Human Right Council Hubris Continues Unabated

 

Name a nation which does not have a document or two or even a dozen which sets the reason the nation was established and the basics which were the founding principles. Some were written as the defining the reason for their establishment often to accompany their fight for independence. For the United States that was the Declaration of Independence based on the drafted statement written by Thomas Jefferson and which was accepted almost unaltered. Britain has a number of such documents aligning the power structure amongst other declarations by the Monarchy and the Magna Carta which was the first step in cracking the previously unscalable wall around the Monarch. In most nations, it comes in the form of a declaration of independence which lays out the basics. Often these declarations are restated in declarations passed as laws which simply reestablish the basics while altering nothing in the existing legal system. Such declarations are more often than not ignored beyond those behind it declaring that they are the most nationalist of those amongst the government. This often is used in their campaigns and for little more. But then there is the exception when such a declaration is challenged simply because this restating of the obvious was done by Israel. How dare the Israeli Knesset be so arrogant, so audacious, so haughty, so contemptuous of all that is true to pass a law defining the reasoning behind the establishing of the State of Israel. Well, at least that is the position of the Human Right Council who has demanded clarifications from the Israeli government regarding the Nationality Law.

 

Behind this inquisition daring to threaten a member state of the United Nations with condemnation if clarifications are not received within sixty days is inspired by four representatives of the United Nations Human Rights Council. The entire imbroglio came following complaints filed by the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens of Israel and MKs from the Arab Joint List, headed by MK Yousef Jabareen. How surprising that the exact forces which have voice within the Knesset, the Israeli government, also have full rights in the courts of law, in business, in choice of residence, in religious practice and even in political power including voting and running for office. Arabs are represented in every public forum in Israel even to having sat as justices on the Israeli Supreme Court and they still use every level at their command to attempt and destroy the nation. These forces are set to try and destroy the Jewish State and replace it with an Arab nation where the Jews will have no rights as they will be Dhimmis. This is the driving purpose behind these actions and as is well documented, if any arm of the United Nations from the General Assembly, Human Rights Council, UNESCO, UNICEF and countless NGOs has the slightest reason to work for the destruction of the Jewish State, they will leap anxiously and with great fervor to work towards that end. This is no different. Israeli United Nations Ambassador Danny Danon responded stating, “The Council has no right to demand anything from us until it removes its clear bias against the State of Israel. This is another product of a campaign of lies and slander directed by some Arab Knesset members against the State of Israel in cooperation with anti-Israel elements in the diplomatic arena.” All this leaves is to discuss what the Nationality Law actually states. We have already discussed the Nationality Law in depth in our article, “Israeli Nationality Law and What it Does Do, Does Not Do and Why.” So, allow us to use this instead to discuss the real problem, the United Nations.

 

The United Nations originally consisted of fifty-one nations when it was founded in 1945 and grown from there. In 1955, sixteen nations were allowed to join and became members. Seventeen more nations were added in 1960 followed by a steady increase until the joining by South Sudan bringing the number of members to 193 member nations plus a number of observer entities amongst which are included the Vatican and Palestinian Authority. These increased membership led to two main groups which have united to all but rule the United Nations. These two groups are the 57 Muslim countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation with a subset of the 21 Arab Muslim states, the Arab League and the other is the NAM, the Non-Aligned Movement which claims over 100 nation members. Needless to say, but we will, combined front by the OIC and the NAM voting mostly together on set campaigns using the United Nations for their own needs which often consist of two main threads, redistribution of wealth from the developed world to the NAM nations and the destruction of the State of Israel. When they can easily garner between one-hundred-ten to over one-hundred-fifty votes at any moment in the General Assembly and through their numbers also run the majority of the separate organs of the United Nations. This has led to the plethora of useless motions against Israel all targeting her right to continue to exist. The actual numbers are frightening and one basic proof of the length these nations have diverted the entire forces of the United Nations is that the Human Rights Council has as a requirement that every meeting called must start with a motion denouncing Israel. This practice is what led to the reestablishing of the Human Rights arm of the United Nations, but apparently, this is the one item which will trip up every arm of the United Nations in our age.

