Israel and the Golan Heights Against the World

President Trump’s declaration of recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights has been received warmly, politely and with a feeling it will prove a temporary United States position. We cannot argue against their logic claiming that another President will come along and rip the decision up and claim that the United States backs fully the United Nations in demanding that Israel do as she is told. Just in case the world has not figured this out yet, Israel will seldom do as instructed by the European Union, United Nations, Arab League or even the United States. Israel will act in order to assure her survival in an area where mistakes are costly because there is always someone waiting to take advantage of such situations. Weakness is an invitation to the surrounding nations that you can be defeated and forced to play by Arab rules. The problem with that is should Israel ever need to play be the Arab rules, she knows that rule number one is that the Jew is a sub-human creature which must realize is only permitted to exist by the permission of its Islamic superiors. Rule two is Islam is perfect and Judaism is a disease to be correct by the fires of Islam. The rules would only get worse from there ending in the final rule, convert to Islam or die. That is the neighborhood in which Israel resides.

Many people in the West, especially in the United States, tend to ask Israel why they refuse to grant the Palestinian Arabs a small state as Israel is so large and powerful. The unfortunate thing is too many people equate power with size. They see Israel as commensurate in power with the major powers such as Russia, China, United States, Germany and Great Britain. They then equate Israel in size often with the United States. In order to give people from around the world to compare the size of Israel, we have maps comparing the size of Israel with Great Britain, United States, Australia and India. These maps should immediately dispel any misconception about Israel being a large nation. It is approximately the size of New Jersey. Israel is quite tiny even compared to most of her neighbors, specifically Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Turkey and Iran. It is only the Israeli military might which has permitted her to resist being overrun. But size is not the only reason that Israel need to retain the Golan Heights.

Four Maps of Great Britain, the United States, Australia, and India with to scale map of Israel super-imposed for comparison on each map depicting her actual rather than perceived size.

A Comparison Against Four

The Golan Heights are part of the topographic defensive barrier for Israel from attacks coming from out of the east along with the Jordan River Valley (see topographic map below). The Jordan River Valley serves as a defensive barrier from attacks from the Jordan border into Israel and is equally efficient at protecting Jordan from Israel, so it serves the safety of both nations. The Golan Heights is the opposite; it allows whichever side, Israel or Syria, of an overlooking high ground allowing viewing deeply into the other nation’s lands. When Syria held the Golan Heights they would regularly launch artillery shells onto Israeli towns, cities, Kibbutzim and farms. Syrian snipers would practice by killing Israeli farmers testing their skill. Some of the more fertile areas of Israel had to be left untilled simply because it was far too dangerous for anyone to be out in the open as targets for Syrian soldiers. After the June 1967 Six Day War, Israel liberated the Golan Heights from Syria and since then Israel has held the high ground. What may be surprising to some, Israel has not used the heights for launching artillery shells into Syrian cities, has not used the area for snipers to practice their art shooting hapless Syrians or used it for anything beyond defensive measures when the Syrian civil war wanders into Israel, often intentionally. It should be obvious now why Israel insists she must retain the Jordan Valley and especially the Golan Heights, they mean security which means peace. The moment Israel shows weakness or vulnerability, there will be another Arab attempt to destroy the Jewish State.

Topographic Map of Golan Heights and Jordan River Valley

Topographic Map of Golan Heights and Jordan River Valley

Another advantage of Israel retaining the Golan Heights is that under Israel there are wineries, farms, orchards and other agricultural activities. Unlike the purely military control and restricted use under Syria, Israel retains a military presence, as she does on all her borders, but allows for civilian use which has brought new life and greenery to the Heights and wildlife has returned making the Golan region one of the favorite places for a day visit by Israelis and tourists. For the not too faint of heart, one can approach the eastern ledge of the heights and view Damascus. Of course Israel used the heights for surveillance of the Syrian movements of all sides of the continuing war. Israel has also used the Golan Heights as a contact point for those from the Syrian war requiring medical attention. Thousands of people have been admitted for treatment in Israel. Separate locations are arranged for the separate groups where they bring the badly wounded and from where they could retrieve their people after they are treated. Often those injured require hospitalization. All of this care is provided free with the costs being covered by the government but has on occasions caused difficulties such as overcrowding in those hospitals accepting these patients. Do not fret, we will handle these inconveniences as we do those of the little things we all face daily.

