Turkey Attacks Israel on World Diplomatic Stage, Again

Turkey is pulling what should be named the Mavi Marmara Maneuver once again. Allow us to give a quick refresher on the Mavi Marmara Affair. The Mavi Marmara was the lead ship in what began as just another break the Israeli Naval blockade on Hamas in Gaza. This one was organized by Turkey in cooperation with the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, actually a terrorist group. The entire convoy was carrying relief in the form of past dated medicines and unusable foodstuffs. When the relief was delivered to Gaza, Hamas gave it the treatment it deserved and simply burned everything. The Mavi Marmara was the only ship which attempted to dock at Gaza and was intercepted by Israeli forces who boarded her armed with paintball guns shooting pepper spray. The Israeli forces were set upon by the IHH terrorists armed with clubs, baseball bats, iron rods, knives, machetes and other weapons. They were forced to defend themselves with sidearms and nine terrorists were killed and an undisclosed number of injured Israelis. Some of the Israelis had to be pulled from the Mediterranean as they had been thrown overboard after being beaten and one had to be rescued from the ship’s hold where he was to be abducted. The Mavi Marmara was received in Turkey with a heroes welcome on her return (see image below). Turkey screamed bloody murder, literally, and pulled their ambassador and threw the Israeli ambassador and embassy personnel who were Israeli out of Turkey. They then had the audacity to demanded million of dollars in reparations for the families of the dead terrorists and an official apology. Israel caved to the Turkish treachery.

Mavi Marmara Received Heroes Welcome Upon Return to Turkey

Israel desired to have good relations with Turkey so much that they paid the twenty-one-million dollar ransom demanded by Erdogan presumably to be given to the families of those killed or injured resulting from the IHH terrorists setting upon the IDF which boarded the Mavi Marmara to enforce a legal blockade of the Hamas terrorists in Gaza. Many advised Prime Minister Netanyahu to stand up against Turkey’s President Erdogan and refuse to pay the ransom for relations. The Security Cabinet, on the Prime Minister’s suggestion, agreed that relations with Turkey were worth the twenty-one-million dollars. It now turns out they were probably wrong. The problem is not so much Turkey’s people who treat vacationing Israelis well as they rake in the money. Turkey has some form of appeal to our fellow Israelis that we as Olim apparently do not understand. Since many of the Israeli vacationers are younger people, perhaps it is an ageism thing. Whatever it is, we would advise perhaps Greece if one must go abroad for vacation, otherwise Israel has everything from nice sandy beaches to desert sand to the sandy shores of the Dead Sea and; well, OK, we see the problem, sand. But many go to the shores of the Black Sea in Turkey, so it may not be the sand. Time to visit the Greek Islands instead of Turkey as they once again sent the Israeli Ambassador packing and pulled the Turkish Ambassador to Israel back to Turkey for new directions. While the Israeli Ambassador was departing Turkey, he was subjected to an undo security check as if he were a suspected terrorist. He was required to be patted-down, remove his shoes, carry-on baggage ransacked and other indignities all intended to embarrass Israel and make Erdogan appear to be powerful and able to disgrace Israel at will. We have included this video from Al-Jazeera which we are sure has some angle, especially in its coverage of Gaza and the history over the Mavi Marmara. The supposed tenth terrorist who presumably died did so after return to Turkey so for that we must take Turkey’s word for this.

These actions are all in the past, some of it recent. So what should Israel do about this insult from Erdogan, and that is what this is, Erdogan coming to the support of his Hamas friends and making a scene upon the world stage. Erdogan is seeking aggrandizement to make himself appear as the leader of the Arab and Muslim world and the reestablished Caliph of the Ottoman Empire. Erdogan often speaks of reestablishing the Ottoman rule over the Middle East initially, and then North Africa followed by the world, the routine by numerous Arab and Iranian leaders is well recognized and overplayed. The Mullah are doing it in Iran using their former glory as the Persians, Kaddafi did it in Libya, Nasser did it in Egypt, Arafat and Abbas have played it looking like fools as they did and the Saudis claim it as they hold the Two Holy Cities (we will have to wait and see what Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Arabic: سلمان بن عبد العزیز آل سعود‎) will proclaim if anything as initially he appears to be taking an untride route for the future of Saudi Arabia. But the subject now is Turkey and its President for Life Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This would be the right time to knock this pretender to the Caliph of the Ottoman Empire down a notch and possibly change the picture of current affairs in the Middle East.

