Future Promises Playing Out on American Campuses

 

There is a truthism spoken by Vladimir Lenin which goes, “Give me just one generation of youth, and I’ll transform the whole world.” We would like to make a slight alteration which will be just as valid a statement but ours goes, ‘Look to the colleges and you will see your future ruling elites.’ This should frighten anyone familiar with what passes for normal on today’s college campuses. There are forces who have been making inroads to indoctrinate the youth and many have gotten into position as professors at some of the most prestigious universities in America as well as across Europe. They are assisted in selling their new view and plans for the future by instigators and NGOs which hate Israel and America looking to overthrow the elective systems of governance and replace it with totalitarian socialistic governance. Their initial protests were against Israel, as blaming the Jewish State and claiming the Jews stole Arab lands was an easier sell than attempting to vilify the United States. But with the election of President Donald Trump and the media storm which has ensued ever since, selling that the United States is an oppressive regime which denies equal rights to minorities has become an easier sell. Additionally, they can equate the Trump Border Wall with the Israeli anti-terror wall/fence and the border fence around Gaza. Additionally, they paint President Trump and with it the Congress, which had a Republican majority until the last election, as serving the upper one-percent and denying even a decent living to the other ninety-nine-percent, as ludicrous a statement as the claim that Israel is attempting genocide against the Arabs. First thing is if Israel was attempting genocidal practices against just the Palestinian Arabs, then how can one explain that their numbers since 1950 have gone from approximately seven-hundred-fifty-thousand to presumably over five-million. Further, the expanded version of that slanderous trope has been that the Jews wish to destroy the Arab and Muslim worlds, as if the around fifteen-million Jews on the planet today would even consider making such a war against the approaching two-billion Arabs and Muslim worldwide. But such claims against the Jews and Israel are often fed to college age youths who have little knowledge of Israel and at best neutral feelings with no real basis for understanding Judaism or Jews take such information, especially when it is presented as fact by professors, specifically those hired in departments of Middle East studies which are very often funded by Saudi Arabia and other wealthy oil producing Arab nations and even Iran through intermediaries such as Qatar. The root of the program to co-opt the minds of students in universities and colleges is not a new idea on how to plan a takeover of a nation. This was part and parcel of the Communists recruiting in Russia which led eventually to combining student revolutionaries and labor union leaders and their members to man the ramparts of the revolution. Thus, it should not be surprising to find the same approach being used today by the Islamists as they are slowly infiltrating the United States and were swarming into Europe until many nations froze their immigration and closed their borders. The first target of these groups is the Jews; of course as some things seldom if ever change. The Jews were the initial target of the Nazis claiming the Jews were all Bolsheviks and Communists while in Russia the Communists also were targeting the Jews claiming they supported the Nazis and were a danger to Russia and the revolution. Now, it was true that there were Jews who were Bolsheviks and Communists just as there were Jews who initially supported the Nazis, as they were, in both cases, useful idiots. Today, the Jews are being used as the threat and the controllers of the halls of power where they are abusing their influence to threaten numerous minorities, the integrity of the nation and numerous other nefarious activities. These are not new derogatory claims against the Jews as these are old blood libels which go all the way back to Haman and King Ahasuerus (Xerxes I) in Persia around 500 BCE. Even the Pharaoh who enslaved the Jews because he did not know Joseph, as explained in Torah, was convinced by his advisors that the Jews were too numerous and powerful and might join an invading foreign power against the Pharaoh and thus needed to be brought low. This was closer to 1800 BCE. This threat that the Jews are going to destroy the nation if they are not prevented from exercising their influences to the detriment of every other group, this is often made group sensitive depending on the audience being addressed. The saddest thing about this is there are Jews who willfully assist such tropes sometimes going so far as to echo them with some being professors who repeat such deceits and teach them as fact. Think about it carefully, as the Jews make up a mere two-percent of the population of the United States and despite being prominent in numerous fields, they simply do not have the numbers to accomplish those threats they are so often accused of perpetrating. When it comes to the United Nations, where Israel is constantly under assault and the Jews are often grouped as attempting to make the world subservient to Israel through their influence around the world; the Jews, less than zero-point-two-percent of the world’s population are going to do exactly what? But the Jews are and always have been a juicy and opportunistic target to funnel hate towards.

