Europe Has a Big Silent Secret

Europe still keeps statistics on crime, even violent crimes, and they show that violent crimes are continuing to trend downwards. Murders are decreasing. Robberies are decreasing. Sexual assaults are decreasing. Well, that is amongst the normative communities. Many European police departments have started keeping two sets of books. One set of books is about normative crime committed by normal, multigenerational Europeans. That book is the one that is reported to the people in Europe and is being used as a tranquilizing agent. The statistics generated by this set of books a calming, soothing and oh so very optimistic. These statistics and crime reports are for those who desire to continue on believing that Europe is on the verge of a wonderful and bright future. These optimists are dependent upon good news reports on statistical improvement of Europe and the advancement of European society and governance and all that goes with this. These are the people who read all the right papers which only cover the flowers and smiles unless something so overwhelmingly evil and immense, such that it becomes impossible to ignore, then it is reported and sterilized as much as possible with any hint that it might be part of a greater area of criminal acts and violence ongoing yet uncovered.

This is where the other set of books come in play. These are the books which report about the unspoken crimes which are taking place. These are the hidden-crime books which do not even begin to cover the full extent of these crimes and they only really matter if they manage to also get into the other set of books that they really matter. There are crimes which go completely unreported in either book as the police can only report those crimes of which they are aware. If there are communities where the police treat as no-go zones, then crimes within that community do not exist officially. What if a crime is committed, never reported to the authorities presumably responsible for where it occurred, instead handled by the neighborhood in which it occurred, if and only if they consider it a crime and not if they do not believe it is a crime even if there are laws against the act in the outside world, and no state official at any level is ever involved or even knowledgeable about said crime. Is that really a crime or is it an uncrime? This crime is not in the official general crimes kept book and not in the unofficial other than general crimes book. It may have been brought to the attention of the local unofficial authority within this community or to the head of the family and never goes any further. The community authority, family head or some level of authority decides that this is not to go further, they decide guilt, innocence or if anything wrong even occurred. This becomes an uncrime. But there is a greater form of what is best described as other-crime. Other-crime is what the other set of books report and they are the crimes which the police find out about or have reported from the immigrant controlled areas where the police rarely tread except on necessity and then only in force. Some of these crimes become known to the police and authorities when they are called upon to escort an ambulance into these closed communities. These books also cover another kind of crime which would be best called by the name of quieted-crime. Quieted-crime are those crimes where immigrant community members interact with the other Europeans and the police are able to prevent any repercussions outside of the police who took the report and the European is convinced to remain quiet and not make any big deal and to simply accept that the police will do what they can but there really is not that much that can possibly be done. This includes numerous cases of sexual attacks and other similar criminal acts such as the events during New Year’s Eve in Germany reported by Sueddeutsche Zeitung. This is a small crack allowing a small view of the hidden-crime books which escaped and is going to be downplayed once again until this report is forgotten.

Europe by National Flag

Europe by National Flag

The reality of crime diminishing must be preserved and the influx of immigrants has had no deleterious effects must be preserved at all costs. Political careers are completely dependent upon immigrations never becoming a contentious issue. Europe cannot continue to have unhindered immigration with completely open borders allowing as many “Asian” immigrants from the Middle East, North Africa and the Horn of Africa if the hidden-crime books were to become completely public. But that is the whole reason why there are two sets of books covering criminal actions. Do not for a minute think that the politicians are not aware of the existence of both books. They are completely aware of the facts and that they are risking the entirety of European society by their actions but they are trapped by their own past performance. Some of these politicians have been around for much of the influx of the immigrants and a few have even been around since the start of the breakdown of European society. European society has changed dramatically since World War II and as time passed since that war, the changes have gained speed and the consequences have snowballed. One of the results of the changes in Europe was a decreasing population rate. This has been the result of what is referred to as the “me generation” and their interest in chasing their own enjoyment and sacrificing having families, or at least children, as families and responsibility steal the freedom to have life as one continuous party. When you stop having children, this creates a problem for those who govern, namely how to have sufficient workers to provide for the aging populations. This drove the need for immigrants, bodies who could be put to work to provide the taxes to pay for the retirees which were soon to come as the post-war generation retired. The idea was to allow a free flow of immigrants to fill jobs in order to pay for government and the future. The economies did not produce sufficient jobs and the 2008 crash turned many immigrants into unemployed immigrants. When the immigrant society got a taste of the unemployed life and the social safety net of payments provided by European governments, they realized that they could live a relatively comfortable life well above what they had in their home nation by simply living in groups and collecting government handouts. This has led to the immigrants producing an even more serious financial problem as they began to collect more funds than they produced in taxes. That led many of the politicians doubling down on allowing immigrants in hoping to get ahead of the collapse. They are not going to be able to prevent the coming failure of Europe.

