Truth About Anti-Trump Rabbinates

The four Jewish Rabbinical organizations deciding to boycott the annual conference call with President Trump are politically driven. They are simply another embodiment of the polarization of the American people. One might even see the nation now as the Divided States of America. What is sad is that these Rabbinical groups would place politics into their religious leadership of these organizations. That is a new situation where religious leaders decide on whether or not they are going to attend an event with the President which is an annual event to mark and celebrate the Jewish High Holidays, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, on purely political motives. Their claims that this is over Charlottesville tragedy is purely fabricated out of whole cloth as most of these Rabbis also boycotted President Trump at the AIPAC conference when he spoke. Rabbi Jonah Dov Pesner has written an op-ed on March 25, 2016 in the Jewish Journal expressing “deep anguish over Donald Trump’s appearance at the conference.” Additional rhetoric in his op-ed depicted his exact duplicity as he wrote, “As a religious movement, we do not endorse or oppose political candidates. Still, along with several other rabbis and lay leaders, I decided that I had to register my opposition and growing concern with the tone, rhetoric, and violence that have come to define Donald Trump’s campaign by not staying in the arena when he spoke.” Add to that, Rabbi Pesner is completely aware that as a religious leader his place is to provide support to his congregants but apparently the good Rabbi has chosen his congregants so carefully that he knows none supported the Trump campaign and thus they all supported his disrespecting one candidate while giving support through his presence the other candidates.

But we should not leave out the names of the entities which have decided that this President is unworthy of even the decency of a phone call to commemorate the Jewish High Holidays, a completely nonpartisan event. The Central Conference of American Rabbis, the Rabbinical Assembly, the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association and the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism are the groups whose leadership has declared their membership of Rabbis are to boycott the Presidential call as the representatives of their congregations. One can only wonder how many of these Rabbi’s congregants just might have voted for President Trump or might actually take pride simply that their Rabbi would take the call from the President celebrating the High Holidays simply because of the honor of the office of the President. The article about the boycott probably made the best statement when they opened with the following introduction before getting to their apparent support of the Rabbis refusing to take the Presidential call stating, “For years, the presidential conference calls were a nonpartisan holiday tradition: President Barack Obama would speak by phone with hundreds of rabbis in advance of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, in what participants described as a meeting of minds, largely free of raw politics.” Wonderful, for years, since the Presidency of William Jefferson Clinton, this has been a politics free event without any grandstanding or other political jesters. No longer will this be the case and we seriously doubt Charlottesville was anything beyond cover for a purely political protestation and more carryover from the defeat of the inevitable one, Hillary Clinton.

International Socialists as Communists vs National Socialists as Nazis

International Socialists as Communists vs National Socialists as Nazis

This is simply more of the reaction and partisan furor over the election of Donald Trump after the fake news system failed to deliver the overwhelming predicted victory of Hillary Clinton. The leftists were so convinced by their own propaganda that they have been completely incapable of coping with their failure to retain the Presidency. These Rabbis are simply a symptom and nothing more. We witness the complete frenzied refusal to accept the election of President Trump but there is a far more serious problem starting to explode within the American political scene. The problem is not just with the scene in the United States, we have the effects from the leftists on the policies concerning Israel. The American group J-Street who claim to be the alternative to AIPAC for Israeli policy and also the only true peace advocates have been out screeching to the media that President Trump has destroyed all hopes for peace between the Israelis and Arabs. J Street on Thursday attacked the Trump administration for refusing to endorse a “two-state solution” to the Israeli-Palestinian Arab conflict. J Street president Jeremy Ben-Ami attacked State Department Spokeswoman Heather Nauert for her comments made Wednesday, August 23, 2017 (see entire briefing below covering many subjects from Egypt to Cambodia as well as the Israeli Arab peace process), stating, “We want to work toward a peace that both sides can agree to and that both sides find sustainable. We believe that both parties should be able to find a workable solution that works for both of them. We are not going to state what the outcome has to be. It has to be workable to both sides. And I think, really, that’s the best view as to not really bias one side over the other, to make sure that they can work through it. It’s been many, many decades, as you well know, that the parties have not been able to come to any kind of good agreement and sustainable solution to this. So we leave it up to them to be able to work that through.”