Turkey’s Erdogan is feeling like a big man in the world currently with his slaughtering of Kurds in northern Syria and taking his first steps to reestablish the Ottoman Empire. You do not need to take our word on this, take his quotes from an article by Jihad Watch. Israel need first make a clean break with Turkey by pulling all staff out of Turkey and leaving the embassy an empty shell of a building. This should be performed quickly and with stealth. A nation which can remove tons of actual information out of Tehran and bring it to Israel and allow the United States to view all and do that in one night can surely take out all Israelis working in the embassy in one night. Israel should advise all Israelis who work in Turkey that Israel will no longer be able to defend them nor protect them as relations have been terminated. When Turkey then retaliates, Israel should be prepared to terminate any Turkish airlines from service within Israel, close all Turkish consulates (unless that was Erdogan’s move) and expel all other services which are purely of Turkish origins. There will be those who will claim that this hurts Israelis financially, and this might be true but sometimes people get hurt when nations fight. But all of this is minor strategy. The final strategy could be almost devastating for Turkey, though it would require some assistance which we believe might be given willingly.

Prime Minister Netanyahu should dispatch somebody he can trust and who would be well received in Washington. The Prime Minister should not do this himself but instead allow another to take a risk, all be it with President Trump. This envoy would be empowered to state the Prime Minister supports the idea but only if help can be depended upon, as for Israel doing this alone would be a stretch. Should President Trump agree that this is the right time and the best way to protect people facing a genocidal maniac out to murder them, then this could be the time to recognize a new and deserving nation, Kurdistan. This Kurdish nation would be inclusive of all the Kurdish people and span parts of northern and northeastern Syria, northern Iraq, southeastern Turkey, and if this is to be the boldest move ever, a small part of northwestern Iran. The Kurds are a people under threat in all these areas. Turkey under the direction of Erdogan has used pogroms against the Kurds of Turkey, is currently sweeping norther Syria killing men, women and children in the Kurdish cities and towns and who knows how far he plans on going as he has mentioned his desire to add Aleppo and Mosul to his extending of Greater Turkey (see map below). Iranian backed Iraqi troops have pushed the Kurds and continue to do so in northern Iraq and the Kurds in Iran are not treated well and definitely are less equal than others. Establishing the nation the British were supposed to have made after World War I would be something whose time has definitely come. We have called for a Kurdistan before and it is almost a pet idea here. Another democratically ruled state with the liberties and freedoms that come with such a state would be a great addition in the Middle East. Stopping Erdogan’s genocide of the Kurds would also be a plus as the world does not need another Armenian styled tragedy as occurred from 1915 through 1917 in what would today be Armenia and northern Turkey. The Kurds can be saved and with the United States and Israel recognizing the new nation and providing any necessary assistance, the Kurdish People are likely to accept the invitation to this party.

