The Khan al-Ahmar Conundrum

Whether Khan al-Ahmar is a conundrum, a challenge, a problem, a dilemma or a complete cop-out by the Prime Minister after the Supreme Court finally got a decision correct is for each person to decide. There is another word which describes Khan al-Ahmar, that word is shambles (see image below). These are the structures which the European Union claims is a model of modern living where people have all the amenities for a comfortable life. This is supposedly a wonderful community which is well established and thriving. The European Union must have very low expectations as these shacks do not have water, sewage, electricity, gas, roads or anything necessary for modern life and minimal economic survival. Originally, the Europeans paid a number of Palestinian Arabs to take up residence and within two years, they left as they never received any of the promised utilities and recognized that the Europeans were simply using them and that their lives were not going to improve as long as they remained in these shacks. The Bedouins are using these shacks as they tend their flocks in the various fields surrounding the area and even they leave for periods of time. The European Union, United Nations, Palestinian Authority, a number of European nations and the United Nations International Courts have taken turns demanding that the Israeli Supreme Court prevent the relocation of the Bedouins, most of which have their own tents in which they normally reside, and preserve this precious Palestinian Arab village where Bedouins reside. The Israeli Supreme Court has ordered the destruction of Khan al-Ahmar repeatedly since the mid 1990’s over and over repeatedly ad nauseum. Finally, the Israeli Supreme Court, historically the Israeli institution which preserves almost any feasible Palestinian Arab structures from destruction while ordering the destruction of Jewish towns on the flimsiest evidence, finally made a final resolution that Khan al-Ahmar had to be destroyed and they refused to accept further petitions. So, this time the threat was directed at Prime Minister Netanyahu by the International Criminal Court Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda who said that Israel could be prosecuted for war crimes if it goes ahead with the demolition. Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda was quoted stating, “Extensive destruction of property without military necessity and population transfers in an occupied territory constitute war crimes.” She further warned that, “I will not hesitate to take any appropriate action within the framework of my authority according to the Rome Statute,” which would enable the International Criminal Court (ICC) to prosecute world leaders.

The Shambles of Shacks which Make-up Khan al-Ahmar

The Shambles of Shacks which Make-up Khan al-Ahmar

There is not another nation anywhere on the Earth where the entirety, or much of the entirety, of the world’s nations and international institutions take such interest into the minutia of the day-to-day operations of the government both national and city levels. The ICC, we are sure, check every order to destroy illegally built structures which are not even inhabited by their presumed original occupants, who happened to be paid to reside there and when the pay stopped, they left, and are now inhabited by migratory Bedouins and blocking long standing plans for the building of modern communities and work places and schools, restaurants, stores, offices and interconnected with roads connected to the remainder of the city of Kfar Adumim which is already connected to the remainder of the Israeli transportation systems. These structures will be interconnected with gas, water, sewage and be hooked to electricity. The plans for this extension have been on the books for a considerable time awaiting the legal machinations to play out in order to allow them to proceed. We still must ask, where on the earth are such things blown up into international criminal threats for charges to be filed against national leaders over what are simple zoning decisions and the removal of what are at best shanties. There is another level of these frustrations which are actually proudly marked with the building financiers mark despite the structures in many of these places also have no utilities, no water, no sewage, no electricity, no gas, no roads or anything necessary for modern life and minimal economic survival. These structures bear the mark of the beast, well, almost, they bear the mark of the European Union (see image below). It is beyond hypocritical that the European Union builds illegally within a region which by International Law belongs to Israel and then when Israel makes plans to demolish these structure, the European Union screams bloody murder and sues Israel through NGO’s one after another pressing the case over and over for years and then turning to international institutions such as the International Courts and the United Nations or UNESCO and other agencies all simply to block any and all Israeli construction.