 

The main starting point is almost always Israel in these attacks, but as has now been witnessed on too many campuses, Jews are being targeted for violence, hatred and exclusion from college student government positions, positions on school newspapers as well as numerous other problems at numerous universities. These problems on American campuses are a recent development of the past quarter century and are a direct result of the moves by the Arab world to demonize and isolate Israel, and if they need to demonize Jews in general, that is just fine with them and possibly a bonus. Some of the accusations leveled against Israel include that it is a racist nation ruled by white European men who exclude people of color and women from power; Israeli Arabs are not permitted to live, work, join groups, be in the government and a host of other claims; Israel is working towards establishing a Greater Israel on all Arab lands, Jews are genocidally murdering Palestinian Arabs; the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) is killing Arabs for body parts to transplant and various other regurgitations of old canard and blood libels including stealing money, causing illnesses, poisoning the water, candy, food etc. and many, many more. Just to poke a small gaping hole, let us kill two accusations, possibly more, with one example; Haneen Zoabi is currently in the Israeli Knesset (parliament), though she is retiring and not running again, as an Arab, woman, pro-Palestinian who desired the destruction of Israel and has called for exactly that numerous times, so, any questions? The problem is the vast majority of Americans, and even more so amongst the youth, even those of college age, know little or nothing about Israel, know just barely more about Jews or Judaism, many have never knowingly met anybody who was a Jew or especially a religious Jew and are willing to believe what they are fed, especially when it comes from one who appears to be or is in a position of an authoritarian, which professors are especially believed and there are hosts of them, especially at some of the more prestigious institutions as they have been targeted by the Arabs and Islamists so as to indoctrinate the leaders of the future (if you skipped a link above, allow us to repeat it as it lists universities where Jewish students are prone to find difficulties, more so if they support Israel, and the list is frightening as many of those listed are prestigious halls of learning) and this is exactly where they hope to take the United States and are taking Europe, at least western and northern (Scandinavian) Europe. This is also evidenced by votes taken in the United Nations General Assembly and votes in the Security Council condemning Israel, disproportionally condemns Israel.

 

Conspiracy Theory of a Greater Israel

 

These events are troubling if one believes in a free world with mostly democratic governance and believes that people should be free to worship as they please and that religion, gender, race, national origin, sexual preference and all other human rights remain protected for all peoples. Unfortunately, there are forces at work which are diametrically opposed to these concepts but they are hiding often behind, of all things, human rights. Most of such organizations use Israel as their first and foremost punching bag because they can use latent or outright anti-Semitism to camouflage their true identities and purpose. These groups have targeting youth, especially those in universities, as their prime focus and are seeking to change the world to bring it under the sway of Islam. Many even disguise their Islamist roots while others are being exploited by those whose goals are an Islamic World Caliphate as described in the Quran. The Islamic world through these groups will often claim that Israel oppresses their Christians but they will never tell you that of all the nations within MENA (Middle East and North Africa) which is also called the Arab world plus Iran, only in Israel are the numbers of Christians increasing. They will claim that the Israeli occupation has forced the Christians out of Bethlehem. The problem here is that Bethlehem is currently ruled by the Palestinian Authority under Mahmoud Abbas and the Christians fled Bethlehem due to their stores being stolen or destroyed and then their homes and many left after death threats, all beyond anything Israel did or could do. They claim that Israel refuses to allow the Arab Palestinian from voting. Arab Palestinians are not permitted to vote in Israeli elections for a very simple and basic reason, they are not Israeli and live either under the virtual dictatorship of Mahmoud Abbas who refuses elections as he knows he would lose or they live under Hamas dictatorial regime in Gaza. Would the United States allow Mexicans or Canadians or Chinese to vote in their elections and is this denial the reason for a complaint that they deny these people a vote? Of course not, that would be ludicrous. Another reason these accusation succeed is simple, those spreading these largely false accusation are backed by nations with vast wealth as well as the numerous anti-Semitic forces and far-left and far-right political groups, neo-Nazis, and slowly but surely the left-wing political groups across the globe. The next potential and even likely Prime Minister of Britain, Jeremy Corbyn, the man who befriended Hamas and Hezballah but did not hate Jews, but cracks have appeared in those explanations which he swore by. Jeremy Corbyn is far from alone on the left, as some of the new members to the United States Congress have been proving. These are either Muslims (Ilhan Omar), Palestinians (Rashida Tlaib), or wide-eyed youths full of exuberance and short on knowledge (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez). Whatever their reasons, hatred of Israel and demands that it be erased from history, again, have been perched on their lips and we can expect many new faces with similar attitudes as time progresses. If screaming for people to wake-up, read-up, learn-up and if necessary, act-up before such things are no longer permitted is insufficient, then likely all is lost. Political correctness is not a polite way of speaking, it is controlling the language to control all debates and silence all who are opposed to those things which are inclusive and contained within intersectionality, which is designed to exclude Israel and her friends as Israel, and eventually this will be broadened to include all Jews, is considered beyond the pale and to be quashed. “The hate that begins with Jews (or the Jewish State) never ends with Jews,” former Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom.

