The World Proves Futile

Israeli Prime Minister along with IDF spokespeople released a summation of IDF activities working within Lebanon, Syria and Iraq in order to destroy the upgrading of Hezballah rockets into guided missiles. Included in the release was information tracing the history from 2016 to the present. The reason for the release of this information again after it had been discussed is the steps had progressed requiring different and more difficult operations to continually destroy these elements. It is frightening enough knowing that Hezballah has within their one-hundred-fifty-thousand plus missile arsenal numerous rockets which can strike anywhere in Israel, even including Eilat at the southern tip of Israel. All too often, these targets have to be struck precisely and using the most appropriate warhead in order to minimize risks of collateral damage. The Israeli attempts to control this threat have sufficed up to now but as the Iranians have ramped up their efforts to provide targeting modules for the Hezballah rockets installing the systems over an area which includes Iraq, Syria and Lebanon making Israeli air strikes ever more dangerous, Israel has turned to the international community. What could possibly go wrong?

Hezbollah’s Secret Sites for Conversion of Inaccurate Rockets into Precision Guided Missiles

Well, let us discuss the ugly realities Israel is about to experience yet again. The one which stands out more than all the others is the complete dead silence this report and its media presentation will cause. Most Western media outlets might mention the Israeli event placing those comments buried in Section A or really bury it in Section F while giving the single mention a mere paragraph taking up perhaps three or four lines filling in between the advertisements. I believe we are all pretty certain that the reaction from President Trump will be abrupt and a repeat of the message he has sent all along implying that Israel must step up to the plate and knock one out of the park. Thus far, Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, who is also the Defense Minister, has pretty much whiffed at the previous hints. Perhaps Bibi was not even giving the task at hand the correct attentions it deserves. These hints have begun to take center stage as the next elections get ever closer, just a little more than a month away, which is as it should be occurring. The hints also have been anything but subtle often shaking windows and rattling doors.

The hints have included moving the American Embassy to Jerusalem while recognizing Jerusalem to start the string of hints. Also, President Trump rushed the delivery of F-35 JSF stealth aircraft. Then, President Trump pulled the American financing of UNRWA as he stated that UNRWA was hindering peace and furthering the unrest while educating the children for war. Embracing Israel solving her own problems and doing so quickly as their cover is still in the White House, would be the logical way to go. There have been rumors about a terse phone conversation where President Trump told Prime Minister Netanyahu that Israel had received three-billion-dollars in military aid and with that assistance, Netanyahu should look to himself and the IDF to put in place and enforce a grand measure of peace and stability ending the corrupt nepotism thus freeing the people and their economy who are currently suffering from the oppressions of the Palestinian Authority and its graft machine. But Bibi never took these hints, or that is what one would assume as there has been no action to show for these hints. But President Trump went further by closing the PLO offices in Washington D.C. and most recently President Trump ordered Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to strike all references on maps, records, articles, the Web etc. to the Palestinian Authority as well as Palestine references. This has all but muted Mahmoud Abbas but he remains boisterous as he has ever been. We honestly believe that President Trump would be glad should Israel simply decapitate the Palestinian Authority and provide the remaining Arabs the choice of relocating after receiving a buyout of their home and business plus a relocation fund usable at their new destination where they will call it home and start over. Those who choose to remain to live in Israel will be watched carefully. Further, those who remain will be instructed that they will be expected to live up to the Noahic Code, the Seven Laws of Noah. Lastly, those remaining will be held accountable for the actions of family members and should any member of a family engage in acts of terrorism, the entire family will be exiled and forbidden from ever returning to Israel.

President Trump is fully aware that Israel has the unarguable right to all the lands west of the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. He knows all of the promises made, including the Americans after their signing the Anglo-American Treaty of 1924, binding the United States as another enforcement for the Mandates. This binds the United States to enforcing the original Mandates as agreed upon by the Allies after World War I and still enforceable by the United Nations under Article 80 of the Charter. But, in reality, Israel will end up enforcing her rights to these lands and not give them up to any other entity. Israel does not need to cater to a people invented in Moscow in order to rid the world of the Jew, in this case an entire Jewish nation. Many around the world are aware that should Israel fall as a failed state, be it destroyed in a grand explosion from terrorism, financially failing due to effective BDS support around the world, or Israel could fall victim to natural disasters as we sit atop the place where three fault lines converge, then the Jews will almost disappear as their numbers in mass assimilate. Sure there will be small enclaves of religious Jews, but the Jews will resemble the Mennonites, small groups centered around a Rabbi teaching them or a family business providing for their secular needs while strength with prayers hoping for the Messiach to come and actually bring the final Redemption; we hope this will happen while Jews continue to exist in worthwhile numbers and even better, while we are alive and cognizant of those around us.