Illegal European Union structures bearing obvious EU Identification signs

Illegal European Union structures bearing obvious EU Identification signs

In this current effort, they targeted not the Supreme Court, their normative agent used to implement these plots against Israel. This time the targeted they Prime Minister directly by threatening war crimes prosecution using the Rome Statutes. This worked exactly as they had hoped and he buckled despite the overt desire of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet where many insisted that Israel go ahead with the relocations and destruction. Leading these demands to continue with the order of destruction and relocating the squatters are Defense Minister Lieberman, Education Minister Bennett and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked. Still, these conspiratorial efforts are performed simply as a mean-spirited targeting only of Israel so as to prevent economic growth and the building of new residences for a growing population, not a falling off of native population as has infected European society. They are working in a concerted effort to destroy Israel by any and all means at their disposal. Europe has worked, with some few exceptions which mostly lie in Eastern Europe such as Czechoslovakia, and their ensuing two independent break-offs of Slovakia and especially the Czech Republic as well as Romania, Belarus and nations within Asia. What is interesting and takes us to our next report we will be commenting upon briefly is that if one were to list the European nations which are pursuing ways to assist Iran around the Trump imposed trade sanctions and the throttling of the Iranian ability to conduct world trade through impeding the use of the trade banks thus isolating their currency, these are the same nations attempting to destroy Israel, a coincidence which is as interesting as it is obvious. These efforts are being assisted by the United Nations (UN), the agencies of the UN, the International Courts, numerous Arab interests (but not all), Iran and the satellite supporting nations of Iran which include Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, Russia and other choice nations. The latest threat from Iran is that should Israel “make a mistake against Iran” where mistake means attack or another little episode, such as stealing the entirety of the records from their nuclear program since 1975 through the entirety of the Mullah’s rule including tons of information in CD’s, file cabinets of papers and all forms of data taken from Tehran in a single night, then they will “raze Tel Aviv and Haifa” according to a Senior Iranian official Hossein Amir-Abdollahian talking to Russia Today TV on October 18, 2018 (see video below from MEMRI). Why are there no threats coming from the ICC to indict Hossein Amir-Abdollahian for war crimes for threatening to raze Tel Aviv and Haifa without even making the slightest of efforts to resettle the residents beforehand? We will tell you why, they are not the Jewish State and thus what they intend to do is unimportant and only Israel must be above and beyond what is expected of any other nation. Israel is expected to reach perfection according to the ideas and measures of the world bodies and the Europeans, numerous Arabs and the Iranians and meet the main requirement that Israel simply disappear by its own hand in order to satisfy their lurid dreams.

Now is the time to actually reach our conclusions rather than simply talking about what is actually occurring and leaving it at that as we do all too often. Yes, we put our slant and beliefs upon the acts, actions, speeches, legislations and world events. But now we will go further as we do on rare occasions. These are our opinions and do not necessarily represent the opinion or positions of any other institution or group outside BTC. Now on we go with the launch of the solutions. Israel needs to get on some armor and simply choose her directions and start to move. She has to stop worrying about what others might do or trying to do to prevent Israel from reaching the goals and solutions which would best serve her. Let them do their worst and we will simply do what it is we are required to do to make our nation safe and our people safe. Israel might actually be required to actually take risks, but that is often how progress can be made. The very first step which Israel must take is to become completely self-sufficient. This does not require that Israel grow all the food she requires within her borders or mine all the resources from within her border, but anything other than raw materials must be manufactured within Israel and not be relying on any foreign nation for her own defense. Currently, Israel is a slave to the United States because she is tied to the United States for her weapons, ammunition, munitions, armaments for aircraft, helicopters, fighter jets and air equality as the United States has broken her promise to provide Israel with Middle East air superiority but currently is providing Saudi Arabia, Egypt and probably Jordan with the same aircraft as has been supplied to Israel and combined these Arab and potential adversaries in the future with superior numbers against Israel leaving any equality up to the ability of Israeli pilots. Any coming war between Israel and Hamas or, even worse, Hezballah, which is the same as Iran, then Israel could lose some numbers of aircraft and armored vehicles and worse, unacceptable losses of our most precious resource, our young IDF soldiers. Should Israel be attacked and the President of the United States decide to force Israel to dance to his specific tune, all the President need do is refuse to provide the needed bullets, grenades, other munitions, aircraft, helicopters and armaments for the aircraft unless Israel dances as requested. There is an even worse scenario, the United States could decide to renege on their promises and break off any friendly relations with Israel and decide to fully back the Arab demands for Israel to be placed under Muslim rule.

