Future Promises Playing Out on American Campuses

 

There is a truthism spoken by Vladimir Lenin which goes, “Give me just one generation of youth, and I’ll transform the whole world.” We would like to make a slight alteration which will be just as valid a statement but ours goes, ‘Look to the colleges and you will see your future ruling elites.’ This should frighten anyone familiar with what passes for normal on today’s college campuses. There are forces who have been making inroads to indoctrinate the youth and many have gotten into position as professors at some of the most prestigious universities in America as well as across Europe. They are assisted in selling their new view and plans for the future by instigators and NGOs which hate Israel and America looking to overthrow the elective systems of governance and replace it with totalitarian socialistic governance. Their initial protests were against Israel, as blaming the Jewish State and claiming the Jews stole Arab lands was an easier sell than attempting to vilify the United States. But with the election of President Donald Trump and the media storm which has ensued ever since, selling that the United States is an oppressive regime which denies equal rights to minorities has become an easier sell. Additionally, they can equate the Trump Border Wall with the Israeli anti-terror wall/fence and the border fence around Gaza. Additionally, they paint President Trump and with it the Congress, which had a Republican majority until the last election, as serving the upper one-percent and denying even a decent living to the other ninety-nine-percent, as ludicrous a statement as the claim that Israel is attempting genocide against the Arabs. First thing is if Israel was attempting genocidal practices against just the Palestinian Arabs, then how can one explain that their numbers since 1950 have gone from approximately seven-hundred-fifty-thousand to presumably over five-million. Further, the expanded version of that slanderous trope has been that the Jews wish to destroy the Arab and Muslim worlds, as if the around fifteen-million Jews on the planet today would even consider making such a war against the approaching two-billion Arabs and Muslim worldwide. But such claims against the Jews and Israel are often fed to college age youths who have little knowledge of Israel and at best neutral feelings with no real basis for understanding Judaism or Jews take such information, especially when it is presented as fact by professors, specifically those hired in departments of Middle East studies which are very often funded by Saudi Arabia and other wealthy oil producing Arab nations and even Iran through intermediaries such as Qatar. The root of the program to co-opt the minds of students in universities and colleges is not a new idea on how to plan a takeover of a nation. This was part and parcel of the Communists recruiting in Russia which led eventually to combining student revolutionaries and labor union leaders and their members to man the ramparts of the revolution. Thus, it should not be surprising to find the same approach being used today by the Islamists as they are slowly infiltrating the United States and were swarming into Europe until many nations froze their immigration and closed their borders. The first target of these groups is the Jews; of course as some things seldom if ever change. The Jews were the initial target of the Nazis claiming the Jews were all Bolsheviks and Communists while in Russia the Communists also were targeting the Jews claiming they supported the Nazis and were a danger to Russia and the revolution. Now, it was true that there were Jews who were Bolsheviks and Communists just as there were Jews who initially supported the Nazis, as they were, in both cases, useful idiots. Today, the Jews are being used as the threat and the controllers of the halls of power where they are abusing their influence to threaten numerous minorities, the integrity of the nation and numerous other nefarious activities. These are not new derogatory claims against the Jews as these are old blood libels which go all the way back to Haman and King Ahasuerus (Xerxes I) in Persia around 500 BCE. Even the Pharaoh who enslaved the Jews because he did not know Joseph, as explained in Torah, was convinced by his advisors that the Jews were too numerous and powerful and might join an invading foreign power against the Pharaoh and thus needed to be brought low. This was closer to 1800 BCE. This threat that the Jews are going to destroy the nation if they are not prevented from exercising their influences to the detriment of every other group, this is often made group sensitive depending on the audience being addressed. The saddest thing about this is there are Jews who willfully assist such tropes sometimes going so far as to echo them with some being professors who repeat such deceits and teach them as fact. Think about it carefully, as the Jews make up a mere two-percent of the population of the United States and despite being prominent in numerous fields, they simply do not have the numbers to accomplish those threats they are so often accused of perpetrating. When it comes to the United Nations, where Israel is constantly under assault and the Jews are often grouped as attempting to make the world subservient to Israel through their influence around the world; the Jews, less than zero-point-two-percent of the world’s population are going to do exactly what? But the Jews are and always have been a juicy and opportunistic target to funnel hate towards.

