Who to Believe Over North Korea H-Bomb Test

 

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un’s word is truth, at least in North Korea where even looking at him askance will put you before a firing squad within the hour providing Kim Jong-Un doesn’t just have you shot on the spot. Knowing this, the rest of the world cannot put any real weight behind any unverified claims coming from any sources in North Korea including any journalist, western or otherwise, reporting from Pyongyang. Still, any explosive tests which register as in excess of a five on the Richter scale had to come from a very impressive explosive test. I remember when the North Koreans first tested a nuclear bomb and the measurement showed a yield of between four and five kilotons where some Western experts suggested that the North Koreans had simply loaded four or five kilotons of high explosive in the test chamber and detonated the entirety of the charges within a few milliseconds. Personally, I would find pulling of such an explosion using high explosives in a single mass more impressive and far more difficult than building a nuclear bomb producing the same yield. Within days there were the final reports which showed that the North Koreans had truly tested a nuclear device but it was relegated to being a crude device which was not likely a deliverable device. It took a couple of weeks before some experts put forth the premise that if the North Korean device had been designed to generate an EMP output, it would have been a fairly high radioactive signature and low yield of the size detected and that their having accomplished this would have been quite an impressive and threatening development. When the North Koreans tested another device with only a slightly higher yield, more in the range of the devices first used against Japan ending world War II, there was official admissions that there had been sufficient radioactive measurements detected by both satellite and earth bound test instruments.

So, where does all this leave us, the average and confused person worried about our stock prices, the new boss at work and all the other life troubles and mysteries? Honestly, waiting for more information on which to base a credible assessment, but since when had lack of concrete data ever stop us from giving it the old college try, whatever that is. There was one piece of so very vital and unbelievably obvious information in two out of every three articles we read informing us the reader that Hydrogen bombs are much more powerful and much more difficult to make than nuclear bombs. Well, thank you Captain Obvious. Now that we are all so vastly more well informed, let us venture forth. We also had the boilerplate reaction from South Korea expressed so succinctly by South Korean news agency Yonhap reporting that the South Korean government issued the following response to the test, “South Korea will cooperate with regional partners to make North Korea pay a price for its hydrogen bomb test. We strongly denounce the North for conducting the fourth nuclear test as the North pushed ahead with it despite repeated warnings by the international community.” Additionally there was the report that the United Nations Security Council will be holding a special meeting to discuss the recent test, which has garnered significant international worry. Well, guess we can rest assured that the Ace number one whiz kids from New York in Turtle Bay are on the case so we can all sleep assured of absolutely nothing.

 

Perhaps we should find out what the experts have to say now that the political absurdity class has chimed in with their normal blather. Despite the seismic shockwave of moderately impressive magnitude, we did not feel a thing so we are with the experts here; experts say a hydrogen bomb most definitely would have had to generate one many times as greater than what was measured, OK, with them on that as attested, nothing felt here. Oh, strike that, our science advisor said not to be silly, we were way too far to have felt anything, and we are reporting from the wrong planet, what? Oh, wrong side of the planet, whew, was getting worried. Bruce Bennett, an analyst with the Rand Corporation was quoted telling the BBC, “The bang they should have gotten would have been ten times greater than what they’re claiming. So Kim Jong-Un is either lying, saying they did a hydrogen test when they didn’t, they just used a little bit more efficient fission weapon, or the hydrogen part of the test really didn’t work very well or the fission part didn’t work very well.” Chinese military expert Du Wenlong made a similar statement which many have taken as further proof that the test was a dud or simply not as advertised, a hydrogen bomb. This sounds so much like the initial reporting on the first nuclear test by the North Koreans where they claimed they would have gotten an explosion nearly a factor of ten times with a real nuclear device only to find out later that there are actual nuclear devices which such a low yield is the exact signature their test or even use would produce. When further data was gathered it became obvious that there were anomalies still present at the test site which might have been induced by an extremely large magnetic pulse, exactly what would have resulted from an EMP device, or so many nuclear scientists reported. I was waiting to hear from President Jimmy Carter as he, after all, received a B.S. degree from the United States Naval Academy in 1946 in physics and in the Navy he became a submariner, serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets and rising to the rank of lieutenant. He was also chosen by Admiral Hyman Rickover for the nuclear submarine program. He was assigned to Schenectady, N.Y., where he took graduate work at Union College in reactor technology and nuclear physics, and served as senior officer of the pre-commissioning crew of the Seawolf, the second nuclear submarine. Would we have finally had him speak on something he was actually trained to know? Maybe not, we might have been expecting too much from old Jimmy.