The crime remaining unreported is just half of the problem which is snowballing. The economic problems are now a runaway train with its throttle wide open and nobody at the controls. There will always be hopes that the immigrants will find that taking jobs provide a better life than government handouts or the governments will find that they are forced by financial troubles to end many of their handouts and this might force the immigrant communities to seek employment or return home. Then Europe will simply have to seek some way other than immigrants to solve their financial difficulties. But there may be something in the not too distant future which could turn everything around. There is always that old favorite of Europe when economies are stagnant, everything is looking like a really sorry future financially, there appears to be no easily enacted means of solving the problem, taxes have been exhausted and all else appears bleak, there is always a great war to reset the economic scales and starting over from scratch with a society to rebuild offering jobs for all. What solution from Europe’s past, when facing economic difficulties, is it to which we are referring? It is everyone declaring war on one another and fighting until all resources are exhausted. One would hope that the Europeans might have progressed beyond that solution. But then again, there is nothing like tried and true methods perfected by thousands of years of history. Perhaps it is the perfecting of warfare which would make such a solution being unimaginable, but that solution should not be completely ruled out.

Fortunately, there is another solution on the horizon and we can only hope it does not come too late to save Europe. That solution is the end of economies, as we have always known them. Social economics have always been predicated on workers and spending to provide the employment for the workers. But what if workers did not require being paid and designing products also did not require paychecks, and the entire workforce was automated and people only had jobs if they desired to have them. People who worked would receive additional buying power allowing them to have a more extravagant lifestyle. They would have access to nicer pad, nicer digs, sweeter ride (which would be actually having a ride) and better seats at the restaurant, opera (performed by robotic Artificial Intelligence (AI) actors) and generally more variety in entertainment. Still, with all production and design generally provided by robotic entities as well as AIs and government has found a means of providing buying power without actually using money. The government should be capable of allowing certain levels of purchasing, government provided housing, and everything desired by the people freely as long as the production and other desired needs are provided by AI and robotics with a small workforce who receives compensation advantages in purchasing as purchasing is money free. Purchasing will be provided through personal card, kind of a credit card with the credit set by the government. This also would allow providing people who work a larger spending capability. All Europe need do is make it to the point where the AIs and robots are running our societies. Once the developed world is run by AIs and robots, they will have reached a point where the main drive from their world should, if they really hope to live in peace, spreading their economic abilities and life of ease to the remainder of the world. Then the sole item which would need to be guarded against would be any violent actions from any of the nations which are being transformed for inclusion in the advanced societal structure developed. The one item which might be required for the developed world to provide safety would be automated AI law enforcement which would prevent warfare from any point on the planet. This would also require the most difficult of all things, allowing the AIs to also become the government. How can we get politicians to surrender their fat cat easy lives of excess through insider trading to allow themselves to be replaced by a supercomputer? Perhaps by doing away with the stocks which provide them the trade advantage. The real challenge for the world is to get to that future before we annihilate ourselves in one huge exchange of nuclear weapons enveloping the entirety of the globe such that even Antarctica melts in the exchange. Anyone care to take bets on this?

