Death of Two Cultures

The European Christian culture has been failing with so few attending to her needs that there has not even been an attempt at life support. About the only Eurocentric population which shows signs of life is the Evangelical Christians in the United States, and that culture could succumb to a numbing disease if indifference should they not continue to be led by honorable leadership. The initial signs of the disease of indifference and eventual collapse of the fold come when collecting monies for new buildings or redesign of the main chapel outweigh the spiritual which has simple needs and disdains frills. Christianity, on a brighter note, is flourishing in much of South America and southern and central Africa and there are few signs of the crippling disease afflicting these populations. Also at risk is Islam which is being overcome by violence which has largely been Muslim on Muslim violence except on the fringes where the Muslims fight or otherwise subvert any society to which they immigrate. With their increasing numbers their preaching and demands slowly evolve and change slowly advancing from immigrate to infiltrate to demands and finally to conquer and cleansing the population of the unbelievers and those deemed not pure enough in their faith. This was laid out by an entry in the CIA, “The World Fact Book, 2007.” We located this information in the below chart from a report by Edward Cline on the Family Security Matters website as part of an article titled, Jihad by the Numbers which was published on July 3, 2008. We have shortened the presentation to fit on a graph we drew adding a visual representation and the full thesis can be read at the above link. Anybody wishing a more detailed report with additional information including the actual nations at each stage from that date in 2008, most of the numbers are obviously dated but they give a starting reference point. The chart is below. The reality is the Syrian refugee policies of the Western World is a form of civilizational suicide. Importing refugees would be laudable but there should be restrictions such that the refugees the Western Nations are taking into their bosoms completely trusting that there is no possibility of anything untoward occurring is insanity. One reasonable limitation which would be justifiable would require that males between the ages of twelve to forty must be accompanied by their family, be that a wife and children or parents with siblings. People older than forty would be far less likely to be active in Jihad and thus no threat to the society as a whole. But allowing unchecked numbers of men of military age without families is not allowing refugees within the borders as much as permitting the forward advance of a military invasion to establish bases of operations.

Jihad by the Numbers

Some of the results of allowing normal immigration have been demonstrated in Paris with the riots each summer and the practice of setting vehicles alight burning into the night. These riots filled not only the poorer suburbs of Paris but also Marseilles and other French large metropolises with large Muslim neighborhoods. These styles of events have spread further to Amsterdam, Malmo, Berlin, Frankfort and other cities in Germany, the Netherlands and throughout Scandinavia. The only places spared thus far have been Switzerland and the Eastern bloc nations who refused to allow refugees to enter unless they were proceeding on to Germany, France or anywhere but within their borders. The other nations spared thus far have been those like Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy and others facing economic hardships severe enough that their benefit payments to citizens have been drastically reduced or temporarily, or maybe permanently, terminated as a measure to attempt to regain some economic footing and be able to climb out of their debt traps. Another limit which should be implemented is if these plans were to permit refugees from the horrific fighting and devastation plaguing Syria, then only those who can prove they are from Syria should be permitted entry. Is it unfair to demand that refugees from a particular civil war prove they actually resided where that war is taking place. Allowing also Afghanis, Pakistanis, Iraqis, Iranian and who knows where else to also take advantage of a plan to assist Syrians is only asking for trouble. Europe does not have the economic power to import an additional group of people who will begin to represent upwards from fifteen percent to as high as forty percent of the population, it simply can not and will not work. This also goes for the United States and especially Canada whose population is nowhere near that of other nations her size. What would be wrong with demanding that Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States plus Kuwait take in an equal number of refugees as has Europe? Jordan and Turkey most certainly cannot afford to take in vast numbers of new refugees despite there already being thousands in refugee camps pitched on their borders with Syria and already causing distress and other problems. Even with Israel quietly providing additional electricity and water to Jordan dedicated to assisting with housing and providing water and essentials for the growing hundreds of thousands who have fled to Jordan, the refugee camps collected near the border are overflowing and are out of room. Just what the Middle East needed was more refugees in camps, that has worked so well in the past. All this and Saudi Arabia which erected an entire tent city with airconditioned tents which has bathrooms and other amenities has simply refused to assist their Arab brethren (tent city pictured below).

one hundred thousand airconditioned tents Saudi Arabia to accommodate pilgrims on Hajj each has kitchen bathroom fireproof and never intended for refugees