Life with a Deceitful Media

 

If it were just the media perhaps things would be a little less, how can we put this politely, messed up. But the problem is in Western Civilization media encompasses a little bit more than just the news or even including the entertainment which is included by adding a word to make multimedia. As soon as we add that word, we have thrown in the Internet. There is one more arm of the multimedia conglomerate which was the most recently added, education. With all of these tentacles, the media has unbelievable power and it is only growing. As the Internet gains power, the Internet will become reality and will paint the history which is believed by the majority of the population. Educators will rely on the Internet as a teaching aid and eventually it will replace all other forms of knowledge and will become the infinite knowledge base. The media has its imperfections and the Internet is all these things, their starting-point, their amplifier and their eventual home where they flourish or die. The correction factors are human just as are their original authors and those who store the results and those who decide which results are stored and which are permitted to fall through the cracks in the electronic net, the Internet. When everything depends upon a shaky foundation, the future can only amplify each tremor until something important breaks and when eventually that something is important enough the whole world can change overnight. That is what results when the past becomes flexible and can be altered by anything from a mere whim to an intentional plot and everything in between, but it will be the little cracks in the truth of what was which will eventually destroy truth.

 

There has been a truth which was drastically altered somewhere back long enough ago that the lie has become the accepted truth. Even today, it is not understood completely who made the change to introduce illusion to replace reality and then promote leaving the illusion in place of all reason. The evidence often comes to the fore only to be sent scurrying back into the blurred truths of the past. What was once known and understood by academics, politicians and many honest and honorable people, but those days have all but melted away into what will soon be the distant past. But we have been informed that there is a cavernous distance on the political spectrum between the two major parties in the United States, the Democrats and the Republicans. We are told that the democrats hold the elite and more enlightened side at the leftmost end of the political spectrum and that the Republicans staunchly hold pragmatic far right end of the political spectrum. That is what is depicted on the top picture which one may have seen in some learned textbook or drawn on the board walking into a lecture on the political ethics or modern politics in the United States. You will be told other lies such as that the Communists are on the left and the Nazis were on the right, also depicted on the top image. The Communists are always said to be even further to the left than are the Democrats and the Nazis to the further right than the Republicans. Often the Democrats are said to be in the center while the Republicans are still reputed to be on the far right almost neighbors with the Nazis. Well, allow a welcome reality which can and remains on the Internet of the political spectrum represented on the bottom image below. The Democrats and Republicans are almost next-door neighbors and both situated and slowly sliding further leftward with time. Then there are the Communists, the Nazis and the new world bad boy, Kim Jong-un, all even further to the left. Oh, and for your information, very little exists to the actual right of center except the theories which founded the United States stated in fairly plain English in the Constitution of the United States along with the Bill of Rights (see image below). These truths are taught but in a few university and college courses in a few limited and smaller institutions, and that is all the more sorrowful.