 

This latest singling out of Israel for passing a Basic Law which restates the founding principle of Israel as the Home of the Jewish People, a restating of well-known history, formalizes and fixes the National Anthem to be Hatikvah (translates to “The Hope”), sets the flag of Israel to be the blue Star of David with two horizontal lines, with one above and the other below, set upon a white field (see image below), recognizes the national language to be Hebrew and sets Arabic as having special status (this may be amended to include a few other languages as special as they belong to other minorities who resided here at the founding of the state), formalizes that the laws of the State of Israel are to be based upon Jewish Law, formalizes that the Jewish Holidays are national holidays, formalizes using the Hebrew calendar and lays out a few other lesser items. Perhaps the most drastic of these statements is the National Anthem which Arabs and others have claimed that it has no relevance for them. We would be willing to bet that the national songs of many nations are not particularly relevant to the entirety of their populations. This should not be anything of great surprise to the world but when it concerns Israel. Any reason no matter how minor or tortured an excuse is good enough, where do we sign on to absolutely any condemnation of the sole Jewish State. But they will decry any condemnation that they are being anti-Semitic by claiming that they do not hate the Jews, they just have problems with Israel. Many of these nations would be hard pressed to claim they have any love for the Jewish People as many had forced or coerced their Jews to leave under duress after their wealth had been stripped and when seeking a new home found that most of the world had no room and posted “no vacancy” signs except Israel. These events took place largely between 1949 through the early 1960’s and the fact that unless these refugees had relatives willing to sign declaring financial responsibility for their relatives, the Jews were unwelcomed virtually the world over and almost one-million Jews came to Israel from the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Arab States. There is no mention of restricting or adding to the rights of any group within Israel as these same items have been stated in the Israeli Declaration of Independence as well as other documents and laws but had not been combined in any place made a Basic Law. The Israeli Declaration of Independence was not set as law and remained a founding document; this incorporated these items in law as a statement of facts and nothing more or less. The attacks on this law as discriminatory as they claim there are no other nations which claim religion as their founding principle in any form the world over. Really, we will need to look at that.

Let us simply look at the nations which may have had some laws or declarations claiming a religious statement in their founding or placed such into law and based their laws on a religious legal structure. We have the Islamic Republic of Iran which bases all its laws upon the Quran. Its governance is based upon religious power with the Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah at the head of the government and whose decisions cover all the various levels of power. Saudi Arabia declares that the Quran and the Sunnah (the traditions of Muhammad) are declared to be the country’s constitution. Sharia is the basis of the law from where Sharia applies in full to much of the world could be claimed as Sharia free (see map below). Further explanations can be found here. On forms of Christianity as the official religions of nations have some obvious states such as England and the Anglican Church, the Church of Denmark is a branch of the Lutheran faith, Vatican City is the beating heart of Catholicism, Tonga declared to be based on the Free Wesleyan Church, Norway is another declared Lutheran nation, Malta in their constitution declares the state religion to be the Roman Catholic Apostolic Religion, Greece declares the Greek Orthodox Church, Liechtenstein has declared the Catholic Church and the Faroe Islands declared to follow the Church of the Faroe Islands (more information can be read here). Apparently the declaration that Israel as the home of the Jewish People being the sole nation basing itself on a religion is not as alone as we have been led to believe, which really should be no surprise.

 

Levels of Applied Sharia in the World

 

Part of the United Nations obsession with Israel, which has been further manifest with this inane demand for explanation from Israel for declaring a basis for the nation and defining its flag, national anthem, language and secondary languages, and being based on Jewish Law (Torah) and the home for the Jewish People is not so singular but simply another example of the United Nations incriminating Israel for having the audacity to do the exact thing numerous other nations have done without drawing even a wrinkled brow. Actions such as this latest incredulity performed by the Human Right Council is the exact reason that not only Israel, but also the United States have announced and are resigning from the Human Rights Council and UNESCO until they are capable of rectifying their overt obsession over Israel and any minutia they find upon which they can write words of condemnation around not overlooking anything. We are waiting for UNESCO to claim that Israel is using codified traffic light signaling designed by Islam five centuries ago where there was a yellow before both green and red and three flashes of the green before the yellow followed by red in order to make intersection less likely to result with two vehicles contenting identical spaces of roadway. Just for information, from what we have witnessed, this system has worked quite well. Additionally to the numerous special sessions called by the Human Rights Council to condemn Israel, actually more of these than they had regular sessions where they opened by denouncing Israel, it is their way of clearing their throats, there is UNESCO which has determined that virtually every Jewish and Christian religious site is actually an Islamic site with no historic reference to Judaism or the history of the Jewish People. Of course these claims are so deeply steeped in Islamic propaganda that as the final prophesy have replaced all of Judaism and every form of Christianity and if your faith is Abrahamic and not under Islam, then you are an apostate. This is becoming the basis of many declarations which have come from UNESCO as well as even UNICEF has decided that Palestinian Arab children are far more worthy of sympathy and protection than Jewish children across their common borders. The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women considered a proposal sponsored by the Palestinians and South Africa which condemned Israel for the Honor Killings and other deprivations of Palestinian Arab women and was adopted by a vote of 27-2 with 13 abstentions. The United States and Israel voted against it and European Union members abstained. The United Nations obsession with Israel destroys their credibility and erodes the effectiveness of everything else they perform which damages some very worthwhile areas. On the plus side of the ledger, it is not completely empty. There was a resolution calling on developed countries to make their knowledge and expertise in the field of agricultural technology more accessible to the developing world introduced and written by Israel which passed in the General Assembly by a vote of 118 countries in favor, with 29 abstentions and no objections. Even a broken clock is correct twice a day. Who knows, another fifty years and we receive yet another “atta-boy” from the tyrants on the East River in Turtle Bay.

