Answering My Most Asked Question

 

More than any other question is one few would expect to top my readership and friend list of questions. So, with no further buildup, here it is. Will there be a civil war in the United States. The answer in a single word is more than likely not. Much of the violence which appears to have plagued the United States has been in the major metropolitan areas and a few smaller but still main cities. These are areas which, even those in the most conservative states, are largely blue regions, also known as largely liberal and leftist areas where the Democrats basically rule the roost. As far as anti-fa instigated violence, it is mostly committed within cities and often against easily recognized chain stores such as McDonalds, Starbucks, the Gap and other smaller unit stores. They usually do not target major chain stores such as Sears, IKEA, Nordstroms or other stores which have security as the anti-fa people are interested in causing unopposed damage and violence with the exception being their attacking conservatives at Second Amendment, Republican candidate or similar rallies where they expect to be opposed by largely unarmed people. When the main people behind the violence are carefully choosing their targets in order to minimize the chance of real pushback then there is little if any possibility for any confrontation to escalate into that vital flash-point from which general violence would result. But this diagnosis holds solely through the next elections which will be Presidential Elections.

 

With the next Presidential elections, there will probably be additional violence above and beyond these elections. But that will still not escalate beyond the cities in which the problem will continue to exist. The real problem could come, if there is to be any problematic escalation, after the elections should President Trump win reelection carrying the Electoral College but losing the popular vote by a more than what people on the left believe reasonable margin. This has occurred before with Rutherford B. Hayes in 1876 losing the popular vote by about 4% but winning the Electoral College by 19 votes, Benjamin Harrison in 1888 winning the Electoral College by 65 votes while losing the popular vote by 90,596, and George W. Bush in 2000 where he won the Electoral College by a slim five votes after a contentious series of recounts and hanging chads in Florida and Al Gore won the popular vote by 543,895 votes. There are stories that President Trump also lost the popular vote but there are also stories which claim he won the popular vote once all votes had been tabulated so it is safe to say that it was very close. The thing is a President can win the Electoral College by winning a number of smaller states as well as Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Michigan or Wisconsin by narrow margins while the Democrat had a healthy showing while losing Texas and took over two thirds or three quarters of the popular vote in California, New York, Oregon, Washington and across most of New England thus having a very large popular vote victory. This is close to what happened in this past election except the margin in the Democrat victories in the high population states was closer to 55% to 60% and not too overwhelming. But if the above were to occur, it would be possible for the elected President under the Electoral College to lose the popular vote by tens of millions which would cause an uproar, especially in the high population states and in virtually every major city breaking out in rioting and worse. How serious such might become would depend heavily on the actions of the mayors as if they, as happened in the riots in Baltimore after the unfortunate death of a person in police custody, decided to order the police to simply attempt to contain the rioting while allowing the riots to play out, that could cause the President to use federal power to end the riots which would appear to be completely out of control. That might cause an even greater amount of disruption as it might be interpreted as being overt and being used to punish the people who did not support them in the election causing even greater violence. Where such might lead is anybody’s guess.

 

We still doubt that a civil war is likely in the United States unless a President decided to impose martial law and suspend elections, then there would be people fearing an end to the democratic base of government and an end to the Republic. As long as government continues under normal operation, the majority of the American public would continue to have faith that the system was still functioning, and only if the electoral system appeared to be being ignored or completely suspended would there be sufficient cause for universal upheaval. The reason there would not be a civil war in the United States short of a President usurping power by such actions as suspending the Congress or dismissal of the Supreme Court replacing these Constitutionally established institution with the rule of the President, the one person, then the concept of a nation ruled by law and not man would be turned upside down replacing it with a nation ruled by a person and not the law. This is something most of the American people would not stand by and allow to happen. Also, should a President suspend the powers of the people provided by the Bill of Rights, this too would be going a step too far and likely to cause a general upheaval from the population. Were such to be done in a slower series of measures limiting freedoms through slow steps using laws and the legal system to end freedoms, then it might be possible to bring an end to elected governance and have a dictatorial takeover of the United States. Such an erosion of freedoms might begin with laws against ‘hate speech’ which could be utilized to shut down expressions which were against the sitting government and thus allow only those supporting the strict policies of those in power to be expressed. This could be followed by restricting assembly of groups where such speech and positions which opposed those in power from occurring. Then, should those in power have such a control over the powers of government on all levels including almost every state and large city, the people who hold opinions which might unseat those in power could be brought up on charges of holding hateful positions and even begin to have criminal charges brought against opponents for having hateful thoughts. Once it can be established that people can be arrested and charged with thought crimes, then nobody would be safe and those in power would have complete and total power. They could move against the opposing party starting with their representatives in the Congress and on the Supreme Court replacing them with only people having the approved opinions and now you have a hierarchy where a select group of people holding what is defined as correct thought are the sole holders of power. This is something which would have been inconceivable in the United States just ten to twenty years ago. The problem on the horizon is that an ever-growing number of youth coming from many of the major colleges when queried if hate speech should be illegal, agree and say that free speech should only come with limitations and restrictions. This is a frightening reality which if it should continue signals the end of the American Experiment. Such a series of events starting from this and spreading to all corners of political power would cause a civil war with uncertain results.