 

 

In many ways, in an honest study of history, the societies which traditionally were most destructive to freedom, liberty and individualism with rights for the people have been those which favor the government and its power over that of the people and the individual. It matters little whether the Statist Imperialist were Kings and Queens, Dictators, Pharos, Czars, Führer, Emperor, Dear Leader, Caliph, Judges, Sultan, Prophets or whatever title they may choose. They may even choose to have elected officials who cannot make any real difference. The government itself becomes the holder and enforcer of true power and holds the politicians hostage, as they owe their wealth and power to the government as without the government the people could take back that which they lost to the bureaucracy. When the state holds the power then the people will fear the government and when the people hold the power then the government fears the people. There are no places left on earth where the people are feared by governments any longer as the governments have arms and powers which the people cannot match. The United States Second Amendment was actually intended to allow the people to be as armed as was the government but as the government gained more powerful weaponry they passed new laws for the safety of the people, or so were the claims, and disallowed the people the same weapons as the government, as the military. The reality was by limiting the power held by the people the government was protecting the government, not the people, them they were enslaving. The one redeeming factor in a few selected nations is that the military, which holds the true and final arbiter of all power and thus the governance, is comprised of citizen volunteers and thus more aligned with the people than their political leaders. Even so, often the final decision lies with their commanders who they have been trained to follow and obey.

 

Should there come a point where the people and the government, not necessarily the highest elected officials but the so-called Deep State, the bureaucracy, should come into direct conflict over a power grab by the government which the people see as illegal and unjust and they were to rise up, if the military were to side with the people, then the power would return to be with the people and the power balance could be returned to the lines such as those in the Constitution of the United States or to an even older constitution, the one promised by Hashem to Israel where the Kings were to have limited power and wealth with the people and the tribes themselves holding the real power while the King was held short of absolute power as described in Devarim – Deuteronomy – Chapter 17: 14-20. This was the initial and first great limitation on political power to be introduced into human history. This limitation of Kingly power along with the Ten Commandments and the other precepts of Judaism upon which Christianity was placed like a cloak to conceal parts and regalize other parts and from this and with time came Western civilization and the modern Western World. But there are those on the extremes of society which the media falsely states posit on the extreme left and right, they are both extreme statists and anti-individualists, and wish to return all to the barbarous days of early history. And these are things which the media will control and spin to make their own power increased and merged with the government, the bureaucracy. Together they would drain the people of their freedoms, their wealth and over time their desire to live and be free. Once that spark has been extinguished, it will not be rekindled even in the time of their children or likely their grandchildren, if it will ever be rekindled. Should the Hebrew Bible ever be erased from human memory along with everything which it spawned directly, then the spark which kindled freedom will have died and been wantonly buried. This is what both extremes desired to bring about given the opportunity in Charlotte. Only one of them has the current ability to even attempt such a grab of power. That is the one backed by this monster we call the media, a product of society but too often corrupted by those hungry to tell everyone how they must live. That is the real evil of statists.

As If Only Followers of Islam Take Offense

 

