and less nations Jewish friendly.

The latest flurry of anti-Semitic acts and the ensuing refusal of any proper criticism or adverse reactions came from the United States House of Representatives. Ilhan Abdullahi Omar of Minnesota, a Somalian by birth and Rashida Harbi Tlaib of Michigan, of Palestinian descent have made a very big splash than the average freshman Congress-critters. Ms. Omar made the first splash when a history of anti-Semitic tropes of hers were discovered on Twitter and other social media. But her problems did not end there as she doubled down with similar style anti-Semitic comments upon her arrival in the Congress. Not to be outdone, Ms. Tlaib echoed such sentiments with condemnations of Israel as well as the Jewish People. But that is not the worst part of this story, the really pathetic reaction by the Democrat controlled House of Representatives is the story here. And as if that was not enough, there was the pronouncement by the Speaker of the House and leading Democrat, Nancy Pelosi claiming, “I don’t think the congresswoman is anti-Semitic. I wouldn’t even put those in the same category.” And Ms. Pelosi did not leave it there rejecting any allegations of anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party adding when queried, “We have no taint of that.” These worries of signs that anti-Semitism was being normalized began when the Democrats in the House of Representatives were unable to denounce obvious and blatant anti-Semitic comments, statements and positions taken by their two now infamous members who along with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who supports her two fellow freshmen Representatives, have taken the spotlight and appear to be the new face and the future for the Democrat Party. Of course, the Jewish Representatives are all apparently too focused on the evils machinations they portend they will soon unravel from the Trump campaign and the Russia connection which they are so desperate to produce. None of these other events have even made a blip on their radar, though they had to have noticed the debate over whether or not to denounce anti-Semitism, which they did placing anti-Semitism at the tailing end of their list of other forms of hatred including Islamophobia. The refusal to report, sanction or otherwise notice the new Judeophobia (anti-Semitism) within their party is frightening, but not the most frightening of items.

There is one last item concerning the spreading Judeophobia which is positively frightening, and that is the lack of concern amongst the Jews in the Democrat Party. If one were to poll Jewish Democrats as to the Judeophobia sprouting within their party and its turning against Israel making supporting Israel into a partisan political position, you would likely find well over ninety percent would feign or actually honestly claim that they do not know what it is you are referencing. They will claim that they will continue to support the Democrat Party, continue to vote for Democrat candidates, continue to donate to Democrat political candidates and donate to the general Democrat funding. For them, they can see no wrong, hear no wrong and will speak no wrong about their precious Democrat Party. Their defense if one proves that there is a Judeophobic stripe running through their beloved Democrat Party, they will point out that it is not coming from their Representative. Then you also point out that their oh-so-wonderful Representative also made little or no effort to push for a letter actually condemning those who were practicing Judeophobia and instead simply caved to a general statement against hatred. Well, who actually is not against hatred other than those who actually hate, and even these often are unaware that what they repeat is hate or simply stating facts. This is most often the defense the Judeophobe will employ, that they are simply stating well understood facts which they have been told about all their lives. This was definitively the weak apology from Ms. Omar and Tlaib.

