And the Great Republican Trump Slayer Is…

First, let us review a few overly obvious insights. The Republican hierarchy does not particularly like President Trump. This is especially true of the New England, Country Club Republican moneyed people such as the Bush’s. They find him marginally better than Hillary Clinton. Trump did not belong to the Skull and Bones or attend Harvard or Yale. His college did not have ivy covered buildings or even one vine of ivy. He has a rough and tumble styled personality with little if any refinement. He doesn’t even hold his pinkie out when sipping tea and he has never even sipped tea, what a barbarian. Trump is uncouth, surprise, surprise. He is insulting and very rough on a refined ear. Never mind that these oh so refined Republicans, much like their Democrat cousins, have family histories steeped in criminal or marginally legal acts through which their fortunes were built. They now set the standard that those who desire to reach the heights of power must, at the very least, pretend to value and toe their line. They are the “old money” and they turn their noses up at the upstarts such as the Trump family along with others whose dirty dealings brought them into money less than four generations back. They really want somebody else to represent their pure and refined Republican Party and have no space for those popularists who appeal to those “flyover people” who hold the coasts apart.

One need understand that the elite Republicans and elite Democrats who run the United States are two sides of the same coin and are the problem. They both fear Trump because he could expose their monopoly on power over the last hundred years plus and how they have played the American people with their ruse of there being any difference between the two parties. The political spectrum presented to the American people places the Democrats at the far left edge, or there abouts, and places the Republicans at the far right edge, or there abouts. This is what is drilled into the little heads of mush from the very first lesson given in grade school and the left edge is treated as the center and the natural order of things while the right is to be feared as exclusionary. They never bother to tell you that both groups are exclusionary and being exclusionary is not necessarily an evil thing. We are taught to be exclusionary when choosing friends and to avoid those bad people, who are defined differently depending on where you are raised. The reality is that both the Democrat Party and the Republican Party are both together slightly left of center and sliding ever more to the left while the United States Constitution is quite a bit to the right of both parties and they have slid far from the founding positions and are moving ever more away (see diagram below). What you also notice, if you are actually paying attention, is that where the top has the edges defined as right and left, the bottom has them as Statism and Individualism. This is due to another little lie you were taught, that the Communists were on the left, meaning good, and the Nazis were on the right, meaning bad, and this was taught so true conservatives being equated with Nazism made perfect sense as both were defined as on the right. The truth is Nazism and Communism are two varieties of the same socio-political construct, Socialism. The difference between the two comes down to a single word as the Nazis are National Socialists and the Communists are International Socialists. Their only real difference was the Nazis desired everybody to be German Socialists where the state directed all production and ownership without actually owning them and the Communists wanted to do away with the concept of statehood and sell themselves as the party of the people when in reality they would become the party of the people who were at the top of the government. The Nazis took over the decisions of production while allowing the original owners to continue running the particulars to reach the desired goals allowing those who knew how to manage and get results in place while the Communists removed the owners of the companies and land owners and executed them as villains of the people and then placed their friends in charge of everything and could not figure out why production suffered with people who knew nothing about running a company now running the companies and those who had never grown even a potted plant now becoming the farmers.

Political Spectrum Taught Versus Actual

Both forms of Socialism have their problems as does any form of government, the most challenging of all is keeping government from growing and stifling freedom and productivity with too many laws and regulations, of which regulations are the more sinister as they are put in place by bureaucrats who are not elected and usually cannot be fired or even identified. Perhaps a good idea would be for everyone who is in a meeting that approves a new regulation be required to sign their names along with the person who originated the regulation signing it in letters the size of John Hancock when signing the Declaration of Independence. Why not have them put their good old John Hancock on the regulations they design, factory workers are required to sign off on items they worked on defining their parts and job requirements so if it fails down at testing, the company knows who is doing their job incorrectly and can retrain them or replace them. The same should apply to government regulations. This would be an idea that President Trump would likely really find of interest, perhaps somebody could show him this idea for us, and please give us the due credit.