There is no doubt that anti-Semitism is becoming mainstream and accepted in certain circles within Europe. There are claims that anti-Semitism has always been at these levels in the hearts and minds of the people. We cannot verify or argue that point, we just know that anti-Semitic acts have become regular events in too many places around the world. We discussed some about this and had two very revealing videos included in our article Palestinian-EU War on Israel which spells out the truth and reality which is at the heart of the Arab World. Israel has had strong support from the United States and the fact that President Obama could not do the level of harm he intended to inflict upon Israel is because the American people would not stand for such acts. That appears to be changing, more so in the cities and metropolitan regions than in the rural climates. The colleges and Universities are another problematic area when it comes to Israel with numerous Islamic tied groups working in concert to persuade entire student bodies that Israel is evil. They tell how according to the laws of Allah; the Jews are the worst kind of people as they act and perform in a foreign way which is fully contested and defeated by Islam. I am a proud Jew who takes the condemnation by Arab leadership calling for my death and the death of my country, Israel as proof that we Jews have our act together and are doing what Hashem desires, or at the very least, we are far from Allah and closer to Hashem.

The difficulty is we and many around us can see the day approaching when the United States simply cuts all ties with Israel. The Democrat Party leading politicians running to become the Democrat candidate for President in 2020 all with the possible exception of Joseph Biden are pro BDS and anti-Israel through and through. Should any Democrat become President it will place the number of days Israel can expect a friend in America, and that day will depict a very small number. We just wish that Israel would be more obvious that they have prepared to become self-sufficient in all things, specifically aircraft to replace the fighters now in service when the United States has decided that Israel is a liability and there are more Muslims than Jews in the world. Well, there actually are just a few more followers of Islam as there are approximately two-billion Muslims while Jews only count for eighteen-million, the Jews number less than one-percent compared with Islam. It is the facts of the small number of Jews which makes having a homeland with highly defensible borders a necessity. That is why the Arab forces are driving at denying Israel having her promised border along the Jordan River and the valley it has cut. We have listed the reasons legally why the Jordan River is our eastern border, but in this new age world, rules do not seem to matter unless you like them, and as Jews we seldom get to define the playing field as even the rules of warfare are altered when one side is the Jewish State.

Initial Terror Reports Were Frightening

Residing in the north of Israel places one thus far outside the ranges of the rockets from Hamas. Living close to the coast makes us less prone to attacks by the Arabs under the Palestinian Authority. So, we should feel safe and outside any real threat. That feeling was shattered this last few days. The initial reports were not all that informative beyond that Iranian forces, the IRGC, had launched a terror attack against northern Israel. There was no specification stating where along the north this attack was launched. The good news was that it had been intercepted by the IDF and the launching point of the drones eradicated. Still, hearing that Iron Dome units had been placed in the north as preparation for this anticipated assault is fine, but were we the target or somewhere else? Well, as with all things, time will tell. Still, hearing about such a threat which had some unthinkable result as several drones laden with explosives was the one clear item we heard the morning after the Sabbath. It was not until several hours later, as everything was slowly coming back into full operation after the Sabbath that we heard that the attack came well east of our town. There is nothing like reports of terror attacks potentially being in one’s area to bring home that everywhere in Israel is within any number of Arab forces sworn to our destruction and the death of as many Israelis as possible. Sobering would be a definitive understatement.