 

The main starting point is almost always Israel in these attacks, but as has now been witnessed on too many campuses, Jews are being targeted for violence, hatred and exclusion from college student government positions, positions on school newspapers as well as numerous other problems at numerous universities. These problems on American campuses are a recent development of the past quarter century and are a direct result of the moves by the Arab world to demonize and isolate Israel, and if they need to demonize Jews in general, that is just fine with them and possibly a bonus. Some of the accusations leveled against Israel include that it is a racist nation ruled by white European men who exclude people of color and women from power; Israeli Arabs are not permitted to live, work, join groups, be in the government and a host of other claims; Israel is working towards establishing a Greater Israel on all Arab lands, Jews are genocidally murdering Palestinian Arabs; the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) is killing Arabs for body parts to transplant and various other regurgitations of old canard and blood libels including stealing money, causing illnesses, poisoning the water, candy, food etc. and many, many more. Just to poke a small gaping hole, let us kill two accusations, possibly more, with one example; Haneen Zoabi is currently in the Israeli Knesset (parliament), though she is retiring and not running again, as an Arab, woman, pro-Palestinian who desired the destruction of Israel and has called for exactly that numerous times, so, any questions? The problem is the vast majority of Americans, and even more so amongst the youth, even those of college age, know little or nothing about Israel, know just barely more about Jews or Judaism, many have never knowingly met anybody who was a Jew or especially a religious Jew and are willing to believe what they are fed, especially when it comes from one who appears to be or is in a position of an authoritarian, which professors are especially believed and there are hosts of them, especially at some of the more prestigious institutions as they have been targeted by the Arabs and Islamists so as to indoctrinate the leaders of the future (if you skipped a link above, allow us to repeat it as it lists universities where Jewish students are prone to find difficulties, more so if they support Israel, and the list is frightening as many of those listed are prestigious halls of learning) and this is exactly where they hope to take the United States and are taking Europe, at least western and northern (Scandinavian) Europe. This is also evidenced by votes taken in the United Nations General Assembly and votes in the Security Council condemning Israel, disproportionally condemns Israel.

 

Conspiracy Theory of a Greater Israel

 