 

Every expert simply had to show us their credentials were valid by pointing out that nuclear bombs are fission and hydrogen bombs are fusion, glad they cleared that up. Now let us muddy their simplistic description. A regular nuclear bomb actually detonates in two stages. The first stage is a high explosive charge which either propels a bullet into a core forcing them to reach critical mass and produce the nuclear fission or shaped charges are carefully triggered using flash detonators as they provide the separation of detonations such that only the triggered section of shaped charge explodes when its particular detonator is triggered and these flash detonators fire with very accurate timing far beyond the capability of a normal detonator and this compresses the fissile material which cause the nuclear explosion. Despite there being two stages to the nuclear fissile explosion due to critical mass being achieved, only the nuclear explosion would be detected by satellite monitoring as they monitor the flash wave of light. For a hydrogen bomb there is the a nuclear fissile explosion, a normal nuclear bomb, which then forces the fusion by reaching sufficient pressures and temperature for the fusion of hydrogen atoms and these emit two separate, though closely sequenced flashes which can be detected by satellites. These satellites use a system referred to as ‘bang meters’ which if they receive the double strike with the correct separation they know a hydrogen bomb has been detonated. The United States, Russia and probably China if not others have such detection satellites in orbit so if the North Koreans did detonate a hydrogen bomb successfully these and other satellites would have reported the test almost immediately and the main nuclear powers would have received such data almost immediately so any ambiguity on their part is completely intentional.

 

On the completely trustable front, White House press secretary Josh Earnest suggested Pyongyang was lying, according to comments carried by Business Insider quoting him as saying, “We’re obviously going to continue to look at this by monitoring the situation, assessing the available data and evidence,” Earnest said, adding, “But the initial analysis is not consistent with the claims that the regime has made of a successful hydrogen-bomb test. There’s nothing that’s occurred in the last 24 hours that has caused the U.S. government to change our assessment of North Korea’s technical and military capabilities.” Well, that ought to settle it and we bet that President Obama likely called President Carter and after speaking about his brush with cancer got down to the important stuff, like if President Carter had viewed the tapes of President Obama and his problematic sand trap golf swing and as a side not requested President Carter’s expertise on the North Korean hydrogen bomb test at which point President Carter likely blamed the test on Netanyahu and the IDF. Then there was the State Department spokesman John Kirby who issued a statement positing that, “The United States government judges North Korea to have conducted a nuclear test yesterday. We strongly condemn this violation of U.N. Security Council Resolutions.”

 

What do we know for sure? North Korea has definitely tested a nuclear device magnitudes more powerful than any past nuclear test. Whatever knowledge was gleaned from this test will be, if it already has not been, shared with their scientific fellow scientists in Iran. Additionally these two powers have shared technical developments and carried out test for each other for quite a number of years now. Both sides are gaining knowledge without having to test these items within their own national borders thus North Korea gains rocket and missile as well as other weapons systems while Iran can test new nuclear designs in North Korea thus appearing to have observed at least that part of the nuclear agreement. Whether the device was fission or fusion, it was considerably more powerful than any previous test. The Western World is playing down any significance of the test despite whatever nervous feelings may be being felt in Europe knowing that Iran will benefit from this North Korean tested nuclear device. We have not received a straight answer about the complete knowledge that Western Intelligence Agencies actually know about this nuclear test in North Korea right down to whose design was being tested. We cannot rule out the probability that this was a joint effort between Iran and North Korea and if this was just a more efficient nuclear test, then we need to ascertain if the device was weaponized through miniaturization such that the device can readily be fitted to the Ballistic Missiles both Iran and North Korea possesses. There are more additional questions than there have been official statements and this is not likely to change in the near future and will only come to the surface if somebody leaks the true reality to the news services and they see fit to run with this potential bombshell of information. We cannot rule out Russian assistance in these events or anybody else. So, all we can do is pray and wait to see what comes next. North Korea has previously tested such devices twice in rapid succession; so we can expect a second test within the next four to six weeks. Such developments are simply further proof that the world keeps getting more and more dangerous and we are rushing forward without a care that the brakes are out and the downhill grade has increasing steepness and the only consolation we can take is it will be a wild and dangerous ride.