Plans for Heterodox to Move Forward and Move On

Let us assume that times they have changed and the Jordanian Waqf has been sent packing back to Jordan and an area on the Temple Mount has been cleared and the foundation is being laid on a little more than two acre area sitting between and forward of the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque as many things have changed. A small area of the Dome of the Rock’s Plaza will be used for the Third Temple. One might have thought that even this far after the end of the Palestinian problem being settled people might have given it a rest, but no. Some did claim it was quite satisfactory while many Arab leaders claim that the solution of buying the lands and granting every non-Jew an extravagantly generous relocation bonus was cheating the Palestinians and many from within Israel who took the offer of their heritage. Those who relocated claimed that no heritage was worth that much. So, here we are twenty-five years after the al-Aqsa War which began with Hamas’s coup in which Mahmoud Abbas was barely rescued by, unofficially, a rescue squad dropped in with a dozen CH53 helicopters taking out the leadership of Fatah and the Palestinian Security Forces including all of Force 17 and the helicopters were covered in the air by one dozen Osprey flying low support and a half dozen Harriers flying high cover, though against what Hamas aircraft would be a logical question. Hamas turned their coup right around into a two front war on Israel the second week of August after they had received a United Nations approved and protected transfer of security forces to serve as police in their Judea and Samaria controlled areas. They also sued in the United Nations to have their areas freed of any IDF interventions and for recognition as Palestine demanding they be granted free access between Gaza and Judea and Samaria. They received everything they requested from the General Assembly where less than a dozen nations opposed their demands, requests, whatever, but the United States vetoed everything in the Security Council. And for now, we can end with the proposed history thus allowing this story to continue.

The war was in its third day when the worst possible occurred and Hezballah joined the Hamas offensive believing they could make the critical difference, or maybe we should say that Iran thought they would make the critical difference. They did and Israel now holds almost all of the traditional lands of the Twelve Tribes with the Litany River as her northern border (see map below). The Russians in the name of Bashar al-Assad, yes he is still alive, took the northern parts of Syria so Hezballah is still on the northern border, just without any missiles as Russia reached an agreement with Israel to demilitarize the entirety of the Syrian-Israeli border, and the Russians have proven to be far more reliable than the United Nations. After the war, Israel made the offer to purchase any land, home, business, apartment, farm or other properties from any non-Jew within the enhanced Israeli borders and provide a generous relocation benefit along with the buyout plus airfare to any nation on the planet. Israel was even paying the price of any properties as they had been before the six-month war. Well over ninety-percent of Gazan, Judean and Samarian Arabs took the buyout, relocation benefit while almost seventy-percent of Israeli Arabs also took these options, and the three nations where the majority moved were Saudi Arabia, Canada and the United States with a relative few choosing Mexico. This was not surprising as Canada, Mexico and Saudi Arabia were the only nations the United States was able to pressure and bribe into accepting the refugees. The overwhelming majority of the Arabs who remained in Israel were Christian Arabs along with the Baha’I and most of the Druze decided to remain with Israel. The United Nations condemned Israel, demanded Israel share rule with the Arabs and when Israel instead formed the new Israel they decided to remove Israel from the United Nations. So, it was decided that the time had arrived to build the Third Temple in Jerusalem which was reached after heavy lobbying by The Temple Institute. Chief Rabbi Eliezer Melamed was also supportive as was the Beth El community. Once the United Nations and much of Europe and the West except the United States, Poland, Canada and Romania renounced their relations with Israel and removed their embassies, there was little to lose and no real consequences the world could threaten. Israel and her populations finally felt free and no longer burdened by needing to please the rest of the world, they had shown their true colors and done their worst, thus it was truly time to build the Third Temple as the people of Israel demanded.