There is a simple reason why Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf States or Iran with its recent inflow of billions of dollars due to the Nuclear Deal are refusing to accept even a single refugee and Iran is even providing some of their own to infiltrate Europe, and that is the key word, infiltrate. This is the beginning of the end for Europe as it has been known and it may already be too late to save all of Europe, but whatever areas can be salvaged, those efforts need to be implemented immediately as time is limited. The frightening thing is the coming United States elections, for President and Congress, is vitally important and will decide whether the United States joins the bulk of Europe in diving off the high dive into an empty pool without the waters of liberty and freedom to catch their dive as these waters are going to be drained away as the civilization is sold wholesale to the barbarians coming through the gates. What makes all of this so desperately sad is the people could still prevent the complete collapse of Europe but because they have chosen hedonism and self-interest over having real families with children they have chosen the path to oblivion. Some use their work as their excuse for not having children, others are honest enough to come out and say that they do not want the “burden” of a family with children, life is so much more fun when all your money and time is spent on me. Europe and most of the United States are made up of the “me” generations. The original “me” generation was the baby-boomers but there were so many of them there were sufficient numbers still having complete families. The statistics on the Millennials are even more stark than they were for the Boomers and many claim it was the poor economic state of the world during their prime family years and now they are gone beyond that point where they could ever have sufficient children to replace their numbers, let alone grow the population. Economic indicators still are pretty much stuck at zero and that is another item which had best be on the next President’s and Congress’s urgent ‘to do’ list. The work which would be required will take fortitude and a new outlook on the job of Washington D.C. The idea they will need to wrestle with will be two-fold; first they need to reduce taxes, both capital gains and business taxes and second they need to deregulate the nation starting from the top. Once this has been accomplished they can move on to doing something which should have been part of their jobs all along, reducing the size, scope, numbers and impositions of the federal government. They need to empower the states and disempower the federal government making all but subservient to the individual states. They need to go through every inch of the federal bureaucracy and see if it passes the Tenth Amendment test. The Tenth Amendment reads;

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

It is a remarkably short and concise statement which basically states that the Federal Government is restricted in all things and if at all possible for the individual states or the people themselves are capable of addressing things, then it should be left to their discretions and Washington should steer clear. We call it the mind your own business and stay out of ours amendment. Should the federal government actually restrain itself and remain within the constraints of the Constitution, and especially Amendment X, the nation would prosper and the people would rejoice in their new found freedoms and also have the control over their lives returned to their neighborhood and not way off in Washington, which in reality is far, far away from anywhere which has even a modicum of reality. Until Washington leaves much if not almost all of ruling and running the domestic life in the United States and instead works to settle differences between the states when necessary and otherwise allows them to rule themselves and the people can choose which state best meets their dreams, demands and choices there will be dissatisfaction with Washington and distrust of politicians and feel their lives are beyond their control. Ask the average American what they desire from Washington in particular and government in general and they will likely respond be left alone to run their own lives as they choose. Once the Federal Government takes its responsibility for protecting the people from the evils the world may send their way, their assigned duties are complete. That is presumably the first and foremost job for the Federal Government and is its most sacred Constitutional responsibility. Other than this it is to settle differences between the individual states and aid each in learning from the more successful states but not to interfere or force any state into changing their means of expediting their affairs as long as they harm no other state. Instead the United States Federal Government had joined the Europeans who have decided that suicide is their best means of survival.

They watch as their numbers of citizens drop and drop while their schools and churches lie empty as if disowned by their populace and believe they can fill the void with refugees from the Middle East and North Africa and they are making a dreadful mistake. Their belief that they can replace their population with Islamics who refuse to assimilate and instead seek to replace their society with their Sharia is worse than misplaced, it is suicidal and they will be the most likely to suffer the greatest fall. It is a shame that their people will also lose all they have and possibly their freedom and then their lives unless they surrender their lives and souls to Allah, the very souls they know not that they have. That the current President of the United states has been importing “Syrian refugees” by the tens of thousands very likely without the approval of Congress, but then this President has had little use for the Congress. One of the candidates for President has promised those who back this importing of “refugees” that they will bring them in at a rate of at least five times the rate should they be elected. Many of the American people know not of this promise and almost as many probably know little or care about the consequences which will result. They do not spend their time worrying about such things; their lives take sufficient amounts of their time as they care for their families as they should. They have faith that their government, their Federal Government, takes care to protect their shores and thus their families. If only they know, if only they knew.