Islamic State is not the Main Threat, Iran Is

 

Islamic State is not yet a problem so large it cannot be dealt with in a matter of weeks, not months, not years, but weeks. President Obama was on the right page when he referred to them as the Junior Varsity and he ought to know as he armed the Varsity with his Iran agreement. Granted, as far as any intelligence which has been revealed to any source we have found would admit; Iran does not yet have a practical deliverable nuclear device. Sure Iran could build a nuclear bomb and possibly a thermonuclear bomb, a hydrogen bomb. The problem they face is twofold. First is the device would be crude by modern standards and would be too cumbersome for placing on a missile and Iran does not have any heavy bombers which are able to penetrate any radar nor have the range to strike the United States. Secondly, the device would be trackable by nuclear detection satellites and thus there would be no element of surprise and at least the United States military and probably others would have early warning should such a concentrated amount of nuclear fuel be moved; and all a nuclear device is, is a concentrated amount of highly enriched nuclear fuel which can easily be pushed to critical mass. The only way that Iran could currently conceal a nuclear device would be to build the device sufficiently deeply underground and then contain it in lead or other means of preventing its detection by satellites and other means, load it onto a ship and sail it to its target detonating it as soon as the first alarms were sounded by the detection devices currently in place at most major shipping docks. The problem will be what Iran develops within the next three to five years as they master miniaturization thus making a high yield thermonuclear device deliverable on any of their missiles, particularly any of their suborbital and low Earth orbital missiles which by then will have the capability to strike anywhere on the planet.

 

We know from monitoring their launches that Iran has, as has North Korea, mastered the launch angle which the Russians first proposed and the Chinese were informed of this weakness who then passed it to the North Koreans who have shared this information with Iran that the United States defensive grid and radars all point northward where a perceived nuclear attack by the Soviets was feared would strike going over the North Pole. Thus, should Iran develop a nuclear warhead and the missile with which to deliver it all they would need is a missile capable of crossing Antarctica and coming upon the United States crossing the Gulf of Mexico and within a minute detonating approximately three-hundred miles over St Louis-Kansas City area using a low yield high EMP device, exactly what intelligence from numerous sources has indicated Iran has concentrated most of their research into manufacturing, and thus crippling the entire North American grid overloading well over three-quarters of the main transformers to overload and potentially explode and minimally melt down and knocking their delivery systems out of order for the foreseeable future and which would take decades to replace causing an estimated eighty-five to ninety percent of the human life to die as a consequence. Making matters worse, the only nations currently producing such transformers are Germany and Japan. That, my friends, is the real nature of the threat to the United States and all her allies counting on her promises of defense and protection. Where will those allies sit when the United States is incapable of accessing her satellites to provide intelligence and other warnings? That is the big question.

 

The astonishing is the price of hardening the power grid, the protecting it from an EMP attack by any enemy as well as protecting it from solar coronal mass ejections (CMEs) as well as from storm damage would cost between a half of a billion dollars to as high as twenty-five billion dollars depending on how much of the grid one would desire to protect. The higher figure would protect the entirety of the electrical grid leaving only what is deemed the “last mile” vulnerable which is the lines coming to the poles and small transformers for home delivery vulnerable which thus would make a single strike EMP device a local failure of power which could be repaired in months, not years, and would effect a relatively small area. This higher price would include hardening the parts of the grid delivering electricity to hospitals, government communications centers, phone company service, military facilities, police and fire service and other vital systems. Granted, it would still be a disaster for an EMP event be it a solar storm or a nuclear or other EMP attack but it would be survivable. If work began this month the hardening could be mostly complete and the grids switched over to the new below ground delivery system within five years, it would only take funding and Congress is aware of this situation having monitored its price since it was first researched in the 1950s. Had the monies used to research and re-research this problem and its solutions have been used after the third assessment to installing the obviously necessary fix, it would have been accomplished long ago and the discussion would be ended. The problem with making the necessary repairs and alterations to the system is simple, once repaired it is no longer a campaign issue and everybody knows that a campaign issue, especially one so universally accepted as common sense, is far better than a problem resolved. The issue is that nobody can take credit for repairing a problem beyond maybe two or three election cycles (two years so for a Senator it would be one election cycle) while leaving a vital problem which is a winning position for both parties to continue to need addressing can be a campaign winner for decades upon decades if left wanting, which do you think the idiots in Washington would want more, the repair or the perpetual campaign device where incumbents can point to their votes to research an EMP vulnerability one more time or their opponent claiming they have ignored the problem too many times when it should have been addressed. Almost a no-brainer, a recurring issue is far more useful than any repair of a major vulnerability, obviously. If the American public, even as small as ten percent, were to make the actual repair work their main priority and establish an NGO to lobby Congress and the White House these repairs would be financed and gone within one Senatorial election cycle (six years). But of course this is not as sexy a topic as say neutral-gendered public restrooms.