The rising levels of Judeophobia have reached epidemic proportions in the Middle East and Northern Africa and threatens to do similarly in many regions within Europe and throughout the Western World. As this pandemic Judeophobia continues unabated, it may have the unintended effect of doubling the Jewish population of Israel as Jews flee the coming persecution. Unfortunately, the most likely result will be about twenty-percent of Jews in afflicted regions making Aliyah or leaving to friendlier climes, which eventually will be Israel as there will be no other friendlier region left, and the remainder wondering what is happening when the Judeophobia reaches its ultimate form. The one positive in this situation is that there is someplace where every Jew will be accepted providing them with a place of last refuge. This is the reason and hope which Israel provides the Jewish People, a safe harbor in a far less than friendly world. We can only pray that all the Jews will find their desire for such refuge long before they have no other choice as it will make their transition more tranquil than coming with thousands of other Jewish refugees who have been stripped of all wealth and left for Israel to come and retrieve them before something unthinkable should be enacted. Israel absorbed closing in on eight-hundred-fifty-thousand Arab Jews evicted from their homes, many of which were hundreds if not thousands of years of their family residing in these lands, across the Arab and Muslim worlds. Israel went and brought the Ethiopian Jews and is in the process of approving more to be brought to Israel and also brought many sects of Jews from India and every corner of the globe. Israel stands ready to accept and provide a home for any Jew in need of rescue. We pray that no Jews are held hostage for ransom, as such would be tragic and set a horrific precedence. Judeophobia is a viral disease which becomes a world plague periodically and almost always is the precedence for some horrible upheavals of human history. Judeophobia is a warning signal that the train is about to leave the tracks if remedial actions are not taken to address the onset of this affliction before it becomes irreversible. The initial signs are that this will be yet another time the warning signs are to be ignored and the world turns itself inside-out all because when they came for the Jews, nobody cared as the Jews are an insignificant group of no concern to those who are not Jewish. History had proven this to be one of the worst positions taken repeatedly and apparently, we have not learned from our past. That brings us to a closing quote from George Santayana, “Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

Democrats Following Ilhan Omar Slamming Israel First

Senator Elizabeth Warren continued on her assumed guaranteed path to the Presidency following the lead of Representative Ilhan Omar choosing to denounce Israel above, beyond and before any other nation in her claim to the higher ground. Also, Senator Amy Klobuchar slammed Israel as she too seeks to lead the Democrats in their bid to regain the White House. Ms. Klobuchar took the lesser of the roads to perdition by simply slamming Israel for the deal between the Jewish Home and Otzma Yehudit referring to it merely as extremist and racist. Ms. Warren went a bit further stating, “First embracing right-wing extremism. Now manipulating a free press, accepting bribes, and trading government favors.” She then charged, accusing Netanyahu of delivering a “cut to the heart of a functioning democracy.” What is it with these Democrats and their campaigns for the Presidency, is Israel the sole country which has possible problems which in this case could be politically driven as the investigations have dragged on for over four years and suddenly, right after elections were called, then came charges timed to do the most damage to the ruling Likud Party and to Netanyahu himself. But, apparently, Israel with a sufficiently free press, despite claims to the contrary, came out and brought these charges into the open thanks to the “compromised” free press, as Ms. Warren claimed, and everything is being conducted in the open and will proceed through a presumption of innocence until proven guilty, except in the media and the campaigns apparently in both Israel and the United States. We find it fascinating that the first nation to be taken to task for its corrupted media and presumed compromised leader was Israel. Even before attacks on President Donald Trump, both Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar, not to bother mentioning Bernie Sanders who is always ready with an attack on Israel, and numerous others in the Democrat Party, would put Israel at the head of their campaigns as the nation the United States needs to hold to a strict standard and may desire to distance themselves from due to its weak respect for freedom of the press, racist politics, and compromised leadership whose moral compass may be skewed.

Let us consider what other nations might have made the list for such problems ahead of Israel which these Democrats might have chosen for their example. First coming to mind would be the obvious choice of North Korea, a nation where the leader and those he favors live well and the common person all but starves; a nation with no regard for human life and absolutely no media outside of what the government prints and no elections not to mention that anyone daring to charge their “Dear Leader” with crimes would be executed the next day at sunrise. Then there is Venezuela which pretty much mirrors North Korea but the problem with both of these is it would place them in a position allied with President Trump. They could easily have chosen Russia and President Putin which would have had the added bonus of allowing them to bring up the Mueller investigation and the Russian collusion charges, but they went with Israel. They might have gone slightly northeast of Israel and gone with Bashir al-Assad who is gassing and bombing his own country and its people back to the Stone Age just so he can remain ruling whatever remains in the end, but they chose Israel to condemn. Then they could have accused Saudi Arabia who is suspected of having murdered and then dismembered a person who had made accusations of the Royal Family after luring him to their embassy in Turkey, but they claim that Israel suppresses opposition. We could continue adding Iraq, Iran, China or any of the other one-hundred-forty six nations out of one-hundred and eighty ranked which were determined to be more corrupt than is Israel, but Israel lead their list and we are willing to bet that Trump’s America would not be far behind on their lists. Perhaps next they would like to complain that there are Israelis who are less than overwhelmingly happy as Israel ranks merely as the eleventh happiest nations, but then they would have to accept that the United States came in at number eighteen, a full seven slots behind Israel. We could continue and point out that Israel ranks at the top for political rights, individual rights, freedom of the press and well in virtually every category in the freedom ratings. The main complaint, just in case the Democrats running for the White House would like a pointer as to what might be a valid claim, Israelis are required to carry identification and to show their identification before boarding trains or entering many buildings including retail malls. Well, we wonder why this might be, could it be to reduce the chance of terrorists gaining access to places where they could inflict the worst carnage as was the case when terrorists attacked trains near Madrid in 2004 resulting in almost two-hundred deaths and over two-thousand injured.