Looking at the future, Israel needs to be building their next fighter aircraft and helicopters inside Israel by Israeli companies requiring only the raw metals and materials to produce the ceramics and other nano-materials and all carbon based materials, especially carbon fiber in its numerous varieties and formulae. Israel can fully afford to make all their own weaponry, munitions, arms, armaments, aircraft, helicopters, armor (which Israel already does as well as other armored vehicles) and absolutely anything else required to defend the nation and keep her people safe. The Iron Dome and Merkava Main Battle Tank are proof of Israeli ability and she had three more layers to her missile and cruise missile defense. Israel could place the manufacturing center for aircraft as well as rockets and make an entire space and air flight center in the middle of the Negev Desert (see map below). This place should have multiple launch facilities and be capable of launching as many as three to five orbital launches or further every week. This would permit Israel to become the main center for the launching of satellites for the world outside the big three, United States, China and Russia.

Israel Space Port Launch Facility

Israel Space Port Launch Facility

Using this launch facility, Israel could build a space wheel in the near future. Further, we believe that Israel could design a passenger aircraft with numerous varieties to fit the numerous different styles and types of flights from transcontinental and intercontinental to short hops which would use less fuel and fly faster while also using less runway lengths. Israel would also be able to enter into the sales of military aircraft and all of these industries would offer numerous skilled jobs of many and varied levels with most paying well. This would provide a new tax base simply through the new employment and would provide entire industries requiring different engineering degrees and mathematics as well as physics specialists. The assembly technicians would also be required to have certain special abilities. Who knows, perhaps such a location which would have so many people which design specialties, maybe Israel could make a completely green car capable of replacing the electric and gasoline and diesel vehicles with different versions from the family wagon to the sport version capable of zero to one-hundred-kilometers-per-hour in three and a half seconds. Once Israel has these industries in place and are ready to start to produce her sixth generation aircraft, then she could easily tell the United States that she no longer requires or desires their military monies. Hopefully Israel could divorce herself from total reliance on the United States before the United States cuts off all aid to Israel. This would allow Israel to make her decisions without having to conference with the United States and make sure they satisfy the State Department; buy sufficient from the Defense Industries to make the Defense Department happy and also satisfy the President of the United States while also meeting the demands of the Ambassador, the Middle East Advisors, the Special Advisors for this that and the other, the United Nations Ambassador and who knows how many other advisors; Ambassadors representing every Tom, Dick and Harry representing nations from across the globe and whomever else gets to put their two cents worth in; and tell them that we are not taking your money or need your weapons and are free to do as we please. This accomplished and Israel can tell the United Nations, the European Union, the nations of the world and anybody else who believes they have influence and the right to instruct Israel in what she must and must not do that we are free and independent and have our own hopes and desires and these will guide our actions, not any of the rest of you. Israel must become self-sufficient followed immediately by becoming fully independent and seeking that which serves Israel and her needs and not worry about what the rest of the world demands of us. This, in our version of the world, would result in our immediate establishing the borders we were promised in the original British Mandate and inform the Palestinians that they are residing under Israeli rule and are legal resident aliens and if they should partake in any terrorist or other acts against the Israeli governance that they would be deported. As for any offers to assist them in leaving by their own volition, well, that would be up to the Knesset and for them to decide if such an incentive program would be desired and how it might function. As far as Gaza is concerned, Israel should recognize it as the nation of Hamastan and then should Hamas attack Israel to continue with the infiltration tunnels, then that would be an act of war and could be taken seriously and once a state of war exists between Israel and Gaza, we would not put much hope in the entity of Gaza continuing to exist or for her population to remain once that war was completed. Some problems can be framed in such a way as they rapidly solve themselves, and that is how Israel needs address her problems, period.

