The Case in Store for America

There will be a new Congress coming this January which will prove to be informative in numerous ways. Some of the coming news will be readily reported and some will be lauded as coming better late then never and the real hope that the American democracy will survive and much will be ignored, refuted and readily pooh poohed. Politics will be even more centered around President Trump with everything currently being done to weaken his Presidency continuing only to be joined by strong new efforts originating in the soon to be Democrat controlled House of Representatives. Those who have continued thus far protesting and bombarding social media reposting every anti-Trump post no matter how ridiculous the post will continue to serve that purpose giving us all the information which denigrates President Trump with varying degrees of accuracy and amusement. This, they will claim, is doing a public service providing those who may have a loose connection with sanity which caused them mistakenly to vote Donald Trump President in a fit of temporary, or worse, sanity to realize the error of their ways and thus prevent them making the same mistake in 2020. The numbers of people combating these postings will continue to drop making these heroes of America continue their campaign in the belief that they are preventing the reelection of President Trump. Polls will continue to vary wildly from week to week while many people play games when answering these poll questions simply because they do not care about polls and prefer to just have fun. President Trump will continue to have support percentages and disapprove percentages add together to measurably over 100%, an interesting result which implied that there is a group of Americans who disapprove of President Trump while supporting him. Oddly enough, this has some basis in theories about President Trump. There is a theory that a percentage of the American population disapproves of Donald Trump, the person, but support President Trump due to the political policies he is enacting or attempting to enact.

There will be differences in both houses of Congress. The easier change comes in the Senate where President Trump has gained sufficient support that even should Senator Mitt Romney become the next leader of the “conservative” resistance against Trump, he will not garner sufficient Republicans to prevent President Trump having the Senate approve every appointment presented the Senate which is simply a reasonable choice. We fervently believe that should President Trump attempt to appoint somebody whose qualifications for the office are in question, then the Senators will debate such qualifications and suitability for the office professionally and possibly reject such an appointment. The Senate may be requested to hold a special session by the House of Representatives where the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court will preside over the Senate. For those still in doubt, they will be holding trial for President Trump or members of his administration or possibly judges he has appointed such as Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh under Impeachment charges. They will return votes refuting these charges dismissing such allowing all to remain in their positions. So, Impeachments denied and appointments approved and that is the new Senate.

The House of Representatives has already announced what their planned agenda is going to be. First, at least four or five committees are going to entertain criminal charges against President Trump with an intent of bring the first Impeachment charges to the floor of the House. Some of the other committees are taking a more original approach by seeking to bring Impeachment charges against a number of the appointments made by President Trump with at least one announcing they plan to bring Impeachment charges against Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh. Other items which will meet similar rejection from the Senate upon arrival are the attempts to reestablish all of Obamacare, Universal Healthcare via Medicare for all, repeal of the Trump tax cuts and reinstituting strict carbon control in an attempt to end all reliance on coal, oil, natural gas and any other fossil fuels. The Senate and the House of Representatives, beyond the approval of President Trump appointments which will pass the Senate, will waste their time and the taxpayers’ monies rejecting virtually everything proposed by the other and the House of Representatives will also reject anything coming from the White House.

But there will be one group which will continue to attempt to make any progress in reaching the conclusion they have been tasked with, and that is the Mueller Special Counsel investigation. Never mind that the only items they have found were extraneous charges of minor malfeasance by a small number of people who were not part of the Trump campaign or administration at the time of their acts. But Mueller has been tasked to investigate President Trump for violations under which he may be Impeached, be that the presumed Russian collusion over the election defeat of Hillary Clinton or anything he may find related or not. Nobody has been all that upset over the little fact that the Mueller investigation has exceeded spending twelve-million dollars thusfar and has shown no signs of making any real progress against the President and has been using what many do believe are inappropriate tactics. It has been stated that Mueller has threatened any of the people he finds even the slightest impropriety, that he still inflates the charges by adding in charges of conspiracy to commit more serious crimes or finding some means of dismissing or reducing sentences if only they will provide evidence, manufactured, invented or actual, against President Trump or those closest to him. There has been evidence of using the perjury trap where you have one person swear to an exchange imagined or real but in a form or order of words differing from another person which Mueller is targeting as his next step to the President. This is followed by a charge of perjury which allows the same trap to be set as Mueller works his way up the path to his eventual target.

