Why Am I not All That Worried?

Everyday I hear a similar question in several parts. Perhaps writing articles here at Beyond the Cusp makes them believe I actually know and understands what is going on in the world and especially in Israel. It might also be my record of making predictions which have a great amount of veracity and often coming true almost exactly. Whatever the reason, I realize these questions are posed hoping I can ease their minds or accurately warn them when to start to worry and make plans accordingly. The first part of the question is worded something like, is a war coming in the near term? This is usually followed by asking for clarification as to where. This is when I have had to provide some not so great news. The reason is that Hamas in Gaza in the south has stated that they will join in any war should Israel engage with Hezballah in Lebanon to the north while Hezballah has promised to join any war Israel might engage with Hamas. The answer is it matters little where the next conflict starts, it probably, thanks to orders from Iran, will encompass a two-front war against both Hamas (with Islamic Jihad) in the south and Hezballah in the north. This, fortunately, may not matter for the remainder of this year as my feelings are that there will not be any all-encompassing conflict, or this is my wishful thinking.

There have been a slowly increasing escalation from out of Lebanon and Syria where Hezballah and the IRGC are aiding Syrian forces loyal to Bashir al-Assad along with Russian air and defensive support. The escalations by these forces have gone from single or twin drones to a drone swarm and single rockets to multiple rocket launches and the use of guided anti-aircraft missiles against ground vehicles. Hamas in Gaza use rocket launchers, anywhere from two or three to as many as a dozen or two. On both fronts, the Iron Dome has intercepted the majority of these projectiles projected to strike populated regions at an unreal excellence and proficiency. There have been threats made after every exchange with Hezballah always making the claim that Israel started everything and thus they will respond to the Israeli belligerence. The only problem with their claims is that the exchanges are almost if not always initiated by Hezballah or Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Hamas also has their weekly, of more accurately daily, rioting along the border replete with launching of kites, balloons and the occasional drone with explosives and incendiary packages aimed for the destruction of Israel. They love the land so much they are willing to completely destroy everything such that nobody can use the region. These are the situations which many in our circles are concerned about, even to the point where it dominates conversation more than the coming election, but not more than the general banter which makes leaving the house worthwhile.

To the best of my discernment, many in our circles are displaying a level of tenseness and apprehension noticeably higher than usual. They claim that my lack of uneasiness with what I write and apparently obsession with the news cycle is unexplainable, even considering that I do not believe a war is inevitable this summer or until late next spring. Tomorrow morning, I fully expect to have this conversation within fifteen minutes of meeting the first of my regular circle leading to the same reaction of head shaking and pressing their feelings of ill-at-ease adding an, are you sure, to the conversation. If I am fortunate, others will not overhear our conversing as that almost inevitably brings others echoing the same questions and disbelief and even some expressing concern for my levels of sanity. I always assure them that I am still as unbalanced as ever. The upside of this tense situation surrounding us guarantees that people will want to converse so they can ask and be reassured that there is nothing coming in the immediate time-frame as none of the enemies of Israel desire having everything they own broken and having to wait for Iran to smuggle in a resupply of the necessary components for their rockets and drones. Outside events often supercharge the conversation and the number of scenarios discussed and presented as reasons why I am confused and unfounded in holding such an optimistic, almost Pollyannaish, attitude regarding the danger level around the threats which are thrown around weekly if not daily some weeks. Between Nasrallah boasting of the competence and preparedness of the Hezballah military units being capable of returning the Galilee to Lebanese control, read as Arab control, from the occupation by the Zionist Entity and Yahya Sinwar who leads Hamas insisting that the Friday (and often other days just peeking on Fridays) rioting will continue until the occupation by the Zionist Entity has been destroyed, we are pretty much guaranteed two to five threats each week depending on the need to distract the people from their poor governance. When one includes spokespersons from Islamic Jihad, commanders of the IRGC, Iran itself and Mahmoud Abbas and the rest of the Palestinian Authority (read PLO) circus all coming at the same demands, that the Jews take their rightful subjugation by their Islamic superiors, we seldom go two days without some threat raising concerns.