We all knew this day would eventually come and now it has arrived, the conducting of an investigation by the International Criminal Court (ICC) into Israeli actions during their wars against Arab forces which instigated these wars and skirmishes by their terrorist activities. The area of scrutiny will be this past summer’s war between Gaza Hamas terrorists who had initiated the conflict with the launching of thousands of rockets into Israeli towns and cities aiming not for military targets but for civilian homes, businesses as well as schools, camps, daycares, hospitals and other civilian locations. ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda said her office would conduct an “analysis in full independence and impartiality” into supposed war crimes by Israel, including accusations from Hamas’s most recent terror war against Israel last summer. The Honorable Fatou Bensouda is currently one of the Chief Prosecutors of the International Criminal Court where she had previously been a Deputy Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. She is a native of Gambia and attended law school at University of Ife Nigerian Law School International Maritime Law Institute. Some might wonder why the ICC has dedicated their Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda on an investigation of Israeli actions and not assigned a prosecutor to investigate Bashir al-Assad and Syria, ISIS, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, or Boko Haram for their far more obvious criminal actions and threats they pose to the societies and nations in their vicinity. Could one of the mitigating factors be that Israel is a liberal democracy with freedom of the press and is an open book making any investigation much easier and that Israel offers a safe location in which to perform ones investigations and a ready supply of functioning five star hotels perched right on pristine beaches with an active and cultured night life while investigating these other far more worthy targets for crimes against humanity and war crimes are far more dangerous, have limited accommodations while conducting the investigation and simply looking into actions of these entities could easily result in great danger to those conducting such investigations. I am sure such creature comforts and relative safety had little to do with the decision to investigate Israel and none of these other entities. If I were to be detached and honest about the choices in prosecuting Israel over Syria, Boko Haram, ISIS or al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula by the Honorable Fatou Bensouda, I would completely agree with her choice as by comparison any groundwork to be performed in Israel, even if it included daytime trips into Gaza and seeking Hamas members for their giving interrogatories and affidavits, I too would most certainly decide to investigate Israel and would take my sweet time about it even knowing and being fully aware even before I started that if any irregularities or infractions were found and Israeli officials, either or both political or military, were made aware that Israel would immediately begin their own investigation and prosecution if one were seemed warranted. What many in the world might find hard to fathom but I feel I can predict this accurately and with little risk of being disproven, if the ICC demanded to be privileged to the entire investigation and to co-investigate the Israelis would welcome the assistance and expertise the ICC investigator could provide. Would any of the other entities which the ICC has thus far refused to launch any investigations be anywhere near as cooperative or even assure the investigator and their support staff’s safety to anywhere near the level that they will receive in Israel?

The reason being provided by the ICC’s Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, “A preliminary examination is not an investigation but a process of examining the information available in order to reach a fully informed determination on whether there is a reasonable basis to proceed with an (actual complete) investigation.” Needless to point out, Israel has deplored the needless investigation and pointed out that the Palestinian Authority is not a nation and thus may not call for an ICC investigation nor can it actually receive ICC membership. It was also pointed out that the war in Gaza pitted Israel against Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists who consistently ignore all the laws of warfare and regularly target civilian Israelis while utilizing the civilians in Gaza as human shields for their fighters and rocket launchers and have regularly placed their leadership within a bunker built underneath Gaza’s largest hospital to assure Israel will not target the Hamas leadership. Further, it is noted that Israel uses their military to protect their civilians as proven by the Iron Dome systems and their saving of Israeli civilians in the last war and that Hamas and Islamic Jihad use their civilians to protect their weapons of war and fighters. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated emphatically that, “Israel rejects the absurd decision of the ICC prosecutor. It’s absurd for the ICC to ignore international law and agreements, under which the Palestinians don’t have a state and can only get one through direct negotiations with Israel.” Earlier in the day Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman took to the offense accusing the ICC of starting an investigation in order to “try to harm Israel’s right to defend itself from terror.” He further accused that the ICC was “solely motivated by political anti-Israel considerations,” and he further stated he would advise against any Israeli cooperation with the probe. Cooler heads will prevail as nothing will be gained by refusing to cooperate. But should the investigation prove to be more witch hunt than honest seeking of information and truth, then expect a very public explosion of accusations from across most of the political spectrum against the Honorable Fatou Bensouda and her staff and expect them to be invited to depart from Israel controlled areas. Since Israel removed themselves from membership in the ICC they are not obliged to offer cooperation or to subject their people to rulings or trial by the ICC and should the ICC convict any Israelis of war crimes or crimes against humanity they will be investigated by Israel as well and if found guilty of such crimes the ICC will be the least of their troubles. Surprisingly, the United States, even including the State Department, have come out in complete agreement with the Israelis in that the Palestinians are not a recognized nation nor a state by the definitions of statehood. And oddly, there is an actual treaty which is accepted as providing the legal definitions of what an entity is required to meet to be recognized as a state and thus be accepted by international conventions, agendas, treaties and other legalities. The definition for recognizing an entity as a state they must first meet the definitions within the Montevideo Convention on the Rights and Duties of States, something which virtually every international lawyer and is used by the United Nations and the majority of nations. Just in case anyone is curious, the Palestinians do not meet the requirements in the Montevideo Convention to qualify as a state.

