Mahmoud Abbas Makes Peace Impossible

The world loves to claim that Mahmoud Abbas is Israel’s best prospect for peace. The shocker is that we agree with that statement and claim that this makes peace impossible. What people do not realize is that Mahmoud Abbas is Israel’s savior from its own mistakes. More than once Prime Minister Netanyahu has agreed to make sacrifices for peace which would have very possibly mortally wounded Israel. Had these offers been accepted the Arabs would have been able to fire rockets directly into Tel Aviv using line of sight aiming which would have crippled all economic life and life in general for the majority of Israelis. But Israel has a strange savior because Hashem works in strange and mysterious ways and often with a sense of irony thrown in just for amusement sake. That savior is the man who cannot afford to accept any peace because doing so would cost him everything. That man is Mahmoud Abbas and he knows the minute that he makes peace with Israel and the IDF and Israeli security personnel withdraw from Judea and Samaria that his life would not be insurable with Lloyd’s of London at any price, and they have an odds price on virtually anything. Once Abbas makes a peace with Israel he would be wise to leave before Hamas makes their move as the result will be identical to the fight over Gaza except this time those Hamas does not like will have nowhere to run. Abbas knows his name tops that list and that only the IDF and Israeli security forces stand between Hamas and his neck, thus he will never make peace. Still, he is Israel’s best chance for peace as there is no other and that is the sole reason, and the world knows this as well.

Then why does the world, especially the European Union and the United Nations insist that Israel make sacrifices to bring Mahmoud Abbas to the negotiating table? They do this for two reasons; first because they want to compromise Israel, and second because they know Abbas will never make peace thus they can make Israel destroy itself safely and without getting their hands dirty. Their plan is to shrink Israel piece by piece which is funny as that is also the Arab plan for the destruction of Israel, by stages peace by peace. Prime Minister Netanyahu also knows the truth about Abbas and his delicate predicament and that Abbas is happy with things just the way they are. You need to understand that Mahmoud Abbas has another interest in keeping everything just as they are because the European Union and the United Nations plus certain European nations along with the United States continue sending millions of dollars atop millions of dollars annually from which Abbas and select groups amongst the Palestinian Authority (PA) leadership and PLO hierarchy, of which Mahmoud Abbas is the top person in each, are taking their generous share off the top making themselves unbelievably wealthy. Abbas is not about to kill the geese which continue laying golden eggs for him and with whose gold he uses to retain loyalty and stays alive. These are the realities and everybody involved is quite content with the status quo, well, except for Netanyahu and the majority of Israelis, and that brings us to other realities we all know are real and true.

This is where International Law enters the picture and the realities of treaties, conventions, mandates, charters and hard facts come in. What all of these do is paint a picture of another reality which Abbas knows as does everybody else who is playing the music that they are all dancing to. The truth is that all the lands between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea belongs to Israel and will remain Israeli unless Israel signs treaties giving the land away. That is how they stole Gaza and Israel learned a hard lesson there. Israel also knows that should they ever again be forced to fight and gain territory, not to return it but to exercise the law of nations that allows that lands gained in a defensive war may be retained by the aggrieved nation. This lesson was the lesson of southern Lebanon where once Israel returned the lands taken in the war with Hezballah they returned in force and now that area has approximately one-hundred-fifty-thousand rockets and missiles aimed at every target imaginable throughout all of Israel all the way down to Eilat at the southernmost tip of the country. Israel has learned that every inch of land which she allows to be given to her enemies, be it Israeli lands or those gained in defensive struggles, are immediately taken by the terrorist enemies and become a launching pad for future wars and terrorist raids and continuous threat for more death and destruction. Yet this is exactly what the world demands that Israel concedes to, giving lands to those who will immediately utilize it as a staging ground for the eventual destruction of the Jewish State. But fortunately Mahmoud Abbas must refuse any offer no matter how generous as he proved when offered over ninety percent of Judea and Samaria, half of Jerusalem including the Old City and Temple Mount, and lands from within the Green Line equal to the lands retained from Judea and Samaria. This offer was refused twice, one when offered by Ehud Barak in 2000 and again in 2008 offered by Ehud Olmert. Perhaps Israel should be wary of any leader named Ehud in the future, especially Barak and Olmert.