As far as life in Israel is concerned, we have elections which suffer from the fact that we have a parliamentary system even more convoluted than others, we have more parties than flavors of ice cream (an exaggeration), we have to watch what we say about our little isolated place like heaven as people will believe any accusation or shortcoming, the media is just as strange as in the United States but there are some very decent smaller publications and even free newspapers, we are one of the few nations who has a major newspaper kept alive because of its foreign sales for the online version (Israel’s version of the NYT), freedom of speech, freedom to protest which is vigorously and enthusiastically used, equality of all varieties and about the only nation in the Middle East where gays are not persecuted and have full right of expressing their proclivities, complete religious freedom (the Baha’I have one of their two main centers in Israel with the other in India) and women are fully free and equal in every part of Israeli life. We have our problems like any other nation. We have checkpoints in order to protect the innocent from terrorism, a larger concern than in the United States but still manageable. There are beautiful beaches along the Mediterranean and skiing on Mount Hermon. Israel produces some of the world’s finest wines and has a broad selection of wines across a wide price range. Truth be told, until you have spent a couple of months, well, at least six weeks, in Israel, you really will not know Israel. Sure people come on a tour and see historic locations tailored to what the desired image the providers intend. That is one thing Israel is not short of, historic places, many of which date back more than three-thousand years. Just south of our location and visible from the train tracks or the main highway are the remains of a Roman aqueduct which probably does not make any tour guides itinerary. They just sit there looking, well, very Roman.

Those who wish to show the mistreatment of Palestinians, there are four or five Potemkin villages set up for display in the West Bank, but they will avoid Nablus or any of the main cities as people driving Mercedes and Audis is bad for the poor and beaten down image they wish to sell. That is also the problem with trying to judge Israel from news reports; you will simply get the view intended and nothing even close to the reality. Even favorable coverage does not do Israel justice. We have everything from small mom and pop stores to department stores as well as what we call shuks and Americans would call farmer’s markets. Jerusalem has areas which probably have not changed since before Alexander the Great came rolling through here on his way to conquer Egypt, for him Israel wasn’t so much conquered as ignored but still subjugated and far more trouble than it was worth except as needed to reach Egypt, the real prize in those days. Then Jerusalem has malls just every major city in the Western World, a modern light rail system and an electric train which will eventually make the trip from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem with a stop at Ben Gurion International Airport in well under an hour. Healthcare in Israel is a comfortable balance between government guaranteed coverage and available options at relatively modest prices as there is competition between the different providers. We also have some of the finest hospitals in the world. When you get treated in Israel, you are not guaranteed Jewish doctors as we have a fair percentage of the physicians that are Arab Israelis as well as other places of origin or ethnic background. For fun, the pictures below are of Gaza, Nablus and Tel Aviv, two of each, so before looking at the caption, that would be cheating, try and decide which ones are which.