One thing many people around the world are often unaware is exactly how small Israel actually is. People we have met believe that Israel is around the size of the average European country while some actually believe that Israel is close to half the size of the United States. The look of disbelief on these people’s faces when they are informed that Israel is approximately the size of New Jersey with a much narrower midsection is priceless. This means that much of Israel is within strike distances from outside her entire perimeter. Hamas can reach over two-thirds of Israel from their Gaza location which is beyond the reach of the IDF without necessitating a full invasion by soldiers as Israel refuses to utilize the tactics used by the United States, Russia and most of the rest of the world where air-power is used to eviscerate any target as well as much of the surrounding region. Israel uses ground forces when it becomes necessary to destroy the Hamas forces, rockets, mortars and other offensive operations and operators. The Palestinian Authority has taken a completely different route to increase their terrorist capabilities. Rather than expend the effort, time and their security forces, they instead pay any terrorist and their family a hefty salary for life for every Israeli they murder. This investment has led to knifing attacks, shootings, car rammings and other forms of attacks which are launched in shopping centers, at bus stops or any other location where a group of people make for ample targets. Even the sole individual is vulnerable as even a single Israeli murdered means that your family will live well into the future. But the real threats come from, you guessed it, the north. That threat is traceable directly back to Iran and takes the form of Hezballah and the IRGC which are spread across southern Lebanon and all across Syria.

Hezballah and the IRGC pose such a special threat that they deserve additional comment. Where Hamas is limited to Israel south of Haifa, Hezballah and the IRGC have missiles and rockets which are capable of reaching all of Israel and beyond (see map below). Additionally, these two militaries, and they are both legitimate military terror armies, are backed by Iran and everything they have is stationed from the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. This includes ballistic missiles and weapons loaded with anything from nerve agents, biological agents, chemical agents and, once they produce them, assuming they have not already, nuclear warheads. Further, Iran could use any exchange, such as the events over the past weekend, as an excuse for declaring any strike they launch against Israel was in response to any Israeli response to terror assault whether they be rockets launched from neighboring countries, ambushes along their borders, drone attacks such as the recent ones or any interception of terror forces across these borders. Iran has often rattled her sabers after Israeli forces have intercepted across border attacks or struck rocket and artillery platforms used to strike into Israel often launching air to surface missiles from within Israeli airspace across into Syria and Lebanon as necessary. These two armies, IRGC and Hezballah, directly take their orders from Iran and the majority of their attacks are ordered from Tehran. These are just some of the threats which Israel faces, but things will become worse in the not too distant future unless the world awakens to the threats being faced by Western civilization.

The main step away from Israel which has infected too much of Europe will take root and infect the United States. Anti-Semitism has been increasing at rates formerly believed impossible over the last decade and it promises to accelerate and soon becoming beyond political will to resist the growing hatred. One need simply look at the candidates seeking the Democrat Party candidacy for President in the 2020 elections. Even Joseph Biden was forced to alter his expressing support for Israel making that a minor backside issue in his campaign. The remainder sound more like Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib than they do the Democrat Party of our youth. Bernie Sanders holds Israel in the deepest of contempt while defending himself from claims of anti-Semitism claiming he is Jewish and thus cannot be an anti-Semite while his history is replete with statements forsaking anything to do with his birth religion. This is far from unusual for far-left Jews of Western civilization as they defend their anti-Israel positions with the claim that they are Jews while declaring their atheist beliefs forsaking the tenets of Judaism. Their Judaism is nothing other than a shield they wield to deflect criticism of their positions against Israel and Zionism while ignoring every other nationalist movement and government on the globe. Should the Democrat Party continue their slide into anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism and anti-Israeli political positions, when they inevitably resume the handles of power, Israel will find herself cut loose of United States support. That should stand as a double warning, one to Americans and the other to those in power in Israel who will be required to address such an eventuality.

Between the terror scare the other morning and watching as the world continues to drift away from Israel, we are concerned as to whether Israeli leadership will make the necessary adaptions to military and political stances and dependencies such that Israel does not end up blindsided when the inevitable comes to pass. The recent Rashid Tlaib and Ilhan Omar fiasco where Israel exercised the right of any nation to prevent those who work for their destruction from entering their borders, as the United States did with an Israeli Knesset Minister Michael Ben-Ari, laid a spotlight upon exactly which politicians from both parties upon which they can trust. It also was eye-opening, and not exactly a pleasant one. Israel will be required to be the sole source for whatever may be her military weaponry and other systems as well as facing the potential that she will become the outcast of the entire world with perhaps a dozen exceptions at best. This might go so far as to include agricultural requirements for feeding all Israelis, Arab, European, Asian, from the Americas as well as Jews, Christians, Muslims and every other person residing within her borders not to mention virtually every other need or requirement for a healthy and content society. Between Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza, Hezballah and the IRGC in Syria and Lebanon all taking orders from Tehran and Iran also making threats against Israel (as well as the United States, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and others), the possibilities for a multi-front war with Israel facing rocket and missile attacks from the north and south, terrorist tunnels on both fronts if they have not all been detected, across border infiltrations, drone attacks at both fronts and possible military attacks complete with armor and air support from out of Lebanon and Syria plus potential assault and launchings out of the Sinai Peninsula, a hot bed of terrorist groups, Israel could face what will amount to an existential threat to her existence.