Israel has a world seemingly hungry for her to sacrifice pieces of her ancient homelands and half her Capital City of Jerusalem and much of the historic lands of the Bible. Places that Christian and Jews hold sacred, Biblical Places, such as Bethlehem, Jericho, Hevron, Bethel and numerous others. They would demand that the Temple Mount be made Islamic only grounds where they would picnic and play soccer while Jews and Christians would be denied to come to their precious lands. These are the demands the world makes and then relies on Mahmoud Abbas to refuse any offerings so they can claim they are the ones standing for peace if only Israel would satisfy the Arab demands. We are back to the fact that everybody on all sides are familiar with the Arab demands and that they will only accept the Jews living under Arab rule begging for each day and praying that it not be their last. The Arabs cannot allow Israel to exist because their pride is challenged as the area once was theirs. They have the same problem with the lands of Andalusia, what we recognize today as Spain and Portugal. They also believe that the lands all the way to the gates of Vienna should be returned to them as the Ottomans twice extended their reach to the gates of that city. The Europeans also know that Israel is like the plug in the bottle and without Israel they stand even more vulnerable than they presently find themselves, and that brings us to the final story.

Biblical Israel

Biblical Israel a Historic and Accurate View

Europe and the remainder of the free world and developed world are facing the same threat as Israel, Islamic terrorism. The United States has taken a partial step in preventing further infiltration, though it is currently being debated in the courts, briefly, as the restraints on immigration will stand the test. Europe has been open to infiltration and has reaped their just rewards and the people have begun to stir in a number of nations. The terrorism threat has reared its ugliness throughout much of Europe but media and the current leaders are doing all they can to downplay these incidents. Many Europeans feel betrayed by their leadership which has these leaders worried as facing their public come next elections. Some are proposing an administration which would control the media acting as a Ministry of Truth. Their quoted intention was to prevent “fake news” and to act as fact checkers, but the facts they check could be to further their power or at least try to protect them until after the next elections. The left realizes that they have backed themselves into a corner and the troubles the people have realized is being placed at their doorstep. BREXIT and the election in the United States of Donald Trump as President and a Republican Congress have sent shivers through the entire left-wing political hierarchy which has completely controlled Europe for over a decade. Now they feel threatened and still have not realized why the people are displeased. The next set of elections in Europe might bring about a seismic shift in the political alignment of the continent. The real question is to how long the populations will remain engaged and retain a more measured and conservative leadership in power. The balance is precariously balanced and unless the people remain vigilant then one more round where the left gains control of the Western nations there may be no road back. Should that become the reality then the Tytler Cycle of Power will advance and history teaches us that the cycle will not return to freedom for generations. The next decade or two will be determinative in the future we hand our children and their children for too many generations to be contemplated.

Israel Palestinian Peace Cannot be Negotiated the Same Old Ways

The Western ideal of negotiated settlement between the Arabs and Israel is not possible. The first rule is that the negotiations have nothing to do with a Palestinian state. As soon as Israel is destroyed, the surrounding Arab world will move into the areas dividing up the lands and slaughtering any Palestinian resisting their dividing up the long sought after spoils. There is no intention in the Arab world for a Palestinian state. Their only concern is Israel’s vaunted military power neutralized, and the Palestinians are the sacrificial lamb that disguises their snarling teeth in sheep’s clothing. The Israelis know this and the United States State Department knows this and anybody who has studied the Middle East knows this. Presidents of the United States knew this until recently as they had studied the wars with the Muslim Barbary Pirates starting with Thomas Jefferson and the wars pacifying the Muslim separatists by Blackjack Pershing in the Philippine Islands, a war that continues to this day against the Philippine government. But as has been stated, much to the shame of all, history has become the purview of nerds and misfits. Unfortunately knowledge of where we’ve been is not a prerequisite for leadership, a dearth and deficit which can only prove to be a great disadvantage as leading without a grounding in knowledge with a decent footing in history is taking the wheel of the ship of state ordering the rudder be removed. Perhaps we should have a campaign debate and hold a History Jeopardy debate with points et al; we might even get Alex Trebek.