What is interesting are the exact complaints registered by the J-Street leadership which we need discuss. Their problem with the position stated by the State Department and President Trump on numerous occasions is that there will be no supposition of any condition for the resulting form of any peace agreement in the Israeli Arab negotiations. J-Street were distressed that the Administration stated position does not include the demand that there be a “two state solution” and Ben-Ami claimed, “displayed dangerous ignorance about the nature of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and what it will take to end it. The Trump administration has spoken often of its desire to broker a comprehensive and transformative peace agreement in the Middle East. Early steps taken by the special envoy and others suggested a real interest in constructing a viable approach to achieving that objective. But there is no way to accomplish that goal without a two-state solution.” This was according to Haaretz who simply love to print everything that J-Street claims as it fully backs their leftist post-Zionist slant on the news. J-Street has consistently supported making an Arab Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria and dividing Jerusalem and using the Green Line as the defining border and the labelling of any Jewish manufactured or grown goods from the area. J-Street has also taken a position against any “settlement growth” in Judea and Samaria. Unsurprisingly, these are also the demands made by the Arab Palestinian Authority (PA). Why a presumably pro-Israel group would support the exact same demands as the PA which is working towards, as they have stated, the destruction of Israel as the Jewish homelands is far beyond reason. The media also, from the press briefing, are stunned and in disbelief that the Trump Administration is allowing the two sides to find whatever solution the two are able to agree upon, whether that be a two state solution or some form of shared political and security arrangement no matter what form as long as both sides are able to agree.

The J-Street disagreement and accusational attitude towards the Trump Administration after their love affair with the Obama Administration is simply another example of the bias towards the left by American Jews. This has become something which has been somewhat distressing to many Israeli Jews. Many are confused and do not understand why the American Jews are taking sides which would cripple Israel and possibly injure Israel severely if their positions were to become fact. Seeing American Jews taking the identical position as the PA confuses them but part of the reason for the position of the American Jews comes down to the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party has, of late, taken the same outlook to a solution between Israel and the Arabs which is fully-supportive of the positions stated by the PA. This was the position taken by President Obama who favored not only the PA but also to have a Middle East where the major power would be Iran instead of Israel. Candidate Clinton had stated repeatedly that she supported the Obama position on the Arab Israeli peace as well as empowering Iran such that they would replace Israel and the Saudi Arabians as the strongest in the Middle East. The Obama Clinton positions were near identical and were both anti-Israel and post-Zionist if defined by Israeli terms. The Jews in the United States have turned to where their politics supersedes their religion and when their politics clashes with their Judaism, their leftist policies take precedence over Torah. This will continue to place a wedge which will force the Israelis and the American Jews further and further apart over time. Israel is becoming more religious while the American Jews are becoming less religious and this will lead to something problematic in the near future unless something should come to pass which would force the American Jews to be forced to defend their Jewishness.

The coming of the near future for American Jews will be their dissolution through assimilation. Within the next twenty to thirty years, the numbers of Jews will dwindle greatly. Most of the Reform and Conservative congregations now are largely made up of five time a year Jews with a small core of Jews who actually follow the religion. The Reform Jews probably have virtually, if not, no religious Jews remaining and their congregations will dissipate into nothing, as the next generation is not raising their children within the faith. The Conservative congregations will also start to disappear with the next two generations. The one shining and hopeful reality is there is one group of Jews who are growing in numbers, and those are the Orthodox and the Haredi Jews. What is also of interest is that these two groups are more-supportive of President Trump than the other denominations. The Orthodox and Haredi Jews are more conservative politically and generally more supportive of the Israeli side of the Israeli Arab conflict. This bodes well for Israel but not so much for the influence of the Jews in general in the United States. The leftist Jews are leaving the fold and will water down their performance of Jewish customs and observance eventually making them not Jewish except by genealogy. There is one thing which could alter this trend which is hopefully unthinkable. That would be anti-Semitism raising its grotesque head to the point where Jews were singled out and had legal restrictions placed upon the community.