These events are troubling if one believes in a free world with mostly democratic governance and believes that people should be free to worship as they please and that religion, gender, race, national origin, sexual preference and all other human rights remain protected for all peoples. Unfortunately, there are forces at work which are diametrically opposed to these concepts but they are hiding often behind, of all things, human rights. Most of such organizations use Israel as their first and foremost punching bag because they can use latent or outright anti-Semitism to camouflage their true identities and purpose. These groups have targeting youth, especially those in universities, as their prime focus and are seeking to change the world to bring it under the sway of Islam. Many even disguise their Islamist roots while others are being exploited by those whose goals are an Islamic World Caliphate as described in the Quran. The Islamic world through these groups will often claim that Israel oppresses their Christians but they will never tell you that of all the nations within MENA (Middle East and North Africa) which is also called the Arab world plus Iran, only in Israel are the numbers of Christians increasing. They will claim that the Israeli occupation has forced the Christians out of Bethlehem. The problem here is that Bethlehem is currently ruled by the Palestinian Authority under Mahmoud Abbas and the Christians fled Bethlehem due to their stores being stolen or destroyed and then their homes and many left after death threats, all beyond anything Israel did or could do. They claim that Israel refuses to allow the Arab Palestinian from voting. Arab Palestinians are not permitted to vote in Israeli elections for a very simple and basic reason, they are not Israeli and live either under the virtual dictatorship of Mahmoud Abbas who refuses elections as he knows he would lose or they live under Hamas dictatorial regime in Gaza. Would the United States allow Mexicans or Canadians or Chinese to vote in their elections and is this denial the reason for a complaint that they deny these people a vote? Of course not, that would be ludicrous. Another reason these accusation succeed is simple, those spreading these largely false accusation are backed by nations with vast wealth as well as the numerous anti-Semitic forces and far-left and far-right political groups, neo-Nazis, and slowly but surely the left-wing political groups across the globe. The next potential and even likely Prime Minister of Britain, Jeremy Corbyn, the man who befriended Hamas and Hezballah but did not hate Jews, but cracks have appeared in those explanations which he swore by. Jeremy Corbyn is far from alone on the left, as some of the new members to the United States Congress have been proving. These are either Muslims (Ilhan Omar), Palestinians (Rashida Tlaib), or wide-eyed youths full of exuberance and short on knowledge (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez). Whatever their reasons, hatred of Israel and demands that it be erased from history, again, have been perched on their lips and we can expect many new faces with similar attitudes as time progresses. If screaming for people to wake-up, read-up, learn-up and if necessary, act-up before such things are no longer permitted is insufficient, then likely all is lost. Political correctness is not a polite way of speaking, it is controlling the language to control all debates and silence all who are opposed to those things which are inclusive and contained within intersectionality, which is designed to exclude Israel and her friends as Israel, and eventually this will be broadened to include all Jews, is considered beyond the pale and to be quashed. “The hate that begins with Jews (or the Jewish State) never ends with Jews,” former Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom.

Israel and Human Rights

 

Virtually all of the accusations filed against Israel concerning human rights have to do with the “occupations” and the horrific state the world is led to believe makes up the fate of the Palestinian Arabs. Israel has been condemned regularly for the Palestinian Arabs not having had an election since 2006 when Hamas won the majority of seats in the Palestinian legislature. Yes, there is a Palestinian legislature, the body which Mahmoud Abbas ignores as he continues in his twelfth, going on thirteenth, year of his five-year term as Palestinian Arab President. Yes, he is the Palestinian President. He is also the chairman of the Fatah Party, the head of the PLO and holds every seat of power in the areas under the direct rule of the Palestinian Authority of which he is the President, pardon the repetition. Everything concerning the Palestinian Arabs is beyond Israeli control politically and all of it is in the hands of Mahmoud Abbas. That takes care of the regions where the Palestinian Arabs reside in areas of Judea and Samaria. The Israeli “settlers” are all within Area C which according to the Oslo Accords was under purely Israeli control and thus are not imposing on actual Palestinian lands. If one is to go by what the Arabs claim as their land, then Tel Aviv, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Netanya, Nahariya, Eilat, Be’er Sheva and all of what you believe is Israel are all parts of the lands they claim are rightfully Arab lands and the Jews have no rights to anything, that is their official position. They state their truths constantly in Arabic while speaking niceties in English so as to put up a good front. Why has nobody heard about what they say in Arabic? Because for the most part nobody bothers to read what is put in plain sight by MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute), PMW (Palestinian Media Watch), Honest Reporting, Jihad Watch and other related sources which reveal the reality behind the propaganda and lies. The other reason is it is considered standard practice by the United States State Department and virtually every Western news service to be completely unable to translate anything said in Arabic as to have that capability would undermine their Israel is the problem policies.