The reasons for Israel retaining the Golan Heights are simple. They are security, excellent wines, fruit orchards, grazing for herds, and with the heights in Israeli hands, there will not be any further conflict between Israel and Syria. Further, Israel holding the Golan Heights prevents the encroachment by Iran who is already establishing a presence in southwestern Syria with the IRGC and other forces including the presence of Iranian missiles and the missile launchers. Israel needs the Golan Heights in order to have early warning of any launch from these Iranian missiles. This is without even considering the possibility that Bashir ‘the butcher’ al-Assad deciding that he could bolster his position in the Arab world by launching attacks on Israel and using the ensuing violence as proof that the Israelis are aiding the anti-Assad forces and it is an Arab obligation to assist al-Assad against the anti-Assad forces and Israel. But even al-Assad is not reckless as to attack Israel while she holds the Golan Heights. This is the importance of the Golan Heights. Holding the Golan Heights by Israel makes the chances of a new war all but nil. Israel retaining the Golan Heights means peace.

Mandelblit Demands to Decide Israeli Elections

Israeli Attorney General Mandelblit, with the cooperation and support from State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan, has entered into the elections, now that the lists have been submitted and formalized, and has insisted that he decide which candidates are permitted to be in the Knesset and who must be denied entry into that body. Should he get away with this breach of legal etiquette and have the Central Elections Committee simply rubber-stamp his pronouncements, Attorney General Mandelblit will become the Lord High Elector casting his pale shadow over every candidate list deciding who can stay and who must go before the people are permitted any say with their votes. In the past week, Mandelblit has announced that he opposes the disqualification of the Arab Lists of Balad, Hadash and Ta’al parties from running in the elections. On the other end of the political spectrum, the story is quite different, as Mandelblit has submitted a request to disqualify Otzma Yehudit candidates attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir does not present sufficient evidentiary basis that would allow it to be accepted. These are the two candidates Otzma Yehudit has on the list with Jewish Home and National Union Parties.

Mandelblit based his claims against the two Otzma Yehudit on the “grounds of incitement to racism.” This poses the question as to why Otzma Yehudit should be tagged as unacceptable as they call for annexation of Judea and Samaria and expediting the voluntary emigration of Arab Palestinians while the Arab Lists are not being racist when they back armed revolt against Israel and dispossessing the Jews and have given open support to terrorist groups which murder Israeli citizens. The answer is clearly obvious once one includes the abrupt bringing of charges against the sitting Prime Minister and leader of the Likud Party right before the elections such that he can keep pounding the charges against Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu right up to the election and potentially have him barred from running by the Supreme Court. This is a political coup by other means than a military take-over, a putsch by prosecution. Mandelblit has proven that he is not fit to be Attorney General of the State of Israel as he appears to be unable to put aside his politically rose-colored glasses which makes every conservative, nationalist, Zionist and religious Jew into an raging racist and the leftists, socialists, and Israel detractors who call for the end of the Jewish State as an oppressed minority towards whom all should genuflect.

Mandelblit claims that statements made by Ahmed Tibi, Ayman Odeh, and Balad members supporting the “resistance to the occupation,” according to which, causing harm to a soldier is not terrorism, that this does not provide the evidentiary basis for disqualifying the parties. The Otzma Yehudit Party criticized the Attorney General’s decision stating, “The time has come to change the equation and inform the supporters of terrorism that they are not wanted in the Israeli Knesset. Democracy must defend itself, and the free hand that the Attorney General gives to the Balad members, to Ahmed Tibi and to Ayman Odeh, causes there to be in the Knesset an evil axis that supports terror, incites against the state, and receives a salary at the expense of the Israeli taxpayer on top of it.” Meanwhile, the candidates from Otzma Yehudit must be disqualified as they belong to the party which was founded in the spirit of Zionism and the thoughts of the late Rabbi Meir Kahane, whose Kach Party was disqualified for being too powerful and potentially might have placed Rabbi Kahane as Prime Minister, thus the Kach Party became racist and against the spirit of the State of Israel. But still the petition from the Reform Movement and Knesset members Tamar Zandberg (Meretz) and Stav Shafir (Labor) claiming racism against Ben-Ari and Ben-Gvir, the entirety of the Otzma Yehudit candidates on the list, for they incited against Arabs after terror attacks, used influence on the soccer fields to incite and more items which just cannot be made-up. Wait one second, there was one unforgivable sin committed by Otzma Yehudit Party and their candidates, they made repeated attempts to ‘revive’ the image and teachings of Rabbi Kahane. Well, there go my dreams of ever becoming Prime Minister as eventually they might dig deep enough to find out I was a supporter of the good Rabbi, may his memory be a blessing.