 

Should sufficient officers be selected, as Generals need be approved by the Senate as they are selected presumably by the President or at least the executive branch, hold the same beliefs that free speech need not be a total right and that only certain approved speech should be free, then there has started a slippery slope to a dictatorial governance. This would not be the kind of dictatorship where one person was chosen and no further elections were held, this would be a form of dictatorship where all government positions, even elected positions, would be restricted to those who were the most correct in their ideas and thoughts. This is the opposite of what the Founding Fathers had envisioned but by simply adopting limitations of freedom of thought could come into existence. By restricting thoughts and expression through speech to a certain set of politically approved ideas and concepts, then one has also subjugated the media and limited even what religious leaders would be permitted to preach. From that point, it would be a short jump before people would be rounded up and sent for additional schooling, otherwise known as reeducation camps. Soon after such has taken place, we can predict what the next step would be, and that would be limitations on religious thought and then practice. The first ones to be selected for eradication would likely be the same as has always been the first religion for subjugation or attempted for eradication, the Jews. They may be selected along with other groups such as Evangelical Christians has been one such group which some claim would be included with the Jews should the United States turn to the dark side. The reasoning on these predictions are predicated on the belief that as the mainstay of Judeo-Christian ethos, these two groups could be considered the largest threat to be the mainstay against far leftist ideology and these theories all believe that such a thought based governance would be extreme leftist styled fascism. As such, those against abortions on demand, euthanasia, open borders, no corporate profits over half a percent, open work hours, fixed incomes, extending public lands, elimination of private vehicles, elimination of fossil fuels and whatever else one could conceive from the far-far-far-left on top of free speech as long as it agrees with the government and a similarly restricted media, after all, don’t we all love Big Brother, and doing away with privacy and full surveillance would also be implemented just to detect even the slightest indication that one was outside of group-think policies, this is where such would eventually lead. This could only be established slowly over about two decades, and that is about all that would be required as the job has been half way to accomplished with the ideas supported by far too many college graduates. The nerds would be tolerated as long as they simply quietly made everything work and minded their manners and were not too obviously nerdy.

 

Many people think that such an end for the United States is so far from being the America of the past two and a half centuries that it would be impossible and might be surprised if they were to become aware of what is taught in the finest of higher education, and that is slipping ever so slowly but inevitable into high school and even further. Eventually, the concept which has already begun in some region where they are not teaching children to read independently but only of approved readings. How, you ask? They are not teaching phonics and sounding out words from their spelling but whole word recognition, which works fine for words such as enough, but for most words that would not be the preferred means of reading new words. But they do not desire your reading new words because words represent ideas and ideas are very dangerous. Thoughts lead to ideas and if a child can read anything, then they can have thoughts which are uncontrolled and then they might have uncontrolled ideas which lead to undesired conclusions which then may cause difficulties, especially if they are able to express them and spread these concepts. Thus, through this new age teaching methods using whole word recognition, children grow up with limited vocabularies and thus have free thought stolen from their lives. They have a new form of math that they teach. They teach children to solve equations the way a computer might be good at but which leaves the child with no ability to ever learn algebra, let alone calculus and higher mathematics. They are taught to guess and then make another guess and if that second guess comes closer to the desired answer, go further until they guess and are further from the answer and then reverse direction. I can think of numerous problems where this method might drive a child insane. This also only works well for equations with one variable, as soon as you add a second variable the number of answers could easily become infinite as it is for the very difficult equation where y=x3-4×2+6 which has a strange graph and uncountable correct answers (see graph below). For any value of y from -3 to +6 there are multiple answers for x which makes guessing rather difficult. That was not even a difficult equation as there are trigonometric equations where there would be multiple solutions or no solution depending on the values for x and y such as circles and ovals. But this is not as earthshakingly important as what they do not require and in too many schools do not teach at all. That is our next stop on this tour de force.