Hezballah is a terror army with all the abilities of the Lebanese Army in addition to their own forces as two-thirds of the Lebanese Army are members of Hezballah or sympathizers and thus do pose a credible threat. The IRGC is a second military fielded by Iran and are Islamic hardliners with radical beliefs. They are well trained and receive the same if not better equipment than the Iranian Army. This provides them with all the same capabilities as the Iranian Army with the possible restriction of less air support. Add in the Iranian Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei with his and the Iranian fanatics chants each Friday after religious services screaming, “Death to America, Death to Israel,” there is an additional guarantee for my conversation. The way I figure things, if there really was a threat of a war coming in the near period, they would have displayed a far higher rate of increase in the attacks and terrorism. There was the latest attack by Hezballah where they fired anti-aircraft guidable missiles at an IDF base targeting the vehicles and striking a field ambulance which could be claimed was an attempted escalation, almost, as they struck a converted Merkava I battle tank, which are obsolete as a main battle tank but make for a far safer ambulance for the rescue of injured soldiers in an active battle scenario, and claimed they had injured numerous IDF soldiers and claimed possible fatalities. The entire scene at this base was set up with mannequins which were evacuated as if being actual injuries. After Hezballah made their bombastic claims, IDF spokespeople revealed the reality that no Israeli was injured or killed and that the entire exchange was a trap which Hezballah took the bait, hook, line and sinker.

Still, the situation which Israel faces on a daily basis is serious and threatening. In the Middle East, threatening is the natural condition, and not just between Israel and her neighbors. Syria is in the midst of a long-running civil war, Iraq is fighting its own Kurdish citizens in the north securing the northern routs for Iran to provide supplies, forces and weaponry for the IRGC, Hezballah and forces fighting supporting Bashir al-Assad, Yemen is in a civil war with the Houthis attempting to overthrow the elected government with Iranian support provided by both the IRGC and Hezballah forces, the Jordanian King is facing the threat of massive unrest from the Arab Palestinians plus all the other conflicts surrounding the MENA nations and the remainder of the world. This is also another reason why I doubt that there will be any conflict this year. Iran is behind almost half of the conflicts in the Middle East. The other violence is mostly Islamic forces attacking those of Animist, Christian or other non-Islamic faith across central Africa in the Transition Zone (see map below). There are also conflicts between India and Pakistan as well as the civil unrest on Mindanao in the Philippines among other regions of strife. With most of the Arab and Islamic world facing internal as well as external conflicts, Israel has become less of an issue throughout their world.

This lowering of the level of concern and hatred against Israel as there exists an even more menacing threat, Iran. This has sent Saudi Arabia and many Gulf States to form an almost speaking relationship with Israel. There is far less mention of the Zionist Entity and threats with an exception for the Imams whose entire repertoire consists of hating Israel and Jews. This has caused the uninitiated to express their prediction that Israel will ally with Egypt and Saudi Arabia in order to counter the Iranian threat. Put absolutely no credence in this theme as everything will revert back to hate for the Zionist Entity as soon as Iran ceases to threaten the Sunni Islamic world. Simply put, take Iran out of the equation and the Sunni world will return to their emphasizing the destruction of the Zionist Entity and the return of the region to Arab Islamic rule, their defined norm for not only Israel but to the remainder of the world. Islam has a very simple definition for the world. They divide the world into two camps, Dar al-Islam and Dar al-Harb; being defined as the world of Islam and the world of war respectively. Making this slightly more complicated, the Sunni Muslims and the Shia Muslims each consider the other to be heretics and thus part of Dar al-Harb. This also explains the high level of animosity between the Sunni Arab states and Shiite Iran. With Iran actively holding heavy sway over Iraq and their total control of Lebanon through Hezballah and Syria where they are assisting al-Assad defeat his opposition for control of Syria; this forms what many refer to as the Shiite Crescent and has all but encircled Saudi Arabia potentially explaining their sudden affections for Israel, the sole military which is capable of restraining Iran from doing whatever they please.

