Erasing the Western World Through Education

What if one day they just decided that the history of the Western World was too white, too colonialist, too male dominated? What if they decided that Western Literature was menial, was substandard, was subordinate to African, Asian and, well, all other literature? What happens when the Western elite decide that the Western ways are an anathema to them and ordered the destruction of their own culture through the educations system, through unenforced borders, through forced assimilation to every other culture, through the media degrading the Judeo-Christian Western culture and every means necessary? What if the leaders became so guilt ridden to their past and denounced their former colonialism despite it bringing enlightenment to much of the globe and denounced their slaving past despite leading the world in abolitionist movement enforcing equality and freedom for everyone within their society finally living up to the teachings of their prophets and leaving human sacrifice and the brutality of the past leading to the brink of a new age only to have the elite decide that the future was too frightening as they would lose their privilege so they decided to destroy everything in the hopes of surviving to stand atop the ruins? What if we told you that is exactly where the leftists were leading the United States and are still taking Europe? Their plan was derailed when those they considered to be their inferiors in what they saw as ignorant and uneducated flyover-country decided they loved their world and their country and their way of life and decided to elect an egotistical megalomaniac with delusions of intelligence who pontificated about closing the border, repealing Obamacare and taking the nation back to some semblance which these people would recognize.

Allow us to give you a few select peeks at how far the insanity has spread and the deepness of the sickness infesting the elites in the ivory towers of academia. First let us look at academia and some of the ridiculous ideas and even one particularly troubling assignment. An article by Giulio Meotti who appears to have assigned himself two particularly thankless assignments for the bulk of his writings; covering the decline and agonizing death of Europe and with it Judeo-Christian ethics for the continent and defending Israel from unfair and anti-Semitic criticisms which appear to run rampant across much of our world. He informs us that South Africa is preparing to eliminate the study of William Shakespeare from the school curriculum. Their plan is to replace him with African poets. Education Minister Angie Motshekga told the parliament, “The consideration of the works of Shakespeare is one aspect of the overall process of review of the literature.” In a recent New York Times editorial by two philosophers, they called for removal of the teaching of Shakespeare. Additionally, a group of the student body at Yale University has petitioned for the elimination of Chaucer, Shakespeare and Milton. But the rampage against Western culture is not limited to the literature department, oh no. When students petitioned to have Stanford include in the curriculum a course on “Western Culture,” the administration turned them down flat. Out of the fifty-two leading universities in the United States, a course on the Bard, Shakespeare, appears in a rousing four of them. Not to be outdone, Oxford University has decided that a “review” of their curriculum is in order with the aim of increasing “diversity.” An article in the website of the Oxford editions by Gary Taylor stated some pretty radical ideas including asking, “Was Shakespeare racist?” He called for taking “Canterbury Tales” off the reading lists. Giulio Meotti suggested this was possibly done to make room for the Zulu poetry.

Then there are some disturbing assignments equally as challenging. Iowa State University Professor James Strohman assigned his students in their international studies course to, “Write a paper that gives a historical account of 911 from the perspective of the terrorist network. In other words, how might Al-Qaeda or a non-Western historian describe what happened.” Just in case anyone might think that such an assignment might upset students where they might object to having to take such view of the events from that day, he added, “Don’t worry about the fact you don’t agree with the terrorists, the point of the exercise is to consider completely different perspectives.” When asked by the College Fix a spokesperson stated the assignment was not to take away from the “tragic events” of that day. The assignment did give some further advice stating, “Let’s focus on the 911 terrorist attack and how it might be interpreted differently by different people around the world. For this exercise, you have to ‘get out of the box’ of our thinking about what happened on 911 and view it from a completely different perspective.” Such preposterous of a story needs some validations so we have included the actual assignment as presented below.

These are just the tip of an iceberg and Western Civilizations and Judeo-Christian Ethics is the Titanic on her maiden voyage and it is approaching the midnight of April 15, 1912. The open borders which were proposed by President Obama (despite his having set immigration bans from suspected Middle East nations where terrorism was rampant) and would have been accelerated by a hint over five-hundred percent, that was according to Ms. Hillary herself. It was on Face the Nations where Hillary Clinton told CBS, “I would like to see us move from what is a good start with ten-thousand to sixty-five-thousand and begin immediately to put into place the mechanisms for vetting the people that we would take in.” Well, at least there would be vetting probably very similar to that used under President Obama. If we remember correctly, as long as Iran vouched for you, then you must be perfectly fine, or something equally wonderful.