I guess we have reached the point where I get to get myself in trouble by making predictions which could also qualify as guessing or taking stabs in the night while blindfolded. The Honorable Fatou Bensouda will spend over four months and demand Israel provides more documentation than any reasonable person might find necessary. Numerous prolonged trips to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem to gather information and to research the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and their actions in Gaza this past summer will be required with most coming during the winter months when Tel Aviv is nice and warm and the ICC home in the Hague in the Netherlands is experiencing wonderful winter weather with near or below freezing temperatures and horrific rain or snow and Tel Aviv has weather suitable for swimming in the Mediterranean. Well, as long as one is not a skier or ice skater, where would you rather be in the middle of the winter, freezing in the Netherlands or swimming in the Mediterranean even if it requires you to visit Israel. Me too and I already live less than five blocks from the Mediterranean in Israel but fortunately not Tel Aviv. The Honorable Fatou Bensouda will refuse to comment quoting regulations and restrictions which do allow for the Prosecutors’ Offices from commenting on an ongoing investigation. She also will not want to let out that she has completed all the investigation necessary to reach a determination but with next winter arriving in a few months why give up on a reason to escape the worst of the winter weather swimming in the Mediterranean. The inevitable result will be, at the worst, one or two potential investigations which Israel will have completed proper investigations and have prosecuted any deserving soldiers or commanders which will negate the need for an ICC intervention. There has already been one investigation launched about six weeks ago into a potential situation which may require hearings or even a trial. The earliest hearings were held against a commander who was exonerated from the charges of refusing to pass information which may have caused investigations within his units to higher-ups but the investigation resulted in turning up the actual paperwork which had been filed with his superiors negating any suspicions or need for further actions. When the ICC Prosecutors’ Office releases their report signed and approved by the Honorable Fatou Bensouda revealing that no discrepancies or criminal investigation has been determined to be required and that the IDF has been cleared of any wrongdoings over their actions during the war with Hamas and the terror entities in Gaza during the Protective Edge operations over the summer there will be denounced and the Arab Authority, PLO, Fatah, Hamas and other Arab spokespersons will take turns denouncing the ICC for being duped or controlled by the Israelis or by the Jews who have infiltrated the Prosecutors’ Offices and tainted their impartiality. The Arab League will convene an emergency meeting to address the crisis caused by the obviously politicized lack of findings of guilt of war crimes committed by Israel during the summer war. It would not be surprising for the Arab nations or the Palestinian Liberation Organization to take a petition to the United Nations General Assembly demanding that they pass a resolution demanding that the ICC act on the crimes against humanity and war crimes which they must have discovered during their investigations and immediately make those crimes known to the world such that those guilty Israeli soldiers are able to be tried by European nations who claim international jurisdiction and demand that the IDF can be roundly condemned by the United Nations General Assembly in lieu of any action from the ICC. At the least the condemnation will be passed by the General Assembly and potentially there will be another resolution demanding the ICC release the entirety of their presumably confidential findings complaining that the summation and report they provided was inadequate and the General Assembly desires to review all of the evidence to determine what crimes were overlooked by the ICC under duress exerted by Israel and the Jewish world lobby. The grousing by Abbas, Erekat, Haniyeh, Mashaal and the rest of the Arab spokespersons even to include Ministers of the Knesset Zoabi and Tibi and others that there must have been dubious findings which had to be the result of evil influences which forced the ICC to issue their report exonerating the IDF which obviously had to have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity. The overwhelming evidence, they will claim, was evidenced by the lack of Israeli civilian casualties compared to the overwhelming numbers of civilian casualties suffered by the citizens of Gaza. This disparity can only be explained by war crimes and the IDF targeting the civilians and could not have been the result of Hamas using their civilian population as shields for their rocket launchers and terrorist fighters or by the Iron Dome intercepting virtually all of the Hamas and Islamic Jihad rockets fired which were likely to strike inhabited areas. There will be some European justices who will accept the Arab accusations and will issue warrants for the IDF hierarchy and potentially issue warrants for Israeli politicians in high office or holding Ministerial positions. Eventually everything will calm down and the warrants will lapse or be cancelled outright and the end will come when the Arab whining politicians have wrought all the media coverage they can from their whining about the evil Israelis and treacherous Jews. By then there will be something else with which to condemn Israel and demand that Israel be forced to conform to any and all demands made by the Arab Authority.