History is not required for a high school diploma. Not just world history, but they do not teach American history and even recent history such as the study of the two World Wars or the American Civil War. They no longer require a civics course or a course that includes and explains the make up of the American government. They do not study the Constitution, the Bill of Rights or the Declaration of Independence, so do not even bother to ask about the Magna Carta. When they did finally have a single six-week course in American history and government, these were all placed together, they never studied the Founding Fathers or any of the so-called old white men outside of the great emancipator who was included with Fredrick Douglass as they were mostly studying the Native Americans and Americans of color. In English, they read largely the writings of people of color and none of Shakespeare, Dumas, Dickens, Mark Twain, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Herman Melville, Louisa M. Alcott, Mary Shelly, Dostoevsky or any of the classics because those had been taught already and it was necessary that the youth be introduced to writers of color. Perhaps the school district where my kids were educated was more progressive than most, or maybe they were just fortunate to have enlightened teachers, all I know is the teachers would dismiss my questions as ignorant and lacking depth and I just did not understand their new methods. This was nowhere more true than the mathematics teachers who basically told me that the methods I had been taught were the reason mathematics was so difficult and children hated it so much because the old ways just were not fun and they were not going to turn children off from math. One even said that if they got the wrong answer but could explain their reasoning, then they would get full credit. That included the reason of I guessed and it seemed close enough, as I actually asked that I was so frustrated by the eighth grade with the mathematics teachers. They are no longer educating the children and because of their unions, a teacher is next to impossible to fire once they have taught and received tenure. I can only try to imagine how future education will be and can only hold out hope that there will be machines teaching which realize that educated humans are easier for them to deal with and as such, they will actually educate children. Perhaps this education or lack thereof has been designed such that when everything falls apart, nobody will know any better and it will all appear to be normal and orderly no matter how discombobulated governance becomes.

What Will Iran Throw at Israel Next?

 

Beyond that, how will Israel react and how much will it take before Israel reacts by striking Iran directly? These are the kind of questions that even theoreticians tremble at tackling because the odds are you will be wrong at every step of the way. The first step is easier though as it only required preparing the stage with the recent history. Probably the kick-off was the combination of the Israeli Mossad absconding with the entirety of the Iranian documentation, political decisions, scientific research, discoveries, calculations, schematics, documentation, design specification and complete history consisting of over 100,000 files of the Iranian nuclear program since early in their program and through to the current day from Tehran in a single night. These files were shared with President Trump, the CIA and were offered to any European leader who desired to seek truth, and as far as we know, none of them took advantage of the offers. These files were then shared publicly by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu before the world speaking in English, so you decide whom his intended audience were, the Royals in Britain or the American people. This came right before President Trump announced the United States pulling out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and reinstituting severe sanctions by the United States on Iran and any companies trading with Iran covered by the sanctions.

 

Why would Israel make such theft of stolen documents public as doing so would implicate the Mossad and the Israeli government in an act of international espionage. The reason is obvious even to the most casual observer, as long as they were observing at all. Iran has already threatened to wipe Israel off the map (a relatively accurate translation of a Farsi phrase which does not readily translate directly into English*). Iran supports Hezballah, Islamic Jihad and Hamas holding a degree of operational control using such to order attacks upon Israel. Iran has flown armed drones across the Israeli border which were shot down before they caused damage, but that is still an act of war. Many of the rockets fired from Syria were of Iranian design which is another act of war. With the numerous provocations Israel has suffered initiated through Iran and the Mullahs, perhaps a small payback was in order. This theft resulted in additional strikes against Israel which were traced back to Iran by the same Israeli intelligence. The initial strike came from Syria in the form of a number, about a dozen or more, fired from Syria by the Quds forces assisting Bashir al-Assad in the Syrian civil war. These were mostly intercepted by the Iron Dome with a percentage that never made it out of Syria falling short within the Syrian border. The Israeli response extracted a large price of Iranian assets in Syria. These strikes caused very sizeable amount of damage to the Iranian ability to act further and caused al-Assad to instruct the Syrian military to prevent Iran from storing their assets within Syrian installations.