This has been an occurrence which has often come about when the Jews in regions were assimilating to a dangerous point where it threatened their existence and the rise of hatred forced the Jews to return to their faith. The Jews in Persia were assimilating to a great degree to the point that the Queen to King Ahasuerus was a Jewish woman named Esther. Then Haman came forth gaining a royal decree that all Jews were to be put to death, when Esther informed the King that she was a Jewess, the King made a second decree which did not countermand the first, that was not permitted by Persian law, but he ruled the Jews were permitted to be warned of the date and may defend themselves. Hamas and his sons did not fare well and were hanged. This is celebrated as Purim with the reading of the Megillah of Esther. The Jews again were almost completely assimilated under the Greek rule. The Hellenist Jews were liberal and following the ways of the Greeks until the Maccabees revolt which is celebrated as Hanukkah and the lighting of the lights. Under the Romans the Jews were never allowed to assimilate and actually managed to revolt and remove Roman rule twice, one resulting in the destruction of the Second Temple and the next in the first dispersion and the rumors of another revolt brought the second and near total dispersion. This spread the Jews over much of the Roman Empire and some even beyond their borders as they fled from Rome altogether to escape persecutions. The Jews in Germany actually served in a higher percentage than other groups even including the Lutherans in World War I and many were highly decorated. The Jews were all but completely assimilated in Germany leading into World War II. The Nazis took care to separate the Jews from the rest of the German population and the resulting genocide of the Jews of Europe is recorded in the Holocaust where two-thirds of the nine-million European Jews were murdered, six-million Jews.

The Jews of the United States are reaching very high level of assimilation and it would be unfortunate if Charlottesville protests would be the first sign. But do not let anyone be fooled about where the main threat to the Jews derives; it is from amongst both the far-right and the far-left. One side is comprised of Nazis and white supremacists while the other side has BLM and Antifa which are but a minor example. The new anti-Semitism is largely expressed as anti-Israelism, anti-Zionism and the convergence of Islamic antisemitism and Christian Replacement Theology. There were likely a close number of anti-Semites on both sides in Charlottesville, but do not expect to ever hear that from the mainstream media as for them the leftists are perfect people who would not have butter melt in their mouths. The Jews in the United States may also awaken in another twenty years, if not sooner, to find themselves being reproached regularly in the public sphere before it gets radically worse, just a warning of that which we hope never happens.

Save Me Your Holier than Thou, We Paid Our Dues; so You Cannot Demand Our Obedience

First we would like to thank those American Jews and Christians who donated to Israeli funds and other interests. We appreciate your visiting and spending your tourist dollars here. We do appreciate the fact that your advice is well-intended and that you only mean for Israel to be the best that is possible. We understand that your desires are for Israel to be the moral example for the world and for us to act in such a manner that everybody will love us. We also understand when you complain that our actions reflect upon you and often appear to make your lives difficult. We understand that sometimes you cannot find any way of defending some of the actions Israel uses and the methods by which we seek to preserve Israel’s existence. We are aware of why you are so furious over Israel’s new travel ban on those who view Israel as an “apartheid” state; oppose the Israeli “settlement” of the Jewish homeland; and fight to isolate and de-legitimize Israel by boycotting Israeli academics, speakers, leaders, and products. We understand that you view this in the same light as Trump’s temporary immigration ban on merely seven Arab states where vetting those arriving from these places is next to impossible.

We understand that you feel you would be a hypocrite should you so oppose Trumps actions and simply allow with a wink and a nod Israel to act similarly. We even understand those who have threatened to stop contributing to Israeli funds unless we act properly. Well, allow us to reply, thanks, but no thanks. Keep your monies if that is your desire and please end your endless preaching and demanding that Israel act such that you are comfortable with our actions. Contrary to your opinion, Israel is not around for you to wear on your bracelet as if it were a charm which you can display to your friends and say see how nicely they act always forgiving every slight and never ever taking a hard line against those who would kill every Israeli if only they had the weapons with which to do so. See how they try so hard to diplomatically resolve their problems with those who are launching rockets at their children’s kindergarten and fire rockets timed with the start and end of the school day. Aren’t the Israelis just the most liberal and caring people always taking in whatever refugees appear on their border even when many of them only come to commit heinous acts of terror and act belligerently, especially to the Israeli women and the elderly.