Hypothetical Israel and Twelve Tribes of Israel

Hypothetical Israel and Twelve Tribes of Israel

Now with construction about to begin as the preparations were completing, there came the demand, the Temple had to have a courtyard area that would accommodate all of the many Heterodox Jewish communities. The claim came from the CEO of International Rabbinic Fellowship (IRF), UJA-Federation of New York, the chief executive of American Jewish Congress, the Central Conference of American Rabbis (Reform movement), the Rabbinical Assembly (Conservative movement) and a number of secular Jewish institutions who queried as to why any of the vast majority of non-Orthodox Jews would feel they have a place in Israel, acceptance within Judaism and would even desire to support Israel if the Third Temple was not inclusive of their sensitivities and practices. What was notable was their complete lack of mention or recognition of Halachic, or Jewish Law. The Third Temple was being built according to the instructions of how the Temple was to be constructed. And guess what? There was no place in the plans for anything other than a single courtyard for the Jews. The Israeli religious institutions, government and, after a group filed a complaint with the Israeli Supreme Court to force a second courtyard for the Heterodox Jewish communities, even the liberal Supreme Court Justices refused to allow a secondary courtyard and backed the religious community. So, the Third Temple proceeded to be built with a single courtyard and as closely as was understood to the biblical and Torah specified construction of the Temple.

End of the imaginary and now for a reality which I found after I made Aliyah and moved permanently to Israel. I was a relaxed Jew while living in the United States. Most of my life I barely went to services even on Shabbat or the High Holy Days. Often doing so was not even a possibility. The majority of places I lived the closest Synagogue was quite distant. If one existed, they were more often over an hour away and if there was one within twenty-five miles, I considered myself fortunate. I also had another problem with many Synagogues, and it was not distance in a literal and more usual meaning but rather political and sociological. Often people, including too often the Rabbi and definitely the men’s club and leaders of the synagogue would shun me once they found out that I did not believe in gun control unless you meant heading to the range for the day and practicing, that I seldom voted for liberal politicians, that I did not favor same sex marriage and instead believed that marriage should be a ceremony, with or without certificate, at a house of faith while the government should issue certificate of union and not marriage certificates. This way the government could have their secular rules, the religious institutions could do as their religious inclinations direct them, and the two should never dictate to the other what they must do. They were shocked when I did not support the courts demanding that bakers make a cake for a same sex marriage because they did not approve. They would claim I was a reactionary conservative monster. They were close but missed that I might be a realist libertarian conservative. I doubt most even know what one is.

Now I live in Israel. I make it to morning services as often as my aging body allows. Evening services, which includes afternoon, a short lesson and then evening, I attend in the winter as they are held early enough for me to attend before taking my evening medications. Spring and fall I am able to attend the evening first services which is the afternoon service, but then need to take my medications which allow me to start sleeping soon after taking them thus I stay home after taking them. This may appear to be strange as I also am keeping Kosher and light Sabbath candles, even if it requires my wife waking me to do so. There is something about the Land of Israel and the ease by which you are able to be religious and follow the Mitzvahs. I need to be honest and point out that I am still learning some of the Mitzvahs, but I am giving it effort. What originally surprised me were the levels of satisfaction and increasing belief in Hashem here in Israel. I have not reached the level that I am capable of hearing voices when near the Western Wall. The Temple Mount I cannot talk about not having been up on the Temple Mount, nor am I likely to do so until Jews have equal rights to walk and pray on the Temple Mount. This is a restriction which only Muslims are permitted to perform as the Jordanian Waqf still makes the rules for this holy site. They claim that their ever-stricter rules preventing people other than Muslims from having any right as a human being on the Temple Mount is because they decide it should be next to impossible and that makes complete sense because as Muslims they do not believe that anyone else is a human being.

The reason that the Third Temple (when built) and other holy sites in Israel, especially those which are outside and in general view of the public, one need act religious and not just to the level that one is comfortable committing but to the highest level in consideration for the religious who one would be offending by not obeying Halachic Law. One would not attend an Orthodox Bar Mitzvah and insist on having their girl friend sit in the main auditorium, not wear a Kippah because they do not wear them at the Reconstructionist Temple they belong to nor would one request a cheeseburger during the luncheon. When in Israel and outside you are, in many ways, in an Orthodox area. Walking into a Synagogue in Israel, unless you know for sure, simply believe that it will be an Orthodox Synagogue. The Western Wall is a form of Synagogue and one should simply assume that it is Orthodox area where such strictness applies. For fifty years the Kotel, as the Western Wall and Plaza are referred, has been treated as an Orthodox religious area and there have been numerous people who visit the site and they accept the men and women have separate areas and that the men will wear a Kippah. This has included quite a few non-orthodox and even non-religious men and women who have held to the restriction of an Orthodox Jew without any vociferous complaint.