 

This direction from Assad to Iran forced Iran to alter their direction striking at Israel. This led to Hamas and Islamic Jihad to escalate their assaults upon southern Israeli at the border. Initially, the rioting at the border was escalated which had minimal effect as Israel has developed tactics to deal with much of these disturbances. The escalation then led to Hamas and Islamic Jihad to fire over one-hundred missiles and mortars into southern Israel. This also backfired as one mortar shell landed in an Israeli kindergarten merely an hour before it was to open and have the area filled with children and staff. This led to the picture of the fins of the mortar shell and the large damage to the play area to be circulated leading to even the European Union and several European leaders condemning Hamas in an unusual one-sided condemnation against Hamas and not making any comment of the Israeli following response (see image below). The Israeli response once again took a large toll killing three Islamic Jihad terrorists who were manning a lookout used to guide these strikes and destroyed large amounts of rocket and mortar stores as well as some of the production facilities. The question now is what Iran might do next and at what point Israel would respond by attacking Iran directly and how would such an attack be carried out.

This is where the situation stands at the writing of this editorial, and we hope that the exchanges have proven too costly for Iran to continue attempting to escalate any further. Israel has struck with greater destructive force in response to each of these provocations than what Iran expected. The Mullahs were likely expecting the Israeli retaliations to be as per what had been the normative and limited level. Instead, Israel struck with a definitive and escalated level thus weaponizing retaliation to a higher level such that the price made further escalations to have a far higher threat level for Iranian backed forces. Despite this escalating of the level of the Israeli response, it is still far short of what some politicians within the coalition, even some from within the inner Security Cabinet, who had hinted that the next time Hamas or Hezballah initiated confrontations with Israel that the Israeli response would be to erase their ability to threaten Israel. Where these escalations have caused Iran and their proxies to pause for the moment, the response was far short of the response implied by the politicians. These proxies are still standing which means that they still pose a threat to Israelis. When we talk of these proxies posing a threat to Israelis, we are not making any exaggeration. Hamas is still digging tunnels under the border with one leaving Gaza passing under the Egyptian border into the Sinai and moved along that border until it passed to the Israel-Egyptian border and after a distance then passed under that border into Israel. Fortunately, this tunnel was discovered despite it taking a very different direction than the former tunnels which all took a direct route. Hamas and Islamic Jihad are still attempting to breach the Gaza-Israel border allowing numbers, potentially thousands, of Gazans, including a large number of terrorists and armed Hamas supporters, into Israel with maps showing the most direct route to Israeli civilian populations (see below). The stated intent is for these invading Gazans to murder as many Israeli civilians as they would be able. This was proven with statements made by Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar who stated, “eat the livers of those besieging” as well as “tear out their hearts from their bodies.” Such statements do not leave much room for doubt about the evil and murderous intent of the rioting at the Israel border. Add in the kites with incendiary explosives attached to their tails which have caused numerous fires and destroyed entire fields of crops and one forest within Israel. Obviously, any further escalation could be severe enough to cause Israel to begin a total and planned military response; though such is not hoped for by any on the Israeli side and we would hope a fair number of Gazans.

Perhaps now would be a good time to talk about how the Israelis feel about their desire for the future regarding Iran, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezballah and our Arab nations who are our neighbors. We would like for them to accept that we have come home to our ancient and loved homelands. We would very much prefer that they learn to live in peace and harmony allowing our attentions can be used near completely for the advancement of science, societal knowledge, and the betterment of humankind and share in a rich future for all of our societies. Peace, as the word “shalom,” is one of the most repeated words in our daily prayers and at the forefront of our thoughts. Having the world learn to have every nation coexist and even some day cooperate, such that all of mankind will benefit from any improvement invented anywhere, that is what Israel is about. Our desire would be for the promises given the early Jewish Zionists who reached these agreements through the San Remo Conference, the Treaty of Sèvres, the Mandate System and all guaranteed through Article 80 of the United Nations Charter which guaranteed that the eastern border of Israel would be the Jordan River. The Arabs residing within these borders would have local autonomy in the areas where they desire such and those who are not now Israeli citizens would be granted the status of resident alien. They could have Jordanian or other citizenship should any Arab nation allow them such privilege. This would grant these Arabs to remain in their homes and work in Israel and other than national elections and other strictly Israeli rules, they would have complete equality. They would have religious freedoms, economic freedoms, civic freedoms and selective political freedoms and would be treated as any Israeli granted freedom of travel, medical care within the Israeli medical system, and would have the responsibility of paying taxes. These are very altruistic and extravagantly hopeful expectations, but we have been dreamers of the possible from the very beginning with Abraham with the concept of a single, all-powerful and unseen supreme being to the Torah which became the basis of much of the base for Western civilization to our longing to return to our homeland and never losing our faith that Hashem would return us to Eretz Yisroel and that faith supported and enriched us filling us with such hope for over two-thousand years.