 

Another fraudulent accusation is that Israel is an Apartheid state just as was South Africa with the Arabs being second-class citizens. The central fabrication used to prove this has been the lack of elections in either the Palestinian Authority or in Gaza. The Palestinian Authority has not held elections simply because Mahmoud Abbas knows he would lose and thus has used every ruse in the book, and invented a few new ones, in order to push elections off claiming emergency after emergency and then blaming Israel to the world. And of course, the world just swallows his lies and joins in a chorus of condemnation of Israel for Abbas refusing to allow elections in the region over which he has become their dictator. Gaza is an even more straightforward reason; Hamas decides who will lead and appoint whoever will fight Israel with the greatest zeal and ingenuity. So the Palestinian Arabs live under one of two dictatorships, Gaza under Hamas and the Palestinian Authority under Mahmoud Abbas. The next question posed is always, what about the twenty percent of Israelis who are Arabs. That usually is followed by the claim that they are denied rights. This is completely false and mendacious as the Arabs, Druze, Bedouin, Baha’i and every other Israeli have all the same rights. Arabs and others have served on the Israeli Supreme Court, are members of the Knesset, judges, teachers, physicians and every other occupation in the book. Arabs and Jews work side-by-side in companies with often Arabs in management over Jewish employees. Israel is not perfect, but tries to treat everyone who is legally a citizen with complete equality. Israel even granted the Arabs residing in Eastern Jerusalem the right to vote in local Jerusalem elections and they were granted permission to join any of the various medical services which other Israelis use despite their also still being considered Palestinian Arabs under Mahmoud Abbas. Many of the East Jerusalem Arabs have elected to obtain West Jerusalem mailing addresses so they will not have to return to being under the Palestinian Authority should Israel ever be forced to surrender East Jerusalem to Abbas. Israel is also a multicultural nation as Jews have returned home from many places one never would have thought Jews had migrated such as Ethiopia, Yemen, India plus the nearly one-million Jews evicted or forced from their centuries old homes throughout the Arab world across all of MENA (Middle East and North Africa). Jews of Israel are just as likely to have origins outside of Europe and North America as to be from such. The accusation that the Jews should just go back to the European countries from which they arrived in Israel would leave half of the Jews still in Israel as they came from across the globe and not from Europe. For a real treat, one only need accompany me to morning services at my small and plain synagogue with some of the nicest people and you would see a congregation made up of many varying origins and a number of distinctly different accents.

 

The accusation about Israeli human rights abuses are patently false and most of those making the claims know this but simply do not care that they are peddling lies. They hate Israel because of numerous reasons but most will eventually trace back to anti-Semitism. There are also those who hate Israel on political motivations as they despise capitalism and the fact that Israel is a successful capitalist nation. What they refuse to recognize is that Israel has many social services and safety net programs which assist those with many various problems and needs. Further, at least from our perspective and what we have witnessed and also performed ourselves is the generous giving to those in need by the people. In our not so small little town, our downtown neighborhood almost seems to be a community to itself, there are some who are homeless and they are cared for by the rest of the community who give them a few shekels whenever they pass one another. Many of the food vendors and small mom and pop grocery stores will give them some food with each place caring for their own small group. This is above and beyond any social programs and the charity performed by the Synagogues where people put into the charity box, Tzedakah Box, when attending services. These are the means by which we take care that all are not going hungry and are cared for as best as we are able.