We should get back to the subject at hand. Perhaps we should start with a slow build-up though most of you already know who it is the Republicans have chosen to replace President Trump on the 2020 ballot. He is really no stranger to us and has run for President and lost before. He is about to become a carpetbagger and be elected to the United States Senate in a state in which he may have a legal residence but has never represented before in his political life. In many ways, he will be the reverse Hillary. Hillary Clinton went from being from Arkansas to the Senator from New York and this individual will be going from Governor of Massachusetts to the Senator from Utah. She went from flyover country to the big East Coast and he is going from the big East Coast to flyover country. Yes, you guessed it; we are talking about Mitt Romney. Are all the Republicans cheering and excited about not voting for Mitt Romney again? Just think, if Hillary Clinton were to steal the nomination in 2020 and Mitt Romney steals the nomination in 2020, the United States could have the worst turnout at the polls in its history as both parties refuse to support their candidates. It would be such fun to watch nobody really care which one wins, as it would make no difference.

We would like to close by counting down some of the most important accomplishments President Trump has performed almost single-handedly and with minimal recognition from the establishment. The reason is it has been the establishment and its tentacles which President Trump has revealed. The media has been laid bare for all to see and their complicity in manipulating the information rather than reporting the information is now understood by all. He has completely blown the lid off there being any real difference between the hardline Republicans and hard line Democrats where the differences are minimal and they actually all but work as one unit. He has made obvious that the real problem is exactly as Ronald Reagan stated those many years ago, “Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.” (see video below) President Trump wrote an executive order to the executive branch employees and managers in particular that for every new regulation any department writes, they need to retire two older regulations. We will grant that every department has many hundreds if not thousands of regulations which are not enforced. Some selections of these are not enforced for a reason, as they are part of the plan for totalitarian government control in the near future. The idea, which is a tried and true concept used by governments throughout history, is to make all the laws and regulations necessary for the government to assume complete control over the entirety of production and limit all freedoms curtailing even free travel without government approval. These are not provisions for an emergency; they are fully enforceable regulations lying basically dormant. When the time came and the wrong person was in the White House and their party controlled Congress, then all the dormant regulations would come from their sleepy folders and be enforced all at once. What happens is you wake one morning and all of a sudden, you find your personal vehicle impounded and every inch of your life is being turned upside-down. You have new people running your workplace and many people you know disappear never to be seen again unless you run into them by accident. Should you run into them, they are no longer the same, as they appear to have suffered something so traumatic that their minds are as if they were wiped clean and they have been turned into simpletons incapable of free thought.

By the time you see these people in this state, you will have been conditioned sufficiently yourself to know to simply walk away and accept the loss and say nothing. By then you would have learned to master your facial emotiveness and eradicated all visible signs of caring or being offended by anything. That would come under the definition of survival in this Brave New World where your former workmate now sips their tea with the pinkie held out while murmuring, “I love Big Brother.” How does the United States avoid falling into that trap? That, my friends, is an excellent question. Thus far the only governments to have avoided such or similar fate are those still progressing to that point. Progressing to that point is an appropriate label as it will be the Progressives (also have been called Leftists, Liberals, forward-looking, radicals, revolutionaries, Democrats, Republicans or Socialists) who take the country there. What all these political labels have in common is they are Statists and believe that government can solve every problem and when their government solution causes new problems, the government can solve those just as adequately. The people who are guaranteed to take the nation, any nation, to this point have a title and an occupation, they are called politicians. Politicians are in the business of being in your business. They truly believe their life’s raison d’être is to assure that everybody lives a perfect life and they are going to define exactly what that perfect life should be in the name of individual freedom. They accomplish this over the long haul, as you cannot impinge on people to that great an extent overnight without first conditioning them over most of their lives. How do you condition people to take such a threat to their own free choice? Easy, you teach them to accept all authority, work only in groups where no one person is given recognition though it is expected for the group to carry their weakest members (often they make up the majority in the team and live off other’s efforts), be weak finding offense easily and then reacting as if all is lost and they then go to those who define offenses to receive calming and other therapies. These therapies often include warm blankets, puppies or kittens, coloring books, soft insipid music and therapists or psychologists. They raise a population of what are currently called snowflakes and are actually more like sheep in waiting for their assigned ram to follow everywhere and to define their actions. The rams are bred separately by the politicians and are often their children whom they believe will be assigned by them to rule the New World Order. The world will likely be split into three large groups, Oceania, Eurasia and Eastasia (see map below). They will have a reason for their New World Order to be divided, this way they gain additional control as they stage wars between the three factions. One will be your ally and the other your enemy and then at some point they change around to the opposite. This provides a means for rationing and every sort of political heavy-handedness. Control will be the watchword and the world will resemble a combination of George Orwell’s 1984 and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley with a heavy dose of Albert Camus.