 

The vulnerability of the North American electrical grid is actually becoming a vital issue as it would take ordering some fifty new transformers to begin the main work such that as the system is hardened simply by burying it twenty yards underground, it would require less but placing it that deep would allow for almost any building to take place without causing disruptions caused by new buildings construction needing to rerun electrical grid wiring. In urban environments and presumed expansion of large metropolises the depth could be increased placing it beyond any conceivable construction projects with the possible exception of an underground city, another idea from the fifties we have not seen as the science magazines envisioned along with cities under the ocean and flying cars, though progress is good on the flying cars and not so much the others as people like being able to walk outside and feel the breeze on their cheeks and the warmth of the sun while taking in some rays on a summer day. Under ground and under water make these little pleasures a tad more difficult, not insurmountable, but more difficult. So, the question we need to be asking the American public is, when are they going to take up this as their main concern every election cycle thus letting Congressional Representatives and Senators alike know that if they are not actively pushing and bringing legislation to the floor every six months then they will be voted out of office. Make them accountable for having the monies granted to the states to harden their electrical grids. Furthermore, they must have a date set for all work to be completed, granted if the deadline is five years it will take fifteen, and have the Department of Energy (DOE) follow up and report to Congress and the White House every six months. Make completing such a project a national priority, that is completion and not debate and researched, as the research has been done and redone and done again ten times over and the time to implement is far beyond overdue and needs to be done, not still overdue.

 

Both North Korea and Iran have been furthering their research into an EMP attack allowing them to strike the North American electrical grid and then sit back and watch the United States and Canada suffer a blow placing them back into the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries at the very start of the electronic age and widely distributed power systems being built. Knowing this threat is rapidly becoming a reality and the race should be on whether such an attack can be mounted successfully against the hardening of the electrical grid getting it sufficiently far along to prevent most of the damage from such an attack. Intelligence reports have already shown the advances, and sizeable they are, of North Korea and Iran, with assistance from China, making the preparations to allow for such an attack. Congressional studies having been done at least a dozen times and still no action on what should be and is a federal responsibility yet still there are no plans being put into motion with only Texas making and executing the initial phases for hardening the electrical grid should alarm the public into demanding action. The race is an obvious one placing the Iranian ability to deliver a nuclear or electrical bomb as an EMP attack over central United States against the United States hardening the North American power grid. Thus far only North Korea and Iran are participating in this race while the United States is still rubbing its hands together treating hardening the electrical grid as a perpetual campaign issue to never be resolved as it serves them for the problem to persist. Where are the people and their demanding that this problem be resolved? Perhaps if somebody were to get the public involved and demand, then this project can be completed before Iran or North Korea uses the vulnerability as a weapon, destroying the United States by taking out their ability to deliver generated electricity to the general public. It is obvious that posing this as a threat to life as we know it has not engendered any serious concern so it is time to strike a blow below the belt, as it were. There need be a large effort on social media informing the American people that should an EMP wave strike their electrical grid, be it a solar flare or an attack by North Korea or the soon to go nuclear Iran that they would no longer have cell phone service, no more texting, and no more following the Kardashian on the web or watching Game of Thrones on Television and no more microwave dinners, perhaps then they would wake up and smell the odor coming from the unpowered refrigerators. Just saying. What will it take to wake the American people to demand this be taken seriously by their Representatives and Senators in Congress and whoever will be in the White House next to get-er-done! Iran is counting on the United States to remain unaware and unconcerned in order for them to strike and wipe the United States off the world’s scene leaving them as the inheritors of the world.

