Many critics of Israel and news agencies from around the world love to use the description that Israeli use of the IDF is disproportionate force because Hamas does not possess equivalent equipment such as jet fighters, attack helicopters, tanks, armored personnel carriers and such. Of course there was no problem from these same sources when the United States and their allies used stealth fighters, stealth bombers, B-52 bombers, Apache Longbow Attack Helicopters, Abrams Main Battle Tanks, F-15, F-16, and a full arsenal of the most advanced weapons systems including special munitions, guided missiles, aim by sight chain guns which are aimed by the pilot simply looking at the target and pulling the trigger as well as satellites and drones of numerous varieties against the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Iraq without a single accusation of using disproportionate force. But Israel ran into the most absurd suggestion from the United Nations High Commissioner of Human Rights Navi Pillay who citing Israel’s refusal to share its Iron Dome ballistic missile defense shield with the “governing authority” of Gaza, which is the universally recognized terrorist organization Hamas. She stated concerning the Iron Dome anti-missile system which has spared Israelis the devastation from Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the other terror groups’ rockets fired into civilian areas of Israel decrying that, “No such protection has been provided to Gazans against the shelling.” Perhaps next Ms. Pillay will want Israel to provide Hamas, Islamic Jihad et al with Merkava tanks and the United States to provide them with F-15s, F-16s and perhaps F-35 Stealth Fighters when they roll off the production lines, possibly before they supply Israel.

The stressing importance for providing the people of Gaza with humanitarian aid including food and medical supplies as has been reported in virtually every news coverage and commentary is a ruse and dishonest reporting. Those relaying the blood libel that Israel has prevented such aid from entering Gaza are relaying a complete falsehood. All but two or three days during the entire fifty days of the conflict with Hamas, Islamic Jihad and their allies in Gaza the Israelis continued delivering tens upon tens of tractor-trailers full of tons of such supplies. The few missed deliveries were sent the ensuing day as soon as the terrorist forces in Gaza lifted their mortar fire directed at the crossing point with the intent of causing the deliveries not to enter for propaganda reasons. Those days also correspond to reports of the lack of supplies due to Israel preventing their delivery, something Hamas and friends were sure to emphasize in their press releases for those days. Fortunately, there have been some journalists whose integrity and sufficient outrage and indignance who have spoken about the offenses perpetrated by Hamas to control and edit their releases and limiting their access in order to restrict any negative reporting, especially reports that would have further proven and detailed their use of human shields and firing their rockets from within schools, civilian neighborhoods, mosques and other supposedly protected sites. These reporters will likely face similar restrictions against reporting the full extents to which they were intimidated and otherwise coerced and kept from reporting the truths they uncovered by their editors and higher-ups who will want to protect their news reporters access to Gaza in the future. The one thing that needs to be at the base of everyone’s thinking when it comes to the Palestinians, be they the Palestinian Authority (PA), Hamas, Islamic Jihad or even ISIS is that these groups all practice some form of fascism, be it political nationalist fascism such as the PA or theocratic jihadist fascism such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad and ISIS, and they use similar tactics including control of the media, deception and projection onto others those same tactics of which they are guilty.

Back to Israeli supposed use of disproportionate force. The truth is that Israel used the opposite of disproportionate force. Israel could unleash hell on earth on Gaza and eradicate Hamas and Islamic Jihad no matter how deep into their infernal tunnel systems they tried to hide. Israel used such munitions in order to take out three top commanders who were deep in the tunnels underneath a civilian house. Hamas even made a point of pointing out the weight of the munition dropped on their commanders and classified it as a bunker busting bomb. They were correct and be assured that Israel either already possesses or can readily produce more of such munitions should the need warrant such. Israel has all the capabilities of any first rate technologically advanced nations. Israel is one of the leaders in the design and production of drones. The Iron Dome is just one of a number of high tech weapons systems used by Israel to defend their people and military equipment. Many of the Israeli systems are top secret but they have one which is just as remarkable as the Iron Dome that is not secret. The Israelis have a defensive system which when mounted on tanks, other armored vehicles, tanks or anything else even stationary objects is capable of intercepting and neutralizing even an RPG round fired from relatively close range. So, the real accusation which should be made against Israel is that she is using so little force compared to what the IDF is capable of unleashing that they could end the war with Hamas but the end result to the people of Gaza would be harmed beyond reason which is exactly why Israel does not use all at her disposal. Israel actually takes precautions and as much restraint as possible while still being able to accomplish the necessary tasks required to keep her people safe.