Again, let us return to Mitt Romney and his presumed primary challenge to Donald Trump in 2020. Should Romney succeed and defeat Trump to represent the Republican Party in 2020, we can expect whomever the Democrat Party nominates to win. The truth is, unless the Democrat Party selects Keith Ellison, Mitt Romney would probably lose once more as he cannot get much of the Republican base out to vote in the required swing states which Trump won. His only chance is to get the Democrats to nominate somebody who can be made to appear so controversial and outside the American mainstream, that Romney becomes a life preserver for those people. This was President Trump’s magic ticket; he was the not-Hillary candidate. Had the Democrat Party nominated Bernie Sanders, then Trump very likely would have lost, as the youth vote added to the Democrat base would have won the election for “Bernie” just as they did for President Obama, twice. Either party can still win an election if they can find a sizeable sector and produce for them a solid reason to get out and vote. The Presidency is still about getting your base excited and out to vote. The coming midterm elections will have a very active leftist Democrats voting plus their standard base of voters which could cause problems for the Republican candidates. They are going to have the uphill battle in swing states and will need to give their base reasons to get to the voting booths.

This will not be a problem which Mitt Romney will face in Utah as he does have a residence there, he is a member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, attended Brigham Young University (BYU) as did his fiancée, and his mother was a native of Logan, Utah. Much of his political life was spent as United States Senator and Governor for the state of Massachusetts as well as saving the failing Winter Olympic Games of 2002 held in Salt Lake City, Utah by assuming the role of President of the Organizing Committee. Should Mitt Romney prevail, which all signs claim he shall, this would be his first political position for the state of Utah. His previous life in Utah and working for the Salt Lake City Olympics do make him far less of a carpetbagger than was Hillary Clinton when she ran for the Senate seat for the state of New York. Still, Mitt Romney is a very competent manager and leader and would serve as an adequate, if not excellent, President if only he could be electable. The other point which needs making is that by forcing the Republican Party in Utah to give Mitt Romney their Senate seat is preventing the advancement of other likely presentable and decent candidates. There have also been rumors that the Republican leadership plans to appoint Mitt Romney a plum position of prominence such as Chairman of National Republican Senatorial Committee or talk of him replacing Mitch McConnell and becoming the Republican Senatorial Leader and possibly Majority Leader should the Republicans hold the Senate. All of these speculations point to grooming of Mitt Romney and keeping his name prominently in the news. He is a known critic of President Trump which he moderated while he pleaded his case to be Secretary of State but resumed attacking the President even taking a swipe when announcing his run for the Utah Senate seat. We can expect Mitt Romney to run the Republican #Never Trump wing of the party taking opposing views and blocking a goodly amount of President Trump’s initiatives. This could become an ugly conflict fought out in full public view with President Trump utilizing his Twitter Account while Mitt Romney will utilize and ever eager media which will feed on anything he states which can be turned against the President no matter the intent by Romney. The media will use Romney to fuel their war on President Trump. The difficulty Mitt Romney will face is the lack of honesty perceived to exist, or the lack thereof, in the media being so strong that his message, no matter how it is presented, will be ignored or simply not believed to be valid as reported. This will mean that Romney will need a secondary means for getting his message heard. This is where President Trump has proven effective, using the media as his own tool to wield while still getting his message out. The only problem is sifting through the noise to find the nuggets of actual message and intent, not just ridicule. What will a nation decide if they need to choose between Donald Trump and Mitt Romney and will the people’s choice even matter or will the game be fixed as per the Democrats selecting Hillary Clinton. If the Republicans are perceived to have put in the fix to nominate Mitt Romney, then we would not give a plug nickel of a chance for his winning the Presidency. His age precludes his being patient and we doubt he has given up on getting the gold ring and winning the biggest prize, the Oval Office.