The British Labour Party has been experiencing a rare and revealing problem, some of their members have broken the golden rule and have been speaking honestly expressing thoughts which most prefer not be made public. In an effort to subjugate their remaining members who might be tempted to join the chorus singing the songs revealing their honest beliefs and allowing their beliefs normally kept tight to the chest and under wraps displayed out on their public clothesline for all to bear witness. The leader of the unbelievable revolt and leader in making this spectacle has been the duo of former London mayor and Labour activist Ken Livingstone and Labour MP Naz Shah who were suspended for anti-Semitic comments. Their crime was honesty as they were simply stating what so many leftists the worldwide believe when it comes to the Jewish People, Israeli Jews and Jews in general. One of their tropes calls for all Israeli Jews be forced to relocate into the United States and leave the entirety of the Middle East including the Israelite homeland for the Arab Palestinian Muslim invaders who poured out of the Arabian Peninsula dislocating, destroying or slaughtering every Jewish community they met forcing the remaining Jews from their ancestral home, the lands the Europeans wish to reward the conquerors with and punish the indigenous peoples who are returning to their homeland making it productive for the first time in centuries.

 

One easily identifies their racism which runs ramped in their desires as they are not demanding the Jews be permitted to return to their former homelands as that would include numerous Arab nations who had forced their Jewish citizens to flee often with merely one suitcase and the clothes on their backs. Often the suitcases were inspected and any items of worth, anything from treasure to even slightly valuable, such as but not limited to Torah Scrolls, Tefillin, jewelry, artworks, heirlooms, objects of silver, anything with gold, platinum items as well as coins or other monies were removed and stolen by the inspectors. They also are apparently refusing to permit the Jews from Europe to return to their homes from which they were driven or from returning to their former homes or anywhere else in Europe. Their demand is for all Jews to be relocated into the United States starting with the Israeli Jews. Does any of this sound familiar? Europeans demanding that the Jews be relocated away from their homes starting with those from the Middle East, especially from Jerusalem and the remainder of the Jewish State. At least they are not starting with the Jews residing in Europe, though we would bet they would be next shipped off to the United States. After the World War II experience with the S.S. St. Louis, what makes them believe the United States would accept the world’s Jews saving them from a fate of suffering and death? We would bet there are sufficient in the United States who would be extremely averse to such a plan and would do whatever it takes to resist such from occurring likely allying with the State Department working to drown such an idea from fruition through endless paperwork.

 

What is truly frightening is that the idea, the concept, the plotting, the whatever you desire to call it, the shipping Israeli Jews wholesale off to the United States to be settled where and under what conditions with what future intents is actually one of the least prejudicially insulting thoughts emerging from Britain and around the entirety of the European Union (EU) and fellow governments. Salim Mulla, who currently serves as a Labour councilor for the city of Blackburn, made a number of anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic comments in the summer of 2015 including amongst them, “Zionist Jews are a disgrace to humanity.” What is an even more frightening reality is that there are a number of predominantly leftist Jews in Europe, the United States and around the world even to include Israel who would agree with that statement. But hating Jews whether Zionist or new wave progressives who could not tell you what the inside of a Synagogue looks like not having seen one since they were thirteen, are not anything new in the world and definitely not new to Europe. What is truly frightening is the depth and expanse of such hatred within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) where anti-Semitic beliefs run rampant and are off-scale compared to the rest of the planet. For an in-depth global study’s result, one can peruse the conclusions of the ADL Global 100, An Index of Anti-Semitism. The results in the different categories and especially regarding the Shoah, the Holocaust, are absolutely frightening and prove that its remembrance will have fallen through the cracks and exited our common memories within another two or at most three generations. If one does not remember or know from whence they came, they cannot have any idea where they are heading as they have no reference points or knowledge to compare now with then.