This is not going to happen and you are going to have to just settle for the fact that Israel is a nation like every other nation in that sometimes it will need to act in ways which possibly the majority of the world, especially when it is Israel acting so, will go into an uproar denouncing Israel and those doing so might include you or those you know. Sometimes you are not going to be able to defend Israeli actions to your leftist friends who love to point out how Israel is just as bad as every other nation. We know that such is a lie and those making those claims would demand Israel commit suicide and still would complain we were not giving enough. That is just too bad because Israel does act and plan to remain a viable nation able to defend her borders. This requires that these borders are defendable in the first place. That means that we are not going to surrender everything the world would demand of us. We gave away Gaza and that resulted in a disaster yet the world immediately pocketed that generous act of faith and immediately demanded we surrender Judea and Samaria to the same people whose last gift resulted in Hamastan on our southern border and a menace for Egypt in the Sinai Peninsula. Were we to repeat that mistake and the same happen in Judea and Samaria these very same people from the United Nations, European Union and nations around the world would demand we give away the Negev next as proof we wish to get along with the rest of the world. Well, if suicide is what is required to get along with the rest of the world, guess we will not be getting along and you will have to live with these facts such that we can live period.

There appears to be a growing existence particularly in the United States believing that Israel must run every decision past a select group of important people who are far more knowledgeable when it comes to policies and what would best serve their desires which Israel should be required to commit to such that they will feel proud to be considered supporters. Should Israel disappoint them, then the Israeli government should be replaced and these same self-serving people should be the final arbiters as to who should run the nation. Those with whom they disagree should be relegated into the minority and only those who are amongst the approved group of left leaning, two-state supporting, anti-settlement, secular, anti-orthodox politicians who would feel comfortable and are acceptable to the leftist wing of the Democrat Party should be permitted to run Israel. Well, that is not about to happen. Israel is rapidly becoming more religious and more Zionist than any of the average Democrat Party leadership could ever be if their recent convention and choices for leadership are any indication of their leanings. Any political groups which find leadership such as Democrat Party National Committee Chair Tom Perez and Deputy Chair Keith Ellison, both of whom have a record of anti-Israel activity and advocacy, are not possible allies of Israel and should not have any influence over Israeli political or military decisions. Those who would support allowing a Women’s March to be coordinated by pro-Palestinian, anti-Israeli Linda Sarsour and convicted Palestinian terrorist Rasmea Odeh are not capable of also claiming to be supportive of Israel. Support of Rasmea Odeh and believing her story that she was innocent of the terror attack bombing of a supermarket which murdered two young Israelis, twenty-one year old Leon Kanner and twenty-two year old Eddie Joffe, and injured nine others because her confession was given while in the custody of the Israeli authorities disqualifies them as being a supporter of Israel. Those who believe her claims of innocence and that she was sexually tortured as was her father for forty-five days before she confessed to her part in the terror attack has beliefs about Israelis which belie their claims of support for Israel. Yet these are often the people who scream the loudest accusing Israel of improper activities and then plead that Israel should be required to seek their approval before taking any actions political, military or other security actions. They are also the most shocked and astounded that Israel would take precautions without conferring first with their betters in the United States, particularly their betters in the leftist organizations such as Jews for Peace, Rabbis for Peace, B’Tselem, J Street and numerous other leftist, post-Zionist radical groups.

Much to the horror of these leftist detractors of Israel, the majority of the Israeli population does not agree with their demands that Israel sacrifice even further because peace is just one more sacrifice away, just as they claimed before Israel made the last sacrifice which they claimed that this time it would be the last sacrifice, not like the sacrifice before that which was also to be the last sacrifice as was the one before and the one before and that has been the story for the past twenty-plus years of Israeli final sacrifices for peace. After the Gaza debacle, the Israeli public completely has decided that they see real willingness and a different attitude from those with whom Israel is presumably supposed to be making peace. Mahmoud Abbas has refused to even meet with the Israelis; yet the world demands that Israel continue making sacrifices though the last two sacrifices, if not more, have not been returned and instead have been rebuked and met with claims that whatever sacrifice Israel made was insufficient and until and unless Israel is ready to fall on their sword, then nothing less than suicidal retreats will suffice. Those who claim that such sacrifices are not out of the reasonable sphere are not friends of Israel and are simply seeking to make points as being the greater leftist making the greater demands for Israeli sacrifice than the next leftist. Israel cannot meet the demands from every corner as doing so would be the end of the Jewish State. Israel is not going to commit to being suicidal and will act in the way best suited for continued health and existence of the Jewish State and will refuse those ridiculous demands of the United Nations, European Union, and others whose demands are of a similar nature.