 

Iran could squash the Islamic State in under six months and under six weeks with the assistance of Putin and the Russian military. That was proven by the cruise missile attack made this week by Russia from ships in the Caspian Sea striking Raqqa, Idlib and Aleppo provinces of Syria causing heavy casualties to Islamic State forces stationed in these areas. Further, you will note the lack of concern over the use by the Russian forces in Syria of disproportional force as the Islamic State cannot launch cruise missiles from ships, they have no ships. Further, where is the concern over collateral damage, civilian casualties or of causing collective punishment and targeting innocents? Where are the perpetually concerned activists who flock to every court in the world which will hear them, storm the United Nations General Assembly and Security Council as well as the United Nations Human Rights Council and every NGO concerned with human rights as well as the editorial page of the New York Times and other leftist news networks, newspapers and other media? Oh, excuse me, I thought this was Israeli cruise missiles, go back to sleep, nothing to see here. After all, it is not as if anybody in Moscow would care one iota about any rulings in any court, commission, council or NGO even if one were to have the nerve to stand up and accuse Russia of war crimes, come-on, give me a break. So, in case we were not paying attention to the entire Middle East conundrum, Russia and Iran are cutting a swath out from the easternmost borders of Iran facing India through Iraq, Syria and Lebanon thus establishing and cementing in place a Shiite Crescent which we defined as one of the main designs the Iranians placed in their list of priorities, even first on the list right ahead of nuclear weapons and using them to rid the world of the Great and Little Satans, the United States and Israel, thus the EMP coverage above. This Iranian Shiite Crescent would include all of Iraq except for the Kurdish regions which they would name as Iraq as the rest of Iraq would have been absorbed into Iran along with Syria and Lebanon, though Syria would be managed by Bashir al-Assad and Lebanon would be a semiautonomous state owing fealty to Iran (see map below).

 

 

This is the desired and long sought Iranian Shiite Crescent across the Middle East reaching from the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea after Islamic State Defeat and Iran Surge Retaking Syria for Bashir al-Assad with Hezballah retaining their iron-fist control over Lebanon and the Iraqi Shiites retaining their hold on the southern half of Iraq. This could very well be the starting positions for a final World War resulting in exchanges of nuclear weapons before the end is reached. This map also depicts the areas bordering the Iranian influence which could become the future red lines and the trip wire for a horrific conflagration, exactly what the Twelvers desire to bring back the Twelfth Imam and the Islamic Messiah who will lead them to finally realize their destiny of world conquest. Despite what many in the West view as an outdated and dead idea, the Iranian leadership dreams of world conquest and desire to that end.

 

 

The main force blocking the Iranian dreams are held by the anti-Assad forces and the Islamic State. Currently these two forces are fighting one another which Iran sees as to their advantage and as military doctrines point out, when two of your enemies are fighting each other, arm both and sit back and watch. This is exactly what Iran is doing while Russia attacks both keeping either from attaining a victory. When the time is ripe and the Iranians are ready to spread their voodoo that they do so well, their moves will be signaled by their overrunning the Islamic State and wiping out the opposition to al-Assad returning him to power where he can rule over the rubble. When the Iranian Army, aided by shock forces from the IRGC (Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps), crash into the Islamic State from both sides aided by United States and Russian air power with the Russian operating within Syria and the United States striking in Iraq, then they will have aided Iran in establishing what they feel is required to pursue goals at the next level. These attacks will also serve a secondary objective, the acquisition of Abrams Main Battle Tank which they will be able to reverse engineer its best features and develop the next Iranian Heavy Battle Tank ending their reliance of Russia for their main battle tanks. What the world need understand is that Iran is not aiming for simple hegemony over the Middle East surpassing Israel in military strength; their intent is replacing the United States as the main superpower of the planet. The majority of military assessments of Iran place their aspirations as being to simply be the main power in the Middle East. Where that is their immediate goal, it is a goal on their way to far loftier goals. Once they assume the role of superpower in the Middle East it is their intent to take control of the GCC oil fields and of the two holy cities of Mecca and Medina thus claiming the title of the central force in Islam. Should Iran establish these facts on the ground it will amaze most military and political researchers on how fast Shiite Islam completely eclipses Sunni Islam. There will be a rush for Sunnis to declare their perpetual and complete devotions to Shiite Islam and Shias will be the predominant form of Islam practiced in the world though the majority of these new Shia Muslims practices will almost assuredly appear no different than their practices under Sunni, only their adherence to the Ayatollah over any other religious leader and their imams will slowly transit their practice to celebrate the Shia holidays and follow Shiite rules and power structure.