What the Coming Republican Wars Doth Wrought

For those confused about this title, let’s first describe the coming conflict which could split the Republican Party wide open and possibly cause a disaster at the midterm elections. What some people refer to as the Old Guard or the Establishment Leadership Republicans are blaming the Party’s election woes on what they refer to as the Tea Party extremists and Constitutional purists. Meanwhile the more conservative Republicans and independents are accusing many of the longstanding Republicans such as Senators John McCain, Lindsey Graham and others as having slowly drifted away from their original conservative principles more towards the mainstream progressive big government middle which they claim they will no longer support demanding that their concerns be addressed and candidates more willing to back small Constitutional government be offered. Both sides claim that the only path to gain majorities in the House of Representatives and the Senate as well as any chance to win the White House in 2016 goes through the center of their constituencies. Obviously both cannot be correct and only one side will ultimately prove victorious in getting those they back onto the ballots where the elections will prove or disprove their contention to have the best chance to win in the election booths. The initial battle will come during the primary elections and the final determination of which extreme of the Republican Party is better able to get their people elected. In a perfect world there would be an equal number of Republicans of both stripe on the ballots so that a definitive result will be produced after the elections and to the victors should go the future of the Republican Party.

Needless to say, but should the Tea Party, conservatives, and Constitutionalists succeed in gaining a fair number of candidates after the primaries and they prove to be far more successful than the reputed establishment candidates the Old Guard will not yield and will likely claim that these candidates were only able to win in the reddest of red states and have no possibility of being elected in battleground states which are necessary in Presidential elections. This will be their argument which they will defend their right to retain control over the mechanisms and various committees within the Republican Party and attempt to minimize the numbers of Tea Party and fellow travelers from gaining much of a foothold. The people who are part of the establishment always resist change as change is the greatest threat to their hold onto power and control over who their party places on ballots and supports with funding and other forms of assistance. This is one area where the truism of, “Old habits die hard,” proves to be very true. The fight over the heart of the Republican Party will prove to be very interesting as it is our opinion that one side has all the mechanisms of power, financing and established structure including established mailing lists while the other has the excitement of new leadership, a waking support base, and a bigger and better message that will gain strength even beyond just the Republican Party and be attractive to many independents, libertarians, classical liberals and even some of the older established Democrats who are finding that the new Democrat Party has left them and no longer supports the same issues and views they did when they joined the party.

Going forward there is a possibility of a third party becoming established provided the Tea Party can enlist those others who also support their core issues which include but are not limited to smaller government, Constitutional government, more power and control at the State and local governments, government out of our lives, more liberty and a return to the principles on which the United States was originally founded. In many ways these people are purists who have one problem in that they are unable to compromise and tend to be rigid idealists. For those who agree with their general views and positions will see no problem in their intransigence but that also creates other problems. The one failing which strident conservatives are often guilty of is that they demand complete compliance with their every position before they will support any candidate. An example would be a fiscal conservative who is pro second amendment but will allow for stem cell biological experimentation and research using the existing supply of stem cells will run afoul of the most strident anti-abortion wing and they will never be able to garner the votes from that wing and that can cost them the election. This in turn creates an interesting dilemma where an establishment Republican candidate would be unable to win an election without garnering the Tea Party, conservative and Constitutionalist voters while Tea Party and related conservative voters face the problem of splintering their base voters as they all fall in separate camps around their core issues and principles which include such issues as gun rights, abortion, medical research practices, fiscal prudence, individual liberties, limited government, and societal morality. I guess the moral of the story is that no matter which political stripe a candidate identifies with there are a million reasons that people will find to pick them apart and any one of these would be reason enough to withhold their support. The candidate’s challenge is to find the message that offends the least number of voters and then sticking to the principles which they ran with when elected. Honesty in politics is more often rewarded than punished and that may be because in many ways it is so rare.

Final Look at Lessons from the Government Shutdown

The shutdown of the Federal Government has passed and things have presumably returned to normal, whatever normal is. The government workers who were furloughed will be receiving their regular pay so they will not be losing money and basically had a short paid vacation without using any of their paid days off. That has appeared to be a dangerous statement to make as those who are of the opinion that the shutdown of the Federal Government was the most dangerous and near catastrophic and reckless act in modern history have catatonic fits screaming something about the government workers had to wait an extra week from their normal pay cycle to receive their salary and don’t we realize that the grossly underpaid government workers all live hand to mouth and paycheck to paycheck and could go hungry, be evicted from their apartment or their house be foreclosed and countless other financial disasters befall them as a result. Never mind that I can assure you that there were no such catastrophes as if one government worker had faced such a personal tragedy the mainstream media would have had them in studios being interviewed 24/7. So, what were the lessons that we should have garnered from the government shutdown?