There is one other reason that we doubt that there will be a war this year, and this includes elections. We can gladly say that the Israeli elections are not the main criteria but the 2020 American elections. Iran is aware that should they be caught pressing for a war anywhere in the Middle East, even Israel, then President Trump would have a free ticket to pose a massive assault on Iran destroying their nuclear program and military ability. As long as after hitting Iran and dealing them a definitive and debilitating strike President Trump departs Iran, then this would leave the rebuilding and possible selecting new governance for the people to do as they see fits them best. Should Iran return to being ruled by a governance nearly identical to their current theocracy, then they would face the same policies from the Trump administration. If the Iranians built a representative governance and called for recognition and relations with the rest of the world, this might be accomplished once their new governance was solidly in place, a constitution or similar document designed and order restored allowing for free and open elections, then perhaps Iran might join the rest of the world. This would require their disbanding the IRGC, ending all support for Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezballah and all other terrorist organizations, ceasing their support and control over Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen and liberalizing their civil laws allowing for greater human rights and other freedoms. Then the Middle East could return to their natural positions of complete and total rejection of Israel. This would work to relieve some of the terrorist threats on Israel, but all of them would remain and simply be seeking new backers such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Saudi Arabian entities and other support even to include the European Union, United Nations with accompanying agencies, European nations and others around the world. Things would take a while to settle into whatever the new conditions would become, and things would become more unstable as the terrorist groups would start to compete with one another while seeking funding and support. This would make things unsettled and far more dangerous and quite possibly could press a war with Israel to prove they are the real and true threat to the Jewish State. That is the Middle East, “It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma,” the description Winston Churchill gave in a radio broadcast in October 1939 talking about the actions the Russians might take in World War II.

Iran Does Not Want War with America; Really?

Well, actually, Iran does not want war with America…….now. Iran does desire an excuse to have a war which includes the fleets off of their shores, but they have a deeper desire which allows for this as simply a necessity. Their current desire is to fight America in their region while using such a conflict in order to instigate a war with Israel. Iran intends to replace the United States and any other contenders for the hegemonic power in the world. Iranian leadership actually sees one main obstacle to their initial steps in their hope to eventually be a world power and leader of the allied world. Please do not believe that only the United States and other powers are able to forge coalitions, Iran also seeks to form a coalition which will grant them hegemony over the Middle East and control of the oil within. Iran also seeks to gain control over the Islamic holy cities, Mecca and Medina, currently under Saudi control. Iran desires to take the Saudi, Kuwaiti and Gulf States oil fields as well as taking the region where Saudi Arabia borders on the Red Sea giving them control over Mecca and Medina. Their reasoning behind this place is plainly obvious, they would have control of approximately one-third of the world’s oil supplies, take over being the protector of the holy cities of Mecca and Medina and remove the claim to power held by the Saudi Royal Family, who claim to be the protectors of the holy cities, Mecca and Medina. But the true Iranian desire is to completely destroy Israel and being able to claim they restored the rule of Allah in Jerusalem (al Quds). This is one of the two main reasons for the Iranian involvement in Syria backing Bashar al-Assad. The other reason is to gain and retain control over Damascus, the third actual city in the Islamic hierarchy of metropolitan areas which have holiness. For the Iranians and all other Shiite Muslims, the city of Qom is also amongst the holiest places on Earth. Qom is the location where the Twelfth Imam is supposed to return after, shall we say, a rather lengthy absence from the scene. This Imam disappeared and went into hiding towards the end of the initial violence between Sunni Islam and the new offshoot, Shia Islam. The rumor being that he hid deep in a well and is to return and lead Shiite Islam to their rightful world domination. This well is in Qom, Iran.