President Trump and Speaker Pelosi

President Trump and Speaker Pelosi

There are some things we can all but guarantee. The most obvious is that should the Mueller investigation be closed by the White House, you can bet your bottom dollar that soon to be Speaker of the House Pelosi will bring obstruction of justice charges against President Trump and use that to bring Impeachment against President Trump. The majority of the time spent in the media will be interviewing Democrats from the House of Representatives and select Senators while also building up the numerous individuals seeking the Democrat nomination for President to unseat President Trump. Should a Republican announce their intention to run against President Trump in the Republican primaries, they will get an inordinate amount of media time and be billed as the coming of the nation’s greatest hope. Should they succeed in promoting somebody who replaces President Trump as the Republican candidate, that person will overnight become the most devious and evil person whose mere existence on the ballot throws into question the sanity of those who voted for him during the primaries. There will be questions about how they won the primaries against Trump and they may even claim that the Russians were promoting them because they were disgruntled with President Trump as he did not do as he had been expected to perform. Meanwhile, whomever wins the Democrat primaries will be lauded as the sole logical and sensible choice to help the United States recover from the disasters caused by President Trump and to actually get to doing the work of the people which had been ignored for the past four years. The fact that the Democrat House of Representatives and the Republican Senate could not find any common ground will be blamed on President Trump as he obviously proved to be ineffective and the reason no mere amateur should be elected President and only politicians are qualified to hold the office.

Should President Trump be the Republican candidate, whether winning against opposition or waking to the election after being unopposed, we suspect that Mitt Romney was placed in the Senate as the Senator from Utah such that he could establish a reasonable position allowing him to oppose President Trump in the Republican primary elections. We can predict the entirety of the campaign which President Trump will use for 2020. He will place Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi front and center in his speeches about his inability to get the people’s work done without the cooperation of both Houses of Congress. He will request that the people elect a majority of people who are willing to work with him to get the remainder of those items of the people’s work done, be they Republican or Democrat, as long as they support lower taxes, deregulation, and strong borders and that he requires over sixty in the Senate which means that the majority of those Senate seats being voted need to be filled by those who will support his efforts. President Trump will possibly claim that he faced the revolution lead by Senator McCain and then had an oppositional House of Representatives and plead with the voters, though pleading Trump style will sound more like marching orders, for the people to support him for the election and in giving him a Congress which will permit him to finalize items which he was only able to get temporary motions passed. He will explain that his tax cuts are temporary and he wants to make them permanent and perhaps even make those tax cuts deeper such that the government takes even less from the people and reducing the taxes and regulations on domestic business so as to continue to stimulate the economy such that the nation reaches full employment which will allow the additional people being employed will reduce the strain on government while adding to the tax revenues. If you desire to see a similar campaign one need only look back to President John Fitzgerald Kennedy who campaigned on lower taxes and strengthening the military so as to keep world peace and give the American voice more impact in the world. The main difference will be the enemies which each identified with Kennedy making the Communist spread in the world while Trump will talk about the threats to our democracy as we know it.

The campaign will be fiercely fought no matter whom the Democrats choose to be their candidate. The two people who have received some coverage of being front-runners have been Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton. We will go out on a limb and claim that neither will become the Democrat candidate for President and it will not be Elizabeth Warren either. The Democrat field might actually draw a sizable number of candidates somewhat like the Republican list last elections. The primary campaigns will probably be more interesting than the actual Presidential elections. What would be guaranteed is that should President Trump be reelected, the demonstrations around the nation may surpass anything ever witnessed to date. The leftists will revolt against such a result and demand an additional Special Council to investigate this renewed tragedy which had to be due to some devious means as Donald Trump could not have won as everybody they know would never have voted for Trump.

Trump Russia Probe is Now All About Israel

We know what many are shaking their heads asking, ‘Really BTC, not everything is about Israel.’ Well, true, but let’s dive down this rabbit hole and see where it leads us. The reporting we saw came from an article titled Does Mueller have an Israel problem? Quoting from the initial paragraph, it states the following;

According to The Conservative Review’s Jordan Schachtel, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has exhibited a “disturbing pattern” of suspicion directed against Israel over the years – which continues to this day.

Ominous start, but why not explore the remainder and then all make up our minds. Looking at Jordan Schachtel’s article in Conservative Review titled “Robert Mueller’s Israel Problem,” we read in his first paragraph,

As the Mueller probe drags along into year two of its supposed investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, a disturbing pattern has emerged. The special counsel has become obsessed with the state of Israel. The former FBI director is deeply suspicious, to the point of total paranoia, that there is a grand conspiracy involving the Trump campaign and transition officials as potential agents for the Israelis.