Further, Angela Merkel has announced she will run for a fourth term as German chancellor in a crucial national election next September without any reservations to her past performance and the refugee situation. She did claim it had been a difficult decision as there exist complex challenges which she will face and there is the “absurd” expectation for Germany to take a world leadership role since Barack Obama leaves office. Listing some of these challenges Ms. Merkel stated, “The European Union is currently under great strain, with the euro crisis, with the refugee question, and following the decision of the United Kingdom to want to leave the EU, and with a situation in the world which, to put it delicately, needs to focus itself anew following the elections in America and also regarding the relationship to Russia.” As far as the situation in the world and the expectations that she have answers for everything, especially due to the election of President Donald Trump in the United States, she added, “especially after the elections in America, that I’m expected to deal with, it’s very grounding, but I feel it very strongly as grotesque and downright absurd.” She has made some statements of late expressing reservations for Germany carrying the bulk of the refugee problem and believes that Germany still has her role to play in this problem. Angela Merkel still speaks of Germany taking refugees but has walked the unconditional acceptance of nearly unlimited numbers back from her original eight-hundred-thousand per year to a more vague and limited expectation without placing an actual number limit. One might think she would have learned from the horrors Germany has suffered in response to her policies thus far. Still, Chancellor Merkel can expect rave reviews and stellar write-ups in the German and European media with full backing of every leftist news source.

The backing that the leftist European candidates receive from the vast majority of their media is quite similar to that across the pond in the United States. This means that across Europe the citizens can no better rely on the poll numbers or the reporting, especially things reported about nationalist candidates. Another warning to our European friends is that within the six weeks before your elections you can expect the leftist candidates to take steps and announce programs they will support which will never come to be. These are feints to lead the people to believe that they are moderate except they will continue to act in the same manner as they have on the past. Leftists are pretty much incapable of changing their stripes. In closing, there are a few items you may wish to have your candidates reply about where they stand on Judeo-Christian ethics, Western Civilization, Chaucer, Shakespeare, Kant, Freud and, oddly enough, whether they support Israel or the Palestinians, and they can only choose one.

Synagogue Desecration Draws Little Outrage

Adjacent synagogues in Ezer, a town located between Ashdod and Ashkelon, were broken into and vandalized. The damages included ripping the doors off of the ark which held the Torah Scrolls, tearing of Torah Scrolls, leaving uncovered Torah Scrolls on the floor, damaging other holy books tossing them strewn about on the floor and treating other holy objects in a destructive manner. This desecration comes only a week after a similar desecration of a synagogue in Tel Aviv where Nazi graffiti had been painted on the walls and floors along with “Death” spray painted on the front wall of the building, and a crude drawing of a devil painted on the floor. Other such crimes have occurred within the last year including the desecration of King David’s Tomb during the recent massive snowstorm. Newly donated religious holy books were stamped with the fictitious name “Academy – King David.” In all of these instances the response, if there was even a response, was muted and no official denunciation by high government or religious figures was released to the public or the press.

This is exactly the opposite as the reaction to a recent desecration of a Mosque in Israel coming from Prime Minister Netanyahu as well as the both Chief Rabbis all of whom echoed the original charge that the unholy act was perpetrated by Jews as a means to victimize the Muslims residing in the town. The subsequent intensive police investigation into the Mosque desecration revealed that the vandalism was most likely carried out by the Muslim Arabs residing in the same town as the Mosque in order to cast blame on Jews and rouse additional hatred towards the Jewish residents in the neighboring areas. The investigation into the Mosque incident was a full-force effort with nothing spared under the supervision of highly placed officials while the synagogue vandalisms are often not given similar efforts nor do they involve as wide an interest by politicians and high officials. Is this really the image the Israeli authorities wish to convey that Jewish holy sites and items are not as protected or whose desecration is of less importance than are Mosques, Churches and other religious holy sites. One would hope that any such desecration would garner equal importance and investigation and if any should raise more alarm, it should be Jewish holy sites, which is not to claim that Jewish sites are more holy, just that presumably as Israel is the home of the Jews, it would only stand to reason.