In the wake of the “Draw Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest” in Garland, Texas, the world of reporting and opinion journalism has largely taken the side of the Jihadists taking great offense each attempting to out-do the Muslims in taking insult. Their grand excuse is that what Ms. Geller, Mr. Spenser and Mr. Wilders were not expressing free speech but were expressing hate speech and therefore not worthy of Constitutional protection. I wonder if this exception which makes the “Draw Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest” not protected speech as it gives strictest followers of Islam so upset that they believe that Ms. Geller, Mr. Spenser and Mr. Wilders, especially Ms. Pamela Geller, deserve to be put to death for their insult to Islam also apply to my distaste and deep seated ire when Islamic Imams and others when they call for “Death to Israel” or compare Jews to Apes and Pigs. Would the same self-righteous giants of the world of news and opinion journalism and other media moguls give the same leeway to Jews if they were to respond to such insult in a similar manner as the two would-be jihadists and assaulted the Imam making such reference and took out the same righteous indignation taken from such insult? We all know the answer to such a situation, they would claim that the Imam’s speech was protected as free speech and religious freedom and my insults taken were insufficient for me or others so taken with insults and angers to be permitted to take such drastic actions. There appears to be a slight difference of standards to which Jews, Christians, Hindus, Bahá’í, Buddhists, Shinto or virtually any religion other than Islam are held but to such behavioral expectations the most violent and easily offended practitioners of Islam are granted a special sympathy and understanding. So, according to some of the greatest stalwarts of the left, right and center of the media who control the reporting of news, opinion and the making of standards for the masses concerning that which is to be tolerated and that which must be persecuted as they deem that Islam has special rights when it comes to expectations of actions, commentary, even the simple drawing of pictures of the Prophet Mohammad even should they be honorable and perfectly good taste and distinctly noble by those outside Islam and even presumably by the adherents to Islam. Never mind that there exist a plethora of renditions representing the Prophet Mohammad in books and paintings from numerous periods of Islamic history.

 

Still, the lack of nerve shown by so many but at least there have been those who did stand upright and take a stand for free speech such as Foxx News Megyn Kelly and former CNN host Piers Morgan, while I doubt this will endear him to his old bosses and regain him his position with them, though perhaps it would be to their credit to take him back for showing a modicum of fortitude taking the path less taken. There were many others who have usually stood when others crumbled like a house of cards but this time they too tumbled and trembled from the fear of Islamist disapproval and violence. Such former heavyweights as Don Imus and the No Spin Zone’s own Bill O’Reilly among others went limp and wilted blaming Pamela Geller, and interestingly enough Pamela Geller alone not mentioning Robert Spenser and Geert Wilders taking on the most vulnerable target, the one already targeted for her standing against Islam and the attacks from so many Islamist groups such as CAIR which is tied to Hamas, Muslim American Society which has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and other groups which have also slandered and assaulted the reputation of Pamela Geller as well. It was a disgusting case of piling-on the weakest target. Fortunately for Ms. Geller, she has experienced such targeting before and continued to bounce back and continue in her crusade to uncover the less attractive sides of Islam and its most vehement and violent reactions which go beyond the accepted norms and expectations placed on all other religions.

 

The vehement attacks on Ms. Geller is a reaction she has faced before which will not have the effect which her attackers may hope it might as she has made a practice of walking the edge in her efforts to display the duplicity of the reactions to Islam and Israel and the media hypocrisy. We should not expect for Ms. Geller to calm her approach continuing forward though it is very likely she may not see any sympathetic media coverage with perhaps a few brave souls who have already warmed to her side already claiming that her freedom of speech though controversial is exactly the kind of speech the Constitution’s First Amendment was designed to protect. Where the First Amendment also protect the free exercise of religion, such freedom of religious exercise does not include murdering those who may not follow the precepts of ones’ religion and no matter what rules the religion exercises. Ms. Geller will continue pushing the envelope and continue proving that in the United States the people’s freedoms are paramount and will not be compromised simply because somebody’s sensitivities might be upset beyond measure and to the point of violence. Instead, if one uses violence to silence any American they may likely find the freedoms are better protected than initially believed. Let us hope that the freedoms guaranteed by the United States Constitution continue to be kept sacred and not compromised in order to placate the sensitivities expressed and even to respond to the fact that some were driven to violence as a response. Violence must not be used to sacrifice freedoms as once such a response to violence destroys freedoms then all freedoms will become suspected as vulnerable to violence attacks over time. Such weakness can eventually lead to the compromise of all the Constitutional freedoms and the end of the promises of the Constitution and Bill of Rights which have survived just over two-hundred years. Could this be the first assault which will lead to the compromise of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and an end to the freedoms which have been taken for granted by the American people since the institutions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were ratified and took their place as laws never before enshrined by any government in history. That may depend on the reaction of We the People and fortunately not on the weak kneed media elites, and for that the world can be thankful.