Now that we have completed pointing out that Israel, while not perfect, is not exactly the nation one should start with when complaining about crooked politics, corruption, a compromised and slanted media or any other attacks one would wish to level outside of we have a very high percentage of Jews compared to other nations, which may be part of the reason we are placed so high on so many politicians’ target lists, shall we get back to the latest fascination of the Democrat Party, using Israel as their punching bag. There have been the accusations that Israel has been shooting innocent and peaceful Gazan protesters completely ignoring the obvious terrorism launched by these protesters which have included shooting at IDF positions, launching incendiary kites and balloons setting numerous serious fires, launching colorful balloons with cute toys attached loaded with explosive and set to detonate when squeezed or picked up, attempts to breach the border fence and an ecological attack caused by the burning of tens of thousands of tires to produce a smokescreen from which to hide their attacks. Then there are the accusations that Israel has not permitted the Palestinian Arabs to vote in elections. This is a trick question as the implication is that Israel does not permit them to vote in Israeli elections while the truth is that they have not been permitted elections by their own leadership. Hamas appoints who leads in Gaza as it is a terrorist dictatorship and Mahmoud Abbas continues to cancel elections within the Palestinian Authority as he knows he would lose his comfortable position. As far as their not being permitted to vote in Israeli elections, they are not Israeli citizens, they have their own governing bodies and territories which are independent of Israel. Gaza is completely independent of Israel and has been since September of 2005 after Israel pulled all her citizens and IDF forces from Gaza in the George W. Bush idea for showing how the Arab Palestinians could have a normal society given the chance so Israel gave them the opportunity with the Gaza Disengagement. The Palestinian Authority has had semiautonomous rule in northern Samaria in Area A and Area B while Israel retained complete rule in Area C as per the Oslo Accords of 1993. The reality is that Israel has not had direct rule over the Arab Palestinians since September of 1993 and Israel completely surrendered the Gaza Strip in September of 2005 with Hamas taking over in a coup in 2007 resulting in the blockade of Gaza after the Hamas takeover. Truth is the Gaza blockade was not put in place when the Arabs took control of Gaza but only after Hamas took control. Hamas is a terrorist organization which is sworn to destroy Israel and had, in their original charter, the Quranic verses calling for the killing of all Jews. The Gaza blockade also does not prevent aid from reaching Gaza; it only requires that Israel be permitted to check aid to make sure it does not contain weaponry or military grade equipment. Israel provides the aid through the Kerem Crossing with often caravans of semis going in to Gaza where the trailers are turned over to Hamas. Hamas has left aid undistributed preventing it from reaching their people so as to sell it on the black market or simply allow it to be wasted so as to continue the poverty amongst their people for use by media reporters who they provide minders to showcase what they wish the world to know. Below we included a comparison of the two Gazas, the one where the Hamas leaders and their benefactors and the other those who Hamas cares little for one way or the other.