Apparently, the left just cannot let go of their hatred for the man who was proven to be correct about everything he predicted would be coming at Israel and today we are facing the exact existential threats which Rabbi Kahane wanted to prevent by cutting them off before they could grow to proportions beyond the ability for Israel to control. A solid argument can be made that had the PLO and Hamas been quashed instead of catered and treated like delicate flowers, not terrorists, then there probably would not be any Hezballah as that organization was not even an idea until after Yasser Arafat started a revolution to overthrow the Christian heritage and government in Lebanon. Furthermore, the left knows they will be unable to oust Prime Minister Netanyahu from being the person chosen to form a ruling coalition but they might be able to make his efforts fruitless or simply having to allow at least the more numerous leftist parties a seat at the table. If the left can petition the religious Zionist candidates from their respective tickets, this will cause many who would have supported the list they had joined to become disenfranchised and very possibly staying home and not voting. They are also going directly at the Prime Minister with charges which the rest of the world, including a number of Harvard and Yale lawyers, have found irresistibly hilarious. Mandelblit, those people laughing and claiming that no self-respecting prosecutor would ever take such charges to trial or even seek an indictment are not laughing because they believe you got Bibi in your crosshairs, they are laughing at you for thinking you have Bibi in your crosshairs. They are laughing because they cannot believe you are going to try and remove the Prime Minister over cigars and champagne, speaking with media owners seeking fairer coverage, refusing a bribe to press certain regulatory bills favoring one newspaper over another and being so bribed that Bibi voted against the measure, and these are your cases. These accusations are weaker and far less convincing than the threatened charges from the Attorney General’s office in the run-up to the last elections. We can only hazard a guess at what charges will be brought if Bibi should run once more, for example breaking fashion standards by wearing white shoes after November first or holding a formal dinner and serving tuna salad sandwiches with Kool-Aid, and just one flavor of Kool-Aid, grape. Things really are getting this ludicrous.

When it comes to anything right of center, even center as defined by the left, which places the actual center to the right or even the far or distant right, thus any truly conservative party is automatically the radical right, centrists who are neutral are relabeled as the right, and anyone with strong rightist views become an intolerable fascist beast who must be destroyed for the good of the cause and claimed to be done to save the nation. When the agreement was announced that Otzma Yehudit would gain two slots in the Jewish Home list of which only one has a great chance and the second a slight chance, quite slight, Y-net News reported, “A dynasty of racism and provocation is on its way to the Israeli parliament.” Another article, this time in Arutz Sheva stated, “Otzma Yehudit, led by former Kach movement activists Michael Ben-Ari, Baruch Marzel, and attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir, has been linked with the ideology of Jewish Defense League founder and former Knesset Member Rabbi Meir Kahane. Rabbi Kahane advocated the expulsion of Arab residents of Israel, and was barred from the Knesset in 1988, after serving one term.” Rabbi Kahane favored encouraged emigration for the Arab population, a far cry from expulsion. Expulsion is what much of the Arab world across the Middle East and Northern Africa did to their Jewish citizens, and these Jews were long-standing citizens whose families had resided at their location for hundreds upon hundreds of years before being thrown from their homes and businesses being dispossessed of every ounce of wealth and sent packing often allowing merely one suitcase, if that, and even that was searched for anything of value on the way out. Israel absorbed and integrated into the society over eight-hundred-thousand of these Jews but the entire Arab world has been unable to integrate or absorb a single Arab who probably left their home obeying the orders from their own Mufti of Jerusalem. As Rabbi Kahane stated, Israel is for the Jews and Arabia should be for the Arabs. But Rabbi Kahane desired a peaceful and voluntary emigration and never claimed that an expulsion was required, that is pure leftist spin. Of course, listening to Mandelblit and many from the left and you would believe that Bibi Netanyahu has horns, which we made a picture to assist in seeing such and included it below. Needless to say, but Bibi supporters claim he is an angel and to assist in this there is a picture with this below. We have had many disagreements with Bibi politically where our complaint has been that he is too tentative and refuses to act decisively and pursue a finality, especially when it comes to Hamas and Gaza. We can only guess at what the majority of media might say to those attacking the Prime Minister from the right, and it would not likely be pretty.