At What Point is it Sedition or Treason

 

According to this article, a group of Arab Knesset Ministers from the Joint Arab List are preparing a resolution at the United Nations to condemn the Nationality Law according to reports from Hadashot News. These members of the Joint List met with United Nations officials alongside Palestinian Authority representative Riyad Mansour with other senior Palestinian Authority officials in order to arrange the passing of the anti-Israel resolution claiming that the Nationality Law has numerous Apartheid provisions within. It is still unclear where they plan to submit such a proposal, according to our source for the story, but we are fairly sure that they would present this at least initially in the General Assembly and only after winning a lopsided victory in the General Assembly would they even broach the idea of submitting it to the Security Council. The reasoning is simple, in the General Assembly of the United Nations any condemnation of Israel is all but guaranteed to receive comfortably over ninety votes in favor and only receive about thirty votes against with the rest abstaining or voting present or not casting their vote at all. On average of the one-hundred-ninety-three voting members, only anywhere from one-hundred fifty to one-hundred-seventy-five actually vote on any resolution. This means the guaranteed ninety plus votes any condemnation of Israel would receive is sufficient to guarantee every condemnation of Israel will pass in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). This is why this is the body of preference for condemning Israel in a forum guaranteed world-wide news publications of the content of any such resolution as if it were the gospel truth according to the UNGA. This venue will be blown up by the leftist media whose articles, which are more editorial than straight reporting and we here at BTC do not claim to be anything but opinion and when reporting news stories do our upmost to remain un-opinionated, will have titles such as UNGA strikes down Israeli Nationality Law, which is beyond their power to do but who cares as it sounds ominous.

 

For those interested or needing a refresher in what exactly the Israeli Nationality Law is (also called the Nation-State Law), we have it in its entirety at the bottom of our article Leftists, the Israeli Nationality Law and President Trump. We cordially invite everyone to read the law and attempt to find anywhere in the law, as written and not how some left or far-left news source restates the law injecting their poison pen to add a word or two which completely alters the meaning, word for literal word and realize that it is simply a declarative sentence which defines the Nation State of Israel as the Jewish Homeland having the name of Israel, the symbol of the state is the Menorah with seven branches having olive leaves on each side and the name Israel across the bottom, describes the Israeli flag, states its National Anthem, Jerusalem as her eternal Capital city, its mission to provide protection for the Jewish People wherever they are endangered and the observance of official Holidays being the Jewish holidays and National dates from Israeli history, usage of the Jewish or Hebrew calendar as well as the secular calendar and lastly stating that Hebrew is the official language while Arabic language has a special status in the state and so forth. These were all items accepted as valid and in place before this law was passed and are now to stay in place going forward in time until eternity or a Knesset passes a law countermanding this law or a constitution is established where these items are redefined. All of this brings us to why now did this law become necessary, and that is where it gets far more interesting and explains the reason for near treasonous actions, if not actual treason, by the Ministers of the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset.