There is another item we used to hear when back living in the United States coming from people who otherwise supported Israel was that they never would stand for American forces to be used in defending Israel. Some who did not like Israel were somewhat more direct claiming that they would not stomach American boys and girls having their lives placed in jeopardy over a nation of Jews. Well, allow us to place these fears to rest, Israelis refuse outright and definitively do not desire for any troops from another nation to come and fight and possibly die fighting for Israel. We are totally aware that there is no faster means of losing what support Israel has with any nation than to have their young people returning in caskets because they were helping Israel defend herself. Should there be those, like Colonel Mickey Marcus who fought with the Israelis defeating largely the Arab attempt to destroy the nascent state of Israel in the 1848 War, who choose to put on an IDF uniform and fight under their own choice and not as a foreign soldier, that is an entirely different situation. Would we expect to hear pushback should any of these volunteers die, most certainly as we expect pushback over virtually any and every act taken by our government (should we ever elect a new one), military and even our relief efforts in natural disaster regions. Hey, we’re Israel, the Jew amongst the nation, we never expected anything different. Still, Israel will hopefully do whatever she is required to do to protect her people and defend her lands. Our wish is for the world to finally make good on the promises made after World War I and allow us our full borders as laid out in the Mandate System and presumably protected under Article 80 of the United Nations Charter and enforceable by the United States under the Anglo-American Treaty and by Britain, Italy, France, Russia and Japan as signatories of the San Remo Conference, the Treaty of Sèvres and numerous other agreement, treaties, accords and conferences all which referred to promises made under the auspices of the League of Nations and the Allied Powers from World War I. We do not require the world to love us, like us, approve of us or do much which would show us favor and acceptance, but we will eventually, preferably sooner rather than later, insist that promises made by the unanimous vote at the League of Nations be finally honored and once our borders have met these guidelines set out now approaching a century past, leave us in peace and we will share with the world our discoveries, new technologies, computing advances, medical cures and treatments, agricultural methods, clean water technology, communications technology, security and other software, advances in physics and virtually everything else all without attempting to be moralistic. Friendship with other nations will always be preferred, but respect has to be the minimum, and that minimum is one thing which Israel can demand as she is entitled to at least that modicum of respect, just as is every other nation.

Threat Striking Israel from All Sides and Beyond

Israel, and her people, are hoping to get through the rest of the summer and the fall without the necessity of a war on any front. Recent threats from Hezballah in the north in Lebanon and from Hamas in the south in Gaza are making that possibility looking less likely. With Israel also apparently frozen politically without an actual government, a war is the last thing Israelis need. They will be heading back to the polls again this September and the polls predict the same outcome with no party able to form a coalition. With our internal problems, the last thing we need is an external problem, but that is not within our control. So, what exactly do these threats contain?

Hezballah has made statements recently that Israel is preparing to start a war with Lebanon over Hezballah. This is the claim they have made before launching rockets or firing grenades at passing Israeli patrols along the border as well as kidnapping soldiers who are then more often than not executed. Still, Hezballah offers to return the soldiers captured if Israel surrenders her northern lands or releases every terrorist in our country club version of a prison or any of a number of impossibilities knowing that eventually Israel will come to take their soldiers back. The last time they kidnapped soldiers from a patrol vehicle, they killed several others and claimed to have two alive Israeli IDF soldiers. That, in the end, proved to be a lie and the only question was were they ever alive in Hezballah custody, and if they were, exactly when and how did they die. Those were questions for which we never got an answer, just more threats. Further, Hezballah is directly controlled by Iran. This explains why there are Hezballah troops fighting in Syria as well as Yemen and operating a series of terrorist training camps within the Tri-border region of South America. Hezballah has become a terrorist army and will likely expand their operations as required by the Iranian Supreme Leader. In addition, should Iran face any problems concerning their nuclear ambitions, terrorist activities or be facing a confrontation with United States military forces, or have severe troubles with President Trump; the one item they have promised is at the top of their list is having Hezballah attack Israel to draw the media attention away from Iran. This would present the mainstream media with a dilemma, do they report that President Trump is pressing Iran into an unnecessary war or do they blast Israel for responding and defending herself from Hezballah.