Bibi Netanyahu, You Devil or You Angel, We Decide

Bibi Netanyahu, You Devil or You Angel, We Decide

The above will be decided by straightforward means the first two weeks of April as Israelis go to the polls and decide the face we will put forth to the world and what policies we will follow. Mandelblit will probably vote in opposition to Bibi and in opposition to all of Bibi’s announced intentions. We will also be voting against Bibi and for Bibi, but not exactly Bibi. Our hope is for a different right of center, religious, Zionist, most definitely Zionist person who knows both the biblical definition of our lands and the Mandate and international law defines as our lands. Should Iran make a move, Israel may very well decide that a natural border to the north is required and make the northern border match the biblical northern border, the Litani River. We could turn the rest of Lebanon into a Christian nation under Israeli protection for as long as it remains Christian. These coming Israeli elections are going to be vitally important as they will set the immediate future should the people actually turn out and vote. Israelis are looking at another situation sort of similar to the 1992 elections where the right wing was still stinging from a media firestorm and the right splintered which handed the left the government despite their taking well under half of the vote. The right is not as splintered, though it does have some outliers which could result in a fair amount of wasted votes. The left basically falls into three parties, the Blue-White Party of Gantz and Lapid, Labor which might still refer to itself as the Zionist Union and the Arab List which largely has people who represent the Palestinian Arabs more fiercely than they do Israeli Arabs. Israel is the only nation where people who desire tearing down the nation and placing under a tyrannical dictator who would murder half of the country’s population is actually represented in their national government.

In the case of Israel, both Attorney General Mandelblit and State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan support allowing those who would destroy the nation and probably murder most of the Jews, no matter their politics, taking power, transforming the nation from the Jewish homelands to the Jews final resting ground. Should the right require a reminder, it was the disintegration from the right wing which brought forward the Oslo Accords which were designed in secret by leftists who were not in power working with the Netherlands and United States State Department (State Department is all one need know to realize that freedom loving people will suffer from the results) without informing anybody in the government and telling their other partners that they can do this if only they could win an election. Since then, there has often been Democrat operatives working in Israel to support leftist parties despite such being against Israeli election rules, accepting assistance from outside the country. This time the right will once again be facing a unified left who has promised to find the way to provide a state for the Arab Palestinians, the same Arab Palestinians whose leadership claims that the only solution is the replacement of Israel with an Arab Islamic dictatorship completely free of any Jews. That is what they claim and state regularly and we have no reason not to believe what they say would indeed occur should they ever get half a chance of completing their nefarious plans. This Israeli election and every future Israeli election, the right will need to hold the line and not allow any further slippage leftward. Granted, Israel has made great strides despite its socialist beginnings. Israel now has slowly and inexorably been sliding leftward which can be seen by looking at the centrist parties such as the Blue-White Party which would attempt to establish an Arab state carved out of tiny little Israel as an attempt to satisfy the Arab thirst for Israel’s demise. That would simply be blood in the water and the sharks would gather seeking the bleeding source, and that source would be Israel. The left which argued for Oslo was in favor of Israel retaining three-quarters of the regions which had been liberated from Jordanian occupation, and now the centrists, not even the left but the center want to give away virtually all the lands which Jordan had illegally occupied. That is the evidence of a slippery slope which comes from making unilateral concessions at the insistence of the originator of this mess, the United States State Department. These are the functionaries who make many laws by referring to them as regulations and levy taxes calling them fees and can run or destroy the country. In the United States, it is called the “Deep State” and in Israel we can just call it a hive of leftists which we can only be neutralized by electing right wing, religious, Zionist parties; anything less will end the Jewish State of Israel. Our two pictures of Bibi above are also the view which the left wing establishment, which runs much of the media and entertainment programming as well as having a stranglehold on the education and its environment, making them hostile against the very youth Israel needs to make their own ethical decisions. We need look no further than Europe, the United States and Canada to see what could be the result here in Israel if we continue to move leftward with one caveat; we are far smaller and this makes us potentially more vulnerable thus we need to be aware and teach our children exactly what is expected and needed to avoid an inevitable takeover by Islam or any other group which comes along. This is Israel, and we have over four-thousand years of history and have out-survived every great empire which came and went along the way. Mark Twain probably stated it best when he wrote the essay titled, “Concerning the Jew.”