Greater Turkey

Greater Turkey

One of the main reasons that the Kurds did not declare their independence after their survey in September of last year (2017), was because the United States State Department advised that they would get no assistance from the United States. We have a feeling that President Trump was not even advised of this opportunity for the establishing of Kurdistan or was poorly advised that it would be a terror state by State Department functionaries (also called the Deep State). Would such a nation be greeted in its region. Well, the answer is yes if an invasion by Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Bashir al-Assad in Syria all simultaneously but with no coordination between Turkey with the remainder who would be directed by Iran. Once the initial invading forces were neutralized and their advance halted, from that point forward we believe the Kurds would insist on protecting their own nation if given the tools. They would require the arming with heavy weapons of their entire military, which would be built from scratch. They would require air support until their own pilots were cleared to fly modern fighter jets. Once trained, judging from their experience against the Islamic State, the Kurdish militias were responsible for much of the defeat of the Islamic State which they accomplished largely on their own with only minimal assistance beyond air cover. The only condition which should be placed on Kurdistan is that anyone residing within their borders be permitted to remain providing they are supportive and not prone to terrorist activities. Founding the nation of Kurdistan would blunt Erdogan’s hopes to establish a Greater Turkey, which he would call the Second Ottoman Empire (the man has delusions), would establish a base to blunt violence, which is currently plaguing northern Syria, southern Turkey and northern Iraq, three hot spots on the globe. It would end Turkey’s current invasion of Syria and his likely planned invasion of Iraq. Ending Erdogan’s hallucinatory dreams of reestablishing the Ottoman Empire would also stave off a war between Turkey and Iran, one in which Turkey could invoke Article 5 of the NATO Treaty and drag the United States into the conflict. Apparently, the United States would likely be dragged into any conflict between Turkey and Iran, so as long as one will be dragged into a conflict, why not one which ends much of the violence and not takes it up a few notches and tempts a world war. Establish Kurdistan and it ends the possibility of a Turkey-Iran War when the two expansionist nations both want the same area, Mosul to be exact. Give Mosul to the Kurds as it used to be theirs before Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons to eviscerate the Kurdish population so his military could simple walk in without facing resistance. One more reason to protect the Kurds is by giving them their rightful country. The final reason it has to be a great idea is because the State Department hates the idea of recognizing Kurdistan because it would be the right thing to do, they always stand against the right thing as Israel can testify. The State Department advised President Truman to refuse recognition of Israel and to refuse to permit them into the United Nations and has been fully behind every harebrained idea which had derogatory effects upon Israel, our example is Gaza Disengagement which brought Hamas to our borders with their own nation of a sorts. Finally, establishing Kurdistan would really upset Turkish President Erdogan and do so to such an extent as to possibly have him burst a few blood vessels.

One last point which just came to our attention, and for some reason, we are absolutely positive that Erdogan had something to do with arranging this, though it is a feeling without definitive proof. What has occurred is that the UAE government, which led the investigation, seized the shipment of electronic equipment comprised of CSP 180/300 capacitors from Turkey to Iran in July 2017. Making matters worse, the Turkish company bought these capacitors from Celem Power Capacitors manufactured in Jerusalem, Israel leading the United Nations Secretariat to ask Israel to investigate the matter. A Celem company spokesperson responded to queries stating, “We will prove that we sold it to Turkey, to an orderly company. We don’t sell to enemy countries. Most of our sales are to Europe and the US, but Turkey is not an enemy state and there is no reason not to trade with it. In any event, if the shipment actually arrived in Iran, the Turkish buyer cheated us.” To us this appears as an attempt by Tukey to get these obviously Israeli capacitors into Iran thus implicating Israel after having erased any trace of their participation in the routing, which to us reeks of Erdogan manipulation of companies, people and facts.

The State Department is Wrong Again

Pay a little attention, President Trump. The State Department has been wrong almost from the very beginning. They advised that the United States follow the European example and pay the protection demands of the Barbary Pirates. President Washington followed their advice and so did President Adams and then came President Jefferson who initially did as the State Department advised and finally, the greatest proponent of isolationism, the man who issued the most ardent Federalist Papers in support of trade with all and ally with none so as to remain free of external entanglements, President Jefferson initiated the first Barbary War ending the demands for tribute and gaining free travel of the sea ways for American ships. In more recent times, the State Department initially advised cooperation with Germany and Italy as well as the French, Russians and British through the 1930’s. After World War II, the State Department advised cooperation and even friendship with the Soviet Union and now they are advising cooperation with Iran and the Arabs over the Kurdish People and are advising the death of Israel with their advice of pursuit of the Two State Solution scenario. We wish to once again add our names and reputations of the people at BTC that the United States takes the first step in the international stage to clearly declare support for the establishing, as stated in the Treaty of Sèvres, a national home for the Kurdish People reestablishing Kurdistan. The Kurdish People lost their homelands at the same time that Israel was conquered by successive empires. In 1948 President Truman went against the advice of the State Department and many other officials and voted for the formation and then recognized the State of Israel, an act which has paid not only the United States, but the world many dividends ever since. Whenever you eat a cherry tomato, think of Israel as they are one of the agricultural ventures from Israel; but we are not here to speak about Israel other than to point out, despite the advice of the swamp led by the State Department, he took the correct actions in 1948 and you have an opportunity to take an almost equally historic action and help with any actions required to assist in the founding of the State of Kurdistan.