Then there is Hamas. Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar stated in a meet with Gazan residents, “I call on Benny Gantz to remember how the IDF failed in its conflict with residents of eastern Gaza during Operation Protective Edge, when he was Chief of Staff. During the next conflict with Israel, we will rain hundreds of rockets in a single barrage.” Sinwar was reacting to comments made by Gantz, coleader of the Blue-White Party who had promised, “If necessary, we’ll frustrate its leaders and crush the region. We’ll act on the ground as much as we want.” The problem is that Hamas is also under the influence of Iran though Hamas also will act on their own volition. Proof of that was made evident with Hamas or Islamic Jihad having fired a rocket from Gaza Friday evening. Initial reports place the launch on Hamas. The rocket was heading for Sderot where it was intercepted by an Iron Dome battery. Another instance of an under two-hundred-dollar Hamas rocket being destroyed with a fifty-thousand-dollar interceptor. Such need for protecting Israelis is worth every penny, but this is also an economic battle Israel cannot win. Eventually Israel will be required to remove all the threats from her borders as no nation on the planet lives with such threats coming from both their northern and southern border.

There is also an internal problem which has been identified as Israel has lost her shining image of unsurpassed military might and abilities and thus no longer is feared by the surrounding terrorist forces. This was made evident for over a year with the regular rioting along the Gaza border and the launching of incendiary devices carried into Israel on kites and balloons riding the winds. These devices burned down hundreds of acres of farms, nature reserves, forests and towns across southern Israel. The Israelis residing in the Gaza border region cannot be expected to continue to live with such threats. Children from this region show signs of mental problems caused by anxiety, fear and the realization of actual threats making their word unsafe. Children should not be required to check that there are shelters at both ends of their soccer field before starting their game. Every activity a child performs is done with knowledge of the closest shelter and responds to the Code Red alarms by running to the closest shelter knowing they have under fifteen seconds to reach safety. Would any nation be forced by the world to have their children be raised in such an atmosphere of threats, deaths and perils? The obvious answer is of course not. But the world and media reporting on any confrontation between Israel and her terrorist neighbors as being unfair simply because Israelis are kept safe while Hamas endangers their people. The difference comes from the prioritization of the two area’s governing bodies.

Gaza is ruled by a terror regime whose main goal is to destroy Israel by whatever means are available, even, sometimes directly, at the expense and safety of the Gazan people. Hamas runs a dictatorial governance with their leaders chosen from the ranks of the terror organization. They claim to have a separation between their terrorist (military) and their civil government yet their recent appointment of Yahya Sinwar took their terrorist leader and made him the political leader. This is not separation between the two as his appointment was a marriage of the two supposed wings as they placed their government in the hands of their former terror chief. Of course, those nations who provide Gaza with aid will continue to claim they are simply assisting the political wing of Hamas and not the terror wing. Even after building material has been provided by the European Union at least three times and nothing was rebuilt yet somehow all the material disappeared only to be found in the form of infiltration tunnels into Israel. But this will not prevent the European Union or some combination of European government providing building materials because Gaza has still not been rebuilt. They will never stop and wonder why Gaza has not been rebuilt because they are giving these provisions to a good source which is killing Jews, or at least try really hard to do so.