The United States is in its Presidential sweepstakes in what is a wide open field as there will be no actual incumbent. Hillary Clinton will try to play the role of incumbent though the closest she really has been was out at the State Department or decorating the table with the staff for a State dinner where she would play arm candy, probably not her strong suit. Meanwhile there will be in the other contest one who will claim he is the Trump suit. The next runner-up we can feel the Bern or continue on Cruz control. Whatever the result the eventual candidates will never face questions which actually matter for the position of President of the world’s main super power, or at least potentially its main super power if their leaders so choose. There will be questions which would be better posed to those running for Senate and the House of Representatives as they presumably are charged to be the legislators of the domestic issues. The President has the position of presenting the United States to the world and presiding over the foreign policies and all negotiations. If a President has no knowledge of world affairs and history leading up to the present and the precedents set by such, they will fall into the trap of being completely dependent upon the bureaucrats from the State Department for their foreign policy. This would soon commit them to the failures of the past as the State Department is not as adaptable and is more invested in continuing that with which they are familiar and comfortable rather than working to effect change and adapting when challenges present themselves. Government or other establishment career bureaucrats are not exactly daring innovators as they are go along to get along let’s just do that which has worked in most other situations and stick to the book. When it comes to the Arab Israeli conflict the book is what has everything mired in the failures of the past. Past administrations have tried taking the Israeli side, putting space between the United States and Israel and even placing, as President Truman did in 1948-9, an arms embargo on Israel as they were at war with half a dozen Arab nations and expected to perish and none of these positions have brought peace. There has been one policy never attempted and never likely to be implemented but which would end the discussions at least for the foreseeable future. Let us attempt to see what it might be and wonder which of the current candidates would be most likely to implement such an approach.

We need to look back to the first ten to twelve years of Israeli history. The initial starting-point of the Arab Israeli conflict dates to dawn on a Shabbat morning, namely Saturday May 15, 1948. On that sunrise the nation of Israel was but hours old, had no functional government and only a provisional government holding power until formal election would be held. Such would have to wait as that dawn brought half a dozen Arab armies and various militias over her borders with a genocidal intent and the end of what was considered an insult to the superiority, preeminence and invulnerability of the Islamic world. It took over a year before the fighting drew to an obvious stalemate and armistice lines were drawn, today known as the Green Line and the Blue Line. The Blue Line serves as the accepted border between Israel and Lebanon. The Green Line separates the Arab Palestinian disputed areas and Israel. It needs to be understood that the Green Line was demanded by the Arab League to never be considered or used as a border as doing so was tantamount to recognizing the existence of the Jewish State of Israel, an anathema to Arab and Muslim pride and self-respect. The original borders recognized by the United Nations and decided by the General Assembly defaulted to the Jewish State when the Arab League refused to accept the evenly divided United Nations map leaving the lands undivided to Israel (see maps below).