Most of the Western Media and almost all of the heavily anti-Israel world media are touting Iran as the coming savior which will finally eradicate that Zionist monstrosity at the east end of the Mediterranean Sea, Israel. All one need do is listen to almost any of the regularly held Friday afternoon hate-fests, an even very reminiscent of the 1984 Two Minutes of Hate, just more drawn out. These demonstrations are often accompanied with the burning of Israeli and American flags as well as the burnings of Bibi Netanyahu and Donald Trump in effigy. These are often accompanied by chants of, “Death to Israel,” and, “Death to America.” These demonstrations are often attended by numerous high-ranking Iranian politicians, including those the West labels as moderate, and even the Supreme Leader who has been known to lead these chants of hate and spite towards the developed world. Iranian leaders often make allusions to their former glory years as Persia while continuing to persecute those people who continue to follow the ancient religious practices of the Zoroastrianism. Their relating their greatness to ancient Persia while continuing to imprint the Islamic conqueror’s Islamic faith is very much part of their having fully adopted this conquering faith of Islam. Iran not only has accepted Islam as the replacement for the ancient Persian faiths but have adopted the less followed Islamic cult of Shia Islam.

The first idea for supremacism under Shia Islam is the conquest of the Islamic world. The Iranian Mullahs view the destruction of Israel and the eradication of the Jewish faith as their ticket to Islamic prevalence. They believe that if they can become the party of Islam which destroys Israel that the remaining Muslims in the world will suddenly awaken to the supremacy of Shia Islam. It is their belief that they are the one, and definitely not Saudi Arabia, whose leaders they label as apostates, or Egypt which they see as far too nationalistic. Whenever others claim that Iran is also following a supremacist conquest of the Middle East, the fig leaf applied to their nurturing conquest being that of the purification of Islam. Iran sees itself as the Martin Luther of Islam and leading the revolution against the tired and former glories of Sunni Islamic conquest and replacing them with the more energetic and purist Shiite Islam and then from replacing Saudi Arabia and Egypt they see an easy path claiming their supremacy throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa. Their intent then with the destruction of Israel is on a par with their desires to replace Egypt and Saudi Arabia as the nation at the fore of Islam, Islamic thought, Islamic belief and Islamic teachings. Because they are the ones who have been chosen to lead Islam and the future world, their initial test is to destroy Israel, take the Saudi Oil Fields, replacing the Saudi Royal family as the guardians of the two sacred cities and taking over Egypt and converting these Muslims to Shiite Islam from which the rest of the Islamic world will no doubt see the light. With such conquests under their belts, they believe the entirety of the remaining Islamic followers will fall behind their leadership and place them as the true Islamic leaders leaving behind the centuries under Sunni Islam and joining its main rival. This would then be followed by a rewriting of the various Islamic historical thought with supremacist Sunni ideology.

Currently, the leaders of Iran view Israel as one of the protectors of Sunni Islam as they view Israel as allied with and protecting Saudi Arabia and the plethora of other peoples and forces that the Iranians are currently engaged. The Mullahs often blame Israel for their setbacks in replacing Sunni Islam with Shia Islam. The disagreement and war between Sunni and Shia Islam are almost as old as the Islamic faith. Their split, as many such dichotomies are, is over who was the rightful heir to Muhammad with each side choosing a different individual and their family lineage on to the current separate leaderships across the Muslim world. Iran also intends to not only impose their version of a perfect form of Islam traceable all the way back to Muhammad, but to replace all religious belief in the world with Shiite Islam providing those they conquer the choice of Islam or a very hurried trip to the world beyond life. These efforts by Iran currently spread across Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, Syria, Lebanon and beyond, reaching far beyond the constraints of the Islamic world. Iran has implemented a structure of military control whereby they can use their IRGC military assets to foment terror across the globe and spreading their influence across Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and beyond to the Tri-Border Region in South America with the hopes and visions to spread Shiite Islam further. It is the Iranian intent to use this region as their jumping-off point from which to conquer the Americas striking at the United States through its southern borders. Iran and their Hezballah proxy have already been caught attempting to slip terror forces into the United States across her southern borders.