 

Even the fighters from the Islamic State might see it as to their advantage to switch sides and serve Iran if given half the chance. It is exactly what Osama bin Laden stated in video tape released after he attacked the United States on September 11. 2001, “When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse… We hit her the first hit and the next one will hit her with the hands of the believers, the good believers, the strong believers. By Allah it is a great work. Allah prepares for you a great reward for this work.” Iran is the coming unarguable strong horse with Shia Islam following right behind attracting the worship of the soon to be majority Shiites over the has-been Sunni should Iran get half the chance to complete their current plans. In a warped manner, Islamic State has served a two-fold purpose of stymying the Iranian plan for a quick destruction of the anti-Assad forces in Syria and completing his crescent of power across the entirety of the Middle East and then being able to center their attention on the oil fields in Kuwait and northern Saudi Arabia as well as the oil fiefdoms along the Arabian coastlines which would allow Iran to tie a direct route to Yemen allowing for Iranian forces, likely mostly from the ranks of the IRGC to assault the western edge of Saudi Arabia gaining a front along the Red Sea, cementing their control over what passes through the Suez Canal and thus controlling one of Egypt’s main sources of income, as well as capturing Mecca and Medina and with them control over the world’s one and one third billion Muslims. Once Iran has gained that much influence over the Islamic world the rest of the world, in their thoughts, is simply ripe for them to pluck off the lowest hanging branches of the tree. Iran has a master plan to become the new master race replacing their friends from World War II, the Nazis. In 1935, Reza Shah asked foreign delegates to use the term Iran replacing their historical name of Persia. Despite most of the world having referred to Iran as Persia, the people of Iran, since the Sassanid Dynasty when it was called Iranshahr or Empire of Iran, had been using the name Iran, as it translates in English, in conversation and whenever referring to the people as well as the nation internally. It was considered quite interesting that the timing of the request from Persian to now be referred to by the old but not as ancient name of Iran as it coincided with the rise to power of Adolph Hitler, the Nazi Party and the concept of a master race called the Aryans which translates to Farsi as Iran. Despite the history behind the name, changing the name from Persia to Iran, meaning Aryan, was quite strange and could only be determined by the Western powers as depicting the preference of the Persian, now Iranian, leadership to the Axis powers and not the allies. For many decades, Iran and the German Empire had cultivated ties, partly as a counter to the imperial ambitions of Britain and the Russian Empires but which proved problematic to the allied powers as World War II placed the necessity for taking sides, especially in the oil rich Middle East. This was where the long established friendship between Iran and Germany caused concern which was the reasoning behind the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran from August 25 through September 17, 1941 thus preventing Iranian oil from giving Germany the lifeblood of war, petroleum for the engines of aircraft, armor and vehicles of all sorts, the very necessities for a modern military even during World War II. In conclusion, Iran has a similar vision as did Germany in the lead up to World War II. Iran now sees themselves as the new chosen to rule the globe, and yes, there are those who still believe in world conquest. All one need do is listen to the speeches translated from the first Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini or his successor the current Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The western world ignores the warning signs at their own risk, and a great risk that is. When somebody joins in on a group chant of “Death to America, Death to Israel!” then both America and Israel should sit up and pay attention. Israel has shown that she is and has been paying attention for quite some time but the United States appears to be more focused on Israel and the demand that they give back to the Arabs every inch of the land they demand and yes the leadership of the United States, especially in the State Department, are fully aware that the Palestinian and Arab demand is for every inch of Israel with the Jews removed by whatever means are available. If no nation on Earth will take them in then the other solution must be implemented, another final solution to a Jewish problem. The Jews have been down this road before despite the evidence out of Tel Aviv which appears to be adamantly ignorant and mislead by leftists of the world uniting in declaring Israel the next Palestine and the Israeli Jews and Christians as the next genocidal massacre as the world shrugs and claims they did not see it coming and were planning on mobilizing but they took too long, so bad, how sad, you western-world cad. Why BBC, Just Tell Us Why the Distorted Reporting!