If a President were ever to understand that Israel took the remainder of the lands and built a nation which is determined to not merely survive but thrive no matter the threats or challenges instead of believing the State Department line that the Jews stole Arab Muslim sacred lands, then he might actually try something more effective than the past failures. The Israelis desire peace but not at the expense of losing their nation and towards that end the promise of defendable borders needs to be the primary concern. The matter of Israel returning lands has been satisfied with the return of the Sinai Peninsula, an area many times the size of Israel itself, and the release of claims to Gaza which is now in the hands of murderous terrorist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad and other smaller families and splinter groups pledged to Islamic State, al-Qaeda and potentially others. These groups receive funds from the Muslim Brotherhood, Iran, Qatar and other Muslim and Arab sources and are equally threatening Egypt as they are Israel. Another fact glossed over were the nearly one million Jews dispossessed by their Arab and Muslim rulers who predominately came to Israel as refugees with barely any possessions and instead of placing them in camps and demanding the United Nations develop an agency with the singular responsibility of caring for them and their children and their children’s children into eternity or until they were permitted return to their former nations, they were welcomed and became functioning members of Israel and are today as vibrant and accepted as are every Israeli citizen and enjoy full rights. Another item glossed over is the numerous minorities such as Arabs, Christians, Muslims, Baha’I, Buddhists and virtually any other religious groups one might name who all have full rights as Israeli citizens including holding elective office, education, working and all other aspects while Israel’s neighbors cannot make the same claim about their Jewish citizens as they have none and the Arab Palestinians demand that any lands they eventually steal from the original borders of the Jewish State be completely cleansed of its Jews or they will annihilate them. This was put on its full and most gory display when two Israeli reservists made a wrong turn and ended up in Arab Palestinians areas. They were placed in the city jail in hopes of keeping them safe until they might be returned but the townspeople had a different idea. The police fled the building leaving them locked in the cells and the keys on the desk surrendering them to the mob which literally tore them limb from limb with one young teen making a display to the screaming joyous shouts of the crowd outside with the picture captured by a media photographer and secreted out and made public on newscasts worldwide as seen below.

Numerous peace offers and concessions have been made by Israel in exchange for promises and steps to follow, leading to peace yet every offer is pocketed and then peace is never forthcoming as in the end the Arab Palestinians walk away keeping every offer making it the required starting point. This had led to the now demand that Israel surrender half of Jerusalem and possibly even remove entire cities and manufacturing parks which employ Arab Palestinians as well as Jews in a state of equality and the Arabs receiving higher pay than even the Palestinian Authority average government employee. These are cities built in area C which originally was presented as remaining as a part of Israel and the Palestinian authority was forbidden building within yet now European governments and the European Union are buying exclusively lands in this area, building and bringing in Arabs to place facts on the ground and to force Israeli surrender of these areas which will leave Israel as vulnerable as she was in 1967 at the start of the Six Day War. This will only guarantee the next war and this time Israel might not be as fortunate as modern weapons are in every army in their area and combined the Arab nations easily have Israel outgunned and way outnumbered. Such a conflict might come down to the occurrence of a miracle rivalling the splitting of the sea. President Obama and Secretaries of State Clinton and Kerry have all demanded that the borders for Israel be based upon the 1949 Armistice Lines which the Arab League had demanded never serve as such. What has changed? The Arabs in numerous attempts have been unable to destroy Israel so they are now hoping to use this entity they invented of an Arab Palestinian different from their brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, parents and relatives in Jordan, Syria (or used to be in Syria), Egypt, Sudan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and beyond because they must be different so they can claim they are indigenous and thus have a claim to their reconstituted nation of Palestine. Problem is there has never been such a nation as we find out every so often when let slip the truth and one of the biggest was when in an interview where Zahir Muhsein, a PLO executive committee member, in a March 31, 1977 interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw stated for the record:

“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism.”
“For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa. While as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.”
As stated by Zahir Muhsein, a PLO executive committee member, in a March 31, 1977 interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw.