The problem that is exhibited by not rising to the same level of pique and concern over the desecration against synagogues as officials demonstrate for those other than Jewish holy sites is that Jewish holy sites are less holy and of less value than those of other religions. It reflects that the Jewish leadership of the Jewish State of Israel care more for other religions than they care to give to their own. This has been further reflected in many recent comments from some of the Jewish leadership from within the government including the State Prosecutor’s Office and the Knesset. Recently Finance Minister Yair Lapid came out on Facebook calling for the Chief Rabbis to be dismissed from their jobs. His postings included, “It is insolent and a national scandal, and we will act to have them dismissed, both in the Knesset and in the government and even in the legal sphere if need be.” Further he wrote, “These civil servants who are employed by the State of Israel and receive a very lovely salary are sitting in their comfortable offices with their state-provided vehicles and announce that they do not agree that women should serve in the mud and cold as fighters, in aviation courses, in the Border Police.” Yair Lapid continued, “Does this mean that the female commander of the Eitam combat battalion should resign? And what about Orna Barbivai (the head of the IDF’s Manpower Division)? Or all the female teacher soldiers? And what about the female intelligence soldiers I met two weeks ago in the Northern Command, who prevent the infiltration of terrorists through the fence? Should they also not serve?” He summed his tirade stating, “David Lau and Yitzchak Yosef no longer deserve to serve as Chief Rabbis in Israel.” Like many secular Jews, Minister Lapid honestly believes that Rabbis are supposed to obey the decisions made by the political leadership above and over the teachings and commandments of Torah and related holy works. As a secular Jew, Lapid considers the machinations of men in pursuit of making the secular governmental laws of the land to be superior to Torah and traditions and that in any case of a conflict between the secular and the religious that the Rabbis must bend and satisfy the secular leadership over G0d and Torah and interpreting the commandments as written. He is like so many who hold that science and the presumed maturing of humankind has rendered Torah obsolete. Such a view is also indicative of those who have not studied Torah and the Jewish faith deeply and are unable to possess an appreciation for Torah and its wisdom. As such one would hope that as a secular Jew he would refrain from the pretense of judging the Halachic decisions using secular eyes.

Then there are comments made by Justice Minister Tzipi Livni who was quoted claiming, “I want to take another approach, an approach that opens Israel to the rest of the world, cracking the glass ceiling and bringing more opportunities, and economic, scientific, and academic cooperation. I want to see a liberal, Zionist Israel, not a conservative, nationalistic one.” Where her comment did not specifically call for a secularly based Israel over a religiously based Israel, one can easily see in her words and from previous statements and actions that Minister Livni desires that Israel embrace secular pluralism over following Torah and Jewish traditions. Minister Livni has also revealed her disdain for traditionalists and the religious Zionists in Israel through what has been learned through leaks and other news which paint a picture of Livni’s willingness to sacrifice Jerusalem, the Old City, Temple Mount, and Mount of Olives and the Mount of Olives Cemetery along with all of Judea and Samaria and other disregards for the positions of the religious Zionists. Tzipi sees Israel as a “modern” secular pluralistic nation which is based upon scientific facts and those proven truths which are the basics of a secular humanist socialist philosophy that idolized the teachings of Darwin, Freud, and the progressive leaders of the Twentieth Century over the Torah, Talmud and three thousand years of Jewish teachings and history.

It is looking at the world through secular filters which disregard faith and in place relies upon scientific postulates and proven theories and the sciences of biology, physics, chemistry, sociology, and psychology and dismissing virtually anything predating the eighteenth century as irrelevant and simply erroneous as it does not pass the visions defined by the secular progressives of the past two millennia that leads to the total reliance on science and basically ignoring the depth of wisdom from the beginnings of recorded human history and their expressions at the wonderment of the human soul and the awe of the world and the mysteries hidden from mere human understandings and the commandments rising from sources beyond scientific definitions. That is not to advise that one ignore the entirety of scientific discovery but a call to supplement the science with a reverence that includes the teachings of Torah and related studies. Wisdom comes from more than the test-tube, calculator, protractor, compass and the provable. Much of what is most precious to a full understanding of the self almost demands that one include the understandings of human nature which, in opposition to modernist views, has not changed very much over the millennia since the beginning of recorded human history. There has even been a relatively new trend within the scientific circles which has found renewed importance and appreciation for faith, wisdom and the beliefs from the Bible and Torah. Perhaps it is through the tempering of both approaches which serves mankind best.