One of the major fronts developing in the Middle East involves Iran and the United States. Thus far, Iran has been the one initiating a conflict almost as if they relish a chance to prove their superiority over the United States who they largely blame along with the British for the existence of Israel. They blame the British for allowing Israel in the first place and the United States presumably for allying with Israel from her inception. Beyond recognition of the Jewish States, American aid and support did not start until the 1970’s. But what is one more lie amongst the myriad of lies piled up by the forces of the world against the Jewish State. Review the logs of the United Nations and her various agencies and one will find Israel as the primary target by the remainder of the world and the Iranian fervor and fire used when referring to the country of Israel. Iran is the primary supporter for Hamas, Hezballah, Bashir al-Assad, Islamic Jihad and numerous other forces which are allied together for the destruction of Israel. Iran does not desire there be a resolution and instead desires to replace continued warfare across the Middle East as conflict and confusion are two of the best weapons used by Iran and her forces with confusion as their favorite weapon behind which there is always their blanket of misinformation placing all blame upon their enemies and espousing their victim status as the offended party only there to defend their good and peaceful name and version of Islam, Shia Islam. Iran couches their claims within the various quotes from within the Quran which denounces the Jews and their Sunni enemies while claiming that Iran is forming the new Caliphate, once Iran manages to convert the bulk of Islam to their way of thinking.

Iran believes they can win any conflict with the United States in the Middle East theaters of operation. They also believe that Israel is unable to stand on her own were the United States forced to flee the region after realizing the foremost capacities of the Iranian forces and their masterful superiority. Funny how delusions of greatness almost inevitably lead to one’s downfall. Such is particularly valid when selling the United States short just as has been proven by scoffing at the abilities of Israel. Iran has intentionally placed themselves on the wrong side of both of these fronts and has of late been attempting to force a confrontation in the region’s waters with the American fleets. Their method has been to disable ships passing through the Straits of Hormuz while not sinking them, yet. Despite their intent to simply give the United States a bloody nose and sending them whimpering from the Middle East, their bluster and methods are more likely to lead to a direct and immediate confrontation with America. The main reason such has yet to begin is a credit to the patience of America and not to any careful planning by Iran.

Contrary to Iranian claims and the anti-Trump politics in America that it is the United States seeking a confrontation, it has been the patience and desire to avoid all-out war by President Trump which have thus far avoided such a conflict. When Iran pressed a confrontation shooting down an American drone presumably, and likely, in international airspace, it was President Trump who made the final decision to recall the American strike. Rumors have circulated of a difference of opinion over responding militarily and with strength put forward by John Bolton and Trump’s hopes to force negotiations without forcing direct confrontation being at the forefront of United States Iranian policies. President Trump seeks to use sanctions and other pressures to force Iran to the negotiation table that is becoming the primary American policy which we fear Iran will interpret as weakness and inevitably leading to the conflict Trump desires to avoid. Iran will likely eventually attack either shipping through the Straits of Hormuz or upon the American fleets, specifically an aircraft carrier, the stated preferred target by Iran, which could very easily light off the violence which has a great potential for breaking out. This is the unfortunate but likely end result of this face-off over the Iranian nuclear program. Iran is currently backing out of all their presumed obligation in the Iran Nuclear Deal which Europe and Iran remain signatories through the United Nations which is threatening to provoke conflict. Iran recently announced their intent to return to uranium enrichment to twenty-percent which is the greatest threat. Such enrichment in quantity can only be for a singular purpose, the manufacture of nuclear weapons. As Iran most certainly already posses the technology to produce such weapons and that they probably already possess a number of nuclear weapons which should worry the world and not the fact that President Trump pulled out of an agreement which would have most certainly led to a nuclear armed Iran with as many weapons as they are able to produce. Further, the Iranian leaders, both political and military, though there is little difference between the two, in which they claimed that they would sacrifice their entire nation if they are able to take Israel and the United States down with themselves. This is the same frightening position taken by Japan in the Pacific theater which led to the devastating battles during World War II. Iran has even invited the onset of World War III if that is what is required to end their perceived American and Israeli hegemony in the world.