The Two Gazas with One Pristine and the Other Ravaged

The Two Gazas with One Pristine and the Other Ravaged

These are facts that Ms. Warren and Ms. Klobuchar along with the rest of the Democrats catering to the far left of the party will never admit exist. To them Israel is to be cast as pure evil and the worst humanity has to offer. They are targeting the anti-Semitic wing of their party and those who have drank the BDS propaganda, and also those who work to produce the BDS styled propaganda. The Democrat Party is not the same party which existed thirty years ago and that is likely only going to become more evident as time passes. But, you say, are not most Jews Democrat voters? Yes, but you are making an oft made error by equating Jews with Israel. There has been a drift away from Israel amongst Jews as they also have drifted away from traditional Judaism, stopped going to daily services with many not going to services with possible exception of the High Holidays, if then. The Reform Jews, those whose parents were Reform Jews, have intermarried at an alarming rate of over fifty percent and all but completely left the religion and have virtually no compassion one way or the other, or are as rabidly anti-Israel as the Democrat candidates are proving to be, when it comes to Israel. You are likely to find numerous Jews who because they wish to be included in the leftist protest movement will join the BDS or simply reject supporting Israel as due to intersectionality, supporters of Israel are banned from joining in most progressive protests and are excluded from all women’s march and affiliated events. This is part of the reason why we will see ever more left wing politicians and organization turning against Israel. This is a well orchestrated and financed, as explained in the above link, operation which targets only Israel while turning group after group against Israel by threatening to marginalize their cause and prevent people from supporting their protests. Either you can support Israel or you can pass the intersectionality test, but you cannot do both. There was a turning point in the Civil Rights movement after Martin Luther King was assassinated where the Jews went from being strong supporters of the movement, most still support equal rights completely, to the Black Lives Matter turn against Israel and their joining with such as the Occupy Movement and the BDS movement in targeting Israel and the Jews. Anti-Semitism is growing on campuses across America and many professors now teach in their humanities classes that Israel is evil and some go as far to state that Israel is evil because Jews are evil. With such in the society and growing, it will become natural for political candidates to cater to the anti-Israel position, especially as it will not necessarily hurt them with the Jewish vote. Additionally, the Jews are a small percentage and Arab oil monies are being funneled into leftist campaigns replacing the one influence which had been considered the Jewish weapon. Additionally, the majority of pro-Israel Jews are living in Israel and even should they use their citizenship and absentee ballots, they came from such left wing bastions that their vote is irrelevant. Just as Jeremy Corbin has become the leader of British Labor and anti-Semitism will soon be rife in that party, the Democrat party is less than a decade behind them. Pro-Israeli positions are becoming a right wing and nationalist position and are being shunned if not abhorred by the leftist, internationalist agenda. Eventually, the internationalists will take control of the left wing political parties as they continue to drift leftward and the concurrent anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism and anti-Israelism will take the fore as these parties take over in Europe and possibly in the United States and Canada. Once this has taken hold, Israel will become the isolated nation the world will love to hate and even the Security Council will pass condemnations of Israel and may even once again declare Zionism equal to racism and eject Israel from the world body, which may be the nicest thing they could ever do. When the world turns to destroy Israel it will be a sad day and signal the death of Western culture as one cannot turn against those who laid the basis for the Judeo-Christian ethic and remain the beacon of the free world and even if you do not recognize it, lose it and you will no longer be free.

Israeli Electioneering Missing One Large Mark

Israeli electioneering is, well, what you would think, all about Israel. They speak of reaching peace with the Arab Palestinians, ending terrorism, growing the economy, assuring that nobody is ignored, feeding the poorest amongst us and the myriad of other claims and promises which are all almost worth the paper on which the speeches are written. The promises in Israel are slightly more accurate than are the promises in American elections or any other nation where there are basically two parties who vie for ruling. In Israel, as we are currently situated, one party is going to rule the roost as it has been for quite some time and the rest are competing in order to have sufficient value that they are included in the coalition and thus will either receive the money they crave or the powerful Ministerships which cover those things which matter most to their base. There are some of the parties who speak about reaching out and being attractive to the Jews in America and even Europe. This is often a play for the Anglo-sphere’s votes. What they are probably not aware of is that most of the Jews who make Aliyah did so in order to get away from many of the American Jews. Our Synagogue had fairly equal numbers of people who congratulated us when they learned of our plans to move to Israel while the other main group questioned our sanity and wanted to know why we were leaving what to them was the promised land to go to some terror filled third world backwater of a nation which had hopelessly disastrous political system with such a tyrannical wrong-headed Prime Minister gathering around him those settler supporters and other less desirable influences. It was the second group which made us glad to be leaving, and here in Israel we found people we considered to be relatively more sane. There was a third group which was too eclectic to describe easily but some of its parts included those who were simply curious, others who asked what is Israel like after we visited for a couple of weeks on our pilot trip, some who simply turned up their noses and ignored us (probably better that way), others who simply had no clue what to say and then our favorite group consisting of those who admired our decision and supported our conservative views but requested anonymity so they would not be closed out of the various Temple activities, clubs and numerous boards. Even in Oklahoma the Jews were definitively leftist liberals favoring the LBGQT rights, anti-Israel beyond the Green Line (settlers), anti-Netanyahu as they wanted Labor or Meretz making the coalition and some could not understand why they were not given the opportunity (probably a strong correlation with those who believe the Russians got Trump elected), save the whales, dolphins, tuna, polar bears, penguins and everything that is conceived except people, they favored abortion on demand, though, to their credit, not all of them as there were some liberals who were also pro-life plus all of the other pageant of intersectionality causes with one glaring exception, BDS. We have to give them credit for at least realizing the European driven Palestinian Liberation Organization, Arab League sponsored boycotting, divesting and sanctioning of Israel was purely anti-Semitic and had nothing to do with right or wrong but to do with the destruction of Israel and the end of the Jewish State. At least in Oklahoma they realized that once the world would be able to drive Israel into the ground that the next step would be to drive the Jews worldwide into the ground and then proudly claim they had performed a glorious and meritorious service to the world.