 

The answer is actually quite simple, there are forces in this wonderful world which are actively undermining Israel as being the Jewish homeland and the State of the Jewish People, strong and powerful forces such as the United Nations and in particular the General Assembly, UNESCO, the Human Rights Council, UNICEF and any number of other United Nations branches, affiliates, agencies, organizations and NGOs. Another group fully intertwined with the attempts to destroy Israel is the European Union and before you call us paranoid delusional, please read this article which will give ample reason for our animus against the European Union. Then there are the efforts of many independent European nations such as Sweden and Ireland and many between. Finally, it should not even require stating, there is the entirety almost of the Arab and Muslim Worlds with very few exceptions and their allies in what is referred to as NAM which stands for non-aligned nations, a voting block of mostly third world and developing nations many of which are allied closely with the Arab states and more often than not ruled by a dictatorial leader whose elections are often appearing to have been rigged or simply there are no elections as such things are for lesser nations according to their dear leader. All of these forces and also a number of leftist NGOs, many of which have the fingerprints of George Soros all over them such as the New Israel Fund, a really non-assuming name implying it is new and desires to assist Israel. The New Israel Fund finances anti-IDF efforts where the Israeli military is defamed often using former soldiers who were and always will be disgruntled and all too often people who are pretending they were soldiers even wearing uniforms to add authenticity telling horrid and gruesome stories about torture, mistreatment of prisoners, and all the same stories we heard back in the 1960’s about American GIs in Viet Nam. Are any of these stories actually verifiable? Well, a small few, and that is to be expected, as any large group will have a few rotten apples, especially when every Jew and Druze is required to serve in the IDF. The Druze leadership insisted that they were part of the Israeli nation and demanded to serve just as the Jews serve and have been a great asset for Israel. The moral here is there are almost uncountable leftists and anti-Zionist, anti-Israelists and anti-Semites and international and national organizations and even entire national governments who all desire for Israel to be stomped out of existence simply because it is the nation-state of the Jewish People. For some it is the idea of the Jew, those little people who they had subjugated and mistreated for centuries now had their own military and were fully capable of taking revenge for the previous mistreatments or they might take over the world or seek a “Greater Israel” or any of a thousand delusional ideas and killing the beast before it does what they fear is their only solution, kill the Jewish State just as they used to kill the Jewish People.

 

But this problem is closer to home as these are actual members of the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset, and they are claiming that the declarative statements of known facts by the Nationality Law has denied them of equality under the law and is of an Apartheid nature. Did we mention that these are Minister from within the Israeli government who have the full rights and privileges provided to every other Minister of the Knesset including bringing laws to the floor and having them voting to remove Jewish towns and neighborhoods and that these same Ministers of the Knesset have supported exactly these policies allying with the Palestinian Authority and also with Hamas, Islamic Jihad and even Hezballah, a foreign force based in and ruling Lebanon while being financed and directed by Iran. There are but a few of the freest nations of this world where their government representatives could meet with a group which has sworn to destroy the nation and appear with them at the United Nations meeting with officials to find the most effective means of denouncing their home nation of Apartheid and silencing their voice while they bring legislation, file court appeals and speak their minds in national television and radio as well as in the nation’s halls of power. This would be a short list which would include the United States (for the time being), Canada (if they were careful), Britain (they are used to such after their scrapes with northern Ireland and Scotland), France (possibly) and Israel where such happens with regularity. One Minister of the Knesset named Hanin Zoabi was an active participant in the attempt to run the blockade of Gaza by the Mani Marmara and who appeared in a class of an Israeli school telling the children that the IDF troops were murderers who killed the people attacking them for no reason because, as Hanin Zoabi tells the story, the blockade runners were humanitarians against an evil and oppressive Israel, a lesson the children vehemently denied of having even a scintilla of truth. She is also a member of Joint Arab List.

As for what Israel can and should do and what Israel will do are entirely different choices. Israel can and should revoke these Ministers of their Ministerial Immunity and then charge them in a court with treason, collusion and every other charge which the Democrats wish to charge President Trump. An investigation should be conducted in the Knesset and if these Ministers are found to have committed acts of treason, sedition or other forms of perfidy, they should be tried immediately for impeachment from the Knesset. Once they are free of their privileged positions in the Knesset, then they can be tried in civil court for their actual criminal actions and potentially be stripped of their citizenship and deported leaving them as people without a nation and persona non grata in Israel, which would also bar them from reentry. These are the kind of people who have such a hatred for the fact that Israel is the nation state of the Jewish People. They claim that this land was stolen from its indigenous inhabitants, and they are correct there. The problem is they refuse to allow that the Jewish People ever resided within this area, despite all the archeological evidence, and claim that the Arab People are the original people. Never mind that the Arabs conquered this region from the Byzantines who became its rulers when Rome fell getting it from the Romans who took it from the Greeks who took it from the Persians who conquered the Babylonians who took the lands of the Assyrians who had conquered the Ten Tribes of Israel but not Judea which was conquered eventually by the Babylonians and the Israelites conquered these lands from various city-states ruled by minor Kings who owed their protection to the Egyptians who were defeated at the Red Sea by Hashem in the well known Biblical accounting.