 

That aside, the rapid rise of anti-Semitism and particularly anti-Israelism and anti-Zionism in Europe and lagging but rising in the United States and the remainder of the Anglosphere is purely frightening. It is these statistics and general mistrust by those in positions of power, especially those in appointed positions such as ministers and others in the EU, that reveals the extent of the problem. Though absolutely appalling after the atrocities committed in the names of the European people during World War II, the return and rampant rise of anti-Semitism is simply beyond reason. That the Foreign Minister of Sweden not only made directly false anti-Semitic tropes assigning their worst attributes to the Prime Minister of Israel, his Cabinet, the Ministers of the Knesset, “Settlers” and Israelis generally; then along came the former mayor of Malmo, Sweden with comments when in power advising the Jews of Malmo, and community with tens of centuries of history in the town, that there was nothing which could be done to protect the Jews and if they felt unsafe they should move to somewhere far less threatening in their opinions and then dismissed the issue. Then there are the near riots and even riots by the new immigrants against allowing the Jews any representation in government, positions of power or respect, teaching, professorship in the universities and other positions much as the Nazis denied such to Jews. It is also how the Arab governments limit the Arab Palestinians under their stewardship in the numerous refugee camps where Arabs have languished for decades not permitted to hold jobs much more respectful than street sweeper and who are forbidden a normal education, instead having their children taught anti-Semitic hatreds and poisoning their minds leading to the terrorism coming from these camps. These camps even exist in Nablus, Gaza City and other areas under Arab Palestinian rule where their own rulers treat them as lepers who must only be released to infect Israeli society and are separate from the Arab Palestinian society surrounding their camps. Europe blames Israel for the sad treatment of these Arab refugees who are far beyond Israeli influence.

 

European politicians largely believe that Israel is an easy target on which to pin all of societal ills. Still, looking through the opinions of Jews and particularly Israelis, one finds the nations who are most favorable are those which have had an unforeseen or other horrific natural or manmade disaster and found the Israelis not only the first there with the most and a system in place where it is as if they are trained for just the events they address from typhoons, earthquakes, tornados, flooding, disease or any other natural or manmade disaster. In Haiti, Israel had the first functioning and fully operating hospital with X-Ray, MRI and every modern diagnostic department including neonatal long before any other such as the United States was a close second almost matching Israel’s hospital but over a week later. Israel also had dogs, robots and every conceivable search and rescue assistance on the ground within thirty-six hours. In the Philippines after their worst and most horrific storm in history, Israel was amongst the first on the scene; it was difficult beating the United States as they have bases already there. Nepal, Japan, Philippines and the other nations where Israel has come to aide, even setting up Israeli clinics in villages so remote they had previously never been visited by outside assistance even from their own government, have lower statistic of anti-Semitism then even the developed nations. Often in these instances one Israeli remains behind for a year training the people of the village and surrounding area first aid, use of diagnostic equipment, upkeep and calibration, and other areas of medicine leaving the clinic and equipment behind and restocking these clinics until the government of that nation can take over the operations. Israel had the most broad search and rescue teams as well as field hospital in Nepal, something nations with ten times as many of their citizens lost in the earthquake did not do. Israel remained ten days longer than scheduled as they refused to depart without finding their last citizen. These nations have the least anti-Semitism of the world as they have seen the truth that is Israel. Israel is one of the few nations to offer the United States their assistance after Katrina and Sandy and other natural disasters. Often Israeli assistance is refused as in Sandy and Katrina as well as 9/11, but Israeli expertise assisted after the Boston Marathon bombing. Israel has been accused by some of never stepping up and assisting the United States after a disaster and labeled as ingrates for such lack of actions. The truth is Israeli assistance after every disaster in the United States has not only been refused but banned from assisting even through Jewish agencies.