Founding the State of Kurdistan need not be a force of war as the Kurdish forces already have their own autonomous regions which the United States was supporting. Listening to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a mistake as the man is a liar with delusions of being able to reestablish the Ottoman Empire on the dead bodies of the Kurdish People through genocide just as they settled their differences with the Armenians and Greeks. When President Erdoğan told the world his forces were attacking the Islamic State, they were actually engaging the Kurdish forces as part of his personal hatreds and desire to take their lands. Further, President Erdoğan is very likely to ally with Iran, the very force which needs to be prevented from having a corridor from the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. Forming the Kurdish State including Kirkuk and Mosul, traditional Kurdish lands, would weaken the Iranian Crescent (pictured below). And while you are undoing the domestic fouls committed by President Obama such as his main success, Obamacare, his over-regulations, weaponizing the EPA and the IRS and a host of other to do items, would it be possible to also undo the worst real-world sin President Obama committed, destroying the Middle East balance giving the key to the region to the Mullahs of Iran. There will be no preventing Iran becoming a nuclear power within your first term but they do not have to be given the entirety of the Middle East through your inaction. The southern half of Iraq is lost as well due to the early removal of United States forces which permitted the Shiites to take revenge for Saddam Hussein and his years of oppression. They took their vengeance on the Sunni center of the nation and are now doing to the Kurds exactly what Saddam had done with military cleansing areas of traditional Kurdish lands of their Kurdish populations. The United States removal of aid and military backing has only encouraged the stealing of Kurdish lands and encouraged President Erdoğan to attack them from the north while oppressing the Kurds in Turkey. Kurdistan would be another steadfast United States ally much like Israel though they would require some assistance initially but once settled and set with borders recognized, they would be able to protect themselves. The main assistance they would require would be training of pilots and a modern air force for them to fly, modern armored vehicles and weaponry after which they would be self-sufficient. Think of this as an investment in a second and more centrally placed aircraft carrier which does not move.

There are two main threats building in the world, and for a change, they are not any nation which would have caused fears back last century. Once the United States had removed Saddam Hussein from power, then Iran no longer had their major adversary and saw a potential friend through which they could expand their regional control. The only obstruction Iran faced was the United States forces which were assuring that Iraq remained a stable and open democratic nation and not falling back into sectarian violence. When the United States forces were pulled from Iraq, almost immediately after everything appeared to be in order and peaceful. Soon, almost immediately, after the United States troops were aboard their transports, the Shiite majority turned on their Sunni countrymen. This brought Iranian support to assist their Shiite brothers and secured their central piece of the dreamed of Shiite Crescent. The only necessary requirement for completing their long dreamed of Crescent was the retaining of Syria by Bashir al-Assad, an effort which they had Russian support. The outlook for Syria is that Iran and Assad will soon defeat the remainder of their opposition and return to power. There is another necessity which Iran hopes to include in their area of influence and that is Mosul, the Mosul Hydroelectric Complex and the surrounding oil fields. Traditionally, these would be an area which should be part of Kurdistan and thus by establishing the full region of Kurdistan, the United States would deny Iran one of their desired jewels from the region. Mosul, as well as being host to so many goodies, is also a central hub of major roadways of the northern region (see map below). The Kurds had protected their autonomous zone which included Mosul and Kirkuk and were comfortable and stable until the United States recently announced their pulling of their assistance to the Kurds. Immediately thereafter the Iraqi military assisted by IRGC* forces provided by Iran has pushed the Kurdish forces from the areas south of and in Mosul all the way out of Mosul and northward and appear next to be targeting Kirkuk. This is a repeat of the United States pull out of Iraq under President Obama which resulted in the formation of ISIS. This time it will result in a triumphant Iran taking hegemonic control of the central Middle East from the Indian Ocean through most, possibly all, of Iraq plus Syria and Lebanon.

