Random Terror or Targeted Assassination?

Ari Fuld was felled by a 16-year-old a resident of the Palestinian Authority-controlled town of Yatta, south of Hevron named Khalil Jabarin. The murder took place near a shopping center in Gush Etzion, just south of Jerusalem. Forty-five-year-old Ari Fuld was stabbed in the back and as the terrorist fled, Ari managed to give chase and open fire on the terrorist, but he later was to succumb to his wounds. The immediate reaction was indicative of the life of Ari Fuld, a father of four from the town of Efrat in Gush Etzion and an IDF veteran where he was prone to act without thinking of himself first, as recounted in this story. The Hamas terror group, unsurprisingly, praised the terrorist responsible for the murder of Ari Fuld, calling Khalil Jabarin a hero and a martyr. Hamas released a statement which read in part, “We welcome the stabbing attack in Bethlehem, which coincided with the killings of our people during the March of Return.” They further added, “The attack makes it clear that our people wish to continue the Jerusalem intifada. To resist the occupation, by using all means necessary, is our legitimate right.”

Ari Fuld

The official Palestinian Authority news agency WAFA presented the terrorist who murdered Ari Fuld Sunday morning as a victim of an Israeli shooting playing down the inconvenient fact that he was shot after his commission of a terror attack stabbing Ari Fuld leading to the Israeli’s death. The story ran under the headline, ‘Israeli forces injure Palestinian near Bethlehem.’ We are just waiting to see if this story reaches outside of Israel and should it do so, it will be curious as to how it is presented. We are anticipating that in Europe the story will start with the Palestinian youth being shot by an activist Israeli who was prominent in the Settler Movement. After exhausting that lie, they might mention that the Israeli was the victim of a terrorist stabbing or they may simply leave his stabbing up to the reader to decide which came first, the knifing or the shooting. We can give them a hint, if the shooting came before the stabbing, then there would have been no stabbing, just one dead young man but here the shooter died and the stabber was merely wounded. The stabbing initiated the exchange as the stabber had run placing distance between himself and the shooting reply which in a state of shock was probably even less accurate. We also expect for European protests demanding that Khalil Jabarin, at the tender age of just 16, was likely not really responsible for his actions and it was the actions of Israel that brought on this act of frustration.

We have been to this dance before and know the tune all too well. NGOs such as the New Israel Fund, Students for Justice in Palestine, Adalah, BDS, Coalition of Women for Peace and a plethora of ‘Human Rights’ NGOs which are simply against Israel and working in concert with the Arab and Muslim worlds for the elimination of the Jewish State replacing it with a democratic state of all its citizens meaning the entirety of the former British Mandate where the populations of the Palestinian Authority, Gaza, UNWRA refugees and Jordan will vote with Israel in a democratic election one time for the new dictator of the lands from Iraq to the Mediterranean Sea. This will place the ballot before approximately seven million Jews and two million other minority religions against somewhere in the neighborhood of twenty-five-million Palestinian and Jordanian Arab Muslims. This has been the latest idea for a fair means of representing the Arabs as a whole in their dispute with Israel solved democratically. We think it sounds like twenty-five wolves and seven sheep deciding on what will be dinner, or should we say who will be dinner.

Ari Fuld was a well known man and easily recognizable in the areas around where he was murdered. He was a member of his community’s rapid response team, and IDF veteran, and an advocate for Israeli rights and the enforcement of the actual laws which meant that Area C was designated as Israeli and that Israel was not expected to return to the Green Line which has been referred to as the Auschwitz Borders. Anyone with even the slightest hint of intelligence with a knowledge of history know very well that the British Mandate placed the border between Jordan and Israel as the Jordan River and that is the legal border to this day. Until and unless Israel signs away her rights to these lands, as she did Gaza, there is no legal means of taking them away. Sure, the “Palestinian Authority has just submitted a claim where the PLO urged ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda to meet with representatives of Khan al-Ahmar and Palestinian officials over the village’s fate,” according to Saab Erekat. He subsequently added, “We’re determined to pursue our fight in the UN Security Council, General Assembly and Human Rights Council and the International Court of Justice.” In response, US National Security Adviser John Bolton on Monday warned The Hague-based court not to go after Israel, stating, “We will not allow the ICC or any other organization to constrain Israel’s right to self-defense.” And of course, this would not be complete until we have two United Nations special human rights investigators commenting without any invitation stating, “Forced eviction constitutes a gross violation of the right to adequate housing under international human rights law. In addition, forcible transfer of people who are protected within an occupied territory is a grave breach of the Fourth Geneva Convention, and amounts to a war crime under the 1998 Rome Statute.”