When did the decency fall apart and the new demands become prevalent? The answer is in the very recent times, like the last decade at most. The next question has to be, why? Let us say it has something to do with our recent theme and the decision by the left that all things concerning Judaism (as well as Christianity) are evil and must be deconstructed, diluted and then destroyed. This includes the numerous secular leftist Jews, quite a few of which belong to non-Orthodox sects of Judaism or to the Oren-Orthodox, another sect which tries to fake being Orthodox by retaining the title without many of the rules, actually an ever increasing number of the rules have been dropped. All of these sects may not be in favor of destroying Judaism but they do contain a fair number of people who do favor such a destruction. What we do know about those on a mission to destroy Judaism, they are organized and will try to take over the control of ever more Jewish organizations in order to destroy our religion from the inside. What better place to destroy something than within. One perfect example is the Anti-Defamation League and their new Director Jonathan Greenblatt. Mr. Greenblatt is about as secular Jew as one can find and his politics as a Leftist Progressive outweigh his concern for Halacha. He supports LGBTQ rights, same sex marriage and believes that Israel must bend to accepting his ideas if the American Jews are to support Israel. The real question should be if these are the core beliefs of American Jews, how can they consider themselves Jews when they are really secularist progressive leftists. The two are separate and distinctly and mutually exclusive. It is not possible to ignore Torah and three thousand years of Jewish core beliefs and simply change them because your politics support the leftist secular irreligious views. Torah does not change and is what Hashem desires from us as Jews. If your belief in secular leftist progressive views outweighs your belief in Torah, then you are not Jewish and please do not try to dictate what makes a Jew to Israel, you will feel disappointed and rejected every time, though there are places in Tel Aviv where your ideas are acceptable, please feel free to visit these and you will find your stay in Israel pleasant. But should you visit my Synagogue or the Kotel or numerous other religious and holy places in Israel, please do us the courtesy of proper attire that includes wearing a Kippah for the men and separate access and possibly seating. Israel may be a modern nation but that does not make us any less Jewish and it is possible to be both. When in Rome, do as the Romans do and when in Israel, do as the Orthodox Jews so as such are the standard in Israel. Do not expect anything less and we will not bother you with your habits in America.

When Change Comes Merely For Change, Hope Can Only Follow

While it is a given that leftists, progressives, liberals or whatever one chooses to call those from the left of even the socialists demand change for the sake of change. Their rallying cry is and always has been we can do better and we can only get there through change, often, as was with President Obama in his 2008 campaign, radical changes. What people should ask themselves, and in turn those demanding change, is what we have working or has it failed us. The easiest way to remember this is to ask oneself as soon as one hears the mantra of change, especially change for the sake of progress, another way of saying change, is whether change is necessary or is the present system actually working. Even if we decide the system in place needs change, or simply some adjustments, then one need ask of those calling for change would be for them to spell out in specifics which parts of the system they believe requires change and what exactly is their change and how will it be an improvement. Usually if one simply claims change is required because we can do better, but they do not define the change, they just scream we must change everything that is not working or is broken, then this person is a danger to the society. Change is not in and of itself good. The concept that all change is inherently good because change will bring innovations and the latest new ideas into play and these new ideas are change we need is dangerous. Changes and new ideas should be approached with great caution, tried in selected places where if this change is an improvement, then this test group is the most likely to understand and gain from the change; and if they fail when trying change then one need return to the previous method and simply state that they gave the changes a fair assessment and they did not produce desired results thus these specific changes are harmful and will not be implemented.