But, what, pray-tell, is this subject that the Israeli political class is ignoring? The answer is, Anti-Semitism. It is not just anti-Semitism, but where it will lead and the resultant demands which this will place upon Israel and the shock to every system and sector of Israeli governance and society. Across Europe, there are a great number of Jews considering leaving their home nation to seek safer and less hateful lands. Over half, somewhere around sixty-five percent, say they plan on moving to Israel with the rest split between the United States and Canada with the former receiving the lion’s share. In Britain, the Jews are particularly nervous and should Jeremy Corbin be elected as Prime Minister there will be a sort of exodus of Jews fleeing the British Isles. The Netherlands, Sweden and France are amongst the leading nations across Europe where Jews are frightened to wear anything identifying their religion. No necklaces with a Star of David pendent, same for lapel brooch, no kipot or anything else which would denote Judaism. Giulio Meotti regularly writes about the sad state of affairs for the Jews of Europe often specifically about Italy, his homelands, and secondarily about France, Britain, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. He has also often echoed some of our themes about the promises made to the Zionists specifically and Jews in general after World War I which the world has strongly attempted to sabotage, undermine and try to chip away taking Israel apart in pieces. He has not quite reached our conclusion that the powers that be in Europe wish to erase entirely the stain left by their moment of weakness in permitting the Jewish People to return home. We saw the real face of modern Europe as well as the United States State Department when the Kurds passed overwhelmingly a referendum and in near unanimity they roared that the Kurds must never seek independence ever as such is beyond acceptable belief. Israel was virtually alone in backing the Kurd’s dream for independence, something which was promised them after World War I but reneged in order for the British, read J Paul Getty, to get the Mosul oil fields. Israel even offered assistance to the Kurds should they have gone ahead and declared their independence. That dream has been viciously put down by Iraq with a great deal of assistance from Iran and the IRGC military units. We suspect that they would have also had some support, at a minimum logistical and supplies, from the United States despite the State Department’s protests. Israel is familiar with the State Department and its kowtowing to certain demands and almost always choosing the wrong side.