Then there has been the more recent but repeated accusation that Israel uses deadly force against unarmed peaceful protesters. The slings used by Arab rioters are not the playthings many American kids used back in the middle of last century but more along the line of what David used to fell Goliath. These are deadly weapons and have been a staple in wars in the Middle East over the centuries. Further, peaceful demonstrators do not use balloons and kites to propel incendiary devices over a border in efforts to burn down fields, towns, forests, wilderness preserves and any or everything they can hopefully set ablaze. Peaceful demonstrators do not attack border fences with machetes, wire cutters and other devices and such attacks on the border fences are often accompanied by others with rifles. Peaceful demonstrators do not send large tractor tires soaked in petroleum and set alight at the border. What the news coverage of the Gaza rioting did not show was what was occurring between the photographers and the border while they took pictures of families picnicking or youths playing soccer while behind them a war was raging. The reality is that Israel has done more to protect human rights even of her enemies and gone beyond what any other government would consider in protecting civilians even when fighting a war such as has occurred against Hamas in Gaza and Hezballah in Lebanon and even back a decade against the terror forces of the Palestinian Authority. Israel has sent e-mails, made phone calls, dropped leaflets and taken other steps considered to be so counterproductive as to be insane simply to warn Palestinian Arabs where the Israelis will strike next just to prevent civilian casualties. This has placed the IDF often in grave danger as ambushes are set and traps placed in homes all in efforts to kill the soldiers after the tip off where they would be operating. We have covered this often before and in the following places have included testimonies from officers who have monitored IDF actions and other revelations of the lies and distortions leveled against Israel. Whenever an objective study has been conducted into how nations rate when it comes to human rights, Israel is rated as one of the leaders in protecting human rights. The IDF has been said to go to such lengths to protect the innocent that other Western powers have complained that Israel is setting a standard which they find impossible to meet and are not even going to attempt to emulate. The real problem which places the Palestinian Arabs into such presumed calamitous conditions had nothing to do with Israel and everything to so with their own leadership. But it is so much easier and accepted to blame Israel, the Jewish State and the Jew amongst nations than to face the reality that the Palestinian Arab leadership is their people’s worst enemy and responsible for their plight.

A Question to Balance Tradition and Progressivism

 

Currently the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) activists are pressing for what they refer to as equal basic rights to establish their definition of what constitutes a normative family. As part of this drive, they are demanding they be granted equality in adoptions as well as to employ a surrogate mother for having their child through artificial insemination. This raises a question how can such be normative if it requires artificial insemination. But before we reach any conclusive discussion of this, we require having a discussion of how we have reached this point. This is where things will become very problematic and complicated. If we go back far enough we find that historically this was not even a problem. In the ages of the Greek and Roman civilizations homosexuality was fully acceptable. Back in these societies, things were quite different. This becomes obvious in the statement; we have our young boys as our lovers and our wives for children. This arrangement took care of any questions or problems as to how men would have families as well as the acceptance of homosexual relations even to the point of what today would be called pedophilia. Moving a couple of thousand years to the pre sexual revolution world of the first half of the twentieth century, homosexuality existed but was kept in the closet, as became the expression. Right after this period came the insistence that homosexuality be permitted to have equal rights to be part of the public as heterosexual relationships.

 

The first demand was that the stigma of homosexual relations being considered sinful under the existing Judeo-Christian ethics be altered. The idea was that homosexual couples be permitted to practice their relation openly in public. This idea took a fair amount of time before it became largely acceptable and same-sex couples were accepted to hold hands and even kiss in public without people being shocked or acting adversely. This was presumed to be the entirety of the demands by the LGBTQ community, but that was not true. The next demand became that the LGBTQ community be permitted equal treatment with heterosexual couples, a form of civil unions which had the same rights. This led to the concept of allowing a legal union which would be treated equally to marriage but not having the same name. This gave the LGBTQ couples equal rights such as visiting rights when their mate was in hospital, for insurance within company provided insurance, inheritance rights and so forth. Finally, the LGBTQ community was seen to have attained their final goal of equal rights and treatment. But this was insufficient for the more extreme in the LGBTQ community as they now demanded that marriage be redefined such that it would no longer be between a man and a woman but must include alternative couples. From this, we found that no matter how many concessions were given to the demands of the activists of the LGBTQ community, they always demanded more. This has, step by step, led us to this current demand; but now we have realized that these activists, almost exclusively coming from people on the far left of politics, were not after equal rights and not even actually after superior rights, they have another agenda, and that is where the discussion must be placed.