“If the statistics are right, the Jews constitute but one percent of the human race. It suggests a nebulous dim puff of star-dust lost in the blaze of the Milky Way. Properly the Jew ought hardly to be heard of, but he is heard of, has always been heard of. He is as prominent on the planet as any other people, and his commercial importance is extravagantly out of proportion to the smallness of his bulk. His contributions to the world’s list of great names in literature, science, art, music, finance, medicine, and abstruse learning are also away out of proportion to the weakness of his numbers. He has made a marvelous fight in the world, in all the ages; and has done it with his hands tied behind him. He could be vain of himself, and be excused for it. The Egyptian, the Babylonian, and the Persian rose, filled the planet with sound and splendor, then faded to dream-stuff and passed away; the Greek and the Roman followed, and made a vast noise, and they are gone; other peoples have sprung up and held their torch high for a time, but it burned out, and they sit in twilight now, or have vanished. The Jew saw them all, beat them all, and is now what he always was, exhibiting no decadence, no infirmities of age, no weakening of his parts, no slowing of his energies, no dulling of his alert and aggressive mind. All things are mortal but the Jew; all other forces pass, but he remains. What is the secret of his immortality?”

Israel – Sometimes You Have to be the Majority of One

There has been a fair amount of talk, of discussions, a few arguments and much unnecessary bending of the truth about the future of relations between Israel, the United States and the whole of the Western World. This reached a boiling point recently over the allegations recently stated and tweeted by Ilhan Omar claiming that the Jews buy the support for Israel when she tweeted that support for Israel in the United States was “It’s all about the Benjamins baby,” and, “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel,” and after demands were given from Democrat Party leadership, she made a unimpassioned apology. Unfortunately, Ilhan Omar is not the problem, she is but the very tip of an ever-growing iceberg throwing frigid cold on support for Israel on the far left. With the drift of American politics inexorably shifting leftward for over a century, what is on the far left today will be a centrist view within a decade or two at the most. We have seen how Europe has drifted away from Israel as fully on display at every United Nations vote to sanction or condemn Israel, an unfortunate reality all too often on display. As for the remainder of the world, the Group of 77 (a bloc of 134 developing nations) just unanimously chose Palestine and its dictatorial president, Mahmoud Abbas, to lead the group for 2019. On January 15, 2019, Mahmoud Abbas addressed the group at the handover ceremony where he stated in his acceptance speech, “Terrorism takes place worldwide on a daily basis. It is an epidemic and I therefore call on all countries of the world to cooperate, to put an end to terrorism, to uproot it.” This coming from the arch-terrorist who authorizes payments to terrorists and their families commensurate to the number of Israelis they murdered and maimed, who implores his people to murder Israelis in the name of Allah and whose entire government is designed around the support of terrorism. Abbas was the man who arranged and transferred monies which paid for the Munich Olympics terror attack on the Israeli Olympic Team. The belief that terrorism is a joke and something which can benefit one with great wealth and all commemorations for the victims of terrorism is just an event which is just so amusing one must grin as the Cheshire Cat from the adventures of Alice down the rabbit hole. We know you demand proof of such a defaming, or in his own admissions, credit, attack on the integrity of Mahmoud Abbas, so below is a picture of him at the memorial rally for the murdered of Charlie Hebdo as well as those at the Hypercacher kosher supermarket. The only item on the mind of Mahmoud Abbas at the memorial march was getting camera time and expressing his glee that he was permitted to participate in this event as it simply would play well in the media. The smirk on his face tell the whole story of this terrorist in a suit.