But in the lead of primaries for the parties which select their candidate lists democratically (most of the parties the leader or a small cabal choose the list of Ministers choosing their closest friends and major supporters for the top spots most likely to actually be seated in the Knesset after elections. Every party is required to provide a list before the elections so the people of Israel can know who the candidates are for each party and they can presumably choose the party whose list is most appealing. The first item which Israelis had best get their head around is that Israel is going to need all the land she can find. When the anti-Semitism boils over, the numbers of Jews who will be running scared to Israel will be in the thousands, then tens of thousands, and eventually they will be counted in the millions. It will be all but the most assimilated Jews initially but eventually the Jewish population, whether they see themselves as Jews or not, will be told that their presence is no longer welcome and they should go away. There are many amongst my Israeli born friends at my Synagogue who question all the building which is being performed where we live in Nahariya and I tell them that we will need every last one of these apartments and more and that we should be building at an even brisker pace putting up even more and taller buildings. The one thing in Israel is that if we plan on growing most of our own food, then we will have to either build upwards towards the clouds or downward or both. Currently they do a bit of both with many buildings meeting the demand that they provide at least one or two, depending on rules we have not bothered to check, parking spaces per apartment. They build the apartments going upward and the parking in the numerous basements amongst the other supporting machinery and structures required by their building. But from what we have seen, which is limited, the building is not at such a pace as to accommodate an influx which would increase the population by fifty percent, or three and a half million people. That is probably a fairly accurate appraisal as to the numbers of living quarters which will be required over the coming decade, and this is a conservative estimate, it could be even higher. The other item which need be remembered is that unlike the rest of the developed world, the population in Israel is increasing and doing so at a very respectable rate comfortably well above replacement rate. Another pleasing statistic is that while the reproductive rate amongst Israeli Arab women has been steadily decreasing, the reproductive rate of Israeli Jewish women has been greatly increasing and has surpassed the Arab rate. The ever-threatened demographic time-bomb is simply another deception used to bogusly argue against annexing eastern Jerusalem, which has already been done, annexing the Golan Heights, also completed, and definitely not any of Judea and Samaria, unavoidable and coming sooner or later one way or another. The retaking of almost every inch of land the Jews were promised by the Mandate System will be made an integral part of Israel with Gaza as the sole possible exception. The land will be necessary to hold the Israeli population by 2025, 2030 at the very latest. This is without addressing the possibility that there will be a large number of Jews coming to Israel out of the United States, an easily perceived necessity should things continue as they are already progressing.

Nobody with any sense would argue that anti-Semitism is rising and coming from the people on the far left and not from the right. Nationalists and even popularists are supportive of Israel and in the fight against anti-Semitism. This also includes many Evangelical Christians who are amongst the leading supporters of Israel outside of Jewish support. One problem is that many in the Jewish communities lead such insular lives that they are all but blind to the rising anti-Semitism around them. Many still believe that the only anti-Semitism comes from the right wing of the political spectrum, and that does still exist amongst what are often called paleo-conservatives, these are the likes of Pat Buchanan, the Nazis, White Supremacists and conservatives still stuck in what we like to call the way back when things were still orderly, they believe that orderly means they get to decide who sits at the table, and Jews are not amongst those permitted. Believe it or not, there are still a small number of country clubs with exclusionary rules which have never been challenged as nobody other than the crusty old paleo-conservatives and various other hate groups desire joining. Today’s anti-Semitism is coming from the left and the Muslims, the new Muslims more so than Muslims who have resided in the western world longer than fifteen or twenty years. The groups which have shown a proclivity for anti-Semitic views include the leadership of the Women’s March, BLM, CAIR and more as we discussed in greater depth in our articles “The Reality on the Universally Spreading of Anti-Semitism,” “Evident Worldwide Coordinated Anti-Semitism ,” “Methodology of Leftist NGO’s and Their Enablers” and to a lesser extent in “Jews Are no Different than We Have Ever Been” plus, a final pair, “Rebirth of an Ancient Hatred part 1 and Part 2.” The spread of anti-Semitism on the left is also taking its toll on the Democrat Party as a new breed of youth are entering the party with some previously alien ideas, one of which is the destruction of Israel or minimally the end to aid to Israel. These new younger group appear to generally have a proclivity for Louis Farrakhan and his Islamic Black separatist group Nation of Islam. The new left has molded their membership through a concept called “intersectionality,” which we also discussed in some of our articles above. Since they include a number of anti-Semitic groups such as Nation of Islam, CAIR, BLM, Muslim Students Association, Students for Justice in Palestine and numerous enough anti-Israel groups that no Jewish group is permitted into the leftist club of intersectionality unless they directly criticize Israel as being a Jewish colonial enterprise which conquered and stole the lands of the nation of Palestine either in 1948 or, if not then, definitely in 1967. As these children were not born yet, they have no context and are blithely unaware of the fact that in both of those wars, the Arabs had massed and attacked Israel with numerous Arab nations working together. The fact that Israel survived these two wars and the ensuing 1973 war and the terror wars Israel has been fighting continually since the Oslo Agreements has been a modern miracle. The little fact that there has never been any nation named Palestine and that Jerusalem has only been the capital city over Jewish or Israelite, another reference to modern Jews, is something they have never been taught in the ivory walls where the soft sciences are rather soft on facts when addressing the Middle East. The problem coming to take control of Nancy Pelosi’s and Chuck Schumer’s little group are young people with no sense of history and a slanted and definitively anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and often strongly anti-Semitic set of beliefs bringing forth that “The Democrat Party has a Religion.”