 

The first nation to make the region their home were the Israelites whose remnants were mostly from the tribe of Judah and lived in Judea and were called Judeans and when the Romans came through, well, they got lazy and careless with the name Judeans as three syllables is rough when your nation is Rome and you are a Roman which all together is three syllables, so they shortened Judean to Judan, two syllables, and finally to Ju which is today written as Jew. So the Israelite whose surviving remnants are called Jews were the first nation to make this region home. Before that, the region was fought over between the Egyptians and the Hittites. The kings of the city-states in the region paid homage and allegiance to whichever of these super states controlled the region. The Egyptians were the controlling power when Joshua brought the Israelites into Canaan where the kings of the several cities allied against him and lost in a great battle told of in the Book of Joshua. These Kings represented the remainder of that which was Egypt which was a beaten nation after the slaves left around 1500 BCE. That makes the Israelites the indigenous people and when Israel broke into two kingdoms, then Israel and Judea were the indigenous nations with Judea being the southern one which retained Jerusalem as it capital city.

 

But these Arab Ministers of the Knesset scream that they have no rights as Arabs in Israel and are not given any voice in Israel despite their very presence in the Israeli Knesset. The first thing you need understand is what they define as having no rights or voice in Israel. They define their having rights as the Arabs having rights and all else serving them as Dhimmis, and for them to have a voice, that voice must be unopposed and simply become law. They also believe that once the Arabs conquered these lands that it could never be taken or ruled by anyone other than an Arab. In the case of Hanin Zoabi is somewhat more difficult to understand. She is a Christian and if those she claims should possess these lands were to retake them, it would be Arab Muslims, followers of Islam and the Quran under which Hanin Zoabi would be considered an apostate and potentially sentenced to death. She is aware of this but her hatred of the Jewish People is so engrained into her body and mind that she would sacrifice herself and her entire family just to deny the Jews the right to self-determination. And that is what the entirety of opposition to Israel is about, the Jews having the right of self-determination. Every other peoples in the world are mostly allowed to rule themselves and practice self-determination with a few unfortunate exceptions, the Kurdish People, the Berber People, the Uyghur People, the Zulu People, the Baloch People, the Catalans People, the Kashmiri People, the Walloon People, the Assyrian People, the Basque People, the Sahrawi People, the Yazidi People, the nations making up Great Britain, the many Native American Tribes from the United States and Canada including Eskimo, plains Indians and others, those of the Russian Federation, the Tibetans who are held throughout China as a dispersal to destroy their peoplehood, and numerous others on the list in the middle of this page. There are so many people who remain stateless and facing the degeneration and dilution of their culture and ability to remain as a people that perhaps the time wasted trying to add to this list should instead be used to shorten the list and give these others justice they deserve.

 

The world is losing these peoples through assimilation which was the one thing which held the Jews separate until the twentieth century. Had Germany not fallen into the iron grip of the National Socialists, Nazis, the Jews were very close to becoming another footnote in history and the majority had completely assimilated and Judaism had become merely a religious choice. The Jews in the United States, outside of a few Orthodox communities which will continue to practice Judaism, are assimilating at such a pace as has never been witnessed before. There is an odd thing about the Jewish People assimilating as it always backfires. The first recorded case was with the Persian Empire where the Jews were so assimilated that Queen Esther married to King Ahasuerus (Xerxes) was a Jewess. You do not get much more assimilated than somebody from your people becoming Queen. Then there was Haman and his sons who really desired ridding Persia of its Jews. King Ahasuerus obliged Haman and gave an order for the Jews to all be slaughtered on a single day. Queen Esther informed that if this royal decree were to be carried out, he could start with her first as she then revealed herself as a Jewess. King Ahasuerus had decreed the slaughter to take place and thus could not rescind any decree, as he was a perfect human, so he issued a decree that the Jews were permitted to resist and even murder those attempting to take their lives on this particular day allowing the Jews the right to self-defense. There was a rather large slaughter that day and most were not the Jews, but the Jews learned that no matter how much they had become part of Persian culture, they would still be viewed as Jews, as outsiders or even usurpers. Jews became Hellenized under Greek rule until there was a Jewish rebellion and the Hellenized Jews learned that the Greeks still saw them as those people. Romans, same story, different rebellion, pick any of three, all of which threw off Roman rule for a short period. The final one ended brutally with the Jews dispersed throughout the Kingdom and even sold outside the kingdom as slaves just as the Romans had done with the Carthaginians after the Third Punic War. Has anybody met a Carthaginian lately? Then how did the Jews remain a people despite the most severe Roman treatment used only to rid Rome of a menace permanently. (A short aside, Hannibal who crossed the Alps with elephants to attack the Romans was a Carthaginian, so you likely have at least heard of one Carthaginian.) The Jews have another form of land that defines us more so than the land, we have Torah. Torah teaches us everything we need to be Jews and remain a people. Torah also tells us that we need to live in the lands that Hashem desires that we reside within so as to take good care of the lands which Hashem gave for us to tend.