Mosul Central Road Hub of the North

Mosul Central Road Hub of the North

What harm, as Iran already controls most of this land already, would establishing a small retreat of Kurdistan do to blunt the Iranian hegemony? First, let’s say the United States introduces the Kurdish State and stations two fairly large bases, one an Army and Air Force Base much like many of these type bases in the United States and another one for the Marines including a Marine Air Wing. As Kurdistan would be a landlocked nation, there would be no need for Naval personnel other than a self-supporting Marine Base. This would place United States forces and bases for fast-deployed strike forces in the heart of the Middle East. The existence of Kurdistan would also provide Israel with an ally and potential air base which would allow their pilots to have another place to land in emergencies. Kurdistan would be a check on hegemony by Iran, check Turkey and Erdoğan’s designs on restoring an empire, and provide a real United States ally in which the United States forces would be welcome and not seen as intruders tolerated in order to allow influence as in Yemen and Qatar, both Iranian allies and thus unlikely to remain friendly once Iran decides the entire Middle East is their playground and there is no room for other forces. This will be the day when the United States will be forced from Yemen and Qatar and after which Iran will set upon Saudi Arabia.

We asked not long ago, who would start World War III. We have one scenario which might be exactly how it could start, and it does not include Saudi Arabia. Very possibly Iran might attack Saudi Arabia before World War III actually starts. The United States is close to self-sufficient when it comes to oil, gas and energy production. Russia would not worry about Saudi Arabia falling to Iran as Iran is presumably aligned with them through the Syrian debacle. Further, such an occurrence could only result in a marked increase in the price of a barrel of oil which would make Russia solvent, something they would not be too opposed to if not actually pleased. And Iran is their friend, or so they might believe. But if they are on the same side, why is Russian President Putin seemingly nervous about his friends from Iran? Putin realizes that the Iranians do not view Russia as anything more than a tool in their toolbox, a temporary tool which they will discard when it is no longer serving any purpose. Putin also realizes that his interest in Syria overlaps with the Iranian interest in Syria, specifically, naval bases. Russia needed naval facilities which had access to the Atlantic Ocean and the Syrian Mediterranean Sea which Syria provided. Iran is also seeking naval bases in the Mediterranean Sea. This will lead to an altercation eventually even if Iran was required to instigate said conflict. President Trump is transfixed on North Korea and cannot see the threat posed by Iran. North Korea is not capable of world conquest and makes threats in order to force financial assistance and concessions from other governments, usually targeting the United States mainly. North Korea largely threatens South Korea and secondarily Japan. The main damper on any threats posed by North Korea is not, as President Trump likely believes, the United States but rather is someone much closer, China and Russia. North Korea is almost completely dependent upon China and Russia for their trade, especially China when it comes to North Korean oil. Secondarily they export minerals and other raw materials and limited produced goods including textiles. China has the single most influence upon North Korea, as they are their greatest provider of food such as grains and other vital goods. The United States barely has any trade with North Korea and thus is limited in influence other than threats which Kim Jong-un does not believe are real as he judges the United States from what he observed during the administration of President Obama and the fading red line in Syria and the collapse in negotiating with Iran where the only bullying was against Israel. The United States is a paper military in the eyes of Kim Jong-un and he has complete faith that any posturing by President Trump is all boast and no teeth. This has allowed all his bluster and placing of military assets in the area as empty threats which have all been simply for show and no real threat exists. This has emboldened North Korea and it has only been since the agreeing by China to join in the sanctions that had Kim Jong-un realize that he was facing a serious threat, China working with President Trump.