But Mahmoud Abbas, like his predecessor Yasser Arafat, is all about terrorism and the drive to destroy Israel. The fact he has been awarded the semi-prestigious position heading the Group of 77 is more a commentary on the sad state of world affairs than it is about Abbas. This is a club representing the majority of the nations of our little planet. This singling out of Israel, the world’s sole Jewish majority nation, while many other nations with more serious problems affecting the world is, at the very least, problematic. What is seldom reported are the times Israel has gone literally around to the other side of the globe to assist people they have little if any relationship with simply because they were suffering after a natural emergency. We have a YouTube video below of a CNN reporter who was in Haiti to report on the desperation the Haitians faced after their devastating earthquake made all the more treacherous by their brick and mortar structures which largely collapsed. What she found and was pointed to by her initial interviews was the Israeli field hospital. She gives a very brief view of the Israeli station, something which has been edited and drastically cut since its original posting, we are unable to find the original, but the one nurse states plainly that if not for the Israeli field hospital, they would have lost numerous more patients. This is far from a single episode as the IDF has units in one command which are expressly trained and equipped to handle natural and other emergencies and they often respond and are on site and operating within twenty-four hours of the event. The Israeli searchers were the first to reach Nepal and the last group to leave after their earthquake. They visited a small village while assisting in the Philippines after a severe typhoon ravaged the islands which had never received any assistance or even seen a representative of the Philippine government, let alone anyone else before the Israelis arrived. The Israelis left behind a fully stocked health clinic with monitors and other equipment and sent people back to train the villagers on the use of the technology. The Israeli disaster teams often leave the structures they erect fully stocked and often with equipment and later return with personnel who train the physicians, nurses, technicians and the leaders and more educated people of small villages where medical personnel is barely a step above a medicine-man. Below the video is a map depicting the locations of IDF Field Hospitals throughout the world up through the first half of 2015. For additional inspiration, if required, Israel 21 provides an interactive world map which can be set to show the different varieties of aid and the locations receiving aid and the reason if needed which is honestly jaw-dropping. But the world acts as if Israel is the problem.

Israel aids nations and areas which are distressed, including the United States after Katrina and Sandy, a pair of particularly damaging hurricanes. So, many nations send aid all over the world. The difference is that Israel is quite a bit smaller than most of the other nations. The only means of depicting such is a comparative map which we made comparing Israel depicted to size compared to Great Britain, the United States, Australia and India (see below). We have learned through comments and even some insults, such as Israel has taken over much of the Middle East, an outrageous a statement as one could imagine, that there are many people who believe that Israel is the size of America or at least larger than most European nations. That is about as preposterous and plain wrong as one can be. The fact that Israel often manages to perform tasks and leave her mark in such an obvious and unmistakable impression that people are led to see Israel as much larger and populous than she really is. According to United Nations statistics, Israel is the one-hundredth largest nation by population and the one-hundred-forty-ninth largest nation by area while having approximately thirty-fifth highest GDP per capita and is considered to be the eleventh happiest nation in the world. Those figures hopefully give a more balanced view of Israel, the not quite super-power nation. We understand the fact that Israel has repulsed attacks by several Arab nations who were attacking her in coordinated fashion and that this has led to a warped view of Israel as being larger and far more potent militarily and otherwise than she actually measures when done scientifically. Further, the numbers of developments, medicines, treatments, agricultural advances and other scientific and economic accomplishments also add to this image, but Israel is actually a tiny nation geographically. Even should Israel retain all of the Shomron (disputed territories formerly illegally occupied by Jordan from 1949 until the June 1967 Six Day War) Israel would still only be approximately fifty miles in width.

The IDF has estimated that it would take an invading aircraft a mere few minutes after crossing into Israel proving ill intentions before they would be overflying Tel Aviv, Israel’s largest metropolitan region, and would reach Jerusalem in half that time and Jericho in seconds. Another reason Israel feels she has to retain control of the Jordan River Valley and the cliffs overlooking this natural geographical defensive position against ground assault is made obvious in the image below depicting this barrier. Further, the cliffs above would provide Israel with positions for RADAR systems used as an early warning system of aircraft approaching from the east. The arguments for annexing the Golan Heights, which Israel officially did on December 14, 1981 are virtually identical to those for the Jordan River Valley and overlooking cliffs plus as a defensive measure to prevent Syrian snipers from shooting at farmers in the Galilee valley and other agricultural regions near the Syrian border. What the world refuses to consider is that Israel, except for the Judean Hills, which are part of the disputed territories, and Golan Heights is mostly flat coastal plains. Without the disputed territories, Israel around the Tel Aviv metropolitan area would be a mere nine to twelve miles wide, less than the width of Washington D.C. which is barely over fourteen miles. This is part of the reason finding an agreeable position which balances the Israeli military and land use concerns with the Arab demand that Israel be erased from being ruled by Jews and become an Arab majority nation after the influx of over five-million ‘so-called refugees’ who are spread throughout the Palestinian ruled areas and the surrounding Arab nations is necessary.