We wonder what everyone thinks of the European Union building substandard shacks which lack water, sewage, electricity, gas, roads or even floors in the ‘homes’ and then protesting when Israel removes these illegal structures which were never licensed or inspected during their construction (see images below with the top one the one they are taking to the ICC). One can only wonder what the reaction would be if an Israeli company with money from an NGO would build a ramshackle neighborhood just outside The Hague and let homeless vagrants occupy them and demand that Brussels straighten out these homes and fit them to all the utilities so these poor people can live there. We get the feeling Israel would be condemned for this ‘equally egalitarian effort’ which mirrors the European Union actions in Israel and would be referred to as a completely different situation. Of course it is, there are no Jews being threatened, thus it has no purpose but the ones in Israel are on the grounds of another city, border a major highway and pose a direct threat even to emergency reaction forces which would need to use that highway. But that is exactly why the European Union is supporting the Palestinian complaint as is the United Nations and it would have been likely that the United States would have gone with the Palestinians had not the election placed Trump in the White House.

The reason we brought up these ludicrous attempts to destroy Israel was simply because Ari Fuld was deeply involved in the Zionist efforts and it will be impossible to replace his energy and enthusiasm. He is going to be missed and remembered whenever action may be required as he was a man who would not sit still when Israel was threatened. It was because of his community efforts and acts reaching throughout the region that made him a target. This was not what it will be portrayed, a random stabbing, this was a targeted murder. This was how the Palestinian Authority, PLO, Mahmoud Abbas, Hamas and the plethora of Arab anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic groups and individuals work to have their side take the superior position. To get a feel for the loss Israel is feeling and his community as well as his family, simply search Ari Fuld on Google or whatever search engine and you can get an idea of the man but for a deeper understanding, simply visit his Facebook page as long as Facebook leaves it in place. Nothing you read or watch can fully explain this wonderful human being who was targeted because he loved Israel and the Jewish People.

The Israeli Problem Rears it Head Once More

We thought that perhaps the Israeli Supreme Court had finally found a small degree of sanity. They had finally agreed that an illegal Arab Bedouin outpost near Jerusalem built without any plan or official recognition was to be dismantled. The outpost lacks all the essentials including having no electricity, no water supply, no sewage system, no gas, no utilities and no access roads. What less can a place have? This outpost is as isolated as an outpost could be except it lies between Jerusalem and Kfar Adumim on lands which are within the city limits provided for Kfar Adumim. This outpost was built in the early 1990’s with aiding financing from the European Union and some European nations and was given the name of Khan al Ahmar. It was financed and built with the intent to prevent the connecting of Kfar Adumim with the Jerusalem suburbs such that the rest of the world could decry the existence of Kfar Adumim claiming it impinged upon this Arab “city” specifically placed by Europe for just this purpose. This is far from the first illegal Arab settlement built by the European Union and European nations who build these Arab villages which exist without any utilities or support necessary to flourish (see images below). As soon as Israel sets in motion, the destruction of these Arab settlements the European Union, United Nations and European nations decry this as bringing the end and a form of genocidal intent and the application of Apartheid. These are the same bodies who demand that Jewish cities which were built legally but some NGO claims that were built on Arab owned land, though they have no deed, no Arab making the claim in a court, no proof and never sue in court to prove there was such ownership, but a scrap of paper is all they need and Jewish cities have ended up destroyed with the total support of the European Union, United Nations and a chorus of European nations. But destroy an Arab outpost and they are up in arms demanding that it be legalized. The story is easy to spell, if it might be Arab, it must be untouchable but should it be Jewish, it must be condemned and destroyed.

Well, this time the Israeli Supreme Court had supported the lower court rulings, something not even required to condemn a Jewish outpost or city, rejecting petitions to delay the destruction yet again. Finally, after over a quarter of a century the unlivable outpost of Khan al Ahmar was set for destruction (see image below). The police had gathered to remove the current squatters, not the original as the European supported NGOs which support these Arab facts on the ground have difficulty keeping residents to live in such primitive and difficult conditions. The Bedouins will also be a temporary group who will move in and then the European supported NGOs will find another group they will convince to come live in Khan al Ahmar. They promise that they will force Israel to provide utilities and legalize the place and then these people will have a new free home. This free home is flimsy and below any known building code in a modern nation. The Europeans do not care about the comfort, safety or even the lives of the Arabs they place in these outposts and villages, all they care about is they are destroying Israel. This has been their main driving force from the very beginning when the Mandate System was initialized with a set aside for the Jewish State.