Meanwhile, Iran has watched President Obama fold before the negotiators, promise Russian President Medvedev of being more flexible after his reelection and both President Obama and Trump pulling out of the Middle East with President Obama pulling out from Iraq gifting the entirety of the nation to the Shiites and Iran with the exception of the Kurdish regions. Now Iran is watching as the United States pulls their support for the Kurds leaving them to fall prey to Iranian and Iraqi Shiite forces pushing them from Northern Iraq while Turkey and Bashir al-Assad are forcing them from northern Syria and Turkey is possibly making plans to remove all Kurds from all lands controlled by Turkey much as the Ottomans removed Armenian Christians from the northern areas of the Ottoman Empire. Iran has watched the United States fold-up camp and leave each area just as the Iranians and their allies of Syria, Iraq and Hezballah have made their initial moves to take each area. The Mullahs can only think that the United States has no stomach for a fight with Iran and thus are concluding that they have a clear road to take whatever they should decide is theirs. This could result in an empowered Iran reaching the decision that there would be no reason for them not to take the Saudi Arabia oil fields as well as the entire western Red Sea shoreline including Mecca and Medina so they can claim to be the real leaders of all Islam and the keepers of the Holy Cities. The appearance of an emboldened Iran building a base within sight of the Golan Heights has raised concerns in Israel. This has Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu speaking with Russian President Putin seeking possible Russian assistance which will likely not make one whit of a difference. Iran could simply take a number of steps too far as they might have misread the reality and push the United States past their tipping point forcing President Trump to take a stand against Iran directly. It might even be Russia who gets pushed by Iran too far setting these former allies at one another’s throats. The future is going to be anything but boring.

If the World Was Serious About Preventing an Iran War

The actions over the past few weeks have once again shown the lack of any shred of serious concern over preventing Iran taking control of the Middle East and the oil resources held there. Say what you want about how Saudi Arabia can stand against Iran, that is a pipe dream and everybody knows that. The only hope the Saudi military would have against Iran would be if they held a parade contest and even then, Iran puts on a pretty good imitation of the old Soviet Union style of parade, the Saudis just look impressive in their fancy dress uniforms. The Saudis even with Israel assistance would still end up losing the oil fields as the Israeli sphere of operability has limitations which is why Israel is considered vulnerable to Iranian nuclear threats. Obviously, many of the signs that the world really was, the United States in particularly, interested in preventing a world war started due to Iranian threats well beyond simply the Middle East would be done secretively, there are still some steps which would necessarily be committed in plain sight. The first would be some passive verbal support for the response of the Kurdish referendum praising their desire to be granted the nation they had been promised by the allied victors of World War I.

Please do understand that much of the problems in the Middle East stem directly from the results imposed after World War I and much of that blame lies with two men whose names are on the very treaty behind these problems, the Sykes-Picot Agreement. British diplomat Mark Sykes and a French counterpart, François Georges-Picot, with some small input and suggestions from Russia and the complete hands-off support of the United States trying to stay above the fray which adds their name to the perfidy, drew the lines of control for much of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) dividing the lands into areas of control with no regard for tribal and ethnic regions. This action was intentional as they were attempting to assure themselves that the Middle East would never become a major power in the world. Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Iran were the three places which were not affected as they remained as they were or were beyond the scope of the Allied powers. The Allies performed a similar arrangement when dividing up the Austria-Hungarian Empire just as they did the Ottoman Empire. The British and French went a step or two further by making the chance for an opportunity for the Jews and the Kurds to gain independence and have the nation that each was promised all but impossible, and undefendable if either managed to gain their necessary foothold. To restrict the Jews, this was accomplished by having the British all but strangle their ability to make Aliya to the Holy Lands; and to the Kurds, they divided their populations between Iraq, Syria and Turkey leaving a fourth in Iran. If these areas had been permitted the Kurdish People, there is a good chance that Kurdistan would have a democratic form of governance and would be providing a perfect staging area for much of the problems over the past century in the Middle East. They also would likely have been an inspiration to the peoples of their neighboring nations to pursue a more liberal and democratic path after World War II, but that would have empowered the Middle East; and the British and French were seeking anything but such an occurrence.