Perhaps the above quote should become required reading for those astute State Department career bureaucrats just so they can continue to consider themselves up to date and educated in the ways and machinations of the Middle East. The State Department has treated Israel as the land from Never Neverland which should be erased for the sake of peace and perchance restore Israel to her intended borders as per their existence on that Shabbat morning of Saturday May 15, 1948. There will be the cries that there are five or six or, who knows, seven million Arab Palestinian refugees. What will be left out is that these “refugees” have been living in actual apartment buildings and forced to be separate instead of allowed to be part of their parent country and were originally only slightly less than two-thirds of a million actual refugees originally. Put into a reference which is more appropriate, they were a few hundred thousand less than the eventual numbers of Jews expelled or driven from their homes across the Arab and Muslim worlds of MENA (Middle East and North Africa) and that a goodly number of them are in camps either in Jordan, the original Arab Palestinian land where three quarters of the population are considered to also be Arab Palestinians, Gaza mostly just outside Gaza City, and Area A of the West Bank right outside of Nablus where Mahmoud Abbas is having his pleasure palace, office of the President and troop barracks to keep him as President built (see picture below). Perhaps the original plan where the Arab nations were awarded for their almost defeating Israel and then losing all the lands back to Israel in successive wars to keep Area A and negotiate (but to be nice why not just surrender) Area B while Israel retains Area C as the Oslo Accords spelled out and end the whole affair and call it done. The disputed areas contained in Areas A and B were roadways which were to have shared usage but perhaps many of those could be easily surrendered as well and conditions made for Arabs in Areas A and B who already have positions in the companies remaining in Area C to keep such employment.

Mamoud Abbas planned masion estimated cosr of thirteen million dollars but will end up costing far more after required kickbacks

All of Jerusalem would remain as the Capital City of Israel, undivided, and open to people of every faith as it currently remains never to return to Islamic imperialism as was the case from 1948 until early June of 1967 when the Old City, Mount of Olives Cemetery and Temple Mount were liberated and forever to remain freely accessible to people of all faiths or even no faith. As for any Arabs who were considered Palestinians remaining in Area C or Jerusalem, they would be granted a path for Israel citizenship dependent on their refraining from terrorism by any family member or they could choose to have their property bought at a generous price and be granted a severance of residency awarded which would easily cover any moving and other relocation effects and be permitted to seek citizenship or residence outside of Israel with a promise to not return to Israel. Such individuals should be granted automatic residence in any Arab Palestinian state which emerges from Areas A and B in the future. Meanwhile the Palestinian Authority would remain as the ruling body until the framework for a real government will be forthcoming. If Mahmoud Abbas decides to continue as President for Life, well, that would be none of Israel’s business unless he also continued to instigate terror and allow attacks across the borders. That should be termed as a declaration of war and any persons crossing an international border to commit terrorist acts would face a military trial with potential capital punishment. That too should be stipulated though such should be understood. Any Arab Palestinians in camps should either be relocated to the Palestinian Areas or permitted to remain in their current apartments and be given a path to citizenship in the nation where they have already resided for two, three or even four generations. As for those driven from their camps after they joined the insurrection against Bashir al Assad, their lives have taken a dramatic turn and are now amongst the Syrian refugees and as indistinguishable as could be possible and many which may have survived are very likely somewhere in Europe seeking shelter and all that was sort of eluded to or promised by Angela Merkel and her fellow leaders in much of Scandinavia and Europe. We wish the refugees and their new found national homelands the best of luck in all things. Honest, we feel your pain but not enough to offer much else.

Red Flags Facing Israel in Every Direction

With Mahmoud Abbas one week threatening to quit and hand Netanyahu the keys and the next week announcing that the Palestinian Authority (PA) will be issuing Palestine Passports in six months, what is Israel to expect and react without appearing ridiculous? Perhaps that is the entire objective of Abbas’s schizophrenic actions. Then there is the situation with the European Union with their two pronged assault on Israel, one economic and the other territorial. The economic assault has been prevalent in the news with their vote demanding separate labeling of all products coming from east of the Green Line. This will next morph into a demand that any product with X percent, eventually becoming any amount even having a single item from east of the Green Line. The inevitable end result will be a complete embargo of all Israeli goods as a precaution of any part having come from the ‘Zone Which Must be Free of all Jews’ as the Great and Powerful European Union has so decreed.