Is this starting to get a little more interesting yet? Well, we also went through a number of the Daily Caller articles where we finally found the source for the initial intrigue where presumably George Papadopoulos plead guilty to lesser charges in order to avoid the threat from Mueller that he would prosecute him as an Israeli spy. That source was presumably George Papadopoulos’ wife, Simona Mangiante. While looking at the Daily Caller articles on the Mueller Probe, and they apparently are obsessed with this probe, we found this little jewel,

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team is looking into White House adviser Jared Kushner’s contacts with Israeli officials in the days leading up to the election.

Eventually, running all of this backwards far enough and we find the Wall Street Journal article, “Special Counsel Mueller Probes Jared Kushner’s Contacts With Foreign Leaders” where our suspicions were finally verified on what the entire Mueller Russia Probe is all about, the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 condemning all Israeli settlement activity beyond the Green Line (the 1949 Armistice Line) including East Jerusalem and everything that entails claiming it constitutes a “flagrant violation” of international law and has “no legal validity”. It demands that Israel stop such activity and fulfill its obligations as an occupying power under the Fourth Geneva Convention. We all remember the claims that President Obama had absolutely no part in the authoring of this resolution, and we agree as it was entirely written in Tehran and was last swipe at Bibi Netanyahu and a conjoined effort by the Mullahs of Iran and President Obama probably with Valerie Jarrett acting as the go-between. So, one last quote from Conservative Review’s Jordan Schachtel,

The special counsel has become obsessed with the state of Israel. The former FBI director is deeply suspicious, to the point of total paranoia, that there is a grand conspiracy involving the Trump campaign and transition officials as potential agents for the Israelis.

President Obama probably with Valerie Jarrett acting as the go-between

President Obama probably with Valerie Jarrett acting as the go-between

Now we can continue with the rest of this now that we have found that kernel of reality, which binds it all together. Mueller, who is a close friend of President Obama and was hand picked by the Deep State at the Justice Department with high recommendations from then FBI Director James Comey was chosen to lead this expedition as revenge for President Obama on President Trump because Trump had the audacity to make an attempt to thwart President Obama’s United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 with which he was going to show those upstart Israelis who really holds the power. Can one really believe this entire mess has been a personal vendetta also joined into with the Clinton’s as Trump had just bested Hillary Clinton in an election which was supposed to coronate her as the heir to the throne. One can only be tempted to substitute these characters into the series “Game of Thrones” and debate who is going to have their head chopped off next. Just to set things straight, Mueller would be the Ice King’s dragon sent forth to destroy the normal with the Ice King and the second in command being Obama and Hillary and the Ice Wall was the Constitution of the United States, that which protects individuals from political vendettas. Now back to our regularly scheduled article.

We have Papadopoulos pleading guilty to lesser charges after Mueller, the Great Inquisitor, threatened him with prosecution as an Israeli spy. Papadopoulos knows there is virtually no evidence which would link him with being an Israeli spy, but also knows that there are many people out for blood in this matter and he did not desire any of it being his. He probably thought it is better to require a Band-Aid than surgery to treat the wounds he was going to receive. So, he pleads guilty, turns evidence as to whatever Mueller demands and walks away a few months later with all his parts in order. We understand completely, when choosing between a cement truck and a tricycle, you pick being run into by the tricycle over run over by the cement truck. We now know how they got the presumed goods from Papadopoulos to go after General Michael Flynn with misleading the FBI about his conversations with the Russian ambassador about a UN anti-Israel resolution in December of 2016. This is an easy trap to set; you have Papadopoulos swear in a deposition that he heard General Michael Flynn say something simple. Then you have James Comey claim in his deposition that General Michael Flynn also said the same something simple. Both agree that what Flynn stated to the FBI was not the actual truth and bingo, two against one. Now you have General Michael Flynn caught in the Mueller bear trap with the intent of turning him against President Trump and then you have impeachment proceedings to remove Trump, or better yet, conspiracy to alter the outcome of an election to take to the Supreme Court in order to overturn the election results because there was tampering with the vote and really Hillary Clinton won the election. That would really be selected, not elected, the chant we heard back during George W. Bush’s first term in office after the Florida debacle.

But there is still the matter of Barack Obama getting his revenge on Trump for attempting to get Russian President Putin to have his United Nations Ambassador veto President Obama’s United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 against Israel. Well, it failed anyway probably because President Putin, like President Obama, is allied with Iran and as they wrote the resolution, or helped possibly, he had to back his important Syrian ally. What is so very interesting is what has happened since. President Putin was following what then President Obama desired probably figuring that Trump would be a one-term President and a complete fiasco and failure having no influence or power. President Obama had all the signs of power and was the safer bet. Putin likely wishes for a do-over as President Trump has proven to be far more than an empty suit. Nowhere has this been more evident than concerning Israel with the official recognition by President Trump that the United States sees Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moving the embassy to Jerusalem with great alacrity. That, in and of itself, has all but cancelled President Obama’s Resolution 2334. Yes, we know that President Trump gave lip-service to the moving of the embassy has nothing to do with the final borders the two sides might agree to in the end. With all that has happened in the past year, it has become obvious that it has been the Palestinian Authority which has prevented any steps towards peace to even those who have been asleep for the past fifty years.