Still, it is not yet too late to mend long ago made mistakes and grant things promised in bad faith. If only the advisors from the United States State Department were not infected with an anti-democratic bend and steeped in the sour soil of Arab oil and Islamic supremacy. The State Department is neutral as it cares not which form of Islam, Shiite or Sunni, wins, just as long as there is an Islamic Arab force with which to try and impose their view of a just world. Their current favors bow to Iran thanks to the previous eight years of having their positions sold to the Iranians first. Still, there is the beating of a Saudi Arabian old heart and a soft spot for Egypt and the Palestinians and a culture steeped on anti-Israelism, anti-Zionism and thus anti-Semitism. For the Department of State, the only good Jew is one completely devoted to the State, the Democrat Party and completely ignorant in the Constitution, Bill of Rights and associated ideals of freedom. The State Department is probably the most anti-Trump area in the entirety of the government and the most intractable as well. Trump gave the job of Secretary of State to an old friend and we hope they have an understanding that as Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson is supposed to talk the talk and walk the walk completely in agreement with the garbage spouted by the State Department “deep state” and add his own Saudi Arabian twist as this is expected from one who spent their life being entertained, wined and dined by the Saudi Royals. Secretary Tillerson was likely told not to get upset if it appeared he was being ignored often, his job was to engage the “deep state” people in the State Department and make it appear they had a voice and were being effective while Trump went his own way. That would be the perfect situation of management control and if such is the case; it will be studied in business and political science classes in the future.

We have already heard how the State Department wants the Kurds to just shut their mouths, sit down and allow the adults to trample them into the dust of the Middle East. Thus far, the only nation to support the Kurdish referendum was Israel. Israel also has strong and good relations with the Syrian faction of the Kurds. The Kurds were the fighters who stopped ISIS, back when Islamic State was ISIS, in the battle for Kobane where the Kurds had stopped the ISIS advance and were the first to do so and then, with some United States air support, the Kurds turned the tide and then cleared Kobane of ISIS presence and pushed them southward, again with marginal American air support. This was the story in Syria which has one last piece in the puzzle, when the Syrian Kurds turned the tide; they received some assistance from the Iraqi Kurds which quickened their push. Meanwhile, in Iraq, the Kurdish Peshmerga Militias stopped the spread of the Islamic State in two crucial battles in Kirkuk and Erbil turning them back and, in a long and brutal series of assaults; the Kurds opened the route into Mosul and established a foothold in this crucial city. With Peshmerga Kurdish assistance, the Iraqi Army with America air support, tactical planning, artillery support, and America Special Forces implanted within and with an undisclosed number of American troops taking the south flank and the Kurdish Peshmerga taking the north flank, the Iraqi Army, according to all media reports, took Mosul in a valiant effort showing great heroism and resourcefulness in a brutal fight of uncommon ferocity lasting almost three days. The Kurdish Peshmerga Militias then spent the next two weeks clearing the remainder of Mosul in door-to-door fighting mostly in the northern regions. The absolute bravery and valor of the Iraqi Army is most definitely unquestioned, or so the media tells. There was a reason that the State Department and the Pentagon insisted that the Iraqi Army be credited with taking Mosul, and now for the revelation.

The crux of the situation is that around Mosul are numerous critical items. There is the Mosul Dam and hydroelectric generation facility. The dam is in need of upgrading and desperately in need of repair which it will hopefully receive before it breaks. This would be best handled by some governance which actually cares about the people. Then there are the Mosul oil fields which produce the second greatest amount of oil in Iraq. Finally, Mosul is a central point where the majority of roads meet and thus makes it the Bastogne of the Iraqi battlefield. In Bastogne, Colonel McAuliffe commanding the 101st Airborne Division was surrounded by German armor who pounded the city for twenty-four hours plus. When offered to surrender and save his troops, the Colonel answered “Nuts!” Nuts is what the United States and the Kurds are if they permit Iran and Iraq to retain control over the Mosul area. This was a Kurdish area which Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein attempted to denude it of its Kurdish population and move Sunni Arabs into the former Kurdish homes. The Kurds have permitted their people to return to their homes with their intent on retaining Mosul. The West and the World would sleep a lot sounder with Mosul firmly in Kurdish hands. For this and a myriad of other reasons, the United States would be best served to ignore the State Department and their claim that in the name of peace, Iran, through Iraq, should be permitted their claim on Mosul and the Kurds denied such lands or any lands and be left split between four nations, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey to live under the cruel rule of their oppressors. The State Department gives the Kurdish the same treatment as they have the Jews, believing them both to be merely capricious little children too ignorant or unintelligent to know what is best for them.