It is the supremacist view of the Iranian Mullahs which will force any confrontation and eventually President Trump will run out of patience which will force a response to some future Iranian provocation. When such eventuality forces the confrontation, we will witness the Iranians complaining that it was the United States which forced this confrontation because they refused to comply with Iranian demands. This has been the Mullahs playbook from the onset of this situation and in other cases of the past such as their violent putting down of the Green Revolution in 2009. They blame their adversaries for starting the violence when mostly they were unarmed, as in the Green Revolution which was largely peaceful protests which were set upon by IRGC forces and Basenji militias. The same will come whenever the Iranians push the envelope too far and the United States responds. The claim will be that Iran was simply safeguarding their own waters and the United States violations of Iranian waters or airspace and not the Iranian assaults which will have set off the conflict. One needs to keep in mind that Iran claims that all of the Straits of Hormuz as their waterway which set off the last burst of conflict between the United States and Iran. This time promises to be of little difference. IRGC naval commanders have already claimed that the United States has parked their carrier fleets in Iranian waters. Such would be preposterous if it were not so serious. The American fleets are nowhere near the Iranian shores but Iran is claiming that the United States has no right to have fleets anywhere in the Persian Gulf or Arabian Sea as these are all part of Iranian sovereignty. Iran will continue to press and prick at the United States until a conflict is the only means of ending the stalemate. This will be the point that Iran will order their forces around Israel to begin what they claim will be the destruction of Israel within hours. This will entail rockets and other military assaults from Hezballah in Lebanon, the IRGC in Syria and Hamas with Islamic Jihad from Gaza very probably aided with ballistic missiles fired from Iran and potentially Iraq upon Israel most likely targeting Tel Aviv primarily. When Israel responds, Iran will blame Israel for starting any further conflict as the proper response in their minds would be for Israel to surrender to the presumed superior Islamic forces and come begging and whimpering for their Islamic betters to be kind and allow them to just enjoy their protections. Iran has already made numerous jabs at Israel using rockets, drones and tunneling under the border to which Israel has responded with care not to force the situation beyond each insult. When Israel responds to these aggressions, the Iranian leaders immediately claim that Israel is pushing for a war with Iran despite the fact that Israel has not fired a single weapon into Iranian lands. It is Iran that has placed forces in Syria, armed and trained Hezballah in Lebanon and is currently doing all they can to further arm Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza. Israel has remained within her borders even when striking back at the Iranian missile launchers and artillery in Syria firing their missiles from aircraft still in Israeli airspace. But Iran will not be satisfied until they have provoked a war with Israel and presumably the United States. Our hope is that the Iranian people can be saved from these militaristic, supremacist belligerents. This might also prove to be the best step for saving the world from a future heavily armed nuclear Iran choosing the when and where they begin their intentioned war for the proper conquest of the world by Shia Islam of which they are its ruling elites and proper world rulers if the rest of us only knew what was best for us.

Defending Israel at the United Nations

One would be led to believe that the United Nations is the place where differences between nations and interests could be ironed out and everybody could be heard. This is the concept which is taught in schools where the United Nations is touted to be a place of peace and discourse. Unfortunately, this is only the case when you are presenting information which complies with the desired outcomes. Should you try and defend a nation which the rest of the delegates, or at least a plurality, find disturbing or unacceptable, then your microphone is cut off or you are talked over by the chair and protesting members until your time is spent and you are silenced. The quickest means of proving this theory is defending Israel before the General Assembly or almost any of the plethora of United Nations agencies. This problem almost all defenders of Israel face when attempting to present facts and other evidence. This is especially true before the Human Rights Council, UNESCO, the General Assembly and any group which is chaired or predominated by Arab, Islamic and the other nations supporting their view of Israel as the sole source of all the world’s problems. This is evidenced clearly as Anne Bayefsky attempted to present facts which countered those presented by Professor Michael Lynk whose claim was that Israel had used deadly force against peaceful, innocent Gazan demonstrators who were posing no threat to the IDF or Israel (video below). If we are required to prove that the Gaza demonstrations were more accurately described as rioting with the intent of breaking through the border and attacking Israeli civilians and that the Gazan demonstrators were launching kites and balloons which carried incendiary and explosive charges which caused tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars in damages to fields of crops, forests and wildlife preserves including threatening the nesting areas for endangered species, then we may as well be attempting to address the United Nations. We expect our readers to have read sufficiently to know that the Gaza border has been a year of challenges where tens to hundreds of thousands of tires were burned to cause smokescreens to hide attempts to breach the border fence as well as hide snipers who were approaching the border and shooting at the IDF positions.