Now to get down to the reality and truth of the matter which may be painful for some but, for the most honest, these revelations will come as no surprise as they have known that their views have drifted further and further left and with that drift so have their demands of Israel in the face of the Islamic escalating animosity and belligerence towards the Western World in general and Israel in particular, even more so than the United States. Israel sacrificed in making the Oslo Accords after Yasser Arafat duped the world into believing he had reformed from his terrorist days which included the attempted overthrow of the government in Jordan, the eventual weakening and Islamification of Lebanon and the start of the Lebanon Civil War and formation of Hezballah through his actions. Even after the Second Intifada about which came proof that it had been planned even before Arafat went to hold talks with Israel with President Clinton at Camp David and then in Paris where he already planned the violence such that he could blame it on Israel for not surrendering completely at the negotiations. What Arafat had not planned on was that after he gave President Clinton his word that he would accept a set of terms he deemed beyond Israeli comfort levels that Prime Minister Ehud Barak would agree to his demands for close to ninety-five percent of the West Bank, land swaps, and half of Jerusalem in order to make peace. The next morning when President Clinton planned on finalizing the deal and collecting signatures, Yasser Arafat stormed from the meeting with Secretary of State Madeline Albright chasing him down the hall to no avail.

Israel has made concession and sacrifice one after another with nothing to show for it other than the world expecting more from Israel to the point of demanding Israel make sacrifices simply for the sake of having Israel sacrifice with nothing offered in return. This led to the Gaza giveaway where all of Gaza was surrendered by Israel, over eight-thousand Jewish lives turned upside-down being ripped from their homes, their livelihoods often destroyed, their greenhouses turned over to the Arabs who tore them apart to make rockets and launchers, and then soon thereafter the Palestinian Authority surrendered the Gaza Strip over to Hamas, Islamic Jihad and giving a beachhead potentially to Iran on the Israeli southern border. Since signing onto the Oslo Accords where Israel was promised to retain Area C and all of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Authority was granted semi-autonomy over Area A which would lead to their being given Area A as the central lands for their state while Area B would be mutually governed and deliberations would decide where the eventual border would stand to the current situation where the world is demanding that the Arabs be given all of Judea and Samaria, half of Jerusalem and that Israel accept many hundreds of thousand Arab refugees and there are those who demand Israel accept millions of Arab refugees and that all of Jerusalem resulting in not just a single new Arab state but two new Arab states and the death of Israel and likely the extermination of another six-million Jews as the world would again refuse to permit them to emigrate to their shores and to relative safety. This is why Israel can no longer simply bow to every demand and whim which passes for the newest idea which will bring peace and instead decide what will allow Israel to keep peace through sufficient strength and control of strategically significant positions. These vital points include potentially all of Judea and Samaria as the Palestinian Arab population becomes virulently anti-Semitic and more militarized to the point they are becoming a threat to Israel’s continued existence.

This is the reality and as things worsen it will become even more of a necessity that Israel reestablish complete control over all of Judea and Samaria; and if that should also require the removal of the Arabs which are known to be militantly anti-Israel and anti-Semitic, then that is what will have to be. The current government would never likely permit such an eventuality, but that does not mean that such would not become necessary and that a future government would remain so intimidated by the world’s leftist largely in Europe and the United States. The threat that Israel will be hated if it does not comply with the next round of demands no longer frightens the Israeli population as they have learned that being hated is not necessarily the worst of all things, ceasing to have a defendable border and a safe place in which to live is far worse and if being hated becomes the price for survival, we will take survival, thank you so very much. We understand and have learned how easy it is for others, even Jews who claim to be our fiercest supporters, to demand that Israel surrender to her enemies and how doing so can make these people feel so superior and good about themselves and how it allows them to claim they are such great supporters of a peaceful solution to the Palestinian situation and how they are the most compassionate. We also are learning how to simply say, “No!” And when “No!” does not suffice, then how about we say, well, let us say we say, “No!” even louder and possibly with a few superlatives added to the mix. And when that fails, as our saying “No” always has, then we will just have to let our actions be our statement, and that we are sure will suffice when that hard day arrives. The problem is the more the world demands the indefensible of Israel the more they make peace impossible because the Arab world stands assured that the rest of the world will hand them the Jews and not even blink when they slaughter the Jews by the millions. They observed the world’s lack of concern during World War II and learned that the world does not care if there are those who wish to murder Jews. They also learned that the world does not much care who is being murdered as long as the murdered are a minority who is not one of them and that includes Yazidi, Kurds, Roma and close to any other group which is too small to defend themselves or cause the rest of the world to care.