The reality, as usual, is the complete opposite of the State Department advice. The Kurds could and would be an ally to the forces of freedom, liberty, capitalism and democratic rule. They would also be a friend of Israel, which we admit does cloud our vision, but such a clouded vision is still a far bit clearer than those at the State Department. The next path at present would be to make plans for the recognition of a Greater Kurdistan (map below). That would include northeastern Syria, Northern Iraq reaching southward to include the Mosul areas, northwestern Iran and parts of southern Turkey. In order to make such a nation possible, the United States would need to provide the basic aircraft for the Kurds to have their own airborne protection. The training should be provided by either the United States, Israel or both, for the pilots to fly these aircraft with the most capable given actual air defense dogfighting training. They would need armored vehicles which some might be provided by Israel and the rest by the United States as well as some training in their use and how to defend them against anti-armor weapons and how to implement them into a combat scenario. Finally, imbedding some Special Forces trainers initially plus air assistance as the initial founding of Kurdistan, no matter the promises or treaties involved, will result in a combined assault of the nascent nations by at the least four and as many as twelve Arab, Turkish and Iranian armies attempting to drive them into the ground, there is no sea this time, and murder every single Kurdish person they can find. The reason that all the Kurdish areas must be included in the founding of Kurdistan is because any left outside of the country will be slaughtered by their own countrymen as an example to the Kurds as to what will happen to them if they lose their war to keep their nation. Israel can attest to the fury that will be shown any Kurdish nation once founded, and it matters not when such may occur, the vile spite which will be shown as violence is unfurled against the Kurdish People wherever they may be found, will be equal to the fury thrown against Israel and which still fills many Arab and Islamic hearts towards Israel and the Jews. With American and Israeli assistance, this idea of a real and honest Kurdistan which will be free, democratic in nature, and with a vibrant economy can and will be established. Should Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan become enraged and threaten to quit NATO, that would simply be one more advantage of our proposal, one that should be gladly and immediately accepted.

Additional advantages of establishing the promised Kurdish nation is it would provide Israel with an emergency airbase which would place some needed cooling on the Iranian eagerness to destroy Israel. The Kurds would necessarily be allied with Israel and the West as the Arab world and Arab League would treat them as a pariah and constantly be a threat to their survival. A Kurdish State would also work to keep a check on Turkey and perhaps the Sunni Muslims in Iraq might seek the Kurdish protection from their Shia dominated government in Iraq, though perhaps protecting the Sunni in Iraq might be a stretch. In the end, a Kurdish nation in the heart of the Middle East with democratic governance and a capitalist economy and the standard of living which such provides, they would be an example of what each of these Arab states could be with a government which serves the people instead of enslaves the people. Kurdistan could be the beginning of the reformation which so many have written about but none have shown any means by which such could occur. Those who have claimed that an effective example would be Israel missed the mark as Israelis are seen as outsiders, intruders and anything but what the Arabs should emulate. The Kurds are Sunni Muslims, not Jews, nor Catholics, not Buddhists but real and longstanding followers of Islam and amongst those who surrendered to Allah and they could show that surrender to Allah and following Islam does not mean one must live off the crumbs doled by a dictator but that one can be modern and enjoy the spoils of life while still being good and practicing Muslims. That might just be the greatest prize which might come from Kurdistan, and that could change the world.