This experience is not all that different than what occurs regularly throughout the United Nations and its related agencies. A similar response can be witnessed by watching whenever any Israeli official, be it the United Nations Ambassador or the Israeli Prime Minister who is addressing the General Assembly. Just watch the audience and delegates and the vast majority will stand and leave choosing not to hear what will be presented. They do not care about hearing the Israeli side as their minds are already made up and Israel is to blame for whatever is being discussed. Nothing Israel does, nothing Israel stands for, nothing regarding Israel and reality matter at the United Nations. The United Nations is, in its current format where dictatorships and Islamic nations rule the roost, made up of nations who hate Israel, the United States, Capitalism and freedom. The easiest motion to pass before the United Nations General Assembly is one denouncing Israel for whatever reason one may decide is their fault. Almost as easy is doing the identical motion against the United States. The main difference is that a few additional Europeans will denounce Israel than are willing to side against the United States. This might have something to do with their reliance on American military might for their own protection. What they fail to realize is that Israel also is fighting the war to allow freedom to continue and for people to gain from the technological know-how of the United States, Israel and the remainder of the free world from whence the vast majority of new developments, inventions, agricultural advances, medical accomplishments and an entire litany of other development and improvements which largely come from the free world.

The United Nations predominantly consists of socialist dictatorships where the people are left scratching out a meager existence while their elites enjoy the good life. What is depressing is that many of these nations are recipients of Israeli aid in a number of different means. Israel is often the first nation to arrive after a natural disaster and the last to leave, the first to provide agricultural technology to the farmers and villages to assist their growing of crops, a nation which shares medical advancements, trains their physicians, provides their hospitals with the equipment required by these trained physicians, provides electrical generation for remote villages, provides phone connectivity for these villages, provides clean water technology relieving what in many cases is a shortage forcing them to drink contaminated water and various other services all provided with no expectation of reward. Not expecting any reward is actually an advantage as these same nations, because of their leaders, vote to condemn Israel regularly. This is true of places where without Israeli aid arriving, as it did after natural disasters, would have faced an even more dire situation where many more would have died such as in Haiti (see video below). The second video below is about a dancer named George who lost one leg after the Haitian earthquake and who was brought to Israel and outfitted with a prosthetic which allowed him to return to his beloved profession. He is a great dancer. Yet, at the most recent in the United Nations, Haiti was not amongst the seven nations which sided with the United States and Israel. The seven nations were Guatemala, Honduras, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, and Togo. That was with one-hundred-twenty-eight against Israel with thirty-five abstaining. This is, unfortunately, about the normative number of votes concerning Israel over the past thirty to forty years.