Despite the basic understanding that the political leadership is attempting to walk a fine line between unleashing the full force the IDF is capable of unleashing and the complete surrender to Israel’s enemies at the hands of the indignant morality which finds Jews fighting and defending themselves, especially with such professional competence, to be repugnant and against their concepts and perceptions of what Jews are presumable permitted by those who permitted them to reside within their borders. Many have such indignation that now Jews have their own borders and are willing and fully capable of defending them that they feel they must destroy those borders by any means or at least so all that is politically possible to make it as difficult as possible to prevent Israel being permitted to fully defend them. There are those who desire for Israel to hold the Western powers to their word through the treaties and conventions established at the end of World War I, especially the British who guaranteed in an agreement known as the Churchill White Papers that in exchange for the lands east of the Jordan River in order to establish a land for the Palestinian Arabs which is now known as Jordan, they gave their guarantees that the lands west of the Jordan River as inviolate into perpetuity. Well, once again Israelis and Jews can see the trustworthiness of a British promise. Eventually this round and round the mulberry bush will come to a final end and one side will prevail, Israel or her enemies, the Arab and Muslim world. This war started in the year 629 at the Battle of Khaybar where Mohammad commanded his Muslim marauders slaughtered the tribe of Jews known as the Banu Nadir with whom a treaty was theoretically in force. It is this battle on which the concept of a Hudna was born which allowed Muslim forces to enter into a treaty until they gained sufficient strength to fight from a more favorable position and then break that treaty by attacking their enemies. In theory the other party to the treaty or hudna was to be held to the terms of the treaty in order to protect the forces of Islam who were merely waiting until the situation was in their favor before launching their assault and breaking the same treaty completely unannounced, thus also gaining the advantage of surprise in their favor. This time the result will be different than the slaughter of Khaybar. Israel will simply gain control over the lands promised her by treaty and do so with as little force as required. Israel had become experts at using minimal force with maximum restraint in order to cause as few innocent casualties as humanly possible. Any doubt can research the actual ratio of civilians to combatants of any Israeli confrontation with the Arabs or Palestinians with the ratio of any other military in a modern war, especially any contest where a modern military was facing an enemy utilizing asymmetric warfare. The best commentary was delivered by retired British Colonel Richard Kemp in his Oct. 16, 2009, address to the United Nations Human Rights Commission which states the truth without any bias or predisposition reporting what he observed reviewing Israeli actions during their war with Hamas.

Israel Pleas for the World to Assist Gazan People

Israeli Human Rights Groups and Lawyers have requested for the world to assist in making Gazans safe from the arbitrary executions at the hands of their Hamas overlords. Since Hamas breaking of the last cease fire, the enforcers of Hamas have begun a reign of terror executing over twenty Gazan citizens in efforts to punish the general Gaza population for their having the audacity to actually speak harshly and critically of their Hamas betters. These executions have mostly been carried out summarily without any semblance of a trial or even a shred of justice. Hamas enforcers have also carried out these executions in the public square and others outside Mosques as worshippers were leaving after evening prayers guaranteeing they would have the most direct and effective influence to cower the Gazan people and to serve as a warning against speaking their minds if their thoughts might not be appreciated by the men with all the guns. These executions have all the markings of a purge intended to suppress freedom of thought and reinforcing that the terrorists are their masters and their betters who demand respect and obedience. These murders are further proof that Gaza is a vassal state with the reigning elite being the terror masters of Hamas and Islamic Jihad who hold an iron grip over the population and is holding them hostage to serve their needs, especially as human shields and to provide sufficient cannon fodder who are sent into the jaws of the conflict in order to provide for the necessary civilian fatalities for the terrorist propaganda war against Israel.