Yesterday we took a somewhat longer view of our universe which can be read here, but now let’s take a look at items a little closer to this year alone and things we can examine closer to the here and now. The first news read on page one or heard on news broadcasts might have been about the petition filed by Jordan before the Security Council as the agents for the Palestinian Authority demanding the Security Council act to basically force Israel to surrender to the territorial demands without any demand for the Palestinians to make peace was not passed missing by a single vote. There will be many editorials examining why the petition failed and in many instances there will be questions as to what actions were taken by Israel to possibly affect Rwanda, Nigeria and Britain that they abstained when predictions from different news organizations had listed combinations of these as the last votes which were thought to be in the Palestinian support column. Reacting immediately to their defeat, the Palestinian Authority in its numerous manifestations acted to join various conventions including and starting with the Rome Convention in order to attempt to call Israel onto the carpet before the International Criminal Court (ICC) on various charges of crimes against humanity and various war crime charges. If Israel were a normal nation these charges would be thrown out without any consideration, but Israel has the advantage, as does the United States and other nations, fearful of being subjected to specious accusations forcing them to be spending an inordinate amounts of time and treasure fighting one charge after the other, of placing themselves outside of the full jurisdiction by retracting themselves or having never joined the ICC, thus leaving them subjected to only a very limited number of acts or accusations emanating from the ICC. The nations who have placed themselves under such a state of exclusion from the complete power to be adjudicated before the ICC have not had efforts made to force them to stand before the court in contradiction to their electing to decide not to be within the full jurisdiction of the court, but we may soon see if Israel will be the first to be demanded to stand before the ICC despite their not being a member after the Palestinian Authority or one of its numerous manifestations bring charges against Israel at the ICC. Where the filing of charges by Mahmoud Abbas and the Authority is not a guaranteed certainty, yet the decision will not be decided or even the slightest bit influenced by the actual fact of whether Israel can legally be brought before the ICC on the more than likely specious charges. But there is always the one unknown, whenever something includes Israel in the equation, evidence soon proves that Israel is not treated the same as other nations and things for which no other nation would be excoriated and forced to be subjugated to adjudication despite presumably being beyond the jurisdiction under the ICC authority. So, it might not prove to be all that surprising, though there will be those newscasters breathlessly commenting as to the potential priority setting situation should Israel actually be brought to answer against the charges filed with the ICC by Saab Erekat and Mahmoud Abbas. These reports will logically be followed by breathless interviews with numerous spokespersons including our culprits, Saab Erekat and Mahmoud Abbas, with easy softball questions and supportive commentary expressing sympathy for and verification of their cause and agreement that the seriousness of their charges demands an exception as there must be resolution for these accusations, the rules be damned. There will also be interviews of Israelis, especially such as Prime Minister Netanyahu and any others who are named in the accusations, where the attitude will be even more accusatory than a television dramatic prosecutor, as that is the part they are actually assuming, with demands that guilt for the charges be admitted berating the interviewee severely as if that would be sufficient to presage the newscaster’s hunger for an admission of guilt from any of the Israelis subjected to this trial by media. This little scenario may even play out throughout the year as new charges are filed and other agencies are sought in further attempts to vilify Israel and bring her down by a continuous barrage of accusations as the latest manner of assault. The Geneva Convention in numerous different areas and treaties were also signed by Mahmoud Abbas granting yet another friendly venue for more charges and then there will be the attempt by Abbas and Iran, Turkey, Qatar, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and who knows what other Arab or Muslim nations will join demanding that Israeli be forced to sign onto the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) thus also demanding that Israel destroy any nuclear weapons they possess as well as decommissioning their research reactor at Dimona in the Negev Desert. The reactions from the community of nations will tell more about the nations of the world than it will about Israel.