Further, Mueller, as part of his pursuing charges against President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner’s part in the attempts to shoot down President Obama’s United Nations Resolution 2334, sent an investigatory team to Israel to speak with as many people who might have had contact with Kushner. This effort was all part of seeing if Kushner might be acting as an Israeli agent which would bring him instantly under charges. They turned over every leaf, combed every paper trail, and still came up empty. Interestingly, quoting once again from Conservative Review’s Jordan Schachtel,

Mueller’s suspicions of Israel — and Jews as a whole — go back to his early days as the FBI director.
In 2004, the Mueller FBI alleged that a massive Israeli spy ring was operating out of the Pentagon. The stunning revelations sent shockwaves throughout the intelligence community, and it was followed by endless editorials painting Israel as a nefarious actor seeking to undermine the United States.
Yet it later turned out that the allegations were completely bogus. There was no Israeli spy ring, but rather, what appeared to be a deliberate attempt to target Jews for prosecution. There were several disturbing instances of the Mueller FBI running sting operations attempting to “tempt Jews” to betray their country. “All turned down the offer,” according to the Washington Post. Mueller’s attempts to lure Jews into a trap failed. The botched operation confirmed the troubling reality that elements of the U.S. intelligence community remained attached to anti-Semitism.

Meanwhile, the investigatory team sent to Israel was tasked specifically to track down the activities of at least two Israeli social media and consulting firms. Mueller and his prosecutors suggested in leaks to the media, something done way too freely by everyone from the Justice Department, that the Israeli firms probably have colluded with the Trump campaign to secure his election victory. After all, it simply could not have been the will of the American electorate, those ones which President Obama once quipped, “They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

We used to believe the Mueller Probe was largely about overturning the Presidential Election as well as, failing that, preventing President Trump from accomplishing much of his program by hogtying as many in his administration with fighting against seemingly honest efforts to remove Trump from office. This has so catastrophically failed that even many Democrats now see the Mueller Probe as a boat anchor preventing their ship from sailing. Trust that it is more than that anchor as the mainstream stalwarts of the Democrat Party insist on firing their cannonades through the decks and the bottom of the boat which is sinking their hopes for the midterm elections. The Republican Party stands to gain in both houses despite recent efforts by retiring Speaker Paul Ryan to sabotage Republican gains. All the Republicans really need control is President Trump and his Tweeting something horribly offensive or some other unforgivable gaff. Also, the Republicans should do everything quietly and behind the scenes to encourage Mueller to continue full speed ahead and continue leaking like a sieve. The media will take care of the rest, as they cannot help themselves. If they even get a whiff of something anti-Trump, they are right on it and running with it to their ever-appreciative editors. But could we ask one more favor of Mueller while he is running to and fro attempting to chase his personal daemons, could you actively attempt to link Israel with Trump and Russia and spell it all out in the media and throw in a full recounting about how the Israelis foiled you uncovering their spy ring in the Pentagon and how this is all about Israel preventing you from finding the truth about Trump because, well, you know, they control Trump and the government. Of course that would mean they chose you knowing that you are looking for the Israel angle almost as hard as you are the Trump and Russia angle. Keep up the good work, really.

My How the Tables Have Turned

Richard Nixon was wrong, as wrong as wrong can be. He utilized the investigative powers of the Federal Government, the FBI, Justice Department, IRS and whatever might have aided his reelection, against his opponent, anything and anyone was a target, forging a theft which was his downfall. This was criminal in every way and President Nixon was fortunate to only have to resign and not spend many months or years in prison. His reputation was in tatters with everything positive he had accomplished now tarnished. His actions resulted in half a century of more and more liberal policies and culture taking over America. Now the tables have turned and the shoe is on the other foot and a million other trite sayings.