The silence from the Europeans, United States, United Nations and the rest of the world which has exhibited a great willingness to sound the alarms and ring the bells which claim Israeli misdeeds and the suffering of the Gazan people resulting from the Israeli attacks has been absolutely deafening. Why then is there no equal condemnation and calls to actions to save these same Gazan people when their executioners are Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the other terrorists who rule by force in Gaza. Is the reality that Israel is condemned because Israel does not plan terrorist attacks to punish those who denounce her while Hamas, Islamic Jihad and their brothers in the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS will extend their terrorist activities to inflict punishment on those who have the nerve and audacity to call out the terrorist evils. Is it that reporters in Gaza face such intimidation and threats that many refuse to speak of their experiences and the terror threats simply out of fear that they may meet the same ends as Daniel Pearle and recently James Foley while Israel protects the freedom of the press sometimes appearing to apply such protection even more stringently to those in the media who are most critical as if to prove exactly how precious that freedom of the press stands in Israel. Where are those intrepid reporters who decry every innocent Gazan who dies while serving the terrorists as a shield and a potential innocent victim of the war to be paraded before the media repeatedly when those same innocent Gazans are being slaughtered under the false pretext that they assisted the Israelis against Hamas and Islamic Jihad? If these executed Gazans were even remotely guilty of anything, it was likely heeding an Israeli warning and vacated an area about to be attacked in contradiction to the Hamas or Islamic Jihad insistence that they and their families remain in the targeted area to serve as shields or potentially victims despite having been given ample warnings to move to safety. Perhaps the father remained but allowed his wife and children to move to safety and on top of that insult to the authority of the terrorists he also had the audacity to manage not to be killed as they hoped so of course his life must be used as an object lesson to keep the rest of the Gazan people properly fearful of their terrorist overlords and their capricious autocratic rule. Israel has sounded the alarm of another instance of senseless slaughter of the Gazan population, this time by their own government and its enforcers and disciplinarian inquisitors. Israel has challenged the United States directly sending a complaint through their Ambassador, Dan Shapiro.

Even the left-wing NGO B’Tselem issued a complaint over Hamas summary murder of the twenty plus Gazan victims without their receiving a trial. The Legal Forum of Israel has written a letter which they delivered to Ambassador Shapiro stating, “While we understand that these incidents are not dependent on the United States, the United States influence over members of Hamas, directly and indirectly, can be significant. We request that your government act to put an end to the wave of executions in Gaza. These are cases of arbitrary killings, incomprehensible attacks on human dignity and a terrible violation of human and civil rights. It is now clear that the residents of Gaza are living under a terrorist regime, and the world is not lifting a finger to stop the atrocities. I hope that your government, which acts for human rights and freedom, will see it fit to intervene on behalf of the innocent residents who are paying the price of living under this murderous terrorist regime.” The ball is in the court of the United States and the world, the same world which has been quick to decry any perceived suspicion of Israeli misdeeds. Now we will witness if their indignation extends to the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror rulers of Gaza.

Meanwhile, since the writing of this article and just before posting news reports, Hamas has rounded up at least another one-hundred-fifty more Gazans who presumably committed the crime of collaborating with the Israelis. One of the iron clad proofs of guilt is having a cell phone with an Israeli SIM cards which are most prevalent even in Gaza and probably found in many Hamas members’ phones as well. Until recently virtually all cellphones had an Orange SIM card as that was the service operating in Gaza until the Israelis left Gaza in August of 2005 and many Gazans have simply kept their phones.

How Long Could You Tolerate the Rockets Raining?