 

The Palestinian Media echoes the same themes consistently yet even when translated word for word none of the world leaders bother to listen. They constantly claim they hear the plaintive cries of the Palestinian people and the BBC just admitted to translating the children they interviewed by consistently replacing their use of the word “Yahud,” which means “Jew” but they replaced that with “Israelis”. This was the first of the misrepresentations made by the BBC in their special titled; “Children of Gaza” which the BBC claims tells how the children of Gaza were affected by “Operation Protective Edge” last summer. This was reported by Israel National News in their article BBC Admits Covering Up Palestinian Anti-Semitism which the BBC’s own chief international correspondent, Lyse Doucet, explains away this obvious blurring of the children’s statement’s meaning brushing it aside almost as if to claim the difference is meaningless and we at the BBC know what is really in their hearts as they feel as we do about the situation and, as she states, “We talked to people in Gaza, we talked to translators. When [the children] say ‘Jews’, they mean ‘Israelis.’” This revelation comes on top of numerous reports and statistical investigations of the BBC’s coverage of Operation Protective Edge last summer reaching the conclusion that watching the BBC coverage one would be left believing that the Israelis were the aggressors and Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah and the rest of the terror groups in Gaza were simply defending themselves. It was particularly noted that the BBC had footage but refused to air these clips depicting Israeli running with their children seeking to reach the shelters within the fifteen seconds they have at best when the “Code Red” sirens sounded in Sderot and refused to show even one of such clips during their entire coverage choosing to emphasize the trauma on the Palestinian children dismissing the damage done by the over twenty thousand rockets and mortars fired at the Israeli communities within ten miles of Gaza, not to even mention the thousands more that have rained down further into Israel where the warning time can approach ninety seconds for the furthest reaches in Israel. Unfortunately, should Hezballah in Lebanon also start a war in support of Hamas and both sides start launching rockets and missiles then the times for the Hezballah rockets and missiles are exactly the opposite with the north of Israel having that fifteen seconds maximum and the south the almost leisurely ninety seconds. I am sure that most, if not the vast majority of British citizens, believe that Israel is at least the size of the British Isles and some possibly equate it with the United States not realizing the actual size of Israel compared to fortress Britain as some history books have cast the British Isles noting the natural mote which has protected Britain from the marching of soldiers onto her shores having to cross the English Channel saving Britain from invasions from before the Spanish Armada right through World War II and the idea of a channel crossing and the cliffs of Dover preventing the Nazis from marching straight into Britain after their victory over the British at Dunkirk. This misrepresentation by the BBC is not limited to this one time maligning Israel while absolving the Palestinians and neither is the BBC alone in slanting the news from the Middle East especially when referencing Israel. The most consistent representation that is more bias than outright lying is to depict Israel in every conflict as the aggressor and the party which fired first and sought the conflict while declaring the Palestinians, including terrorist entities such as Fatah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the other, lesser in size but not acts or intents, terror groups as the poor oppressed victims who are so weak they only can use rocks against the Israeli war machine. These rocks are currently rockets and ‘guided’ missiles (guided is what makes a rocket a missile but with the untruths in the reporting we figured the superfluous descriptor of guided was necessary) with warheads reaching sizes of 200kg as sits atop the M-75 which is modeled as an exact copy of the Iranian Fajr-5 series which have a range of 75km and which allows these rockets to easily reach Tel Aviv and strike at the Jerusalem metropolitan area as well and possibly reach as far north as Haifa. Hamas building these rockets has only been made possible because Iran provided Hamas and Islamic Jihad with the plans, instructions for manufacture, the necessary specialized equipment and schematics and all other required information and production specifications. The events which preceded the start of Operation Protective Edge included in chronological order initially the Hamas kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teens whose kidnappers are still being sought, then three Israeli teens, one mentally different, murdered an Arab teen claiming the right of revenge and now serving time in Israeli prison, followed by an uneasy ten days where over a thousand rockets rained down starting with three or four the first day and ramping up so as to resemble the frog being slowly brought to a boil in a pan of water until