Despite Israel’s lack of size and being greatly outnumbered by the surrounding Arab World, Israel has never requested for any other nation to fight with her in any of the wars she has been forced to fight. The United States did provide, at their insistence, crews to operate the wide-band over-the-horizon RADAR System they loaned Israel, but that was to prevent Israel getting too close to the advanced technology provided by the United States. Apparently, the technology transfers, including military technology such as the complete schematics and programs for the Iron Dome Systems, only flow in one direction for the most part. That was fine as Israel developed such a system. Israel even gave the United States an upgrade for the F-16, rear-view mirrors. On the military and defensive front, Israel prevented Saddam Hussein and Iraq from producing nuclear weapons by destroying the French provided Osiris-class nuclear reactor on June 7, 1981, which would have permitted Iraq to have had nuclear weapons before the First Gulf War, something which then President George H. W. Bush thanked Israel. Israel was condemned by President Ronald Reagan after the attack as the State Department and Intelligence Agencies had assured the President that Saddam Hussein was not pursuing nuclear weapons. Israeli intelligence services disagreed with that conclusion which was more based on promises by Saddam Hussein. Israel performed a similar raid preventing Syria from developing nuclear weapons when Israel bombed the Al Kibar site on September 6, 2007 preventing them from producing nuclear weapons. This was a North Korean designed and built reactor which the United States refused to act claiming the building was not a nuclear reactor. North Korea condemned the Israeli action as ten North Korean nuclear scientists were allegedly killed, but it was not a nuclear reactor, really, it wasn’t, RIGHT! Israel also managed to remove half a ton of secret nuclear documents from central Tehran in under six and a half hours detailing the entirety of the Iranian nuclear programs including likely vital information of which many of these were the sole record thus sending the Iranian nuclear scientists scrambling to recollect and do the math for configurations and other specifics from the program. Israel would be very hard pressed to actually perform a similar strike to prevent the Iranian or North Korean nuclear programs, though STUXNET computer virus did destroy a fairly large number of the Iranian advanced centrifuges. But a military strike would be problematic, but surprises are one thing Israeli has been very adept at performing, but some things might be that one-step too far.

These and the many inventions, assistances provided, emergency service in times of disaster around the world, preventing nuclear proliferation, providing intelligence to the United States and others who are incapable of accessing Middle Eastern nations and in almost countless other areas and ways, Israel is the majority of one. We described a number of areas where Israel has produced benefits which she has given to the developing world, many of the nations being members of the Group of 77 mentioned earlier. They were included in our article Were Israel Ignored by the World where we included a plethora of links. Israel could be referred to as the little nation that could, and then did. Israel realizes that she will often be that singled-out nation if for no other reason than she is the State of the Jewish People. Israel is the only nation in the world with a Jewish population that is above five-percent, and actually is majority Jewish. Israel is the only nation in our region where the people enjoy freedom of religion, freedom of speech, equality under the law, freedom to work in any profession in which you are trained, universal voting rights for her citizens, political freedom and a host of other freedoms, rights and liberties. The Palestinian Arabs are not suffering because of Israel as the ones in the Shomron are ruled by the Palestinian Authority and Mahmoud Abbas who has refused to hold elections for a decade and a half, and ruled by Hamas in Gaza where they don’t need no stinkin’ elections as Hamas knows best who should be in charge. Those are the real and truthful reasons that the Palestinians have not voted in an election. They do not vote in Israeli elections for a very simple reason, they are not Israelis nor are they ruled by Israelis. Germans do not vote in the elections in the United States, Britain, Russia, China or anywhere other than Germany. If Angela Markel were to declare herself Chancellor of Germany for life, then Germans would no longer vote either. That is kind of what Mahmoud Abbas has done making himself President of the Palestinian Authority for life, Chairman of the PLO for life, Chairman of Fatah for life, President of the Popular Resistance Committees for life, Head of the Palestinian Central Council for life, President of Palestine for life and who knows how many other posts he holds for life. Palestinian Central Council recently recognized Mahmoud Abbas basically as President for life officially, so not all of these are made tongue-in-cheek, they are serious. Israel, on the other hand, is a parliamentary democracy which operates under the rule of law where all are equal under the law. Despite this, Israel is constantly called-out for presumably having a double-standard with two classes of people, Jews and often it is just Arabs and other times it is Jews and everybody else. All Israelis, Jews, Arabs, Druze, Bedouin, Muslims, Christians, Baha’I and any others all have the same rights, period. But Israel will always be singled out until the world finally realized that Israel is a blessing and is unlike other nations in so many wonderful ways, which makes her a majority of one as far as we are concerned, and hope you get a chance to visit and you will very likely reach the same conclusion.