The Destruction of Civility

Some cynics I know whose idea of civility is simply saying, “Who cares,” claim that civility is overrated and not really required in the world today. Our thought when hearing this is that we have a question we silently pass over in our minds of whether civilization is necessary in these people’s world or is that too overrated and not really required in the world today. We believe that civility is a prerequisite for civilization for without the cooperation and polite exchange of ideas, civilization ends up in tatters and will not function. The United States and much of the world are heading for a collapse of their common civilization which in the end will be traced by those who come along to study the failings of Western Civilization will conclude that first there was a breakdown in civility which was instrumental in the downfall of the civilization. There will likely be many theories on what drove the people to such a point that they no longer could find any common ground and to totally dismiss one another leading to total societal dysfunction and dissolution breaking the civilization down. The common theme will likely include the breakdown in communication where the various divisions in the society would refuse to accept any contrary view demanding that only they have the right path and because they know they are correct, they never need to tolerate the idiots on the other side or who hold contrary opinions.

In the United States, the lack of civility is so obvious that it has caused people to actually unfriend people on Facebook and other social networks banning receiving any posts from these former online friends. Europe has suffered from varying degrees of political poisoned discourse where political differences would lead to uncivil behavior between groups. What is even more worth noting is that some of this behavior can occur between groups whose politics appear to be of the same ilk, either left or right, nationalist or universalist, libertarian or authoritarianism or other definitions of political thought where two parties fall into the same general definition yet go after one another as if they were opposing adversaries having disagreements over near everything, not over slight differences. The levels of incivility in politics has reached levels not seen since probably the 1860’s and the slavery abolition movement. According to Wikipedia, covering political incivility, “Eight out of 10 Americans believe that the lack of civil discourse in the political system is a serious problem. Eighty-two percent of American respondents to a 2011 survey felt that political advertisements were too “nasty” and 72 percent believed that political commercials that attacked the opponent were “inappropriate”.” The levels and amount of political and public incivility have become even more overblown and in some ways appear to be cracking the very fabric of the society. When marriages have broken up over the spouses having voted for opposing candidates in the last Presidential elections, business partners have dissolved their businesses in order to go their separate ways after their disagreements in the last election, and family members have declared other members of their families dead to them over their votes in the last election are all signs of excessive dysfunction and an excessively high level of incivility to points where it could easily become harmful to the society itself. Such fracturing in a society has to be something very dangerous and destructive which could lead to a societal breakdown or a breakdown of the political system.

Either societal or political fractures are of such destructive capabilities that either can lead to the destruction of any nation no matter its size or presumed sophistication. The United States is one nation to have survived the ultimate fracturing of their nation which resulted in their Civil War. The recovery from that division and war took a great deal of effort and time but was facilitated by an eventual forgiveness between the two sides and the coming industrial revolution which massively altered the face of the society and the need for slaves to work on the plantation farms. They were replaced by tractors and harvesting machinery which replaced manpower. America had entered the age of machines and she never looked back. Now their society is facing new threats where the two sides in the political front have drifted so far apart that there appears to be no common ground. Politics is dependent upon there existing neutral ground where the two opposing parties can meet when designing and passing legislation and keeping the government functioning. When the two separate sides, be they a ruling coalition and the opposition as in much of Europe or the two main parties as in the United States, there need be some area where the opposing sides can meet finding common ground for the common good of the nation. But when the two sides feel that they must oppose everything from the other side no matter what because their voters refuse to admit there can be any agreements, then the attitude is poisonous enough to cause a complete breakdown of function by the government. All which would be required to bring such a government into collapse or bring a coalition to calling for a new set of election is for a few members of the majority to fall out of line and join the opposing side ending any majority.

Civility

Civility

This is partially what President Trump has been facing with the ‘Never Trump’ Republicans throwing the Senate completely beyond any ability to accomplish anything meaningful. When one political party is voting as a block against every effort and a sector of the majority party have decided to support the minority party, such a situation easily would lead to what appears to be a virtual coup. But the problems in Washington D.C. are a small part of the problem which could be resolved by the midterm elections, especially if President Trump can gain support in the Senate against historic records. But the political split which is so severe in the United States is also echoed in the public. The split in the United States is easily defined, the people on the coasts and living in the major cities and the more rural citizens and those in smaller cities and towns. The split also is between those who are religious attending church or synagogue and those who are secularists. This might be another reason why the two sides are so far apart and cannot find anything in common. One can only guess whether the split will heal or if one side of the political split will become preeminent and eclipse the other side. We anticipate that the arguments currently invigorating the United States may subside once one side prevails. The one thing we can likely guarantee is this conflict will continue throughout the entire Presidency of Donald Trump and possibly beyond should President Trump be reelected and Vice President Pence follow him into office. We can see the eventuality of the Republican moving even further to the left while their base moves further to the right which will destroy the party. Once such becomes apparent, then the Democrats will begin to win every election as why vote for the Republican if they represent pretend Democrats when you can elect a real Democrat. Eventually the former and now disgruntled Republicans and the remnants who remain truly conservative establish a new party, the Republicans will merge with the Democrats and a new split will appear, but this may be too late to prevent the United States becoming exactly the same as the European nations which will be the end of the Western World as they will no longer have any military to protect them. Without the United States military, the West will collapse and fall to whoever decides to take them over and that will be the death of democratic governance.