The questions now revolve around where will the investigation lead and who will be held culpable. Some of the names tossed about range from lesser known until the recent political free-for-all while others are household names. Who had heard of Mueller, Comey, Clapper, Steele, Brennan and other names which will become all too familiar in the near future, as everything plays out? Then there are the two names which we all are already very familiar with, former Secretary of State, Senator for New York and First Lady Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama. The same questions from the Nixon era will be heard all over again. Questions such as how high did it go, who knew and when did they know and a host of others will be thrown around and featured in article after article. Then there will be the big question, who, if anyone, will fall on their sword to save those above them who actually gave the orders. This was done and bartered into making himself into a folk hero of an odd sort when Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North in full uniform took total responsibility for the Iran-Contra Affair. His standing at attention while taking the oath and taking his valiant responsibility clearing President Reagan of any accountability.

Mueller, Comey, Clapper Brennan, Steele

Mueller, Comey, Clapper
Brennan, Steele

Now we have heard reports that former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper lied in their testimony given to Congress. This is a crime, obviously, defined by U.S. Code sections 1621 and 1001 of Title 18. These crimes could result in a maximum five-year prison sentence and potential fine. Both men are highly unlikely to actually face anything more than fines, especially if they are willing to give testimony leading to indictments of what are often called bigger fish. The truth should be sought over making the entire affair into some kind of vendetta. But there is a larger question involved this time around; is it worth the time, effort and attention for the Trump Administration to expend when the same efforts can be used to accomplish the Trump and the nation’s agendas.

This is what we will attempt to predict. President Trump is unlikely to seek convictions of his former opponent, Hillary Clinton, or of former President Barack Obama. What the FBI and other agencies desire may be something of a different matter. The FBI and CIA will likely desire to clear their agencies of any hints of corruption and could turn on their former heads which might not fare well for James Comey and John Brennan. These two disgraced their agencies and these are not agencies which can stand for politics entering into their lairs as these are investigatory agencies whose reputation is for providing administrations of both parties with equal diligence. But as far as Clinton and Obama, they will probably not face any serious difficulties, well; Obama will not likely be facing any charges. Hillary Clinton may face some charges for her handling of classified information while Secretary of State but will get a pass in sentencing if the charges are even pursued. The one thing is this might prove to be an interesting circus to watch while the antics are filling the three rings with the media doing its finest job at making molehills out of mountains. In the meantime, the media will be making mountains out of absolutely nothing over the presumed Trump-Russia collusion fantasy. The mainstream media has become so unfortunately predictable.

The main driving force in these investigations will probably be completely independent of President Trump and his closest team members. Coming from the business world, President Trump probably looks at the moves and machinations which were used to attempt to defeat his election as a done bad deal and in business; you move on from such difficulties and simply hope to never need to deal with such people again. President Trump is more forward looking and wants to get things accomplished, not dwell on things he would rather simply ignore and forget. President Trump has plans which he wants to get done and knows that looking back is counter-productive to getting everything accomplished as quickly as possible. President Trump probably has some long term plans which he realizes will take a second term, and he knows a second term is not a guarantee. This means he has a driving force to get as much accomplished as quickly as possible. This has been evident to anybody who has watched the blizzard of Executive Orders he issued almost as soon as he returned to the White House after the Inauguration. Things have slowed somewhat as much of what he desires to accomplish requires Congress, and Congress is a problem for Presidents, something Prime Ministers are unfamiliar with facing. A Prime Minister has the support of his coalition until he doesn’t, and then he has a problem which is called a new election. Presidents know when their next election is, they just are never quite sure if Congress will work with him, even if his party is in the majority. President Trump has realized that in spades.

That brings us to what President Trump is probably most concerned with over the coming six months, the mid-term elections. He is about to attempt what most Presidents have found very difficult, increasing his party’s numbers in both houses at their first mid-terms. Sitting a mere 9,387 kilometers, or 5,833 miles, from Washington D.C., we must rely on articles to get a feel for the electorate and information on the tricky Senate where only one-third of the Senators are up for re-election at any election cycle. From what we have read, the predictions are all over the place with some predicting the Republicans gaining three to five seats while others predict the Democrats taking control of the Senate gaining as many as seven or eight seats. We are glad we will not be in the business of predicting the outcome of the thirty-five seats up for election, apparently there are a couple of special elections making it more than the normal thirty-three seats. Perhaps when the coverage becomes somewhat more informative closer to the election and we will know who made the biggest gaff or posted a disturbing Tweet we will be bold enough to take a stab at a prediction. The only prediction we can make now is that President Trump will probably work hard to retain the House of Representatives and try very hard to increase his majority in the Senate by at least three seats giving him a better advantage at accomplishing his legislative agendas. This will mean much more to President Trump than wasting efforts on gaining conviction against people for past grievances. That he will leave up to the wheels of justice which move ever so slowly that we often forget what the crime was when politicians face prosecution for past misdeeds.