Seasons Change as Do We but Their's is Inevitable While Ours Need Not Be

The most evident and easiest to understand is in the field of education, all levels of education. The reason education is such a prime example is because there have always been improvements introduced which were radically successful and other changes have crashed and burned and should have been rejected but for the sake of ‘progress’ (this word actually means change when used in anything even remotely political and education is the most egregious example of these rantings and the programs they installed) were instituted across the board because they only failed because the entire system was not installed and full implementation is the only true test. Full implementation means absolutely no way ever of returning to the previous method because it will have been erased from educator’s minds by the changes in the curricula being taught at every level to teachers, and teachers are one of the few professions where additional training is required. The change barkers, the change merchants, the bringers of change armed with demands of this has to be better as it is change and that makes it innovative beyond any rational understanding so you must accept change, will attempt to overwhelm any opposition with long diatribes which have no clear meaning other than a simple idea that ‘change equals good’ and that is all the argument necessary just as long as you never state that clearly.

Go online and try to understand Common Core math as there are many sites to try and understand their version of subtraction or their forms for algebra which will eventually give one the correct answer provided the answer is a whole number, any mathematician or physicist or other professional who uses math will attest is a rare occurrence which usually only exists in the problems set-up to produce such a result. The reasoning behind this new math, as it used to be named, is that flash cards and memorizing tables is evil and does not explain to the student exactly what addition, subtraction, multiplication and division actually are and this new method does so by revealing every step taken in one’s mind. Therein lays the problem because no two minds will react in exactly the same manner except for memorization.

You want children to understand simple math just give them one hundred dollars in a savings account and tell them that they must never ever allow the principle to drop below that one-hundred dollars. You can then explain how the interest is applied and once they have mastered their savings account they will have a grasp of every function including some simple algebra. Actually, handling money will often teach children what math means faster than anything else. Further, if you ever want to see if the math teacher fully understands addition, just ask them in math what is the definition of a successor. Their answer should start out like this: a successor to any whole number is the point one increment higher on the number line. Every number has a successor thus there is no highest number thus we represent that concept as infinity. As every number has a successor, ever number is the successor to the number before it on the number line. Addition is repeated successors such that five plus three you are looking for the number that is the third successor of five thus the first successor to five is six, the second is seven and the third is eight so five plus three is eight. Subtraction is exactly the opposite so you count in the other direction to find what had the number as its third successor. Multiplication is repeated addition and exponentials are repeated multiplication and once you master that, welcome to the sixth grade and word problems; you will simply learn to hate two trains on the same track. That should be the gist of the teacher’s reply to your question, a deer in the headlights eye lockup is not the desired answer from a math teacher, and yes, my major was theoretical math at some fairly reputed universities.

Another example which I feel has been unbelievably damaging to children’s education was a change for the goodness of change in how reading is taught. The departure from even the most basic of concepts for phonics being dropped and replaced with whole word recognition has a very nefarious and not simply damaging effect on reading, robbing from the child the ability to learn new concepts and ideas on their own. The use of whole word recognition makes it impossible for a child to know what the difference might be had they yet to be introduced to the two words of banana and umbrella as they have no manner to read these words for themselves by sounding out the words using phonics. They do not even understand that just by saying the name of the letters rapidly might also give them sufficient recognition to realize what the written word means. The child has likely run into the two words, banana and umbrella, in their daily lives but solely in conversation and thus knows bananas are food and umbrellas are used for rain or shade from the sun, but never having had the words themselves introduced under whole word recognition, they will not realize what either word is and will be at a loss for understanding.

This also comes in handy in controlling discourse or the ability to self-actualize and educate beyond their taught concepts let alone other more esoteric or ponderous political concepts outside those that may have been instilled by their educators. As is well established, control the language and one has controlled the discourse and the paths leading forward. This was well established in the novel 1984 with items being classified as good, plus-good, double-plus-good, ungood, plus ungood, and double-plus-ungood substituted for all emotions across an entire range such as envy, pride, satisfaction, hatred or any word dropped from the approved lexicon and also lost is the concept of having no opinion or neutrality thus one is forced to have an opinion even if one does not care thus everything at a minimum are either good or ungood, no such thing as ‘non-good or ungood’ as that was unacceptable speech thus a thought crime, something everybody knew was double-plus-ungood.