Much of southern Israel has been experiencing hardships which are beyond the ability of most of us who have never seen a battlefield to imagine and what those of us who have experienced such things spend their life trying to forget. For four days which included the Sabbath of this past weekend over two-hundred rockets and mortars were fired out of Gaza into the neighborhoods, schools, shopping centers, hospitals, parks, and anywhere else you can imagine as they are aimed towards their towns and farms and launched to strike and explode with random accuracy. It is this randomness that causes additional confusion and dread as whole areas end up receiving the “Code Red” alarm warning of incoming rockets or mortars giving the citizens anywhere from 15 seconds to almost one minute to find safe cover. Most houses have been equipped with a “safe room” which is supposed to be able to absorb shrapnel and even possibly a direct hit, though some of the new rockets recently added have significantly larger explosive payloads which may surpass their capability. Neighborhoods, schools, shopping centers, and other public areas have reinforced cement structures resembling a maze which provide protection from shrapnel. Schools were cancelled for a number of days and it was not until the third ceasefire was announced that the number of rocket barrages finally was reduced. Ceasefire, for your information, means that no more than ten rockets or mortars will be fired per day and the weekly total will most likely remain below twenty-five. So, how long could you live under these conditions?

But instead, let us assume you live around Jerusalem or in Judea or Samaria or in the central Galilee near one of the areas containing a large Arab neighborhood. In these areas the projectiles are somewhat less random as they are released from close range. These projectiles are rocks which are thrown at cars with Israeli license plates identifying them as from Jewish areas. These rocks are thrown from other cars or in ambush situations where they use a lead car which stops and blocks the road while the rock throwers attack from all sides. The definition of rock in this case weighs from a half pound to as much as one can be heave out the window while in a passing car where not much distance is necessary. These rocks are chosen with attention to their having sharp sides and projections which make them more likely to smash through the windshield and severely injure or kill the driver or passenger it may strike. Many Israelis have ended up in the hospital after such attacks and some have been murdered in this manner including a father and his infant son, Asher and Yonatan Palmer. Add to these situations the occurrence of stabbings or other attack and the terror attacks across the Egyptian border or in small towns such as Itamar where much of the Fogel family was slaughtered in their sleep by two teenage Arabs who boasted in court of their pride in this accomplishment.

Fortunately for most Israelis, those subjected to such attacks make up a minority of the total population. Be that as it may, virtually every family and neighborhood has their stories of close calls or people they know well lost to the continuous terrorism. The near constant drumbeat of terrorism and attacks on the people of Israel from their Palestinian neighbors have become common enough that outside of the immediate area affected by any attack it does not clear the level to be newsworthy. Even in Israel many live their lives and are seldom forced to admit to the realities of the threat posed by terrorism. Despite this, would such a situation exist anywhere else in the world it would not only be a national calamity and be discussed daily in the halls of power throughout the world and at the United Nations and other world bodies resulting in the implementing of a mission to end such an intolerable situation. We hear of almost every terror attack out of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and even Iran. We hear and follow up on the terror attacks which have hit India.

About the only other place where such violence happens on a regular basis and is close to equally ignored is in Mexico. And here is a dirty little secret about some of the violence in Mexico; those committing these terroristic acts in Mexico are being trained by Hamas and Hezballah who have traded training and arms for the opportunity to access to the smuggling routes into the United States. And they have been using these routes for going on at least a decade. So, let me ask as I did in the title as it may soon be asked in many cities within the United States, “How long could you tolerate rockets raining down?” And if not rockets, then how many windshield smashing rocks or families being murdered in their sleep and all the other terrorist acts currently perpetrated on Israelis which could very well be coming here. The good people of the United States need to remember one very critical fact, Israel is only the Little Satan, you live in the Big Satan. Now, who do you think they will destroy first, the Big Satan or the Little Satan? Here is a little more for you to think over, which country is more likely to come to the aid of the other should the terrorists attempt to destroy the country, Israel aiding the United States or the United States aiding Israel. Truth is it would work in both directions, but if you are able to stun the United States, Israel is in deep trouble but if you stun Israel, the United States would be almost unaffected. If I could execute a knockout punch against either the United States or Israel and then have to survive the retaliation from the remaining country, which country do you think would get crippled and which one left able to attack. Kind of makes your stomach churn when you realize that the terrorists are more likely to try to destroy the United States first as that would leave Israel vulnerable while the other way does not work as well for the terrorist powers. And they really are not illogical even if they are fanatical and reason in a different manner than many in the West are able to understand.