There is a claim that Israel has lost her ability to place fear and trepidation into her enemies. Some call it lacking the quality of intimidation. We prefer to call it poor decision making at the highest levels and a large portion of the General Staff not on the same page as the majority of Israelis. If everyone who has said that the next time Hamas starts firing rockets into Israel in quantities on a daily basis, the IDF need be sent in with orders to wipe the place clean. Some phrase it differently and claim that we need to treat Gaza as we did in Biblical times. We are not sure they fully understand that the Biblical army would kill every person, man woman and child, and wipe out their herds of sheep, cattle, goats, horses as well as their poultry and all other holdings only allowing their fruit trees and fields to survive. We do not dare even consider such and neither should the government. We prefer giving every Gazan a choice between one of three options, also derived sort of from Biblical times. They can choose to live under our rule following the Noahic Code and honoring our laws, they can leave and start again elsewhere and we will not chase them down (as was the custom when you defeated an army you chased down and killed the survivors making retreating to reconsolidate impossible), or they can decide to make war at which time the fist mentioned Biblical threat became an option. We know that the leaders of Hamas would have to be exiled if not held and tried in court, but if they will leave never to darken our doorstep again, that should be sufficient. They should be made to understand that should they return that they would be targeted for assassination and if members of their family would also come to harm, it was their fault for returning. What would be in such a deal of the Gazan people? They would have clean water, electricity, sewage treatment and so many other improvements and economically there would be no comparison. Gaza would become productive allowing for the rule of law to protect along with an actual economy. They would be able to elect their local governments and have semiautonomous self-rule while remaining under Israeli rule. There would be one item which might be considered unfair, but it is the one means of preventing further terrorism. Any person caught in an act of terrorism, planning terrorism, providing the implements for terrorism, their entire family would be expelled from Israel and banned from returning. The damage to the family is the one means of addressing terrorism before it happens. The Palestinian Authority pays their terrorists and their families making it economically incentivized. This is the opposite form of payback meant to prevent anyone even considering terrorist activities.

Hezballah posses a different problem as they also have become much of the government for Lebanon. If Hezballah were to demand the support of the Lebanese Army, Navy and Air Forces, these would probably be assigned Hezballah commanders, if such has not already occurred. This would provide them with a plethora of American and Russian equipment, air-power, helicopters, main battle tanks and various armaments they currently lack. For this reason, any war which involves Hezballah must be treated as a war with all of Lebanon and their military equipment should be targeted and as soon as it appears that Hezballah would be using these weapons, they must all be destroyed as quickly as Israel is able. Further, Israel need warn the IRGC and other Iranian units in Syria that their aiding Hezballah would prove very unhealthy. Whether or not Iran should be struck should it be found that they ordered Hezballah to wage war on Israel is such a tricky question that we will leave it up to the people paid to make such decisions. What has never made sense is why democracies, no matter the level of the threats they face, must wait until they have suffered an initial attack before acting. This and proportionality are the two most idiotic concepts applied to military actions, though they appear to be left more for Israel than anyone else. There is one other concept since World War II which actually is counterproductive simply because it is so wrongheaded. There is this concept amongst the developed nations, which just happen to be the same nations who fought in World War II directly, is that the world has realized what a waste warfare is and we live in a time of peaceful coexistence. We can tell you that this message was lost on the nations of the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). Just look around this region and see the conflicts which reach into every corner. Add to that the idea that one nation has been chosen to rule the entire world and the world is there for their taking. That nation is Iran and the Mullahs do intend to conquer the world little chunk by little chunk. They already took Iraq, almost have Yemen, have what is left of Syria, they own Lebanon and they are threatening Israel and Saudi Arabia along with the Gulf States and Kuwait. Iran also wants to take down the United States as they figure once the United States has been neutralized, think large EMP device over St Louis, then the world would be open for the taking. We unfortunately do not live in an era of peace, not yet.

That time could be near and it is all up to the developed world to take a risk and allow the most advanced forms of energy to be used across the globe and the wealth which would follow would unseat virtually every dictator and rid the world of uncountable problems. But that might harm the oil, coal, nuclear companies and put the eco-warriors out of business as energy would be virtually pollution free and so inexpensive that energy bills would become almost a thing of the past. This and modern farming methods, and it does not have to include hybrid seeds, but proper plowing, drip irrigation, water drainage, ecological means of pest control and other such technologies would allow the world to feed itself three times over without adding pollutants to the oceans. But the people who actually run our planet and wish to continue holding everyone in their concept of serfdom paying them for every drop of oil, every chunk of coal, every ounce of uranium and any other form of energy generation and thus refuse to allow any progress which would harm their industries. In time this will change as it always has and the Luddites will slowly fall back into obscurity.