These have been some very basic observations on changes over the past half a century in the education profession where the goal of teaching was just as much, if not more so, to place barriers between the student and self-defining such that they could be molded in their thought to come to a uniformed result with all belonging to the groupthink and where individualism was discouraged. As an individual who attended a progressive school which was a test institution for the new reading and writing whole word recognition where I failed miserably as I seemed to continuously write and use words which were, as near as I could tell, unappreciated and there was a strong desire to press upon me the disapproval such words would have on my life should I persist in speaking using such terminology and that I should restrict my thoughts and expressions both written and spoken to appropriate language. As those of you who visit here probably have figured, I hardly ever restrict my choice of words to the meager vocabulary my school teachers of my youth desired I restrict myself to using. I was blessed with a mother whose patience rivaled that of Job who taught me at great pains, largely mine as she believed strongly in corporal-punishment, to use phonics starting with learning to sound out a word by simply saying the letters very quickly slurring them together and if that failed to use the more traditional sounding the word out painstakingly using every conceivable combination of long and short vowels and different emphasis and syllable break-points. I eventually learned sufficiently well enough to become self-sufficient in reading and learning new worlds though never quite to my mother’s, Baruch Hashem, complete satisfaction. My mother was to be blessed for teaching me to think and express myself adequately though after I realized my own path she did not exactly agree with my politics though she could rarely find fault with my positions, she just could not appreciate the manner in which I expressed my views when voting. I would always tell her that she need not worry as whomever I would vote for would be the candidate who would lose so she should be glad I did not vote as she preferred as that one vote would cause them to lose. Enough rambling and perhaps I might get back on track.

I find that I agree that certain things require changing and require such on a regular basis. Many pieces of clothing require changing each on its own schedule, though many choose to change all at the same time, to each their own. Traffic signals changing are a good concept. I have found that except for things which are cyclical that slow and steady change is not a bad idea as should any single step prove unproductive or worse, counter-productive, then it can be altered or even simply undone and discarded. That is how evolution works, or so I have been told though the skeletons of the individual animals which grew eventually into ducks and chickens from a singular ancestral bird have yet to be found; I will not condemn the entire theory as of yet. Somewhere there is an animal where one is a Ducken and another is a Chuck but thus far no such has shown. We are shown an animal’s skeleton and are told this is the ancestral animal from which we get the duck, the chicken, the swan, the emu, the Ostridge and etc. and etc. That had to be one proud bird-like creature to be the forerunner of so many different birds and yet I have trouble seeing the similarities and especially the differences.

Yard Filled With Choices Like Life You Chose the Road You Travel

Many of the ancestral animals I am particularly glad are not on Earth today as many were downright frightening in size and probably equally capable in defending themselves. I will always remember this one bird which they claim the Ostridge family arose that could kill a modern day buffalo with one strike from its beak by breaking the buffalo’s neck. That was one mean and nasty well-armed bird even if it could not fly. Yet, similarly the same biological-anthropologists, I think that is what they are called, tell us the cockroach has survived from before the dinosaurs almost unchanged over time as it has found itself well-adapted for its niche though some claim it has differed in size from time to time and even place to place. The difference in size from place to place I personally am able to confirm. These changes are necessary and led to our emergence so we do owe our very existence to change. That alone does not make change necessarily good. The flu virus threat changes every year, or at least the injection procedure and medication changes every year and this is definitely a bad thing, especially if the physicians guess wrong and a different outbreak were to strike which actually was favored by their flu shots, this would be a calamity, a world-wide calamity. So here change happens and unless the doctors get the correct change we can lose and lose big. But change in the manner in which we do things such as education, growing crops, raising herd animals, anything to do with the food chain should not be altered drastically or completely across all borders just in case one particular path proves devastatingly wrong. As long as there are crops or animals which were left unaffected by progress, then there would be a chance to return to a path which we know to be solid and proceed, making certain we do not go down that ill tread path ever again.