The immediate aftermath of the Mandate for the Jewish State was assigned the British; they insisted that there had to be an Arab State alongside the Jewish State. Well, that sounds fair and dividing the area of the British Mandate evenly should be fair for both sides. But was the division fair or was it slanted sharply in one’s favor? You decide as the division was made along the Jordan River and was used to divide the area with the Jewish State getting the lands west to the Mediterranean Sea and Jordan receiving 78% of the Mandate Lands east of the Jordan River to the border of Iraq. So this divide was 78% for the Arab State and 22% for the Jewish State, but the Zionist Congress had little alternative but to accept this “fair” division. This was presumably the only division of the land which was guaranteed by the British Crown, the League of Nations and under Article 80 of the United Nations Charter, the United Nations guaranteed. All the allied powers from World War I also signed onto the Mandate system except the United States, which eventually signed on in the Anglo-American Convention. This means that all the efforts which have been imposed upon Israel since the liberation of her occupied lands in the Six Day War where Israel liberated the Shomron (West Bank) from Jordan and Gaza from Egypt have been illegal and a breaking of treaties and the Charter of the United Nations. Under International Law, the eastern border of Israel is the Jordan River. This is why we consistently state our belief that Israel should simply demand that which was guaranteed by treaties and promises from the world, and if the world wishes to contest this, then let’s let the fur fly.

So, now we come to late last week when the Supreme Court decided to entertain another petition to set off the demolition of the lingering twenty-five plus year old sore named Khan al-Ahmar. This piece of land is supposed to be being developed to allow for the natural growth of Kfar Adumim. That is what is at the center of this effort being pushed by all the usual parties listed above. The Supreme Court must have all but leapt off their benches to be allowed to postpone this demolition yet again. What is even more regrettable are these postponements and delays have allowed the some one-hundred-seventy or so Bedouin to have expanded the encampment in recent years with the aid of foreign governments, note the foreign governments interference with internal Israeli planning and freedoms. This encampment, outpost, excuse to prevent Israeli building plans, is squatting in Area C which even according to the Oslo Accords is under Israeli total control, period. All of these European Union squatters’ outposts have been built in Area C as they are attempting to maximize any Palestinian state, something the Arabs will never allow if doing so leaves even one square millimeter of land under Jewish control. The Europeans could easily build legal villages which Israel would support and hook into the water, electrical and other utilities if they would restrict these constructions to Areas A or B which are under Palestinian Authority rule. But the entire idea behind these outposts is to deny Israel its proper and legal right to lands. We are waiting for the first European Union outpost to be built in downtown Tel Aviv and the world to all but unanimously condone it as Arab land and demand that Israel turn over Tel Aviv to support that outpost, even if it was just a rented apartment. Time has come to put an end to the criminal acts of the European Union and their cohorts from around the world and end these prevarications and imposed blocking structures and the entirety that is the dishonest deception that is the Palestinian Arab people. They are nothing of the sort and are simply a wedge to pry Israel off the map and to again subjugate the Jews to foreign whimsy replete with the occasional oppressions as dispossessing the Jews can be such lucrative fun and fatten the national treasury and enrich the leadership. With the world rapidly becoming far more anti-Semitic and Jews coming under threat and assault more and more often, now is the time that Israel must stand and demand the world simply back off and take all that is rightfully Israel.