Even nations do not always get a response when they are gobbled up; just ask Czechoslovakia, currently Slovakia and the Czech Republic which probably means there are two nations which can be swallowed without the world getting even the slightest indigestion as they have not learned from history. One last warning should go out to all the Balkan nations, the smaller nations at the eastern end of Europe closest to the Russian border and the countries of Southeast Asia near China (which is all except India); the world will not care when larger entities swallow you whole or even wholesale because their only concern is are they still feeling safe. It is only when the major nations, which the world has fewer of these every year as now nations such as Spain, Romania, Syria, Yemen and by now even Kuwait are no longer worth going to war over. Should Iran be the nation taking one or more of these nations, not to include Saudi Arabia, and already have tested large nuclear weapons proven to be deliverable by their displayed ICBM capability, then many might complain and call on the United Nations, but none would do much if anything. Thus, any idea that one could expect others to come to the aid of Israel is ludicrous and thus Israel would be left hanging to fend for herself? The world is not getting safer by the hour but far more volatile and dangerous, so please do not fault us for noticing and acting accordingly. You want to hate us, and we would rather you have us to hate than you to have once loved us and now hate our having passed and fallen.

J-Street Exemplifies Jewish Self-Hatred Still Alive in America and the World

The history of Jews who stand over the death of their fellow Jews while claiming that they are the noble Jews is long and horribly consistent throughout the ages and J-Street is just the most visible form today. It is appropriate that they are funded largely out of Europe and a fair amount of money came from the definition of Jewish self-hatred and renowned Kapò, George Soros. These types existed in Egypt who often held the whips as they were the taskmasters who did their Egyptian masters bidding, while others were spies turning in any Jew mentioned in rumors. They allied with the Babylonians and on and on throughout history. So, J-Street is nothing new, they just have the advantage of modern media, a polished public relations system and are liberally funded by Palestinian supporters, European governments, George Soros, and the many Jews who are taken in by their claims to be messengers who only wish to bring peace to Israel and bring an end to the conflict with the Palestinians. They do not tell their Jewish audiences their true motives and goals instead glossing over such by claiming simply they are pro-Israel, pro-Zionist and pro-Peace when they get an invitation to speak before a Synagogue or any Jewish organization. They do not bother to inform their Jewish audiences that their idea of peace in the Middle East is to make the Jews suffer the same fate as did the Yazidis who found themselves on a mountain top surrounded by the Islamic State who were bent on their eradication, a complete and genocidal eradication. J-Street believes that if only Israel invited every Arab who desired to reside in Israel and claims to have any “Palestinian” blood, which is virtually any Arab as the Arabs claiming to be displaced Palestinians were less than a century ago Syrians, Jordanians, Egyptians, Iraqis, Saudis as well as some Arabs from Iran, Turkey, Sudan, and beyond. The vast majority were not indigenous to the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea a century ago as recorded in the writings of almost every visitor to the Holy Lands from the 1800s and earlier of which Mark Twain’s Travels Abroad section on the Holy Lands and Jerusalem.

The proof of J-Street desire to make their peace with the Arab demand that Jews be stateless and left to the fates of whatever their minders, those who allow them to reside in their lands, those tender mercies and if they decide to be merciless, then the Jews should simply go where they are less hated and permitted a brief period of normalcy. They believe that because they have had what they believe to have been two centuries in the United States being largely accepted that such tender treatment will never end. They likely are not familiar with some episodes in American history, but first the videos from J-Street conventions and commentary and their supporters acceptance in the first video where an accepting and eager applause is heard.