 

With the Jewish People, it is all about three things, the Torah and all that encompasses, the Land of Israel and Jerusalem, the gem that sits atop, except for Torah and Hashem. This is actually lands belonging to Hashem and we may only retain this land if we follow Torah and are in good standing with Hashem; this we learned even more deeply once here. Another fact has been proven that this land will only become productive when the Jewish People reside here. This may seem like it is impossible, so allow us to quote what an Arab farmer in Gaza told his son, he reputedly stated, “Son I could not grow anything on our farm and then the Jews returned and rain returned right behind them and the land would grow crops.” We are the land and the land is us and together this works. A Jew can practice his religion all he desires outside of Israel, but here being a Jew is different. We do not want superior rights or anything other than to live here in peace and security having each Jew by his fig tree or with his flock or their choice of occupation and as he follows Torah he will be rewarded with success. We do not desire to take away land from people and are only seeking in some means of being treated with respect and for the nations who have signed the agreements over the many treaties and such which formatted the Mandate System, including Article 80 of the United Nations Charter, would simply fulfill their promises and allow the Jordan River to be our eastern border and the Arabs residing there may remain as legal alien residents which means they can only vote in local elections and not in national elections, and we would also offer a bonus plus above market value for properties you can prove you have ownership, if you wish to leave. These are the rational choices, reside here in peace signing a non-belligerence pledge or take money and leave permanently. But if any chose to remain and engage against Israel, this would be a choice you would soon regret. This time if you choose war, it will be total war just as in the Bible, so perhaps you should read about Jericho before deciding that violence against Israel is your preference.

 

The same will go for those who decide to take the money and then turn around and fight Israel from across the border. This too would be an unadvisable choice. We will welcome those who wish to build a future with us but we will spare no mercy on those who choose to oppose us. That will apply to every Arab in the Shomron and will also apply to those nations which desire our erasure because once we have a solution which is workable to the Arab situation; these nations had best mind their own business. Each nation will choose whether or not they prefer to trade with Israel. Should they not desire our products, so be it, but that does include quite a number of things we invent and ideas we have along with discoveries in medicine, physics, chemistry and computer sciences just to name a few. We lead the world in agriculture technology and growth potentials through breeding healthier foods without the requirement of genetically modified grains, plants and animals. We would prefer to have wonderful relations with all nations and to provide them with knowledge and the means by which to utilize the knowledge. These are the desires of most Israelis, to be able to realize all which was promised since we survived when the United States and the major European powers placed arms embargos on Israel in 1948-9 and many aided the Arab cause with weapons and in a few cases with actual military advisers. We survived due to a few exceptions such as Czechoslovakia who provided Israel with World War II fighters from all the sides, American, British, Russian and Nazi plus armor and rifles. As a final note, the United Nations General Assembly Resolution partitioning Israel though accepted by Israel was rejected outright by the Arab League making it null and void and thus it has no bearing on reality and this also left our border as the Jordan River once again becoming the only legal border for the Jewish State as defined in the Mandate Map dividing the lands between the Arab state of Transjordan (Jordan) and the Jewish State (Israel).