The same should apply to education, and even political change though that often comes only from violent and complete change, all too often resulting within a short period of time, an all too short a period, to result in the same dilemma though with a new tyrant replacing the old tyrant. Then there are the merchants of hope who claimed that Bashir al-Assad was a reformer and would bring democracy and an enlightened path to Syria because, after all, he was educated in Britain and had been shown the advantages of Western culture and a whole long list of positive enforcements which would serve as a bulwark guarding against any temptations to resort to the kind or actions his father had used when he nearly wiped out an entire town to put an end to demonstrations. Unfortunately for the Syrian people and the entirety of the heartlands of the Middle East the Bashir acorn did not fall far from the tree and we had an exact same response to the demonstrations and then some, leading to a dysfunctional devastation spreading across the heartlands of the Middle East from Lebanon across the Syrian borders through to Iraq and even sprouting offshoots in Libya, Sinai Peninsula, Nigeria and beyond known as ISIS and claiming to be the Caliphate. That too is a form of change but not exactly constructive change.

I am not calling for an end to change as to do that is to claim you are against all progress. I am also not ever going to claim that all change is progress and therefore inherently good. Measured change which has been tried and proven to be an improvement by a wide consensus comprised with people from as wide an array of perspectives, experiences and all other criteria which may be either favorable or unsympathetic to the planned change is careful and responsible change. The results should be measured by disparate methodologies and across every field which may be affected and these results repeated in second, third and even fourth separate studies using different situations and mediums as may potentially be affected as well. Once a change has proven effective and superior to the previous known and generally accepted methods, then it can be fully implemented. Change must be performed in incremental and deliberate stages such that any and all ramifications as well as any difficulties can be addressed and rectified before the next stage is implemented. Change which is undefined is and always will be a threat to the wellbeing of the society.

Whenever somebody, especially a person attempting to take a meaningful position such as principle of a school or President of a nation, they must be forced to define every step of what it is they plan to change before their call for change can be judged and then approved by the people. Change which is undefined and the actual changes kept from definition is truly Hope and Change and that can prove to be very detrimental, something the full effects of which are being and are going to continue to be felt unfortunately far beyond the borders where the people claimed that they could sign on to Hope and Change and all that went with it. May the full effects be able to be repaired before some of the change delivers some nasty results, the arming of Iran with nuclear weapons within the decade being a prime example. Hopefully the human race has had enough Change where Hope was the underpinning and will now know to force any politicians claiming to be the bringer of Hope coupled with Change will demand as to what it is they Hope for and what Change they intend to use to get there, and then limit their enthusiasms as much as one is able. Change will happen even if a Luddite gains office and his entire Luddite Party gains both houses of Congress, even with such a resistance elected, change will come because some changes just cannot be held back.

Once the steam engine was invented and modified for industrial use with the centrifugal governor regulating its speed there would be no going back to oxen as the power for industry, the industrial revolution became unstoppable. Change that is worth keeping will eventually come into being but even as that may bring in change, it must be allowed to bring certain changes to an end when they no longer serve any purpose. One need not install any centrifugal governor to a step dc motor because it cannot enter a runaway mode, thus requiring such might have been a great idea during the steam age but would become an unnecessary part in the electronic age and requiring one would serve to keep the copper ball manufacturers employed but that would serve little other use beyond needlessly increasing prices. Still, one would be astonished on how long people have been kept in the employ and even hired to fill a position even after their position was no longer required. The fire stokers were required to man stations even after the steam locomotives were replaced by diesel electric engines despite there being no fire to tend nor coal to shovel, but that position was kept as required to man any engine for almost two decades after they became obsolete. There are those who claim this is what led to the end of passenger rail service in the United States but at the same time made air travel so successful. Eventually necessary change will happen and when resisted it can have some very interesting consequences.