Necessary Immigration Reform Unlikely

The entirety of immigration laws and policies are in need of an overhaul. Much of the difficulties and problems with illegal immigration stem either directly or indirectly from the outmoded and obsolete laws, policies, regulations and procedures we currently are operating under. Unfortunately, what we need will be the last thing that the Congress and White House will enact. What we are most likely going to get thanks in part to the Democrats seeking new voters and the Republicans supporting a pool of below minimum wage workers who have no legal recourse. My bet is that what Congress will enact and the President will pass will be something along the Wimpy character reforms stating, “We will gladly enforce the border next Tuesday for an Amnesty today.” And just like the Wimpy character in the Popeye cartoons, they will gobble up the amnesty granting the eleven -million-plus illegal immigrants permanent work status soon followed by Green Cards which leads straight to citizenship all without stopping the influx of new illegals necessitating the next illegal immigrations debate for seventy-five-million additional undocumented workers in fifteen or so years. We had supposedly solved this problem under President Ronald Reagan’s Administration when a Democrat controlled Congress passed immigration reform which gave blanket amnesty and an expedited path to citizenship for three- million illegal immigrants with a promise to enact reforms and tough and strict enforcement laws soon thereafter. Surprise of all surprises, the reforms and enforcement somehow never quite materialized and now here we are again with reportedly quadruple the problem.

In 1986, with President Ronald Reagan, it was the Congress which enacted the empty promise which never was fulfilled. This time, with President Barack Obama, it is the President who is threatening to veto any legislation which does not allow for immediate amnesty and some viable path to citizenship and who is not all that demanding for any enforcement requirements to be included. There is a small core of Senators and Representatives who are demanding the inclusion of enforcements enacted as part of the legislation and that complete amnesty is withheld until the enforcement phase has been totally implemented. The problem I foresee is whoever is tasked with the responsibility of determining the completion of the enforcement phase has the power and option to acquiesce to those demanding the amnesty be granted with haste even without the completion of enforcement requirements. The basic problem is there are only a minority of people in Washington who truly wish to fix the problem. The forces and money is mostly supporting leaving everything just the way it is as extending the status quo provides everybody with something they desire with little if any downside. Those who desire the cheap labor, be it farming, manufacturing, food processing or domestic workers enjoy the convenience of a ready pool of illegals willing to work for less and who are often paid under the table. Those politicians whose election to office is heavily reliant on voters who do not want the illegals deported or denied the ability to collect a salary or benefits keep those voters happy, and those who stand for enforcement of our borders retain their soapbox on which to pontificate and either continue to hold office, be paid as a lobbyist or be paid as an activist. That has been the problem all along. Continuing the problem by never quite fixing what is wrong in the system serves to extend a great number of moneyed special interests, and we all know that money talks very loudly in Washington.

Even should the Congress pass and the President sign strong legislation that demands the actual physical closing of our borders, with time the enforcement funding will be cut in order to facilitate more entitlement spending. The United States as a country will be unable to implement or even maintain much of its operations if a solution is not found to the illegal immigration problems and the ballooning entitlement payments. For this article there is a special subset of the entitlement problem which also needs to be addressed. There are a fair number of illegal immigrants who are receiving entitlements from the government. This is a double problem as many, but not all, illegal immigrants work off the grid being paid under the table in cash and therefore not paying any taxes, income, FICA, or any of the numerous other taxes. Yet, on the other hand, there are those illegal immigrants who have found their way onto the entitlement roles such as Welfare, Food Stamps, even Social Security Disability as well as others. This is a double drain on the government funds as little if any is coming in while full payments are going out.

This alone should make it everybody’s concern that we put an end to the flood of illegal immigrants entering the United States. Of course there is the question of exactly how. There has long been those who simply claim that it would be impossible to implement or against the law to place the military on our borders to guard them. My response to that has been a simple, “Why?” There is no reason or law which would prevent having the military guard the borders. As far as the logistics, it might prove easier than many think. Imagine if as part of any Combat Arms training cycle, each unit upon completion of training was stationed guarding a sector of our borders for six months before being attached to their permanent duty station. There you have it, instant manpower to guard the border thus minimizing the number of units being deployed for that duty. There will be those who will decry that using the military is too harsh and endangers anybody who might try to illegally enter the country. Isn’t it the whole idea of guarding the border to make crossing the border difficult if not impossible and if it is made life-threatening, then far less people will be foolish enough to risk such a blatant breaking of our laws. Having the military enforcing the border would provide all the foot soldiers, mobile armored infantry, helicopter deployed air infantry, and all the support anybody could ask for. This would also give these soldiers real life active training with a missions statement and actual experience in guarding against active attempts of infiltration. This would very probably produce better soldiers entering the ranks of our military forces as it would give some seasoned training for the newly trained soldiers while providing the country with extremely secure borders. This is the only duty tasked to the military in numerous countries and is the rule and not the exception which many try to make it out to be. All there is to add might be, try it, you might like it and it could not turn out to be any worse than the current mess that is border enforcement.