A General View of the World

 

At the top of our concerns has to do with the Israeli Supreme Court, in particular the leftist Justices and the Justice Minister. These groups of Justices are thinking of invalidating the recent new Basic Law called the Nationality Law. In the past it has been considered beyond the scope of the Supreme Court to countermand any law passed as a Basic Law. These Justices had gotten used to acting in response to any leftist demands protesting laws passed by the Knesset and their having simply invalidating them from their position without having a case brought. This had become a dangerous situation as the Supreme Court had become a dictatorial force. The present Justice Minister had acted to bring such actions under control thus preventing the Supreme Court blocking legislation or even making laws from the bench and even at times countermanding orders given by officers in the IDF. Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked has thusfar prevented their doing so while under her watch. She had even stripped the Supreme Court from ordering demolitions of housing by restructuring the laws such that these were now to be decided in the lower courts where actual deeds of ownership would be required proving ownership of such lands rather than decrees coming without such proof as had become the case. No longer can a complaint be lodged without deed to prove ownership of lands as the Supreme Court had been doing in the past. Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked has warned these Supreme Court Justices not to act as they are considering or face severe consequences. Should they challenge her on this, they will soon understand that there is no fury like a women scorned. Hopefully, these justices will understand that the rules have changed and that they no longer rule Israel, the elected representatives of the people do. Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked has even altered the means by which new Supreme Court justices are chosen such that the court no longer basically can choose their own replacements. This has been a benefit for the people as their elected governance now rules and not a black robed group of unelected justices.

 

The supposed peace between Israel and Hamas has hit a snag, which may not be as bad as one might believe. Where the elected Hamas run government, elected being those chosen who Hamas picked to run, had agreed to the ceasefire but the military arm of Hamas has refused to honor any ceasefire choosing instead to try to destroy Israel through military means. The unfortunate result is the incendiary balloons and kites will continue to be launched into Israel setting more fires and potentially threatening homes and businesses. Many Israelis are reaching the point where they simply want Gaza erased from the earth and retaken complete cleared of its current inhabitants. The government refuses to bend to this will as they know that the United Nations, European Union, most European nations, the Arab and Muslim worlds and many others would be up in arms and demanding that Israel be brought before the International Court of Justice in the Hague for war crimes and crimes against humanity. The excuse which the Prime Minister would give any media asking his reaction to such a move would likely be that we cannot anger the United States and President Trump. What many Israelis believe is that President Trump would likely not say anything and would be more likely to block any motions in the Security Council demanding Israel be prosecuted stating that Israel was simply removing a terrorist threat to the nation and her people. Still, the Israeli government will not be testing this theory and the Hamas threats from Gaza will unfortunately remain for the time being. Eventually, their threat will require the retaking of Gaza and recognizing and admitting that relinquishing control of Gaza was a serious mistake for which Israel has been punished enough.

 

Further news from the confrontations along the Gaza perimeter not only include more launching of incendiary devices but also Hamas terrorists engaging IDF soldiers shooting at them resulting in IDF responding fire. The Hamas position was targeted by an IDF tank and the position was eliminated killing the two Hamas terrorists who had engaged the IDF from an armored bunker. Armored bunkers are quite adequate to protect one from rifle fire but a tank round is something complete different. The resulting tank fire can be seen at the end of the video below which also shows the Hamas terrorists firing at the IDF position across the border. The moral is to not annoy people who have greater firepower than you are protected against. With any luck, this might convince the military wing of Hamas to agree to a ceasefire. The only real problem with reaching a ceasefire with Hamas is that they will break the agreement as soon as they have rearmed sufficiently to cause more damage and threat to life than their last round of violence. This is why they call any ceasefire a hudna, which in Islamic history is an agreement for ten years or until the Islamic forces have rearmed sufficiently to achieve their goals.

 

 

On a brighter note, Ruach HaShem Gordon from Shilo, Israel, won the male youth 14-15 category in 40kg at the 1/4 semi-final against a Sri Lankan opponent with a final score 30-28, although weighing less than 40kg and being shorter than his opponent. He will continue into the semifinals and we wish him good fortune, as this is Ruach’s second time at the Youth World Championship. Israelis often do very well in many of these martial arts competitions partially due to training in Krav Maga, an Israeli developed martial art used by the IDF, as it is a method for overwhelming an opponent reaching a quick and some claim brutal victory.