Russia will continue to be an extension of President Vladimir Putin’s desires to return Russia, and through Russia also aggrandizing himself, to its former glories as the Soviet Union by slowly ratcheting up pressures on the closest former Warsaw Pact nations. He may renew pressuring Georgia, providing arms and potentially providing fighters in the eastern provinces of the Ukraine in efforts to break them away and place a puppet government over the territories. Then there is what appears to be the next target predicted for Russian interest, Moldova. Where it is true that Moldova is a small nation, it also is located centrally between Romania and the Ukraine which means that should Putin gain leverage over Moldova, he will then have a base with which to threaten the western border of the Ukraine making the situation in the Ukraine even more volatile than it currently appears to be. What makes such a move even more dangerous is the fact that in 1992 Moldova was accepted into NATO and has remained a NATO member nation ever since. Any Russian moves on Moldova would have consequences far beyond the Ukraine or Romania, which are the two nations surrounding the small nation, but would also be a direct challenge to the NATO treaty for mutual defense by all nations should any nation under the NATO umbrella be attacked. Should United States President Obama refuse to act or only act by ‘leading from behind’, as he has shown a preference for doing, then Putin might decide that NATO is a paper tiger making her member nations susceptible to attack without any risk of further escalation. Such an indication might trigger Putin making good on his off-the-cuff remark made a few months back in a moment of bravado claiming that he could take any and all NATO countries without suffering any repercussions from the remaining NATO nations. Making a move to take Poland as well as all the smaller nations right on the Russian border might even appear to be something which would carry little downside.

There are those who have predicted that President Vladimir Putin would be driven from office in a response to the crash of the Russian nation’s currency taking it from Ruble to Rubble. Recent polling shows Putin still well regarded by the Russian public carrying near eighty-five percent approval, certainly not the sign of a leader in trouble at home. Putin will continue to present a threat to the nations nearest Russia as increasing Russian territory is nearly guaranteed to spur economic growth to aid the Russian economy out of its current difficulties. There is one silver lining in this dark cloud which is the Russian economy, with the decreased worth of the Ruble, this priced the Russian oil and natural gas at a far lower than before the downward spiral thus protecting Russia from the petroleum warfare being waged against Iran by Saudi Arabia. We can expect Russia to also make the news with Iran in their mutual support for Syrian President for Life Bashir al-Assad against the rebel forces largely consisting of forces allied in an al-Qaeda with the majority of the rest belonging to ISIS. We should not expect for Bashir al-Assad to fall from power or stop the extreme methods he has employed against the rebel forces, ISIS and his own people. No matter who prevails in Syria, the victory will be a Pyrrhic victory, as the entire nation has been devastated with the majority of the infrastructure being completely destroyed. The most important yet devastating development to come as a result of the Syrian Civil War has been the rise of ISIS and their control of much of central Iraq and a swath of land across Syria reaching almost to the Turkish border where they were stopped dead at the northern city of Kobane where Kurdish Peshmerga Militias are making a desperate and unbelievable stand.

Speaking of Kobane brings us to one of the more desperately unfortunate events which have been unfolding as if in slow motion, the Islamification of Turkey slowly turning back almost one-hundred years of progress by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. President Erdogan has singlehandedly undone the carefully crafted safeguards by which Turkey had been secularized in the aftermath of World War I and the defeat of the Ottoman Empire by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Turkey was included in NATO during the Cold War in order to seize control of the Bosphorus Straights which gave NATO the ability to stop all shipping traffic from the Black Sea into the Mediterranean Sea and from there to the Atlantic Ocean. This gave the NATO allies a way of monitoring and potentially trapping the Soviet Union’s access to the Atlantic as their sole warm water port was in the Crimean, the same port that Russia has grabbed by their assuming control over the Crimea from the Ukraine. President Erdogan has been serving the interests of the Muslim Brotherhood openly with the silent consent of United States President Obama. Erdogan found his best ally in transforming Turkey back into an Islamist state in the European Union where the nations of the European Union with the assistance of the United States then President George W. Bush when they prevented the ranking generals of the military from performing a coup as their reaction as tasked by the Turkish Constitution where it stated that should the Turkish government be detected moving the nation back into the arms of Islamic Sharia that the military must step in and end such governance. Then the Turkish military was tasked with overseeing elections permitting only a secular government to form before returning civilian control. This method had been utilized in 1960 and again in 1980 and was almost going to occur once again around 2004-5 but the European Union warned the Turkish military that the nations within the European Union, which Turkey is trying desperately to join, do not allow for the military to rise up against the civilian government for any reason even if such power is vested in the military to preserve the secular nature of the nation. This basically froze the military’s power and Erdogan slowly but inexorably replaced those generals who were opposed to the direction he was steering the nation. President Erdogan is still moving Turkey away from Europe and NATO and towards the Muslim Brotherhood and seemingly illuminating the imposition of Sharia on all of Turkey. President Erdogan has also waged a low-level war of attrition against the Kurds which has been expanded since to include arming, training and financing the Sunni rebels fighting against Syrian President al-Assad. With the Kurdish also fighting against al-Assad, Erdogan had to decide whether he would aid the Kurds in Syria, and especially in Kobane where the Kurds were getting desperate. This led to allowing the Kurdish Peshmerga Militias from Iraq to enter Syria from Turkey and aid the Kurdish fighters. The Islamization of Turkey is likely to continue unabated and Turkey will probably continue to aid ISIS as best as they are able mostly by reselling the oil from Iraq using that marketing as the easiest way to both provide Turkey with revenue while also funding ISIS.