they were launching hundreds per day the two days before Israel opened fire with some reaching Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem areas which were fortunately protected by Iron Dome batteries which intercepted rockets, missiles, mortars and other projectiles with approaching ninety-percent interceptions. It was the use of the Iron Dome and the building of shelters in every apartment building (every apartment in newer buildings under new laws and regulations) as well as in general areas and inside most office buildings, malls and other public places while Hamas would place their launchers knowing the Israeli artillery and tanks have return fire computers which allow for placing return fire almost immediately to within a few meters of the launch site and hoping they also hit the nearby shelter, hospital, school, nursery or other locations endangering their own civilians intentionally in attempts to either prevent Israeli retaliations or produce dead civilians, especially children, with which they intend to provide for news outlets to plaster their front page top of the fold captioned telling how Israel targets civilians when the media and anybody following the actual events realize is more propaganda than fact. There are even times Israel has been called to explain their wanton destruction of a hospital or school struck with rocket or artillery fire falsely accredited to Israel. The best example came from Operation Protective Edge when the United Nations built Shifa Hospital was struck with a large warhead which immediately was blamed on Israel. The United Nations, European Union and near countless countries and NGOs went purely ballistic in their condemnations of Israel but further study including inspection by outside observers of the entry angle of the warhead and other information including the IDF return radar systems tracking of the four Hamas M-75 version of the Fajr-5 Iranian-made 100 kg warhead missiles fired which showed the actual trajectories with one striking the Shifa Hospital, one striking Ashkelon, one striking the Mediterranean Sea and one striking the Shati Refugee camp in Gaza. Why Palestinians are kept in a refugee camp that is located in an area turned over to Palestinian control when the buildings holding them resembling more an apartment complex than a refugee camp such that all Hamas and friends need do is take down the fence and let them get on with their lives but they would rather force their own people to suffer so they can include their numbers when attacking Israel in the media for keeping those same Arabs in refugee camps, totally ridiculous and the world, including and especially UNRWA, need to liberate the camps within Gaza as well as those within the areas ruled autonomously by the Arab Palestinian Authority which continues to hold Arabs in refugee apartment buildings near Ramallah and in Jenin among others. BBC slanted over the top coverage which demonizes Israel while turning a blind eye to the terrorism and attacks intended to cause maximum casualties both in Israel and to Gazans who are placed in harm’s way through intentional actions by Hamas and the other terror outfits is almost legendary. After such obvious slanted coverage became too much for even the BBC to presumably tolerate which one incident makes the entire case when a BBC journalist described on air her tears at seeing Yassir Arafat in poor health. In response to serious accusations leveled at the BBC by some NGOs who investigate honesty and accuracy in reporting including tracking biases and other means of distorting the news, the BBC took it upon itself to do an intense internal investigation and to get to the bottom of whether or not there exists any bias intended or accidental in their reporting on everything Israel. Senior Editorial Advisor Malcolm Balin conducted an investigation to determine if such biases existed and to document those instances where such was found and recommend what changes were necessary to correct these minor and unintentional quirks, after all, is not the BBC the news service much of the world tunes into for their information and by which their opinions are determined and if the BBC is presenting biased information the ramifications reach around the globe and can be so detrimental as to completely alter the perception of the world towards the unfortunate victim of such misreporting and slander. Making matters even worse are the near countless numbers of news agencies who use the BBC news feed as their bible when it comes to unbiased and honest reporting and thus any bias or errors, intentional or otherwise, has a rippling affect to the news in places one might not suspect. Additionally, the BBC is often used and quoted in the New York Times, the print and online American version of trusted news and is also distributed world-wide, thus one can start to get their arms around the problems caused by any BBC slanting of news. The Balin Report was completed in 2004 and as of yet unreleased and furthermore the BBC has invested thus far approaching, if not breaching, a nice round number of £300,000 ($460,000 US) fighting against Freedom of Information Act appeals in order to keep their own internal analysis secreted away from the prying little eyes of an anxious world.