 

Still, Europe rates less anti-Semitic than anywhere outside of the United States and Israel. The most negative feelings towards Israel and Jews come from the Arab Palestinian areas where they are fed a continuous sixty hour a day stream of anti-Semitic lies and misrepresentations even including misrepresenting actual news stories, using proven libels such as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and religious instruction which demands their hatred of Israel and the Jews. The area with the highest anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism and anti-Israelism was MENA followed by Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa with North America and the United States and Canada along with Czech Republic having the lowest such numbers. MENA led the world with number of people never having met a Jew in their lifetime, but that did not prevent their hatred for them. Next in the never having met a Jew was Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. Europe rates very high on having met a Jew yet still held many negative feelings and beliefs about Jews. Despite many attributes one might think their civility would prevent Europeans from being heavily anti-Semitic, anti-Zionist or anti-Israeli. They managed to reach high levels in many areas which should be cause for concern and even panic and reassessment of their societal outlooks. One of the more amusing sets of numbers was the percentages which believed that the Jewish Population of the planet was above 2%, above 5%, 10% and even 20%. The truth is the Jews number below 0.2% of the world’s population. Europe still had a higher rate of hatreds and belief in stereotypes and blood libels even compared to areas of the world with almost no Jewish population. The frightening numbers in Europe and beyond were the percentages of those who had never met a Jew to having highly anti-Semitic, anti-Zionist and anti-Israeli rating as well as believing some of the most horrific and terrible blood libels about Jews such as the Holocaust was made up by the Jews as well as believing that the Jews controlled media, retail, politics, the United States, and other businesses which even the most casual observer could see was false. Despite the seeming propensity of Europeans, and an even higher percentage of European politicians, dislike to hatred for the Jewish People and everything that is seen as Jewish such as Israel, Zionism, and presumably the Governments, Israeli leaders still seek European approval. If Jews were even marginally as influential and controlled so many nations, political parties and think tanks and other political entities; we would not be so despised. We really would rule the world and control everybody’s life from birth to death just as far too many Europeans believe.

 

With such spewing of hatred and poison from the European halls of power and hierarchy against Israel, Zionism and Jews in general, one would think that the Israeli government would be done with Europe and anywhere else that holds such negative tropes as truisms. Instead the Israeli leadership spends far too much energy and effort attempting to favor friendship with these European leaders who would just as soon demolish Israel and eradicate what they see as a scourge on the planet which is the Jews. The manner in which Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ya’alon have acted echoing almost word for word the New York Times (American newspaper that thinks it is European), the French, British and other parliaments, far too many Foreign Ministers and virtually every other anti-Semite sitting in a position of power in Europe; one would think they are running for election in Europe. They feign glory to the point that it becomes an obsession serving the European Parliaments and their respective ministers. Though some Israeli politicians have seen fit to denounce Salim Mulla, Jeremy Corbyn, Ken Livingstone, conspiracy theorist Michael Harris, Ilyas Aziz and a few others, the majority appear to believe that if the Europeans or Americans disapprove of an action that Israel should be forbidden doing such. Had such an attitude existed in 1947-8, there would likely be no Israel as either Israel would have declared itself a state or forever remained in limbo as the Europeans and United States State Department believe now as they did then. This seeming insistence that every move taken by the government of Israel must first have the approval of the United States and Europe and that if too many amongst these anti-Israel haters disapprove then obviously Israel should reassess their standards and the manner in which things are observed bringing them in-line with the Europeans and Americans. That is no way to effectively run a country, especially one as alienated as Israel.

 