J-Street speaker and representative Marcia Freedman
speaker from March 27, 2015 says Israel should be destroyed
to applause at a J-street conference speakerMarcia Freedman
suggested that there should not be a Jewish state, but a
“Jewish homeland” where Jews are a “protected minority”
within an Arab “Palestinian” state.

J-Street co-founder Daniel Levy from the 2011 J-Street Conference
recording of his claim that if Arab states continue to object or
denounce the existence of Israel may have been a bad idea.
He really means should be removed so that the
Arabs will stop being angry as such makes him uncomfortable.
Arabs being anti-Semitic should upset him but he is more apt to blame Israel
for his discomfort and believes if he stands for Israeli sacrifice
to the Arab anger then they may decide not to bother him.

There was a brief period where Jews were dispossessed of their holdings and, in the time it took for the order to be overturned, many Jews found themselves forced from their homes and businesses and treated as foreign interlopers in the recently reunited United States after the Civil War. Generals Grant and Sherman both had definite Jew hatreds which resulted in the forced removal of Jews “as a class” from the areas under the command of General Grant within twenty-four hours under General Grant’s “General Order # 11” issued on December 17, 1862. General William Tecumseh Sherman had warned, “The country will swarm with dishonest Jews” because of the cotton trade and described Jews as “without pity, soul, heart, or bowels of compassion.” General Grant had also issued previous orders numbered #9 and #10 which included the statements that, “the Israelites especially should be kept out… no Jews are to be permitted to travel on the railroad southward from any point. They may go north and be encouraged in it; but they are such an intolerable nuisance, that the department must be purged of them.” Jewish families were forced out of their homes in Paducah, Kentucky, Holly Springs and Oxford, Mississippi, and a few were sent to prison. When some Jewish victims protested to President Lincoln, the Attorney General Edward Bates advised the President that he was indifferent to such objections, “myself feeling no particular interest in the subject.” Against Attorney General Edward Bates objections, Lincoln had Grant’s odious order rescinded finally on January 4, 1863, but by then, some Jewish families had lost everything and been sent barely able to pack their belongings. But such could never have happened in the United States, could it?

The unfortunate truth is that, though not as pronounced as in Europe, anti-Semitism has existed as a steady undertow sometimes rising more to the surface. The worst period in the United States corresponded with and was powered by the same exact cause of anti-Semitism which in Europe culminated in Nazi, Germany; the Progressive Movement and the eugenics where the Jew was often used as the prime example of a degenerative race, inbred often miserly, antisocial and a corrupting influence of genetic inferiority. These views were often propounded by people of repute and some which to the uninitiated would surprise if not astound. Such names include Charles Lindbergh, Madison Grant, Harry Laughlin, Irving Fischer, and Henry Fairfield Osborn, Margaret Sanger, Henry Ford who published a compendium of articles under the title “The International Jew,” Ezra Gosney, Paul Popenoe, Charles Davenport and others from the Eugenics Movement popularized during the early Twentieth Century Progressives movement.

Anti-Semitism has existed amongst the wealthy and the poor, the highly educated and least educated, the popular movements and relegated to the shadows, government initiated and government condemned. So, what can history tell us about anti-Semitism in the United States, everything and nothing as every time there is a groundswell it has had a different triggering mechanism, the Civil War, the eugenics movement, even religious purification in certain locations and what will trigger the next wave is anybody’s guess. Our guess is it will be triggered by a social upheaval likely connected with economic collapse, a problem which some economists are currently warning may be right ahead if measures and policies are not adjusted and the government minding debt before debt minds the government. Whatever triggers a rampant anti-Semitism may be, as in the current rise of anti-Semitism in Europe, easily spread to the United States. Don’t believe that; simply do some research into the anti-Israel and anti-Zionism along with the BDS movement, the pro-Palestinian movement, Israel Apartheid Week on many campuses, Apartheid Wall demonstrations, Faux Checkpoint (protests presumably imitating the checkpoints which prevent terrorism and are as prevalent within Israel when entering malls, sports arenas, parades, or any other location where people in numbers congregate), imitation Israeli eviction notices where eviction notices being placed in Jewish students’ mailboxes or on dorm doors, and numerous other anti-Israel or Zionist demonstrations which have more and more often resulted in victimizing Jewish students because, well, they deserve it, right?