Burning Israel Star of David

All of these facts add up to a rush for safety for the Jews of the world once again. The Muslim world already held their version of what is coming to the developed world back in the late 1940’s and through the 1950’s when they dispossessed their Jews dispatching them with great grievousness with much of the world demanding that a relative sign agreements to support these Jews who were left with nothing beyond one suitcase each in many cases, if that, making them to be considered neer-do-well delinquents. This left around eight-hundred-thousand or more who came to Israel. Israel was an agrarian economy in these times and anything but ready to take in such numbers of desperate and penniless refugees. Israel, to her credit, silently set up temporary quarters and worked to acclimate these people to their new homes and in time they were all incorporated into the economy and as time went along, they became very productive members of our family. Israelis now do not make any distinction as to where one’s parents or grandparents were originally from or by which route did they arrive in Israel basically one suitcase in hand, if lucky, and the clothes on their backs. Today it is common to see a young couple with one having sandy hair and the other raven dark hair happily walking hand-in-hand. Israel has integrated the many disparate Jews who have returned home, which also includes Ethiopian and Indian Jews. Soon Israel will be receiving another present sent by much of the remainder of the world’s Jews as Europe decides that the Jews are no longer welcome. Europe will at some point need to choose between Muslims or Jews, and we bet the Muslims will win that discussion as they already vastly outnumber the Jews in Europe and have reached near parity with the actively Jewish population of the United States. When the time cones and the United States elects a President who, as it would say of Pharos in the Bible, who did not know Joseph, then it will not matter if you are a practicing Jew or even if you no longer identify as a Jew, if you had even one Jewish parent, and for this it need not have been your mother as Judaism requires, just father will suffice, and the Jews will not have a pleasant choice. They will either leave while the leaving is unhurried and they can take their wealth and belongings with them, though those items they will be forced to sell will not get full value as investors and others will know the Jews have to sell now, or they will leave when it starts to become unavoidable obvious, though even then there will be those Jews who will tell themselves, they do not mean me, they mean those Jews who dress weird, or they can leave and barely escape leaving without the time to sell anything and having to abandon homes, vehicles and other things which could not be arranged in time or they might sneak out and eventually make their way to Israel facing threats the entire route taking next to nothing with them. There are going to be a number of people who are going to claim that this part of the prediction about the United States can never happen. Allow us to inform you that there was quite a fair amount of anti-Semitism in the open as late as the 1950’s in the United States. Jews were called Christ killers and worse. That anti-Semitism will be as a picnic compared to what is coming with the likes of Tamika Mallory, Linda Sarsour, Carmen Perez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Keith Ellison. These are all under forty politicians who are either at the forefront of groups, party leaders on a state level or higher or elected officials. But with much of the youth against Israel to the point that some university campuses have reached the point where Jewish students, just like their Jewish counterparts in much of Europe, are afraid to wear anything which identifies them as being Jewish and refuse to identify openly as being Jews. The day is rapidly approaching in Europe and not all that far behind in the United States that we will see, as is pictured above, the Star of David burning in the streets as a common expression of hate towards anything as the burning Star of David will be a generally used sign of contempt even when it has absolutely nothing to do with Jews or Israel. All of these events will send numbers of Jews fearing for their lives and safety into Israel and nobody hear is talking about this eventuality. We fear Israel will not be prepared and once again will face a serious challenge. Maybe after the initial wave from Britain, France, Sweden the Netherlands or wherever it may originate, maybe that will be sufficient dose as a wake-up call and Israel will smell what is coming.