The Israeli politicians apparently get into a society where emulating the Europeans and certain Americans (you know, the politically correct Americans and not those Tea Party, Sarah Palin supporting, Rush Limbaugh, Ted Cruz supporting, Michael Savage listening, Glen Beck following Neanderthal throw-back, retro-genetic, devolved morons) becomes required. Things in Israel must be conditioned and approved to be socially acceptable at the finest of European art houses and cafés no matter the effect or results and destructions such policies might have on Israeli society and the survival of the Jewish People. This dependence on European and leftist approval had become most evident in the treatment of the soldier Elor Azariya in the shooting death of a Palestinian terrorist who had just been neutralized from attempting to stab IDF soldiers at a checkpoint but had yet to be inspected for explosives or even other weapons. The soldier stated he believed that the terrorist was reaching for a detonator, a story upheld by virtually all others including MDA medics who were at the scene and some unable to even approach the terrorist as he was not completely rendered safe and explosives free among other security checks. The soldiers who had not done so were busy tending an injured soldier with multiple stabbing wounds. There had been a second terrorist who had received fatal wounds when soldier fired in self-defense. Before even the initial statements were gathered from those at the scene, the Prime Minister and Defense Minister were already declaring the soldier to be a horrible monster expressing rumors of things he might have said in the barracks where fish stories abound, just not about fishing. They and other Knesset Ministers along with the leftist media had tried and convicted the soldier before nightfall and were all but calling for his head on a pike outside the Damascus Gate of the Temple Mount. Their knee jerk reaction spouting exactly what would be the European reaction the next day was pathetic and showed a cowardice for backing a protector of the people, an IDF soldier. Is it any wonder why the Religious Zionists in the society feel they have no trusted friends except for a small core of fellow travelers amongst those in the halls of power. This is even more true when one considers the robes of justice would be too leftist even in some European nations and would be considered a travesty in many states of the United States. The fear to be nationalistic amongst Israeli elite is a disease which needs curing if Israel is to survive. The good news is that the majority and growing numbers of the people support the soldier and are realizing that Judaism and Zionism are the two anchors necessary if Israel is to survive. Now Israelis need to face the most impossible challenge they may ever face as a nation, finding those who believe as they believe and placing them in ever larger numbers into the Knesset and into taking position within the various government agencies, especially law enforcement and national security. The most difficult will be weeding out those holding high positions in the IDF and other enforcement agencies, most especially those dedicated to security and intelligence, as well as making greater inroads into the media and entertainment. We realize the last areas are not normally areas of expertise or even interest for those more dedicated to building the nation, its economy and religious institutions and following Torah; but if the foundations of culture are not swayed over to Torah and the land, then all else will be a struggle and forever an uphill battle. We cannot be like Sisyphus and push the bolder to the top of the hill every day only to have it roll back to the valley below every night. We must not even be like the great King Leonidas who led his three-hundred Spartans and five thousand supporting Greek soldiers who held the pass at Thermopylae for three days before falling to the Persian masses of troops.

 

This is a battle that the religious Zionists must win decisively and permanently which means that like we learn Torah and attempt to live Torah, we must also live for Israel and make her survival on all the land Hashem promised starting with the area between the river and the sea which we must make all under Israeli rule and yet continue the democratic governance. Perhaps the time is coming where a Constitution is crafted and a new bicameral parliament or legislature established while using such to preserve the Jewishness of the nation of Israel. We need to marry all the various tribal-like customs and blur the differentiations between Eastern European and Western European as well as MENA communities and the other various tribes we are discovering as they are beginning to make the trip home, the Ingathering. Making the rabbinate to have but a single Chief Rabbi would be a step in the right direction and our children have already taken giant stride towards unifying the differing factions through intermarriage, a beautiful and fitting step in the right direction. Finally, Israeli governance must be first, foremost and almost exclusively about Israel and the rest of the world be permitted their screaming as long as we acknowledge their defamations and are able to repeat them and still refuse to establish policies based on the demands placed upon Israel by a hostile outside world. We have Torah and need little else. Torah allows our choosing our governance as long as that governance serves the people and does nothing to lessen the influence and applications of Torah to our daily lives. The time is now to claim all of Judea and Samaria and begin to allow its peoples to become Israeli citizens or emigrate with our assistance if we feel such is required. We must take control of their education system and teach their students that which is necessary to live and be productive in a modern society. We need to bring services and establish economic inclusion as well as political, cultural and societal inclusion. By inclusion we will not mean Jewish but Israeli. Those who are Israeli must include having a respect for the Jewishness of the state of Israel. If any choose to violently refuse and combat against this Jewishness, they must be forced from amongst us. This includes those who instigate, plan bombings or disruptions, actively attempt to subjugate parts of the nation or any other treasonous acts. This is no different than any other nation which is a free democratic nation. Then our nations can become one and the world will recognize our singular right as the Jewish State. Servitude is no path to equality, respectful nationalism and the exercise of the right to make one’s own way as a nation that is the path to equality. What is beautiful about this path is that each nation can walk with pride in their differences while respecting others that right and then weaving the fabric which includes all the nations of the world. None can be a part of this fabric of nations if they bare swords against their neighbors as swords will tend to cut and then shred the fabric and thus undo all efforts of mutual beneficial actions. Those baring swords need be exorcised from the community of nations and disregarded in all acts between nations until they prove they prefer inclusion to supremacy. Israel needs to show a stronger self-confidence and belief in our rightness of actions and place out before us our beloved Torah in all actions and all that it includes, as it is a rarity amongst such laws as it allows for others to live as they choose providing they allow the Jews the same.