The United Nations has, in the past, gone to the extreme of equating Zionism with racism. This absurdity was eventually overturned, but expects it to return in the not too distant future. There is one item about Israel which makes her stand apart from most other nations. Israel is always ready to provide aid to any nation suffering a natural or manmade disaster with the sole proviso that the nation accepts Israeli aid. Iran suffered a devastating earthquake not that long ago and the Israeli IDF disaster relief units were on standby with their planes packed and ready to assist. The Iranian leadership refused to permit Israeli aid to be delivered to the stricken area. Iran also mostly ignored the trauma and devastated lives of her own citizens. This was actually mourned within Israel, as these people need not have suffered nearly as much as they ended up going through. Israel provided aid to the United States after Hurricane Katrina and Super Storm Sandy. Unfortunately, Israel does not have a cure in her basket for the United Nations and their hatred of the Jewish State. No other nation faces such scorn and spite at the United Nations though the United States does come in closest at second. We feel quite assured that if the United Nations could vote Israel out of existence, they would do so tomorrow with no regrets. Of course, they would probably act similarly towards the United States and potentially Canada, Britain and any number of other developed nations. It is as if being a developed nation whose people enjoy a decent level of economic prosperity that such a nation is to be scorned and brought down instead of other nations marveling and doing everything in their power to emulate such success. But many of these dictatorial regimes desire to bring everyone down to their level such that they can point to the rest of the world and ask their own people where is an example that doing things differently would change anything. That is one of the sadnesses of the world today, there are so many ready to destroy those who have succeeded simply so as to make their failure appear to be norm. That is quite counterproductive.

Display of the Muslim Nations of the World in the Middle East, Asia and Northern Africa in Green with Israel depicted in Red

Take a quick glance at the above map. Should the claim by much of the Arab and Muslim worlds be accurate, then Israel should have become the most noticeable nation on the map by size and not because it is the sole one in red. The Arab world in particular likes to claim that Israel is an expansionist, colonial, destructive nation which is taking over the entirety of the Arab world which spans the Middle East and Northern Africa. They claim that Israel simply desires to gobble up their entire area and that they are all but helpless against Israel, this hegemonic power in their midst. Well, if Israel is a hegemonic power, then the world had best be very wary of Belize as it is taking over the Americas. Both claims are equally ridiculous and, believe it or not, Belize is actually larger than Israel. Israel would be overly happy to simply be granted the area which was promised her under the British Mandate. Originally, Israel was to be formed out of the British Mandate lands but the British had a promise to keep with the Arabs. The result is the lands were divided between the Arabs and Jewish state with the Jordan River as the divide. The 78% of the lands east of the river went for the Arab state of Jordan while the entire 22% was supposed to be for the Jewish state. This has never been permitted to come to fruition. When the invading Arab armies of 1948-9 ended up holding areas of Judea and Samaria, the Shomron (West Bank) and Gaza by Jordan and Egypt respectively, the world allowed them to retain these lands. When Israel liberated the lands which were originally set aside for her, the world demands that Israel give them back despite the promise of the Palestinian Arabs that they will never be satisfied unless they are granted all of the lands and the Jews either given a new home far away or left for the Arabs to slaughter as they please. When the Arabs say far away, they mean like to planet Israel, should it ever be found.

Planet Israel

There is a joke making its way around Israel. Perhaps you have heard that Israel launched a probe named Beresheet which is still proceeding to the moon. We claim that it would not surprise us to be told that we need to remove Beresheet from the moon because it is on Palestinian Arab Lunar soil and that the moon belongs to Islam as it is on so many Muslim national flags. This is said tongue in cheek, but it is actually not that far fetched as they have claimed that the Palestinian Arabs were the Canaanites, the Philistines and the Phoenicians. All three of these civilizations have long since perished from this Earth with one making their last stand against Rome as the Carthaginians. Both the Phoenicians and their later cousins, the Carthaginians, were both sea-faring Greek people and were not even from the Middle East and had no relations with the Arabian Peninsula, but when one is grasping at straws, anything will be taken as good enough. The Palestinian spokespeople have claimed that the Palestinians invented the Canaanite-Palestinian language six-thousand years ago, a mere three thousand years before Cuneiform, the accepted first written language. They had to choose a number greater than four-thousand years in order to predate the arrival of the Jewish ancestors. The problem is that none of the tribes which attempted to prevent them from inhabiting these lands survived in any form to the modern era. But, as the United Nations has proven, who needs facts when it is the Jews you wish to curse.