So You Didn’t Think We Were Serious?

Back about a year ago, the Republican base went to the primaries and chose what had to be the most vulnerable, most crazy, most eccentric whack-job out of the entire list of seventeen candidates. Then the Republican base turned out in numbers sufficient to elect that very Whack-job President of the United States. Still, the establishment did not believe that perhaps the base finally was not going to take it any longer. Then, until yesterday, this same group of Republicans elected every single person that President Trump backed until the choice of Roy Moore instead of Luther Strange, and Roy Moore was the outsider in that race. The one time Trump sided with the Republican leadership and backed their candidate, he lost and the outlier, the more unusual candidate wins. Perhaps there were two messages in the Alabama election, one to President Trump demanding he stay with the story that won him the election and go for everything he promised because they have his back and the other was to the Republican leadership demanding they get with the program and start with repeal and replace Obamacare, complete Tax Reform, no easy path for DACA or any other illegal immigrants and all judges had best continue to be like Gorsuch, true conservatives who will not wilt with time. The Republican base, their mainstream, regular Joe and Jill are demanding that they be listened to and that they demand changes from business as usual. Number one is that the promise to repeal and replace Obamacare be kept. Second is complete and total Tax Reform like President Trump promised on the campaign. Lastly, no amnesty for illegal immigrants as promised, none. No more Mr. and Mrs. Nice voters, that is their promise.

The Republican Party has not had a real majority since Newt Gingrich and the contract with America. The Republican base is now believing that the promises made by President Trump and the claims made by Republicans over the past several years are the new contract with America and are expecting action, not infighting and main players in the Republican Party deciding that their ego means that they cannot allow Trump to succeed. The professional politicians may have decided that Trump must fail in order to teach the electorate a lesson about sending a non-political professional to Washington and expect them to accomplish what they promised. These professional lifetime political hacks are insisting on teaching the public a lesson about how the political structure works and how only those who have paid their dues and served lower offices and worked their way up the ranks are to be permitted to run for the Senate, for President. But they have miscalculated in thinking that they are going to teach the public a lesson.

The people know who these people are though after a few important lessons they decided to play things closer to their vests. During the first vote to repeal Obamacare there were seven Republicans who voted against the three plans including Lamar Alexander, Shelley Moore Capito, Susan Collins, Dean Heller, John McCain, Lisa Murkowski and Rob Portman and a selection of others which voted against at least one of the three plans. Since then there have been two who have submarined any hopes for repealing and replacing Obamacare, John McCain and either Susan Collins or Lisa Murkowski. The last two are very liberal Republicans who come from states which will reelect them so they are safe and John McCain is doing this largely because of his principles. He was against Trump from the start, in the closing of the primaries and probably secretly desired his loss in the general election and was a “Never Trump” leader through and through. He has decided to make it his life’s purpose to see to it that President Trump becomes an embarrassment in order to make sure that no outsider ever again tries to enter politics without paying their dues and working within the system. For Senator McCain it is all about the system, the system which has kept him and his cohorts on both sides of the aisle in power safely spending other people’s money until the national debt of the United States has cleared twenty-trillion dollars and is a threat to every man, woman and child in the United States.

The people have had enough, well, at least many Republicans. These are not the elites within the society, they are the regular people who have worked in a factory, a mill, a coal mine, or some other job which where it may not have been the most satisfying occupation, it paid the bills, put food on the table and kept a roof over that table. They have watched as the coastal elites and their corrupt functionaries from both parties have taken a once functional country and changed the face of the nation through bribery to gain votes and turning neighbor against neighbor and breaking the nation into bands of special interest groups each one pitted against the rest and used to keep the same people who caused the problems in office promising ever more government in order to fix those exact problems their last great idea caused.