 

The Russian interference in the 2016 election continues to limp ahead with them now hinting that they are now considering looking into conspiracy of President Trump. There is a reason for why they have stated this change in direction. The level of proof for conspiracy is so far below the original charges of actual criminal acts to alter the results of the election. What appears to have come about is that the Mueller special council investigation is as they find less and less evidence of any wrong-doing or even collusion that they are continuing to move the goal posts closer and close such that they have lowered the bar about as low as is possible. The only question is when will the plug be pulled and what will happen when that day finally arrives. Nancy Pelosi and others have threatened to bring charges against President Trump for impeachment for obstruction of justice if he were to end the Mueller special council investigation. The already ridiculousness of the original charge for the Mueller investigation where he was charged to investigate the Trump campaign and anybody connected to the campaign for wrongdoing beginning with Russian collusion to alter the results of the election to any other criminal acts which can be uncovered. A simple description of these guidelines was that Mueller was to investigate until he found something with which he could charge President Trump no matter how far they had to go or how slight the criminal act or hint thereof.

 

The initial Iran sanctions have been passed which will make nations and companies have to choose whether they wish to do business with Iran or with the United States. The President of Iran, Rouhani, responded to the move claiming that he would be willing to meet with President Trump as requested without preconditions providing that the United States apologizes for all that they have done to damage Iran and pay compensations to Iran. What is it with these Middle East dictatorial regimes that they believe that no preconditions means that they do not need to give up anything but the United States and Israel must be required to surrender everything these countries demand and then they will discuss any further surrender which will be demanded by these nations. Actually, if one studies Islam they will immediately understand that it simply states that Allah has promised them that they will rule the world and as Muslims, they are superior to all others. Islam places Muslims above everybody else because anyone who is not a believer of Islam is a Dhimmi, which makes them a second-class people who must defer to any and all Muslims. As a Dhimmi, you have no right to be represented in any court case which is brought against them. Non-Muslims are subjected to Dhimmitude as how they will be treated. This is usually reserved for Jews and Christians as People of the Book while others have even less rights under Islam. Some within Islam have stated that the United States was founded upon an Islamic foundation rather than a Christian or Judeo-Christian foundation, thus the United States is actually an Islamic State.

 

On a completely different front, the gender wars continue in the Western World. The main concept behind this movement apparently is that the normative over 90% of the world must defer to the minority sexually different people who most would claim are confused about their gender. It was not that long ago that such people were listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders as requiring mental health counselling and assistance. They would have been referred to psychologists for treatment rather than the normative population being forced to facilitate this small minority and whatever their proclivities demand. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders was edited such that these disorders were removed from the list of disorders under extreme pressure from those who desire removing all sexual disorders or unlawful proclivities from their former classifications under the law and mental disorders and instead injected into normative society and demand they be made comfortable no matter how uncomfortable it may make the majority of people. One of the demands from these activists is that everybody be permitted to use whichever restroom which agrees with their emotional state and not necessarily their physical gender. They refer to these gender confused people of having the wrong gender as an accident of birth and their genes and these people should be permitted to use restrooms and even showers at the gym which agree with their mental state and not their gender which is merely an accident of physiology.

 

Future World will be Bright One Way or the Other

 

The world has so many ideas in the modern world which would have been considered a sign of mental disorders if people were to suggest these ideas be considered, let alone passed into law, back not all that long ago. Sometimes, as people somewhat advanced in age, but not overtly so, we look at a world we do not recognize with ideas being considered as normal today which were considered not to even be discussed in polite conversation back in the day, as we call it. As to where the world is going, we have a difficult enough time dealing with some of where the world has reached. We have realized that the speed with which changes are arriving has increased exponentially and will only accelerate from here. We see a future where things are going to change; our only worry is which direction this change will be. Will the age of Artificial Intelligence and robotics arrive before a new and probably decisively final World War where weapons potentially beyond our imaginations are used and the result to society and the world will be far beyond our reckoning. The future could reach heights where many of the current problems will finally be problems in the past worldwide and a world where computers are used to advance the human condition and robotics free people up to pursue their own directions and the people in the current third world will have resources providing food and clean water and a level of life which is unthinkable to them currently. There could be a future where want will be something of the past, resources will be made available for the conquest of space, and a completely new frontier will be opened for the human race. The other direction the world might take will pit the human race in a divisive war where almost the entirety of the world will end up choosing sides and survival will be the main goal of humanity. We pray every day for the best and fear for the worst and unfortunately, that is the limit of our power. The next decade will be decisive and perhaps we will have the opportunity to do another one of these articles and sum up the changes, or not.