One of the first is that there exist far too many people whose specialty is hyperventilating while screaming about how the sky is falling as they run about with an acorn on their heads. OK, I exaggerated as they did not actually need the acorn. The predictions that the government shutdown was going to destroy the recovery and place the economy into a possible meltdown were pure fantasy and the reports that the government shutdown resulted in over two billion dollars of lost economic activity is simply further proof that way too much of the national economy and the GDP are tied to the government. One story was how West Virginia farmers lost their entire year’s worth of crops because the Department of Agriculture was mostly furloughed and that resulted in their crops not being sprayed with fertilizer and pesticides. If this is a true story then there is a serious problem existing behind the scenes and my bet is that the farmers are not covered by the Federal Insurance Policy unless their every action concerning their crops is first approved by some government overseer. This person is probably a relative to some higher official or some Congress person’s friend who simply stamps every request to take actions in taking care of the crops and might actually not even be able to care for an air fern themselves and knows even less about farm crops. Just about every horror story that was trotted out was also very likely a story that at any other time would have been a report on the obscene intervention of the Federal Government in people’s and business’s everyday life and activities. But there was far more to learn other than the government has grown well past its supposed Constitutional limitations and has permeated far too much of our lives and businesses.

Another lesson we learned was that in reality we have three political parties and two of them are working hand in hand against the American people and are simply in office to get reelected and to enrich themselves and their fellow politicians and big donor friends. The two main parties are the Democrat Party and the Progressive Elitist Wing of the Republican Party which also accounts for almost the entire Republican leadership in the Congress. That leaves the smallest party which are those few politicians who are honest in their desire to serve the public which elected them and are willing to go out on a limb and fight for what their supporters want no matter the cost. Where currently most of these public servants are from within the Republican Party, there are some from both the Democrat Party and one Independent that I can think of. I will likely get nailed for this but Bernie Sanders is one of these public servants who campaigns on the exact items and positions he takes while in office. Senator Joseph Lieberman was another such and that cost him the support of his own Democrat Party at the end of his career despite his getting the last laugh as he turned around and won reelection as an independent for his final term in the Senate. The lesson which Joseph Lieberman learned during his final run for the Senate is the same lesson that Senator Rafael Edward “Ted” Cruz and Senator Michael Shumway “Mike” Lee along with a number of Representatives from the House who are referred to as the Tea Party Conservatives, whether they are so affiliated or not does not appear to matter as it is a label that the powers that be are attempting to make into a slur and a criticism, are all learning as the leadership and the Progressives from their own Republican Party are reading them the riot act and will likely do everything in their power to unseat them even if it results in a Democrat being elected as they would prefer a Progressive and party be damned. The cannibalistic nature and disrespect shown by these progressives is very revealing and clearly displays their lack of tolerance for anyone who they see as in opposition to their progressive big government programs.

One of the most viscous and unseemly of these has been Senator John McCain with the most dangerous one being a man who works his dastardly deeds in the dark recesses behind the scenes named Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. There is one more gentleman in the Senate and one in the House of Representatives whom I feel must be mentioned as they not only are one of my Senators but also my Representative in the House and both men who have proven honorable during this last budget battle, Senator Jim Inhofe and Representative Jim Bridenstine. Senator Inhofe was one of the few established long serving people who took part as a substitute assisting in Senator Cruz’s twenty-four-hour filibuster and Representative Bridenstine has been a reliable Constitutionalist after winning election against the sitting Republican whom everybody had predicted would easily win reelection. Surprise! What we have learned is there is a political movement building that honors the Constitution and is behind a drive to reestablish Constitutional checks and balances, small government, renewed State rights, and an end to the bloated and wasteful over-spending that the bill which ended the shutdown was a perfect example of the problem. There was a set-aside of over one-hundred-fifty-million dollars for the widow of the late Senator Frank Lautenberg, a multi-millionaire at the time of his death. They also budgeted an additional two-plus billion dollars for a dam project for the preservation of the downstream lands. While the entire project concerns both Ohio and Illinois as well as Kentucky, the vast majority of these funds will go to Kentucky which just happens to be Senate Minority Leader McConnell. The most interesting item about this project additional subsidy is that it was proposed by California Senator Barbara Boxer in a not so subtle attempt to allow Senator McConnell to claim that he had nothing to do with the proposed funding as a leading California Democrat Senator Boxer proposed it and he had nothing to do with the idea. The truth is that this was simply a perfect example of one progressive giving a helping hand to a fellow progressive. The Democrat and Republican labels are no longer as important as is their view be it either Progressive big government or Constitutional limited government. There may be a new alignment coming with either a reclaimed Republican Party or possibly the Tea Party label might become a real political party and as soon as it has it will need to be watched and scrutinized from the very outset in order to hold them to their principles, something that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats follow their principles from the middle of the last century, the twentieth century. If spending is not brought under rational control soon then the United States will fail and go the way not of Rome, but of the Weimar Republic. That would be a very sorry state that would rock the entire world and put many national economies in dangerous and precarious states. What will you say when you grandchild asks you what you were doing when the Congress and the Federal Government took the United States over the cliff and into a financial abyss of oblivion?