Let us take healthcare as our example. Way back when the entire insanity started, they came up with Medicare for the elderly to be taken care of against rising healthcare prices. Why were the prices rising? Well, it might have had something to do with increasing regulations, restrictions, and paperwork which slowly forced the neighborhood doctor to need to hire an assistant to handle the paperwork and then another to file even more paperwork and then they made it all but illegal through regulations for a doctor to operate from their home. The doctors then would join and have a clinic which brought more regulations and paperwork. Then they went after the insurance companies forcing increases in rates and that influenced healthcare costs. The huge lawsuit monetary rewards forced hospitals and insurance companies to settle without going to court even if they were not at fault, as they could not afford to risk a trial. Then along came Medicaid and medical costs jumped even higher. During President Clinton’s first term, they attempted to pass Hillarycare but public protests prevented that from passing. President Obama got a very similar plan passed by using the Democrat supermajorities in Congress all without a single Republican vote. Everyone has seen how well that has worked out but still there are parts of that disaster which people are demanding be kept because they give something for nothing. Now, in order to repair the damage done by Obamacare they want to have the government take over healthcare completely because that has worked so well absolutely nowhere. Every nation with such plans has virtually no military and is totally dependent on the United States for their protection. What they do have is long wait lines, rationed care, and a crumbling healthcare system with moribund of any advances in medical care and treatments. Total government healthcare has been an unmitigated disaster and will drive the United States to complete and utter financial ruin where there will be no funds left for infrastructure, no military funding, almost nothing but healthcare which will still be underfunded and taxes will need to double or more. And all that the people have to do is sacrifice one of, if not the best, healthcare system in the world. It is currently mortally wounded and if Obamacare is not repealed and healthcare returned to the public realm, then that will bring the end of the United States in more ways than just healthcare.

The system is broken and it is going to take drastic measures to roll back the Federal Government and put the genie back into the bottle. The promises of something for nothing sound wonderful and if you are on the receiving end and in the bottom forty-five percent of the tax bracket and pay no taxes, then it really is something for nothing. If, on the other hand, you are in the top twenty-five percent of earners, you know, the super-wealthy, those making over $75,000 a year, then it is not something for nothing as you get to pay for yours and two other peoples something for nothing and often you do not even get to have your something. The sad thing is even if the people wise up and come to their senses and realize that they are being had because if only they would pay their own way, then prices would fall, taxes would fall and eventually the debt would start to be paid. The first step is to minimize the ever-increasing deficit spending which adds more than half a trillion dollars to the debt each year. Once the deficit spending has been curtailed which will require sacrificing programs, often popular programs, then work can begin on the actual debt. One of the first realizations which the people must reach is that the government cannot raise children better than parents, cannot help the needy better than charities and religious institutions, and that private will always be an improvement over public programs. Finally, the best means of addressing any problem is locally, even down to each individual neighborhood. The entire idea of the United States Constitution was for each state to be more powerful than the Federal Government with the Federal Government addressing things with restrictions placed upon it by the Constitution as stated in the Tenth Amendment which states,

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

Tenth Amendment

The simplest explanation of the concept put forward by the Tenth Amendment is that primarily each person is most responsible for his or her own business. Next up is the family which is supposed to assist the individual especially with things they are not able to handle alone. Next would be the neighbors, the community, your religious institutions, the city government, county government and finally the state government would each handle those things beyond the lesser level. The system is presumed to work best which is closest to the people and the problem. The final step of having the Federal Government handle a problem is the system of last resort. The Founding Fathers believed that if each locality tried to take care of the every day activities and problems there would be literally hundreds of differing systems and the ones which worked the best would be copied and used until somebody tried and found something better but that things would be kept at the lowest governmental level such that the people could keep a close watchful eye on their governance. That went away with the onset of the progressives and their egalitarian movements which put forth that the level of government which could affect the widest good should be tasked with doing so. That turned the Tenth Amendment on its head and basically started the idea that everything was to be handled by Washington D.C. and that the States, Counties and Cities would only be required to do those items which the Federal Government would task them to do and otherwise behave and wait for the big boys to handle their problems. That led to one size fits all solutions which were not tailored to localities in any manner and often resulted in waste and the more local governments having to fix things which they should have done themselves and thus would not have been anywhere near as broken. But why mess with such a perfect way of making even more of a mess.