Turkey is not the only nation being inexorably moved into compliance with the Sharia as many of the European nations have minority neighborhoods which are imposing Sharia as the laws within their controlled neighborhoods. These enclaves are almost exclusively inhabited by Muslims with only a small numbers of the original Europeans still reside in these enclaves and they too would have moved given the opportunity. There are those who claim that it is these new immigrants which spend their time protesting against Israel and are also responsible for the increased anti-Semitism. Unfortunately it is not exclusively the immigrant population who are responsible for the recent escalating numbers of anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic crimes which have increased so significantly that the increases are not measurable as easily as a percentage but rather as a multiplier. Had the increases been merely a percentage such as an increase of fifteen percent, twenty percent numbers like that might have been the new immigrant populations and as such acceptable as an explanation. Perhaps even fifty percent or even anything less than ninety percent but when countries are measuring increases of incidents of violent anti-Semitic acts increasing by four times, five times and in some cities even worse numbers, we are talking increases above, if measured by percentages, numbers of more than seven-hundred percent and those numbers require more than just the new immigrants. Do these immigrants count for a large number? Yes, but not the entirety. One need only look at the evening news to see that at some rallies the participants are not immigrants. When the banners carry the Golden Dawn logo we are not looking at immigrants. The same goes for the Jobbik Party demonstrations. When a Mayor of a major city, one of the five largest in that nation, and the mayor tells the Rabbi of a community which has resided in that city for centuries that the Jews will no longer be safe and there is nothing that can be done to protect them, that is more than the new immigrants. The Jews have seen this before when in the first decade and a half after the founding of the state of Israel we saw this in one Arab country after the other where the Jews were told by a friend that it would be better if they left, if they left and moved to that country of theirs. First it was in individual small towns and villages and eventually became the entire nation regurgitating their Jews. We saw it in Russia in the seventies and eighties. We saw it here in Europe right after World War II when many returned to their homes from before the horrors they had already suffered and when returning to their town only to be met with some family living in their home as the bombs destroyed half of the town and they had to live somewhere and we were not there, so, you do what you have to do. Not everywhere was like this, but still, anyone receiving such a greeting returning from the camps was a bit much. What was the answer every time? We heard you would not be returning, half the homes were hit by bombs, artillery, whatever. What were we told? Go to that country you are founding. Where will the Jews of today go; America? Canada? Israel? We may as well realize that eventually we will all end up together again in Israel as even Canada and the United States are seeing the beginnings of what has metastasized in Europe. The entirety of the world is going to be spitting out their Jews and yet when we find ourselves in Israel, the place everybody tells us is our nation and where we belong, then we get there and are told that is not ours either. If not Israel, where else is there? We asked this question once before in “If Not Israel Where do the Jews Belong? and nobody had an answer then. My bet is nobody has an answer now either. Maybe if every nations sent us here then can we please have all of the lands you once promised we could use for our little corner in the world, our really little corner in the world? Just allow us sovereignty over the lands west of the Jordan River and east of the Mediterranean Sea and allow us to live in peace and in return we will make advances in whatever fields we touch and we will share them with the world just as we have always done. We are a sharing people which we have always been ever since we shared what we received on two stone tablets. Perhaps you remember those ten rules we shared with all the societies on earth; we shared the one enduring set of laws that really were written in stone, twice. We merely asked that others observe seven that Noah recounted after the flood as what his family could base a just and civil society, just Seven Noahic Codes; that’s all.