The territorial assault has even been ruled illegal by courts but when you are ‘The Great and Powerful European Union’ such trivialities hold no power over their edicts of what must be as they said so. This territorial assault has been the European Union’s building of Arabs from within the PA areas homes and other structures and land from within Area C which the Oslo Accords reserved to be completely under Israeli control. The Oslo Accords stipulated three zones which the parties agreed to their stipulations. Area A was given to complete PA control, both security and administrative; Area B was given to joint security jurisdiction with PA having administrative control and Area C under complete security and administrative control. The intent of the Oslo Accords was for Area A to result as an Arab state, Area C was to be annexed into Israel upon settlement and Area B was to be negotiated between the two parties, the PA and Israel. The whole idea of the Green Line which was actually the armistice line drawn when the combined seven Arab nations’ armies were unsuccessful in their efforts to completely eradicate the nascent Jewish State during the hostilities during 1948 and 1949. During this war which Israel euphemistically calls its War of Independence, the war was initiated by the aforementioned Arab armies which were perched on the Israeli borders, the current borders with Lebanon and Egypt, all of the Gaza Strip, and along the eastern shores of the Jordan River as these were the determined borders from the British Mandate and reconfirmed by the United Nations. The so-called occupied territories or disputed territories were according to all treaties including those signed by the Arab League by King Farouk recognizing the Jordan River as the legal and internationally recognized eastern border of Israel. So that raises the question of exactly who is occupying whose lands?

Should there be any moves by the PA to declare a state in any parts of Judea and Samaria, the actual given name throughout history of the so-called West Bank, other than in Area A, and especially and expressly in Area C, that would be tantamount to a declaration of war as that would entail taking lands which are considered to still be contested. This was what their rioting and forced occupying of almost all of Hevron as well as every desecration of Jewish holy sites and structures such as the ancient synagogues which they claim will destroy the al-Aksa Mosque despite there being miles from the Temple Mount and some not even located within Jerusalem. These accusations of Israeli or Jewish attempts or even intentions to destroy Islamic holy sites is one of the best and most egregious examples of projection as this has been their modus operandi exampled by their numerous desecrations of Kever Yoseph (Joseph’s Tomb) and destructive excavations on the Temple Mount destroying antiquities from the last three thousand plus years of Jewish artifacts. This has been proven beyond any shadow of a doubt by the finds made in Operation Sifting which is an attempt to salvage even the smallest of antiquities out of the rubble piles where the crushed remains dug from beneath the Temple Mount by PA excavations.

Then there are the constant terror attacks which are either not given any coverage by the world’s media or is given such a slanted and misleading coverage as to be beyond credulity. An example comes from a stabbing attack near the Old City’s Yafo Gate from yesterday where the Arab attackers murdered one Israeli, severely injured a second Israeli and one Israeli was accidently shot and killed when Border Police officers were attempting to end the attack in which one of the attackers was killed and the other injured and taken into custody. The coverage was so slanted that Israeli officials have felt it necessary to register complaints over the network slanting of the news. CNN reported the attack reporting there were four dead without differentiating between attackers and victims with a banner stating “four dead in violent stabbing at Jaffa Gate” but CBS was not to be outdone in this false implications when their screen titles with two strangely amorphous or simply misleading as with the initial title. CBS began coverage with the title “2 Palestinians killed after stabbing attack in Jerusalem” and later changed to read “2 Israelis dead after stabbing attack in Jerusalem; 2 Palestinian Assailants Killed” which was slightly less ambiguous or misleading but there is no excusing the initial reporting title. These are far from the first of the litany of misleading titles and reports with one of the more famous the Jerusalem reporter on a split screen reporting that the Arab ‘Palestinian’ shot dead was running unarmed and definitely did not have a knife which he reported repeatedly even after being told that the video was in the split screen and it showed the Arab charging baring a knife over his head in his raised hand and still the on the scene reporter refused to change his slanted reporting. This was so telling of who and how reports from Israel and especially reports from areas where terrorism is a definite threat and the average Western, especially European, reporters feed their feelings of trepidation hiring local reporters willing to report from these ‘dangerous’ locations which more often than not are Arabs and too often they have a slanted view which taints their reports. This sits just fine as the reporters themselves find such reporting believable and in tune with their line of reporting, thus much of Europe and the world, especially those relying on the BBC, AFP, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and even at times and becoming more prevalent with FOX, are receiving slanted news on which they then base their feeling on the conflicts in Israel. They are all guilty of slanted reporting which is far more often than not against Israel and supporting the ‘under dogs’ Arabs despite their being supported by the entirety of the Arab world, much of the Muslim world, and by many from Europe and other Western nations and solidly by the European Union. Even the leftist media in Israel is just as guilty as any in the international arena.