 

The agenda which has become revealed is that these activists actually wish to destroy the underpinnings of the Judeo-Christian ethos as the basis for society. They wish to redefine society as a whole. Their desire is to alter Western society until nothing of its underpinnings and traditions remain. Their desire is to make any behavior acceptable with no restrictions upon human desires or behavior. The most ardent and extreme of these activists, different pockets, have demanded that pedophilia between consenting couples be accepted, multiple family units where they become group marriages and numerous other such demands have been put forth with likely even more to come in the future. They wish to make the Bible simply an oddity from history which will have even less relevance in their desired society than Aesop’s fables. This minority is demanding that the majority relent on every demand and they have been joined through intersectionality by other leftist groups. Proof that their target is only Western society is that while they have demanded to hold Gay Pride Parades in Rome, Jerusalem and almost every other major Western city, we have yet to see a demand to hold Gay Pride Parades in Beijing, Damascus, Cairo, Tehran, Riyadh, Qom, Mecca or Medina. They have not demanded to hold Gay Pride Parades anywhere outside the Western world. Why is this if their target is general, world-wide acceptance. That is not their target; the destruction of the Western world is their target.

 

Many here accepted their demand for civil unions and we know many who even went so far as to accept same-sex marriage. That was as far as most whom we know went willingly and everything since then has seen an ever-growing pushback. People have realized that this minority of a minority have gone from requesting acceptance to demanding superiority and to control all sections of our society. They have demanded that all references to sexuality be erased from society and they started pushing for this in public education. This has had what we fear was the desired result where many more youths are growing up confused about what is their sexuality. Their demands have had ramifications of which some are rather severe such as at the University of Minnesota where they are considering making any professor or staffer referring to any student by anything other than his or her “preferred” pronouns, could become a fireable or expulsion-worthy offense. Imagine the predicament this places on the professors and staffers when another new right is one is permitted to choose their preferred gender by how they feel each morning. Actually, this right may permit one to choose a different preferred gender second-by-second making it imperative upon the professors and staffers to literally ask each student moment to moment how they feel and by which gender, if any, they wish to be referred to at that instance. This would leave any disliked professor or staffer easily targeted to destroy their careers by simply presenting oneself as an offended student who was mis-gendered. Imagine a society where referring to anyone by the wrong gender becomes a criminal offence or considered so offensive that it opens one to a lawsuit. Such a society could only lead to people refusing to communicate with one another unless they are a member of our own social circle as it would be far too risky to speak to strangers. Such a society would make retail sales a dangerous profession where the only way they could greet a customer would not be by he or she but instead use ‘ze’ as the gender neutral pronoun. This would still be problematic for anyone who strongly identified with any standard pronoun such as he or she. They could simply use you, but that is considered very impersonal and was taught that such was to be avoided.

 

Inclusive Bathrooms Boys Girls and Genderless

 

This is the point which we have been pressured to and reaching this point could be the critical point where we either fight back and impose some normalcy back into our societies or just simply lie down and surrender. One can only wonder what ever happened to the rule of the majority. Thanks to the courts and soft-willed politicians, our society has been slowly but ever so surely been deconstructed by a small but loud and active minority. We will watch this latest threat for a superior equality for this minority being pressed against the politicians and should that fail they will most certainly press their demands through the courts. This is simply another misuse of the laudable concept of human rights, but this is not about rights as much as it is about forcing the political agenda of the few on the many. This is a directed attack upon our social fiber and accepted morals by those who would like to change society into a free-for-all where anything is permitted and there exist no boundaries. We need to choose what kind of civilization within which we wish to reside. What is being pushed can barely be referred to as a civilization as any civilization has those things which are accepted and those which are prohibited. What is being pushed is simply a wall-to-wall orgy of anything one feels like at any moment as far as activity, their identity, gender and virtually anything one can dream up. People would be permitted to use any bathroom be it the one for men or women or the either or neither gender bathroom, showers at the gym, or any other situation where gender once was a defined reality. Societies cannot function without certain agreed upon norms but this is exactly what is attempting to be removed from our civilization, all norms and definitions are being erased or blurred to the point of being completely expunged. Time is now to decide how, where and with what rules we wish to live our lives, raise our children and what we wish to pass forward. We can choose to take a stand or be found by history to be where rules died and the West came to ruin. It is our choice and we can decide each for their nation and its civilization within which it desires to be associated.