Since the Duma arson attack and the following detention and rumored mistreatment of even some minors in efforts to force confessions and fortunately there will be a trial which will hopefully bring into public review exactly what techniques were used to gain any confessions or not get a confession from many who still might be called to attest to the methods used. If the rumors which have circulated turn out to be true, then waterboarding would have been hazing compared to the techniques used here which came closer to the methods of Tomás de Torquemada. Where we would prefer to keep my faith and belief that the state is honorable and would not act in any way dishonorably which is something the recent reviews by a select board of former and active commanders and select officers who are responsible for similar review of troops in combat who reviewed the past war in Gaza which presented a report which lauded the IDF actions and gave special note to the review internal to the IDF and their review procedures in cases of accusations or internal reporting of misuse of power or other abuses. We will need to wait and see what develops but an open and transparent review would go a long way to belay our doubts and fears.

There is one thing that we feel great embarrassment and sorrow when we hear about acts of violence by fellow Jews against other Jews especially as well as when such violence is directed at Arabs who are innocent of any aggressions against Jews as such actions work against any possibility of settling our differences peaceably. If it proves out that Jews were behind the Duma arson attack which murdered an entire family, we support the prosecution to the highest charges and highest sentencing upon a conviction for each offender. Equally important, if it proves that no Jews were found to be guilty and that evidence points elsewhere that Israel not permit the PA to whitewash an investigation and do whatever is within their abilities to find and bring the actual perpetrators to justice just as they would prosecute any Jew responsible for such a horrendous crime. Any crime of such viciousness must be researched and investigated to the utmost depth and chase down every potential lead until every last detail is known and all involved are persecuted. There is no reason for murdering an infant and an entire family no matter what the reasons and those involved must be brought to justice. The same needs to go for these terrorists who have been attacking Israelis need to be brought to justice and made to serve their entire term ending these releases just to have Abbas and friends kick us in the face for yielding to his demands. We, meaning all of Israel are fed up with the world always demanding Israel make concessions until we have no concessions left, period. How about instead of asking Abbas for some promise he never plans to keep or honor, we simply demand that he state explicitly exactly what terms would he be willing to accept for an end to all hostilities and borders such solution would demand to satisfy all the Arab demands.

Perhaps having Abbas advertise exactly what terms would be acceptable to him would finally present the real reason there has been no peace and there can never be peace as long as Abbas or any of his minions are involved with the peace process as they refuse the process and demand all or nothing. It is time they were told either they compromise or they will receive nothing and be removed from power along with all the rest of the people behind thus intransigence allowing calmer and more reasoned and rational minds to come to the fore who can reach a compromise. If they also prove unable to make peace, they too can face the same answer as above and continue the willowing until somebody is found willing to reach a fair peace. The only solution to the Arab Israeli situation will require honesty from the Arabs, their speaking honestly, and finally the settlement of the Arab Israeli conflict which will require a desire from the Arabs and reasonable demands from the Arabs otherwise Israel will be left with little choice but to reclaim all the presumably contested lands which were recognized at the time of her birth with her eastern border being the Jordan River and not the Armistice lines reached with the Arab world after the six plus national armed forces stood ready to do battle the morning of her independence where Israel managed to survive losing much of Judea and all of Samaria to Jordan who occupied these lands from May 1948 through June 1967 when Israel regained these lost lands and has been attempting to manage a peace treaty with the Arabs who remain intransigent, refusing to compromise on their maximalist demands. Until the Arabs compromise, they should be made to lose land and eventually their continuing to refuse to compromise from their demand to replace Israel choosing to fund a terrorist state over a normative functioning state, then they will destroy any hope of there having a functioning state, there will only be the functioning state of Israel.
